Summary: when Winry thinks that Edward is visiting but he says he is bringing a friend. Nothing can prepare her when she finds that this so called friend could be something much more. Will she be able to take the competition.

Chapter 1: shocking surprise
It was another sunny morning in Risemboul. There was a slight breeze that was barely able to make the leaves in the trees rustle. All was peaceful outside but inside the Rockbell house, all was chaotic. Pinako and winry had just gotten a call from edward that morning. He told them that he was going to be dropping by later. The only thing was is that he was bringing a friend with him. Ever since then Winry and Pinako had been running around the house all morning trying to make it look at least half decent for their company. There were pieces of automail everywhere. You could hardly see the floor through it all. Though Winry didn't care that much Pinako apparently did. Winry had never seen her grandmother move so fast, she didn't even think it was possible for her to move like that. She was like a bee whizzing back and forth collecting pollen as she went. Except instead of pollen it was automail.
By the time Pinako had finished cleaning she finally settled down a bit. She sat on the couch as Winry was pacing back and forth with anticipation. "Winry sit down before you burn a whole through the floor," Pinako yelled. "I can't help it I'm nervous,"Winry answered softly. Pinako looked over at Winry with a confused look on her face. "What the hell are you worried about," she asked. "I don't know,"Winry replied, "I just have this weird feeling." pinako raised an eyebrow at her and scowled. Just then there came a heart stopping knock at the door. Winry slowly walked towards the door and placed her hand on the bronze doorknob. She took a deep breath and turned it slowly. Once the door opened all she saw standing in the doorway was Ed. He smiled at her, the grin covering his entire face. "Hi Winry,"he said calmly. "Hi Ed, I'm glad your back." She kept looking past him, her eyes seemed as if they were searching for something. "Winry," Ed asked, "are you okay." "Huh...oh yeah...I'm fine,"she said not meeting his gaze. "Hey Ed I thought you said you were bringing a friend with you?""I know,"he replied " she's out in the car getting her bags." Winry froze as soon as he said the word she. "Wait a minute, she," Winry asked, a little worried now. "Yeah,"he replied, "her name is Sarka." Winry couldn't believe what she was hearing. How could Ed even think about bringing another girl here, of all places. She then stepped back the shock being to much for her to handle.
"Winry are you okay," Ed asked taking a step towards her. At the sound of his voice Winry quickly snapped back to reality. "Yeah Ed I'm fine," she said hesitantly, "oh I'm sorry Ed why don't you and SARKA, come in." Just then she heard the car door slam. She heard footsteps walking towards the house. Then before Winry could even contemplate the events that were occurring. She found herself staring face to face with Sarka. This was the beginning of a beautiful rivalship. that's it for my first chapter. I'm sorry if was to short but I'll make the next chapter longer. Plz let me know what you think.
