Chapter 15: Training

Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha

As Kagome removed her bracelet she gasped as she felt the invisible sheet be ripped off of her. She heard everyone around her gasp as well as they took in her true form.

Inuyasha felt his jaw go slack as he saw red and blue fight and mix within Kagome's eyes making a very becoming chocolate color that made up her eyes. He witnessed as her hair grew from just below her shoulders to her waist and grow healthier and shiner-not that it wasn't healthy in her human form, just not as shiny. He watched as her skin grew a touch paler and fairer and just had a glow to it. He watched as she opened her mouth to show as her canine teeth grow into vampire fangs and watched as her nails grew into sharp talons. All in all he found her very beautiful-not that he didn't find her beautiful before, but just knowing that this was her true form made her all the more beautiful to him.

"Kagome, you're...you're absolutely beautiful." Inuyasha said.

Kagome gasped in shock and then blushed, giving a bashful smile. "Oh, t-thank you." She looked down at the ground trying to get her scattered thoughts back on track. "Um, oh yeah-training!"

Everyone in the room looked at each other in confusion. "Training?" Taisho asked for everyone else.

Kagome nodded. "Yes, training, if you go up against a blood thirsty vampire without knowing exactly what to do-then you're surely to die. First, you have to be careful of their claws-you see vampire claws has venom in them and if you are to get scratched by them you're skin will slowly melt until you are nothing. It's very painful-you'll want to avoid that happening. We do know how to hold back our venom so when we are training we will be using our claws, but don't worry-we won't release our venom.

"Our fangs," Kagome continued. "Has a different type of venom, it'll completely numb you so you cannot fight to escape. You'll want to avoid this from happening as well, you'll be completely aware of what's happening, it very traumatic and the result is either your death or you turning into one of us. You must be swift and silent if you want any chance of walking away from this.

"Now, killing a vampire is way different than what you read in stories or watch in movies. There's more to it than stabbing vampires in the heart with a wooden stake, yes that is the first step, but then you have to sever their heads and burn their bodies or they'll piece back together and come back to life.

"Contrary to what you have read or watched in movies-it is untrue that vampires can turn into bats, so you don't have to worry about that. However, some-not all-but some vampires can fly, so you'll have to be focused on your surrounding at all times. Vampires are sneaky creatures that can run super fast that it seems like their teleporting-you'll have to be on guard with everything and everyone around you. We are also very strong-you must not let them get their arms around you. I'm not sure if they'll go in for the kill or make their army bigger, but whatever the case may be if they get their arms around you all your bone will break and you'll die a very painful death. Also, unlike the stories and movies, vampires don't have special powers-aside from running really fast some being able to fly and being freakishly strong-so no worries there.

"So any questions?" Kagome finished off looking around the room. She stood their watching as everyone in the room shook their heads and she smiled. "Great! let's get in the back yard and start the physical part of the training." At this point, Kagome saw most of their faces turn whiter than a ghost and started to sweat. "Don't worry, training with us won't be too hard, but we just want to make sure you all know what's going to come at you once we enter the vampire coven. I understand, after hearing all of that, if some more people would like to walk out." Kagome waited and saw about five more people walk out the front door. She nodded in understanding, but got a little more nervous as she looked out at the forty-five, more or less, people in her living room.

She looked around and saw Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango still standing there-as well as Inuyasha's parents and brother and some of Taisho's most valued friends and some of his family.

"Look, I know that I'm asking for a lot, and most of you have no idea of who I even am. However, I want to thank you for doing this for us and for helping get my father back to where he belongs."

Kagome looked around the room and prayed that to ones that stayed would be enough to get her father back home and to destroy the ones that took him from her and her mother and brother. They would pay for putting them through everything that they have done to them. And they would fear the half blooded vampire-of that she would be sure of it.
