Pikatwig: Hello, and it's time for another chapter of different possibilities for Kamen Rider. And we're going to the Rider season that has the most amount of endings… Ryuki.
KKD: The number of endings is just bonkers, and it really does feel debatable on what the true ending is. But why don't we see another angle?
Pikatwig: Which was a possibility introduced by Ryuki having the very first female Kamen Rider.
KKD: She does appear mainly in the movie, but we can easily incorporate her into this story given what could happen.
Pikatwig: Something I do find interesting is that she was asked to come back for Rider Time Ryuki, but the actress was expecting at the time and wasn't able to make the trip. In fact, per word from the actress and Toei, she gave birth while they were filming that special. And then her suit just flat out wasn't in the special out of respect, I guess.
KKD: Well… what a shame that was. But congrats to her.
Pikatwig: Although, 'Kamen Rider Femme' for the first female Rider… little on the nose.
KKD: Yea. Little much for our purposes, but it's canon, so we'll keep it… *chuckles* That's what you may think, but this is another reality.
Pikatwig: And, for the purposes of this tale, Dragon Knight's name of "Kamen Rider Siren" fits a lot better.
KKD: Fair point. Anything else before we proceed?
Pikatwig: Not that I can think of.
Disclaimers: Neither KKD Silver nor Pikatwig own the rights to anything in this other than the original concepts and characters introduced within. Kamen Rider, and the rest belong to Toei, NamcoBandai, and their respective owners.
Content Warning: This chapter will contain various moments of sexual interactions (that aren't too explicit), pre-2015 viewpoints of LGBTQ+ (that do not reflect the views of either participating writer), and a character attempting to end their own life. Ao Woz was simply sitting around and continuing to read a book, this one appearing to be mostly red and gold with a dragon on the cover, with the spine having the names of Shinji Kido and Ren Akiyama.
"The tale of Kamen Rider Ryuki is a most… fascinating one…" he spoke, holding up the book in question before revealing a stack of similar books with identical spines and texts on them, yet they were all noticeably smaller than the first one, "And there's even a wholly different tale with the visuals, yet the names and the story are so vastly… vastly… different…"
He soon plucked off a book that looked similar to the Ryuki one, but instead had a spine with the names Kit Taylor and Len. He opened it up and briefly perused it for a bit, coming upon a chapter with the label of 'A Rider's Resolve' that was written in both English and katakana, "Such as… the Rider mostly known across the worlds as 'Kamen Rider Femme' is instead 'Kamen Rider Siren'... most fascinating..."
Ao Woz soon set the book aside and turned back to the main book that he was reading from, with a noticeably missing gap for a conclusion of the book, "Ryuki is a Rider of many mysteries. He may have disappeared, yet continues to appear alongside other Riders. Kido-san is someone who is a symbol of optimism in the midst of a war, a light in the darkness as it were, and somebody you could truly call a pillar of how a Kamen Rider should act. All because of Kamen Rider Knight acting to help someone. ...yet… a different possibility exists…"
With that, Ao Woz turned to his stack of Ryuki related books and plucked out one that was a mixture of red and white, the dragon mingling with a swan, and while Shinji's name was still on it, instead of Ren's name, was the name Miho Kirishima.
"This story… it's not quite as happy. ...then again, Kamen Riders aren't always suitable for children. There are many tales out there that won't have as happy of an ending as one may think, but… I think it's time we begin this one…" he spoke, opening up the book…
February 3rd, 2002
"In the story you know, on February 3rd of 2002, Kido-san was helping a reporter for his newspaper investigate a disappearance, only for them to get kicked out of the crime scene. Kido-san managed to keep his job in the story you know…"
Shinji and Reiko both walked away from the crime scene as quickly as they could, with Reiko trying her best to keep calm in spite of Shinji having messed up her investigation.
"I told you not to shout at the scene!" Reiko proclaimed to him.
"Ah… I'm sorry…" Shinji quickly apologized.
"You had one job!" Reiko remarked.
"...have… you mean?" Shinji nervously asked.
"I don't care what the chief says or does, but you're in my way. You're fired," Reiko told him.
"Eh?!"
"Get lost."
"But… the boss-"
"I don't care what he says. Get lost already!"
"But the robbery story I'm-"
"GET! LOST!"
Reiko walked off in a frustrated huff, leaving Shinji completely by himself. He sighed, clearly in defeat as he ended up walking off.
"And our point of divergence now begins…"
Shinji quietly walked off without a word to some people he happened to pass by and without a single word as he packed up his belongings from the office. He looked over the few notes that he made about a recent reports of robbery that had some strange overlaps with the disappearances, but said nothing as he walked off.
