The Slayer of Demons walked down the hallway silently and quietly as his turn had come to fight in the Rounds of Ragnarök. But before he could go any further, he needed to find his Valkyrie so he can perform his Volund with, and knowing the nature of his Valkyrie, he could only come to one spot that she would most definitely be as of right now after the Second Match; the Infirmary.

As he opened the door, he could already hear her talking. "Really now, you shouldn't be that reckless Kenshiro!" A motherly calm voice scolded the Second Champion and Fighter of Mankind. "You not only have our Sister's life in your hands, but the countless lives of many Humans in your hands as well, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were being so reckless, letting yourself get close enough to Zeus's fists so you can activate your ultimate form as Slayer came across the form of Hrist, the Second Eldest Sister of the Valkyries.

Hrist is a rather tall woman that has long dark purple and straight hair with bangs covering her right eye and a long braid going from the left side of her head to her waist. With her main outfit being for the most part, a garrison cap on her head and an opened-up military jacket with a strapless corset and jeans underneath. In addition to her formal military shoes, fingerless gloves with cufflinks, and thigh socks with metal knee guards. Over her well-defined mature body, and combined with her soft looks and beauty, anyone would have thought her to be an Angel, but Slayer knew that to not be entirely true.

"Lady Hrist, I hate to interrupt your scolding of Sir Kenshiro but…" Slayer started to speak out only for the long braid on the left side went to the other and now Hrist looked incredibly angry and her veins was bulging out in anger.

"Huuh? Who The Hell Gave You Permission To Disrupt My Scolding You Piece of Dog Shit?!" Hrist suddenly said very angrily. "I Was In The Middle Of Scolding This Idiot For Being Too Reckless!" She shouted pointing to Kenshiro, who had his Valkyrie at his side and looked kind of really nervous as well.

'If I remember correctly, Hrist has two personalities, that references her name or something like that about her power.' Slayer thought to himself as Hrist was still being incredibly rude and angry. 'If I remember correctly according to Brunhild, the name Hrist means "The Trembling One Whether That Be With Fear Or Anger."' The Slayer of Demons reflected.

"Sister please calm down." Reginleif said out in hopes of preventing her anger from getting worse, which worked as Hrist returned back to her normal calm side that made people rather at ease. "Sir Slayer had come here for a reason, and it would do you well to listen to him, especially since he's the one you made a Contract with." She reminded her.

"Ah you are correct little Sister." Hrist said with a nod as she turned to Slayer of Demons with a bow. "My apologies for my rudeness, but when one's sister's life was at stake and close to being killed, I tend to be a bit of a worrywart as some would say." She said to Slayer who simply nodded at that.

"I understand, your family after all. And good older siblings watch out for the little ones, no matter the age or how recently you've seen one of them come out okay." He said as Hrist smiled gently. "Even so, I must tell you now, it is our turn for Ragnarök." He said as everyone's eyes widened a bit and Hrist understood immediately why Slayer came here.

"I understand then." She nodded as she offered up her hand to the Slayer of Demons. "Then let us perform our Volund and safeguard Humanity's Future." She declared as Slayer nodded as he offered his own hand and joined in unison with her.

"Now then, let us show the Gods our power." Slayer said once the Volund Ritual was complete and his great sword now glowed with power.

XXXXX

Now back in the Stand, where Zelretch, Brunhild, and Geir were sitting with the rest of Humanity, they could only wait anxiously for the Third Match to begin. "Zelretch." Brunhild spoke up as the Wizard Marshal turned to her with raised eyebrows. "While I can understand and see the strength that the Slayer of Demons has…is he truly the best one suited for this fight?" She couldn't help but ask.

"Oh? And you have your doubts about him?" Zelretch replied calmly. "Even after you've had a glimpse of his very skills?" He then asked her.

Brunhild could only frown a bit. "Do not misunderstand me, Lord Zelretch, all of the Representatives we have selected are among the finest Warriors and Heroes that I have seen in my life…but Slayer…I've seen his memories, and he died a lot, and I am not afraid to admit that the way that his people use the power of Souls unnerves me, but with such a warrior that's used to dying, won't he be bad for this kind of fight?" She asked.

"And by that merit for this kind of fight, that would be a hindrance." Zelretch admitted before he smiled at Brunhild. "But the fact that he kept getting back up to fight again and again also means he's far more determined than most people, or even Gods are, and that kind of stubborn determination is what we need to face the Gods, and perhaps even the likes of Poseidon."

Brunhild nodded after some thoughtful thinking. "I see, then we shall see what he has to offer." She said as the next match got ready.

"FOLLOWING ON FROM HUMANITY'S VICTORY, THE THIRD BATTLE OF RAGNAROK BEGINS NOW!" Heimdall shouted. "FIGHTING FOR THE GODS, HE BEARS NO LOVE FOR THE PITIFUL MORTALS…ONE COULD EVEN SAY THAT PERHAPS HE ENJOYS TESTING THEM? BUT THAT IS WHAT DEFINES A GOD! THE HARSHEST TRIALS! AND THAT INDIFFERENCE TO LIFE! IS THE REALM OF THE GODS! HE FOLLOWED THE ALMIGHTY ZEUS…REPRESENTING THE GOD FOR THE THIRD ROUND!" Then as the double door opened, water flooded the Arena but as soon as it was close to the God fighting this Round, it split letting Him pass through. "IF ZEUS WAS THE GOD OF THE COSMO, THEN THIS MAN RULED THE OCEAN WITH AN IRON FIST. THE RULER OF THE SEAS!" Heimdall shouted. "EVEN THE GODS TREMBLE AT THE THOUGHT OF INVOKING HIS WRATH…THE MOST FEARSOME GOD! SECOND OF THE THREE BROTHERS OF OLYMPUS…KNOWN AS THE ZEUS OF THE SEA! HIS NAME IS…POSEIDON!"

"Hmph…nothing but filth before my eyes." Poseidon, The Greek God of the Seas, having blonde hair, white skin, and blue eyes, said with disgust.

"Hmm~. Poseidon, huh? He's even less receptive to my jokes than you, old man." Loki stated.

