Ben 10: Alien Rebirth

It started with an alien device that did what it did. It stuck itself upon his wrist with secrets that it hid. Now he's got super powers, he's no ordinary kid. He's Ben 10! My retelling of the Ben 10 series, with various changes throughout the story, including: mild cursing, some mild violence, skipped and altered episodes, etc. New chapters (almost) every Tuesday

16. Chapter 16

Ben 10: Alien Rebirth

Chapter 16: Framed

We once again see the Tennysons, as they are waiting in a long line to buy a newly released game. Ben was beyond excited.

Ben, "man! I can't believe it's finally here! Sumo Slammers 2.1!"

Gwen, "don't you already have this game? You play it all the time!"

Ben, "yeah, but this is version 2.1. There is a big difference between this one and the last one! You can change your character's color anytime you want!"

Gwen, "ugh, I can't wait any longer. Can't we go somewhere else? Somewhere way more exciting than a really long line?"

Max, "hmm, how about we go over to that bookstore? Ben, are you okay with staying in line on your own?"

Ben, "yeah, I'm fine. You guys go on ahead."

And so, they decide to enter a nearby bookstore as Ben continues to wait in line for the game.

….

Later, they come back out of the store.

Gwen, "I wonder how Ben's doing after waiting for so long? He probably has the game by now."

That's when they heard a huge crash!

The line is no longer there, but what shocked them was that FourArms was running about on a rampage, even attacking the police!

Max, "what the-?"

Gwen, "what the heck is he doing?!"

Gwen and Grandpa Max are shocked, as they believe that Ben is the one to blame.

But there's a certain detail they don't notice. The Omnitrix on their shoulder is nowhere to be found, and their color seems to be a shade darker!

Suddenly, a group called; The Special Alien Containment Team, or the SACT, arrives, and prepares to defeat 'FourArms.'

Before doing so, Gwen runs up to 'FourArms' and yells, "What are you doing?! What's gotten into you!?"

'FourArms', "get outta the way!"

He pushes her out of the way, her words having no luck as he continues to attack and ends up being shot by the SACT's advanced weapons.

Unfortunately, 'FourArms' leaps off and leaves them behind.

Max and Gwen look at one another in shock and confusion, wondering just what exactly was going on?

….

Back at the RV, Gwen is infuriated by Ben's recent actions over a video game.

She and Max storm in to find Ben sitting there, playing his new game very calmly and quietly while Chester is sitting on his shoulder. Chester flies back to his roost as Gwen and Max approach Ben.

Gwen, "what the heck were you doing?"

Ben, "um, playing my game?"

Gwen, "we saw you as FourArms, attacking people!"

Ben, "um, what're you talking about? I've been here this whole time after I got my game."

Gwen, "really? Then explain this?"

Gwen shows a clip on her computer that had been put online of FourArms attacking the city!

Ben, "what the?! I haven't been doing that!"

Max, "Ben, I wanna believe you, but look at this evidence."

Ben looks closer at the clip, and then says, "there's no watch."

Gwen and Max, "what?"

Ben, "the FourArms in this clip has no watch! That can't be me!"

Gwen and Max looked at the clip, and saw that Ben was right, the Omnitrix wasn't on this FourArms!

Max, "he has a point Gwen. This must be an imposter!"

Gwen, "maybe, but the watch does crazy stuff all the time. Maybe it's another glitch?"

Ben, "if it isn't, we gotta prove it. We need to go and find this imposter before he causes any more damage!"

Max, "I agree."

Gwen, "alright, I guess that makes sense."

And so, they leave the RustBucket in search of this imposter.

….

A little while later, Ben, Gwen and Max are searching for the imposter as Gwen is still a little suspicious of her cousin.

Ben then spots the 'FourArms' in an alleyway!

Ben, "there he is!"

Ben goes after him, with Max and Gwen trying to keep up with the chase.

Ben attempts to activate the Omnitrix to transform into XLR8, though no luck.

Ben, "come on! Why does this thing glitch out when I need it the most?!"

Ben finds the FourArms double at the top of the US Mint building and Ben decides to go after him.

….

Inside, Gwen and Max enter, but can't seem to find Ben anywhere.

Max, "Ben?"

Gwen, "hey dweeb? Where are you?"

Gwen hoped using that nickname would make him show up.

But soon, they find HeatBlast attacking the place! His back is to them, so they can't see that the Omnitrix isn't on their chest!

