Hello my readers! Sorry things took so long for the season 6 intro of this story, I'm not entirely pleased with this chapter I know it's short cause I had a difficult time figuring out how to make things work. I will be soon getting a new laptop as the one I have now my o key is starting to fail and a few other cosmetic issues. So if there's any words I forgot to add a o to it was probably meant to be "to" or "too'' I might not have caught cause I'm editing this on Mobile. I did fix the last chapter issues so it's readable if you haven't read it. So enjoy.

Selene was enjoying spending the last day on Earth with her horses, and planned to make sure all arrangements are finalized before leaving for Heaven. Now that the time to leave Earth was causing a war within herself, She didn't want to leave Earth permanently, but she was also looking forward to learn new things from her mom, and she can work with Jack again. She still had a lot to figure out, like her calling, she still had no idea what she's meant to do, after trying to figure it out back in Nashville.
She wasn't looking to leave this world without any regrets, while still looking forward to the date Lucifer has instore for them tonight. She still needed to find something to wear, knowing she should put effort into looking her best for the soon to be God. After finishing her chores by mid afternoon, Selene began to take the time to relax with a nice drink and joint, humming a song. She began to slightly abuse her powers by letting the shadows help do the dishes and getting her house clean just to cut down time and have longer to figure out how to dress.
She was curious on just what kind of date Lucifer had planned, she felt they were finally on same page, especially after spending a lot of time on her family farm with the family working hard. Luckily, she still had some high heels she had for dressing up for performing, normally she would never wear the same dress twice, but she wanted to go out in something sexy and classy. After 20 minutes of searching, she found her perfect dress, a black glittered asymmetrical small side slit ruffle rutched mini dress with a sweetheart neckline and short off shoulder sleeved bodycon dress.
It felt like a perfect time to show this dress off, since she had yet to ever wear it for anything. She got everything she needed, even her engagement ring, and headed for a quick shower to get dressed and ready. She was singing in the shower to the music on her phone then it started to blow up with messages, much to her annoyance of killing a good mood while getting ready for her date. She knew what it was without even having to look, reality was setting back in her mind along with depression.
She wanted this though, but anther feeling was creeping in her mind. Guilt. She began to doubt if she's even worthy of this much level of success in her life, to earn the 'Goddess' status, she was going to rule the wor- universe, she was leaving a lot of things behind, to be by Lucifer's side. She knew she was also going to be spending a lot of time with his siblings, as much most of the angels have seen the error of their ways about Lucifer, and humanity.
Selene stuck her head under her shower hoping the hot water would wash away all the feelings she had about her last day on Earth. With a big sigh she turned off the water and got out, dried off and answered messages on her phone. She got down to brushing out her hair and then styling it into a french twist, feeling like having bit of classy updo, with her side sweep bangs. They agreed to meet up at the date location, since Lucifer had a appointment he needed to go to.
Once she was dressed and ready she made sure she was going to have the best last night of her life. She got in her jeep and made her way to her destination singing along to songs about California, taking extreme caution over her speed limit even if she might not be on Earth much longer she was tempted to break a few road laws for shiggles.
When she arrived she was in awe of the building, looking like a mansion, she soon saw Lucifer arrive just as she let the valet park for her. She made sure to not have anything out of place on herself especially any ashes from her cigarette. Selene slipped out and walked the red carpet to meet up with him handing off his keys. Lucifer looked at her quite speechless of the way she had presented herself, he couldn't help but stare her down, "You look ravishing tonight, Selene."
She smiled at him, "I could say the same but you always look so handsome and dapper. Even now, in this white suite. I like it on you." He chuckled and sighed holding out his arm," Shall we my dear?" Selene smiled at him, she took his arm and the went inside together. "I can't wait to show you this." he grinned as they made their way inside. Selene was anxiously awaiting to see what made him so excited to be in this place.
Once inside she saw a lot of high end stuff and a lot of old posters of Magicians, the first thought was wondering if the owner of the place was a big fan of magicians and anything magic related, she felt it was a odd theme for such a nice elegant place, it didn't feel like she was in the Mulan Rouge either. "Believe it or not, Darling, this place is the only private club for magicians. Apart from the one that I started with Rasputin. The Romanovs were furious."
