Chapter 11: A Scary Encounter.
Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha
Kagome opened her eyes to the loud shrill sound of her alarm clock and sighed rolling over to stare dejectedly up at her ceiling. Her revealing herself to her friends might have been a dream, but the treat on their lives was very much their real reality right now and they desperately needed help. She tried to come up with a lie to tell her friends to get them to help, but knew that with Inuyasha's sensitive nose that she'd never get away with it. Plus, she didn't really want to lie to them, they were her friends and deserved to know the truth-the whole truth.
Didn't make it any less terrifying though. She sighed once again pushing herself into a sitting position in the middle of her bed-not yet ready to get ready for school. It was Monday morning, the weekend went by too fast and now she had to face her greatest fear and come clean to her friends and risk them walking away from her.
She had already talked to her parents and brother about coming clean with her friends and asking for their help-and though they were scared too-they really didn't see any other way around it and they needed all the help they could get. So, with a deep breath, Kagome pushed herself out of bed to put on a long sleeve black shirt and a pair of black sweat pants with her black converse. She then walked to the bathroom to brush her hair, once that was done she ran downstairs to drink her glass of animal blood-too nervous to eat the breakfast her mother cooked for her. She ran back upstairs to quickly brush her teeth before grabbing her bag and running outside to start walking to school before her parents and brother were even done hunting in the woods.
On her walk to school Kagome stared at the sidewalk mulling over her dream. If only her stupid alarm clock hadn't gone off right before Inuyasha had finished his sentence she would know what dream Inuyasha thought of her at least-even though that wouldn't help her any, but no she wasn't lucky enough to even know what dream people though of her being a half-vampire.
Grumbling about her bad luck and not knowing how dream people though of her, Kagome didn't notice the car pulling up beside her.
"Hey, Kagome!" A male voice called out scaring the crap out of Kagome and making her nearly jump right out of her skin.
Trying to make her heart return to a normal pace and get her breathing under control she looked to see who had called out to her. "Oh, hey, Koga. How are you this morning?"
"I'm doing well, thank you. Hey, would you like a ride?" Koga asked.
"Um, thanks but I'm okay with walking." Kagome said turning to start walking again.
"Hey, come on and get in the car and let me drive you!" Koga said with a demanding tilt to his voice.
"I said I can walk, Koga!" Kagome said not turning to look at Koga choosing to continue to walk without stopping.
"Damn it, Kagome! Stop being so stubborn and get the fuck in this car right now!" Koga yelled getting frustrated at being denied.
"I said no!" Kagome yelled right back getting frustrated, as well, at his constant persistence.
Koga growled, stopped the car and got out stalking over to where Kagome was still walking not realizing that he had stopped the car. He reached out and grabbed Kagome's wrist with a bruising force making her scream from surprise and pain, but there wasn't anyone around to here or help.
"Ow, Koga! Let go! You're hurting me!" Kagome cried out trying to pull her wrist free.
"Why the fuck do you have to be so fucking stubborn!?" Koga yelled out jerking Kagome closer to his body. "I already told you, you are my fucking woman! Now start acting like it and get your fucking ass in the damn car right now!" He shouted in her face.
"Koga, please, you're scaring me." Kagome whimpered, trying to remain calm.
"I don't like being denied anything, especially when the denial is coming from what's mine! Kagome, you're mine and you will do what I say!"
"What the fuck is going on here?" Growled a male voice.
Koga looked over his shoulder and rolled his eyes. "Get lost, mutt-face, this is between me and my woman. This doesn't concern you."
Inuyasha scoffed. "Like hell, flea-bag, let Kagome go! And she ain't your woman."
Koga growled. "I'll let go of her once she's in my fucking car!" He said and started to drag Kagome to his car.
"No, Koga! Please let go of me! You're hurting my wrist!" Kagome pleaded.
"No!"
Inuyasha growled and moved to jerk Kagome out of Koga's grip and punched Koga in his cheek. Not waiting around he pulled Kagome with him to finish the walk to school.
Walking in the school doors Kagome and Inuyasha saw that Sango and Miroku were already there sitting in their usual cafeteria table eating some breakfast. Going over to sit at the table they all exchanged greetings then Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's wrist and bringing to his face so he could expect it.
Noticing the very noticeable bruise on Kagome's wrist Sango gasped. "Kagome! What happened?"
"Um, Koga pulled up beside me on my walk here and tried to force me into his car. Inuyasha came and saved me, but Koga had a strong grip on my wrist and bruised it-I'm okay though." Kagome explained. "Hey, do you all want to come over for dinner tonight? It's my father's birthday and we are having a big dinner tonight to celebrate."
"Sure, sounds good to me." Sango said and Inuyasha and Miroku nodded their own agreements.
