Chapter 1: Celebrating Tae Seragaki's Birthday

Aoba and Sei were walking their way back to their grandma Tae's place, as today is their Grandma Tae's birthday today.

"Do you think she'll love her gift?" Aoba asked his twin brother.

"Yes! You know she loves anything that's handmade or just a birthday card." Sei said happily.

Aoba squealed, "I agree! And we're just having a small party, right?"

"Yes. Grandma can barely stand loud noises." Sei said.

Aoba nodded. He received a text from his friend, Chana.

"Hey, we're all ready. Koujaku is on his way here with Grandma Tae!" Chana said.

"Awesome! We're on our-" Aoba realized that he and Sei had arrived at their grandma's house.

Sei went up to the door and unlocked the door.

"You coming in~? Koujaku is on his way, right?" Sei said.

"Yeah. hehe sorry, I'm spacing out." Aoba said as he and his twin brother walked in.

"Aoba! Sei!" Clear said as he went up to the twins and gave them hugs.

"Hey Clear! Careful, we got some glass in these presents." Sei said.

"Oh I'm sorry! I'm just happy that you guys made it." Clear said.

"We are too, buddy." Aoba said as he smiled.

"Koujaku is on his way here now.~ Everybody hide." Chana said.

Everyone did so. Aoba put the presents with the other gifts as he hid also.

Koujaku and Tae walked up to the door as Tae opened the door.

"Thanks for walking me home, Koujaku. Now run along. I must have a nap." Tae said.

"Aww, but don't you want some cake and ice cream~?" Koujaku asked

"Later my dear. Now go on." Tae said.

Then by the time Tae walked in, everyone jumped up and shouted: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRANDMA TAE!"

Tae stepped back as she chuckled.

"Oh I see. You guys had to get rid of me so you can give me a small party?" Tae asked.

"Aww, Grandma. We love you and we wanna keep celebrating your birthday till the end." Aoba said.

"Till the end? Aoba!" Tae shouted.

Everyone laughed.

"Grandma Tae~! Lookie, we got you cake." Sei said as he set the cake down.

The cake was chocolate flavored that had pink and yellow frosting on it and five candles.

"Awww, you guys are too kind. Thank you." Tae said.

Wait till you open your presents, you will love them.~" Aoba said.

"Hmm? Alright, get the knife, everyone can have two slices if they please." Tae said.

Everyone cheered.

"Thanks for taking our Grandma out for a bit." Sei said to Koujaku.

"You're welcome. If you ever need anything, just hit me up. I can make time for anything.~ Especially you, Aoba.~" Koujaku said as he stroked Aoba's chin, giving him a grin.

Aoba blushed as he looked away, "Yeah yeah, thanks man. We'll let you know. Now go smoke outside. You know that's the rule."

Koujaku chuckled as he did so.

Clear handed Aoba a plate that had two slices of cake on it.

"Oh, thanks hon. You're so kind." Aoba said.

"Aoba, where did you and Sei go?" Clear asked.

"We went to a few stores to buy grandma something. We just hope she'll like them." Aoba said.

"Yay! I'm sure she will. Grandma's are kind and loving." Clear said.

"Yes, I agree." Sei said as he smiled.

Clear happily smiled back.

When the party ended, everyone gave Grandma Tae a hug as they walked out.

"Happy birthday, Tae!" Clear said as he gave her a hug.

"Thank you, Clear." Tae said.

"Happy birthday, and thanks for the cake." Mink said as he gave Tae a hug.

"Thank you, Mink and you're welcome." Tae said.

"Bye bye! And happy birthday." Chana said.

"Yeah, happy birthday, grandma Tae." Rai said.

"Thank you two. Make sure Aoba feeds you two." Tae said.

Both Rai and Chana giggled.

"Don't worry, we'll get on his ass if he doesn't." Rai said as he winked at Tae.

Tae chuckled.

"Happy birthday, Tae. Call me if you need anything." Noiz said.

"Why thank you dear, I'll let you know." Tae repiled.

Everyone left, when Tae turned around she sighed at her grandsons.

"You two should be heading back home now. I'll be fine." Tae said.

"But we want you to open up your presents real fast, then we'll leave." Aoba said as he begged.

"Alright fine, I'm only going to open up two. From you knuckleheads. Hand em over." Tae said.

Aoba and Sei smiled happily as they grabbed their gifts for her.

"These are from us. We hope you like them." Sei said.

Tae smiled as she opened the gift from Sei.

It was a handmade pink rose glass.

"Oh Sei, it's beautiful. I love it, deary. Thank you." Sei said as she gave her grandson a hug.

Sei sniffled as he hugged her back.

"Here, grandma. It's from me. And I hope you like it." Aoba said.

"If it's something weird, I'm banning you from shopping for me again." Tae said.

Aoba and Sei laughed.

When Tae opened the gift, it was a small silver locket with two keys with it. And a handmade glass pink butterfly.

"Oh Aoba, they're beautiful." Tae said.

"Open the locket, Grandma. You'll be shocked to see it is." Aoba said.

Tae did so, she gasped as she saw her daughter, Haruka inside the locket.

"Oh...Aoba, a picture of yours and Sei's mother." Tae said as she cried.

"Yeah…...I'm sorry to upset you." Aoba said.

"You didn't. It's just that, I'm having a hard time looking at pictures of your parents. This will be the first step." Tae said.

The twins both nodded as they hugged their grandma.

"But thank you. I will wear this forever, in order to keep her memory alive." Tae said.

"We'll get one too and have our pictures of our parents inside the lockets also." Sei said.

"I love that idea, Sei. Your ideas are so bright." Aoba said.

Sei and Tae both laughed.

"Aww, thank you Aoba. Yeah we'll buy one and then we'll all be connected." Sei said.

"Well thank you all for the presents. I love them deeply, especially this locket. Where'd you get it?" Tae asked.

"Online. It was on sale so I had to get it." Aoba said.

"Good call. Take some cake home you two, grandma needs some sleep now." Tae said.

"Alright alright, Grandma. We'll be on our way." Aoba said as he stood up and stretched.

Sei grabbed some foil and a plate as he cut up five slices of cake and wrapped them up.

"Thank you Grandma, we'll call you once we get home." Sei said as he hugged her.

"Thank you deary. You two get home safe, alright?" Tae said.

"Yep! No worries, grandma. Thank you and happy birthday. We love you." Aoba said as waved to his grandma.

Tae waved back as she closed the door.

"Thank you. I love you too." Tae said as she held onto her locket and gave it a kiss and she slowly went upstairs to head to bed.