Gwen runs up and yells, "yo, hothead! Back off the fireworks before somebody gets really hurt! Now, if you take responsibility for all the crazy stuff you've been doing lately, I'm sure we can help you with whatever glitch you have going on with the watch!"

'HeatBlast' says, "nice to see you again, cutie."

Gwen, "a- wait…. Cutie? It…. It can't be-?"

That's right when Ben runs in next to Max, who is both shocked and relieved by the sight that his grandson isn't wrecking the place.

Ben, "Gwen!"

Gwen turns to see Ben standing there, meaning he was telling the truth this whole time!

Gwen, "Ben! It's-"

The HeatBlast imposter pushes Gwen aside and shoots a ball of fire at Max! Ben transforms into DiamondHead faster than anyone can blink and blocks the fires just in time to protect his grandpa as Gwen runs over to them.

DiamondHead chases after the imposter Heatblast through the building, but he's stopped by coins that were held in a large container above him that HeatBlast shoots down with his fire, sending him onto his back.

He sits up as the imposter approaches.

'HeatBlast', "you really stink with those powers, you know that?"

DiamondHead, "who the Hell are you?"

'HeatBlast', "you mean you really haven't guessed…. Partner?"

DiamondHead, "'partner?' Wait…. No…. It can't be…. You're-!"

Suddenly, the imposter's head begins to change and morph into StinkFly's head, and then into BuzzShock's head, and then finally, Kevin Levin's!

Kevin, "hey there, 'partner.'"

DiamindHead, "Kevin!? But, how?!"

Kevin, "the last time we met, I absorbed enough of the energy from that watch of yours, that I now have access to almost all of those super powered freaks in it for some reason, I can't turn into that ghost one. But it came at the cost of losing access to my original form. I can only take it for a short time. And now, I've been using your powers to ruin your reputation as a hero. I do the crime and you get the time."

DiamondHead, "I wanted to help you Kevin. We all did. But you attacked us!"

Kevin, "yeah? Well I don't care!"

Kevin transforms into K-StinkFly and flies away, leaving DiamondHead behind with the authorities as they arrive and begin storming the building.

A bunch of them surround DiamondHead as he tries to explain what's going on.

DiamondHead, "listen! I'm not the one responsible for all of this! It's someone else posing as me! I'm a good guy!"

They don't seem to believe him.

Max and Gwen come by to back his story up.

Gwen, "it's true! Don't hurt him!"

Max, "you're making a mistake!"

But the SACT don't believe them.

They all shout orders for them to move!

"Move!"

"Stand down!"

"Get out of the way!"

So DiamondHead has no other choice but to run and hide. The SACT runs past Max and Gwen as they chase after DiamondHead!

As he runs off, DiamondHead looks for an area to hide.

Two soldiers find him and shoot at him, but DiamondHead counters back by knocking a platform down to stop them from chasing him.

As DiamondHead continues to find a way out, he's again detected, but this time, he's trapped between two teams of SACT agents.

To make matters worse, the Omnitrix is about to timeout.

As DiamondHead brainstorms for an idea, he jumps down and reverts back to Ben just in time.

The soldiers find Ben as he says, "o-oh God, is that big crystal guy gone? I swear, I thought he was gonna kill me!"

The soldiers looked at one another in confusion as Ben thought, 'suckers.'

Ben is escorted back to Gwen and Max.

Gwen acts relieved to see Ben again as she hugs her cousin, who hugs back.

Just then, the SACT leader, Steel, arrives.

Steel, "you three are gonna want to vacate the area. Those aliens might come back."

Steel keeps glancing at the Omnitrix. Ben quickly pulls up his wristband to cover the watch, as he is suspicious of Ben, though he lets them through.

After they leave, he looks to his troops and says, "follow them. They may have more to do with this than we know."

….

In the RV, they discuss with each other what's happened so far.

Max, "so Kevin can transform into all of your aliens."

Ben, "a side effect after he absorbed power from the Omnitrix."

Gwen, "I looked online and found some news headlines. It looks like Kevin has been busy using your alien forms to wreak havoc in major cities. Tallahassee, Chicago and Barstow are only the tip of the iceberg."

Ben, "I guess we've been so busy with stuff like Vilgax, Phil, and that giant tick, that we haven't been able to get a newspaper."

Max, "well whatever the case, we need to stop Kevin. Let's hope there's still a way to reason with him."

Gwen, "agreed."

Ben makes a kissy face, indicating Gwen might still have a crush on Kevin, but she thwacks her cousin on the head.

Ben, "ow!"

