Boo Boo Healer
It had been a long and hard day at school for Lori Loud. She had gotten back a test she studied very hard for, only to have gotten a C. She also once again got upstaged by Carol Pingrey during the golf team locker decorating contest.
Lori got home ready to finally relax, only to be greeted by the twins in a huge fight. The 17 year old sighed. "Lana! Lola! Break it up!"
The twins stopped fighting and looked up at their older sister.
"What's the problem this time?"
A few minutes later, Lori had resolved Lana and Lola's petty conflict. She was about to walk up the stairs when her mother called her name. "Lori, I need you to fold the laundry in the basement!"
Lori sighed. "Can't I do it tomorrow mom?"
"It needs to be done today honey." replied Rita.
"Why?" asked Lori.
"Because I said so," said Rita.
"Typical mom answer." Lori said in her head as she slogged down to the basement where mountains of unfolded laundry awaited her.
Lori slowly trudged up the stairs, completely exhausted. She was tired, unhappy, and wanted to sleep right now. The teen made it to the upstairs hallway and was about to enter her room when her path was intruded by her younger brother. "What Lincoln?" Lori mumbled almost inaudibly.
"Hey Lori, could you give me a ride to the comic store please?" said Lincoln. "The new Ace Savvy issue just released and it has a limited run and I need to get one before they're all sold out."
"It's been a rough day," said Lori giving Lincoln a look that portrayed tiredness and defeat. "So please just get out of my way." she yawned, lightly shoving her brother out of the way and walking into her bedroom. Usually Lori would shout at one of her siblings if they annoyed her when she was in a bad mood, but at this point she did not even have the energy to yell.
After seeing how disheveled Lori looked, Lincoln almost felt bad for asking her, but he knew something he could do to help cheer her up. The middle Loud child walked back to his room, pulled out his phone, and put in a call.
"Sup little Loud?" said Bobby, answering his phone.
"Hey Bobby, Lori had a really bad day today." said Lincoln. "I think-"
"Say no more." interrupted Bobby. "I know exactly what to do."
Lori lay on her bed with her face sunken into her pillow. She heard the doorbell ring downstairs. "Someone else will get it," she thought.
A few moments later her phone started to ring, she looked at it and saw Bobby was calling. "Hi Boo Boo Bear," she said, picking up.
"Hey Babe," said Bobby. "Heard you had a rough day today, so I have a little care package coming in."
Just then Lori's bedroom door opened with her brother carrying in a large bouquet of flowers and box of chocolates. "These were just delivered to our house." Lincoln said as he set them down right next to his sister and swiftly exited.
Lori looked at the delicates. The bouquet was made up of all her favorite flowers and the chocolates all had her favorite fillings. "Awww Bobby, you always know how to make me feel better." In a moment's notice, the blonde teen had completely forgotten about her bad day. All her focus was on how sweet her boyfriend was.
The couple continued to talk for hours, until Lynn Sr called out that dinner was ready. "I have to go now Boo Boo Bear." said Lori.
"Catch you later Babe," said Bobby.
"Bye Bobby," said Lori. "You hang up first."
"No, you hang up first." said Bobby.
"No, you hang up first." said Lori.
"No, you hang up first."
"No, you hang up first."
The rest of the Loud family was eating dinner downstairs. "What is keeping Lori?" Rita asked out loud. "Lincoln, would you go and check?"
"Okay," said Lincoln. As soon as he stood up from the table, Lynn Jr stood on her chair and poised herself to make a dive for Lincoln's food. "Lana, I'll give you half my dessert if you guard my dinner from Lynn." The middle child added.
"Done deal." Lana nodded. The young grease monkey then locked her gaze on Lynn. Lynn muttered to herself and sat back down.
Lincoln walked upstairs to Lori's bedroom where he heard his sister continuously say 'No, you hang up first.'
Lori, are you coming down for dinner?" Lincoln called knocking on her bedroom door.
"In a minute Lincoln," Lori called back. "No, you hang up first."
The white haired boy sighed. "This happens every time they're on a call together."