"Really? THE Romanovs?" Lucifer looked with pride, "Yes, that very same family. It was tragic what happened to them. truly tragic." Lucifer said with a hint of guilt. Selene was fascinated with him even more, "I wish I known you when I was taking history online classes, I was doing a report on that family." Lucifer chuckled, "As I was saying Dai Vernon... Do you know who Dai Vernon is?" He asked her as she thought for a second, " Name rings a bell wasn't he...the professor I believe? Right?"
"Yes, exactly! He was the professor. You see, Dai Vernon challenged a young David Copperfield to a drinking contest at that bar right there." Selene was fascinated with the history lesson. Lucifer let out a memorable sigh, "1971. I refereed." Selene looked at him curious, "Oh? Who won?" Lucifer looked at her with a grin, "Me, of course. I couldn't help myself." he chuckled then gasped, "Oh, my Gosh. I don't believe it. Look, right in the corner."
Selene looked at the direction he was looking, slight bit confused "Hmm?...Wait...is that?" Lucifer nodded, "That is Jon Armstrong, one of the greatest card magicians in the world." Selene was taking it all in before he take her up the set of stairs next to them, "Oh! Uh, be on the look out for secret passages. Shh!" he chuckled as she followed him up the stairs. "You know, I never really ever got to explore what all of Los Angeles had to offer, for as long as I've came here on tour, I always did try to visit all the 5 star tourist rating places to visit. I never knew about this place, but being exclusive as it is I would never have got to see what this place is like."
Selene smiled and looked at lucifer as they grabbed a drink, "Don't get me wrong, you do look amazing as always, but...I don't know a magic show for our last date night on earth? I wouldn't mind actually going to a concert or a trip to party city or even somewhere there's a big fair going on with Rodeo shows, monster truck, and all the fattening deep fried greasy foods to eat." Lucifer looked at Selene as the greasy fatty food truck dinner didn't sound so bad, recalled the last food truck owner that ended up dead in a murder case didn't deter his love for food trucks.
"What's wrong with Magic for our last night on earth?" Lucifer asked innocently, "Nothing. I haven't seen a magic act since well, I managed to catch Chris Angel doing a street show, I never understood how it all worked to make it so...believable." Lucifer stopped her as he caught people coming though with props. "I can't say I am a fan of it." She added as he looked at her, "What? not a fan of the cunning and deception? What's not to love about it?"
"Well, I see your point. It's something different." She said as they continued to walk, "So.. I understand tomorrow you'll become God.. and know everything. I love that you're willing to share something you enjoy so much." Selene smiled, "Ah, yes. Well, about that. On the way over, I was thinking we have been having far too much fun together, I know we still have plenty of time to spend together to make up for lost time. Why don't we just extend our time her on earth a little longer? I mean really do we need to start tomorrow?"
"Lucifer. are you getting cold feet about being God? we already pushed the coronation once...I get it your siblings aren't too thrilled you're the new God-to be, but you proved how much you've changed, and you worked so hard to keep it from Michael." Selene looked at him waiting for a excuse. "Eventually, we will get there I assure you not like the sky is gonna fall." Selene hummed in thought knowing everything was fine when God was on earth for a while.
"I don't know about that...I mean hea-" soon they herd the bell for the show to start." Mm! Hold that thought darling, the shows about to start. Come on." he lead her to a table to sit and enjoy the show. "This is why we are here tonight, the final show of Magnar the Magnificent." She had a loving gaze at Lucifer likening to see him so happy like this like a little kid. Man- child or not she could see his eyes are lit up in excitement, she found him plenty adorable.
"This guy? His act is a 100 year old stunt." Lucifer smiled looking at her," 120 years, to be precise. The first Magnar created one of the most flawless act's in all of magic, then he handed down the Mantle to his protégé, And it's been handed down ever since. Tonight is a super-exclusive show" Selene was somewhat fascinated," So like a knock off Harry Houdini?" she asked him and he downed his drink, "I suppose you could say that, he too was a fine magician I had the pleasure of getting to know."
Selene secretly envied Lucifer, for being a immortal being and being able to meet all the great people though out time and history, even helped them get their desires and brought them success.. and some not so much.."Mr. Morningstar!" the hostess said," Right this way." He let out a sigh holding his drink, "Oh. Cannot wait."