All of a sudden, a trolley train is shown heading down the street, but it seems to be out of control, with all of the people on it screaming!

Gwen, "that trolley is outta control!"

Ben, "and I have a hunch on who's the cause…."

….

Ben is right on the money, as Kevin, as Upgrade, is controlling the trolley, laughing in maniacal glee!

….

Ben climbs up to the top of the RustBucket and tries to transform into Upgrade himself, but he transforms into WildMutt instead.

WildMutt gives an exasperated roar.

He jumps onto the road and runs to the rescue of the trolley train and it seems that the SACT have been tracking them, as several of their vehicles are trailing behind them!

Inside the trolley, the driver tries to stop the car, but K-Upgrade pulls it out, which makes their situation worse.

WildMutt is behind them and eventually gets on top of the trolley.

K-Upgrade finds him and tries to get him off, shaking the trolley around to throw him off, but WildMutt is able to get inside the trolley!

….

Behind the car, Max pilots the RV, transformed into its aerodynamic form, hoping to catch up with the trolley.

….

Inside the car, K-Upgrade is able to get WildMutt down on the ground of the vehicle and tries to get away with it by leaving, transforming into K-StinkFly and flying away!

The trolley continues to move and is headed to a nearby pier.

Max gets close enough and yells, "Ben! Get on the RV!"

Max throws a grappling hook to put on the trolley. It hooks on as Max throws a line to WildMutt, who grips the rope in his mouth, pulling the trolley as hard as they can as Max puts the brakes on the RustBucket.

Before the trolley falls to its doom, Max and WildMutt are able to save everyone in it!

WildMutt runs off as Max and Gwen drive off in the RustBucket after him, leaving the SACT behind to handle the situation.

….

Later at night, the RustBucket stops in a parking lot.

Max and Gwen come out and it seems that they were there to pick Ben up after the incident.

In an unfortunate situation, the SACT are there, surrounding the area, there to take the Tennysons down, after seeing that they were involved with the alien business.

Steel approaches them and says, "you three! I know you're involved with these aliens sightings! And it must have something to do with that watch on that kid's wrist!"

Ben puts his hands behind his back and quickly pulls his wristband back on.

But before anything else could be said and done, a report suddenly goes through!

"Attention all SACT! An alien has been sighted in the area. Subject is large, made of green crystals and wearing a black and white outfit of some kind!"

Steel glares at the Tennysons.

Steel, "this isn't over. You're off the hook this time, but we'll be back!"

As the SACT leaves, the trio looks at one another in silent agreement.

….

Steel and his troops arrive at the bridge to see K-DiamondHead reeking havoc!

Steel gets down to the bridge to deal with him.

Steel, "freeze, freak!"

K-DiamondHead turns to Steel and gives an evil smile as he starts shooting crystal shards at him. Steel dodges as fast as he can as he tries hitting the alien over and over again, but he's no match for him and K-Diamondhead beats him up!

He holds him over the edge of the bridge and says, "any last words before I drop you like a sack of bowling balls?"

"Let him go Kevin!"

Steel and K-DiamondHead turn to see FourArms landing a few feet away.

FourArms, "let him go. This is all about you and me."

K-DiamondHead, "sounds good to me."

K-DiamondHead tosses Steel away as he and FourArms have a standoff.

K-DiamondHead, "still trying to be a goody two-shoes, Ben? Let me guess. You just want to help me."

FourArms, "I tried to help you Kevin! Grandpa Max tried to help you! But you won't accept this help! Rather than using your powers for good, you hurt people! You could be so much better!"

K-DiamondHead, "shut up and fight!"

K-DiamondHead runs at FourArms, yelling as they begin trading blows with one another!

As they continue to battle one another, the SACT readies their weapons!

Gwen and Max stop the RustBucket in front of them and run out.

Gwen, "wait! Don't shoot! You might hit FourArms! He's trying to help."

Max, "please, don't shoot! Let them fight!"

Steel, "troops! Don't shoot until my command!"

As K-Diamondhead is no match for FourArms, he transforms into K-Heatblast, which he thinks will give him an advantage.

However, FourArms is able to run through the flames he sends out and is able to knock him into the air, but he transforms into K-StinkFly. He starts shooting globs of goop, but FourArms is able to dodge them. Before K-StinkFly is able to attack FourArms any further, he transforms back into Kevin, landing in front of him.

FourArms comes up to him, readying a punch, and smashes his fist into the ground, deliberately missing Kevin's head.

FourArms glares at Kevin as he steps away.

