The next day was quite peaceful for Selene, she was busting her ass keeping up with her work life, but what she wanted more was a date life with Lucifer. Just the two of them, alone together. She was slowly growing impatient with Lucifer not responding to her admittance of her love for him, and she didn't want to push the matter on him again.

With a big sigh she finished her daily chores and took a bit of relaxation time. She walked past a photo of her mom when entering the Livingroom. She smiled at the picture, and tucked her hair behind her new pointed ears. She was alone so it didn't matter what she looked like, it wasn't a complete change, besides the amount of divine power was coursing though her veins. So many thought's were running though her head about her future, she didn't know if she was going to keep being a entertainer, or just walk out of the spotlight completely.

She remembered how it felt to have more time to herself, because she couldn't speak, it made her do alot of thinking. It was truly time for her to settle down and take a permanent work vacation. She had to put her horses first, as well as keeping up with her own laundry, which she realized she had seriously been lacking on doing. She decided it was time to get everything she needed out and have herself a spa day.

In the middle of getting everything she needed out and ready, there was a knock on her door. She was alittle confused as she wasn't expecting anyone, she even checked her phone. She gave credit to whomever was at the door on timing. When she got to the door and opened it, there stood God, hands behind his back with a smile, "Good afternoon, Selene."

Selene was surpised to see God, It sill felt weird to have God as a guest in her home, let alone visit. "Good afternoon, to you as well. Would you like to come in?" She gestured moving aside, God shook his head, "Actually, I came to see if you would like to come with me." Selene was a little confused on where God wanted to take her.

"Uh, ok. Where are we going?" she asked curious. God grinned, "It's a surprise. You could say.. it's something I would like to do for you, as a thank you for helping me." Selene didn't know how to feel about it, she did feel quite honored God for whatever his surprise could be. "Well, you're lucky you caught me at a good time. I have nothing going on for myself otherwise so I got the day to spend."

God was pleased to hear her accept his offer, "I must warn you, it's going to feel alittle strange for you." Selene thought in the back of her mind about his cryptic nature, she wanted to say something, but before she knew it God had picked her up and took her away. Selene felt the strange feeling God was talking about, she didn't understand as she had closed her eyes the moment they took off from her home.

When they arrived to the destination God had let Selene go, "Open your eyes." Selene opened them and looked around in confusion, the landscape didn't look familiar, but the feeling was quite tranquil resonated with her soul. "Where are we?" She then noticed a familiar looking house, it looked exactly like her family's house. She was entirely confused but her gut was telling her something else.

Selene looked at God wanting to answer then Selene herd a voice, "Hello, my little moonlight." Selene froze in hesitation wanting to ask God again. Slowly, Selene turned around, her eyes widened in complete surprise "Look at you. All grown up. I'm so happy to see you."

Selene stared at her mother she didn't know what to do. Emotions welled up inside her, "M-... Mom?" She choaked back a sob, she realized God was giving her a chance to see her mother again, but she didn't understand why she was still living and in Heaven. "Well, I'm certainly ain't anyone else. Don't I get a hug."

Selene forgot about caring the fact she was still alive and God brought her to Heaven. Selene ran up to give her mom a big hug not caring how or why it's possible, but it was the best feeling in the world for her. "Have no fear, none of my children know about this or can see us, I made sure to make thing's private and peaceful moment for you two."

Selene was in tears of joy hugging her mom, "This is the best gift I could ever ask for." Selene smiled as they broke the hug, "I've missed you so much, everyone has. I'm sorry you died because of me mom. I didn't want that." She wipes the tears from her eyes. Katerina smiled and gave her a kiss on the forehead, "I've missed you too baby, it's alright we did the right thing for Shadow. I'm so proud of everything you've accomplished."

Selene couldn't believe her mom looked the same as she did when she died, "I know. Amenadiel told me. There's so much I want to talk to you about... is jack here?" her mother chuckled smiling, "Don't worry, Jack found his way too me, Tori is around, she visit's time to time. You get use to this place after a while." Selene smiled happily knowing her horse was here, " I know time run's differently here, so I got plenty to say."

Meanwhile on Earth, Lucifer was taking sometime while making sure everything was going according to plan with his revenge prank on Dan. He looked at his watch and knew he had to get going to meet up with Selene's cousin's, when they ended up reminding him about his plan to work on a special memorable engagement plan. After all the crazy things that happened he forgotten about his plan to propose to Selene.