"AND NOW, A LONG TIME AGO…DEMONS TERRORIZED THE LANDS SLAUGHTERING ALL HUMANS ON SIGHT! DEVOURING THEIR VERY SOULS AND ESSENCE TO GAIN POWER AND MIGHT TO RULE OVER ALL! THE LAND OF BOLETARIA WAS ONCE USED THE POWER OF MAGIC KNOWN AS SOUL ARTS, BUT THE VERY ARTS THAT THE HUMANS RELIED UPON ALLOWED THE SOUL EATING DEMONS INFLUENCE AND SURROUNDED THE KINGDOM WITH A MAGICAL FOG, MANY GREAT WARRIORS ENTERED THROUGH TO TRY AND SOLVE THE CRISIS BUT ALL OF THEM FAILED!" Soon the doors from Humanity's side came through as a boat floated calmly into the water towards the stage. "ALL BUT ONE! ORIGINALLY A NAMELESS KNIGHT FROM THE SOUTH, HE CAME AND PERSEVERED THROUGH THE WORST OF WHAT THE KINGDOM HAS TO OFFER! AND RESTORED BALANCE AND STABILITY TO THE KINGDOM! I BRING TO YOU, THE SLAYER OF DEMONS!" Heimdall announced as the Slayer of Demons got off the boat and drew his Northern Regalia Great Sword.

"I will not fail here." Slayer said softly.

The crowd was getting reckless, many on the God's side were muttering about this one and how he seemingly came out but doesn't seem that special. But the Demons were all instinctively feeling anxious about the Slayer of Demons for they could tell he was no fake but the real deal. Some Gods were dismissive of him, but many more were wary considering what Ragna and Kenshiro managed to do. On Humanity's Side, they were anxiously waiting for him and were eager for his battle to begin.

"Slayer, please persevere." The Maiden in Black said softly as she watched the match before her.

"While we cannot be there with you in person, we're with you in spirit." Yuria the Witch said as she offered her own small prayers for the Slayer.

"You two worry too much." Blacksmith Boldwin muttered. "He'll be fine, he's taken on tougher and meaner things than a simple sea monster." He said nonchalantly.

"Slayer, you beat my brother and his Maiden, do not fall to this God." Selen Vinland said as she also observed the fight.

"He's tougher than what most people give him for, so don't look so down Prince." Biorr of the Twin Fangs said to the Prince who was watching, or as he is better known as Ostrava of Boletaria.

"I know Sir Biorr, I am simply worried." Ostrava replied.

Old King Doran simply watched with his arms crossed and his face concealed beneath that mask of his, but anyone could tell that he had high expectations for the Slayer of Demons.

Slayer simply unsheathed his Great Sword, Northern Regalia and stabbed it into the ground then he put his hands into a prayer pose before he clapped it and soon the very waters around him calmed down as he grabbed Northern Regalia once more and pointed it towards Poseidon. His very power demonstrated with that single clap, stunned everyone, including Gods.

"Huh? What…What's with that mortal!?" Ares asked, sweating.

"What a disturbing surprise." Hermes stated with wide eyes.

"Could it be that Humanity has decided to unleash another Monster?" Loki questioned as he gritted his teeth in anger. 'Don't fucking joke around with me! Thor and Zeus are already dead, and the fighters themselves were no pushovers, just where did that bitch find them?!' He thought angrily as he glared at Brunhild.

"My word, can you ever do such a deed, Sir Biorr?" Ostrava asked in surprise.

"Hell no." Biorr replied with a wide grin.

Saint Urbain smiled. "Seems that his mind is absolutely focused for this battle, and he's not going to go down easy if it were the case."

As Slayer readied himself, the spiritual form of Hrist was seen as she smiled gently at Slayer, then her Anger Side came out and sneered viciously at Poseidon before returning to his side. "Let us go, and fight for Humanity, Lady Hrist." Slayer said softly before she replied back.

'Indeed, both of my sisters succeeded in their battles, we must not fail, or else Humanity will become one step closer to extinction.' Hrist replied before she got angry. 'AND THOSE GODS WILL BE LAUGHING GLEEFULLY AS THEY DO SO!' She then yelled as Slayer chuckled in amusement at such a temperamental Valkyrie.

Both representatives faced each other now, for Round Three, it was Poseidon: the Zeus of the Seas, versus the Slayer of Demons. "LET THE FIGHTING, BEGIN!" Heimdall shouted.

Both Poseidon and Slayer glared at each other with their aura as the whole of the audience got nervous by their powerful auras as they both charged at each other the moment the fight started. Poseidon was faster so he could reach first. But Slayer had endurance and toughness on his side so that when they got within moments of each other, they clashed trident to great sword as the force of their impacts caused a massive shockwave that could be felt by everyone.

"This is insane!" Geir shouted as she covered her eyes from the shockwave. "Just what kind of place forged someone as strong as Slayer?!" She shouted out.

"A world where monsters roamed free and outnumbered the few sane ones a thousand to one." Brunhild said calmly as her hair blew back in the shockwave. "It seems Poseidon is taking Slayer seriously." She noted as Poseidon focused on killing him with his advanced techniques.

Slayer and Poseidon clashed as Poseidon used his Divine Strength to send Slayer sliding across the arena, before he then made a motion with his hands to have the water rise up like a tidal wave and aimed it straight at Slayer. Whose eyes widened but narrowed in determination underneath his helmet as he then stabbed his sword into the arena and endured the immense tidal wave. Luckily for Slayer, the immense bulk of his armor combined with how deeply the sword has been stabbed in with his tight grip prevented him from being washed out.

Then Slayer rushed out and forced Poseidon on the defensive as Slayer's immense strength proved capable of even pushing back Poseidon. And then more shockingly was the fact that Slayer took off one hand on his sword and turned it into a fist and punched Poseidon straight in the face, causing his face to explode in a burst of blood, pain, and bone breaking before he growled and leveraged his trident to flip over Slayer on his ground and pushed down on him with all his might as Slayer calmly and steadily held his trident up to keep it from stabbing him.

"What a monster!" Ares marveled. "That human drew first blood on Lord Poseidon of all people, and even endured his water-based attack before retaliating."

