(Instrumental)
The scene shows a sequence of freeze frame images of a young Ryuji with a golden background, the young Frank having a proud smile on his face. The first showed him using three magic circle to shoot out fire, water, and lightning respectively; the second showed him, in a charge with a tiger, a mouse, a horse, a rabbit, a snake, and a hawk; the last showed him on a stage, playing a guitar while strings of light accompanied by music notes surround him. It then cuts to a teenage Ryuji as he opens the door of an old house before going through, suddenly appearing in the Boiling Isles and looking at the rising sun with a confident smile.
As the sun rises,
And the valley wind blows,
We see Bonesborough as the townspeople go about their days casually with a demon greeting his neighbors and a warlock comparing fruit at a fruit stand.
One young man steps out,
On the path that he chose.
We then see Ryuji look around until he finds the Owl House along with Hooty, Juniper, and King watching Eda teaching Luz magic.
Pure of heart,
Strong as steel,
We then see Ryuji as he fights against Emperor Belos, Ryuji's sword Saisho clashing with Belos' staff, the two caught in a great battle.
He becomes a hero,
A legend made real.
After being pushed back, Ryuji quickly dodges as Belos summons and sends a monstrous worm-like demon at him.
Though cutting it close,
As a hard-working rebel,
We then see Ryuji as he fights against multiple Coven guards as they try to catch him, Ryuji punching and kicking at them.
Together with his friends,
He takes it to the next level.
We then see him standing together with Eda, Luz, Juniper, and King as he gains a confident smile.

A new tale,
Full of adventure.
After jumping down from a high place into a heroic landing, Ryuji stands up with his sword over on shoulder before Luz grabs in a hug and spins before letting go and jumping to the side as it become a freeze-frame with her jumping for joy while an image of her holding a small sphere of light in her hands in the back ground. We then see Juniper as she casually flicks her hair back, an image of her holding dark red flames in both her hands while sporting a devilish grin.
Dra-a-a…gon Ki-i-id!
A brand new hero,
A great avenger.
We then see Eda as she spins staff a bit before she stops as King pops his head out of her hair, the background cut into two images with left being Eda struggling with her curse as a monstrous shadow stands behind her and King standing amongst a pile of stuffed toy animals as points forward like the leader of a great army while holding a pink toy rabbit.
Dra-a-a…gon Ki-i-id!
With powers of the dragon,
Venturing new lands,
We then see Willow and Gus as Willow happily forming a heart with her hands and Gus waving with the background being split as the left side showed Willow with glow green eyes and vines covered in thorns and the right showing Gus casting illusions. Then we see Amity and Xander giving emotionless expressions as they merely look away, the background showing an image of Amity with serious look as she summoned abominations on the left side and Xander with the same look as he flies downward with his Dusk Wings on his back and his lance Sieghild in his hand.
Dra-a-a…gon Ki-i-id!
The fate of the world,
Rests in his hands.
We then see Ryuji as he looks up to see Belos glaring down at him with a couple of coven soldiers and a masked Lilith standing with him on top of a tower.
With villains around him,
He rises up against them!
With a wave of his staff, he sends Ryuji flying backwards where a gold portal appears and he ends up landing beside Eda who then steps up in front of him.
And show them,
He's the Dragon Kid.
Spinning her staff, Eda creates a powerful blast that blows the guards away before Lilith leaps in, the two sisters clashing and making magic explode all around them. From the smoke, Ryuji, Juniper, Luz, Amity, Willow and Gus ran towards the top as more guards appear. Gus and Xander take the first wave of guards on with Gus creating illusions of himself and Xander using magic blast from Sieghild while Luz, Amity, Willow, Juniper, and Ryuji.
Going on the attack,
His friends watching his back!
Summoning an ice glyph, Luz makes a bridge of ice which Amity's abomination uses to charge forward, ramming the other guards away before Willow made a road of vines for Ryuji and Juniper to run across. Running to the top, Juniper then fights the wall of guards protecting Belos, allowing Ryuji to sneak through and attack Belos, Ryuji's sword clashing with Belos' staff before they both push themselves back.
He'll never give up,
'Cause he's the Dragon Ki-i-i-i-id!
With the blade of Ryuji's sword glowing in a rainbow light and Belos' staff sparking with red energy, the two clash once more with Ryuji giving a slash and Belos swinging his staff, their weapons clashing creating a bright light.
Cut to a freeze-frame images of Ryuji in different battles. The first showed him battling Warden Wrath as he roared at him, the second showed Xander flying down at him with his lance.
('Cause he's the Dragon Ki-i-i-i-id!)
The last one showed him fighting Belos as he stood there in front of him and his friends like he was a tower giant.
Dra-a-a…gon Ki-i-id!
Standing at the edge of a cliff, Ryuji looked toward the rising sun with a smile, joined by Luz, Juniper, Eda, and King. Cut to show Luz and Juniper to Ryuji's left as they shared the same smile he had.

Cut to show Eda to Ryuji's right with King on her shoulder as she had the same smile.
Dra-a-a…gon Ki-i-id!
He's the Dragon Ki-i-i-i-id!
With a proud smile, Ryuji raises his sword, allowing the sun's glint to reflect of the tip of the blade.
Author's Note: Hey, guys! I hope you all liked the opening. This was inspired by the opening of the show Monkie Kid. I also intended for the music of said opening to be the music for the one I made for the story, but haven't been able to find an instrumental of it. And you'll see the ending sequence for it in due time. Things aren't over yet for there is still one last thing that needs to be taken care of before we can start with the first chapter.