Deep down he still wanted to do it, he needed a distraction from the fact God is retiring. He's had plenty of time to reflect on the state of his relationship with Selene. Part of him was worried about Maze as well, had she not betrayed him again, still part of him did understand this time. For now, Lucifer wanted to focus on making things right with Selene, and salvage their relationship.

When he got to the bar, the girls greeted him, "Good afternoon, Lucifer. We weren't sure if you were going to show up, due to the circumstances you both are in with each other." Aly said. Dawn stepped up, "We, also wanted to take the liberty of spending some time with you, Selene's not around so it makes things work."

"Ah, well, I wouldn't want nothing more to be able to go along with the plan. Unfortunately things are up in the air right now since dad popped up after all this time." The girls knew he meant God, "Yeah. We met him." Rosie said. Elise smiled and pulled out the lyrics and piano sheet music, "This is the song we found that would be perfect for proposing to Selene with, should you still want to, like you said it's up in the air."

Lucifer took a look to read the words, he was starting to feel the words take hold. "We don't have a Piano, but our keyboard could do, don't worry we don't intend you to play it on the piano when you want to do this. We have a instrumental version, thanks to some fine editing, that will be played, this is just to help you practice singing it." Dawn said with a smile.

"I'll make a note of it to practice. My apologies if I seem to not be all there, My father just dropped a major bombshell on my brother and I. I'm still kind of processing. Has Selene been alright since she's had time with my father?" Lucifer asked curiously, as much as things have been complicated between them he still cared since she probably knows the truth.

"Uh, well, you know Selene. She's her. Processing the answer's God given her." Rosie said looking away like there was something to hide, "I'm sure it's alot for her to take in, I wish I was with her when she found out, I don't need her brain to melt after my brother lied to her. I tried to protect her from answers she wanted." Lucifer said with a hint of guilt, but relived that Selene really was doing fine. He just only wish he could make up his mind with everything that's been going on.

"Don't worry about Selene, Lucifer. She's a workaholic. She's all about hard labor work. She's just going to need time to adjust to process things with the truth." Aly said not knowing if they should say anything, "You two should make more time for each other, perhaps a vacation out of LA for a while, it could help you both reconnect," Dawn suggested, "After everything that's been going on you both need it. And you can't tell us other wise."

The sound of a vacation gave him a idea, he made a mental note to offer up the same for his father, he needed to find some destination spots for his father to go. "What a brilliant idea! It's been so long since I had a vacation. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner." Lucifer beamed. The girls smiled at Lucifer, "So what exactly was the reason why your father showed up on earth anyway?" Aly asked Lucifer.

"Other then being a total thorn in my side, driving me crazy and embarrassing me at work, Dad's reasoning for coming here was to tell us he's retiring as God." Lucifer casually said as Elise was making Lucifer a drink when he told them, and dropped the bottle on the bar in shock. The girls were in complete shock over the news, they weren't sure if Selene knew the news yet. "Should we be worried?" Aly asked as other's were still processing, "If there's no god...then what dose that mean for us? I mean who are we going to pray to?" Rosie asked trying to make sense of the situation.

"Ladies, relax. All will be fine, besides if I know anyone who's worthy and bound to be God, It's going to be Amenadiel." The girls relaxed a little with the idea of Amenadiel being the next God. "Oh...Well, for our sake let's hope he is." Elise said cleaning up her mess of spilled alcohol and passed Lucifer a glass of whiskey. Lucifer took the drink and downed it, "Right. Now, let's see what I'm working with here." Lucifer got up and went over to the keyboard, he sat down and decided to give the new song a try.

Meanwhile in Heaven, Selene was having a good laugh being able to connect with her mom, and hear some stories, all the while of giving Jack attention, She couldn't believe it a living person like herself was sitting up in heaven talking to her dead mother, as if they were both still alive. "I think maybe I made the right choice, moving out to LA. My whole reasoning was that I knew I find love somewhere out in the world. Perhaps, while I was on the road. Instead I settle down in Los Angeles and I finally found great friends, I have my flourishing bar, and I've found love on my own."

"You built a great life for yourself, And I've noticed you crossed path's with you're favorite cousin finally." She knew her mom was referring to Justin. "Least the both of us are keeping the family connection. Now, if only the rest of the family can stop holding a grudge." Selene was feeling the peace within herself, she felt the vibrancy of peace within Heaven. She couldn't be happier to know that her mother was in a safe place, and not tortured by demons. She wasn't even sure how long she was up in heaven, part of her didn't want to leave and just stay to reconnect after such a long time apart.