"He's taking him very seriously, how unexpected of him." Hermes noted with a bit of sweat on his forehead.

"For him to do such a thing, this human is without a doubt, a top tier fighter." Hade stated, interested.

As Slayer held up Poseidon's trident, he quickly raised his leg to knee Poseidon in the family jewels, and sheer amount of force put into it, made him grimace in pain for a moment. But a moment was all he needed as he pushed back Poseidon's trident and kick him off. Before Slayer got back up and clashed with Poseidon before he landed a cut on Poseidon's face as the Gods gasped in shock while humanity cheered for Slayer.

"You…" Poseidon growled out menacingly. "You trash killed Thor, then murdered my brother, and now you scratch my face?" He questioned darkly. "Know your place worm!" He declared as he motioned for the water to rise up and instead of another tidal wave, he created a wall of razor-sharp water needles and fired them at Slayer. Forcing him to start running to dodge the attacks before he dug deep into his inventory to pull out his Tower Shield as he got his person behind it to weather the storm of water needles.

"He's using more of his powers, and yet that human is enduring all of this!" Ares shouted in shock.

"Hang in there, brat! You got to win!" Blacksmith Ed shouted.

Soon Poseidon's assault stopped and Slayer discarded the used-up Tower Shield as he charged in straight first with his blade once more. Poseidon took a step forward and he then got into a fighting position and attacked with Amphitrite, Slayer responded by roll dodging to the side and thus Poseidon only scratched his armor. Slayer responded by attacking with his going for another slash but the God dodged the attack with his trident, and advance forward and thrusted his trident, aimed at the Slayer of Demons' neck but he blocked with his sword but he did start denting his armor.

Slayer pushed Poseidon away from him to get some distance before he charged in with his blade once more and slashed at his chest. But Poseidon avoided that and thrusted his trident right for his head but he dodged the trident thrust and swung his sword so that it was aimed directly for the face but Poseidon dodged that attack but suffered another cut, angering him further.

"That warrior's reactions are top notch! I never see anyone able to fight the way he had! That kind of ability to dodge can only come from years of combat experience where every fight was a life and death match!" Ares noted critically.

"I believe so." Hermes said, impressed by what Slayer of Demons is capable of.

"Truly, we Gods have previously underestimated Humanity." Ares sighed out as he slumped in his seat a bit. "The Valkyries have certainly picked the most dangerous and powerful warriors for us to face." He admitted.

"I suppose it took until now for that to sink in, but we should have known that the moment that warrior, Ragna the Bloodedge, killed Thor." Hades chimed in.

"Lord Zelretch, just how good are Slayer's chances?" Geir asked from her seat.

"He could win or he could lose, but that man had been through a never-ending gauntlet of death and combat, so I don't think he will lose yet." Zelretch replied.

Poseidon then swarmed the arena with water raised it to knee length level and unsurprisingly, Poseidon just raised himself up so he was walking on top of the water. But due to the water up to his knees, Slayer had a harder time moving and reacting, and was forced on the defensive as Poseidon practically ran loops around him taking shots at Slayer as he grunted from each impact he took to his armor.

"What's wrong?" Poseidon said, speaking casually for the first time in this battle. "I thought you can endure just about anything, or was that all you got, you insignificant piece of shit?" Poseidon taunted cruelly.

Slayer spoke for the first time as well in this battle. "You talk too much." He replied before he stormed through the water where Poseidon was running and held firm as Poseidon ram into him before he moved across the water for a bit before doing a circle slash that cut deep into Poseidon's back. Then Slayer headbutted him, and disrupting his concentration hold over the water as Humanity cheered for him.

Then Poseidon smashed his trident into Slayer and sent him flying up before smacking him multiple times and then finally smashing him onto the other side of the battleground. Eventually, Slayer slowly got up and took a deep breath as he readied himself for combat. The Spector Gods cheered for Poseidon, as they called him the God of Gods and soon repeated G.O.G over and over but with one unpleased look from him, he made them shut up.

"Lord Poseidon's aura is something else…" Geir said in fear.

"Truly a terrifying short-tempered God, talk about being absolutely edgy." Zelretch deadpanned.

"Hmph. What a bunch of useless bottom feeders." Poseidon said in annoyance, though his attitude confused Slayer for a bit.

"What's wrong with people cheering for you?" He asked. "It means that there's a great deal of many people that support you and want you to win."

"Support? We have no for the herd…no need for scheming…and no need for support…such are the Gods." Poseidon stated. "Supporters are entirely unnecessary…to those who have already attended perfection."

Slayer was silent for a moment before he sighed out. "That doesn't sound like living, that sounds like stagnation, and there's no such thing as perfection." He said seriously. "Everyone keeps getting better at one action or another, and someday they're surpassed by someone else, and the one after that one and so on. Being perfect means, you've stagnated and when you stagnate, you fall." He said seriously.

This triggered Poseidon, as he gave Slayer a blank stare that was seemingly void of emotions. Then he lunged into the air and attacked the Slayer of Demons with more anger in it that Slayer could see into his fighting style. "Begone." Poseidon said seriously.

Slayer's words didn't just trigger Poseidon's nerves, but also triggered every other God's nerves as they all shouted angrily and gritted their teeth in rage at Slayer's words. While a great deal of many humans ended up laughing merrily and heartily at Slayer' words. Brunhild, chief among them, was laughing uncontrollably. Zelretch was not far behind either as he giggled uncontrollably with the largest grin he ever had on his face, one that spoke deeply of boorish amusement and hilarity.

"Big Sis, Lord Zelretch." Geir said with a sweat dropping down from her face at the admittingly hilarious burn that Slayer delivered, but she was thinking that their actions was a bit too far though, since there was a fight going on.

"I'm sorry Geir but that was…pffft!" Brunhild tried to control herself but snickered one more time at the last minute, causing Geir to look unimpressed but Brunhild continued on as though she didn't snicker at the last moment, with a bright smile on her face. "I've decided, that Slayer, win or lose, will be my second most favorite champion, right after Kenshiro for delivering that burn." She declared.

Geir just looked deadpanned at her eldest sister and simply sighed and decided to continue watching the fight.

