Hello my readers, I'm still working on updating chapter 15 of my first story. I am going to make it a bit longer then what it's like until I do update it. Part of it is staying the same and the rest is gonna be different with the same ending. So, that's where that update stands I've been kinda back and forth between chapters when idea's hit my brain.

Anywho, here we go my twist on season 5 episode 5, I would do a chapter like episode 4 but I classify that as a filler episode, and one I can't figure out how to work around, so that's why I skipped that, but later chapters might have some references asking about Lilith.

Lucifer spent all night trying to convince Selene to talk to him, after leaving multiple messages, Selene agreed to meet with him. When she met with him at the crack of dawn at the beach, she was confused on what he wanted. He blindfolded her when she arrived and lead her out on the beach, "Thank you for finally agreeing to meet with me, Selene." She was feeling in different at the moment.

"Well, I am ready to talk, I know you have been trying to be patient with me, I'm sorry for what I said last night. I meant half of what I said about moving back home." She let out a sigh, "I don't know what you can possibly say to make a difference, getting the real answer's I need are out of my reach."

Lucifer stopped once they got to the spot, "I agree." He took off the blindfold and let her see that there was piñata for her. "What's this for? As much as I love piñatas , Luce this ain't the answer that's gonna solve my issues." Lucifer was confident that he could make her feel better. "Once again, I agree. Hold this please." he held up the blindfold she took from him, "What are you doing?" she wasn't sure how to feel about Lucifer's actions anymore knowing he's a twin.

"Years ago, I faced a similar sense of helplessness. Now, I know you don't have wings far as we know obviously, but.. as a Devil that knows a thing or two about metaphors..." He held up a bat wondering if Selene would get the hint. "Lucifer, I don't need this." she shook her head at the bat, "As much as I love beating things up when I was younger for stress releif, I'm not in the mood to beat on a piñata. Besides there's not much effort to beating a piñata into the sand"

Lucifer sighed deeply he was hoping this would help, "Then what can I do, Selene, tell me what I should do?" Selene huffed and looked at him, "I don't know Lucifer, forget about me and maybe focus on fixing what your brother made a mess of. I gotta get back an start training my new horses, to clean saddles, tacks, bathe the horses, all before work tonight." She walked away heading back to her Jeep. Lucifer huffed, "But I don't have much time."

Lucifer had left as well he tried to get ahold of Linda but couldn't so he went to her house. When he got there he rapidly knocked on the door, Linda hurried to the door having a guess on who could it be at 7 am, she opened the door to see Lucifer. "Ah! My apologies doctor. I don't mean to barge into your home like this, but you weren't at work." he said entering the house walking down the steps past Linda, "It's 7:00 am."

He looked at her like the time mattered, "And?" Linda wanted to make a comment but something else came to mind, "It's good that you're here, actually." she said walking down the steps of her front door. "I need to speak with you about Selene quite urgently. She want's me to forget about her as she deals with her identity crisis." Linda blurted out, "Lucifer, you should know-"

Lucifer cut Linda off in mid sentence, "I should know better, I need to be patient. Yes, I am aware." She was surprised that Lucifer basically answered his own question with a point. "Not what I was going to say, but it's a good point." She tried to remain focused on Lucifer, "The problem is, if Selene focuses on her horses an work, she might as well be avoiding her issues. I need to help her move along to where we are good again."

She took notice hearing what sounded like Amenadiel, "Yeah. Thing is, Amenadiel-" Lucifer was annoyed that the doctor wasn't listening, "Is down in hell waiting for my return, yes, I'm aware. Why do you think I'm in a bloody hurry?" Amenadiel was in the background with Charlie hoping to sneak though the room unnoticed hearing his brother. "Lucifer-" Lucifer was at whit's end, "Doctor, I need to clear things up before I go home, because once I relive my brother... who knows when I'll be back?"

Lucifer sighed as Amenadiel was behind Lucifer with Charlie, " It's... It's not like I can just leave hell unattended and..." Lucifer turned around and saw Amenadiel standing there with a busted expression, "Amenadiel." Lucifer said confused why his brother was not still in hell. "Oh. Hey, Lucy." Charlie cooed in his arms. Lucifer looked at Linda, "Why didn't you tell me he was here?" Linda chuckled and went to take Charlie from Amenadiel. Lucifer returned his attention on Amenadiel, "Brother, why are you here?" Amenadiel cleared his throat then sighed having Lucifer sit down.

