Prompt- Rose thinks about her life with Jake compared to Duke. Set in the Duke universe please. And do you plan on putting all of your prompts together on the fanfiction site? Especially the Duke universe one?

I've been thinking about putting the Duke ones on Fanfiction, at least. I'm working on a larger piece that I'd like to share off of tumblr bit obviously it won't make sense without the background prompts.

The other prompts I'm not as sure about because I don't know how to format them ? We'll see. But it's defs been thought about.

Warnings for this one: infidelity mentions, mostly written on my phone

On the morning of her first wedding anniversary, Rose woke up, rolled over, and looked at her husband's face, thinking that she'd never imagined having a second first wedding anniversary, but here she was, with Jake, waking up in Hong Kong.

Jake was still sleeping but Rose didn't think that she would be able to get back to sleep. She stood from the bed, wrapping herself in a robe, and walking to the window, watching the city wake up.

Maybe it wasn't fair to think of her ex husband but it was natural for him to cross her mind from time to time. And, she would admit, for someone who used to occupy her every waking moment, she thought of Duke very little now, and she didn't know what kind of person they made her.

They'd spent their first wedding anniversary at home. He'd woken her up with breakfast in bed, they'd made love through the afternoon, he had taken her to one of the most exquisite restaurants in New York. Rose had been giddy about it for weeks because she knew how their evening was going to go. She always knew how it was going to go.

With Jake, he'd told her they were taking a vacation. She hadn't known where they were going until they reached the airport. It was thrilling and exhilarating to realize she didn't need to know the details, that she could trust in someone so much that she could just take their hand.

"Come back to bed."

Rose hadn't even heard Jake get out of bed, let alone come up behind her. She could feel his tiredness in the way he snuggled into her neck, enveloping her in the familiar.

"Look at the sunrise," Rose said.

Jake wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his chin onto her shoulders, and they watched the sun come up, as one.