Poseidon was attacking Slayer with his power to take him down, as he was triggered by his words. He unleashed a Divine Lightning onto Slayer, but he once again dodged the most damaging blow, but still got scrapped by it and dented his armor even further, while bruising him as well. Even so! He was keeping his breath steady to keep his reflexes sharp in the face of this challenge and refused to back down at the speed of the fierce attack.

"What a fierce attack! Such blinding speed!" Ares shouted.

"Indeed, this is only a matter of speed that humans could only react to, but not counter." Hermes stated.

"This is hardly anything, he has only seen but an appetizer of Poseidon's terrifying strength." Hades stated. "The depth of his power is still a mystery, but that will change soon."

Then Slayer saw an opening and broke through it and managed to slash Poseidon's chest as he breathed calmly as Poseidon reacted by thrusting his trident into Slayer, but he retaliated with his sword and blocking the trident points from skewering him like a fish.

"Fight on Slayer! Fight harder!" Geir shouted.

Kenshiro, who had managed to recover by this point and now standing in Humanity's Stand observed the fight. "He's still had a number of tricks up his sleeves." He said calmly.

And Slayer instantly used Magic for the first time, and surprising many that he could also use Magic like Ragna before him. Slayer used Recovery to restore his health and was now in better shape. Then he used Warding to reduce the impact damage of what Poseidon can do to him before he charged once more and the moment that hey clash, Poseidon noticed that his attacks weren't as effective as they were and deduced that Slayer must have used some Magic to help him.

Still Poseidon continued on as he used his speed to outrun Slayer as they clashed multiple times for supremacy. The Greek God was still very strong and managed to get behind as they clashed with their weapons and used Amphitrite to stab deep into Slayer's back but the armor he had on, held firm and refused to break even as the Warding Spell also kicked in and reduced the impact that they had on Slayer by over fifty percent of its effectiveness. Slayer then turned around and retaliated with a vicious slash at Poseidon's shoulder but he blocked it with his trident and forced Slayer to back up as he started creating water and made water circle saw and launched them at Slayer, as he cut through every water saw he could before Poseidon clashed with him and sent him flying off his feet near the edge of the arena.

But then Slayer used Homing Soul Arrow to hit Poseidon in the chest, angering him. "Don't get cocky, small fry." Poseidon said with a scoff as he unleashed more power into his blows while calmly directing the water to accelerate his movement and to restrain Slayer, but Slayer had another counter to that in the form of a spell called Anti-Magic Field, which allowed him to turn the water back to normal and still fight with Poseidon.

Seeing that his tactic wasn't working, Poseidon forgoes all usage of his power over water and engaged Slayer in a combat of physical prowess. With Poseidon increasing the power and speed of Amphitrite to bleed out Slayer or cause him great discomfort in his armor. Slayer advanced through the storm of spear thrusts and attacks with both hands on his sword, and made a downward slash but Poseidon dodged with a sneer and got behind him and swung down his trident and slashed half of Northern Regalia in split in the middle, surprising Slayer, and shocking Humanity.

"As I said before you small fry, don't get cocky." He sneered.

"SISTER HRIST!" Geir shouted with dread.

"It's over." Ares stated.

Now that Slayer had lost his strongest and best weapon, many had assumed that he would have lost and with it, would become the first of Mankind's losses, something that invigorated the Gods to no end. However, Slayer, holding the split parts of his former great sword could only remember the trials and tribulations that he went through. From the Fog he walked through, the first ever Demon he'd slain, to being killed by a Dragon, then rinse and repeating that damnable cycle over and over as he fought countless enemies. And he remembered all the victims of that damnable Fog and the Old Demon.

The Knights of Round, Maiden Astraea, the Once Royal Mistress, and so many countless lives that were corrupted or destroyed because many of them simply happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, to even in vain trying to stop the Fog. Then he remembered the few moments of respite he had, with the people he saved and worked with, the Maiden in Black, Saint Urbain, Yuria the Witch, Biorr of the Twin Fangs, Selen Vinland, and Blacksmiths Ed and Boldwin to name a few. Then came the biggest gut punch he received that in order to lull the Old One away, he had to become the next Monumental, and naturally he was scared, bitter, angry, and tired, since he had to give up everything for the sake of the greater good after all he's done.

But that was the thing, he was the only one who could do it. Not because he was simply strong, not because he was determined. If it was that easy then perhaps other warriors could do so, but he was the only one who could become the next Monumental. Because he cared for these people, he cared about them dearly so, despite the short time he's gotten to know them. It was a whirlwind of bitter and happy memories, if he were to falter then, then his actions would have meant nothing and his companions would have suffered forever, hence why he decided to become the next Monumental.

"God of the Seas, I have a few simple questions for you." Slayer spoke as Poseidon raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Have you ever fought so many battles to the point your muscles ache and your bones were broken and your entire core was in so much pain you wish you could die, yet you couldn't? Did you cry tears of gratitude and despair for your fallen friends who gave their lives for your mission? Or sadness for the painful losses of good men and women as they died while scum lived?" Slayer asked, reflecting upon his short bitter life before he shook his head. "I suppose it's impossible for someone like you to feel that." He said shaking his head.

"And what if I don't? Emotions are unneeded for a Perfect Being, Gods do not need such worthless feelings and beliefs, all that matters is being perfect to our core." Poseidon replied arrogantly.

"I suppose so." Slayer conceded. "And it's because of that exact reason I will not…no…I refuse to lose to someone that never considers the well being of others!" Slayer suddenly shouting as he gripped the remains of his great sword. Then there was a shine that was blinding, it was so bright almost nobody could see the Slayer of Demons. Then two pillars of light shine through, it was Hrist but now there were two of them one of them looked shivering with fear while the other was seething with rage. It was a Re-Volund, once the light died down, which revealed to everyone's shock. Slayer of Demons holding two halves of the Great Sword now made into two, Soulbrandt and Demonbrandt.

"In the name of Humanity, I will kill…no…I will violently destroy you." Slayer said firmly.

"Ah…Sister Hrist…I'm glad, I really thought it was the end." Geir said with tears. "But why…why did she become two weapons when the Slayer's Great Sword split?" She asked in confusion.

