15. Babysitter?!
Leaving children unsupervised was one of the first things to never do in the rules of childcare. But of course we've seen this happen so many times in the anime.
"sometimes, I think those two kiddos act more like parents to those other kids." Sonoko commented to Ran
"eh? Which two?"
"Ya know, Ai-chan and that glasses brat."
"hmm, I think their more like babysitters."
Now currently speaking, Conan and Haibara are considered mature enough to take care of themselves and the others, but adults still wouldn't leave kids alone just because they were more well behaved. So today, Takagi takes care of the Shounen-Tantei-Dan.

"EHH? Why does Takagi-keiji have to come along? This is strictly detective boys work!" said Mitsuhiko.
"We don't need adults to look after us!" Genta and Ayumi said together.
There had been a recent rise of kidnapping cases targeted towards elementary schoolers and parents have been advised to keep strict supervision over their children. But for Conan, with no actual parents to look after him, and Haibara, living with the professor, someone else has to step up, and who else other than the favourite Takagi-keiji!
Mitsuhiko's parents were currently at work which is about a two towns away from Beika. Genta's parents worked until late night, making it impossible to take care of him, And Ayumi's mother had fallen ill and is too sick to look after her, and her father has to work to support the family.
The five members of the club sighed, accepting their fate, at least it was Takagi-keiji and not Mouri Kogoro. They decided to continue on their mission with solving the case of the disappearance of street cat 'Koko'. Conan was smart enough not to let the kids anywhere near the kidnapping cases, but of course, fate had other plans.
"W-Wait! Don't run off without me!" Takagi yelped as they ran off toward the bakery, otherwise known as, "Koko's favourite place".
The bakery was not well known, but the shop looked rather new. There was a man and a woman working together there. Conan already had a bad feeling about that place just by entering.
"A-ah welcome to SachiMon's Bakery!" the woman by the enterance said, her nametag read "sachiko". The man behind the counter was called "Damon"
Conan looked around, the place gave off a bad vibe about it, even Haibara noticed. That's when he saw, a kamen yaiba hairclip on the floor. He recalled one of the reports held by Kogoro of a girl involved as a victim in the kidnapping case last scene wearing the same hairclip.
"this place is definetly suspicious...wait what's that..." He walked closed towards the staff cabinet, the two workers busy talking to the others. There was a skirt sticking out of the cabinet door. "Aight its definetly this place. Welp, I'm bouta end these people's whole lives."
and thus began what I like to call, ' The Conan Trauma'. long story short, these kidnappers took kids that suffered from child abuse that went overlooked and made them work for them through stockholm syndrome, and he made them break down and cry while confessing their crimes. End of the day, its a win win. Another Victory for the Detective Boys!

That day onwards, no one dared to babysit any of the detective boys.
