"Bold and the Beautiful"
Karen/Danielle: Danielle witnesses a heated argument between Bill and Karen, during which Bill threatens Karen. The next day, Karen gets into a car accident. Danielle is convinced that Bill is responsible, and becomes obsessed with proving it, even after Karen regains consciousness and informs everyone that Bill had nothing to do with it. Danielle can't understand why Karen would defend Bill, even if he is her brother. Will her obsession cost her the love of her life?
However, to everyone's shock, Bill is surprisingly understanding. After all, he did threaten Karen. And even though he's not responsible for the accident, (she was hit by a drunk driver), he gets where Danielle is coming from.
As Karen is being discharged from the hospital, things are still tense between the two women. Bill comes to drive them home, and he pleads with them not to let this situation destroy what they have. He admits how grateful he is that Karen has someone who loves and protects her so fiercely. And Danielle admits that she knows Karen doesn't need her protection, that she's more than capable of taking care of herself. But Karen immediately disagrees, saying something like, "yes, I can take care of my self, but I still need you. I love you, and I love how protective you are."