"That's the true nature of our Second Sister, Hrist. The power bestowed upon her name… one trembles with fear while the other trembles with anger!" Brunhild explained. "Two forces shared in one body. She's on a whole different level of her own!"

"Indeed." Zelretch said with a grin as he stared deeper into those blades. 'And with those opposing personalities that Hrist possess, one becomes Soulbrandt with Anger becoming Pure Black Tendency, while Demonbrandt becomes one with Fear with Pure White Tendency, allowing both blades to be at their strongest, and Slayer balanced in between can use both of them!' He thought to himself.

"So, you broke it." Blacksmith Ed scoffed. "Ah well not like I can do anything for it, but for the life of me, you better win."

"Slayer." The Maiden in Black said with a happy smile on her face. "Win for Humanity."

"Lord Zelretch, I have a question, what's with the nature of the Slayer's Sword?" Geir asked.

"The name of his blade is known as Northern Regalia, however before it was known as such, it was two separate swords, one that was known as Soulbrandt, and the other was known as Demonbrandt, those two blades were forged together to make that sword, but now that it has split apart, it has returned to its original state, and with Hrist as Slayer's Valkyrie, this restored them." Zelretch explained to Geir.

"My God, that's a good roll! What are the chances?!" Brunhild shouted. "OMG, that's so fucking lucky! Hell yeah!"

'She just said "OMG!"' Geir thought, shocked.

"Slayer of Demons FTW!" Brunhild shouted.

'FTW!' Geir thought in more shock.

'You know, when she's like this, she reminds me of how adorable my honorary granddaughter is and the likes.' Zelretch thought with a grin.

"Shall we continue, oh lonesome God?" Slayer rhetorically asked, twirling his blades around.

"Worm…" Poseidon said with disgust.

He then lunged at the Slayer of Demons, with a barrage of thrusts, each aiming to stab a vital point on his body. But Slayer already casted the Warding anew then he took a deep breath and quickly deflected all the attacks, he was focusing his senses and waited for an opening. He tightly gripped the handle of his blades. Slayer soon saw his opening and attacked with a pair of overhead swings to Poseidon, which he deflected. He then jumped forward and goes for a up close slash but it was deflected and then made the next attack and counter with a horizontal slash from his other blade, but it didn't reach Poseidon's critical points.

Poseidon sensing the power that Slayer had, decided he couldn't afford to play around now, increased the speed and power of Slayer, and to the God's shock, Slayer was matching him for both speed and power. Using his original great sword made him a bit slow, but now that Hrist was empowering both and combined with his amazing strength, they became easier to use and faster to swing. Then Poseidon's eyes widened Slayer jumped forward to avoid a thrust from his trident, then rolled and slashed deep into his guts as slid away and got back up as Poseidon realized this was the first truly critical damaging blow, he took. The Gods were in shock at what they were seeing, Poseidon being seriously harmed as Humanity cheered for Slayer of Demons.

Poseidon looked at his wounds, he then began humming and rubbing his finger into his wounds, as he gathered a small amount of blood in his hand and put it into his hair and slicked it back with a sinister and deranged grin. The likes of which, reminded Slayer of some of the most malicious Demons he had the misfortune to hunt down and kill. "So, you claim that you'll kill me? Is that so…" Poseidon said calmly, then his muscles bulk up a bit. "Know your place, human…"

Poseidon then lunged at Slayer once more at insane speed and before the Slayer could deflect or block, he was hit with a slash across the chest. Luckily the armor was thick enough to protect him, but it still cut through and forcing him to become more careful, as he barely avoided another attack that got him in his left shoulder, Slayer ignored the pain and gritted his teeth and focused his battle senses to recover while at the same time fighting for his life.

Poseidon then used Forty Day Flood on him, completely surrounding him and overwhelming him with powerful thrust that could kill him, the attacks completely destroyed his armor as it tanked most of the damages. And then eventually leaving him in his clothing as Slayer breathed deeply and equipped a different set of armor, the Dark Silver Set for protection.

But his body was starting to burn and ache as he had to adjust to the new armor and wounds he got, he was growing exhausted, as he saw Poseidon advancing toward him and quickly reacted by slashing him with one blade but was only an afterimage. He then saw the Sea God behind and this time used magic, in the form of Soul Ray but missed again. He saw the God coming from the right and swung Demonbrandt once more but hit an afterimage and just barely blocked a thrust from the trident with his Soulbrandt, where Slayer used God's Wraith, ironically enough, to blast Poseidon out and about.

"Found you." Slayer said as he charged and smashed into Poseidon with his blades as he used one blade to trap the trident into the ground, and leaving Poseidon open enough, for him to stab him in the other arm and tearing off his hand, surprising everyone who saw it. The Gods were stunned into silence as Poseidon lost usage of his hand, while the God of the Seas in question was unable to believe it that a mortal was able to do this much damage, he couldn't accept it, his face darkened and his eyes were void of any emotion saved for the all-consuming rage, he was going to mutilate the mortal before him with all his might!

"You piece of shit, you'll suffer for that…" Poseidon said with a tone full of bloodlust as he raised his trident in the air and soon a dark blue aura surrounded it, then all the water that was around them began to rise into the air and form a massive ball of water that floated above them. All of Humanity widened their eyes in shock and dread at the sight, this was beyond what they were expecting, and it only grow worse when Poseidon brought down his trident, soon a large pillar of water came down at lightning-fast speed!

Slayer, acting on instincts, jumped out the way of the attack; if not he would have been killed instantly. Then another pillar of water rained down onto the ground and then one after another, multiple pillars of water were rushing down and blasting deep holes into the arena as Poseidon was using Divine Downpour to try and finish off Slayer.

But Slayer continued to dodge, and what was being launched at him, was being deflected by Anti-Magic Field and his Armor, which dulled the heaviest impact, and allowed Slayer to continue on with bruises, that he was able to deal with on his own using Regeneration. He tried to get close to Poseidon but the God thrusted his trident forward and unleashed a large stream of pressurized water at the Slayer of Demons that almost hit him. But he dodged to the right, and lunge forward and slashed him across the legs near veins, landing another direct hit. Poseidon grew more ferocious and released even more pillars of water to smash and tear him to pieces.