Amenadiel began telling the story of hearing a voice in hell he never expected to hear. God has relived Amenadiel saying hell doesn't need a ruler. Lucifer went off on a rant of his own clearly not happy that after a millennia in hell playing warden, his brother stay's watch and now hell doesn't need a king. "First, Selene, now this? Talk about salt in the wound." Amenadiel perked up at Selene's name, "What happened? Is she ok?" He asked Lucifer.

"Oh, I wouldn't know. I've been kept at arm's length ever since Michael told her things that he shouldn't have." Amenadiel was afraid of that Michael made contact with Selene. "I fear now that Michael, melted her human brain telling her the soul in her body isn't her's, but a celestial." Lucifer sighed taking a sip of a drink he poured. Amenadiel let out a sigh, "Well, Least she won't know that the fact I was the one who...delivered the soul." Lucifer frowned at that tidbit, "Oh, no, I don't want her brain anymore melted then what Michael has done to it." Amenadiel nodded he was going to have to visit Selene.

Later that afternoon, Selene was in her stable cleaning her horses gear, humming along to the music playing on her phone. It wasn't long until she herd someone, "Hello?" she called out, then she saw Amenadiel, "Oh, Hey, Amenadiel." she said casually then stopped cleaning, "Wait. I thought you were in hell...did Lucifer...?" she felt her anxiety rise that Lucifer had left for hell without telling her. "No, no, he's still here." Selene let out a sigh of relief, she felt bad shutting Lucifer out. "Everything in Hell is taken care of there's no need for Lucifer to even return to Hell."

Selene nearly dropped her tack she was cleaning," Wait... He's free? no more ruling over demons? Who's watching hell then?" Amenadiel walked over to her and sat down, "Father, has relived Lucifer of his duty, he said Hell doesn't need a warden anymore." Selene was confused and fearful, "I don't want to question God's choice, but I feel that it's not a good idea, to leave Hell, unattended especially after that fiasco with Dromos. But, If God feels that way, who am I to question his Judgment. I'm just a- whatever I am." she sighed going back to cleaning.

"I came to see how you're doing." Selene had a inkling, "You're here because you must have herd about my mental state that I have eternal youth, and I'm a toy for Lucifer." She said a bit bluntly, " I've always hated the idea of being someone's buckle bunny, I disapprove of arrange loveless marriage on a personal level but I don't judge on peoples culture, but to be specifically made for someone alone created from someone else...that's worse." She spat with venom in her tone, "you know, when they say the truth hurts... they damn well ain't wrong. on the otherhand, I don't know what's the truth... and I can't get any answers from God..."

He looked at her Michael really messed with Selene, "Listen about what Michael said-" Selene cut him off, "Ameandiel. I don't know how to feel about all this, knowledge is power is kinda a thing, but I think I really had enough celestial business I don't know how much more I can take, even just knowing little bits, is too much on it's own, I've got enough of my plate the way it is with myself having powers, and knowing Heaven and Hell actually exist. It's not the answer's I was hoping for, I think, I donno."

Amenadiel gave her a pity look, "Seeking answers isn't a bad thing, Selene, It's good to have that need to know more, I do understand your frustration, I only wish I could help you get the answers you seek." He said watching her clean, "Things have changed in Heaven. No one has had any contact with Father, I was surprised to herd his voice at all in Hell. Michael has seen to it that no one has a direct line to him but him." Selene stopped cleaning and looked at him.

"That doesn't seem right, what God shut everyone out? How on earth did Michael achieve that? Surely your other siblings know something?" She had questioned him, "Not sure if they do, for some reason Michael managed to seat himself as Father's right hand." Selene didn't like the sound of it, "Should I be worried? About Michael I mean, I'm surprised I was able to be in his presence, I'm not happy about his little scam. I feel every time I see Lucifer, I feel like I'm looking at Michael and it's making me nauseous." She stated as she took a break from cleaning.

"I know It's not Lucifer's fault, I feel bad about pushing him away, the whole twins thing, really thrown me for a loop I had no idea they were identical twins. I'm repulsed that I got caught up in like a cheating scandel, I want to be faithful, and I have been even when Lucifer dumped me our first trial relationship. I know it's probably not my fault either there was no way I could have known, but I'm still guilty either way of least kissing Michael, I'd really hate myself if things went further."

