Kenshin awoke the next morning and stretched out the cramp in his leg, sighing happily once he had feeling in his limb again. He opened his door and stepped outside, letting out a yelp when he ran into Rika, "Oh Miss Rika, you startled me."
She smiled, "I'm sorry sir, I was just coming in to tidy up a bit."
"Alright, by the way have you seen Naoto?"
"Yes sir he's in the main hall."
"Thank you, Miss Rika."
"You're welcome, sir."
Kenshin smiled and caught her sleeve as she moved to enter his room, "My name is Kenshin not sir."
Rika smiled and bowed slightly before headed into his room to do her chores. Kenshin headed downstairs and found Naoto talking with one of the guards, smiling when he looked over at him, "Good morning, Naoto."
"Good morning Kiyoshi, did you sleep well?"
"Yes."
"Good, Lord Shiro and Lady Suki are waiting for you, they wish to speak with you about something."
Kenshin followed Naoto down the hall to the throne room and they both bowed to Shiro and Suki as they came up to them, "How did you sleep Kiyoshi?" Shiro asked with a grin
"Fine sir, thank you."
"Good, you'll need to be rested for your surprise later."
"A surprise? Thank you but…"
Suki saw the hesitation in her son's eyes and gently set a hand on his shoulder, "What's the matter, Kiyoshi?"
"Well… I don't want to seem rude that I don't, but… I'd like to go back to the dojo that I would."
"What? You can't leave now Kiyoshi."
"Why can't I, Lord Shiro?"
"Because, you're going to meeting your fiancé today and I'd hate for her to come all this way for nothing."
"WHAT!" Naoto and Kenshin both asked in shock