Slayer tried to make another slash, but Poseidon reacted faster and blasted him with a wave of water, that knocked him around, but was able to prevent himself from falling out by stabbing the ground once more with one blade. Then he used the other blade to cut down a burst of pressurized water that Poseidon blasted out of his trident, and cutting it in half, surprising many, including Slayer, who did not expect that to work but didn't questioned the ability.

'Well now, I didn't expect that to work, still, he's highly wounded, if I play my hand right, I can win.' Slayer thought strategically.

"You…fucking filth." Poseidon said with a very calm rage.

Poseidon raised his trident in the air once more and the pillars of water stopped in midair, then they began to morph and change into tridents and every last one of them was aimed at Slayer. He readied himself for the next attack, then on Poseidon's signal all of them flew through the air and hit where Slayer was standing, the bombardment lasted for about 5 minutes before ending it. As Poseidon finally thought that his Forty Days of Raining Hell had done the trick of killing the Human.

And to his gleeful joy and to Humanity's shock and despair, Slayer was on the ground bleeding out and collapsed. "So, the cockroach finally died." He said with relish as he approached the body and started laughing maliciously at the man. Soon the Gods were cheering in joy as they finally gained one over Humanity.

"Finally, we obtain our first victory." Ares sighed out in relief.

"About time too." Hermes replied.

"So, it would seem." Hades answered though he didn't take his eyes off on that mortal, according to the rules of Ragnarök, all losers were to lose their souls forever and yet his body was still remaining. Not to mention he hasn't sensed Slayer's Soul dying just yet. 'There's something wrong about this.' He thought.

"Damn it!" Brunhild cursed out as she smashed the wall as Geir started tear up sorrowfully.

"Damn it, so this is as far as he could make it huh." Ragna sighed out from his spot with his Valkyrie partner looking mournful for the loss of her sister.

'Something's not right here.' Zelretch thought to himself as Poseidon stood there gloating and insulting Slayer. 'His body has yet to vanish.'

"Oh Slayer." The Maiden in Black said mournfully as she truly believed the Monumental to be truly dead once and for all.

"Please, don't be dead." Yuria whimpered out. "You can't possibly be dead."

"Hah! About damn time we got a Victory~!" Loki cackled as Odin remained silent but did not looked displeased in the least.

"So that's how far he came." Aphrodite noted. "As tough as he was, he was no match for Poseidon whatsoever." She spoke.

"You were no more than a mere pest, and like the fate of all bugs, you were destined to die at the hands of a superior being such as myself! Be glad that you had that honor for there is very few Mortals that we Gods, personally go out of our way to kill you for." Poseidon said maliciously as he turned around and was about to demand Heimdall to announce his victory. Only the moment he tried to speak he couldn't…as blood was coming out of his mouth, and slowly but surely his eyes widened in disbelief as did everyone else's as he slowly turned his head around to see Slayer stabbing him in the back with both blades.

"As I said before, you talk too much!" He said as he dug his blades in deeper and tore through his side, causing him to cough up blood as Poseidon was then kicked by Slayer in the face and was sent skidding across the floor as everyone erupted into shock. All of them wondering how could Slayer possibly survive Poseidon's storm of water trident blows and remain alive long enough to do irreparable damage to him.

However, someone figured it out how he did it already. "So that's how you survived." Saint Urbain said with a smile. "You used Second Chance to resurrect yourself so you can endure longer and played dead so the God will drop his guard allowing you to get that attack in." He said before he started laughing joyfully. "To think my Miracle would save you at this juncture!"

"Damn it all! He had us!" Brunhild sighed out in relief as Geir was now crying joyfully as that meant that Humanity hadn't lost and Hrist has yet to die.

"So that was your plan." Zelretch said with a grin. "Nice one playing dead to get the drop in."

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Just how did that Human survive Poseidon's attacks and come back strong enough to do that?!" Ares shouted in disbelief as he had no idea how to understand the set of events before him.

"As I thought something was off." Hades said before he narrowed his eyes. 'Combined with Slayer's Magic that involves barriers, healing, and now apparently a resurrection spell of sorts, that means he could afford to outlast Poseidon in these conditions, and in his current state right now, that means the likelihood of him winning is…zero.' He thought to himself.

"That should not be possible!" Hermes said in stunned disbelief.

"How." Loki growled out. "How is it that these Humans keep on surpassing us in whatever way we thought to cull them down at?!" He roared as he snarled and chew on his hand as both Ravens remained silently scared of not just him but also Odin, who was seriously enraged beyond belief.

"You…!" Poseidon called out with a growl. "How dare you do this to me! ME OF ALL GODS!" He shouted as he snapped. "KNOW YOUR PLACE!" He roared out as he charged at Slayer with the intent to kill him regardless of what happened to him. Slayer at this point discarded his Dark Silver Armor set and swapped into his older Fluted Armor set as he calmly dodged every swing and thrust that Poseidon had made in his mad attempt to kill him.

Only he wasn't making any progress and Slayer knew that, as he could now easily read through Poseidon's moves. His rage was all but controlling him now, and that meant that his moves were extremely easy to predict. He calmly deflected or dodged every attack made onto him, but whenever Poseidon tried to attack him, he failed and allowed Slayer to make a counterattack as he cut more and more into Poseidon.

Poseidon, in response, had bulked his muscle up even more and gripped his trident with his remaining hand, as he tried to finish him off with God's Cascade bringing down the massive ball of water all at once! There was a huge explosion of water, everyone widened their eyes in shock and low and behold Slayer had pointed his hand upward to where the water ball exploded and in his hand was magic that glowed with power.

Slayer had used Fireball and the explosion that occurred after his fire spell made contact with the water, caused the water to lose cohesion and control and became useless as Poseidon stared in disbelief at the sight of his water being dispelled by flames of all things! "Your powers meaningless." Slayer said calmly. "You only have one hand now to hold your trident, which is traditionally a two-handed weapon." He added in. "Your composure is gone, and now you're frothing like a wild animal." He then said. "At this point, everything is absolutely Useless." He declared.