"Well, I don't see that happening, unless you and Justin can try an break that Ice again. I rather not have you stress over it, you two carry the future of our family's bond, my generation might be broken, but yours doesn't need to be broken."

Selene nodded, " Truth be told I don't even want to leave. I'm finally with you again, mom. But... I know I have to go back, everyone's waiting for me. I'm glad I finally have this opportunity to see you again." Katarina pulled Selene in for a tight embrace. "I'm going to miss you too baby. But it won't be forever, I'll see you again."

God had returned just in time to be able to take Selene home," God. If I may ask... How am I here... in heaven I mean I still got a pulse, unless..." God smiled and finished her sentence, "Unless you have the ability to transverse between planes? You always were able too, you just need wings if you wish to be able to travel between realms, you are a celestial after all."

Selene felt her soul resonate with Heaven, she was beginning to understand why. The soul that once was Asariel, lived here, part of her was still here in memory, but now in a new body. Selene felt like she was positively glowing with how much happiness was filling her heart.

"There is another matter I would like to discuss with you. "God said stoic and firm. Selene was feeling the bliss of seeing her mom, 'Of course. After you done this for me. I can't say no." She smiled as she looked back seeing her horse and her mom together.

"I want to borrow your bar for a family gathering." Selene was taken back by the request from God. She dug into her brain to see if she had anything going on, "Give me two day's time and I'll arrange it." She told him distracted taking in the sight before God took her back to Earth.

When Selene got back to Earth at her home, she had plenty of miss calls, and noticed it was almost 5pm. She began to respond to everyone she was fine, and was going to have a spa day. Her mood was lifted up so high, she was far too happy to let nothing ruin her mood. She spent the rest of the day giving herself a well deserved self care that she had been neglecting. From doing yoga, to sweating her brains out with one of her intense ' sweat your brains out' work out video's to keep fit, then finish off with facial and hair treatment.

Selene couldn't feel any better as the guilt she had carried had disappointed to nothing, she had finally found peace. Her resolve to move on without worry about not getting to make peace with herself. She just needed to find peace in her relationship with Lucifer. Selene went to bed with happy mood as she couldn't wait to go back to work.

The next day Selene woke up in the best glowing mood she could be in, She got a call from Amenadiel, to see how she was doing. She enjoyed having friends that cared so much about her, it added to the warm fuzzy feeling she was still feeling from yesterday's heaven adventure. She was happy to hear from Amenadiel, until she herd the news about what Lucifer had done to Dan.

She mentally kicked herself for not being around to intervene with Lucifer's prank. She shook her head wishing Lucifer would have at least shown some sort of mercy on Dan. When she was done on the phone, Selene couldn't keep focused after the experience she had in Heaven. She needed to take on the next step of her life right now, to do so she needed to go see Lucifer.

Meanwhile at the penthouse, Lucifer was working on a boat in a bottle. He's been hard at work since he fulfilled his plan against Dan was done, he took the time to delve into some hobbies. The elevator dinged and Amenadiel walked out seeing Lucifer working on a project, "What on earth are you doing?" he asked. Lucifer blew him off as he focused on what he was doing, this was starting to annoy Amenadiel, "Enough with these silly distractions, Lucy."

Lucifer stopped what he was doing and looked at Amenadiel, "Excuse me! The impossible bottle is a time- honored craft of which I was recently reminded." Amenadiel stood arm's crossed, he knew his brother was acting stranger then normal since their father's news. "Mm-hmm. And what about the prank you pulled on poor Dan?" He asked Lucifer.

"Very important business. It took week's to plan, and, uh, now that it's over, I think I'm going to learn the French horn. Been meaning to do that." He said while getting up to grab his French horn and started playing off key. "Lucy. Lu- Lucifer!", Amenadiel shouted over his off key playing, finally getting Lucifer's attention to stop, he calmed down to speak. "We need to discuss Father. God might be retiring, Lucy. God. We need to figure out what to do if he dose."

Lucifer sighed knowing all to well this was going to be something to be pestered about, "Oh, that." he put the horn down. "Well, If I have been avoiding something, it's certainly not that. Don't get your feather's in a twist. There's nothing to figure out." Lucifer said walking over to his bar, he poured himself a drink, "So Dad's retiring. He's had quite a run, if you ask me."

"The world can't be without a God." Amenadiel said as Lucifer turned around, "Your right. Somebody will have to replace him. And by somebody, I mean you." he said in midst of making himself a mix drink. "Me?" Amenadiel questioned, "Don't play coy, brother. You've been training for this since you were in angel nappies. God's right hand, the greatest warrior, his bloody favorite son."