Ameandiel reached out to Selene, "Lucifer, would never blame you, Selene. He hates the fact Michael has put you though this. He knows you have done nothing wrong. He really cares about you enough to be worried about you. Don't let Michael rip what you both have apart. " Selene looked down at her feet frowning she sighed. "You're right, I'm being crazy about all this, I'll be over this whole mess, it's just going to have to take a while. I want to believe that this is my own free will, I also wish I could forget all this celestial stuff and things be how it use to be."

Selene looked at her drink as it was empty and sighed, "Dose Lucifer know your here?" He looked at her straight in the eyes, "No. He has no idea I'm here. You're more then welcome to keep venting to me. Your emotions are valid in this case, completely to be expected. Lucy, and I are here for you, so is Linda and Maze." Selene nodded, "Yeah, well, so is my family, least my cousins know, I let the cat out of the bag, and shown them what I can do." She motioned him to walk and talk with her back to the house.

"They know? How are they taking it?" He had to ask as he walked with her, "Pretty good I think, there a little, weary about Lucifer being really the devil. All things considering, they support me and Lucifer being together. It's just hard now to be, I was hoping to reconnect with Lucifer, but Michael kinda blew that." She walked to her kitchen to fill her cup up with iced tea.

"That's something I wish to kinda talk to you about, Selene. You deserve to know this, as far as I know, Yes, you were born from Asariel's soul, several years ago at Father's behast, I was the one to deliver you to your parents, I had no knowledge that you were made for Lucifer. I don't believe you were, but you are not 'the gift'." Selene looked at him confused, he was hoping this talk would help her better understand things better.

"As you know men, women, there all drawn to Lucifer, because he pulls out peoples desires. But what if the reason that they're drawn to him is because of that?" Selene was rattling her brain on that," Like they don't see Lucifer but their own desires?" Amenadiel hummed on that point of view, "Good guess, I suppose you could say it's like that in a sense." Selene took a sip of her drink, pondering on it for a few minutes. "But... I don't see that when I look at him." She was confused an began to wonder, "Would that mean that I...?"

Ameandiel nodded, "You see him, for who he truly is." Selene recalled her childhood time in Sunday school an gasped at the realization, " so... everything between us... it wasn't even a manipulation?" Amenadiel nodded at her, "It's as real as it gets." everything was starting to sink in as she tried to comprehend things were real be tween her and Lucifer. "You're not the gift Selene. That is. You known all along who he truly is even when you didn't even meet him."

Selene felt so overwhelmed by this news, and she began to feel so stupid for pushing Lucifer away like she did. "But... what about me making him vulnerable...?" She asked making her way to a seat in her kitchen, "That's another thing I need to talk to you about." Selene was all ears having a deep conversation about Lucifer. She knew she had to go see him tonight, she had the need to see him. Lucky for her after Amenadiel left Selene made dinner up to pack and take to Lucifer.

That night, Selene arrived at Lux. She didn't tell Lucifer she was even coming over, she loved to surprise him. She made her way to the elevator and took it to the penthouse. The elevator dinged and opened up to seeing Lucifer playing on his piano, made her smile. She walked out and up to him, "Hello, Lucifer." he stopped playing and turned to see Selene standing there with a smile and looked to have brought dinner.

"Selene." She was smiling and it made him wonder why, "Mind if I sit?" She sat the food down along with her bag. "Please." he moved over on the bench and she sat down next to him. "I had a talk with Amenadiel. He helped me see things more clearly. And he has a theory about you being vulnerable around me." He looked at her quite curious, "Oh? Do tell." Selene tried to think of a way to explain it in the easiest way possible.

"Well, The thing is Lucifer, I don't make you vulnerable at all. You see all us humans are emotionally vulnerable, we show our vulnerability to people we are close to and know we can just let them see a side of us hidden from others. You're vulnerable around me the same reason I am around you." She said looking at him, "I made that choice willingly because I'm comfortable being with you. I'm pretty sure you're making yourself vulnerable without even realizing it which is why it frazzles you so much."

He began to think about it, she had made a lot of sense, but he wasn't aware she was feeling vulnerable with him. "Well, I'll be damned. He might just be right." he still couldn't believe she was here though and had been vulnerable the whole time. "Lucifer, I'm sorry I've been keeping you at arms length. I want things to be real between us, I want this second real chance on being together. Since Amenadiel told me the good news, that you're free from your duty in Hell permently. That's something worth coming here to celebrate with you."

