Chapter 2
Sweet Indulgence
Even after being unconscious for days, Arthur fell asleep soundly with Cas by his side. Being Sunday, Arthur set no alarm. But both him and Cas were pulled from sleep by the smell of bacon. Specifically, raw bacon. Their eyes fluttered open and they looked at one another. Cas smiled first, then Arthur.
"Mom must be making breakfast. Funny how I don't hear the pan sizzling yet. Just the smell of raw bacon."
Cas puts her hand on Arthur's cheek.
"Yeah, you'll have to get used to that too. Your senses will seem more…. Animalistic."
Arthur pins Cas down and rolls on top of her. His eyes turn silver/blue, and fangs grow out.
"You don't say."
Cas grins from ear to ear.
"I told you, babe. Rough don't scare me."
Arthur grins back.
"Good."
Arthur peppers Cas with kisses, on her forehead at first, then more passionately at her lips, their tongues colliding. Then down her jaw and neck. He pauses to rake his fangs lightly against her neck just as she had done to him when he was a human.
"O…Oh my god, Arthur!" Cas pants with delight.
Arthur pulls away just long enough to grin, then his lips once again crash to Cas' in a passionate kiss. When Cas speaks, she is almost out of breath.
"Hey, hold this thought. I love where it's going, but I have a place we can go for ultimate privacy. Only You and me."
Arthur smirks.
"Promise?"
Cas lifts herself up to meet Arthur's neck with a sharp exhale.
"Oh yeah. I definitely promise. I can't wait to be alone with you. I love you, Arthur Morgan."
Arthur leans down and kisses Cas gingerly.
"I love you too, Cas Harlow."
Arthur then rolls out of bed and offers a hand to his girlfriend.
"Why don't we head down and get some breakfast. See what Mom is up to today, and then we can go on our "date".
Cas takes Arthur's hand and rises out of bed, then straightens her top and puts her jacket on.
"Sounds like a plan to me, babe."
As they make their way down the stairs, the sounds of breakfast cooking graced them. Cas taps Arthurs shoulder.
"Notice how you're not super hungry for what you're about to eat?"
Arthur does notice a decreased desire to eat the cooked food, but he is still quite hungry.
"Yeah, I do, but I'm still hungry."
"Now pay attention to how you feel after eating." Cas follows up.
When Arthur and Cas walk into the kitchen, Terri smiles.
"Good morning, you two. I hope you slept well. "
Cas and Arthur look at each other. Arthur speaks up and tries to change the subject.
"Yeah, we did. How about you, Mom? Nervous about work?"
Terri motions to the table.
"A little, but don't worry about me. Sit down at the table, breakfast is almost done, then I have to head out. What's your plans for the day?"
The couple sits at the table. Terri places plates on the table in front of both of them.
"Thanks for making me breakfast, Mrs. Morgan. I wasn't expecting it." Cas says appreciatively.
"Well, I saw your car parked outside yet this morning, so I wasn't going to let you go without a good breakfast."
Arthur gives an answer to Terri's question.
"We are going on a little trip. We are going to go see the beaches and fall colors before it's too cold and they're all gone for the year."
Cas catches on to Arthur's story. Terri smiles at the thought.
"You guys have the perfect day for it, it's the warmest yet it's been in the last few days, and it's going to be sunny."
Cas smiles at Terri.
"Yeah, no doubt. It's an awesome time of year for sure."
Terri pats Cas on the shoulder, and then moves to squeeze Arthur, not seeing the startled look on Cas' face at loving act. Arthur hugs his mom from his chair, grinning at Cas. He sends a wink her way, causing her to blush a little. Terri heads for the door, grabbing her briefcase.
"Well, have a good day, you two. And, Arthur? Can we talk when I get home? So don't stay out too late?"
Arthur's face goes pale. Here it comes. Cas can't stay over anymore. And he didn't even get intimate with her.
"Sure, Mom. Is everything alright? Anything I need to worry about?"
Cas senses Arthur's discomfort.
"I'll make sure were back plenty early and I can head out too. I don't wanna wear out my welcome."
Terri waves dismissively.
"Nothing major, dear. And it's no big deal, Cas. You're always welcome here, anytime."
Terri heads out the door, but it does nothing to alleviate Arthur's concern.
