Oh the drama!
Even though all of these "Duke Universe" drabbles take place in the same general context doesn't mean they all are/all have to be compliant with one another ️

Rose wasn't sure she believed in karma and she definitely didn't believe that children were a punishment but, for a moment, holding that pregnancy stick in her hands, she felt like it was something malicious. She'd just broken up her marriage for her affair partner. She was living in her house with her twin sister for breathing room. She couldn't tell Jake she was pregnant now! What would it do to their relationship?
Rose counted back to her last period, trying to figure out how it had happened. She was on birth control. She still used protection. And Jake had said blatantly he didn't want kids for at least another five years. It was Duke who had wanted to start trying.
Horror washed through Rose and she promptly vomited into the toilet, the pregnancy test clattering to the floor.
What if it was her soon to be ex-husband's child? What if she was the woman who had gotten pregnant by someone else while still married?
Rose's head spun and she leant her head against the wall. This wasn't what she thought her life would be. This wasn't the person she thought she'd be.
"Rose?" Rachelle knocked on the bathroom door. "You good?"
"No," Rose said, a sob escaping her.
"I'm coming in!"
And Rose sat there and waited, unable to do anything but freeze.