Elsewhere, within an apartment complex, a female figure walked into a room that had any and every reflective surface covered up. The figure moved quietly and quickly before noticing what seemed like some sort of deck of some sort laying on the ground. She happily picked it up and looked at it with intrigue, taking notice of the deck not having any defining traits to it.
"O~h… lucky find…" she remarked, soon hearing something as loud as a kind of screech noise, turning around to find what seemed like a gap in the coverings and what seemed like a red dragon floating around in the reflective surfaces of the building nearby, "Well, I guess we have to deal with that soon…"
She was about to make an exit, but she ended up walking out into the hallway just as someone else did. The other person quickly noticed her and was clearly not expecting whoever she was.
"Hey! Who are you?!"
The figure quickly made a run for it, briefly glowing to indicate a shift of some sort, but some officers started to tail after her. She was forced to leap away and try to hide out, but some other cops kept spotting her.
A saddened Shinji just walked along, walking back to his apartment as he internally mulled over what he was going to do, '...I guess ramen will do while I try to find a new job. Maybe I'll find someone willing to pay me to help?'
Shinji soon heard somebody running in a hurry. The clacking of high heels started to get louder and louder, which made him stop walking and turn up in confusion. He turned to see a woman running down the street and trying to get away from some people. He couldn't quite tell who was chasing after this woman, but he figured he had to do something. Shinji took a step forward, which made the woman notice him. The woman quickly grabbed Shinji and pulled him into a nearby alleyway and got as close up to him as possible. Shinji was about to say something, but the woman simply spoke to him in a quiet tone.
"Don't say a word."
Shinji just complied as they stepped deeper into the alley and remained as quiet and still as they could. They heard the officers as Shinji looked worried as he simply did his best to remain quiet and still, while the woman just kept a calm and cool head. The officers soon passed by without noticing either of the people. The woman poked her head out for a bit, quickly glanced around, then exhaled. Shinji just looked confused at her, only to get led out of the alleway and scratch his head as the woman exhaled calmly.
"...what was that all about?" Shinji eventually asked.
"Don't worry about it," was all the woman told him, taking him down the direction opposite of the officers, "Just don't say anything and don't draw attention to us."
"H-hai…" Shinji nodded.
"Meeting the right people will turn you into a hero. ...but meeting the wrong people? ...let's see what becomes of Kido-san…"
The two eventually ended up a fair distance away from the officers and the woman allowed Shinji to start talking, though she evaded or danced around most of his questions.
"Kido Shinji. What about you?"
The woman simply observed Shinji for a bit, then noticed something out of the corner of her eyes. She quickly moved to make sure Shinji wouldn't see it, then handed him something. He looked to see it was the blank deck the woman had taken from the apartment, along with a slip of paper that had a phone number on it.
"Keep an eye on that for me. I'm going to need a little bit of space. I'll need some way to contact you. You're going to be helping me with this"
Shinji blinked a bit before he took out his business card that mentioned his now former job, "...eh… ignore the work number. I got fired."
"Eh, no big deal for me," she responded as she accepted the card and quickly scratched out the work number on it.
"...how will I know it's you if I don't know your name?"
She was about to say something, only to realize Shinji had a bit of a point.
"...Kirishima. Just call me Kirishima," was what the woman told Shinji before she walked off.
"Hai."
Shinji walked along to try to find his way home, not sure what to expect as he just tried to keep the case safe. Unbeknownst to him, the woman was simply watching and observing, keen to make sure something would happen.
'Best case scenario, this Kido guy will net Blancwing at least two monsters to feast on. Worst case… well, perhaps he can be a good distraction,' Kirishima thought, simply watching, noticing something in the reflections of the windows that didn't match what was seen. In the reflections were both the dragon that she had seen earlier, as well as some sort of spider, and she seemed fascinated by it before she heard Shinji grunting as if in pain. He stumbled back a bit, grasping the case that she had given to him, before he seemingly phased right through a car, 'Jackpot.'
She rushed over to a window and soon noticed a second of the spider monster was roaming around.
"Two Dispiders? Looks like it's a feeding frenzy for the swan," Kirishima remarked as she got out a white deck with a gold symbol akin to a swan before holding it to the window, forming a silver belt on her waist, "Henshin!"
She slid the deck into the belt and gained a white and black suit with silver ports all over, a swan motif, and a knight-like helmet. With that, she walked into the mirror and disappeared...
