DCH 2: Love leads the way Chapter 14, a lucifer fanfic

Hello my readers! We are at a two part closing of Season 5 and season 6 is right around the corner. I can very much say I did my best at trying to make things perfectly balance, I kept changing my mind on parts I had inspirations for. I couldn't help but had to keep editing cause I couldn't figure it out in the way of humor. I hope I didn't disappoint on the humor, comedy isn't my thing so I tried to think of something amusing. I hope you enjoy this first half, my apologies it's taken so long, I got so much going on for me I'm lucky if I can even get any time to write.

The next day, Selene was still mourning about Dan, she didn't do as much chores in the morning as she normally would. She postponed her party before, but was happy to reschedule the party for tomorrow night. She got to the bar to get some last minute rehearsals in with her drag queen friends for the party, even if she was battling her depressed state of mind. She was trying her best to keep focus when watching everyone work hard. When she poured herself a drink, and herd the door open up but she didn't bother to turn around.

"Unless you're here to sign up for line dance lessons, I'm afraid the bar is closed. This is rehearsal time." Selene spoke loudly before taking a drink, when the mysterious voice spoke, "Tsk, such a shame, here I thought now would be a good time to drop in for a visit." Michael said as Selene froze mid sip of her whiskey. She put the drink down and looked to see if her brain was playing tricks on her, but Michael was indeed in front of her, Selene didn't waste time taking the chance as she charged after him disturbing the other's performances.

Michael raised his hands, but Selene was to quick to grip him up and slam him down and pin him, "Woah! Hey! Take it easy! I'm not here to fight." Selene's eyes glowed, as she had a devious grin, "Oh? But I've been looking forward to beating you to a pulp, Michael. Showing up here was your big mistake." She had pissed off icy tone in her voice, gripping him up by the collar of his turtleneck. "Give me a reason to not beat your face in." she growled staring at him coldly.

Everyone of her workers was looking at Selene wondering why she had attacked a customer, but when they got a better look when Selene had a hold on him, it was Michael. "For starters, It's pointless to start a fight, since it's pretty obvious I've won. I got the majority of the Angel's on my side, while Lucifer has, well, no chance." He stated like it wasn't so obvious. "So, you came to gloat to me about it? You already know where I stand Michael. So what business do you really have to just show up?"

Michael was trying to gently break her grip off his shirt collar, "I've come peacefully. I know it's been a while. I just wanted to catch up." She glared at him, "I know my brother listens to you, If you can convince him to suren-" Selene cut him off sharply," If you think I'm gonna help you out, sorry I'm on Lucifer's side, and I will be there when he is God, Lucifer has every right to be God. You're all to stupidly blind by you're hatred to see that, cause none of you have ever bothered to try and reconnect with him. It's been eons and everyone's still holding a grudge against him for the stupid rebellion. You're also being very petty, Michael, by causing problems not just for Lucifer, but for everyone close to him." She snapped at him.

"You're so stuck up your big ego's ass, you lost the value of what it means to be a family." Dawn was grinning as Selene was standing up against Michael, "You're right. Ugh, your absolutely right. I do indeed care about the safety of our siblings, I really want to avoid blood shed." Selene scoffed at his words with a eye roll her tone got very snarky, "Really? So why you in such a rush to put the flaming sword together if you don't intend things turning to blood shed? Oh right. From what I recall a while back, it can eradicate celestials, no better way to put the fear in all your siblings to be on your side with the perfect threatening weapon."

Michael chuckled, "Ah so my brother's have given you a little bit into celestial knowledge." She let him go, "Yes. On a few occasions, back when I didn't believe him. I'm gonna make something clear, I am embracing all that I am. You don't scare me at all, I'm not Asariel and I know deep down I can't live up to her name. I. am. Me. No one else. I will carve my own path not live in a shadow. I don't need to be in Heaven to take on the role Asariel had. This is my home it's where I'm going to stay." Selene spoke sternly brimming with confidence.

"Now, I think you can show yourself out. I got work to do." She turned and walked away wanting to be as far away from Michael as possible, when she got to her office, she needed to collect herself before going back out to do her part in the show.

After the rehearsal time was done Selene got a text from Lucifer asking her to come to the penthouse. She was happy to oblige and didn't waste time taking the drive on over. Lucifer was sitting on his couch having himself a drink, awaiting for Selene to arrive. When the elevator dinged Selene walked out and Lucifer looked and got up, "I'm glad you're here, Selene."

Selene smiled at him, "Of course, Lucifer. I just got done rehearsing for the party, so, you got me at a perfect time." Lucifer sighed as he was slightly worried she was still busy with rehearsals. "Listen, I know you wanted me to come over, but I been doing a lot of thinking... um.. the meltdown I had last night, I guess, I've just got so overwhelmed with other peoples emotions I've been feeling, I lost grip on mine. And I must say I am somewhat relived about exploding like I did. I guess I did sort of take your words the wrong way about feeling unworthy, unintentionally." She said calmly looking at him.

"I understand, I guess were not so different, the feeling of unworthiness sucks. Honestly, it's the worst feeling to ever have, I meant it though, feeling so unworthy. I needed that breakdown I've been strong far too long to not break." Lucifer's eyes soften and he shook his head, "You have nothing to be sorry for. I've come to realize I've been trying to be God for all the wrong reasons, I think I've realized the real reason I should do this. For Dan's sake, and everyone else."

Selene looked at Lucifer confused, "What do you mean by that?" Lucifer went over to the bar and made her a drink, which she graciously took before sitting down and getting comfortable. "Everything that's happened is all because of Michael. He's been working on assembling the Flaming sword, that also, as you know, happens to be my sister Azrael's blade, Right now, far as I know he doesn't have the final piece. The key that ignite it."

Selene was starting to piece things together of the chain of events, "Michael's the reason Dan's dead." She said flatly, "Travis is doing better he's gonna be discharged soon." She took a sip of her whiskey. Lucifer sighed, "I can't allow Michael to win this, I don't want to see you end up like Dan." Selene looked at Lucifer and her gut was telling her he was hiding something, "What do you mean end up like Dan, I'm pretty sure he's in Heaven, granted learning everything he did was a bit of a whirlwind on him, but he hardly had time to adjust."

Lucifer looked down he tried to figure out the right words to say, but he was drawing a blank but his expression said otherwise. "Why am I getting the feeling you're hiding something..." She stated staring at him, as he remained silent, "Dan is in heaven right?" He looked away and then Selene felt her heart sink. "What?... No...D-Dan's in Hell? T-That can't be right...I know police work is rough and dangerous and sometimes casualties happen, doing undercover work is rough in it's own right, but Dan shouldn't be in hell, he's been doing better for himself. I give him credit he didn't fall into a down spiral and become a severe alcoholic or a druggie."

Suddenly the sound of flapping wings hand interrupted there talk, they both look to the balcony and seen Remiel, "Remiel." they said getting up in union and noticed something was off. "Lucifer." Remiel managed to breath out before falling to the ground, Lucifer rushed to her side, "Remi!" he began to look for a pulse but there wasn't one, "She's dead." Selene wasn't shocked by this she knew now this was now going to far. "That's the last straw, that lying bastard crossed the line." she was bluntly harsh.

Lucifer was slowly starting to feel his blood boil, yet he wasn't expecting his sister to drop dead right in his penthouse. "Michael must of found out she was our spy...so he killed her with the flaming sword." Selene came over to take a look for injuries, and noticed something was off right away when she took a whiff of Remiel. "Lucifer I don't want to question Celestial objects, but dose it really burn?"

Lucifer looked at her like she was out of her mind, "Of course, Selene, it's not just a name, it's a sword made of fire." he said with a hint of sarcasm, "If Remiel was murdered by the sword, shouldn't her clothes be burned too least burnt away, look, there's no burn wound. It couldn't have been the sword." Lucifer began to think abut it, "So he must have only just used Azrael's blade... because he doesn't have the last part..." She didn't want to accuse the other angels but she wanted to be careful with her choice of words.

