The next day Selene was doing her normal routine, she was on auto pilot as her mind couldn't get over what Lucifer said. She doesn't even know how he could have suddenly feel the way he dose. She let out a sigh not really wanting to think about things more, it was bad enough she had to get ready to meet up with her cousin for coffee and to talk over show plans. Lucky for her the meet up wasn't too far from her bar just a block away, easy walking distance.

Selene noticed how she was going to need a facial spa day, to rid the puffy eyes from having to cry, as Selene did a right to left side part. She then braided her hair into low pigtail braids, got dressed in a dark blue denim skirt with a Concho belt, and tan color lace trim tank and a pair of ankle boots with studded straps wrapped around to match, then threw on a sleeveless turquoise plaid button up. After making sure she was all set, ready to leave to head over to work, grabbing her denim jacket just incase.

She headed on out to meet up with Justin, she parked her jeep in her normal spot then made her way down the block. When she walked in Justin was already there, as Selene got in line to order her normal coffee and 2 doughnuts. Once Selene received her order she walked over and sat down, "Morning, Justin." She smiled at him as he did the same, "Morning. You sure you ok? You look terrible, Sel." he said gesturing around the eyes. Selene nodded, "Oh, um, yeah I'm fine. Sometimes a good cry is needed once in a while. Sometimes movies with emotional scenes can do it too." Selene took a sip of her coffee, "Now. Let's get down to business."

Meanwhile Lucifer was laying in bed awake in his silk robe and pants , hating himself, and hating the fact that he screwed up again at a chance of happiness. He got up having the urge to play the piano and sang his heart out. By the end of the song Lucifer herd clapping, he turned around to see God there. "Hmm. I forgot what a wonderful voice you were blessed with." God said as Lucifer chuckled, "Thanks to you, right? Well, it's only second to my relentless honesty. Can't say it's good to see you, Dad."

He walked over to the bar to pour a drink, "What are you still doing slumming it down here, anyway?" God looked at his son, "Didn't Amenadiel tell you? I decided to stay a while." Lucifer scoffed at his father, "Why? So you and Michael can wreak more havoc?" He took a drink as God stood still. "Actually, Michael went home." Lucifer swallowed the mouth full of whiskey with surprise, "Hmm? Sent him to his room, did you? Wish I been there. Back to my original question, what are you still doing here?"

God looked at Lucifer confused, "Do I need a reason to visit my sons?" Lucifer was amused his dad hasn't changed, "Ahh. The old 'answering a question with another question.' One of my favorites. Here, let me have a go. Um, as for father-son hang time, how bout when Hell freezes over? That do for you." he said to his dad as he sighed and walked away to finish his drink. God called out to him, "Samael." Lucifer was about to take a drink then he couldn't restrain himself anymore, "No, no, no!" He put his glass down and confronted his dad face to face. He started to push him to the elevator, "In the short time that you have been here, you've managed to screw up my one chance at happiness, so please just stay away from me!" God didn't show it but he did feel slightly hurt by his son's rejection when the door's closed.

Back with Selene, her and Justin walked back to the bar together after being there for almost a half hour. Selene's dance class had arrived on time, she couldn't wait till after lessons they can get into rehearsals. Justin watched Selene teach from the bar, he looked proud of how far she has made it, it made him remember how her mom use to help people learn to do the dance. Just as class was about over, God had strolled in the front door's and watched silently over his creation. It wasn't long until Selene noticed a customer was waiting, she whispered to Aly to take over.

Selene walked up to God, "Hello. Welcome to the Coyote Lounge. Are you interested in signing up for line dance lessons?" She smiled curtly, "Lessons for today are just about over, but it's never to late to sign up." God smiled at her, "Where should I sign up?" Selene smiled at him, "Just give me one second and I shall get you your registration paper and a pen for you to fill out." She turned to leave him making her way into the office. It wasn't long when Lucifer barged in the bar and let out a sigh of relief, "Ah. There you are, Dad." God turned around to see Lucifer, "I had a feeling I find you here. What ever you're up to, Dad, Don't. Michael already messed with her head, I don't need you doing the same." Lucifer said trying to not make a scene.

God looked at Lucifer, "How did you know I would be here?" Lucifer rolled his eyes, "Amenadiel called looking for you. I thought you would have gone back to spend time with your favorite son. Just, what are yo-" Lucifer was cut off from the sound of Selene's voice. "Lucifer? What brings you here?" She said holding a clipboard. "Hello, Selene. May I speak to you?" Selene was slightly puzzled then nodded, "Uh, sure, just let me take care of this gentlemen right here." She turned to God and handed him the clipboard. "Here you go sir, just to let you know first few classes are free for beginners, how ever if you decide on continuing the lesson's it's $15.00 a week." She smiled and Lucifer ushered her off away from his dad.