Shinji, now in a black and gray suit with an appearance vaguely similar to what Kirishima had on minus the swan motif, tried to run away from the first of the Dispiders as best he could, ducking behind some large pipes as he tried to get away. The large red dragon soon noticed him, which caused him to go running right back into the open and in the line of sight of both Dispiders.
"...is… is this it…?"
=FINAL VENT!=
Suddenly, a giant white, mechanical, looking swan flew up and flapped its wings at the giant bug, launching it up into the air, although the second Dispider quickly got in the way of the attack, soon making it land right as the swan dove right down to it. The swan then cleaved right through the Dispider, making it turn into some kind of white, glowing, core. The core was soon swallowed in one gulp by the swan as it flew around.
"Su… sugee…" Shinji mumbled, only to then get wrapped up in some sort of webbing.
He struggled to even reach his waist as the Dispider just looked him over and was trying to decide what it wanted to do.
"Really, Kido? You got caught that easily?"
Shinji quickly recognized the voice and turned to see Kirishima in her Rider form. She pulled out a rapier with a swan-wing guard as she walked towards him.
"K-Kirishima?! What is happening?! What are these things and why are they attacking me?!"
"I get you're an ex-reporter, but do you have to ask so many questions?" she responded, turning away from Shinji, swinging her rapier at the giant arachnoid monster as it tried to do something with Shinji.
"Help me! Please!"
"You don't get something without giving something. Make me a deal and we'll talk…"
Shinji was just in a panic as he saw the arachnid look at him, "I'll… I'll… I'll take you out for dinner? I'll pay what I can."
This clearly wasn't something that Kirishima was interested in as she took a step away from the monster and Shinji.
"I'll take you shopping for whatever you want! ...within reason."
"You're not good at this…" Kirishima exhaled. She was even about to walk away, let Shinji get eaten as the monster grinned.
"You can stay at my apartment whenever! I'll even give you a key!"
The white swan Rider just stood, ignoring Shinji's screams for help. She even tapped the point of her rapier as if to say 'do better'.
"I'LL DO ANYTHING YOU WANT! ANYTHING YOU ASK, I'LL DO!"
This remark finally seemed to get her attention, making her turn around, "...you swear?"
"YES!"
"Now we're talking…" the Rider smirked, quickly scanning a card into the guard of her rapier.
=SPEED VENT!=
Shinji didn't even see the Rider move, but the monster was clearly being struck by a rapid assault of pierces that forced it to let him go and make him sprawl out on the ground. The Rider just kept up the speedy assault as the swan flew back in and made a few attacks.
The monster let out an angered roar as it tried to charge forward, but the Rider proceeded to simply load a card that showed her symbol on a white background, shoving it into some sort of reader on the rapier.
=FINAL VENT!=
"Blancwing! Dinner time," the Rider called out.
The swan let out a majestic cry before flying in and slicing clean through the monster like a hot knife through butter. The spider let out a cry of agony before exploding, making its core fly up and get consumed by the bird.
"Nice one," the Rider smiled before she heard the dragon roar, turning to see the red asiatic dragon flying in and trying to blast the two humanoids.
"A dragon?! What is this place?!" Shinji proclaimed, ducking as the dragon was hit by the swan.
"Last one… that dragon…" the Rider observed, with the swan going straight after it at almost blinding speeds.
The swan, Blancwing, fiercely attacked the red dragon with the clear intent to beat it. Its wings slashed at the monster and managed to bring it down to the ground. The red dragon let out a weak roar as it tried to search for any means to escape the oncoming attack, only to notice the blank Seal Card that Shinji had dropped. The dragon then made a diving motion, going right into the card as Shinji gasped, seeing the grayish parts of his suit turn red and he gained more dragon like features. Kirishima ended up gasping as well and just stared at this sight.
"Well… this wasn't what I was expecting… not even close…"
They soon heard somebody approaching in a hurry, making the swan Rider proceed to grab the dragon Rider and shove him back through a reflective surface before following him out.
"...what? ...the spider monsters… they're… gone?" a male voice questioned, "Eh?"
An exhausted Shinji just plopped onto a chair in his apartment as Kirishima walked in and quickly closed the door. She then sat down across from him and tried covering up the reflective surfaces with anything she had. Once enough were covered, she gave a calm exhale.
"Kirishima…?"
"Miho."
"...eh?"
"Since we're working together now, it'll be fine that you know my name. Kirishima Miho. You're Kido Shinji, so thanks again for that. What you just witnessed was what is known as the Mirror World. The short of it… monsters over there kidnap humans to eat them, and anyone who stays there too long without protection like the suits we had would die. People with suits like ours are trying to kill us. I'll explain the deal of that another time, but the point is that we gotta get rid of those monsters. Simple."