"Michael has a army of Angels doing his dirty work for him... could it be a chance it wasn't Michael that killed her but had someone else do it... either way bloods still on his hands." Lucifer was trying to imagine what kind of scenario Remiel was in to end up dead, "Maybe she found out where it was and was going to find us..." Selene looked seldom at Remiel, "Who knows what she was going to tell us, she was quite frantic about it..." Lucifer took notice to Remiel's feathers and sniffed it, something got his attention. "I don't know, but I believe we have a clue as to where she was."

Selene took the feather when she saw some dust come off it, "Let me see this..." she took a sniff and she knew the smell all to well, "This is yeast, you find it in bakeries or a bread factory, most distilleries, a brewery more like it, not everyone makes whiskey with it sometimes wine. I know a few small town home made winery's.. not around here though I mean back home." Lucifer had a idea as much as he hated to make Ella question him and the large feather he's brought her to examine." I need to get this to miss Lopez maybe there could be more then just yeast, I hope we got ourselves a lead. "

Lucifer looked at Selene, I know you want to enjoy your day off, but I want you to join me in one more case." Selene knew exactly what he was asking," I'll help you, Lucifer, anyway I can. We're in this together. Let's go visit Ella and get anything else we can off of Remiel's feather." They didn't waste time except Lucifer took the time to hide his sisters body for now until they can give her a proper burial.

Once they got to the precinct, they hurried to Ella's lab where they ran into Chloe to work on a case going to the same place, Selene let Lucifer do the talking. She was glad to visit Ella and see how she was holding up, she had noticed alot of people are still morning over Dan when they walked though, she could feel the energy in the air. Ella took the feather from Lucifer and began to examine it after taking samples to test, "Hmm, Maybe I should run anther sample though mass spec." Selene was confused on why Ella would want to run another test, "Why?" She asked Ella, "The reports say it's yeast."

Chloe chimed in, "Yeast, that is weird." She then had a thought and hurried off to do something, Ella turned to Lucifer and Selene, "I know you said to just examine what's on the feather, but... I can't help but do the math and... I think I know what this is about, Lucifer." Lucifer was caught off guard wondering if there was some divinity left in Remi's feather. "You- you- you do?" Ella gave him the stare down, "Ginormous mystery feather? On the down low investigation? Lucifer, you have to trust me by now. So, tell me the truth. You hit a emu with your car, didn't you." Lucifer didn't know how to answer but Selene jumped in, "Yes!, but it wasn't his car, it was mine, I took him on a trip out to my friend's ranch and the one neighbor has emu's. Don't worry the Emu in question is alright, it was a bit stunned."

"Ah, it makes a whole lot of sense of course, I don't know why I didn't think about it there like six feet tall and there feather's are huge." Selene nodded her head, "And sneaky troublesome birds thet are too, I use to do emu round ups back in Nashville, not everyone owns horses on the farms." She played off the story about hitting a emu so casually to avoid suspicions, just in time for Chloe to come back, and Ella to leave the room for a moment.

"Okay. Remember TJ ross the fence who had Amenadiel's necklace?" Lucifer couldn't forget that human twerp, "The twerp who launched me across the room like a angry bird? How can I forget?" Selene was surprised to hear that bit of tidbit, she held back a snicker at the thought of Lucifer being tossed by a human, but then the thought alone didn't make sense until she realized about Amenadiel's necklace. She remembered celestial objects affect humans in some form. "When I was working the dead med tech case, I looked into all the locations he operated out of, and one of them was a abandoned beer factory."

"Sounds like we need to check it out, That has to be where Remiel was before dropping in. If we hurry now we can get to this TJ guy before Michael gets him." Selene said as Lucifer nodded in agreement, but another idea popped up in her head, "Actually, I got a even better idea." she grinned at Lucifer, and he looked quite puzzled at the look she was giving him.

"If your other siblings are going to be there in that factory, there going to expect Michael." Lucifer was unsure and not liking where it was going, "It's actually a good thing you and Michael are indeed idential twins, this makes things so much easier to cosplay your brother." Lucifer finally caught on where she was getting at, he was completely repulsed of the idea, "Ugh, Selene I can't beleive you would even suggest I dress like my brother, I mean clearly Michael has no fashion sence, I don't understand why he thought a turtleneck and suite look good together, I mean seriously! His fashion sence screams 'help I need a makeover!'." he shuddered in disgust.

Selene sighed, "Do you want to get Amenadiel's necklace before Michael or not! This is our only chance right now or it's game over." She asked sternly glaring at him, Lucifer deeply huffed and grumbled, "Fine. I'll do it." Selene smirked knowing she won the argument this time, luckily she knew her one friend was wanting to be a movie makeup artist and gladly helped out making Lucifer into Michael. So they went to her bar and got her friend to work her magic. Lucky her cosins go to the salvation army alot so they were easily able to find him clothes to dress like Michael.

While Lucifer was sitting there with her friend working on replicating Michael's scar, if looks could kill from Lucifer Selene would been dead by the repulsive cheap two piece suite and turtleneck," You couldn't have maybe got me something from Prada?" Selene glared at him," You know for undercover work you don't get to have a choice in fashion when your pretending to be someone else. Be happy your only dressing like your twin brother and not have to dress in drag to pretend to be your own sister."

Lucifer scoffed and feigned hurt, "Ugh, thank you for that horrible imagery you ruined my love for Drag queens, and I do I love drag queens, but there's no way I can pull off a dress let alone, theses legs ain't made for a skirt." Selene rolled her eyes, "You're such a drama queen, Lucifer, stop making a big deal it's only just for a little bit." She pushed the clothes to him, "Get changed this way when you're dressed all that's left is to put the prosthetic fake scar on. Sooner you stop complaining the sooner this can be over with."

Lucifer rolled his eyes, "fine." he took the clothes to go change into grumbling about looking so cheap. behind closed door's they could still hear lucifer complaining, "When I'm God, I'm making sure turtlenecks are extinct. I feel like a guilty teenager hiding hickey's from their parents, I'll never understand how you humans can find this fashion abomination so comfortable with such a tight chocking collar, and all this time I thought condoms were constricting."

The girls rolled their eyes as Selene was mocking Lucifer making her hand into a mouth acting like Lucifer to make the girls chuckle, Once they herd the door about to open they stopped. They proceeded to get Lucifer finished, and the last final touch was t make Lucifer's hair a mess, to witch he protests. "There. You defiantly look like Michael now. Your siblings won't be able to tell the difference. They haven't seen you in forever they won't expect you." Lucifer took a look in the mirror, " Let's just get this over with, I don't want to be looking like this longer then I have too."

"I don't like this idea any more then you, Luce, this is our best shot to get a one up on Michael. I'll be real with you, I don't think I can get over the idea of you two being identical twins. It's disturbing to say the least. but at least you two are so different it's much easier to to tell the both of you apart even if you didn't scar his face."

Even though this plan was uncomfortable for the both of them, least she knew her Lucifer well enough. After getting to the factory once Lucifer was set and ready, Selene spied on a head flittering around a broken window to see two angels, wrestling with a human, Selene spoke in to her comunicator in her shrunken form, "Tj is here, So are two angels. Shouldn't be too hard to handle, no sign of Michael. Go, make your move Luce." Selene moved away from the window and kept a eye out for Michael, hoping she can stay tiny as long as she can.

She was more impressed once she slipped inside to watch Lucifer and to see his siblings reaction when they find out about Lucifer. With a devious grin as she was hoping if he could least get the necklace piece away from them, she can snatch it up they needed at victory win, with all the bad luck they had. If they were to fail this time, they're gonna end up needing a new plan.

Selene watched as the angels beat up a human, she seen some crazy things but a human looking like they were hyped up on PCP induced aggression. Lucifer put on his best Michael impression, "Well, well, well, TJ, you're quite the feisty human, aren't you?" Raziel looked at Lucifer thinking it's Michael, "Finally! Help us, brother. This little cockroach wont let go!" They were trying so hard to restrain TJ. Lucifer looked at TJ and reached for the necklace. "TJ. If you know what's good for you, you will let go of the necklace." He tried to get the necklace free, but the kid had a tight grip on it.

