Wordless Wish
He did not cry when Kurama was slammed repeatedly against the vast steel structure with fading emerald eyes. He did not call out his fox's name even when Kurama's limp form hung suspended in the air for a moment before hurtling to the ground below. He did not do anything even when he heard fragile bones snapping and a suppressed cry of agony.
When Kurama's silver form bled crimson and melted into rivulets, he did not say anything. Standing beside Yusuke who cradled the pained fox spirit and tried to pull him back into the land of living, he did absolutely nothing. No outburst, no expression of anguish. Nothing.
When the news of Kurama's soul self destructing, he had turned up as usual. With that inscrutable look at the shimmering soul-form, his voice merely formed four words.
But Kurama smiled gently, knowingly.
"Kono karada ga kieru mae ni, mou ichido kimi wo dakishimetai." (1)
He stepped forth, and allowed those translucent arms to wrap around him.
"Hiei," a soft hiccupping sob "I can't bear to leave you. I can't…I'm sorry. I love you."
Kurama's tears were phantom-like, disappearing before they attained any solid form, just like echoing voice and slender frame.
Without words, he turned and walked off. There is truly nothing to say this time. Not anymore.
"Any last wishes, fox?"
His strides were heavy and light at the same time and the smile on his face softly happy yet devastatingly sad.
So were his tears.
"Before this body disappears, I want to hold you one more time."(2)
(1) and (2) are the same. I just had to had write it in Japanese. Just as extra info, I don't quite own that line either. I merely modified it from Gackt's 'Last Song'. /hyper mode/ That song is sooooooo...beautiful/swoons/ Everyone should, like, get that song!
Okies, enough talk from me. Yeah, you. It's your turn now. Speak.
