The next morning Selene was doing her normal daily chores, her mind was still adjusting to the fact that she's fae, that she spent most of the night doing mythological research and references. She was feeling somewhat weightless knowing the truth of who she is this entire time. What she was more curious about were what were wings were going to look like, then her mind flashed back to the vision of herself with her own wings.

The only question in her mind was how was she going to see them in person, she wondered if it was a self actualization process she seen Lucifer go though before. But if they were a part of her meaning she could probably do it too. She sighed as she finished up her chores for the day and decided to get into baking some treats to take over to Lucifer after work, even make a few extra should she bump into God.

Selene got cleaned up before getting preperations done, she threw on some music to listen and sing along to. She cleaned up her counter before beginning to pull out everything she was going to need. As she was in the process of mixing, Selene realized she's gonna need to spend time adjusting to her new powers. She took the time to refect, the fact she's 25 years old, she has alot of responsibility to balance, Her bar and lux, her powers, her horses, home, and Lucifer.

A chuckle escaped her lips in realizing she has normal human problems but far too much responsibility for a 25 year old, that should just been a party girl even outside of work non stop. She began to imagine life if she didn't get this malibu ranch, brought her horses here, if she never did the rodeo, she wouldn't be in such a mess. Selene's ring tone began going off and it was a video call from her dad she quickly answered.

"Hi dad." She smiled holding the bowl of batter, "Hi sweet peach, How are you doing? Anythng new happen?" Her dad asked as she was working on rolling the cookies, "I'm just about to bake some cookies, I got a big shocker for you Dad. I met God himself. He's actually here on earth still, most likely with Lucifer." John looked quite shocked to hear God was on earth. "...…Wow..., so, ... did you get answers?" Selene nodded at her dad, "Yeah. I'm Fae." John took a bit to register what she had said.

"Fae?... So you're a fairy?" Selene nodded as she continued to roll the dough. "We, will keep that little tidbit to ourselves, you know your mamaw has a love for fairies." Selene forgot about that and nodded in agreement, "Yeaahh let's not tell her that." Selene herd the oven was ready as she slipped the first batch in once ready to go in. "How's everyone back home?" Selene was able to give her dad her full attention on the chat, "We're all great here, business is steady, all the horses are going alot better, we managed to rehome a few abandoned horses brought to us, we also want you and Lucifer to come fly out for a visit. We mainly miss you but we did appreciate Lucifer's help around here."

Selene smiled at her dad, I'll talk to Lucifer about it but right now Lucifer, is kinda trying to get use to his dad, who is God if you know your bible history, around." John's tone changed, "Is everything alright? What's God like?", She thought about it for a moment, "Well, when Amenadiel and Lucifer talked about their dad, I learned from experience, that he is cryptic. Very polite. Um, and I had a nice lunch wit- well, God made me lunch and trust me I felt out of place in his presence."

Selene sighed, "I mean, don't get me wrong, he treats me like family, I can't even place judgement... well because he's God. Lately I have been feeling kinda not all together as of late, I'm stuck part of the most dysfunctional family in existence. Baby Charlie is getting big can't believe how much time has passed since it was just 2 months ago he was born. And I feel like it's time I think about, stepping down from working once in a while, and focus on my power's, and my horses. I mean I'm burning out I don't feel like I sleep much, Dad."

John let out a humm, "You sure looking like you're not sleeping much, I do love you, It's time you took time to take care of yourself, you have had a successful life, if you wanna step back and appreciate not working go ahead, you deserve it for all the hard work in your life. I know I wasn't the best father, I do wish Lucifer luck getting along with his father, he need's his closure." Selene grabbed her cigarette's and lit one, "Ain't that the truth. Oh, speaking of the Lucifer, I met one of his siblings... and not in the best of circumstances..." John was looking worried, "Which one and what do you mean?"

Selene let out a sigh with a puff of smoke, "Well, I leaned the hard way, that Lucifer has a identical twin brother, his name is Michael. While Lucifer was in hell, Michael dropped in and impersonated him...and well.. yeah. But I did have fun punishing him for screwing with my head and heart, pretending to be Lucifer, but I'm kinda worried he's still up to something." She explained as her dad made a face, "I'm sorry to hear that baby, I hope Lucifer knows your innocent in this case."