"Over my dead body!" TJ said trying to fight off the angels and keeping the necklace he managed to throw them off and tried to run but got caught, "You know, this human makes a good point. Father isn't here anymore, which means the rules about not killing humans vanished with him." Selene didn't like the sound of that as she had feared it was going to be this way. Lucifer didn't like that idea but he kept up the Michael charade to his siblings, "If you wipe this one worthless soul out of existence" Lucifer spoke, "I'll have everything I want." He stared down TJ as he was fighting hard, Lucifer felt like this was the time to make a perfect moment to shock his brother and sister.

His brother began to question him once he relaxed himself, "Michael?" Lucifer revealed his true voice, "Sorry, but I can't do that." He walked away as his siblings looked confused about Michael, Lucifer peeled off the fake scar, "As good as my friend is at cosplay make up, I've never as adept at subterfuge as my twin." There siblings were in shock to see Lucifer, and TJ broke free of the brother's grip to escape, but his freedom didn't last long.

Michael had swooped in and murdered TJ in cold blood slitting his throat, and let his body fall into a heap. Lucifer didn't like what Michael had done and the siblings looked just as disturbed. "Well...that was gross.." Michael said collecting the necklace from the dead body. "But I guess you need a strong stomach if your going to be God." he chuckled. Lucifer looked at his brother and sister, "Is this a God you want? A God who slaughters the innocent for his own selfish gain?"

"Humans are the selfish ones! They're animals! They don't matter." Selene felt a bit stung by offence about humans, she was born from two mortal humans. "What about Remiel? What about our sister? Dose it matter to you that Michael murdered her?" Lucifer said trying to contain his rage, for his brother's take on humanity "That can't be true." She turned to Michael and looked at him hoping it is a lie, "Michael?" Selene felt bad for Lucifer's brother and sister learning the cold truth, but if by chance this get's them two more angels on there side it will be worth it.

Michael didn't bother to deny it, "I did what I had to." Raziel was disgusted knowing Michael really did kill their sister, and Selene was just as disgusted that Michael had no shame for what he's done, "Sometimes sacrifices have to be made for the greater good. Heavy is the head that wears the crown and all that." Michael was about to ignite the blade, Selene decided to step in and return to normal size after hiding her wings and stun him with dark lighting, making him feel pain along with the other siblings.

"Hello, Selene." Michael greeted while Selene glared coldly at the angels, "As a Celestial born from human parents, I'm disgusted by the things I've herd about humans don't matter. Especially your own sister. You really lost sight of family values to kill your own siblings, just so you can be God." Selene seethed "You should be ashamed of yourselves." Lucifer took the time to escape before they noticed.

"So it is true. Father blessed a human family with a Celestial." Raziel said as they had their guard up, "Damn straight. I'm the product of that outcome," Selene grinned and created a shadow whip and made sure to make a example out of them, "The biggest mistake you have done, is underestimate humans." She made sure they crash into each other. "I might not be human but I was raised as a human, I will stand and fight for all of humanity's future as well as my own future. Never forget that."

Selene took her leave and left them to rejoin Lucifer, they were going to need a new plan, but first they needed to give Remiel a proper burial, and still let Amenadiel know about it. That night, they met up in the woods, Selene was already hard at work digging a grave for Remiel by her LED lantern light for the bother's as they brought Remiel's body, this was a grave not far from Uriel's body. Selene felt bad for both of them this had happened.

Once the grave was deep enough they worked together to burry her, by the time they were done, the reality of this sistuation as sunk in. It wasn't long ago they had to bury Dan, now their own sister. "I can't beleive Remi is gone." Amenadiel said with a heavy sigh, "She... She at least died the way she would want to. Like a warrior. And she was a fine warrior."

"It's dosen't matter how she died, she's still dead! Dad and his mysterious ways. If he would have just chosen a successor, we wouldn't be here." Lucifer said as Selene couldn't help but feel the same way, but would it really prevent this kind of outcome? "Remiel would still be alive, Dan wouldn't be in Hell." Amenadiel looked at Lucifer leaning on the shovel, "Father didn't give us the answers, Lucy, because he wanted us to find our own way.

Lucifer rolled his eyes, "Oh, even if it means dying!" Amenadiel gave him a blunt answer, "Yes! Yes, Lucy. you have to risk falling if you wanna fly. Dad had faith in us. That's why he gave us a choice." this began to enrage Lucifer. "Well, he shouldn't have. I had the choice to save everything and everyone I care about, but I didn't. I chose wrong. Michael's going to be God, because I didn't have the balls to kill a two bit fence who wound up dying anyway."

She liked seeing Lucifer open up and be more open with his feelings, this made her proud of him to finally get his emotions out. "And now, who knows how many other people are going to die because of my... cowardice." Selene spoke up looking at Lucifer,"Your not a coward Lucifer, besides you're a better man then what Michael has become. He's drowning in his own hatred for you, Luce, and his ego ain't help much either." They both looked at Selene, "We are the only ones that are capable of fighting. We have to be the ones to fight, and we can fight."

"I know It's my fault you have been dragged into this family drama." Lucifer spoke, "Part of me would rather not let you fight, but another part of me has complete confidence in you." Selene gave him direct eye contact, "Well, this is a surprise, I was prepared for a argument." Lucifer frowned, "Things are much more dangerous now that Michael has fully assembled the flaming sword, Azrael's blade is a threat on it's own, but fully assembled, it can cut though space and kill us, we will no longer exist there's no other side for us."

"I get that, Lucifer, but I'm here with you to the end. I know the risks, I need to do what I was born to do, for the sake of everyone's future. I want to inflict some suffering on Michael and I want to protect my home." Maze had finally shown up, "Sorry I'm late, I've been busy with preparing my blades." Lucifer sighed, "Even if we had a dozen demon blades, there's still only 4 of us, against a literal army of angels."

Ameandiel thought of a idea that would be their only hope to even out the fight, "I think I might have a idea how we can get our own army." He said looking at Maze, Selene was confused, but then she got the hint, "it could work, I mean we could do worse...The girls will fight too, they can use some of Maze's weapons, if things don't entirely go as planned you still have supporters in your corner." Maze nodded, "She's right."

Lucifer was surprised his brother would suggest raising a few demons out of Hell, to fight along side them, "You really mean that?" Amenadiel nodded, "They're the best chance we've got. What do you think Maze?" They all looked at Maze as she had a stoic face, "Hey, I'm all in. Let's kill a bunch of angels." Amenadiel got firmed, "No, Mazikeen! If were going to do this were going to do it without killing. They're our family."

Maze got snippy, "You wanna tie another hand behind our backs? Fight a war like a bunch of wussies?" Selene stepped in, "We can fight without killing. We need to figure out somehow to disarm Michael." Maze knew when she had been beat, she rolled her eyes, "Fine, whatever. Least we will all die together." Lucifer felt everyone was on the same page, "Well, off that optimism, Dad gave us the power of choice. What say we make one last bad one?" They nodded in agreement and then went there separate ways.

It was starting to get late, but Selene had the urge to go visit Trixie, she sent Chloe a text to see if it was ok to drop by. Chloe responded saying it was fine that Trixie was having trouble sleeping anyway. Selene knew exactly what she was going to do, so she didn't waste time getting there. Selene parked her jeep and walked up to the door, lightly knocking, in a few seconds Chloe answered the door. "I'm so sorry to stop by so late, I wanted to see how Trixie is doing."

Chloe nodded, appreciating the gesture she let her come in, "It's been hard on her she hasn't been able to sleep since the funeral." Selene nodded, "I think I can help, I know exactly what she's going though." She winked at Chloe, she was slightly uncomfortable about her daughter knowing the truth about celestials. She was willing to give Selene a chance. She lead her to where Trixie was, "Hey, Trix." Selene smiled.

Trixie didn't smile much, "Hi." Selene walked into the room, "I come to see how you are doing." Trixie shrugged, "I'm okay... I guess." Selene knew the sound of her voice so well, Selene sat down with her, "I know what you're going though. I've been where you are right now." Trixie looked at Selene confused but sort of surprised, as Chloe listened in, "Yep. When I was your age, I lost my mom. I still blame myself for it, but I also understood it wasn't my fault at the same time. I have been remembering a lot more from back then. We were in a midst of a tornado warning, on our way home from a rescue mission I pressured my mom into doing."

