Chapter 3: New School.

Kagome looked at herself in the mirror, she was thankful for her vampire blood running through her veins as all her bruises and wounds were already healed so she didn't have to worry about that, but she still had trouble getting used to the blueness of her eyes. It was still weird to her that she had human blood running through her veins as well-even though she found out years ago-it was still a shock. However, she had no control over that so she better start just accepting the unchangeable. It was hard, though, it was because of her human blood that her mother wasn't fully accepted into the coven, it was because of her human blood that they had been exiled out of said coven, it was because of her human blood that the other vampires didn't accept her and were cruel towards her, it was because of her human blood that now her parents and her little brother had to hide who they really were and that pissed her off more than all the other reasons.

To sum it all up-she hated her human blood and didn't think she would ever come to truly accept it for what it was.

She looked at her clothes; black long sleeve shirt with a black jacket and black skinny jeans with black converse shoes. Even though it was summer Kagome always wore long sleeve, jackets and jeans and everything she owned was black, she didn't get hot or cold like normal humans did, she only wore what she did to keep as much of her skin hidden from the sun as possible. She grabbed a bottle sunblock that was especially made for vampires so they could go outside during the day and put some on her face, her neck and ran some on her scalp brushing the excess off with her brush. She then put on a black beanie and some black sunglasses.

She sighed, turned away from the mirror and grabbing her backpack she stomped her way out of her room. Walking into the kitchen Kagome saw a single plate of sausage eggs and some hash browns and a glass of animal blood-even though she could live on human food she still needed some blood to fully nourish her and staff of the hunger for blood-sitting on the table. She looked around, but quickly saw that the rest of the house was empty-she surmised that her parents and brother were in the woods in their back yard hunting. Today was the first day of school and her parents wanted to make sure that Sota was full and didn't have any thirst for human blood before he went to school. Just another inconvenience and all because of her! If she wasn't around they wouldn't have to be put through any of this! She had tried countless times to apologize for their misfortune, but her parents and even her brother brushed her off saying that they would go to the end of the Earth for her!

She sat down and starting picking at her food, not really hungry but knowing that she had to eat at least a little and drink all of her animal blood.

Sighing she gave up on eating and just downed her drink, grabbing her dark water bottle of blood. It was dark so no one could see what was actually inside it. She grabbed her backpack and left the house to walk to school, as she was leaving she saw her family coming out of the woods and her and Sota walked to school together.

Sota felt confident that he would be able to pull this off since he had a little practice because his sister had human blood running through her and he had encounters with humans before and was able to hold himself back when needed so he wasn't really worried that he would expose them for what they were.

Their parents both had job interviews that they were optimistic about since when their were in the coven they were very good in what they did. They knew that they would find work easily.

Kagome's and Sota's schools were right across the street from each other-they bid each other farewell and split up to go to their respective schools.

Walking in the school, Kagome gasped at the blast of color and activities that she saw going on, her old school had not been anything like this. They didn't have any school plays or dances or school assemblies or school sports or anything for that matter. Her old school only cared about teaching the students what they needed to learn like hunting for your pray, making a clean incision with your fangs as well as math, science ect. then getting them the heck out of there.

This school, though, had things called gym, art, debating, plays and many other thangs she had no idea what any of it meant. She sighed while staring at all the activities on the bulletin board, she was wrapped up in trying to figure out what cheerleading/football try-outs meant that she didn't see a girl walk up to stand beside her.

"Are you just going to stand there all day or are you going to sign up for something?" The voice made Kagome jump and she whipped her head to stare at the person that spoke. She had long straight black hair that she kept in a low ponytail and cold dead eyes, her face was held in a slight scowl and she wore a bright pink wife beater and a short black plaid skirt with white stocking and black high heel shoes. Kagome watched as the girl looked her up and down with a disapproving and with a mocking chuckle said. "Though I doubt we have anything going on here for someone like you." She turned away from her and signed up to be a cheerleader, gave one more disapproving look then turned on her heel and walked away.

"Don't worry about Kikyo, she thinks her shit don't stink and everyone worships her." Another voice made Kagome jump yet again and turn to face the new person. She had dark brown hair that she kept up in a high ponytail and kind brown eyes and smile. She wore a short sleeve white shirt that had bedazzled angel wings on the back, blue jeans that hugged her hips and blue tennis shoes. "Hi, my name is Sango and I'm guessing you're the new student?" Sango asked while holding her hand out.

Kagome went to shake her hand, but pulled away when Sango gasped. "Um, sorry my hands are always cold. My name is Kagome and yes I'm the new student." She said looking back at the bulletin board. "There's lots going on at this school, there was never anything like this at my old school."

Sango smiled. "No worries." She said as she rubbed her hand together and looked at the bulletin board along with Kagome. "Yes, the school is big on the whole school spirit thing." She said as she signed up for volley-ball try-outs. "Are you going to sign up for anything?"

"Um, maybe not this year, but maybe next year when I get settled in and comfortable with everything." Kagome said.

Sango nodded and looked over her shoulder to look at her schedule. "You have civics first period! I have that too, come on and I'll introduce you to my friends-they have that class too.

Kagome smiled as she followed, who she thought would be a friend, to their first class.

Please review. Until next time, bye!