"I hope it's not about us."
Cas takes Arthur's hand in hers.
"Nah. She said I am welcome here. And I could tell she means it. Don't worry about it."
They finished breakfast in silence, Arthur deep in thought.
"Yeah, you're right. I am stuffed, but I'm not full like I thought I'd be."
Cas shrugs.
"Told ya. You gotta let me know if your hunger gets really bad, though. You're not due to feed for another 2 weeks, but being freshly turned; you could need a buffer to hold you over til the schedule sets in. Just promise me you won't go Adalhard on me, please?"
Arthur grins and grabs the plates and puts them in the sink.
"I promise I won't over feeding, but over other things, I make no promises."
"You're impossible."
Cas shoves Arthur playfully as they walk out the door and towards her car.
It was quite obvious Cas was different from all the other students at school, and her car was no exception. She walked up to the passenger side of the 1950 Packard Super DeLuxe Eight convertible, and unlocked the door for Arthur. Apart from the chrome, the car was gloss jet black with a cream colored top. Inside, the interior was finished in deep red leather with carpet a deeper shade of red, almost purple. Arthur had never seen Cas' car before. The only way he knew she even had a car was her keys, which he threw into the woods on that day after school weeks ago.
"When I threw your keys that day, I never knew they belonged to such a beautiful automobile. Only thing more beautiful is you, babe."
Cas grins as she slides behind the big steering wheel.
"Yeah, nice save there, Arthur. But at least you're not wrong."
The car rumbles to life as Cas turns the ignition and she presses the clutch and pulls the column shifter back and down into first gear. The big eight cylinder engine assures the car pulls out onto the street with no effort. Cas runs through the gears in fluid motion.
"You ever drive a standard transmission, Arthur?"
"My uncle has a Corolla with a manual that I took my driver's test in. But that shifter looks weird to me."
Cas slows the car and pulls over to the side of the road on the outskirts of town.
"It's actually super easy. It only has three gears forward and reverse."
Cas begins to show Arthur the pattern.
"I'm sure the Corolla has a floor shifter. But a column shift, or "3 on the tree" is different. The center is neutral, just like a floor shifter. Back and up is reverse, back and down is first, then to shift to second, you pull up and push it forward and up. Third is forward and down. You wanna give it a try?"
Arthur is shocked.
"You are going to let me drive your car?"
"I don't see why not. It's built of cast iron, so you really can't break it. Worst you'll do is stall it out. Then I can laugh at you. But I get it if you're intimidated. Your call."
Arthur grimaces at the challenge, resolve in his tone.
"You're on, Harlow. Let me at it. Get in the back, Miss Daisy"
Cas opens the door and slides out of the driver's seat. She pulls the seat back forward and climbs in the back seat with a grin ear to ear. Arthur slides across the massive bench seat and assumes command of the Packard. He pushes in the clutch pedal with a small grunt, finding it quite stiff. The same is true of the brake pedal. Cas let out a chuckle.
"This isn't your uncles Corolla. That has power brakes and a hydraulic clutch. This is all man power."
Arthur looks in the rear view mirror, imitating a chauffeur.
"So where to, Ms. Daisy?"
Cas grins and plays along.
"Take me 'round the block, 'James' Let's see how you do with the car. If you do well, you're hired."
Arthur puts the car in first gear and slowly lets out the clutch. He is surprised that the car doesn't stall as he hadn't put any pressure on the gas pedal. When he accelerates, he makes the shift to second a little slow, but not slow enough to stall out. Third was a very smooth shift, and soon they were cruising down the winding road just outside the town.
"Damn, Arthur, your shifts were on point! You sure you haven't done this before?!"
Arthur smiles.
"Yeah, this is my first time. So when do you want to take over again? Cuz I don't know where we are going."
Cas eyes Arthur in the rearview.
"Actually, you can keep driving if you want, you're doing great. And its not much further anyway. Take a left on highway 54. Should be just around this curve."
Arthur follows Cas's directions and keeps her surprised with more excellent shifts.
"Ok, now right on Meadowlark Road."
Arthur makes the turn, and notices the "Dead End" sign. He smirks.
"A few weeks ago I'd think you're taking me out in the brush to kill me."