"The roads were clear and the storm hasn't come by yet, we went to abandoned ranch, that here to find out someone was operating a slaughter house, and there was horses in poor conditions trapped in stalls. we managed to rescue all the horses, one we couldn't leave back into the wild we kept in our trailer so we can give him proper care, he was worst case. When the storm came though while on the road, visibility was highly poor you couldn't see at all, it's like driving though thick fog on top of l Niagara falls shower." She chuckled, "It was just that heavy of rainfall. Mother nature never did make sense, sometimes you'd swore she just as a agenda for one particular location."

"That bad of a storm?" She nodded, "Yeah we were caught in the tail end of a tornado warning, gratefully it missed our home. There were a lot of accidents we ended up in our own, even with headlights, we didn't see the oncoming of a tractor trailer. When we swerved, we jackknifed off the road, and off the embankment, and slammed into a tree. I was comatose for a little over a week." She said looking at Trixie, "It was hard time I couldn't face the reality that I was the sole survivor, between me and my mom. It also deeply hurt I would never get to do anything with my mom again. I thought about giving up everything I loved, but I didn't, because I knew I would get a earful about it if I did, I can still imagine the earful my mom would given me if I gave up being a rodeo girl, and my dreams."

She smiled,"But as much as it hurts to know mom and Jack are gone, it took some time to realize after a while that I've grown to appreciate the time I've gotten to spend with them. It might feel like it hasn't been a long enough time to spend, but you need to tell yourself, that no matter how old you are you know your lucky to know them for as long as you got too."

Trixie thought about it, "Yeah... maybe your right, Mom and Dad are always doing dangerous work. I hate it sometimes because there's a chance I could loose both." Selene nodded," Well, there's not many safe jobs out there, look at construction workers and road workers, they're always at risk of being roadkill and some sort of accident, being tractor trailer driver aint a easy job look how many accidents happen to them on a daily basis. Point is, we can never predict what might happen to us, there's danger everywhere, so we need to apprecate the life we have, because it can be taken from us so suddenly."She smiled at trixie.

"But enough of the dreary talk, I came here to put a big smile on your face." Trixie looked confused with Selene, "I'm gonna let you on a little secret I found out about myself. I'm not even human, My parents are 100% human, but I'm not." Selene looked at Chloe then back to Trixie. "You see, I've seem to have gained wings." And before Trixie's eyes she shrunk down and her wings were out, she fluttered around Trixie like a humming bird."

Chloe finally got so see a light in Trixies eyes that she missed from her little girl, "Thats... so cool! You're a Fairy!" Trixie was in awe Selene smiled," Yep. I'm still adjusting myself." Selene landed right in Trixie's hands so she could see her wings, "So, wait, If you're not human then shouldn't your parents not be human either?" Selene shook her head, "I was born from two human parents, call this a gift from God to my parents, really." Trixie was taken a back when Selene got big again with her wings out.

Selene's phone began to buzz in her pocket, she pulled it out to check it and sighed, making her wings vanish, "I don't want to hold up your bed time, I should get going anyway I hope I at least made you feel better." Trixie nodded and gave Selene a big hug, "I feel much better thanks to you. I'm starting to see the big picture of things." Selene smiled and broke the hug, She got up to leave and Chloe walked her out, "Thank you, Selene, for coming and cheering her up."

"My pleasure, Chloe, I figured I could at least bring a little life back in her. I'll see you around" Selene left to head home. Of course she wasn't going to be surprised because Maze was waiting for her inside her place. She was relived to see Maze come back around to talk, she missed Maze and wanted a chance to catch up. She just didn't know what Maze wanted to talk about this time.

When Selene got home and inside she found maze on her couch playing with her blade, when she sat up, "Good. Your home." Selene was slightly put off by this, "I know I haven't... been around much I've been-" Selene stopped her," Maze, I understand why you have been doing the things you are doing, you don't need to explain, but what is it exactly you needed to desperately see me about?"

Maze was hesitant not quite sure exactly how t word things, "I... Uh, I want to know-" She bit her lip trying to get the words out, "I want to know what it feels like.. to... be in love." She looked away feeling shameful. Selene needed to process what she was asked by Maze about, She didn't even know what t say, "You.. want to know what it's like to be in love?" Maze nodded, "Well, uh, Maze, it varies really. Sometimes people get nervous around someone they have feelings for, some people can't even speak , some feel fluttering, sometimes people end up embarrassing themselves. Kinda like alot of Rom Coms theses days."

Selene began to form questions wanting to pry the secret crush out of Maze, "Do you... have a crush on someone?" Maze couldn't keep eye contact, "Aj." Selene nearly dropped her jaw," Wait, you have a thing for Amelia?" She wasn't quite sure, but it also explained why Amelia seemed off at work, "Dose she know?" Maze nodded, "Yep, we been seeing each other for quite some time. She rejected the chance of possibly making her immortal, using my mothers ring." Selene did wonder why Lucifer wasn't wearing the ring for a while, and the change in Amelia, things were making much sense. "I'm sorry to hear that. Don't worry, Maze, just give things some time, you'll see everything will work out just fine, just be open with her. Confessing your feelings isn't a easy thing but it's reliving to know you gave it a chance."

"You think?" She asked as Selene went t grab glasses and some whiskey, "Well I can't entirely say for sure, rejection sucks. I know when I confessed myself to Lucifer, and that took alot of thinking and courage to do. But, I got it done and over with, even if I was going to be turned down and possibly die, least I know I didn't die not being able to take chance and do it."

Maze began to think about things before Selene came back with a bottle and drinks filled," Look, Just think of it like poker, all you need to do is just put yourself out there to her, go all in and see what happens." Selene couldn't help but want to support the Demon/ human couple to be. "I know the girls learning you're truly a demon, was a bit, on the nervous side, but I know the girls and I grown to love you, especially when you were a life saver when we were short on a dancer."

Selene sat down next to Maze, "Look, If things don't work out It's no hard feelings, you don't need to hate yourself over it, nobody is perfect, we all mess up, have regrets, but it's those experiences that help us grow emotionally, sometimes for the better... other times not so much...but it's all in how you choose to cope with it." Selene looked at the blade, "Anyway that doesn't involve violence. It's never the answer along with drugs and alcohol." She took a sip of her whiskey.

Maze was sipping on her drink, "What I'm saying is try to not let it affect your life, if things go south, let it, it's not a big deal. Personally, I don't doubt you and Cami making things work, I got faith in both of you. I'll even have a talk to her about it, I knw she seems a bit off theses days, I mean cut the girl some slack, telling them the truth about you and Lucifer and she's still trying to cope in some way, so if she is ever being withdrawn, distant, don't take it personally."

"You would you really talk to her about it?" Maze asked Selene getting a nod feeling like things are finally normal again like nothing has changed, "Okay. Well then, mind if I crash here for tonight?" Selene smiled, "I got spare rooms for a reason. I don't mind the company we can have a girls night in, but seeing as I got chores to do in the morning, I can't stay up too late especially since tomorrow is going to be a tough battle." She said as they spent most of the night talking and planning on summoning the demon army to help them in this war.

The next day, Selene was wearing a covergirl denim romper doing her daily chores with the horses, giving them each equal attention as needed, knowing they were getting a visit from the vet for check ups. Selene spent her time making sure everything was done and set just in time for the vet to show up. Meanwhile Amenadiel and Maze were working on their plan to get the bodies and summon the demons to their bodies to use for possession. It was a good thing they had till sunset to be ready, they all hoped as they kept everyone in the loop everything's so far so good.

Selene was lost in thought as the vet did their job. Selene did the same making sure to keep them calm frm their shots by randomly singing something postitive to keep them distracted from shots and everything the vet needed to do.

(Selene's POV thoughts)

Gah! I'm so nervous about today, I get it I'm crazy for putting myself out there to fight in a war against angels, but I will make myself look bad if I back out of this war. I can't let Michael be named God. I can't even pray to win because there's no God at this point.

I just hope we can do this without casualties. I wish things didn't have to be this way, leaving humanity's future in the balance along with everyone's happiness.