"...that thing was going to eat me?!" Shinji yelled.
"It doesn't matter now. I saved you," Miho casually responded, "There are a lot of things that may not make sense, but you'll need to roll with it."
Shinji just blinked and let out a heavy sigh, clearly not sure what to think or say as he just watched Miho start to get comfy. He blushed a little bit as he noticed her pose.
"In that other world, I'm known simply as Kamen Rider Siren," Miho explained as she ended up taking off her shoes and relaxing on the couch, "I'm paired up with that swan, Blancwing, and am just fighting for my sake."
"Kamen… Rider? What's that?"
"Heck if I know. I just hear that title tossed around over there while avoiding the other Riders and just ran with 'Siren'," Miho shrugged, pulling out her deck, "I just know each Rider has a deck like these, and whoever wins some big fight will get whatever they want via a wish."
"...a wish?"
"Basically," Miho nodded, twirling around her deck and soon spotting Shinji's, "Hey, Kido? Just wanted to say… thanks for the save earlier."
"You're welcome… I guess…" he nodded.
"Since we're working together, how about you take lessons from me since I've been at it longer? I'll show you the ropes," Miho assured him, "Well… you don't have a choice since you said you'd do whatever I want. So yea. Get up bright and early tomorrow so we can train."
"...what have I gotten myself into…?" Shinji mumbled.
"Well, buckle up, buttercup. You're under my wing now," Miho responded with a relaxed smile, soon leaning into the couch taking a deep breath as she just unintentionally posed a bit.
'Well… 'Siren' is right…' Shinji thought as his eyes wandered across Miho's body, blushing a little as he admired her a bit.
"And little would Kido-san know… he was caught right in the siren's spell…"
The next morning arrived, and Shinji dragged himself up to try to start early. He heard the shower running and quickly recalled what had happened the previous day, realizing he had to get ready for whatever Miho would throw at him.
The two were now transformed into Rider form and in the Mirror World. They stared at each other before getting into battle positions, but Siren ended up going right on the attack without even giving the dragon Rider much of an opportunity to figure things out.
"Wait, wait! What am I supposed to-"
"In a real battle, your opponent isn't going to wait!" she shouted, swinging her weapon, "You must not hesitate to strike back!"
The dragon Rider got knocked back a fair bit, with Siren simply giving a gesture to indicate for him to try his best to attack. The dragon Rider managed to stand and charged forward, only for Siren to effortlessly dodge him.
About an hour had passed and Shinji had quickly managed to summon a sword and land a few good hits, but ended up getting knocked down to his butt, slamming against a wall, before he just fell on his back and tried to catch his breath.
"Wow…" Siren remarked as she saw the dragon Rider laying on the ground, "I thought dragons were supposed to be tough. You really are pathetic."
"...I'm aware…"
"But, worry not. I'll mold you into someone tougher," Siren told him, "When I'm done, you'll be the strongest Rider."
"...you mentioned other Riders before…"
"Supposedly, there's about thirteen or fourteen of us out here. Not sure about the specifics, but I do know there are at least two others right now, with more on the way. Or at least there will be. Some guy said there will be when I got my belt," Siren explained, "Kanzaki something. I never really got his name, just knew that he's the guy in charge and he laid down some of the rules."
"Two others?"
"One with a bat and one with a stingray," Siren elaborated, "Though, I think he said something about a dragon unlocking potential. Said something like 'The dragon of Ryuki is a key'... or something…"
"Ryuki… you think that could be me?"
"Not entirely sure seeing how sloppily you fight…" Siren responded, "Still, we're sticking together. You're pretty much a goner if the bat or stingray find you…"
"...there were rumors about a bat guy with a mask and on a motorcycle…" the dragon Rider, Ryuki, seemed to realize.
"Our best option at the moment is to try to avoid the other Riders as much as we can while you get better at fighting. Cause if you're as sloppy as you are now against them… you're pretty much dead," Siren remarked.
This seemed to make Ryuki freeze up in fear, making him gulp before he pointed towards what seemed like some sort of a crab monster that was roaming around. Siren groaned in response as she slipped in a card to deal with it.
=ADVENT!=
Blancwing appeared and flew to strike at the crab quickly and rapidly. Ryuki simply watched, then proceeded to mimic the motion. This allowed him to summon the dragon from before who spit fire at the crab, which caused it to explode. The dragon quickly stole the core and managed to consume it, leaving the swan to growl.
"You're learning. Good."
Ryuki faintly blushed under his helmet at the compliment, but he regained himself soon after and heard what sounded like screaming. He and Siren quickly walked over to see a person fading away, he was panicking, trying to crawl over to a window, but another beast came to him and blocked the escape, making the person fade away.