Amenadiel took a moment to let his word's sink in, "Well, you're not wrong there." Lucifer was quick to make a comeback, "You have wanted this your whole life." Amenadiel resented that comment, "I've never said that." Lucifer was shaking up the mixture as he began to pour it in a glass, "You don't need to say it, brother. Words are just words. I know how you feel." Lucifer filled up a glass for his brother, picking up the glass to offer to his brother with a smile. "Honey- lemon whiskey sour? I took a mixology course the other day. Variety is the spice of life, you know." Amenadiel shook his head in disbelief taking the drink from Lucifer.

Lucifer was trying out his new drink, his face twisted and puckered at the flavor, not entirely sure if he likes it, "Lucifer. Being God isn't simple. It's... A big job. The biggest. How would I even go about making that decision?" Ameandiel asked as Lucifer finally regained his taste bud's from his drink. "Well, in situations like these when much is at stake, I like to ask myself, 'what's your knee- jerk reaction?, You obviously want this, so leap before you look." he said to Amenadiel.

"Maybe that's how you used to act, but, dear brother, you've changed. Don't pretend otherwise. It's the therapy. Linda has really helped you to be more mindful, to really think things though." Amenadiel gave his brother a playful smack on the arm, Lucifer felt slightly offended, "How dare you! But maybe your right. Therapy has ruined me! I've been over thinking all my decisions when really, the answer's at our feet! 'Just do it.' "he chuckled at his thought.

'Well, not my feet. I'm clearly a Louboutin man, but you know what I mean." Amenadiel shook his head, "Thank you, brother!" Lucifer walked away from him, Amenadiel knew his brother was acting out again, he really wish his brother would pull himself together.

Selene was making her way inside, but instead of going right up to the penthouse, she waited to see if he would drop in at Lux. She walked down the steps and over to the bar, she ordered a stiff drink of liquid courage. Out of nowhere Selene was startled by the sound of a French horn, she turned around and saw Lucifer, holding one. "Sorry, I was on my way to chuck this old thing out. What are you doing here?" he asked her as she straightened herself up.

"Good morning to you too Lucifer." She said slipping off the stool, "Listen, I know I'm trying to be patient with you, Lucifer, but I just want to know if we are on the same page." Lucifer felt off guard with her, he did feel bad for how things went down between them lately. "I wanna know that nothing's changed between us."

Selene had looked Lucifer straight in the eyes hoping for a hint of a answer, "I don't want things to be weird between us since I'm...different..." She took a moment to just let her heart doing the talking, "And for the record this isn't about those words, I mean yes, I want to hear those words directly from you yourself, but It's not important cause I just need to know. Do you want to be with me?"

Lucifer was feeling regretful that he has been neglecting her again, he knew she deserved answers and he had to give her a answer. "Yes." Selene was ready to argue back, "Yes?" She questioned Lucifer held his head up, "Yes. I want to stop overthinking things and make it official ." Selene smiled as she was feeling better now.

She was still surprised by Lucifer wanting this, "Okay." She leaned into to kiss him, letting him drop his horn to hold her tightly to him. What neither of them realized that the top of her ears had turned into a little pointed tip hiding under her loose hair. They were both basking in the bliss of being in each other's embrace, before breaking apart due to Lucifer's phone.

"If you're not doing anything tonight, um, you think you could help me practice a new song, I am going to perform it tomorrow night with Justin, it's a piano ballad. I just need to practice with some notes I haven't done in a long time..." She explained her heart thumping in her ears. Lucifer blinked and nodded after seeing the text that came though his phone, "Yes. I would like to hear this new song myself, I could always use a new song to play."

Selene smiled at him, "Text me when you're off work and I will come over with the sheet music and we will go from there?" Lucifer nodded, "Sounds good to me. I will also order us dinner, it's been far too long since we ate together." Selene chuckled a little, "In deed it has been, we both can really use it." Lucifer nodded and Selene finished off her drink and they walked together hand in hand out of Lux, before going their separate ways.

That afternoon at the Coyote Lounge, Selene was relaxing after working hard on choreography for some tribute movie cover's, wanting to keep things fresh, all the while of being in costume. When Dawn and Aly took noticed something seemed off until Selene tucked her hair behind her ear's showing off her new tiny pointed tip elf like ears. The girls looked at each other before opening their mouth, they walked over to Selene who was starting to work on order's going by the inventory list.

"Hey, Sel. So we were like wondering, have you ever found out the truth about yourself? Considering that you been hanging around God now-" Selene smiled at them giving them her direct attention. "As a matter of fact. I did." Selene stated she took a deep breath, "And Lucifer and I are still together. Officially. He doesn't seem to want to keep overthinking and just be with me."

