End of Time

At the end of each time is a hero that emerges unnoticed.
With this hero comes tremendous responsibility.
The whole time he is here he doesn't know how he will save us.
Each time the hero attempts a rescue it ends in tears and sorrow.
Oh how the hero wishes life was easier, for he has made the world worse.
On long winter nights he is traveling across the land…what is it he's after?
The more he travels the more he believes someone has placed a curse.
Sometimes he can hear strange noises…and he sees children running around and laughter.
As the end of time draws near we find a new generation dawning and being created.
So many wishes and dreams to be granted…what is it that our hero wants?
A prophet has appeared and made the following announcement…
Hear ye, hear ye, it is time that you have saved us from misery.
The hero knew as well that he wasn't helping by standing around, so began the end.
For days no signs of evil or power have been shown, what does this mean for our hero?
Time is running out, and yet no one knows what awaits the world, how will this end?
Our hero has arrived at a local village, though he stands out everyone knows who he is.
The night sky brightens is the eyes of our hero.
Reflections of battles and fights run through his head.
Oh how will he survive, it is uncertain what fate or destiny holds him down.
He still continues on restless and hungry, though he shall be paid in the end.
The morning sun has just woken our hero; he has not slept before this in weeks.
We still wonder when he will arrive at the end of time.
As the music around him grows the tension in his body grows as well.
Though it isn't a bad noise, instead it is said to have powers to help him.
Onwards he marches through green grasslands and yellow swamps.
Nothing stands in his way, not even his shadow.
All he wants now is world peace, but how much does that cost him?
He is sick of hearing the same outcome for life, when will time end?
Finally the day has arrived unexpectedly for our friend.
Though something isn't right, where is he?
The echoes of the mountain can be heard throughout the land.
Ah yes there he is, praying to the gods to give him strength!
For the end of time is here…are you ready?