"Are you ok, Luce?" Selene asked concerned, "I mean, after the things you have said to me last night. You left me more then just my hurt feelings, what you said is what confused me. What on earth do you mean by you being like you're father and this incapable of love nonsense?" Lucifer felt bad the fact Selene wasn't aware of God being on Earth. "Dad arrived yesterday. Bad enough Michael had to get involved, now Dad." It didn't take Selene to register when she nodded, "Oh." Soon as she realized it her eyes nearly popped out, "Wait, Your Dad? God's here? On Earth? Why didn't you tell me!" She said in a hush tone.

"Well, for starters, I'm looking out for you. I don't know why Dad's on Earth. Quite frankly I can't wait till he bloody leave's, I don't want him messing with your head. Bad enough Michael has." Selene sighed and shook her head. "You know, Lucifer, you wouldn't know a golden opportunity if it fell in your lap. Your dad is here, this is a good thing you know, now's the perfect time to actually get to talk. It's been long over due, Lucifer, and you know it." She said as Lucifer rolled his eyes. "Lucifer. I'm serious. You won't get another chance, trust me, I didn't want anything to do with my Dad when he came back in my life, but point is, there must be a reason he's come here, don't let this chance slip away or you will regret it."

Selene walked away leaving Lucifer to think, "Hello. Is everything alright sir." She noticed God seemed kind of spaced out, "Hmm, Oh, Yes. My apologies I couldn't fill it all out." he handed back the clipboard, "Oh. That's ok. You're welcome here anytime, I do hope you will come see the show tonight." God nodded, "I look forward to it. I'm glad to meet you finally, Selene Haywood." Selene was a little surprised by this man knowing her name, Lucifer panicked slightly worried his Dad was going to reveal himself to her. "How do-? Oh.. silly me. You must a fan" God tilted his head a little, "You could say that." Selene smiled as she couldn't help but get a strange sense of something familiar, but she just couldn't place it.

Selene snapped out of her thoughts, "Oh, My apologies, I should get back to work, rehearsals and all. I will see you tomorrow morning at 11." When Selene wasn't looking Lucifer hurried his dad out of the bar, to take Selene's advice and try to get along with his dad. Later on that night, God made a appearance at Selene's bar again, he was determined to get a chance to have a nice conversation, one he knew would get her attention.

Selene was dancing and singing as the band played, when she had that strange sense again, then saw the man from earlier walking up to the bar. Selene finished her song and made her way back to the bar, happy to take the new guest's order, "Hello. I'm glad you could make it out tonight. What can I get you?" God looked at her with a straight face, "Actually, I'm here to see you. I would like to have a word with you, if you are able." Selene looked at him curiously.

"Well, you are right on time, I'm just going on my break. Follow me, I know a place we can talk." God was pleased at the chance to talk. He followed her to the backroom, "Oh, I hope you don't mind I light up, If the smoking bother's you, I will respect you're wishes." Selene said opening the room up and let him enter. "Thank you, Selene, for taking the time to speak to you." God said as Selene pulled out a cigarette to light up, "No problem. So, What can I help you with?" God was silent for a moment, "I was wondering how I could connect with my son again. I can't help but think I must be doing something wrong."

Selene took a drag of her lit cigarette," Hmm. I don't know what to tell you there. I'm sure you are not doing anything wrong, but try talking to him, I mean really talking to him, heart to heart, see what happens." God took the time to let her words sink in, Selene went into her personal stash of liquor and pulled out a mason jar, "Would you like a drink?" she asked opening up the jar and pulled out a spare silicone glass. God watched Selene pour them a drink, "Dose it work? This heart to heart talk. I seen the way you talk to my son, what ever you had said seemed to make a difference."

Selene was about to pour the second glass after ashing her cigarette when she froze, " Talk to your-" She recalled what Lucifer said God was on earth, and just realized God was before her right now the whole time. "G...God?" she slowly turned around to face God and he just smiled at her. "I'm glad to finally meet you, my dear, I know you have been taking such good care of my son." He said as Selene blushed a little and got a bit flustered, "Oh, well... I- Lucifer isn't the easiest to understand. But, he's just being him."