They gathered around Selene, "Now, I know this news of me, isn't going to change the fact that, my parents are my parents and ya'll are family. I'm still processing the information myself but I am starting to feel like myself again, I'm not human like you all are, I'm Fae." The girls took in the idea of Selene with big fairy wings, some were actually accepting the idea, even the fact that there was a physical changes happening now, "Well, I'm glad that you're- accepting of your new found truth. From God. How's Lucifer dealing with God's presence?" Dawn asked staring at Selene's ear's as were other's.

"Uh...Okay. I guess. They do have some tension, but Lucifer's been putting in effort to connect with his Dad. So, that's a good sign, but I'm a little more worried about God." The girls are looking at her confused. Selene sighed as she put her pen down, "There's something clearly wrong with God, It's not a physical problem. I'm not sure just exactly how much God is aware of the problem he is having, It's just explaining the problem to Amenadiel and Lucifer."

The girls all looked at each other, "Do you think whatever is wrong with God, is it gonna affect humanity?" Selene hummed in thought, taking the time to consider the worst case scenario. "Well, That will all depend on what ever the reason is , So...I just hope he dose come clean with them on his reason to being here.." the girl's wanted to tell Selene the reason they found out, but then hesitate to do so as they took the time to huddle around and whisper.

The girls then walked back around Selene, looking at her as if they were trying to figure her out. Selene downed the last of her drink, cracked her knuckles, then got back to work, Rosie spoke up, "Have you looked at yourself in the mirror today?" Selene paused to look at the girls staring her down in confusion, "No. Why?" Aly blurted it out, "I don't remember you ever having pointy ear's."

Selene felt panic rise in her but she was confused by what they were talking about, "Wha- what pointy ears? I have normal human ear's." She got up to take a look for herself, Iris spoke up," Girl, they look like elf ear's to me." Selene looked in the window and checked herself out and saw her ear's were in fact a little pointed. She wasted to time to used her hair to hide her ear's, her anxiety was starting to kick in, "O-Okay. I...I- I wasn't- I wasn't expecting that..."

Selene began to panic internally, spazzing out over the fact her ears changed shape, she felt thankful she had long thick hair. The pointy tip of her ear was luckily easily hide able they looked like it's just a tiny tringle was added to the top of her ear's. She realized she might need a visit to see Linda for this issue before she let's Lucifer see. If she was never self conscious about her appearance before, now was the time to start.

She hurried back to her work area and grabbed her phone, she dialed Dr Linda and couldn't seem to get a hold of her, "Shit. "She muttered under her breath, "I'll be back I got to talk to Amenadiel." She said texting him she was coming over to see him. Selene grabbed her things and rushed on out the door's, she hopped in her jeep and soon as she found a opening in traffic she hurried off to see Amenadiel.

When she got to the house she gently knocked on the door and he answered, "Hello, Selene." He greeted her, just as Ella was inside cleaning herself up, "Had some help with Charlie I see?" Selene said amused. Ella chuckled, "Uh, Yeah. I'm just on my way out, hey we should totally hang out again soon." Selene smiled," Uh, yeah hey come to my show on Friday, my cousin Justin is going to be performing with me, I plan on making this show one big party."

Ella nodded, "I wouldn't miss it." she smiled getting her things and then left, Amenadiel smiled, "So what brings you here Selene?" Selene sighed and sat down on the couch. She took a moment to think of how to word her question to him, "Uh, Well, I know you angels- um- self actualize... and um... well I-" Amenadiel was listening to her as she let out a deep sigh and stopped beating around the bush, she looked at him with a straight face, "I think it's happening to me." She tucked her hair back and showed Amenadiel her new pointy ear's.

Amenadiel was surprised, "Turn's out I'm a celestial too. Fae to be exact." she added and then hid her ears. "I don't understand how this is happening, I understand a little bit of what you an Lucifer gone though, but I don't understand why all of a sudden the changes are happening to me, I feel completely fine. Nothings really changed." Amenadiel sat down with her.

"I'm happy you got the answer's you seek, If you have any questions about Asariel, I will gladly answer the best to my knowledge. She was quite the reserved one." Amendaiel said as Selene had blank look on her face, "Dose this mean with everything I have that was originally her's becomes mine now? like her titles?" She asked him as he thought about it, "I'm not sure, But I will admit, you have come a long way handling your power's."