Kevin, "what are you doing?! Fight me! This isn't over!"

FourArms, "yes it is! I don't wanna fight you Kevin. All we wanna do is help you. But you keep throwing our help back into our faces! Well, you know what…. This isn't worth my time."

FourArms turns away as Kevin begins growling in pure hate and rage.

He yells, "GET BACK HERE AND FIGHT ME YOU BASTARD!"

FourArms continues walking.

Suddenly, Kevin's body begins to spark and strain. His ability to regulate the absorbed power he has, has begun to fail altogether, causing him to mutate into a misshapen, chaotic amalgam of the Omnitrix aliens! StinkFly's wings, GreyMatter's eye and two of FourArms eyes, RipJaws' teeth and light on the forehead, four arms and the legs of FourArms, one of the arms being DiamonHead's, one being HeatBlast's arm, two being WildMutt's arms, XLR8's tail, Upgrade's circuitry on his back, and his shoulders looking like Buzzshock's skin.

FourArms, "what have you done?!"

Kevin, "hahaha! I've got ALL of your powers now! I'm Kevin Eleven! Hahaha!"

He starts trying to hit FourArms, who avoids the punches as fast as he can as he tries to get to Kevin!

FourArms, "Kevin, please listen! You don't have to do this!"

Kevin 11, "HAHAHA! I know! I just want to! HAHAHA!"

Kevin punches FourArms down and tries to turn back to normal, but he can't! He strains and strains, but nothing happens!

Kevin 11, "I…. I can't change back! I'm stuck like this! Look at what you've done!"

FourArms, "oh, man! Is there anything I'm not going to get blamed for today?

Kevin 11 tries running at FourArms, but Steel yells to his men, "SHOOT THE BIG ONE!"

The troops start shooting at Kevin, forcing him back and causing him to fall from the top of the bridge, down to the ocean water!

FourArms tried to reach for Kevin, but he didn't even get a chance to grab him

Steel and FourArms look at one another as they stand on the bridge.

One of the soldiers calls Steel and asks, "sir, we have the other target in sight. Shall we engage?"

FourArms, "..."

Steel, "... no. Let him go."

"Understood sir."

FourArms and Steel give silent nods to one another.

FourArms runs off as Steel starts making his way off of the bridge.

….

Later, as the Tennysons drive off to their next destination, Steel stops them to have a talk with them.

Steel, "I don't know why these aliens keep showing up when you're around…. But I suppose if they're the good kind, maybe that's a good thing."

Max, "well, have a pleasant night sir."

The RustBucket drove off, leaving the SACT to clean up the mess….

….

On the RustBucket, all three of them have sad looks upon their faces.

Ben, "I wish I could've helped him. I know we fought, but he seriously needs help."

Max, "I know he's still out there Ben. Maybe one day, we can get through to him."

Gwen, "let's hope so…."

And with that, our heroes were off once again, hoping to one day help their foe….

….

Meanwhile, far away on a small patch of land in the middle of the water, we see Kevin dragging himself onto the land, coughing as he catches his breath.

Kevin growled out, "this isn't over Tennyson. The next time we meet. You. Are. Dead!"

Chronolocked: but that wouldn't make any sense. Ben hadn't met any of the Andromeda 5 until Ultimate Alien.

Guest: I originally wanted to make Chromastone Ultimate DiamondHead, but the poll I put up said otherwise. Ultimate DiamondHead will basically be a mix of the two Petrosapiens, and Ultimate Chromastone will be as well.

Ushindi: Glad you're so excited. 1. I will always prefer the og Ben 10K. 2. Never seen the reboot movie, and don't plan to, since I didn't really like the reboot aside from one or two redesigns.

Guest: yep, Cannonbolt is here, and this chapter reflects more of the changes I've made!

Tippy 1.1: well, I'm glad you're excited. Quick change will be unlocked after the Highbreed invasion is thwarted. I DO plan on doing Ultimate Big Chill. I just forgot to put him on the list! I do really like your ideas for him though. Hope and Ben's relationship will play a big role. They start crushing automatically. Undertown will be established after Vilgax arrives in Alien Force, where Ben's status as a protector of the planet causes a ton of aliens to move to Earth. Ben's daughter is named Lumi, and yeah, she and Ben will have a love of crazy smoothies. And yeah, the one liner thing will be a running joke. And I love the dialogue idea.

We get a little more sympathy for Kevin, as Ben and the others still wanna help him, but things just keep getting worse, it seems.