"...what… just…?" Ryuki questioned.
"You just killed that guy's Contract Monster and sentenced him to death here," a voice said, making Ryuki and Siren turn to see a more bat-themed knight-like Rider that was shades of blue walk over, clearly looking like he was ready to fight, "You realize that you did that."
"...we did what…?" Ryuki spoke, looking panicked at what happened and not being sure what to do.
"And as Kamen Riders, we must fight…" the bat Rider proclaimed, aiming his blade at Siren and Ryuki, as Siren gave an annoyed exhale before she moved in front of Ryuki, clearly wanting to protect him. The bat Rider simply observed this and scoffed, "Stand aside, woman. This is no place for people like you. This is between me and the dragon knight."
"I'll have you know that I am as capable as any man…" Siren growled, readying her rapier.
The bat-themed Rider looked unimpressed as he prepared his blade before inserting a card into it.
=SWORD VENT!=
He then got a large javelin-like blade in his other hand, letting him fling it forward at Siren. However…
=GUARD VENT!=
Ryuki moved in front of her with a shield in the form of the dragon's torso and legs. This caused the javelin to bounce away from the two, the red dragon Rider panting as Siren just looked at him.
"Thanks, but I'm not some damsel."
"...sorry. I just… moved on instinct…"
The bat Rider just scoffed a bit, quickly grabbing the javelin. He spun it around before preparing to charge again. As he did this, Siren grabbed Ryuki and they both passed through a mirror back into the real world. The bat Rider could only exhale and exit out another way, the man sighing as he adjusted his coat and saw a younger girl approaching him.
"What happened? I thought I heard screaming…" the girl asked.
"Kamen Rider Scissors has died. 12 candidates remain, but I saw both the swan and the dragon. It appears they are allies…" the man informed.
"That doesn't sound right…"
The man just exhaled and walked off, the woman not sure what to say as she followed after him.
Shinji and Miho returned to the apartment not long later. The former-reporter looked panicked as he thought about the man's screams. He was clearly not thrilled about what had just happened.
"Did… did we really kill that guy…?" Shinji asked.
"Does it matter?" Miho responded.
Shinji just had this pale and scared look on his face, making Miho exhale a bit. She then approached him and tried to speak, but Shinji didn't react to her trying to get his attention.
"Oi. Kido," Miho spoke up, sitting down across from him and holding his head up to her eye level, "We didn't kill that guy. All we did was destroy that crab thing as it was close to eating us. That guy was nothing more than some sap who got dragged in and the knight guy was clearly after him."
"...huh?"
"Think about it. That knight guy said Riders need to fight each-other, so in the end we just helped get rid of any competition and made things easier in the long run," Miho continued speaking.
Shinji thought it over a bit, not quite sure what to say, slowly managing to try to think of something, "But-"
Miho suddenly stomped her foot on the table in front of him, letting the former reporter look at her leg. She gently moved her hand along it, a grin forming on her face. She knew most men had trouble not looking away and just kept at it. Shinji's face started to light up red at this, flustered from her sudden sensual motions. He couldn't turn away from it, mesmerized as she put her other leg on the table.
"You liking what you see~?" Miho teasingly asked, making Shinji nod with a blush, "You can see much more if you promise to keep helping me and doing what I ask of you. No questions asked, no worries, and no hesitation if I tell you to do something."
"Y-Yes ma'am," Shinji quickly nodded.
Miho giggled a bit, slapping herself on her thigh, before she got a confident smile on her face. All Shinji could do was heavily blush and smile as the woman simply relaxed a bit.
"At this point in the proper history, while Kamen Rider Scissors would be dead and Kido-san would have his doubts… he would know about Kanzaki Yui and be progressing on the path to stop the Rider War. However, working alongside Miho, Shinji would progress towards a more selfish goal and becoming corrupted…"
A few weeks had passed and Shinji let out a heavy sigh as he got a notice from his landlord that told him his payment was overdue and if he couldn't pay the rent in two days, he would be kicked out. He let out a heavy groan as he looked it over, clearly not sure what to do, head banging the table and just trying to quickly think.
"...what am I going to do…?" Shinji exhaled.
"What's wrong?" Miho asked as she walked out of the bathroom... wearing only a towel.
"Landlord says we're a day or two away from being evicted…" Shinji informed as he turned around, only to quickly turn away from her with a blush.
"Oh, that's nothing. We can easily get some money," Miho told him as she walked towards him, taking a quick seat before smiling, "Trust me. I have the perfect way to go about this."