"You…you fucking piece of shit…! I had it with you…!" Poseidon with great rage as he then charged right at the Slayer of Demons and thrusted his trident to go right through his stomach but Slayer was able deflect it with ease and countered with a powerful slash to the head, which cut across Poseidon's forehead and making him bleed and literally see red when blood go into his eyes. Slayer at this point had decided since Poseidon was looking down on Humanity, he was going to return the favor.

"You get enraged so easily." Slayer scoffed to him as Poseidon tried to cut him down but fail to even land a hit. "And when things don't go your way, you throw a tantrum like a young child. You really are a pathetic excuse for a God, aren't you?" Slayer questioned as Poseidon's remaining self-control snapped and he roared like the wild animal that he was and was simply swing his trident around in a vain attempt to hit Slayer.

"DIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!" Poseidon roared out with great anger at Slayer as he lunged forward and attacked with Forty Day Flood at full power, moving faster and attacking deeper than before! But to Slayer, it was meaningless as Poseidon was bleeding out, the afterimages that weren't real were the ones that weren't bleeding out. And thus, Slayer could easily find Poseidon among them and crossed his blades into a scissor like formation before he caught Poseidon's Trident right between them and then with an application of brute force, shattered the shaft of his Trident, much to Poseidon's rage and disbelief.

Then Poseidon grabbed the tip of his trident with his remaining hand as he attempted to stab Slayer, but he calmly stopped it in its track as he then cut down Poseidon's remaining arm and Poseidon had no choice but to kick Slayer away and grab the end piece now with his mouth as he charged at Slayer. Slayer simply took a moment to remember all the lives that he had worked with, all the lives that he had saved, and all the lives that had aided him from Biorr, Ed, Boldwin, Urban, Yuria, Selen, and the Maiden in Black. 'To each and every one of you, thank you for your endless support till my time has come.' Slayer internally said gratefully to himself.

"Finally…got up nice and close. Hello, God of the Sea." Slayer spoke as he held Soulbrandt and Demonbrandt in his arms in a cross position. "And goodbye." He declared as he charged forth and slashed Poseidon's legs off before cutting him down to wait and shattering Trident with another slash before jumping up and holding his blades up as he brought it down for a Cross Slash and tear Poseidon into pieces as he realized his death now.

"You…son of a…Bitch!" He cursed as he ended up dead and ensuring that Humanity won its Third Round as everyone was in awe of what happened. There was silence for a moment, a single pause for everyone to absorb what had just happened. After that, all of Humanity cheered as some even shed tears of joy for Slayer's victory, as he finally let go of his combat pose and looked exhausted and tired out.

"It is done." Slayer said softly.

"UNBELIEVABLE! HUMANITY HAD WON OVER THE GODS FOR A THIRD TIME!" Heimdall shouted as every human cheered even louder for Slayer's victory with both Brunhild and Geir smiling victoriously as Zelretch smiled widely at the victory as Ragna and Randgriz cheered hard for Slayer's victory. Meanwhile with Kenshiro, he could only smile and nodded his head to Slayer in respect for his victory.

"He did it, the fearless mad lad did it~!" Biorr said happily as he clapped and roared in approval for Slayer's Victory.

"Excellent work, you did all that was asked of you and more, thank you for protecting us once more." Selen said with a soft gentle smile pointed towards the Slayer.

"Excellent work! You showed the Gods the Pride and Power of the Knights of Boletaria!" Ostrava clapped loudly for the Slayer of Demons.

"You won, thank goodness for that." Yuria the Witch said with tears of joy streaming down her face.

"Slayer, you have proven your might against Demons and now a God, truly you are the most exceptional warrior to have existed." The Maiden in Black said with a sweet smile. "I am honored to have been by your side throughout your journey in both life and death now."

"Well, he won, guess that excuses him from breaking my work." Blacksmith Ed sighed out but had a hale and hearty grin. "Ah who cares, he won!" He whooped out loudly.

"Aye that stupid lad did it, and now he's going to be insufferable about it for the rest of his life." Blacksmith Boldwin grumbled out but if one paid attention, he didn't sound that angry or annoyed.

Old King Doran simply observed the man before him as he finally spoke. "Slayer of Demons, you have proven to be superior to the Gods and now you are the greatest of all of us now, may your light shine deep in the darkness." He spoke.

And once more, a God fell before the Might of Humanity's Champion as the Gods were now despairing over the fact that three of their Strongest Gods went up against the Human Champions and not a single one of them managed to win or make a comeback against them. Leaving them in despair to wonder at just how many Gods they're going to lose in this battle.

"Damn it all to Hell and back." Slayer panted out. "That was exhausting beyond all belief." He said as his legs trembled with exhaustion as Hrist quickly came out and helped carried him. "Thank you, Lady Hrist." Slayer said gratefully.

"Slayer…keep it together." Hrist told him. "Are you alright?" She soon asked in concern but nodded at the compliment.

I'm fine…thank you Miss Hrist, I'm sorry for having to rely on you a bit more." Slayer apologized as Hrist shook her head.

"Nay Slayer, we Valkyries are chosen to become supports of great heroes and warriors, this much we can do is perfectly acceptable."

"Sister Hrist!" Geir shouted, happy her sister was alive.

"Do you got to squeal about every fucking thing!" Hrist shouted at her, then smiled. "I told you before, Geir. That we'd get them back for everything!" She said, giving the group a thumbs up and helping Slayer walk back inside.

"Yes!" Geir said with a smile. 'I'm so glad…she's still the same as ever…she's alright.' She thought. "With this…Humanity has beaten the Gods, right?" She asked Brunhild who simply shook her head.

"Nay Geir, we may have won Three Rounds, but until we have won Seven Rounds, then Humanity is still at risk." She reminded her. 'Assuming the Gods don't get spiteful and petty and change up the rules to suit them.' She added in mentally, which would not be out of the Realm of Possibility, especially with how Zeus forced himself to go first, for all she knew the Gods could be changing up the rules to make it suit them so they can have the advantage.

"There's always the possibility for a curveball." Zelretch nodded at Brunhild's words. 'And this is the first world that has the first three rounds of Ragnarök tipped in Humanity's favor.' He thought to himself. 'It is very possible that the Gods might change up the rules or force it because they're sore and petty losers like that.' Zelretch concluded in his mind. "Either way, we achieved another outstanding victory." He reminded them.