"Yeah... Say, have you herd from Maze? I haven't seen her not since Michael kidnaped me." Selene asked sounding a bit concerned, "Last I seen Maze was she was helping Michael, he got into her head too with a empty promise." Amenadiel said as Selene cringed," Oooh ...I'm sure she's reeling from that manipulation, she's probably blowing off steam on a bounty. I pity that bounty."

Amenadiel chuckled, "I'm pretty sure she is. Anyway, could I get you anything?" Selene shook her head, "No, I'm fine, I just needed someone to talk to, about the changes I'm going though, it's embarrassing. I like having my hair up, in different styles, when I'm in the mood. I'm not able to with my newfound pointy ears. I'm not one to be so... vain over my appearance, cause I never gone though this before.."

Amenadiel looked at her serious, "I know when I first went though it, I didn't take it very well, watching my wings fall apart, loosing the feathers... it was a really rough time for me. But it also helped me learn, and grow into the angel I am now, thanks to the help of some great friends." She smiled and chuckled slightly, "I still can't believe I am the reason you stopped trying to ship Lucifer off to Hell. I'm glad I did, I found happiness, even if it is one sided, I don't want to loose it." She had a disappointed look on her face.

She sook her head as she needed to talk about something else, "So how did things go last night, after I left? Did God finally tell you why he's here?" Amenadiel nodded his head, "Yep. He did." Selene gave him her full attention. "So what is this whole visit honestly about?" Amenadiel looked down and sighed, "Father's decided he want's to retire." he said as Selene nodded, "Oh, that's nice he want's- wait.. he want's to retire!?" Selene was shocked to hear such news, "Can he do that? I mean, I love your dad n all, even if I kinda didn't believe in him..."

Amenandiel wasn't quite sure exactly why this was going on, "Well, he has come to realize he's slipping control of his power's lately, and has come to terms on retiring." Selene started to think about it, "I took God on a nature walk, I did manage to get though to him, we talked about alot of things, from what I can tell, your dad is perfectly fine, I mean ok at first I thought he was having onset dementia, I mean let's face it, his old age is catching up to him, most people sometimes do slowly deteriorate mentally in old age. But I think there's more going on then meet's the eye, I have a gut feeling this might have something to do with Michaels stunt."

Amenadiel's expression hardened in thought, " I've considered that idea myself. Unfortunately, Father's not here on earth right now." Selene frowned, "Oh... I'm sure he will be back. He's probably giving Michael a lecture on his behavior." she sounded hopeful of God's return. "I'm glad to see Lucifer and God getting along, sort of... at least trying. I know Lucifer still feels some sort of way. How are you two taking this bombshell news?"

Amenadiel leaned back in thought, he was considering to be the one to take his father's place, but he was still torn over the life he had built here. "Well, You know... I'm more concerned which one of us is going to be father's successor, then Lucifer is." Selene frowned, "Uh, I think we really should be concerned, with God retiring, uh.. would that mean the rules no longer apply once he dose pass on the throne? I mean angels can't kill humans... there's a chance that law could change...pending on the angel."

Amenadiel didn't consider that as her statement made his mind come to a halt, "Uh- I... er.. I I'm sure everything will be fine, I wouldn't really worry just yet." He said hoping to reassure her, Selene nodded and the checked the time, "Oh, I should get going, I have something I wanted to drop off to Lucifer at the precinct anyway on my way back. It was nice talking to you Amenadiel." He stood up and walked her out, "My pleasure. You know you're welcome here any time." She smiled and left making her way to the precinct.

When she got there and inside the building, she noticed, Dr Linda was here as well, she guessed to herself she was probably needed for a case to not get her calls. Selene began to look around to see if she could find Lucifer, but She saw Chloe from a distance an didn't notice Lucifer was above talking to Dr Linda. It didn't take long for Lucifer to notice her having a chat with Chloe.

"It makes perfect sense. You want to know her, to be with her, it's everything you've ever wanted, but you can't completely open yourself up because deep down you actually believe that you don't... deserve her love. You feel unworthy of being in her life." Lucifer said looking down at Selene as she noticed him finally and smiled before leaving.

That night, Selene dropped by to see Lucifer, after she sent him a text she was on her way. Lucifer ha made sure to hide the sheet music from the girls and made it look like he was practicing Selene's song, when the elevator dinged and she walked out with a smile.

"Good Evening, Lucifer." he could tell she was is a really good mood, "You seem to be in a good mood. What's the occasion?" Lucifer asked as he stopped playing, "Well, I got the cryptic answers from God, I guess there's that. I'm glad to finally have a lot of weight off my shoulders, I really needed it."