"Alright then…" Shinji nodded nervously.
A few hours passed and Shinji was simply waiting around on a motorcycle in the real world. He looked over the mostly concealing outfit that Miho ordered him to wear and how his motorcycle's plate was covered up…
Over at a bank, people were going about their business and completely oblivious to what was about to happen when the alarms started to go off, although nobody was holding anyone up and nobody had been seen going in or out.
In the vault room, Siren stuck tons of money into a sack and hauled it into the mirror world so people wouldn't be able to track it. She soon heard people trying to open the vault and quickly disappeared into the mirror world via a reflective surface. She made sure no one else could see and hurried off. Once the police got the vault open, they saw no entrance or exit for anyone to have gotten in or out. This left them completely baffled as to how the robbery could've occurred.
Shinji exhaled as he continued to wait, only to start hearing a sort of distorted noise. He soon saw Siren moving via the reflective surface nearby, ushering him to follow as she moved forward in the mirror world. Shinji just nodded and started moving the motorcycle forward, making sure to stay ahead of anyone suspicious, seeing Blancwing and Siren carrying the sacks forward.
'Just go with what she does… just go with what she does…' Shinji thought.
After a bit, Shinji reached a mostly empty field save for some reflective areas. Siren quickly stepped out and reverted back. She whistled as Blancwing dropped off the sacks of cash through the car window she came out of and quickly grabbed them, then handed one over to Shinji.
"Alright, not much further," Miho stated.
"Ok… so remind me why you just didn't have me wait here…?"
"You'd be more easily noticed here. It's much easier to have you show up here when I could shift out," Miho quickly explained.
Shinji simply nodded his head a little as he took one of the sacks and slid it on. Shinji had a moment of hesitation, clearly wondering if this was right. He soon felt Miho put her arms around him and lean close to him, silently urging him to start driving the motorcycle. He relented and then took off as fast as he could.
Some hours later, the stolen money was handed to the landlord for the payment for the apartment. The landlord just accepted it without asking any questions, giving the two another three months to stay. Shinji and Miho returned to the apartment and got the chance to sit and relax.
"I can't believe I just did that…" Shinji exhaled a bit.
"How you feeling? Was it fun? Did you feel any sort of rush? Any kind of excitement?" Miho asked, Shinji looking to his hands for a moment before he gave a slow, if shaky, nod. Miho giggled a bit, "I knew you'd get the rush. It was fun, right?"
Shinji didn't really react to this question as he looked to some of the stolen cash, still a little hesitant about what happened.
"It'll get easier and easier. Trust me, you'll be able to steal and con your way out of anything soon enough," Miho told him as she got closer to Shinji, as the dragon rider just blushed and ultimately decided to just let her get closer.
"I'll trust you…"
Miho smiled and gave Shinji a kiss on the cheek before she walked away to hide the rest of the stolen money, putting a bit of a sway in her step and making sure Shinji could see her. Shinji couldn't help but watch, simply smiling at the woman before him.
The news soon reported on the incident, the news of the supposed 'phantom thief' going all across Japan. The report soon reached a cafe that was in the town as it was observed by Ren and the young woman he was with.
"Ren… do you think…?" the young woman with the bat Rider asked.
"That it was a Kamen Rider? Probably. Scissors was a murder, so a thief would make sense. I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone new…" Ren admitted as he walked around and tried to look at any signs of the footage to see if there was a Rider anywhere, "Don't worry, Yui. I promised I would keep you safe. Even if another Rider tries to rob this store, they won't get far."
The woman, Yui, just sighed at this as Ren looked to his deck and decided to let himself try to be calm for a moment.
A few days went by without much other than the three Riders encountering Mirror Monsters as well as each other on occasion, but Ryuki and Siren kept managing to pull a getaway from the bat Rider.
"Oh come on…" the bat Rider growled as he saw the two were nowhere in sight, slamming his fist into the wall nearby.
"Stop right there!"
The bat Rider turned around and took notice of another Rider quickly approaching him. This one was a lime green sort of color, with silver and red accents that made it resemble a chameleon and even had a slot on his left leg for the card inserts.
"You're under arrest, thief!" the green Rider yelled.
"...thief?"
The Chameleon Rider simply held up what looked like a police badge before he then scanned a card.
=SWORD VENT!=
"Kamen Rider Verde, officer of the law! You're coming in with me, thief!" the Rider, Verde, yelled as he charged forward.
On the other side of the mirror, Shinji and Miho briefly watched this and looked surprised to see this unfolding. Miho couldn't help but laugh a little from what she heard, covering her mouth a little before she let herself laugh a bit.