Selene nodded, "Of course. Lucifer doesn't blame me it was all Michael's fault. I still can't believe I stood up to a archangel, no less the one responsible sending Lucifer down to Hell." John smiled with pride, "That's good. I'm going to let you go, I know you got thing's to do, so do I. We all love and miss you." Selene was puffing on her cigarette, with a nod, "Okay. tell everyone I love and miss them too, I'll try to talk to Lucifer about visiting, once the celestial family chaos calms down." John waved at his daughter before hanging up.

That afternoon after Selene finished baking and packed up some cookies, she got a text message from Lucifer, asking her to come to his penthouse. Without a second thought she did so grabbing everything she needed she hurried over to Lucifer's. Once she parked, she wasted no time rushing her way to the elevator, got on it and rode it to the top. The elevator dinged opening up to the penthouse, "Lucifer I got your tex-" she saw God had a busted lip and something wasn't right, "Oh... God? What happened to you, are you alright?" Selene went over to god to check him out.

"Dad, thought he could be helpful on a sting operation, unfortunately it was going well, then it backfired. Oh and the best part, Dad has made himself human." Selene looked at Lucifer, "I'm glad you were with him, Luce. This could have been a lot worse, I wish you brought him to me at my place, you know I'm off today." Selene took the liberty of healing God's busted lip.

"Thank you my dear." God said feeling much better. Lucifer was in the mood to interrogate his father on where his powers at. "Okay, Dad, where are your powers?" lucifer asked firmly, " I really don't remember." God admitted, as Selene was quite concerned with God. "But I'm sure I left them somewhere safe." Lucifer huffed, "Well, If you don't remember where they are, how can you be sure their safe? What if something happens to them. What if something happens to you?" Lucifer ranted. "Dose the universe collapse into nothingness, destroying everything and everyone I care about?"

Selene sat by God and tried to play mediator, "Lucifer, calm down. There's no need to get worked up about this. Yes, your father is now mortal and almost got killed, but still." God was looking at his son strangely pouring a drink for Selene and then himself, "Your face, Lucifer. the one you used in Hell. In person, it really is quite intense." Selene gave Lucifer a look about his devil face, wondering that it got that serious for him to just reveal it in front of God.

(Selene POV thoughts)

This is not good. God is without his powers! What's worse, he can't remember what he did with them. This is seriously bad. I'm not surprised by this, considering God's age, I think he might have a case of dementia, at least very early onset of something, forgetfulness is how it starts before they mentally go down hill.. I hope it's not the case .

So much for my day off being a relaxing day.

(Selene POV thoughts end)

Lucifer put his glass down on the table looking at his father, "Are you seriously about to critique the way I looked while saving your life? Because if so, pardon my resting Devil face." Selene slightly cringed at Lucifer's tone with his father. "Why did you choose that face?" God asked softly. "Deep down, that face is how you see yourself." God spoke to Lucifer, Selene was confused on what was going on, she was feeling the tension between them.

Selene got up and walked over to Lucifer, God began to observe the way they are together, "Lucifer." Selene put her hand on him to help calm him down, "Why don't you go back to work, I'll spend the day with your dad. He's mortal anyway how much trouble can he be?" Selene offered Lucifer a break from his dad. "I wouldn't want you to waste your day off babysitting my dad. But since you are offering, I will make things up to you for everything. I should get back to the detective see if we got any leads." he said.

"It's no trouble I have nothing better to do, I did bake cookies. Other then that I'm free and maybe be able to get to spend time together." She said feeling hopeful to get to spend time with Lucifer, she was missing their date night and his company. "I would like nothing more to be able to spend time with you, thank you." He leaned in and kissed her just as she turned away leaving him to kiss her cheek.

It was a bit of a awkward reaction, "Oh.. sorry... I wasn't sure where we- um..so embarrassing" she muttered the last part to herself. Lucifer began to apologize, "No, no I wasn't thinking...I shouldn't have..." Lucifer ended up tongue tied and Selene stopped him with a finger, "Lucifer just go, get going off to work with you. Don't turn yourself into what most kids get around fathers, trust me you don't want to take on the reversal role of helicopter parent." She playfully smacked his but and pushed him to the elevator.

Lucifer looked at her gobsmacked she was kicking him out of the penthouse. Selene smiled as she looked at the now passed out God, she made herself at home keeping a eye on him. Her mind was wondering what Asariel was like, when she was alive, she remembered bits and pieces of knowing she was the light of the moon. The thing she just didn't know was what she was going to be known as, dose she inherit her former titles? She scoffed at the irony of her name when she thought about it making her shake her head.