As the show was going on without a hitch, Lucifer looked like he was having fun the most, Selene was an analyzer trying to figure out every detail of the show, she always had a keen eye for detail, and was pleased as well to see Lucifer so happy. It got down to the final act of the night for Magnar, "And now ladies and gentlemen, My final act on stage...I will literally conquer death and emerge resurrected!" The audience was filled with oohs and ahhs clapping when he climbed inside the small box. Selene really saw the light of happiness though Lucifer as she had to figure this had to be his favorite act.
They watched Magnar disappear into the box, as his assistant Erika locked him in and brought out the swords to stab though. Selene watched Lucifer's reactions of being jumpy with each sword put in the box, she found him to be even more adorable. Selene sipped on her drink, when the assistant looked the the audience after finishing stabbing the box, "Resurrection!" She opened what looked to been a mummy's coffin and out tumbled out was a body with a sword.
The audience reaction was shocking, but Selene noticed something was wrong, "Uh...I'm not a expert on Magic, but...I don't think this is how the act was suppose to go..." she said as everyone realized the body that came out was dead. Lucifer dead stop clapping as they both leaned in and noticed something a miss. Selene immediately called LAPD to inform them of a possible murder, and Selene and Lucifer secured the crime scene until the LAPD arrive. Selene let some of her power slip and made sure everyone stayed calm and away from the body.
"Poor Magnar." Lucifer shook his head "Still, at least he died knowing his illusion was never revealed." Selene was inspecting the set not touching anything, "Yeah...I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary...judging by the body...he was murdered recently...rigor mortis hasn't settled in... he wouldn't have tumbled out like he did, he would have fallen like a statue..." she said as there was a sound of knocking from the stage.
"Do you hear that? it's coming from the box?" Selene grabbed the key and unlocked the box Magnar did his act in and Selene revealed the real Magnar. "Magnar! he's done it again." Lucifer chuckled as Selene gave him a look. "What's going on? Erika how could you miss your cue?" Selene looked between them, "If he's there... then who's the eerie look alike body double?" Magnar looked in horror when he realized something was wrong by everyone's face.
"Oh, God." Magnar managed to say as Selene helped get him out of the box, "Thank you my dear." Selene looked at Magnar, "Do you know him?" Selene asked Magnar he nodded pacing around," Jared Holbrook. My protégé." Selene looked between him and the body, "I take it this wasn't what you had rehearsed?" She asked reading Magnar closely. "I'm afraid not. No." In amidst of explaining things Lucifer covered his ears not wanting to hear the secrets.
"Do you know if anyone had a problem with him? or you perhaps...this could been a case of mistaken identity with you two dressed alike the resemblance is a little eerie" Suddenly there was a voice, "Woah." A man dressed a suite came out by Magnar. "I'm a lawyer. My father doesn't have to answer theses questions." Selene became suspicious about a lawyer showing up suddenly. "With all respect, I'm afraid he dose, especially since he's close to the victim, he's going to need to talk to the LAPD about him, by not allowing it you are with holding crucial information especially if it was his life the killer was after, and not Jared." Selene spoke sternly.
"Alan, you're a entertainment lawyer."Magnar reminded him, Selene read the energy between them and she didn't like the taste in her mouth. She couldn't put her finger on it but something bothered her, "Well, no worries, we are not the LAPD. Right, Selene?" Lucifer said as she nodded, "Right. Terrible habit, I use to help out so much with the LAPD I guess I, just couldn't help myself." suddenly the door open and there was a familiar voice.
"I can't believe it! the last 6 weeks I've been dragging my bag to Luciferless crime scene, and now boom! You and Selene are witnesses, oh this is amazing! I mean... not so much for you two, or the dead guy." Carol Corbett walked in, "It would be nice to have the help for old time sakes." Ella said as Selene smiled. "It's nice to see you too Ella. As much as we would love to help out..." Ella got the hint in all smile, "Right! No worries. We will get you back to your date night. Must be weird to be on the other end as Suspects."
"Well, I'm use to it I mean look at all the cases involved me in one way or another." Selene said, "So how are you Ella and the newbie detective, Carol?" Ella got all giddy and bright, "Great! Well, he's not Lucifer but-" Speak of the devil just as Carol walked up, "Mr. Morningstar. Miss Haywood. It's funny to see you two here." Selene smiled at Carol and then really saw the chemistry energy mixing between him and Ella.