Lucifer let out a light chuckle, "I want the same thing as well." she smiled at him, "I'm sorry for the things I've said too, I didn't mean it...not fully anyway, but I am tired of all the celestial stuff I just want a normal life without having to worry so much. I'm happy to hear you don't have to go back to Hell, after seeing you handle those demons kinda made me think you were just made for the job. Now, you have nothing holding you back you can stay here permanently like you've always wanted."

He was thrilled inside at the idea now that the reality of Amenadiel's news hit him, "Yes, I suppose you're right. And I too wish things can go back to normal finally between us." He got up to get her a drink and refill his glass at the bar. He still needed to wait till the ring was finished being made for him, to make up a new plan as now she was looking for some normalcy just as he was free to have. He still was going to have her cousins help him, he was pretty sure he could persuade them with his charm. He remembered they know who he is and how they seemed kind of uncomfortable with his presence when he saw them again.

He even felt free to finally put a end to his brother when they cross paths again. He couldn't wait to deal with him personally. "You know, I don't believe I actually am a gift, least not exactly for you. What is special about me, is that I actually see you, not a reflection of desire that everyone's drawn too, but the real you, for who you are, and I've always have, thinking back I was meant to be outcasted in Sunday school, cause I just didn't believe in religion at all, but I had my own opinion on you as I'm sure you can recall our first conversation."

He grinned, "How could I forget, those words are what made me start to like you." She smiled and got up to move to the couch to have dinner set up for them to eat, "I should really be working right now, but I've decided to just let the girls handle everything so I can take care of this had to be my top priority to reconnect us." Lucifer brought over her glass of whiskey and she took it. "Well, then here is to being together again, permanently in our relationship." he downed a mouth full of whiskey as Selene did the same" I'll drink to that." She grinned.

They both enjoyed the dinner Selene had made for them to eat together. "There's um, something else you should know. Jack is gone, he passed away." She said sadly, "No, Not Jack." Lucifer was shocked to learn Jack had died, he felt guilty she had been suffering in his absence being in hell the last 2 months mortal time. "I'm so sorry you had to deal with that alone." Selene shook her head, "I knew his time was up anyway he was getting old, I've had him since I was little. So, I have a new trick riding horse to work with, and one that has never been trained."

Lucifer was surprised she got herself a new trick riding horse, " What's the point of having a trick riding horse, when you can't even feel your legs anymore." She gave him a blank look, "So? I want to see if I can do it, if anyone completely paralyzed beyond use of legs can get back on there horse again, well then I can't see a reason I can't try trick riding." There was that drive he missed since she was determined to get back to walking. He saw that spark still there with her, he was also happy to see she hasn't changed much since he left her for Hell.

"Oh, I almost forgot. I have a present for you." She smiled setting her dinner down to grab her bag off the piano, then walked back over to him, "I know you like fine art, but... I thought maybe you like a original." She pulled out a oil pastel colored artwork, with a silhouette of a angel with holding a bright star in one hand and millions of stars scattered around like shooting stars in the night sky.

"This is one of my works I done a few years ago, You have mentioned you are the light bringer, responsible for creating the star's we have. so while I was doing some digging, when I visited home on my last stop on my road trip, I came across it. It's even signed and it's yours." She smiled as he looked in complete shock at how great it looked, "I didn't know what exactly angels actually wore, so I did a naked silhouette." He softly chuckled, "I don't even know what to say. I love it. I think I'll hang it in the bedroom."

Lucifer put his food down to take and admire the artwork she had given to him, he felt that spark again when his fingers brushed over her hands, she smiled with that familiar warmth, now that he knew the source of her warmth was from Asariel's reborn soul. She couldn't even be compared to Asariel, they were both completely different physically and personality, two completely different people in general. He knew what was happening wasn't her forcing it to happen, there was still some powers she hasn't quite mastered yet.

Like her ability to manipulate emotion as well as amplify it under the full moon, but tonight was a crescent moon, her power isn't as strong enough to affect him, the feelings he had was always there burning like a bonfire. When they locked eyes, Lucifer made the advance to kiss her, and Selene leaned in having themselves alittle make out session, as if everything was perfectly normal they could forget the world around them even if it's only a night to enjoy.