After the visit from the vet was done Selene received a message from Lucifer about the location and time of Michael's little gathering. Selene passed the message on to her cousins, to let them know about it, to join if they so wished. Something in her gut told her to look around her stable, she wasn't quite sure what she was looking for, until she checked out the cabinet with all the things she needed to take care of her horses. Something did end up catching Selene's eye behind the bathing supplies.

Hiding behind the supplies, was a small gift wrapped box with a letter. Selene pulled it out completely confused by it, she took a look at the letter first. Her eyes nearly popped out of her head when it was another gift from God. She didn't know when or how God did it, not that she could even question him and his mysterious ways.

I must thank you for showing me a good time while I visited earth, I've greatly appreciated all your help to help me reconnect with my son. I know I have already done something for you, I know you are not what the other's expected, but I do hope you can make use of a few of Asariel's things. You have made quite the impact on my son, and I do wish you will continue to do so helping raise my grandson as well.

Selene hesitated on opening the wrapped gift from God, but knowing it's something of Asariel's made her curious and hoped it would be a big help in battle. When Selene opened up the box, inside of it was rounded moon stones gems, a moonstone pendent with a crescent moon wrapping around it, and a Silver crescent moon circlet like tiara, it wasn't anything flashy just a thin metal headband type of band and a crescent moon on top. Ideas were running though her head over the extra set of gemstones.

Soon as she had a idea for the stones, she took the time to admire the pendent, wondering if she wore it might draw attention, and it was originally Asariel's. She felt they'd make perfect accessories to her unfinished dress she forgotten to finish working, she had found herself new inspiration, but not much time to do anything about it. Selene put everything away and took the present inside up to her room.

She began to hum a tune in her head that's been sitting on her mind as she gathered up her laundry to get caught up, ever since she did a wardrobe refresh and split her clothes between home and Lucifer's, and gt rid of clothes she didn't want anymore. She hoped that once she has her last bar party, she can finally spend more time taking care of her house. She hated feeling like a lousy home owner when she hadn't cleaned her house for some time.

With a heavy sigh she took the time to get what she could get done in a short time, before she had to mentally prepare herself for the war that might not even happen if things go right. Selene looked at her phone, it was a message from Dawn about closing down the bar for the night incase of casualties. Thinking about it she texted them to keep it closed, they can celebrate at Lux after the battle ahead.

As time passed, Lucifer had arrived to Selene's house to pick her up, She had switched out her work boots for her ass kicking steel plated tip Harley Davison cowboy boots. Lucifer couldn't help but look her over in her tight short denim romper, he could see she was carrying herself with confidence walking to his car. They drove off together hoping their plan goes over well, and worked on a back up just incase.

Selene hoped this was going to be the last time she would have to see Michael's face. They arrived at the Los Angeles memorial coliseum, She hate to see this place become a battlefield, at least it will be private. "You know, I've come to realize I don't think there's anyone I rather do this with." Lucifer said as they made there way inside. "Either way, Lucifer, I wouldn't be able to stand by and let this go on. This ends now. Let's just hope things are going well on Maze and amena-" The sounds of wings flap cut off her sentence when Amenadiel flew in.

They noticed Maze nor the recruitments have shown up, but it wasn't long until Selene's family showed up as well, least those who aren't still recovering. "Where's Maze? and our reinforcements?" Selene saw her cousins show up, along with some gear that Maze so gratefully shared.

"Well, it's taking a little bit longer then expected." Amenadiel said Selene grinned, "Least we got half of our team." The brothers looked and saw her cousins were armed with shot gun and some hell forged bullets and some other weapons of choice, "Alright, let's stall until Maze shows up." Selene looked at the girls and grinned, "Oh, not a problem leave the stalling to us." The girls grinned at Lucifer.

They all walked together to face Michael and the other angels, her cousin's could see Selene was carrying herself like she was still the Rodeo Queen, Calm and Collected. They walked out to the field to where the Angels were waiting, Selene raised a eyebrow at what Michael was wearing, to her it screamed the opposite of a knight in armor.

"This really is a family affair, isn't it?" Lucifer said casually, Michael feigned being surprised, "You actually showed up. Look at that. You ready to bend the knee, brother?" Michael asked. Selene couldn't help but joke in her mind about the way Michael was dressed compared to his siblings. "Yes, Michael we..."Amenadiel spoke as Selene gave the girls a get ready signal,"Listen, we accept you as our new God." Selene kept a stoic expression as did the girls.

"Do you?" Michael sounded slightly thrilled his big brother has accepted him, now it was getting Lucifer to submit, then begin executing his plans. "I wanna hear it from him. The one who doesn't lie." He pointed the key to the sword at Lucifer. "Of course, brother." Lucifer began to kneel to Michael, this was making Selene uncomfortable, as she wasn't going to kneel to Michael.

"You are...God..." He bowed his head, as Michael was pleased to finally be better then his twin."...awful!" Lucifer straightened himself up, " I mean what on earth are you wearing? Is winter coming or something?" Lucifer chuckled, Michael should have known it was too god to be true, "Very funny, Lucifer. Very, very funny." He laughed," Why do you have to fight the Inevitable?" Michael asked.

"It's the only way I know how to fight. I demand a vote." Michael belted out a laugh like it was a good joke," Seriously? Alright, fine." he said laughing then got serious," Fine! Who here is not voting for me?" None of the siblings said anything but lok around, honestly they don't want Michael as God, but now that he has Azrael's blade, it was clearly evident even in Selene's eyes Michael is using fear power and the blade, as the means to bully his siblings for control.

Her stomach started to twist, she could feel the aura of the other Angels and their feelings that surround them. Selene took notice most of the angels were looking at her cousins knowing they don't want this just the same. "I said, is anyone here not voting for me?" after a moment of no one answering Michaels question it was obvious everyone's biting their tongues because of Michael. Michael took it as no one objects. "Well, that's it. That's your speech, is it?"

"I think I've said all I need to." Michael responded calmly as Lucifer scoffed, "Typical Michael. All fear and no substance." Selene couldn't help but agree. "Brother and sisters, I know what you all desire. And I know it's not me as God. But I also know you don't want him either" Lucifer pointed at Michael making in frown, "So, you have a difficult choice to make. Everyone knows what Michael is all . He's using it right now by threatening you with the Flaming sword. But me..." Michael was holding on to the sword on his hip.

"I'm gonna try and convince you with the truth. I'm gonna tell you the real reason I want to be God." He looked at Selene as she looked back at him with a smile, she had faith in him, her eyes told him. Before he could say it, Zadkiel spoke up, "I know why Lucifer wants the throne. He told me." Michael looked at Zadkiel and back to Lucifer taken slightly off guard. "And it's for love, of all things." They all laughed about it, "I never thought I'd hear it. Love. The best reason one could have." Zadkiel said walking and gave Michael the stink eye.

Zadkiel joined Lucifer's side, putting a hand on his brother's shoulder, "Lucifer has my support. He is worthy. Who's with me?" Michael was displeased by this, looking around to see who else is going to ditch him for Lucifer, clearly trying to keep his anger in check. Raziel hesitated then walked to Lucifer's side. They waited to see if anyone else was going to join Lucifer so far n one moved. "Oh, I really thought that was gonna be a whole thing. A for effort though, Zadkiel."

"At least we have Love, unlike the rest of you, we know how to be a family and treat others like family." Rosie boldly stated with a hint of snark." Can't say for the rest of you." Michael was amused feeling like he didn't lose many on his side," Well, looks like we have the numbers. Consider the vote complete and me...God" Michael looked up raised his arms like he was about to receive the power, but it never happened. It was a disappointment when nothing dramatic happened, "Oh come on. I thought there'd be a little, some-some, a flash of lighting, maybe, unless...I- I thought dad said we were choosing."

Gabriel wasn't sure on how their father intends n passing his power off," Maybe it has to be unanimous?" she shrugged this Michael didn't think of," Right. Right. Well If it has to be unanimous, there's only one way to make that happen. Get rid of all the opposing votes." Raziel decided to put her head down and turn tail back to Michaels side, Selene wasn't entirely worried she wouldn't let anything happen to her family.

