(Selene's diary of thoughts)

Hard to believe it's been a month since the war for God's throne, A lot has happened since. Lucifer and I finally got time together. We needed it. No one could tell us otherwise. I know Lucifer isn't in a rush to go to heaven, honestly, I can't blame him, the painful memories of being banished is still an emotional scar on him. Although, I am proud that he overcame that when he came to Heaven to find me. He was willing to die in Heaven just so I can live.

I'm happy we are alive and can continue our lives now. I still can't believe Lucifer and I are engaged. I'm so happy we are, I mean we had a rough reunion, his brother, his father, too much celestial problems last few months. I'm glad that we got out of LA for a while. We really needed the getaway. Plans are still up in the air right now, but Lucifer was considering us taking over the family business. I'm not against the idea, it's just I don't want to see Lucifer burn himself out with juggling so much responsibilities, like being God and still running Lux and my family's business.

Okay I wouldn't mind if that war for God's throne could have been avoided. I fear that the pressure of everything is going to break him. so, I can't blame him if he so wishes to not become God, I haven't quite figured out things myself, fighting Michael and bringing peace felt incredible, it was a rush to go all out on someone.

The down side of things is I don't know what I'm going to do with myself with all the extra time on my hands. Well, besides doing wedding plans. Maybe I'll take a trip to Heaven and visit mom if I'm bored enough. I've grown to love my wings and the fact I can fly. Since I've visited Heaven... I wonder if I'll ever get to see Hell.

(Selene's diary of thoughts end)

The next morning there was sounds of laughter though out the penthouse, as well as the sounds of things breaking. before they knew it Selene and Lucifer crashed on the bed, catching their breath. Selene's hair was a mess as well as Lucifer's hair, after another round of sex. they were both on cloud nine after their marathon sexapade. "If I had known all this time that I just needed to let go and love you, I would have done it a lot sooner if I knew the sex would be this incredible." Selene chuckled and turned her head to Lucifer, "Your invulnerabilities have some extensive good uses as well." she referred to all the broken furniture and the walls.

"Yes. I suppose there is some perks to being invulnerable." just as Lucifer landed in for a kiss the Elevator dinged, "Lucifer!" Amenadiel called out earning a heavy sigh from Lucifer, "Would it kill you to knock?" Selene had a feeling Amenadiel would be popping up at some point to push Lucifer to go through with being God. "Your door is an elevator, Lucy!" Lucifer sighed and got out of bed and proceeded to flash his brother while putting on his robe. "How's it hanging big guy?" he said with a smile making Amenadiel roll his eyes until he covered himself, "Your return to Heaven has been requested."

"Oh, the more things change." Lucifer teased as Amenadiel held a straight face, "You said this was the morning you would ascend. Yet here you are, in bed, scantily clad. talk about things not changing." Lucifer gave him a feigned thinking look, "Did I?" his brother stepped to him and sighed, "It's time, Lucy. Time for you to ascend on Father's throne."

Selene was getting her satin robe on and tied before showing herself, "Amenadiel, what's the rush." Lucifer smiled walking to his bar," What she said." Selene made appearance "Your Father was here for a while, and everything was fine. minus needing a bit of time to adjust." Amenadiel looked at Selene, "The world needs a God, Selene. Father may not have been in Heaven, but he was still God" Amenadiel said as she came down the steps. "And the worlds not ending just because there's no God. If it were falling apart, don't you think you would be the first to know?" she questioned making her way over to the bar to have a drink.

" I suppose you're right." Amenadiel admitted, "Still, what is he waiting for?" Selene shrugged, "It's a big Job, I'm sure he's just trying to figure out a plan of action for when he does take the position. he doesn't want to go at this halfcocked without a start out plan." Amenadiel was afraid of this as he knew his brother, "It's a little too late to say he's not ready." Selene put her drink down and pulled Amenadiel to the side.

"Amenadiel. It's not that he's not ready. Second thoughts, perhaps, but more so cold feet. you can't say it's not expected, he just jumped into the God business ever since he found out Michael's plan. he didn't entirely think things through on what he was getting into." Amenadiel sighed, "We fought a war for him Selene." Lucifer perked up, "Technically I did most of the fighting." Selene looked at Amenadiel. "I know we sacrificed a lot, but have a little faith in your brother, even if he decides he doesn't want it, you can't make him. Besides, didn't your father tell you all you will have to figure it out? long as it's not Michael ending up on the throne it's not an issue. If he doesn't want the job... well then I'll take it."