"Please, drop the formality's any friend of Dan's is a friend of ours. As much as I would love to help out again with another murder case, believe me I would," Selene looked at Ella, "I'm actually enjoying my retirement from entertainment and I really would love to get back to our date night." Selene looked at Carol, "I know I've said this before at the Funeral, I'm glad you transferred out here, I love the energy you give off, the department can use that energy."
Carol was slightly embarrassed, "What are you some sort of psychic reader?" Selene smiled," I wouldn't say that... But seriously, it's needed besides a uptight ass of a detective...I'm sure you know from experience the kind I mean." Carol let out a hearty laugh," Yes. Yes, as a matter of fact I do.. I had two of them in my last department." Selene winked at Ella and smiled, "Well, I think we will just get out of your way and let you guys do what you need to, after giving our statements."
"Don't worry we will let Chloe know you said hi as well. She's working on another case at the moment." Ella said as Carl chimed in, "Well I would also like to thank you for keeping everyone calm and made sure no one touched the body." Selene smiled," Yes, well someone had to do it." Lucifer had to interrupt, "Well I'm happy I don't have to have Magic ruined for the rest of my life, and we can still make the 8:30 show in the parlor, so If you don't mind." Selene took a hold of Lucifer.
"Lucifer. We really should stay here I mean not that were suspects or anything but we are at a crime scene you know protocol. No one leaves the crime scene until all witnesses have been talked to." Carol gave Lucifer a look, "She's right, but after you give your statements you will be released." Lucifer tried to hold a smile, "That's.. fantastic news." he huffed out a deep sigh, Selene smiled, "It's alright Lucifer, sooner we get it over with the sooner we can get back to our date, neither one of us knew we were gonna be at a murder scene. I'm going to get a fresh drink."
Selene left Lucifer to head over to the bar and ordered up another drink, mentally sighing feeling like she's living with some form of bad luck to be drugged into another case after the amount she had gotten involved with in the past. All this luck of winding up part of murder investigation she was nearly tempted to give the LAPD a try if she could get into the academy. As much as she hated school the thought crossed her mind quite often beginning to wonder if it's a sign or a omen.
While lost in her thought a guy slides his drink and right up to her, she didn't realize at first then he made the first move, "Hey, I haven't seen you around here before. I'm Keaton call. You probably know me though Instagram Bromagic69." he held up his hand like a woman would, made her first instinct believe he was either gay or a drag queen. She held up her engaged hand," Sorry I'm not available. I have never herd of you...Not one for Magic."
Keaton chuckled," Well if you ever want to see the future of Magic, you know where to look." Selene was feeling slightly uncomfortable with him she wished Lucifer would step in but after they had seen Ella she figured he was catching up with her. "Uh, Yeah. I'll check it out sometime. Thank you." she tried to be sweet with her southern charm.
"You know, If Magnar had made me his apprentice would still be alive." Selene gave Keaton a side glare, "Not saying that my work save's lives, but..." he chuckled and she butted in, "So you know Magnar?" He nodded as she became interested, "I was his apprentice before Jared. Yeah. Damn, Jared. That could've been me getting stabbed, if I haven't discovered social media." Selene took a bit of interest not that she wanted to. "My problem is I'm a innovator. I see the future. All theses other old fogies, they're stuck in the past." Selene couldn't help but agree why no one could come up with something new and creative instead of bringing back old magic tricks that are outdated.
"Meanwhile, my phone is blowing up. AGT, Vegas. Magnar's climbing in the coffins. I'm on a rocket. Yeah." Selene was pretending to be impressed, "Wow, I bet other's are jealous of your success. You walking away getting all the high pay gigs, while others are just sticking to private shows." Keaton shook his head "Nah. Magnar he-...Well, yes a lot of people do hate on me for my success, and shown that there jealous of course. Not Magnar. no, he's a sweet old man, we still are pretty tight."
"I'm surprised you're not the murdered victims, I mean, I seen what jealously dose to people. It's not pretty on that end. Has anything been out of the ordinary tonight? Anyone act a little more... threating to Jared or even maybe Magnar?" Keaton thought about it, "No. Not that I've noticed I was with him during his pre show ritual at the bar having Magnar Mai Tai, the usual." Selene thought that was strange, "So he had a drink with you...why not his protégé? you think if it was some debut performance...as a former performer myself speaking from experience...he would drink with Jared. How close to show time dose he have a drink?"
