Write something in the Duke universe. Maybe something you want to flesh out?
Hmmm. Like I know I'm writing it but this has really just felt like a crowd funded experience so something I'd like to see? Had to think about it

"Duke!"
A hand reached out and grabbed Duke's arm. He let himself be pulled into the alcove off the kitchen, where his mother was staring at him.
"Yes?"
Sophie crossed her arms and raised her eyebrows.
"Mom, what?"
"The girl," Sophie said, gesturing toward the living room. "You brought a girl home!"
"I did," Duke said, smiling widely. "She seems to be getting along with Dad and Adela very well. So, why are you giving me a face?"
"I'm not giving you a face," Sophie said, sounding more like a teenager than a woman in her fifties. "You just hadn't mentioned her a lot so it seems rather sudden to be bringing her home."
"Her name is Rose," Duke said and he grinned. "She makes me very happy. You should be happy too."
"I am!"
"Everyone else likes her. I like her."
"Well, I would hope you liked her if you brought her home to meet me," Sophie said. "I just … It all seems so quick, Duke, how serious is this?"
Duke kissed his mother's forehead and then leant in close to her, whispering, "I'm already looking at rings."
"Lord, help us!" Sophie exclaimed as Duke flounced away, back to Rose's side.
But no one heard her.