Lucifer chuckled as he couldn't agree more, "You're right. You did need it, after all the mess you been caught up in, I still stand by what I've said before. I can't see anyone but you deserving your power's, Dad did something right, besides telling me how much I've been right about things.", Selene walked over to the bar and made herself a drink. She so badly wanted to tell him of her experience, but she pushed the idea behind her mind of the real reason she was so happy.

"So what do you think of the song my cousin wrote?" She asked him curious as he picked up his drink to take a sip, "Well, the melody it's self is very light, soothing, yet with the words it's quite... depressing. I suppose you could say I understand when you sing songs that fit the mood, it really dose hit different."

Selene smiled and sat down with him, "Yeah. So... I herd about the real reason God has been here, personally I didn't think it was a possible thing..., but, sometimes we just get to that point it's time to stop working, and just make up for lost time with the family for being at work so much." She said and then took a sip, "I guess God ain't much different if he really is considering retiring, it's gonna be hard to get use to such a big change in power."

Lucifer chuckled, "I wouldn't worry about it." Selene took another sip of her drink, "It's so weird... actually talking to your dad, I'm use to you and Amenadiel... being around God is a totally different level. You wern't kidding when you say your dad is cryptic, one minute he was making total sense like a normal person, then like a switch he went to cryptic mode. I can say you have my full sympathy for how frustrating it is."

Lucifer finished off his drink, "Quite frustrating in deed. You're just seeing a glimpse, try living with him since the dawn of time." He got up to go over to the bar and have a refill, "Being around Dad that long will make you want to rip your hair out till your bald." Selene took a moment to think about it, "I don't think I would last a week living with him."

There was something particular she wanted to talk to Lucifer about, she just wasn't sure how to say it, she was nervous about her ears. She needed to summon up the courage to say something, luckily nothing new had happened to her since so far, she got up to join Lucifer at the bar. "There's something you should know," She stated as he looked at her, reading her, he sensed something was going on, "Given the fact that I'm not human, I guess there is pretty much a big chance I'm not immune to this, um, ... self actualization phase..."

Lucifer looked at her like she had 3 heads, "What on earth are you talking about?" he asked confused, she avoided eye contact and then showed off the fact she had now pointy ears tucking her hair back. Lucifer was left a little surprise that this was happening, "Believe me I have no idea when or how my ear's turned in to this, I literally need to keep my hair down and I love changing hair styles, I haven't had any other weird changes yet."

Lucifer hummed in thought, "Mmm, not likely, Asariel didn't look any different then this, you're safe." Selene was relived by that answer, but also remembered it affect's powers too, she was going to need to be careful. "Well, that's good." She smiled at him as she was taking a deep breath, "It feels nice to finally be like this, getting to spend at least some time together, with all that has happened, I miss this peaceful time in amidst of all the chaos. Maybe after all this family drama's over we can run away, and make up for lost time."

Lucifer smiled as he couldn't agree more with her, he checked the time and smiled, "By all means, please, make yourself comfortable. I just need to pop down to Lux for a moment, and grab dinner, I should be no more then 15 minutes. Then we can eat and get down to work." Selene nodded, "That's fine I can take the time to get a bit of a buzz going." Lucifer smiled as he tok the elevator down to the club.

When he got to the club he took notice his brother, Amenadiel, was sulking. So like a good brother Lucifer went over to have a chat, he noticed his brother was spaced out, so when he approached his table he banged his drink on it, "That's the kind of God you're going to be, isn't it? Grave and weary."

Amenadiel rolled his eyes at Lucifer, "it's just, I thought I would be so eager to take Father's place, you know? But instead, I'm having doubts." Lucifer sat there and listened knowing the feeling was mutual in a sense of doubts, "I think I actually understand. You feel unworthy." Amenadiel didn't see it that way. "Uh, no. That's not it. I definitely feel worthy. Who else would be?," Amenadiel said as Lucifer gave him a look, "Nah, it's just, I spent so much time looking down on humanity. And now... Lucy I love living amongst them. I've finally learned how to connect. Built a life here. Made friends. A family. If I'm being honest, I... don't want any of that to change."

Lucifer could fully understand that his brother is about to make a large commitment, he did have a point with his thoughts, "So what, you're thinking of backing out?" He asked him. Amenadiel shook his head slightly, "No. That would be selfish of me, Lucy. I must embrace my celestial duty." Lucifer had a counter argument from what he has learned, "You should do what makes you happy."