"He thinks it's that one! Man, I can't believe that guy was so quick to assume it was the bat. Ba~ka~," she proclaimed, more or less to herself and Shinji, the latter subtly chuckling with her laughter as they watched this for a bit.
"Identify yourself!" Verde proclaimed.
"If you must know… Kamen Rider Knight. And I'm no thief!" the bat Rider, Knight, shouted back.
"You lie! You may be a Rider, but only one of us could've managed to make that heist with this other world! I am going to arrest you for robbing the bank!"
"News flash, there's supposed to be ten other ones apart from us! It's not my fault, and Raia's too much of a goody-goody to even think of it!" Knight retorted.
"Urusei!" Verde shouted as he scanned another card.
=COPY VENT!=
Suddenly, Verde's appearance shifted into that of Kamen Rider Knight's. The bat Rider was stunned by this before Verde-Knight pulled out the lance used by the real one.
"Okay… let's get going…" Shinji suggested.
"Good idea," Miho nodded quickly as they hopped onto the motorcycle and sped off.
Knight continued to fight against the copy, the two evenly matched before Knight looked to see the duo getting away in the real world.
"I missed them… because of you…" Knight growled, parrying a slash from the copy.
"What are you talking about?"
"Like I said, there's at least ten more of us! And two of them are an allied force," Knight quickly explained, "The dragon and the swan. They are more than likely the ones responsible for stealing from the bank."
This made Verde-Knight pause for a moment, clearly not sure what happened and not sure what to think.
"...I see that I may have jumped to conclusions…" the Rider realized as he shifted back to his natural Rider form, "Why don't we step outside and talk about this?"
Ren let out a heavy sigh as he looked at the police officer, seeing his badge read 'Ozora Keizo'. The officer was in the expected black garb of the police unit while wearing a lime green tie and was generally looking like he was some sort of nice guy.
"You said there's ten more, right?"
"At least. The guy who gave me the deck said that there's a grand minimum of thirteen of us, one's already dead, and then there's five of us," Ren explained.
"Us, the two you said are responsible, and… Raia, you said?"
"I worked with him about a week and got tired of how goody-good he was," Ren informed.
"I see. Well perhaps the three of us can work together?" Keizo suggested.
"No. I told you I got tired of his act. Unless you're willing to deal with what is… basically a shounen protagonist, then I suggest you stay out of my way and just work with me."
Keizo exhaled a little bit as he simply allowed the man to walk forward.
"In one of Ryuki's many stories, Kamen Rider Verde did appear, but was almost as much of a liar and killer as Femme and Scissors put together. And he was a different person… but, circumstances have long changed…"
Some monsters tried to get out of the way of an on-coming double Rider Kick from Knight and Verde, but the two still managed to land the fatal blow on the two. Both monsters blew up, and their respective beasts quickly gobbled up the energy from them. The two Riders panted a little before they looked at the smoke from the blast.
"Mission complete," Verde proclaimed.
All Knight did was let out a sigh, not wanting to respond to this as they walked off. However, as they walked, they heard footsteps. They both stood ready to continue as they saw another green Rider, only this one had the green on the bodysuit with silver and black on the armor itself, and had a vaguely minotaur theme to it while holding some kind of gun.
"Another Rider?" Verde questioned.
"You're in my way…" the green Rider proclaimed as he quickly opened fire on them as the two Riders were forced to dodge the onslaught of attacks.
Elsewhere, Miho was in a mansion and talking with a young man. The man in question seemed rather curious about her, yet they did seem to be close.
"Miho, have you at all considered my offer?" he asked as he held out a small box out to the woman as she walked a bit, "You'd be as well off as you'd ever need to be. All the riches in the world and whatever else you could ever want."
"Takuma-san, I appreciate it," she responded.
"Think about it. You'd be the wife of THE Takuma Mizuoka! You would be the wealthiest woman in ALL of Japan and we'd be happy and wealthy together!" the man, Mizuoka, clearly overconfident of himself and his riches.
Miho hid a roll of her eyes as Mizuoka continued to boast, 'Seriously, this guy is far too easily fooled. Why would any woman actually fall for someone this boastful and stupid? Maybe looks, but even Kido's more handsome than this idiot. Plus, con guy. You're easily blinded by your want to get more and more. It's always a joy to out-con another con artist.'
She took a glance out at the window and could see Ryuki. She gave him a quick little wink, which gave him the signal. With that, Ryuki quickly moved through the reflections. Miho then smiled and looked at the box with the ring for a bit, "How much did you spend on it?"
