As Goku and Krillin search for a young woman to introduce to Master Roshi, I begin telling him of my childhood, how my father found me, how I trained with the Saibamen, and my time at the various dojo's at West City.

"You seem to have an early life similar to Goku's. My old student Gohan took him in just as your dad took you in." the old master noted.

"Yeah... I got into fights with some kids. Dad got worried about me picking a fight that could get me deriously hurt. So he enrolled me into dojos after dojos. I beat almost everyone I fought. But those Saibamen were my biggest challenge. Everytime we fight, they always beat me. I received several bruises from them. Dad had first-aid kits on standby. And for some odd reason, when I fight them again I seem to do better at fighting them. It can't just be me learning how they fight... I got stronger from after recovering from the injuries."

Roshi hums as he takes in my story. "These Saibamen sound dangerous. But did they learn new techniques?"

I shake my head. "At their level of strength, they could cause a lot of chaos in the world. It's best they stick to what they know."

I turn my body to the left and walk inside Master Roshi's house. On the outside it was pink and red with "Kame House" written in red.

I take a seat on the sofa and wait for the boys to return with Launch so we can begin our training in earnest.

Hours later, I hear what I imagine to be Goku's Flying Nimbus zooming toward the island. With a yawn, I exit Kame House to see Master Roshi checking out the blue haired woman who introduces herself as Launch.

"Krillin, Goku, you have passed the test! Tomorrow your training begins in earnest. I haven't forgotten about you Kachoba." the old man states.

Launch's eyes lock onto the green cultivated warriors that are my Saibamen. Who are just patroling the small island.

"Oh my! What are those creatures?" she questions cautiously.

"Oh them? They are my little helpers. They're called Saibamen." I answer.

As we begin to retire for the day, I decide to get some shut-eye. I take off my shoes and get into my futon that Master Roshi provided for me. I smile at the thought of fighting strong opponents. After a short while, I fall asleep.

The next day was the start of our brutal training regimen. Waking up at 4 AM, for milk deliveries, plowing a farmer's field with our bare hands, swimming in a shark infested lake. But before I could do that last part, I told Roshi that I didn't know how to swim. Luckily, he taught me how to swim. I was getting better and better at it. Then it came time for me to join Goku and Krillin at swimming.

"Guys! Wait for me!" I call out.

"No way! If we slow down, we're fish food!" I hear Krillin yell.

Adrenaline courses through me as I swim to escape the hungry sharks.

I manage to join Krillin and Goku at dry land, panting.

Meanwhile

Our first day of real training comes. This is the day of the dreaded stone trial. Master Roshi throws a stone that has his writing on it into a huge forest and tells us to find it.
Goku and I attempt to find the stone but due to Krillin's trickery, we lose.

Later, we get into more advanced training. We have to wear 40 kg turtle shells as we repeat our daily routines. If I wasn't in the world of Dragon Ball, I would have quit after a few days of training. But my Saiyan blood boils. I have to get stronger. Plus, Launch's cooking is delicious. We even take breaks to review what we learned. The year is now Age 750 by the way.

Eventually, Master Roshi tells us that we are to take part in the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament. He tells us that to be ready, we need to train more.

On the last day of training, Master tells us to take of our shells. We do so and oh boy... I jump in relief only to realize I jumped a lot higher than I anticipated.

This is the results of my training? If only this stuff was in my homeworld! I would have probably been a competent martial artist. Here, my new body's potential has so much room to grow!

We leave to enlist in the tournament, leaving my Saibamen behind. They would just cause people to run away.

After we arrive on the island where the tournament will take place, we meet Bulma ( a girl with blue hair), Puar (a blue shapeshifting cat who floats), Yamcha (a former desert bandit with black hair), and Oolong (like Puar, he can shapeshift but he is an anthropomophic pig). I introduce myself while unwrapping my tail from my waist.

"Hello. I'm Kachoba."

Bulma vocally notes " Y-you have a tail? Like Goku used to?"

I nod. "May I have your names?"

She smiles and introduces herself and the others. "I'm Bulma! This is Yamcha, Puar and Oolong."

"Nice to meet you! I'm Puar!" Puar says in his (or is it her? There was no definitive answer in my world.) high pitched voice.

"What's up. I'm Yamcha." the black haired boy says.

"And I'm Oolong." the pig man said.

I smile, finally meeting the old Dragon Ball crew.

Roshi and Krillin introduces themselves, Goku tries to catch up with his friends but I interrupt.

"Guys! We gotta hurry if we want to participate!"

"That's right! C'mon boys!" Master Roshi realizes.

We head to the registration booth.

We enter our names and are placed in our matches in the preliminaries. Master Roshi gives Krillin, Goku, and I our very own Turtle School gi. Reddish-orange in color, it has a tank top, baggy pants, black obi tied in a knot at the front of the waist and blue tipped shoes with white socks. On the back of the shirt is a large kanji representing representing the Turtle School. There is a smaller one on the front-left side.

I easily defeat the hopeful entrants that I'm paired with. A woman with lavender colored hair is one of them (Ranfan?). Krillin gets his revenge on his bullies from Orin Temple. Goku defeats his opponents as well.

We then get our matches scheduled.

Krillin VS Bacterian

Jackie Chun VS Yamcha

Nam VS Kachoba

Son Goku VS Giran

Looks like I'm facing Nam, a dark skinned man in robes, wearing a white turban. He aims to earn money from winning the tournament to buy water for his village. He is no slouch when it comes to fighting. And "Jackie Chun" is just Master Roshi in disguise trying to make sure we don't become arrogant by winning the tournament.

First up is Krillin against a big man who, I kid you not, never bathed in his life.

Krillin manages to win, securing a knockout.

Master Roshi defeats Yamcha easily by thrusting his palm creating a force of wind that knocks Yamcha out of bounds.

Next up is my match with Nam. I have made impressive gains since training under Master Roshi, the Saibamen could only get me so far before.

I will test my new strength against Nam.