Cas reaches forward and mock chokes Arthur, wrapping her hands lightly around his neck.
"If you would've chosen Adalhard over me, I'd be inclined to attempt it."
Arthur responds by swerving the Packard slowly side to side while pretending to choke. He then crams on the clutch and brake pedals, sending Cas forward into the seat back and the car screeching to a halt. Cas sits back in the seat and catches her lost breath.
"Ok, note to self. Don't screw with Arthur while he's behind the wheel."
Arthur smirks back through the rearview.
"To be fair, I was still in control. I was just messing with you. You know. For messing with me. And FYI, I wouldn't choose Gabriella over you. She's not my type."
Cas grins back.
"True. Well played. Head to the end of the road. Last driveway."
Arthur starts back down the road. He takes the last driveway into a quaint little yard with an equally quaint log cabin. A little red shed sits just to the side of the cabin. Arthur looks it over with appreciation while parking the car and stepping out from the driver's seat.
"Wow. This is a damn nice place. You take all your victims here?"
Cas climbs out of the back seat and stands next to Arthur.
"Ha ha. Welcome to my home, funny man."
Arthur gets wild eyed as Cas grabs her keys from the car and starts towards the cabin.
"You're serious? Wow, Cas. This place is amazing!"
"It's not a mansion like the Adalhards, but it's a nice home."
Cas unlocks the door to her cabin and holds the door with a flourish.
"Wait. So Gabriella lives in a mansion?"
"Well it's not a castle or anything, but her grandma did leave her a 4 bedroom 2 bath house. And she lives in it all alone. So it's gotta seem like a mansion. And I'm sure it's a bitch to keep clean."
Arthur steps in and takes in the cabin. It's all an open floor plan apart from the bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen is off to the left. The living room makes up the center, with a bay window and sliding door opening onto a good size deck facing the lake behind the cabin. Then off to the right is the bedroom, and the bathroom only accessible from the bedroom.
"I can tell this place was built with a solo life in mind."
"I built it not thinking I'd ever meet anyone. Until I met you, I didn't ever do much more than vampire things. Coven things. I know it sounds boring. Because it was in comparison to you. But I hope you can live with my tiny space here."
Arthur steps up to Cas and puts his hand on her shoulder and gives it a squeeze.
"Cas… Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. Here. In this beautiful cabin."
Cas eyes go wide before turning silver, and her wide smile baring fangs. She leans in to Arthur's ear.
"How about we pick up where we left off?"
Arthur captures Cas in an embrace.
"I think we'd both like that very much."
Cas grins mischievously. Still next to Arthur's ear her voice barely a whisper.
"I guess we should do something about it, then huh?"
Arthur's eyes turn immediately, his fangs visible from his own grin. He grabs Cas in his arms and hoists her over his shoulder. In a blur, he's got her in the bedroom with the door closed. Then he tumbles Cas on to the bed, and pounces on top of her with a growl. Cas' eyes go wide and she gasps at Arthur's ferociousness, although her mischievous grin remains.
"Now were talkin, babe…"
Cas starts, but is quickly cut off by rough but passionate kisses. One after another. When they pause to gasp for air, Arthur takes no time in removing Cas' jacket and top. Cas grasps at Arthurs sweater and shirt, removing them both at once. With their tops tossed aside, Arthur continues his kisses down Cas' jaw, to her neck, then to her bare chest. With each kiss, he ever so slightly rakes his fangs on her skin, making her shudder in response.
"Oooooh…..yeah…."
Cas runs her hands all over Arthurs' torso, drinking in his passion. Arthur moves to each breast, caressing them, and sucking each nipple ever so slightly. Cas' breath hitches in her throat.
"Oh my God, YES ARTHUR!"
Cas cries out as Arthur continues his kisses down her chest to her stomach. When he nears her waist, he unbuckles her belt and undoes the button of her pants quite slowly, while holding Cas' gaze. The need is in her eyes, but it's quickly overcome by genuine shock as Arthur brings her black denim and panties to her ankles with a flash of vampire movement.
"God damn, you're a goddess, Cas!"
Arthur growls before making his way to her core, lapping lightly, making her shudder.
"Oh God, YES! Don't stop, Babe!"