God nodded an then pointed to her mason Jar, "What kind of drink is that?" Selene looked at what he pointed to, "Oh, uh Apple Pie Moonshine whiskey. My family has a distillery and we make wine, and whiskey." She hesitated to finish pouring him a glass, and then handed it to him. God took a taste of it and the sound was a pleasant sound, "hmm, tastes like apple pie. Delicious." Selene sat down pleased to hear God liked her drink. So much was running in her head she had so many questions to ask him, but she hesitated because she was waiting on him to just say what she was thinking.

"I in fact do have the answer's you seek. I'm staying on earth for a while and spend time with my son's and my grandson, but all in due time I will answer all your questions." Selene nodded and took a drag of her cigarette, "So, tell me about this heart to heart talk?" Selene stared at God like a deer in headlights as she couldn't get over the fact that God is here for real on Earth, but something nagged at her there was something wrong with him, as she explained things to him.

The next morning God had made breakfast while Lucifer was sleeping off the night of drinking. Lucifer was stark naked facedown when God walked over and greeted his son, "Morning." Lucifer barely opened his eyes and realized his dad was right there looking down at his naked body, "Dad!" Lucifer jumps grabbing the pillow to cover up. "Made you breakfast." Lucifer was starting to regret taking Selene's advice, "Dad, boundaries." God scoffed at his son, "Oh, please! You think this is the first time I've seen you naked? in fact if I had a nickle for every time I've seen a naked body in this room, on this couch, on that desk, on the banister, on the floor, on the piano..."

Lucifer sighed and motioned him to give him his breakfast, "Just give me the tray, Dad." God looked at his son with a smile, "Try the coffee." Lucifer huffed lightly and picked up the coffee, and took a sip. Lucifer made a face trying to not disappoint his father, "What do you think?" God asked Lucifer as Lucifer didn't sound like he hated it, "Oh, it's a little bitter. Where'd you get it?"

God smiled with delight, "Bolivia. I picked it up this morning. Single source, organic. A wonderful farmer , aptly named Jesus. Had this unique roasting method-" Lucifer cut his dad off, "Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine! It's incredible ok? You win!" God looked at Lucifer with disappointment of his sons behavior. "Son. I'm not trying to win. I just want what's best for you. What's wrong with that?" Lucifer let out a sigh, "Nothing. You're right. I'm sorry... and thank you for the coffee." he said with a smile.

God smiled as he was excited to spend another day working with Lucifer, "So, when do we go back to work?" Lucifer gave his dad a look, "I'm going now, actually, Dad, but I think you should take the day off. You know, rest, chill." God nodded at his son, "Yeah, I usually chill after 6 days of work. Besides what else would I do?" Lucifer let out a sigh, "I don't know, Dad. Don't you have other children to harass? I mean... visit"

"Well, I did meet with Selene again last night." Lucifer looked at his father forgetting the fact he was naked for a moment, "You what?! Dad, please tell me you didn't melt her brain, Selene's been though enough of our celestial family's squabble. Michael manipulated her and held her prisoner! She was perfectly fine till he came around, and bloody told her she was a half mortal present to me!" Lucifer said sounding quite upset, God looked at him confused. "That's not entirely true, I will have words with Michael. The idea of her being a present to you is complete ludacris."

Lucifer stared down his father, "Tell me, Dad. Just what is Selene? Is she Asariel 2.0?" God sighed, "She is a fae just like Asariel was just more human, but if you really wanna know, she is both, and her own person not some replica. It's also important on how you see her son." Lucifer was stunned by his father's casual response openly telling him Selene is human, yet he got the hint she is a celestial. "Although, I'm impressed her power's are developing quite well. I even understand why you like her so much, she shines like a brilliant diamond in the spotlight."

Lucifer couldn't agree more, but he was worried for her reaction, he knew he was doing wrong by her, keeping her from knowing what she was. He sighed and got ready for work he had to go see Selene later, he texted her to let her know he wishes to meet up.

That after noon Selene was doing rehearsals, when God showed up. Selene was the first to notice as she hasn't told the other's yet, "You're sounding great ladies." God said as Selene smiled stepping off the stage, "Good afternoon. What brings you here?" The girls were wondering why Selene was extra friendly to the gentlemen before them. The guys getting caught up cleaning the kitchen, and part of the band gave them looks. Selene noticed the strange look she was getting but kept smiling at God, "I was hoping you would like to go out to Lunch with me." God said with a warm smile.