"How I wish it was that simple." Amenadiel said as Lucifer had a grin on his face, "Well, maybe it can be. That is, if someone else were willing to take responsibility. Someone worthy." Amenadiel gave Lucifer a straight look, "Who?" he asked Lucifer. "Me, of course!" he chuckled grinning, "This is exactly what i need to prove myself." Amenadiel looked at lucifer like he was crazy, "What?"

"You herd me brother. I've just decided. I'm going to be God." Lucifer declared as Amenadiel mentally shook his head knowing all will not go well for him. He wasn't sure who he was going to pity more, Selene or Lucifer himself, but he still couldn't help but feel sorry for Selene when she find's out Lucifer's so called brilliant plan. Amenadiel also thought about it, he did have faith in Lucifer, and if it was something he really wanted to do, he would support him. Amenadiel wasn't also entirely worried about who's taking God's place, long as it wasn't Michael, but even that thought sparked a hint of fear for their lives on earth.

Not even Amenadiel could predict humanity and their fate if Michael takes the mantel. He knew deep down he need to talk to his dad as a thought crossed his mind and he needed answers. Lucifer looked at the time and finished his drink, "Well, Id love to say and chat more, brother, but Dinner should be here shortly and Selene is waiting on me.", Amenadiel waved him off, "It's fine, Lucy. I'm glad you're finally getting to have some time together." Lucifer fixed himself up and left to meet up with the delivery man.

Meanwhile up in the penthouse Selene was smoking a blunt out on the balcony, basking in the moonlight, it was literally making her glow. She was feeling alot lighter then she ever felt before, since she had been to Heaven, got to see her mom and Jack again. The moonlight was making her feel empowered, yet new recent emotions emerged ever since she had met Michael, then God.

She wasn't sure what to do with herself, planning on giving up the spotlight entirely with a bang, but wasn't sure what direction she was going to go, but she need to have time as well to explore her new full power. Selene summoned a shadow ball in her hand, remembering the moment she discovered she had powers, how delusional she was, and every feeling she had about having them that made her life do a 180 before she knew it. Deep down she knew she couldn't spend any more time missing important things happening in her life. It was like a blink of a eye, she was feeling like things were going to fast, and she had no idea how things got to this point to turn her love life upside down into limbo.

When the elevator dinged, Lucifer walked out an saw Selene's body was glowing like the moonlight itself full of warmth and love, it was like the moon was physically standing on his balcony. "Dinner's here." he smiled admiring how lovely she looked glowing like she was, she turned to him and made the shadow ball disappear. "Great, I'm just now getting hungry." She smiled and finished off her blunt. "I wasn't sure what you would be in the mood for, so I ordered Sushi." He said setting down their order.

Selene smiled putting her blunt out in the ashtray, "Yum. I can go for some sushi." Selene walked over to the couch and sat down, she was no longer glowing. Her phone buzzed making her check it as it was just a text, she was less then thrilled to know, "Is something wrong?" Lucifer asked seeing her face change. "Well... I just got a text from Justin, I guess you won't be the only one having a family reunion. My uncle is coming to our show, despite that side of the family hates my dad for mom choosing him over what the family wanted. I guess Justin must have got his dad to come to his senses, this is the first time I'm meeting him face to face, I'm kinda scared."

"Don't worry, I'll be close enough to intervene if I must, I wouldn't miss one of your wild bar parties." Selene smirked, "I hope not. There's going to be some local drag queens in our show for a little burlesque moment." That caught his attention as now he was really interested, he couldn't imagine her doing anything like that, but he could imagine her in something sexy with her figure. "Now that I wouldn't want to miss." he said sitting down as he brought over her food to eat.

Lucifer was already having the wheels turn in his head, hoping that he was making the right choice of pursuing the role of God. He still wishes he could say what he's been trying to say to her before all this mess, thinking there is no coincidence that Michael showed up and then God. Michael had already admitted to manipulating him, and there was no way he was going to let Michael have a chance at the throne if Amenadiel won't take it.

More importantly Lucifer was doing it for her, to help her have a better life, a life she deserves. He was happy she had settled into her powers, he wanted to keep that promise, but it meant nothing anymore. He found her to be perfect, not cause she wasn't human, but it was her nature, and how much fun her lifestyle can be. He would have never thought the country life was as fun as it sounded, but she showed him, he loved the feeling he had being welcomed into a family with open arms. Lucifer knew when he becomes God he plans on doing things differently then his father.

When they finished eating, Selene and Lucifer spent the rest of the night enjoying each other's company, helping her practice until she ended up spending the night.