"Where is Maze." Lucifer asked Amenadiel, "Any minute now, Lucy, I'm sure." he said lowly Lucifer looked at Selene and she decided now was the time and lined up with the girls. Suddenly Selene started to clap starting off the distraction as the girls joined in with a Run the world Medly. Lucifer played it off like he didn't know what was going on, "Did you hear something?"

The girls all gave Michael the cold stare as he killed their perfect acapella medley groove. "You're obviously just stalling." Lucifer huffed as the girls whispered and regrouped themselves, Selene was half temped to just start taking the leap, but she held herself back. "Lucifer!" Maze's vice roared out gaining everyone's attention, to see Maze with a group of Demon possessed guys in prision clothes. "Maze escorted her brother's and sisters into battle like a true leader, "At my command, brothers and sisters!" Maze spoke in Lilim.

It was about time to see Maze finally arrive," how cute. A demon army. But you still don't stand a chance, even with your little human army." Dawn was loading her shot gun and cocked it, "We'll see abut that. We're at least here on our own free will." two angels let their wings unfurl and fly up. "Might want to tell your Girlfriend to get her family out of here. Or they will get hurt."

"Funny, I was going to say the same" Selene said, Michael shook his head, "Don't you know that Bullet's can't hurt us?" Dawn aimed and blasted the wings of the angel in flight, Selene used her power and shocked the other flying angel, making them fall in pain as feathers fell. "You were saying?" Selene feigned innocents as her family grinned preparing for a fight. "Turns out melting down demon blade's into alot of bullet's pretty effective means of a weapon upgrade." Selene said with confidence as Maze blew Michael a kiss.

"So you see brother, we're more evenly matched then you anticipated. Now I know you want to avoid blood shed among our siblings, as do I. So...why don't we just...uh..." Selene was keeping watch on Lucifer walking up to Michael, "You know, shed each other's?" Selene didn't like that Lucifer went there, but this would possibly help even up the score from being sent to Hell.

"Mano a mano?" Michael questioned Lucifer's idea, "Or ala a ala? which means wing to wing in Latin-" Lucifer cut him off, "Got it, yes, thank you. And precisely. I win, godhood is mine. You win, you have my full support, and I'll crawl back to Hell like a good little Devil." Michael had another idea in mind with the grin he bared. "When I win, you won't be crawling anywhere. This is to the death." Michael held up the flaming sword, Lucifer swallowed thickly, "So be it."

Selene didn't like this idea very well, much worse is Lucifer being unarmed, Michael used they key to make the flames appear on the sword. All the angels backed away "I have the flaming sword, you don't stand a-" Lucifer attacked Michael swiftly before Michael could finish speaking, wasting no time to try and disarm Michael. Selene was watching Lucifer dodge the sword, she held her breath hoping this doesn't go wrong.

It was starting to look like Lucifer was losing, barely able to dodge Michael's swing, Selene's heart pounded in her ears as she hoped Lucifer knows what he was doing. "Brother, can I borrow your staff for a moment?" Zadkiel handed it over not sure why, but Amenadiel shouted to Lucifer and tossed him the staff, to which Lucifer managed to catch and block Michael.

The fight between Michael and Lucifer got intense, but Selene felt she could breath easier knowing Lucifer has some kind of defense. The fight ended up taking to the sky, it appeared the plan was working, they almost had Michael at where they wanted. Lucifer wasn't fighting hard like Michael was because he truly cares about his siblings, he doesn't want to hurt anther sibling after what he had done to Uriel. As much as Lucifer was doing all he could to protect himself and get a hit at Michael, but this was emotionally hurting Lucifer to do this.

They matched blow for blow as Selene and her friends and family watched in horror as Lucifer fell from the sky. Selene sprinted on up to where Lucifer was Just in time for him to use his hands and get a hold of the sword "Oh, oh-ho-ho! You're never gonna take this sword from me, brother." Lucifer chuckled in response with his mischievous grin," Dear brother, that was never part of the plan." Michael was confused until Selene came up and grabbed the key.

"Catch me if you can Michael." Selene took the Key and disarmed the blade leaving Lucifer to get the sword while she ran off. Lucifer managed to get Michael to loose the blade and give chase after Selene as her cousins cheered as loud as they could. When Lucifer found the blade he grabbed it feeling victorious that the plan worked. Selene was keeping Michael busy and suddenly shrunk to hide around a pillar.

Her cousins continued to cheer as the angels eyed the humans like they were crazy. Suddenly the sound of wings was behind Lucifer when he looked and saw Azrael had finally shown up. "Azrael. With the Angel of Death on our side, I can't loose." Azrael looked at Lucifer with pity and near tears for her big brother," I- I'm sorry." her voice said was deep sadness. Lucifer didn't understand at first, then realization hit him like a brick." No."

Selene regrew holding the key, "Lucifer! Here!" She gasped for breath that was when Lucifer saw Michael about to attack her," Selene!" before she could react, Michael had taken the end of the staff and stabbed her right though her chest by her heart out under the Xyphoid process. Everyone looked in horror as the girls screamed at the sight of seeing Selene was stabbed.

"NOOOOO!" the girls cried out as Lucifer was just as horrified "Selene!" He cried out when Michael ripped the staff out of her and she fell into a heap as Selene's eyes were widened in shock and pain. Selene fell to a crumpled heap fighting for her life, everyone looked on in horror at what they had witnessed. Anger burned in Maze as well as the hot tears, Selene's family held each other as they started bawling over Selene. Amenadiel had flashback to when he watched Asariel die the same way, he felt helpless then as he dose now.

Lucifer franticly went to Selene's side as she layed on the ground bleeding, gasping for air as pain filled her body, "No! No, no, no! No! No! no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no!" Lucifer began sobbing as he scooped Selene up and held her tightly. "This is all my fault. This is all my fault. I'm sorry." he cradled her in his arm as she was gasping for air. "No... No Lucifer it's not... I chose this. I chose to be by your side." He was crying over her real tears that Michael was watching, Lucifer never felt so helpless before. "Lucifer... It's okay. Don't blame yourself. None of this is your fault." She was struggling to breath as Lucifer continued to sob.

She wasn't use to seeing Lucifer cry like this, she knew her situation was serious, she was struggling to stay anchored to earth, but she was starting to feel the pull. "I knew what I was getting into...being with you...I'm so glad I gotten to know you... your dad... Amenadiel. You turned my life around for the better. One way or another, our paths would have crossed...At least our meeting wasn't short." She lifted a hand to his cheek, "Despite everything I've learned I know one thing I can see everyday that... your brother's and sister's c-can't..." Selene was starting to struggle with her breathing as blood gushed out.

Lucifer was sobbing harder when Selene was starting to shake and rub her thumb along his stubble she sang to Lucifer as loud enough as she could. " I-I see... your true colors... shining though... I see your true colors, That's why I*gasps for air* Love..." She was starting to fade away as her life left her body with her last breath her hand slipped away down his chest,"...You..." she went limp as her eyes closed, she was gone. Lucifer broke sobbing loudly holding her body not wanting to let her go.

Heartbreak, pain, despair, anguish filled Lucifer as he held her close to his chest, his heart ached as he laid her down and cried over her body. Lucifer couldn't contain his emotions as they rushed his body," I told you someone was going to get hurt. Should've taken my words seriously. I bet you she made it to Heaven. Guess that means you'll never see her again. I mean, you really should have taken my offer." Michael said calmly.

Lucifer was trying to reign back his emotions being so emotionally vulnerable in front of his siblings, "This isn't...This isn't right. This isn't right... it's not her time." Michael didn't understand his brother, "What are you babbling about?" Lucifer looked up, "I'm gonna get her back." he said to Michael. He ended up laughing at his brother like it was a joke. "Get her back? Lucifer, come on! Your banishment. You'll die if you go to Heaven."

Lucifer looked at Michael, at this point he was determined to get Selene back, "So be it." he said unfurling his wings and took to the sky. Maze couldn't hold back anymore, as she was about to break the bottled anger she held back, "Maze! hold." Amenadiel commanded as much as emotions were running high in him, "Maze!" Maze refused to listen as she ripped off her cape and screamed out ready to fight in Lilum" Fight!" Maze lead the charge with the demons going after the angels. Selene's cousins were mourning their loss, Amenadiel wasn't happy about it, but him and Zadkiel joined the fight.