Selene smiled at him, "Lunch? Um, yeah. But don't you want to spend time with you're new grandson?" God smiled, "I do intend on doing so, I am here to see my family, and as far as I'm concerned you are a part of my family." Aly spoke up when they over herd, "Sel, who is this man and why is he asking you out to lunch?", the girls wanted to know, lucky for them there was no customers, and since they know her secret, Selene smiled.

"Guys, let's not be rude in front of our important guest. Everyone, this is Lucifer's and Amenadiel's Father, God." Selene introduced as God smiled, "It's nice to meet you all, my children." They all went ghost white in shock that God himself was before them all. God looked at them, "I hope you don't mind If I take Selene for a while." The shocked friends and family of Selene's didn't respond because they were far too shocked over God's appearance.

Before Selene could even ask a question God had vanished with Selene in tow, leaving everyone highly stunned. God and Selene appeared back at her ranch, Selene looked with confusion why God brought her back to her house. "I was going to take you somewhere special, but I think a nice home cooked lunch and a much more private place to talk will do." She wasn't surprised that God knew where she lives, "I do intend on taking you somewhere, in due time. I just wish Lucifer would have invited you to family dinner, to make up for that I shall make lunch, why don't you check on your horses out there." Selene was going to protest, but not wanting to offend God, she listened as she did want to check on them, and did a bit of a clean up in the pen.

It was nothing more then a half hour job since she was a bit behind on her chores with cleaning up poop in the yard, God had Lunch ready with Stuffed Portobello mushrooms with gravy on top, and a side of Broccoli, it smelled really good," Ohh, that smells-" God cut he off, "Heavenly?" Selene was starting to see the resemblance now with Lucifer's Father. Selene sat down to God serving her lunch, She took one bite and was amazed at the flavor, "Mmm! Amazing!" Selene was shocked at how much of a great cook God is.

"Selene, I wish to tell you something, I know you have questions, I have answers. Let have a normal conversation, and I'll pretend I don't know what your questions are." Selene nodded and she had to think of a question to start asking. "Ok, then. What is the purpose of my existence? Is Michael right about me, being a present for Lucifer?", God let out a sigh, "No. You are not a present. As all knowing as I am, I didn't expect for you two to even be a couple. I take no part in the matchmaking. It's all your own doing, no strings attached."

Selene was relived to hear that, she felt the words were much more truthful because they are from God himself. "You were made to keep the peace and balance, naturally, when she was killed, I took over, but over time, I can't do what she was able to, but keep the moon shining. So, I had to make you." Selene was sensing something from God and she was starting to understand by the look in his eye.

"But, that's not all you were meant to be. You see, I like your thinking, the idea of Humans Angel's co existing together, for centuries when I created humanity, I wanted to let my Children meet with humanity, when I felt the time was right, but... I'm sure you understand how well that turned out." Selene frowned at the story, "L- Samael ended up rebelling ruining your plan to slowly introduce us." She said plainly, God shrugged, "More or less 'delayed' until now." God had a idea up his sleeve with his tone, "So, I'm like the celestial peace keeper?" she asked.

God made a face, that Selene took as a yes, wich ment her sences were right, something big was about to happen. She took a deep breath, "Ok, So...Am I human? or am I something else entirely?" God looked quite serious, "I actually you're a fae, and not the easiest creation to make, although, it was a fun challenge for me. Of course, you have alot to discover yet."

Selene was much more relaxed down, "So I'm a fae... Do I.. Do I have wings?"

God gave her a look, " That's something you need to discover on your own." Selene sighed mentally. She was starting to understand when she herd he was quite cryptic. Another wave a relief washed over her finally knowing some answers about herself, but she couldn't help but wonder what his plan is. "Well, Thank you so much for the lunch, um, do you mind taking me back? I have no other way back to the bar.", Selene felt embarrassed to ask, she had something to process now about being a human fae, and that her feelings for Lucifer are real and her own feelings, no strings attached. God smiled and happily took her back to the bar then left.

That night Lucifer stopped by the bar after his suit jacket burned from their latest case. Lucky for him Selene was there to serve him, "Good evening, Selene." Lucifer said as Selene turned around, "Oh, Lucifer. How are you doing with your dad?", Lucifer let out a heavy exasperated sigh, "I've come to realize that dear old dad of mine, is never going to change." Selene gave Lucifer a confused look pouring him a drink. "And that's a bad thing? He's exactly as you remember him. Besides it's only been like what? a day? Lucifer you can't expect things to be fixed in a night."