Keaton chuckled, "He goes from the car, to the bar stool, to the curtain." Something didn't add up as she tried to piece the time line. Selene shook her head not wanting to get involved in police work "So. You're a former performer yourself eh?" he looked her over, "What did you use do." He was trying to be sneaky and put his hand on her but she grabbed him." Don't. Touch. Me unless you want to feel the wrath of the former Rodeo Queen Champion." She glared at him. and she noticed there was a strange bracelet on her wrist she didn't have before" Oooh. Alright alright...but surely there must be something between us since we are twinning."
She noticed he was wearing the same thing, she was full on creeped out she needed to find Lucifer." I'm gonna just..." she got up to leave slipping off the bracelet taking her new drink that was put in front of her with her. Once she was away from him she tried to conceal a shudder of disgust hoping she can find Lucifer before they get interviewed. She began to pull Carol aside and slip him some information, that he seemed to have already gotten, when Lucifer walked into the room.
"Listen miss. Haywood. I appreciate the help, I know you were Dan's informant-" Selene was taken aback by that, "Wait.. Dan said that? I never knew he saw me as such. We were just friends nothing more..." The news stunned her, "Well, he has spoken highly of just about everyone." Selene smiled," I'm sorry I really try to stay out of LAPD's way I don't want to step on toes...much as I try to stay away...one case or another leads back to me in some form." Carol nodded, "You have nothing to worry about here. You and Lucifer are free to go I don't see a reason to keep you two from your date night."
"Oh, Well that's a relief to hear right, honey?" Lucifer said walking up "Shall we take our leave now?" Ella ran up before she could answer Lucifer. "Hold up I just confirmed. Jared was killed sometime in the last two hours." Selene didn't seem pleased by that she huffed, "Then we can't leave. No one has left since we got here...the killer must still be here then." Ella nodded," and that door is the only way out"

Ya know what... the more I think about it I think I wouldn't mind moving to heaven to live permanently if it means I never have to be apart of police cases again.
What else can go wrong?

"So who's up for a all nighter?" Ella smiled and Selene chugged her drink, "I got nothing to hide I've never been here before so interrogation will be easy one." She stated as she left to go back to the bar for another drink. They spent the next hour or so interrogating everyone even Selene and Lucifer. When Selene was done after Lucifer she went looking for him slightly displeased, "Hey. What did you say to Carol?" Lucifer looked up at her with a straight face, "The truth. I never tell a lie." Selene sighed. "I love that you do tell the truth, but what ever you said just made you a suspect."
Lucifer made a face," that's absurd. I'd never murder a magician, A mentalist maybe, but not a artist like Jared." Selene sighed, "We know this, but this is a detective that's going by the books. He won't let you off the hook even if I give my word you have been with me the whole time showing me around. We need a miracle alibi to prove your not the killer." just as Selene said that Carol walked out, "Your alibi checks out." he said making Selene and Lucifer look at him.
"Yep the motorcycle cop called and confirmed your story. You two are free to go and enjoy the rest of your night." Selene was surprised by this but she didn't want to Jinx things, "That's great news." She smiled at Carol left them be. "Now we can get on with the next stage of our lives and not have to get involved." Lucifer said as Selene hummed, "Eh...I was thinking of helping out...I mean I don't want to see the wrong person end up in jail...it wouldn't be right. But aren't we in the next stage of our life I mean, you already put your coronation on delay before and you want to delay it longer. Is there a reason for that?"
"I...Uh, Well...It's just that...we have been having s much fun and all I've really wanted was to be able to spend time with you and not have anything get in the way." Selene smiled, "Look, I get it. The thought to become God it's not a easy choice especially since you and Amenadiel made a life here on earth. I don't blame you if you're feeing torn about this big change. I don't blame Amenadiel for not wanting the position because of Charlie. I know you're still uncomfortable with heaven as well, with all the painful memories. It's not a easy choice for me either, Lucifer. Yes I'll get to see my dead mother more, I want that more then anything, I just don't want to have regrets and nothing to fall back on."