(Selene's POV thoughts)

Okay, I guess I can find humor in this irony that my life has become now. Something is going on inside God's head, now that he's mortal he can't foresee everything I wanna say. But... I just remembered I also had a opportunity to be fully human... I don't even know what I want anymore. I wanna be human, but I like the idea of being Fae and I gotten use to having powers but... this is so tough, what am I going to do?

(Selene's POV thoughts end)

After a hour of reflecting and thinking God woke up and noticed Lucifer was gone, "Lucifer?" He called out tiredly, "Ohh my head..." Selene turned around and smiled at God, "Lucifer, went back to work, I stayed to keep you company." She walked over to where she left her bag and pulled out a baggie of cookies. She brought some over to God, "I made cookies today, I made sure I made enough to give to you." God smiled when she brought him cookies.

"My head hurt's, my jaw still hurt's too." Selene had a gentle smile, "You had your first experience of what we humans suffer a lot, pain. The downfall of being human." God recalled the moment the colonel struck him, "Right." God said as Selene looked at him with concern, "God. I know becoming human was a great idea at the time, but I hate to say it... for your sake, we should start retracing your steps on everywhere you been to find out where you hid them." Selene put her hand on his she could feel his emotions.

"Has this ever happened before? Forgetting things?" God's expression changed as he thought about it, "Well, I may have seem to been slipping here and there adjusting to the mortal plane." Selene hummed trying to read God. "I suppose considering you are God and all, a glitch or two isn't bad...but are you sure it's safe?" God tilted his head as he wasn't sure himself, A gut feeling was throbbing in her stomach she was seeing the signs and she was going to need figure out how to tell Lucifer and Amenadiel.

A idea popped into her head, "This is going to sound quite awkward, but, come with me, I think we could use a nature walk." Selene smiled at him and helped him off the piano seat. "Nature walk?" Selene nodded leading God out of the penthouse, to her jeep and helped him in. Selene drove off back to her place, to get her horses loaded up for a walk.

When they arrived at Selene's favorite trail, she unloaded the horses, "This lovely girl here is Nilla, and this is Hershey, who would you like to ride? Don't worry they are very gentle they won't buck you off." God looked at Selene quite confused, "They are really majestic creatures up close. I have been watching you raise these creatures, helping them when in need, even if it was dangerous." Selene smiled in agreement, "Yes, they are."

Nilla snorts shaking her head making Selene respond, "Oh, stop you're beautiful Vanilla Bean. That's her full name, because she ate my vanilla bean flavored ice cream on me when I was by the horses for auction." Selene turned to Hershey, "So are you Hershey Kisses, my handsome colt." God smiled, "I think I will take Nilla."

Selene smiled happily and helped him get on, "There you go all set." She smiled and mounted her horse Hershey, Selene clicked her tongue and signaled Nilla to follow, "Just relax and let Nilla do all the work for you, just hold on to the reigns like I am." God was a little weary with the height, then started to chuckle, "You know this ain't so bad after all." Selene smiled at him, "I knew you would like this, Lucifer actually enjoys riding horses, but I'm sure you been watching and know Lucifer had fun cattle rustling."

God smiled clearly starting to enjoy himself, "Ah, yes. I remember." Selene took a moment to think how to word things to him. "God, if I may ask, if their is a reason, you have chosen this point after Michael's little mischief fun you decided to take the time to come visit?" God was silent for a while, "Look, I'm glad you are here on earth, and you and Lucifer are communicating, which is good, but if you're here with a much bigger poupous you need to tell them."

God sighed and nodded, "I will, But I'd like to talk about you and Lucifer." Selene fell silent but had her head held high like a strong cowgirl, she had a feeling this talk was coming eventually. Selene just smiled at God as they rode though the trail, "Okay, what would you like to know?" She asked giving Hershey some loving. "I noticed some tension between you two? Did something happen?" Selene frowned at the question, she wasn't sure of the answer herself.

"Oh? I guess I haven't really noticed. Lucifer and I have been quite busy, and a lot's has been going on as you already are aware of the recent events. Michaels visit and the trouble he caused has been a bit of a whirlwind on us getting time together." Selene admitted. She had to think her words carefully with the next thing she want's to say, "All I wanted was just to get to spend a little time with Lucifer, but honestly now that I think about it... if Michael never impersonated him Lucifer wouldn't have needed a reason to leave Hell, I could have moved on, but I guess I can't be too mad with Michael... ok I'm a teeny bit less upset with him I don't regret hurting him, he did play with my feelings."