Brunhild nodded. "Indeed, and it's thanks to all the Warriors you had let us seen the files and gain access to." Brunhild said with a kind smile. "And for that alone, you have my eternal gratitude, Lord Zelretch." She said with a bow to the Wizard Marshall who laughed heartily.

"Don't be so formal, just consider it the good deeds of an old man wanting to protect the next generation is all." He said with a smile.

Meanwhile with the Gods, they were all considerably distressed and upset by what has happened, now that Poseidon has lost, this makes it the third straight loss that the Gods have suffered. Furthermore, each and every Champion that Humanity has sent out, has proven to be an exceptional warrior without peer or equal. And considering this is only the first three, they worried about the future warriors that Humanity will send out to fight against them.

Some of them started to believe that fighting Humanity as they were was a hopeless cause and already decided that Ragnarök was going to end in failure for the Gods. Other Gods still believed that they have a chance against the Humans and were ready to see them beat down like the insects that they believed them to be. Other Gods however, thought about changing the situation to make sure the battle is tipped in their favor, so that way they can win.

In a private room for Gods where they were discussing the current events of Ragnarök so far. Shiva slammed his fist into the table angrily as they've gone over what they know and how to proceed. "This is Madness!" Shiva growled out. "Here we are, the Creators of these Humans, and yet somehow, they're proving to be our Superiors in every Round so far, just how is it that these Humans gain such capable Warriors?" He muttered out angrily.

"I am aware of that." Hermes spoke up humorlessly. "So, I did some research on my own to learn more about these Humans." Hermes said as the Gods gathered in the room turned to him. "I gathered all the info I could so that way I could give our contestants an edge in knowledge of what they are capable of." Hermes explained.

"And what were the results?" Ares asked as he leaned forward in eager anticipation.

Hermes didn't have a smile whatsoever. "I found absolutely nothing on these Humans." He declared to the shock and surprise of the group.

"That's impossible!" Hades said. "How can there be no information of these Humans? They're dead, meaning that their Souls should have already been read and left in the Archive Halls so that way we can gloss over the history of any one human if we so desire to do so." He spoke.

"No, he's right." Loki spoke up as he looked very angry. "I've double checked the records myself, and I found no such case files for any of the Humans that were sent out to fight, and not a single one of them were in the Archives, furthermore I looked into the backgrounds and found that their history does not correlate with our history either." He continued on as everyone looked at him.

"So, what does that imply?" One of Odin's Raven cawed out. "It surely should not be that big of a deal now, is it?"

Hermes scoffed at that. "Oh, it's a big deal alright, mainly because they use powers that we have never seen or heard of before. Meaning that whatever knowledge we expect of these Humans, will not work on them. It means all preconceptions we had about them must be tossed away simply because they shatter the idea of what it means to be Human." Hermes said seriously.

"So that leave one more question." Odin rumbled and spoke for the first time in a while. "Who is the old man with the traitorous Valkyries? If the Champions are an Anomaly, then surely he is too?" He asked calmly.

"And he is." Bishamonten of the Seven Lucky Gods spoke up. "There's no record on him either, meaning he's also an anomaly." He answered to the Gods in the room. "And from what I looked over since the end of the Meeting to decide the Fate of Humanity, he appeared strangely enough after Brunhild spoke in favor of Humanity and there was no way he could have entered through any of our checkpoints." He said before he took a moment to breath and continued on. "Records that we have also told us that he can create portals to other places, but I was starting to think one thing, what if this man could create portals to worlds not our own?" He asked the Gods.

All of them looked on in disbelief in shock but Ares was the first to speak. "Then that means they can go across the Multiverse then." Ares said as he gritted his teeth. "Which means that while they are humans or considered humans, considering how we now know a Multiverse may exist, it may mean that Brunhild selected thirteen of the strongest Humans that are capable of matching Gods." He said to them all.

"And considering how different realities may be, some of those Humans may in fact possibly have slain Gods before as well." Shiva pointed out seriously. "Meaning that Brunhild didn't simply picked Gold Stars for her team, she picked the Veterans and All Stars of the Humans to fight for Humanity here." He said with a serious scowl.

"And we would not know a single thing about them, as there's no case files, meaning they're as much of a mystery to us, as our capabilities are to them." Loki sneered out. "Oh, that Bitch is fucking clever, she managed to outdo me in deception and now we're paying the price for it." He all but snarled.

"And even then, I have a strong feel that the Champions we've seen aren't even the strongest of the lot." Hermes added in. "No, I had a feeling that when the Champions arrived for Zeus's Match, the Golden One, the Ashen One, the Green One, the Bald One, and the Cloaked One are very powerful." Hermes said. "And if the power of what we've seen to be indicators, they may be able to defeat Gods with little to no issue then."

"So, what do we do then?" Bishamonten asked calmly.

"Oh, that's easy." Loki said sinisterly. "We cheat our way to Victory." He said with a dark smirk as every God turned to him, though Ares wasn't big on it as he preferred fair fights and knowing Loki and his reputation, the Rounds of Ragnarök were only going to get more vicious from now on.

"I can't believe, we won again." Geir said excitedly as she, Brunhild, and Zelretch returned to their meeting room now. "Three Matches down, and four more to go." She said excitedly.

"Indeed, but take care Geir." Brunhild warned Geir. "Often the Humans point out to a Man known as Murphy and his laws. Of what can go wrong will go wrong, and we do not wish to tempt the Man's Laws." She warned as Zelretch snorted.

"Murphy's Laws are tempted whether you tempt fate or not, it's being able to adapt to what Murphy throws at you that makes you stronger." He replied as both Valkyries nodded at that. "Either way, we've won Three Matches now, let us have faith in our Champions that they will win their Matches, or if necessary, go beyond the line of duty to fight for Mankind." Zelretch said.

Brunhild nodded. "Indeed, so now we need to ready ourselves for our next Round and who the God we're facing now. She said seriously as the trio, well more like the adult duo were planning and strategizing their next move for Ragnarök as Geir simply listened calmly to their scheming.
