Sai felt as if nothing would help his art block. never in his life had he ever had one, and to be honest it put him in a dull mood.

Which affected his girlfriend too. He didn't want to cuddle, he turned down any date ideas, and he even rejected her kisses. So at this point Sakura was ready to throttle him.

Safe to say the medic was tired of his attitude and it had only been a month since it started. But she was over it.

Hence her plan for today. Sakura dressed in a nice pastel blue sundress and cinched it under her chest with a white lace ribbon. Double checking that everything looked nice the medic left her house and cheerfully headed towards the artist's apartment.

All along the way, people moved out of her way naturally sensing the determination and stubbornness exuding from her.

Upon reaching the building Sakura spiked her chakra subtly, just enough to alert Sai that she was here and she wasn't playing around.

The pink-haired woman approached the right door and watched as it opened when she got closer. Her verdant eyes glimmered with affection as Sai stood in the door way with one hand on his hip.

"Sakura, what can I do for you?" His tone was bland but Sakura knew his question was out of genuine curiosity and not passive aggressive annoyance.

"We are going out around the village. And I am going to help you get inspiration."

Sai did his closed eyed smile, slightly exasperated but allowed the bull-headed woman to pull him out of the comfort of his apartment.

The first place on Sakura's list was the classic Hokage Cliff. They trekked the civilian route up the side of the cliff, though the walk was silent it was peaceful. Filled with the sounds of Konoha.

Overlooking the village, the two loyal soldiers stood. Sai, however, did not look out at their home, he instead watched his companions expression.

Her fairy-like green eyes warmed as she watched the civilians and shinobi alike conversing and laughing together.

He was entranced by the softness in her expressive eyes. So while she was focused on the afternoon traffic of the village, he started drawing.

In less then thirty minutes he completed his sketch of her and put away his pad and pencil. At this moment Sakura chose to pull out of her daze and turned towards him.

"I guess this site didn't work." She mumbled to herself not even questioning what he had been doing that whole time.

So she grabbed his hand pulling him to her next destination, Training Ground 44.

Though most people would say the place in mind is a horrible place, filled with ugly creatures and death-filled stench.

Sakura would state otherwise, it was a hauntingly beautiful place that gave a sense of adventure.

As they launched themselves onto a branch, completely hopping over the intimidating fence, Sakura let the atmosphere weigh down on her.

Again Sai watched as her neutral expression turn feral almost, eyes burned with a sense of challenge and her button nose scrunched as her mouth turned up into a snarl.

She looked positively radiant a complete 180 from her last warm filled look. But like before Sai whipped out his notepad and sketched just her face.

Few minute faster than last time, Sai excitedly finished his art placing his stuff back into his pouch.

Sakura preoccupied with a 60 foot centipede, allowed the adrenaline take over and misplaced her attention. So when she looked over at her boyfriend and saw him without a pad or pencil in sight, a sigh escaped her.

The medic once again grabbed Sai's hand, dejectedly leaving the training ground. So with the sun just beginning to set, Sakura led the artist back to his apartment.

A depressed silence loomed over the couple, well Sai was confused and Sakura was sad. She had genuinely hoped this would help him get inspiration but it appears to have only made things worse.

As they were standing in front of his door Sakura leaned her forehead against his chest as he instinctively placed his hand on her hips.

"I'm sorry Sai, I had really hoped that taking you to some my favorite places might help you like they do me." Her words tickled as they sent vibrations through his chest.

His brows furrowed in confusion as he pushed her away, he didn't see her hurt look as he dug through his pouch for his notebook.

Handing it to her he softly said "they did help, but not the places, you. I once read in a book that a self made gift is more heartfelt then a store bought gift. But I am only proficient at being a shinobi and art."

He paused causing her to look up at him. His previous soft look had darkened slightly and his brows once again furrowed in irritation.

"That was when I had no ideas on what to draw for you. But when we were walking around today, I couldn't help but draw your expressions. That way you can see what I see when I look at you."

Sakura finally reached the first drawing, it was amazing and drawn with some much affection. Her eyes were so deep and the details were so realistic in a fantastical way.

The second drawing took her breath way. It was wild but exciting, in this one Sakura almost looked dangerous but adventurous.

Looking up Sakura peered into his deep dark eyes "I can't describe in words what I feel for you. Which is infuriating. But you care for me in a soft way that warms me but then you excite me when you crush someone's sternum."

Sakura giggled almost embarrassed but hugged him close enjoying the subtle warmth he gave off, knowing that his affection could not be put into words but she understood perfectly.
