Chapter 10: We're in Serious Trouble.

A/N: Sorry that this chapter took a minute..my dog chewed my laptop charger and my laptop was dead so I had to wait until a new one came in the mail. Anyway, hope you enjoy this chapter!
"For that last time, we are not coming back!" Mr. Higurashi yelled, violently punching the hang up button on his cell phone. This was the tenth call, in that week, that he had received inviting him back into the very same coven that hurt his little girl the Great Elder had to be high if he thought that he would risk his daughters life by going back.
He sighed, ran a hand through his hair and looked at his family as they all looked at him from across the table where they were now eating dinner. This was the first call that his family had heard, he was trying to keep that calls to himself, but they called him while they were all sitting around the table talking about their day as Kagome ate her dinner and the rest of them had their own thermos of animal blood.
"They want us to come back?" Kaori asked almost in a pissed off voice. "Do they really think that we'd do something as stupid as that? Do they think that we'd put Kagome through all that again!?"
"Kaori, dear, please calm down." Mr. Higurashi tried to soothe his steaming wife.
"No!" Kaori yelled standing up so fast that her chair flew out from beneath her. "Who do they think they are to request us to come back to a coven that let our little girl almost die and then banish us!?"
Before Mr. Higurashi could comment on his wife's outburst his phone rang once again. Sighing, dragging his hand down his face and answering his phone with a tired "hello?"
"Listen close and listen well because I'm only saying this once, Mr. Higurashi." The icy voice of Naraku came through the phone. Up until now he had his secretary making the calls. A cold chill crept up his back as Naraku continued to speak. "If you choose not to come back to work under me once again, then I can not guarantee your or your families safety. Now, make the smart choice for you and your family and come back."
"No." Mr. Higurashi said defiantly.
"Then prepare to be hunted down and exterminated." Naraku said with an evil tilt to his voice.
"Ha! You'll never be able to find us." Mr. Higurashi said confidently.
"You just wait, Mr. Higurashi, I have my ways." Naraku hissed through his teeth then hung up.
"Shit!" Mr. Higurashi cursed then chucked his phone.
"What did he say?" Kaori asked, suddenly feeling very scared.
Mr. Higurashi looked at his wife not really knowing what to say or do. "We are being hunted." He watched as the faces of his children and wife contorted in fear. He felt absolutely helpless-"we're in serious trouble and need to figure out what to do before he gets here.
Kagome knew what she must do. She knew that she could ask her friends to help and-despite only knowing them for a short time-she knew that they would do anything they could to help her. Unfortunately that meant exposing her true self and that scared her, but she'd do anything for her family-she had to do this.
Kagome took her cell phone out-she had gotten everyone's number last night at the beach-and sent out a text to Sango asking her for her, Inuyasha and Miroku to come over to her house that it was an emergency.
About thirty minutes later found Kagome, Souta, their parent's, Inuyasha, Sango and Miroku all sitting in Kagome's living room.
"I asked you all here," Kagome began, "because I need your help. My family and I are all in grave danger and I need you all to fight along side us. I understand if you don't want to help and I would never hold that against you if you refuse, but please consider this as I tell you my story and why we need your help. Have you ever heard stories about vampires?" She asked and at the nods of her friends she asked. "Do you believe in vampires?"
Sango, Miroku, and Inuyasha gaped at her unsure on what to say or how to answer. "V-vampire? Like the blood sucking, steal your soul and turn you into a vampire as well? Those vampires?" Sango asked.
Kagome sucked in a deep breath-she had a feeling that they would be hard to convince. "Yes-although we don't really steal souls."
"We?" Inuyasha asked.
"Yes, we." Kagome answered. "My father, mother and brother are all vampires."
"Well, what are you? If your parents and brother are vampires wouldn't that make you one as well?" Inuyasha asked.
Kagome cleared her throat, this was that part she really wasn't ready for-but knew she had to do in order to gain their help.
Taking a deep breath Kagome replied. "When my mother got pregnant with me she was human-making me half human half vampire." She tried to calm her heart as she took her bracelet off, her heart was hammering in her chest-she was terrified showing her true form. She was scared that her only friends that she has ever had would be disgusted with what she really was and never want to be around her or talk to a filthy half blood ever again. Just the thought alone was enough to rip her heart in two and make breathing difficult.
Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango stared in shock and disbelief as they watched Kagome's transformation.
Kagome held her breath as she waited for the disgust, the insults and the violence to begin.
"K-Kagome? Y-you're..."