Amenadiel was surprised but did take her word for it, "Don't even deny the idea, Amenadiel, surely as I am a celestial as well, I am qualified to take the position. I want to see Lucifer happy, I'm not going to force him something even if I have faith in him that he can do the job. He will get there. He always does." Amenadiel shook his head, "I hope he figures it out soon before bad things were to start." he looked at Lucifer, "We will talk later Amenadiel." Selene walked back to her drink.

Later that day Selene was at her house doing chores, when she got a text from Ella, she was on her way over. Selene texted back that she was at her house doing some deep cleaning soaking her bedding in the bath tub of scalding hot water and steam cleaning the house. Just as she waked down her steps Ella barged in the door, "Sel, I need your help." Selene gestured her over to her basket of laundry and proceeded to fold clothes, "Sure, I don't mind helping you, Ella. What's this about?" She asked letting Ella to talk, "I got plenty of time considering it's taking a while for Lucifer to start running the family business."

Ella was pacing like a nervous bird during Selene's rambling trying to think of a way to explain things, "It's fine though really, I'm not use to having this much free time for anything since I've retired. Anyhow, what's up?" Selene asked as Ella started stuttering, "Uh, it's that guy. Car- Detective Corbett." Selene looked at her a bit lost. "Yes, what about him Ella?" Selene was a bit concerned seeing Ella like this. "It's just, uh... well, he's nice, okay? Maybe a little too nice. and suspiciously normal, you know too good to be true."

Selene realized what she was getting at and smiled at Ella, "Aw, you like him, you should ask him out. Give him a chance." Ella was freaking out, "No, no, no. I love kung fu movies, and he likes them too. I mean what are the odds of us loving the same things?" Selene put on a deadpan expression, "Pretty high, since you like just about everything." She listened to Ella rambling as she was folding her clothes, until she could respond. "Ella. He's not Pete. I get that is what you are so worried about, because he reminded you of him. I don't think Dan would have wanted yo to meet if he didn't think you would be perfect for each other. You should honestly give him a chance. there's not many guys with the "ladies first" gesture, you should embrace that trait."

Ella sat down, "I know. It's just really hard to trust someone after your last boyfriend was a serial killer." Selene felt sympathy for Ella, "Ella, just give him a chance you have things in common, it's not a bad thing. You can even trade stories about Dan. He's new to the department and LA, he has no one around here he knows. I'm sure he could use a good friend like you to spend time with."

Ella pondered the idea for a while "Well... I guess I could give him a chance, tempting as it sounds to hear some crazy stories about Dan. Know what I'll do it I mean what could possibly go wrong." Selene smiled, "If you manage to get a date with him, I will help you out by letting you borrow something of mine, from my wardrobe." Ella nodded, "Okay, deal." Selene had managed to finish folding her laundry. "So, tell me about this latest case you're working on."

Meanwhile down in hell, a young dark copper shoulder length pigtailed haired woman dressed in red camouflage shorts with a brown belt, and a belt buckle with a picture of a Phoenix. There was a black front lace up sweetheart strapless corset, and a cropped red denim jacket with a rhinestone A on the back, with flames in the shape of cute wings, and a pair of knee-high lace up brown boots, walking through the halls of Hell. She was confused on why she ended up there, she was looking for a way out.

While searching she ended up being stopped by a demon "Uh, Excuse me." She stopped to turn to the demon talking to her, "You're excused." She said as she kept looking around for the door to Hell. "Hey! Who are you? Did you escape from your room?" She didn't stop moving, "Don't worry. I'm not a damned soul."

The demon scoffed, "And you're not a demon." She stopped to turn around, "You got that right." she said sarcastically just wanting to get out of here and get to Earth. "Whoever you are, you're really not supposed to be here." She ignored the demon and continued to walk, "Seriously, you can't be here!" the demon tried to grab her but she was t quick to spin and avoid being grabbed. She then let out her angel wings. They were a beautiful dark red to orange ombre colored shocking the demon, "You're an angel?" they asked nervously as the orange feathers erupted into flames as the angel flexed her flaming wings, "I don't understand. Who are you?" the demon was quite confused about the angel.

"I'm looking for someone. I guess there not here, so I'm leav-." she had a strange sense that there was a hell loop that sounded far t quiet despite the sound of tortured screams of souls. She turned her attention to have her senses guide her to the quiet soul, curious to find out why, she put her flames out and took flight leaving the stunned demon behind.

Meanwhile on earth, Selene decided to go check on her cousins at the new Moon Dream bar, when she got there, she saw Maze and AJ together. She was happy to see her friends were happy together, she fully supported their relationship, "Hey guys." She smiled sitting next to her friends, "Sel? I thought you be on your way to heaven being the Goddess of the universe?" Aj asked surprised Selene is still on Earth.

