I cleaned up the first chapter a bit so it is better, take a look at it if you want to, and here's the first Interlude, enjoy.

Outside of the arena where the first Match of Ragnarök was happening, a pair of strangers, who had never before in their lives were simply sitting at the base of a large tree having a most...interesting discussion.

"Seriously?" The first Stranger said in disbelief. "You really went all that distance just to get discount on onions?" He said out loud before he laughed a bit.

"Hey! Don't make fun of that, I have to be careful with the way I spend my money, if I recklessly spend them then I could starve to death!" The other Stranger protested, causing the first one to laugh even more.

"Well I can't say that I know what that feels like since I never exactly went shopping out for food in my time. And besides, starving isn't so bad if you know what you're doing." He said as he popped in a piece of candy into his mouth from his large bag of candy in his arms.

"Well different times and different circumstances and all." The second Stranger shrugged before he furrowed his eyebrows at the first Stranger. "Oi, isn't all that candy bad for your teeth? It's got to play Hell on your Dental Bills." He pointed out.

The first Stranger simply look amused. "It touches me that you care, but you forgot, I'm basically a God, things like cavities, cancer, and the likes don't affect people like me that badly." He said before he popped in another piece of candy.

"Seriously? You get to be healthy no matter what, and eat what you want? Man I'm so jealous." The second Stranger lamented to the first one.

The first Stranger simply chuckled at the second one. "You seem to forget, now that you're in Heaven for all intents and purposes, things like diseases and sickness don't affect us here." He reminded him before he took out some candy and offered it to the Stranger. "Want some?" The first Stranger asked.

The second Stranger blinked for a moment before taking the candy and eating some of it. "Huh, it's really good." The second Stranger said casually as the first Stranger grinned wide enough for his sharp teeth to appear. "You know, you're not what I really expected you to be?" The man then admitted to the first one.

"Ohhh? And what did you think I was like then?" The first man asked smirking at the first man.

"Well I mean, I didn't expect you to engage in eating candy like it's going out of style, and I'm pretty sure that those were not the clothes you wore when you lived Buddha." The second man said to the now identified God.

Buddha, who was clad in a tank top accompanied an eyepatch-wearing rabbit design with the word "USACHAN," glasses along with robes tied around his waist wrapping back to his hands, with a bindi on his forehead, hair tied backwards in a classical style, wearing earrings on his elongated earlobes, and four sharp fangs from his mouth; simply grinned even wider at the man.

"Well I did die and I did my actions, and made it all the way here, and observed humanity for a long time, but it's kind of boring to simply not adapt unlike the rest of those foggy old geezers, so I indulged a bit here and there." Buddha replied.

The man blinked before he gained a moment to think about and nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, I can see that, I can eat plenty of stuff for a while, but I will try to change up what I eat, it gets boring to eat the same thing every day after all, even if I like the stuff." He said.

Buddha simply smiled at the man. "And that's why I like you Saitama." He said to the One Punch Man. "You just get me unlike most people, heck you even listen to me even after I say more than twenty words." He said.

Saitama simply shrugged. "Well you're Buddha after all." Saitama pointed out before he leaned in closer. "Also heard you were on our side, so yeah." He said with a small smile.

Buddha simply laughed a bit. "This is going to be a fun friendship." He said with a grin.

XXXXX

Long before the beginning of Match to decide Humanity's Fate.

As Zelretch led Brunhild and Geir into another world, they were wondering where they would head next and soon they finished their travels, and much to Geir's shock, they were now in a desolate wasteland. Even Brunhild couldn't stop herself from narrowing her eyes at what she saw before her.

"What...what happened here?" Geir gasped out.

"A worldwide nuclear war sometime in the 1990s has resulted in the destruction of most of civilization, turning the world into a desert wasteland. The remnants of mankind fight over whatever supply of food and uncontaminated water still remaining as the strong prey on the weak." Zelretch said to her Geir feeling a sense of loss whenever he happens upon this world.

"How...how sad." Geir said sadly.

"That may be true." Zelretch admitted before he smiled kindly at the Apprentice Valkyrie. "But even so, there exists a Man who had used the Martial Arts that was once suited for assassination and he turned it into a tool of justice to protect the innocent and kind. Furthermore, this man has saved this world from further darkness when he confronted them himself, and became known as the Savior of the Century's End." he said proudly to the two, as they raised their eyebrows in admiration.

"And we're recruiting such a Man for our Battles?" Brunhild asked.

"Indeed." Zelretch nodded. "And we're here at his grave." He said pointing to two grave markers, one that had the name Yuria, and the other that had the name of Kenshiro. "Come on, Brunhild, just like before." He motioned her to the grave of Kenshiro as she nodded and soon awaken his soul, and Brunhild couldn't help but blink at how poerful the soul is and smiled.

"I do not mean to startle, however Humanity's needs your strength once, to save them from extinction." Brunhild said softly as the soul became complacent and accepted to join. "It is done." She said as Zelretch nodded.

"Alright then, come on, we must continue our search." He said as he opened up another portal as they exited, only to be missed by the next Successor to the Hokuto Shinken arts, Ryu, who blinked as he sensed someone was here but shrugged and paid his respect to his mentor and his loved one.