Meanwhile in Heaven

Selene was wearing a pink paisley print high low dress with dark brown cowgirl boots, sitting in the feild of horses they use to own and died in their care. Jack was lurking next to Selene grazing, while she was enjoying a picnic with her mom. They were having a good time enjoying each other's company. "I'm glad to see Jack hasn't forgotten about you." Katarina smiled at her daughter," That has always been my worry, mom, I missed alot of time with Jack when I moved to Los Angeles. Now I have a eternity to be with him."

Katerina handed Selene a drink, when she took a sip she remembered the taste of her mother's sun tea. "Mmm, I've always tried to make your sun tea, but I could never get it right." Katarina smiled looking down at Selene, "Barnett family secret. I'm just sorry I never got to show you things I wanted to show you. Now that you have the time to, I can teach you everything I haven't gotten to."

Selene smiled and then suddenly there was something burning like a comet in the sky, this made Selene slightly uneasy when Jack was looking at the direction of the sound, "Mom? Is that normal?" Selene questioned as Katerina looked quite puzzled herself, "Not as far as I know... I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure it's nothing to be alarmed about, this is heaven after all." Selene smiled as she leaned against the wood fence post to the pasture.

That comet like glow in the sky soon vanished as it looked like it disappeared, but what really happen was something hit the ground causing a crater. A woman was out riding when they herd and felt the crash, so she went to investigate. She was met with a deep crater in the ground and then herd the sounds of someone struggling. Cautionly she dismounted and then went over to explore what happened, when a hand appeared and someone was crawling out.

She ended up rushing over once she saw the guy roll down the crater hill, coughing and gasping for air as the dust cleared. Lucifer was struggling to get to his feet, he was surprised he was still alive, gasping for breath. He collapsed right where he was when a woman approached," Are you ok? you don't look so good." Lucifer was still trying to catch his breath when he herd a female voice. Once his vision allowed him to see, he didn't recognize her at first.

"Take it easy, you hit the ground pretty hard there. I've never seen anyone make such a wild entrance into Heaven." she said kneeling down to check him, he rolled over on his back, he was surprised he wasn't burned to a crisp. "Why am I not burning?" he muttered to himself as he looked himself over, then noticed his ring. "I'll be damned. My ring. Lilith's protecting me... but it won't last for long..." he said under his breath." She looked at him confused, "I'm not sure what your rambling to yourself, but you look like you need a hand, just take your time." She held out a hand standing up.

"Who are you?" He asked her wondering if she could help him, "Victoria McKnight. You?" She asked him back helping him up and on his feet." Victori-... oh right. you're Selene's best friend and Rodeo rival." Tori then realized who he was," Ah! I remember you, Selene showed me a picture of you before when she was having her first date with you." He perked up to Selene's name. "Tori, can you take me to her? I must get to Selene." Lucifer pleaded as he didn't want to waste time.

"Yeah, Selene is here." She whistled for her horse, "Mount up." She helped him out and she climbed up and took him for a ride to where Selene was. Meanwhile Selene was taking her time grooming jack while waiting for her mom to get the bath stuff for the horses. When she soon herd a voice, "Selene! Selene!" she paused what she was doing mid stroke in confusion thinking she was hearing Lucifer's voice.

When she turned around she saw Lucifer with Tori," Lucifer?" she was shocked to see him in heaven, but she dropped the brush and ran up just as Lucifer jumped off to hug her tightly. "Lucifer? Wh- what are you doing here?" She was taken off guard, "I've come to get you. It's not your time, Selene." Selene was confused and then remembered, "Oh... that's right...we were in a war...and I'm dead...I left everyone.. and you..." Lucifer nodded," Yes."

Selene was at a loss for words then she realized something when her mother walked up, "So this is the famous Lucifer I've been hearing about that won my daughter's heart." Katerina smiled putting the bucket down. "It's nice to finally meet my hopefully future son in law." she teased as Lucifer was star struck. "Mom, Lucifer. Lucifer, this is my mother, Katerina." Lucifer was grateful to finally meet her mother, "It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Haywood. My only regret is this not being on better terms. I must apologize for this intrusion."

She was remembering everything she saw before she died, but she had no idea how she was getting out of heaven, she hasn't quite transverse planes yet. "It's ok, my moonlight is needed, take good care of each other." Lucifer's breathing began to labor as the weight of heaven was crushing and burning, his divine soul was burning up. "How can we get back to Earth I haven't even tried traversing planes yet?" She asked him and he dropped ot a knee.

Katerina hurried to try and help Lucifer stay on his feet." Easy, Lucifer." Selene had a bad feeling she didn't want to admit. the black n the ring was starting to fade "I'm afraid what's left of this power, can't handle us both." Selene swallowed and made him look at her, "Go. Go without me, Lucifer, I won't leave you to turn yourself into dust for my sake. I can't allow it." Lucifer looked at her dead set in the eyes at he took the ring off much to her objection, and trying to stop him. "Earth needs you, Selene."

"No, Lucifer, no, please you don't have to do this, please save yourself!" She covered his hand feeling his body was starting to burn up, but she didn't care she didn't want to loose the feeling of him. "You're right, I don't. I want to." Tears threated her eyes, "I've lost you once because the demons needed their king! I don't want to loose you like this!"

(Selene's POV Prayer thoughts)

No! Please! Heaven! I beg of you! Don't let me lose him! Please! I love him! Give us a chance... a chance to be happy together! Lucifer deserves happiness! Don't take our happiness away from us! I need him!

(Selene's POV Prayer thoughts end)

The pain was increasing as his body was starting to crackle, "I'm sorry It's taken me so long... gah!... to say this. I've been wanting to and after everything Michael has caused..." He took her hand and slid the ring on as he started to glow and begin combusting. "I love you." he said as her mom backed off of him. "No!" She watched him start to explode with flames, and felt her soul start to fall.

"LUCIFER!" She screamed as she fell back into her body, there was a heavy loud drumming in her ears, and then a sudden rush of agonizing pain, her body healed up, like she was never stabbed in the chest, but the pain scale was off the charts t jolt her awake. She saw blue sky, and out of the upper corner Michael was above her head, he hasn't noticed she was alive again.

Pain, rage, filled her when she was readjusting to her body's senses, she felt something that made pain much worse. She slowly lifted her hand and saw the ring Lucifer had put on her. She felt her body as there was no stab wound just a gaping hole in her romper covered in blood. She tried to see if she could move, to get the blood flow and hopefully feel the rest of her body.

She groaned trying to steady her breathing, she turned her head and saw Maze in rage mode fighting like no tomorrow, soon as the buzzing stopped in her ears she herd the mornful cries of her cousins and friends. "Ragh! Gahhh.." She tried to roll over and noticed Michael turn to her, with a scoff and huff he couldn't believe Lucifer did it. "No way. He actually brought you back."

Selene hated the sound of his voice she was alone now, as the fighting continued soon enough in that moment, they looked towards Michael and saw something they couldn't believe as the fighting stopped. "Lucifer did it." Maze breathed, everyone stopped fighting to see that Lucifer did bring her soul back. "Sel?" Dawn croaked out seeing movement next to Michael.

"Unfortunately your comeback will be short lived." Michael pointed the blade at her, Selene began to change her eyes silver and bright with feral rage. She managed to scramble to her feet. "You." She snarled looking at him, eyes that were far too familiar to Michael, he was seeing Asariel's eyes, he held up the blade ready to stab her with just Azrael's blade.

Selene realized she held the only thing from keeping the blade from becoming the flaming sword, she made the key vanish into darkness "Good-bye, Selene." He had no chance to react as Selene pulled the same maneuver on Michael Lucifer had done, "She's alive! Selene is alive!" Dawn shouted in happiness. Michael wasn't expecting such a hard hit from Selene, she wasn't holding back when she punched him.