"Well, um... Lucifer's kind of been getting the cold feet over being God...he wished to push the coronation back, so yeah, I'm gonna be here a while and so what if I move to heaven, I can always make time to see everyone I probably wouldn't be doing much work, besides greet souls, and spend time with mom and Jack." She said as she looked at Travis, "Hey Travis, 3 finger glass of apple moonshine." Maze had to chime in about Lucifer, "Yeah... that sounds like Lucifer for you. He always self-sabotage himself. He will realize his mistake at some point he always does."

Selene was a little surprised how calm Maze was, "You're taking this rather well. I figure you be a lot more upset because your brothers and sisters fought a war for him-" Maze pulled out a knife and slammed it into the bar, "I'm furious about it, but I also expected this, I've known Lucifer for Eon's in Hell, and lived here on earth the last few years, watching him change much to my displeasure. Ever since I finally met my mother, I've done a lot of reflection, I knew it was time for a change, I don't want to be like my mother sleeping around, I needed a connection." Maze said and looked at AJ, "And I've found it finally, besides I've decided I never want to go back to hell, I rather stay here and live on Earth."

"I understand now what he meant when he wanted to find some sense of happiness on earth. and we got it." Maze said as AJ smiled, "And I can't wait to marry you, Maze." Selene felt their connection and was happy about it, "I'm happy for you both, to be honest, I hope Lucifer and I will get to live here on Earth as well. Seems like he had a plan for us, he openly admitted he wants the full farming experience."

Maze began to crack up, "The idea of Lucifer, being a cowboy is something I've got to see." Selene smirked, "Well, I do have a video I did manage to... sneak of him trying to train a horse. He didn't do too bad for a beginner. barely made mistakes, but it's the fact that he was really trying, that's what counts." Selene whipped her phone out and searched her videos and let Maze and AJ see. Travis finally got around to doing Selene's order despite being distracted by his own work.

AJ was quite impressed, "Oh my God...he's doing a great job. You can clearly see he's trying." Selene nodded, "Mm-hm. He was working on 'breaking a horse' as most call it, we call it the first bonding step. He's watched me work with horses, it shows he did learn something from watching me." AJ nodded in agreement, "Oh for sure. I think it's sweet he's taken an interest in what you enjoy. " Aly took a break by them, "Hey guys what y'all looking at?"

The 3 of them looked at Aly, "A video of Lucifer attempting to train a horse." Aly's jaw nearly dropped, "What?" She took a peek, "Is he really trying to train a horse?" Selene nodded, "Yep. When Lucifer said he wants the experience he wasn't joking. I didn't even coach him, he's doing it all on his own." Aly had the wow expression, "that's so cool. So, I've got something to say. I've been seeing someone. One of our recent regulars."

Selene looked at Aly, "Oh? Good for you I'm glad you have started dating, I'm happy for you cuz. I know I haven't been around much I feel left out being with my family right here in this bar. I might be out of the spotlight, but this is still my bar. I wanna see you guys shine without me. I can see everything's holding up very well." Aly smiled at Selene, " Of course we can take care of this place without you. You don't need to worry about us."

"But I do worry. I'd hate to not be here if something bad were to happen. I'm not here much to keep you safe from criminals, or murders. Ever since the war I've done nothing but worry about everyone. Especially since y'all saw me die. Death kind of opened my eyes a little about how much I haven't taken my life for granted, because I lost it to Michael. I've been to care free, I know I should be, but now it's much more than normal...y'all are precious to me. I've had some recurring nightmares of what culd have happened had Michael got his way."

"Thankfully all we need to worry about are mortal threats, I don't know if i can handle anymore celestial drama." Aly said as Selene held up her drink, "I'm just glad we have peace again I don't know if i can handle another celestial causing problems here. I can always pop up to Heaven whenever since Lucifer taught me how to fly to Heaven. Things get chaotic the way it is, what else could go wrong?"

Meanwhile in Hell

Dan was playing ping pong alone when the angel walked in to the room and disrupted Dan's game grabbing the ball. "Hey!" Dan gave the new face a look, "Oh, Sorry." She tossed the ball back to Dan, "Ah, finally!" He laughs then she came closer out of the shadows, "A opponent. Thought I be Forrest Gumping it for a while-Selene?" The young angel before him tilted her head in confusion, "Apologies. I'm afraid you have me confused with someone else." She let out her wings and ignited them. "See, I'm a angel."

Dan was shocked by the sight of her wings set a blaze, "Oh, whoa, holy wow! Those are-" he was staring at them flaming. "Wait a minute. Did Lucifer send you?" she snuffed the flames out and put her wings away. "Don't know him. I've came here looking for someone, I sensed there was a soul here not like the rest. I've heard stories about you. You almost killing the Devil. But, now that I'm here, I wanna hear your story about it."