God nodded, "Do not worry yourself, it was justified." Selene was at a loss for words, "I do love Lucifer, I'm happy that he doesn't need to go back to hell, I was really hoping to be able to get back into our normal peaceful life, but...I donno what is going though his head, he's... " Selene took a deep breath trying to not give the issue away, "I wanna say he's double guessing himself, but I know what ever it is, we will get though it together."

God looked down, "I suppose I can admit I have been doing alot of reflecting, on my parenting, I don't think I have done things right with Lucifer. So I guess, the way he is is all my fault, I always wondered what I could have done differently with him. As a father I just want what's best for my son, I want him to make sure that he is truly happy." Selene grinned as they spent the afternoon riding and talking before heading back to her jeep. Selene loaded up the horses and she took them back home safe and sound.

"I must thank you for the most wonderful day ever I'm starting to feel much better other then my children I don't talk to anyone much about anything. I enjoy our conversation It was enlightening." God smiled enjoying the ride back to her place. Two hours after getting back to her place and getting the horses back to relax, Selene had cooked for God for a change, she was having some sort of Deja vu with the back and forth gestures like how she and Lucifer were the thought made her open her eyes even more then it was.

Before Selene knew it the sun was almost fully set as Dusk settled in, it wasn't long after noticing the time Selene's phone started going off the hook with text's. The text's were from Lucifer and Amenadiel asking for their father's whereabouts, Selene frowned and then turned to god Who was enjoying some cookies. "Hey, um how about we get you home, I'm sure Lucifer will be there with your powers."

The word home rang a bell in God's head, "Oh! that's right I remember now, Please, take me home. I'm ready to take back my powers." Selene nodded and took him back home once he had told her on the way there to take him to Linda's house. Selene was slightly confused but she didn't object to his wish, she took him there. When they arrived Lucifer's car was outside meaning he was here too, God and Selene got out and went inside only to hear Lucifer and Amenadiel arguing over God.

"Who's afraid?" God ask standing in the doorway Selene was with him, "Dad! where have you... Selene." Lucifer saw her and stopped his behavior and looked at god, "You can't just run off like that! Do you have any idea what you have put us though?" Selene stepped forward behind God, "Don't worry Luce, he's been with me all day. We had a good day together."

"I'm starting to understand. But not to worry, everything's going to be just fine." Linda came home with Charlie, God smiled at the sight of his precious grandson. Lucifer watched God approach Charlie, "I hope by 'fine' you mean you've managed to locate the power to create and destroy the universe, that you lost because you were busy drinking a gulpee."

Linda was confused on what was going on and God was slightly amused towards Lucifer, "Well, I have remembered where I put my powers, yes." God turned back to Charlie, "Thank you for holding onto this for me, Charlie." God took back the toy Charlie had and began to glow as his powers returned to him. Selene watched in awe of God getting his power back then it completely hit her that he was in her one dream.

"Well, Um, I should head on out." She walked over to give Charlie a hug and kiss then looked at Lucifer, "Good night, Luce." she gave him a sad but soft warm smile before leaving.

Later that night, God, Lucifer and Amenadiel were in the penthouse, as glasses clinked and enjoyed a drink together. "I'm gonna miss the buzz." God said as Lucifer had to retort, "You're all powerful again, Dad, so can't you just buzz yourself?" God let out a chuckle. He took a deep breath and then proceeded to sit down, "We need to talk." he spoke with a serious tone.

The boy's looked at each other then back to God as they sat down. "Okay. Father, what is it?" Amenadiel asked giving their father their full attention. "Lucifer was right." Lucifer was shocked to hear that come from God, "Twice in one millennium. Will wonders never cease?" Amenadiel gave Lucifer a look before looking back to God, "It's not just the music. Or the fact that I misplaced my powers. The truth is, I've been slipping for quite a while. For longer then I'd like to admit. I guess you get your denial from your father." he said looking at Lucifer.

Lucifer slightly took offence to that, "What denial?" God gave him a look and chuckled, "Kidding. Mostly." Lucifer looked at his dad as he leaned over to grab his drink. "Now, let's just keep this between the three of us, for now. Shall we?" They gave God a strange look like they didn't understand what was going on. Amenadiel spoke up for the both of them, "Father, what are you saying?"

God looked at both his boy's following Selene's advice he had to tell them the truth, "I think it's time." Lucifer was just about to have a drink confused, "Time for what?" God looked at his son's with a straight face. God knew this was bound to have to happen eventually, as much as it is the hardest decision for God to make, "Time for me to retire." The brother's looked at each other speechless of the news, before the could ask their dad further he vanished.
