Chapter 14: Kagome's Life Story.

Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha

An hour later found Inuyasha's parents; Iziyoi and Taisho, his brother; Sesshomaru, Rin, Sango, Miroku, Inuyasha and Taisho had called some of his good friends because his son had said that it was urgent and to call as many people that were willing to help.

All in all there were about sixty people standing or sitting in the Higurashi living room waiting to hear the story of Kagome Higurashi.

Kagome felt her heart pound in her chest as she looked at all the people looking at her patiently waiting for her to begin telling her story and what she needed them to do. With shaky hands and a racing heart she closed her eyes and took a deep breath then began her sad tale.

"When I was born it wasn't exactly a celebration and I probably would've been killed if it wasn't for this bracelet that my father had made for me and for them if the need to flee our home should arise. At first, when we still lived in the coven, it hid my human side-making me look like a full vampire. It didn't work, though, everyone there whether they were children or adults made fun of me. People with young kids would keep their children away from me and if we were walking toward each other on a sidewalk or something they would cross the road so they could stay well and far away from me.

"When I turned five we had to go to the Great Elder and have a meeting of if I would be allowed to go to school or not. He let me go to public school, but now I have to wonder if he'd known all along that I would be ridiculed everyday. He was suppose to keep me being a half-vampire a secret from everyone, but he didn't and I was severely teased by both the students and the teachers. As the years went on the teasing went to more physical approach and on the last day of seventh grade I was jumped by almost every student in that school-even some teachers jumped in as well.

"I have super quick recovery rates, thanks to my vampire blood, but this attack on me got me admitted into the hospital fighting for my life-my vampire blood wasn't working fast enough to quickly heal me properly. The doctor that was issued to me said that he didn't want to waste his time in trying to save a worthless half-blood and turned out and left. My father got real angry at that moment and left to go yell at the doctor-who saw to my immediate care-then left the hospital to go demand answers from Naraku. That was when Naraku banished us and now we live here, still hiding under everyone's radar and trying to blend in as much as possible. This bracelet now hides all my vampire traits making me look like a ordinary human.

"Now, however, I have to expose what we really are because we are in desperate need of your help. You see, my father received a call from our Great Elder at the beginning of this week and was told to come back, but he refused. As call after call came in the go more and more threatening, today they came and threatened to kill all of us if my father-and only my father-came back with them. So, in order to keep us safe, he agreed to leave with them.

"I've never asked anyone for anything. I've never asked anyone for help, but tonight I'm here begging for your help. Begging to have my father here, home, where he belongs.

"So, I end my speech about my life and how I grew up and I have two questions to ask you. Do you believe in vampires? And will you, please help us?" Kagome finished and looked at the floor her heart still beating a tattoo against her chest.

The room was quiet for several seconds, then Taisho stood up and walked to stand where Kagome stood. Kagome gasped when she felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up at the man that was Inuyasha's father.

"I can't talk for everyone, but as far as I'm concerned-I believe in your story and I will help you get your father back.

Kagome felt tears gather up in her eyes and gave the man a watery smile. "Really? You believe me?" She looked around the room as everyone nodded their agreement and offering their help as well. Full of gratitude, not really believing that they were all so willing to help, but not wanting to question it either-she smiled and fingered the beads of the bracelet on her wrist.

A few people left, muttering under their breaths that they wasn't about to risk their lives for someone that they didn't even know or that they didn't believe in make-believe or fairy tales. Kagome didn't blame them, she knew that what she was asking was a lot and could cause them their lives. She even didn't blame them for not believing that they were really vampires.

There was about sixty but with the people that just left there were about fifty-maybe a little less than that.

"Thank you everyone! There is just one more thing that I have to do." Kagome said as she slipped her thumb under the bracelet to take it off. She felt the invisible sheet pull off of her and as her vampire traits return for the world to see. She heard everyone gasp and held her breath as she waited for them to say something.

Inuyasha stepped closer to her. "Kagome you're..."