He was still kind of shell shocked over her wings, "Uh, yeah. Almost killed him. One of the worst things I've ever done." Dan said making himself comfortable. "In fact, I'm feeling pretty guilty about it. Very guilty..." he pulled out his detective notepad and added it to his list of things he is guilty about. "Everyone makes mistakes in their life. How did it happen?" she asked curious.

Dan pursed his lips together, "I was manipulated. By an angel." the angel before him nodded, "Honestly, you shouldn't beat yourself up about it. It wasn't your fault to begin with. You weren't the only one that was. I heard bits about you from other's but I would love to hear from you." She smiled at him and sat down on the ping pong table. Dan chuckled, "Ah-ha. You're out to manipulate me as well. You know what? Whatever it is you want. I'm not gonna help. Doesn't matter. For all I know helping Angels got me into hell in the first place."

"It's ok that you've lost your faith in angels. No hard feelings here. But I can tell you don't belong here. Say the word and I can set you free. Take you back to Earth." Dan looked at the angel and laughed. "Yeah, right. It's not possible." Dan said, as the angel sighed. "Ah, but it is every angel knows they can just pluck a soul from hell. It happened to a guy before you... oh what was his name... well, never mind not important."

"Thing is Lucifer is trying to find a way to get me out." She grinned, "Really? What's so hard about taking a hold of you and just fly you to Earth. I mean, it's easy and every angel knows it." Dan was skeptical but he couldn't help but see Selene in her with how calming she can be in her tone. The only thing different was the fact the angel before him has brown eyes. "So then why didn't anyone bring me back after I had died...I've been left here for thousands of years playing ping pong."

"I wish i can answer that, but I can't answer a lot of questions you have. If you're not interested in having help getting out of here..." Dan was uneasy about it, after she took his hand and gave him the ball back. "Wait... can you tell me who you are?" Dan asked the female angel, she smiled at him, "Well, you can call me Nixie."

Meanwhile that night in the penthouse, Lucifer was sitting up in his bed with a drink, doing some reflective thinking. The elevator dinged and Selene walked in, "Oh, you're still awake." She smiled standing in his door way, "Mm." He put down his drink, "Yes, and not in a good way." Selene smiled and sat down next to him in bed, "Perhaps I can help? Something on your mind?" then cuddled up to him, he put his arm around her. "So. how was your day honey?"

Selene hummed, "Well, I got a lot of house work done that needed alt of attention, and I went to see how the Moon Dream was doing. long story short it was uneventful. What about you Lucifer? Feeling godly yet?" He kissed her forehead and gave her a little squeeze, "Well I did help Carol, then I felt genuinely happy when he and Miss Lopez worked out." Selene turned her head and smiled, "Funny. I was talking to Ella about Carol, she came to visit me with a nervous breakdown, with some trust issues." Lucifer scoffed knowing the day he had with Ella as well.

"Don't I know it. But, I'm happy for both of them, which means somewhere along the way, I ended up caring about the stupid man, so mission is incomplete." Selene smiled holding his face and stroked his stubble, "Well, It's a good start. You'll figure it out. I don't expect you to fully live up to your father's expectations, we are nothing like our parents, we all have our own way of loving people and loving life and how we choose to live. You spent the most time having sex with humanity where as your father just sat back and watched us."

Selene ran her finger down his chest, "but, I could tell you a theory I could think of?" He gave her a look waiting to hear what crazy theory she could come up with." She smiled at him, "I know you been helping so many people achieve their desires, right? Making deals is your thing. So, maybe somewhere along there lies the answer. You do make a lot of people happy... well most. You done a lot more for humanity more than I can count. Especially saving lives and finding justice for the innocent."

"While I may honor your positivity with, your theory if that's the case, then I'm never gonna be God." Selene sat up, and smiled at Lucifer, "Lucifer. We will figure it out, I told you I support any choice you make but you can't keep procrastinating much longer if a demon revolt was bad enough, we don't need an angel revolt." She kissed him.

"I hope we do. I'm sorry this is taking longer than we thought." Lucifer said sincerely and she tucked her hair behind her ear," There's no rush, right? I don't mind spending as much time as possible here on Earth, I know being back in Heaven for you is going to make you uncomfortable... with all the bad memories." Lucifer let out a big sigh and small smile, "Maybe we should just take our time." He leaned up cupping her left cheek, wrapping his arm during their passionate kiss, where it led to him slowly easing her down on the bed.