Lucifer nodded," Right. Understood" Selene smiled, "We really should try to dig into what the issue is and find the truth under the excuses. we can't keep putting off your coronation you don't want to loose respect of your brother's and sisters and cause a uproar. Especially after the truth of the past and they know that everything's been Michael's fault, not yours. You're going to make yourself look bad blowing this off." Lucifer began to think about it knowing she was right.
Selene left Lucifer alone to let him talk to Ella abut something as Selene decided to go on a investigation spree she just couldn't ignore her celestial senses that something wasn't right. she was feeling guilty doing this behind Carol's back as much as she couldn't help herself she was mentally cursing under the sun and tried to stop and just eavesdrop on conversations acting casually, making it look like she was trying to figure out where the bathroom could be.
It wasn't long until Carol had to have Selene's help to run things over and figure out the facts since he was hitting a dead end. "Miss Haywood. Selene, I am in a tough situation, I could really use the help to see the big picture here. You and I both know the killer is still here, and without clues and leads...I got nothing." Selene frowned, "It happens...I was thinking maybe it wasn't as much of a murder but a suicide...but normally there would be a note...although that depends there has been suicides without a "dear john" letter. Someone must know something, or heard something even if it wasn't anything relevant it could have been a small detail missed." she shrugged.
"Without anything else to go on I can't keep holding theses people much longer. As much as I don't want to enlist your help...I could really use it." Selene agreed, "Well clearly something abut this whole thing just doesn't sit well...keaton checked out...so did Erika, no ne feels off to me...no ones even acting out of the ordinary either...you think the killer would be trying to escape by now... after the evidence found..." Carol was looking over the notes with her," It's a frame job but who and why frame a former apprentice and murder the current one?"
"The name maybe? the Magnar name is worth a lot of money. there's whispers of a media deal in the works, but when I talked to Magnar abut it he said he would never sell. Neither one would." Something clicked in her head," if that's the case... how did the deal even get made? who bena...fits..." realization hit her on who the killer is, "Wait...what kind of Law dose the son prat-" Suddenly Alan snatched Selene up and held her at Knife point.
Selene remained calm she was use to this situation by now, "Okay, everyone. Stay cool." Carol said as Alan Laughed, "Cool? Do you wanna know what's cool? A billion dollar franchise. But, nah, Magic isn't cool. It's art, Right, Dad?" Selene saw the hurt on Magnar's face, "Is that what this is about? Money?" Selene took hold of Alan and increased his emotions to speak the truth and let out a full confession. "No! Dad. This is about Your Legacy! I was going to help you bring it to every home in the world. But instead, you cut me out, and appointed Jared."
"So you were jealous. Because you felt your father had replaced you, because of that Jealously you murdered his apprentice, and try to frame a nice guy who's a social media star already on his own to save yourself." Alan was seething, "No. It's because of honor and tradition bullshit is what got him killed." Selene was seeing the big picture, "So that's it? That's why you murdered Jared because you knew your father wouldn't cave on the deal, but you hoped Jared would, so his refusal made you mad?"
"No. The deal was already set up, all that he had to do was sign and cash checks, but he didn't. He was just as stubborn as the last Magnar!" He was starting to cause Selene some discomfort with his arm around her and the knife ready to kill her next. "Wait. you sharpened a knife that was meant to be dull, framed Keaton because he was next in line if Jared didn't work out...because he can make deals on his own with him being media savvy." Selene said calmly. Alan was getting upset and Selene was intensifying his emotions.
"This is all your fault!" he said point the knife at his father, Selene saw the shock and heartbreak in Magnar, "You and your selfishness! You're to blame!" Lucifer laughed amused by Alan blaming his father, "Selfishness? All you ever cared about was your own greed and desire. You are the one who's selfish." Carol had his gun ready aimed at Alan, Selene was remaining calm, "He doesn't care about the consequences and look at what you've done! You are not worthy of your father's legacy!" Lucifer said as Selene began to wonder if that is how Lucifer truly feels out of this whole situation with him becoming God.
"Think about it Alan. Just drop the knife. You know there is no way out of here." Carol said as Selene was starting to feel like she was being choked as his grip on her tightened. "That's where you're wrong. I may not be a magician... but I grew up here." Alan moved the blade from Selene's neck, but proceeded to take her with him as a hostage when he opened up a secret door and disappeared with Selene.