As Arthur continues his deft work on Cas' center, she fiendishly runs her hands through his hair. Arthur flicks Cas' button once, twice, three times, each met with an impish little whine from Cas. Arthur feels her heat as he continues lapping lovingly at her core. He picks up the pace a bit and plays with her button more and more, Cas' heat growing by the second.
"HOLY SH….." Cas starts as she crashes over the edge of her first orgasm. Arthur's lapping only goes unnoticed for mere moments, before it begins to build once more. Cas grabs Arthur by the hair and pulls him up in an instant. Arthur is caught by surprise, though he still can't lose the smirk on his face.
"Need a break, love?"
Cas smirks and growls.
"No… MY turn!"
Cas then uses her own super speed to pull Arthur up and onto the bed. She then climbs between his legs and undoes his jeans. With the same savage motions used on her, Cas strips Arthur down. She works her kisses in reverse, however, kissing up his leg, and thigh, stopping at his hard length. She shoots him a smirk before taking it entirely in her mouth, and ever so slowly pulls up the shaft swirling her tongue around it as she does.
"HOLY HELL, YES! CAS YOU VIXEN!"
Arthur shouts as Cas continues her way up his torso and chest. She plants one, long passionate kiss on his lips. When she breaks away, she straddles Arthur and lowers herself down onto his throbbing member.
"You just can't NOT be in control, can you?" Arthur teases.
Cas smirks as she begins lightly thrusting.
"Hey when you're good, you're good. And when you know what you want, you go for it!"
Cas picks up the pace with Arthur matching her movements. Arthur reaches up and massages Cas' breasts with his palms while teasing the nipples with his thumbs and index fingers. Cas flings her head back and groans in pure pleasure. She leans down, and grabs the sheets at Arthur's side and holds on as she ups her pace once again. Arthur is in udder shock at the sheer speed of their movements. He feels his grand finale coming on, but he represses it slightly as he wants to time it with Cas' orgasm. He doesn't have to wait long, though as the furious pace of their movements, the panting, growling and moaning quickly bring both of them to a climax. Cas shudders uncontrollably as she enters her peak.
"OH MY GOD! YAAAS!"
Cas growls. Arthur groans in return as he lets free his own orgasm. At this, Cas stops all movement and comes to rest on Arthur's member, burying it deep inside her. She stares down at her lover watching his eyes shift back and forth from blue to silver. Arthur stares back unable to do more than pant for some time.
As they both come down off of cloud nine, they roll apart, still panting for air. Cas speaks first.
"That was god damned AMAZING!"
"I second that. You can take control anytime. Holy hell!"
Cas smirks and turns to face Arthur.
"Sorry. I just got caught up in the moment. Next time is yours."
"Hey, no complaints here…"
Arthur starts with a smirk as the both go quiet at the unmistakable sound of someone knocking at the door. Cas scrunches her face in anger.
"Seriously? Who could need something right now? Seriously shitty timing!"
Arthur rises and grabs his clothes, smirk still on his face.
"Maybe we bothered the neighbors"
"No, there isn't a neighbor for at least ten acres in either direction."
Cas and Arthur get dressed and walk out into the center of the cabin. Arthur sits at one of the chairs at the table, while Cas answers the door, still glowering.
As Cas opens the door, Gabriella looks up from the ground, startled.
"Seriously? What do YOU want, Adalhard?!"
"Look I'm sorry, but an emergency meeting has been called at the Nexus, and I can't find Arthur anywhere…"
Gabriella trails off as Arthur stands and joins Cas at the door. Gabriella looks sheepishly at the ground. Cas continues her growly attitude.
"Well, he's right here, Golden Girl. And what is so damned pressing that we are bothered during our personal time together?"
Gabriella looks back from her shoes, and Arthur can sense the unrest in her posture. Arthur becomes serious.
"What is it, Gabriella?"
"Lewyn and Astoria have surviving vampires from Flagstone Cove at the Nexus, and we need to find out what information they have and if and how we can help them."
Cas and Arthur share a surprised look.
" I'll grab your keys, hun."
"Don't bother. We can't take a car to the Nexus any way. And we're quicker on foot."
Cas and Arthur step out shutting the cabin door.
"Lead the way, Adalhard."
Cas and Arthur trail Gabriella in their sprint for the Nexus…
