Shadow, Peach, Koopski and Harold were locked in the final showdown with Bowser and Bowser Jr. Bowser had opened The Fire Down Under and was attempting to summon Saphanolis:
"Oh, Lord of Darkness, Bringer of the Four, I venerate and beseech thee…"
Shadow raised his hand. "CHAOS…"
Unfortunately, Bowser shot a paralyzing spell at him, Peach, Koopski and Harold, and continued reading…
"In the name of the…"
"Hold it, Bowser!" said Sonic. "Kids, don't attempt to summon mystical creatures usin' ancient books of magic that ya found! You don't know what kind of forces you're dealin' with, and ya might blow up the whole world! Play it safe; stick to readin' Harry Potter!"