"I'm not sure if there are enough nights to make amends. I think we are simply just too far gone, to salvage anything. I beleive I may be too far gone as well." he said softly as the bar wasn't wild at all it was perfect to be able to chat. "I don't beleive that Lucifer. I'm sorry you feel this way, I know you will get past this, it's gonna take time, don't force it, go at it with a open mind." She put her hand on his chest over his heart, "Open your heart to him." Lucifer subcontiously held her hand that was on his chest, chugged his drink in one gulp.

Lucifer sighed before moving her hand off of him, he could feel she was trying to make him feel better, but he couldn't even have the heart to stay and see her. Selene watched Lucifer leave and leaned against the back of the bar counter top and sighed. She just wished she could understand Lucifer more, to help him, but she couldn't help but feel helpless to help Lucifer, "Maybe your dad was right, perhaps you're blinded by your own light after all." She whispered under her breath, then got back to work on such a slow night.

Lucifer arrived up in his penthouse, he walked over to the bar and poured himself a drink. God walked to Lucifer from the balcony, "How was your day son?" Lucifer sighed putting his jakcket down, he still had a burnt long sleeve, "Incendairy. How was yours?" God had a stoic expression, "Really good. I took your advice and went to see Amenadiel. He's gonna be a really wonderful father. I also had a nice lunch with Selene, I see why you enjoy being around her." God said as he watched Lucifer drown a drink.

"Sama-," God hesitated remembering what Selene had told him about heart to heart talk, "Lucifer. I want to..." He paused hesitating to speak when he noticed Lucifer's burnt sleeve. "...know what you did to your suit." Lucifer rolled his eyes and huffed, "Oh, don't suddenly pretend you're not omnipotent. But if you wanna make fashion small talk, I had a run in with a lady. We had bad chemistry." God looked at his son, his mind was in war if he should just tell Lucifer what's going on.

"Well, I'm glad you're ok." Lucifer sat his glass down, "How could I not be, Dad? No one could hurt me remember? I am dandy. Just perfect. Completely unscathed, and forever invulnerable." God wasn't quite understanding his son, but surely there was a hint of something, "I definitely believe this is one of those times when you say one thing and mean another." Both of them wanted to take Selene's advice, knowing it could just do more harm then good if at all.

"You know.. it was bad enough, rejecting me, forcing me down to Hell." Lucifer walked over to his father, "But I had a life here. I had a good thing! Selene, she... she made me feel things I...things I never even thought about.. or even realized was even there. Being vulnerable, was terrifying, yet, thrilling experience. Because for the first time, in my long hopeless life, I finally have- I- I felt something. " Lucifer was slowly letting his emotions slip in front of his father.

"And then you turned up and you- you- you ruin it! You throw it all away. Why?" He broke down to his knees sniffling, God placed his hand oh his head, " Oh, my son, the Light Bringer. So full of light...that it blind's even you sometimes." Lucifer took a breath looking up at God, "What dose that even mean?" Lucifer asked. God looked at his son, "It means I understand...that you're angry at me. And I'm so very sorry about that."

Lucifer looked up at his father, "So, you're sorry for me, but you're not sorry for what you've done." God sighed looking down at his son, "I didn't say that. But I will say that I cannot fix you, Lucifer." Lucifer looked up still down on one knee before God. "But, you're God." God stared down his son staying quiet, Lucifer sniffled and then stood back up, "Okay, fine. If you can't fix me, dad, then at least stop trying to control me."

God looked at Lucifer confused on what he meant by that, "How do I control you?" Lucifer snapped at his dad in anger, near tears, "You been making me sing alot today! I mean, it has to stop, Dad." A tear rolled down God's face, "Actually, I... I don't think that's possible." he said with a hint of sadness. Lucifer was pissed off the way it was but tried to not get too emotional he groaned, "Right, well, if you're not gonna try, then I don't know why I should bother."

God knew he had to take the leap as Selene had told him to while having this moment with his son, as Lucifer poured himself a drink, "It's not that I won't. It's that I'm not sure if I can." God sobbed to Lucifer as more tears rolled down his face. Lucifer turned around and scoffed, "What dose that mean?" Lucifer saw his dad was crying before him, "My powers, son. I think I'm loosing control of them." God felt relived to finally let his secret out as more tears fell.

Lucifer became very concerned for his Dad's confession, he was trying to register just what his dad had said, this was something he didn't expect. He was at a loss for words, his lip quivered he wanted to say something but his brain betrayed him, "Dad?"