Lucifer hurried over but the door closed before he could. Carol was just as frustrated now that they knw it was true there was a secret passage way, Lucifer banged on the door and Carol holstered his gun, "Someone find me something to pry this open with!" just as everyone was coming back from the shock Lucifer ended up breaking the door before anyone could find something to use. Ella and Carol looked at each other as Lucifer disappeared inside the room to find Selene.
He looked all over following the passage calling out for Selene. He lost her once and he wasn't about to lose her again, he began to get worried as he kept moving hoping for a hint, "If you harm her I will break every-" Soon Alan could be seen flying and crashing in front of Lucifer, Selene was dusting off her dress of the cobwebs. Lucifer was confused when Alan laid unconscious from being thrown by Selene "I'm alright, Lucifer." Selene said, "Nothing I can't handle." Lucifer was relived by this, "Right. I often forget you're not entirely human."
Carol managed to catch up to Lucifer in time, to see Alan was knocked cold. "You really should have more faith in me Lucifer. I'm not a damsel, and we needed a confession. I suspected Alan had to be the killer, especially after how quick he was to stop his father from asking questions." Lucifer smiled, "I think it's time we went home for the evening. What do you think?" Selene smiled, "Yes. I'm ready for our night to end." Carol arrested Alan as Selene expressed condolences to Magnar having to see his son arrested when they got out of the secret passage before taking their leave.
When they got back to the penthouse Selene slipped her shoes off and tossed them aside when the elevator door opened up to the penthouse. "That was a eventful night. I'm glad it's over now, it was even better to get a chance to see Ella again. I really should have tried to hang out with her more, instead of crossing paths at a crime scene. Seems like she's doing well, ever since that whole Pete drama. Nice to see her back to herself." she said walking over to the couch and relaxed.
"As am I." Lucifer went to the bar and made them up a drink, while Selene lit up a joint. After he made them a drink he too got comfortable on the couch with Selene. "Other then ending up solving a murder tonight, it was enjoyable." Lucifer smiled sipping on his drink, "Mm. And it felt right to be right abut the secret passage. Lux has one as well...multiple really." Selene laid her head on him. "Lucifer, I herd what you said to Magnar's son...You and Alan aren't the same. I know it's hard struggling to feel worthy of something, look how long it took for you to feel worthy of me, even though you always have been. You are worthy of your father's legacy."
Lucifer scoffed, "It's not the issue of worth. It's... the job description. God needs to be selfless. He needs to care about all of humanity." he sighed as she put her free hand on his, " Well, you are those things, I mean sure you don't care about all of humanity, but you built a bond and have done a lot more for people you crossed path's with, helping them achieve their desires. that right there is selfless, you worked hard improving yourself, and it shows. You're not the same playboy you use to be, yes you've had downfalls but everything in life is Trial and Error. You worked the hardest too keep humanity's safe from Michael's reign. You've earned your place back in Heaven." She said to him.
"You've risked forcing your way to heaven to bring me back, even if you had Lilith's immortality to protect you...you still did it, I believe heaven felt you were worthy of a second chance at life. You wouldn't be here with me if Heaven didn't feel that way. I can't think of a more selfless act by risking your life to give me another chance at life." Lucifer smiled putting his arm around her. "That's just it. I love you, Selene Haywood. I'd do anything for you. Except give up on us. You have been so patient with me through everything, I can't claim to know what will happen to me if I were to take father's throne. Because I don't know what will happen, I'm scared of what could happen. What it would mean for us."
"It's normal to be scared. the future is worrisome, because we don't know where it could lead us, and I've told you what ever happens I'm always going to support you, even if you have to stay in Heaven, I'm able to come and go as I please now, thanks to your guidance on how to hop planes, It would never be over for us. I'm not scared of what the future holds for us, I love you Lucifer Morningstar, what ever challenges awaits us, we will face it head on together, and figure things out."
"Really?" He questioned as she nodded he kissed her. Her words got him thinking as she smoked her joint they began to share together, within a hour Selene had fell asleep leaving Lucifer to smoke the roach, then carried her off to his bed and tucked her in. Part of him decided to take this time to go visit Dan in hell, but it doesn't seem like the visit wasn't very long since he stopped Dan's hell loop, to have a chat and protect him from torture.
After Lucifer's visit, something strange began happening, at the top of Hell's throne, a storm like phenomena then a strange person appeared on the throne.