"You're going to pay Michael... for everything you've done to me and Lucifer." Michael wasn't expecting such force from her to make him see stars. Her wings popped out for all to see, She shrunk down and flew around Michael making him try to swat her like a fly. She regrew at the right time to kick him hard into the nearest wall before she continued to assult him, she decided to take him to the sky. She didn't take him up to high, just enough that she let him go to belly flop down to earth and dived down after him to nail him in the back with her dead leg, and watch him crash hard to the ground

Michael had no time to use his wings as he hit the ground knocking the wind right out of him. "Are those... Selene's wings?" Amelia said in surprise, the others were still picking their jaw off the floor. Selene landed by the blade and decided to pick it up. Amenadiel saw Selene was the one with the upper hand against Michael, he silently mourned Lucifer, as did Maze. "Well now, Michael. Since your all about fear. How about you get a taste of your own!" A crescent shape moon appeared on her fore head, Michael's vision was blurred as he tried to move.

He looked at Selene and his eyes widened at the raw divine power that was once Asariel's. A hand formed out of the darkness surrounding Selene and reached out for Michael and picked his body up. "Starting now you shall pay for all you done to your brother's and sister's. And lastly... the damage you caused between me and Lucifer!" Michael tried to not let the pain get to him as he struggled to break free, the moment he looked at Selene his eyes widened in horror, Asariel was standing next to Selene. He didn't want to believe it, but he watched them side by side together, wings out they almost look liked twins. Asariel's ghost lifted her hand and rested it on Selene's as if she was going to help Selene. Michael was horrified to see them, fear spread though his body, he couldn't believe his Father's gift to the world would be the one to defeat him.

(Selene's POV thoughts)

I finally got him... Lucifer...

Now, I can finally get peace.

I don't want to kill him, but... perhaps I can let him feel my pain

(Selene's POV thoughts end)

Selene started to crush him more as everyone herd Michael scream, "Because of you... Lucifer is gone. I will never forgive you for what you done." Maze practically relished in the sounds of Selene making Michael suffer. "Never." Her hand started to spark, but her mind wasn't sure about killing him, death is a easy way out.

She made her pain be felt by Michael, She just wanted to end it all. just as she was about to do more harm to Michael "Selene! Don't do it!" Lucifer's voice rang to the sky. Everyone was looking around, confused, as they knew they herd Lucifer's voice loud and clear. Selene froze at the sound of Lucifer. "Luc...ifer?" she turned and looked up to see Lucifer.

Her breath caught in her throat, she knew she watched him explode before leaving heaven... she didn't understand how he's alive. She felt shame, realizing she was about to kill Michael without a second thought. The darkness released Michael and Selene was fixated on Lucifer. "How...but I saw..?" Selene couldn't block the chest pain anymore, her body might have fully healed by the pain from being stabbed was fresh, and debilitating. She put her hand on her chest and tried to take slow breaths and had a feeling not everything has healed.

Everyone began walking up to where the 3 of them stood. Lucifer had collected the blade and key from Selene when she made it appear, "This isn't you." He said and then looked at Michael knowing just what he was going to do. He approached Michael igniting the sword as Michael was trying to get to his feet. "Bend the knee, brother. To the death, right?" Michael finally surrendered himself, on his knees before Lucifer, like a warrior he was ready to deal with what ever Lucifer was going to do. Michael unfurled his disheveled wings, and Lucifer raised the flaming sword and proceed to slice off Michael's wings in front of everyone.

The girls were happy to see Selene was alive. There were a round of happy tears, but also a strange presence from Lucifer. "No more Killing. If my time on earth taught me, everyone can use a second chance... even me. And you Michael" Selene touched Lucifer, "I can't believe you survived...I.. I saw you combust...how is this possible."

Lucifer had no idea why but before he could answer, he saw everyone else acting strange. Amenadiel nodded and was the first to kneel to Lucifer. One by one they knelt down to their new god, even Michael couldn't resist kneeling before his godly brother. Selene stood next to him, her wings still out and watched as Dawn and everyone knelt before Lucifer. It felt weird to Selene as she never expected her family to kneel, she thought it was the fact he was god now.

Maze and Amenadiel looked at Lucifer with pride of what he had accomplished. Lucifer raised up his sword he didn't know what to think about this moment, "Oh, my me!" he looked up. Selene smiled at Lucifer, she was feeling a lot now, but she knew this much she needed several blunts to kill the pain in her chest.

That night Selene was standing on the penthouse balcony, freshened up in a shower and in clean clothes, with a drink in hand just trying to process the fact that she died. But not just her death was on her mind, the sacrifice Lucifer had done just so she could go on living. She was looking at the ring on her finger she missed the fact it use to be a black stone was actually Lilith's immortality making it that way. It was strangely felt like she was dreaming, but she was in fact awake.

(Selene's POV thoughts )

Today is such a crazy day... but I guess this means Lucifer's God now.. perhaps now we can enjoy our time together.

no more interruptions, but plenty more dates.

I guess I've learned something new... I knew I pushed my boundaries a bit at the rodeo...but I guess this means my body is truly mortal...kinda bummer...but I'll admit coming back to life was much more physically painful due to being stabbed though the chest. Very weird experience I don't ever want t go though again.

(Selene's POV thoughts end)

The elevator dinged and Lucifer walked out with some take out dinner, "Dinner's here." Selene turned around to smile at him she made her way over to the bar to eat. "Great, I'm starving." Lucifer pulled out the dinner he ordered, he noticed something was on Selene's mind.

"Is everything all right?" He asked as she was a bit on the stone side, "Yeah, yeah I'm- I'm good I'm not in much pain as I was. I'm not entirely sure what felt worse, being stabbed or coming back, it was a really strange experience not sure if I'd want to go though that again" Selene looked at the ring and then slipped it off her finger and held it out to him.

"You can have this back I don't need it anymore. Besides, I can't see you without it. Your hand looks naked without it." Lucifer didn't expect for her to return the ring, but he took it and couldn't help but agree, he did feel naked he was use to wearing the ring for so long plus it was sentimental.

"But in all seriousness I got a lot to process. Everything was going so well with our plan to get the piece to render the sword flameless, then I died...watched you combust in Heaven, and coming back to life only to loose my head and was going to kill Michael." Selene wasn't quite sure how to feel about it when she said it out loud. "Overall, I'm happy we can finally have a peaceful life permanently here in LA."

Lucifer smiled at her," Yes. As am I. Quite frankly as much as my father dropping the bombshell that Hell doesn't need a watch dog anymore pissed me off, it feels good to not have to run back to hell, which reminds me I still have yet to award that job title to Maze." Selene smiled at Lucifer," We have plenty of time for that Lucifer. Let's enjoy the fact that this is all over, an the fact you got to meet my mother." She teased.

"As a matter of fact, Luce, you're God now. Do you feel any different?" She asked as Lucifer took a sip of his drink pondering about it, "I don't think so, I feel like I'm still me." Selene smiled at him, "That's a relief I hate for you to start acting like you're not yourself. This whole you being God thing is something were both going to have to get use too." She began to eat, enjoying the taste of food she wasn't going to take for granted.

"I'm sure we can handle this, I mean, nothings going to change. Well maybe some minor things but otherwise, nothing." Lucifer seemed overconfident with himself but that was ne of his charms Selene likes about him. Selene was relived but something still worried her and she wasn't quite sure what it would be. Selene's phone was blowing up with messages from the guys they were worried about how the war went. Selene knew the girls wouldn't speak of her death, they were traumatized enough having to watch her die before them.

She replied to them all fast and went back to eating, she was still feeling sore and slight exhaustion, but as much as she should be resting she was active and didn't want to sit around as much as she would love to. Once they finished eating it was time to get ready to go down to Lux for the private party. Selene took the time to go to the bathroom while Lucifer made sure the coast was clear, he was thinking about going though with it, as much as he finally proclaimed his love, he was also ready to take the leap in their relationship.

He had a long time to gather his thoughts and advice though Dr. Linda, he wasn't quite sure before on when he felt was the right time, but he quickly got in his safe and slip the ring into his pocket, shut the safe just in time to hear Selene was done and acted casual when she came out. "Shall we get down and party it up with everyone?" he asked making her smile. Selene didn't suspect a thing and smiled, "Let's not keep them waiting although even if we did they know some quality us time is much, much needed." Selene walked with him to the elevator and pressed the button. They both stepped in together, they were holding hands like a real couple as the door closed.