"For someone I love, no money is too much. You could have all the jewelry and money you could ever want," Mizuoka insisted.
Suddenly, two people charged on in. Miho recognized one of them from Ore Journal, that being Reiko from what Shinji had mentioned about her, but the other one was a complete stranger.
"Hold it right there, Takuma! If that's even your real name!" the guy alongside Reiko yelled.
"Wh-What is the meaning of this?" Mizuoka demanded as Reiko and her assistant walked over.
"You're a con artist and you were about to swindle this woman," Reiko proclaimed, Miho subtly smiling as Mizuoka looked flabbergasted at the accusation.
"Con artist?! You have no proof!"
"We've recently gotten an anonymous tip slating your swindling of over millions of yen away from young woman, selling illegally obtained goods on the black market, creating some sort of carbon emitting factory that was poisoning New Zealand, and trespassing," the assistant called out.
Before Mizuoka could even say anything else...
"Oi, what's with all of the noise?!" an older man yelled as he walked in, "Who are all of you?!"
This left Mizuoka easily stunned as he was trying to find a way out of this situation.
Suddenly, the power went out in the house. Most everyone was looking greatly confused as there was a slight rustling before the lights returned. When it came back on, Miho had vanished, as did the ring Mizuoka had offered, in addition to some money and jewelry that was laying around.
"You, get out of my house!" the older man yelled to Mizuoka, not noticing the stolen goods.
"We already called the police," Reiko informed.
Shinji looked at the car of his former co-workers and took a crowbar and ended up damaging the windows and the tires with a good swing. He took a moment to calm down and almost grinned at what he just did. With that, he headed into a reflective surface and ducked right in as Ryuki, rolling out as he looked at the damaged car.
"Ohlala," Siren called out as she saw Ryuki enter, "I saw that just now. Damaging up the reporters' car to keep them off our trail and get some revenge against the woman who made you lose your job. Does it feel good to be bad?"
"Well I… uh… that is to say… w-well… um… I… uh…" Ryuki stumbled a bit, clearly still getting the hang of the criminal acts.
Siren giggled a little at this, "Still a little green for a red dragon. Don't worry about it. For now, you know the drill."
Ryuki just nodded as he took a bag with the things Siren stole and they hurried off.
Mizuoka sat in a holding cell a few hours later and growled in anger, "That da*n woman… she tricked me! Made off with all of my goods and made me look like a fool!"
He soon smacked a wall and looked at a mirror… only to see that it wasn't his reflection. He couldn't make out who it was, but the figure stood in some sort of a golden cloak and emitted some kind of golden aura around his form. Mizuoka gave a confused and almost worried gasp as he took a step back.
"You want revenge… don't you?" the cloaked figure questioned, simply holding out a blank deck with not much to it, except for two teal shark-like Mirror Monsters standing beside him now, "You must fight. Do it… and revenge is yours."
Mizuoka stared at the item being phased through the mirror, thinking things through for a moment before grabbing the deck and holding it up.
"This man… in one timeline, he was killed by a Mirror Monster, but otherwise was not in the Rider War of 2002. And, moreover, Kamen Rider Abyss was never in this war originally. That Rider was a monster who was lost between worlds and had been granted the deck while hiding his identity as an Undead from another world that was close to that one. While Abyss did appear in the revival of the Rider War, he was the first casualty of it. He was never in the original one…"
Mizuoka soon transformed into a light blue shark Rider, smirking under his helmet with a sword in his hand...
Elsewhere in town, Miho had arrived at a jewelry shop as she inspected the different necklaces and rings with delight. She then blinked a bit and recalled her reason for being there, clearing her throat before getting a clerk's attention. An employee quickly headed over to her and smiled as he walked over to her.
"How may I help you, ma'am?" he asked.
"Just need to exchange something for some money," Miho informed.
"Oh, of course. What would you like for me to appraise?" he inquired, Miho giving him the ring Mizuoka was going to give her, leaving the clerk stunned, "Where did you get this ring?"
"A guy who wanted to marry me changed his mind, so I'm just gonna get some money from it," Miho explained.
The employee simply nodded and took the ring to exchange it. He then gave her a few large stacks of yen.
Miho had a grin as she took the time to count up the money she had gotten from the exchange, then quickly tucked it into a purse, 'Almost 20 million yen. I can't believe how much that sap tried to splurge on me. What an idiot.'
She happily walked along for a moment before she heard some mirror noise for a bit. She looked around, looking confused for a bit before she discreetly pulled out her Advent Deck. She made a motion towards a mirror to get her belt on, only for an arm to suddenly reach out and grab onto her. She kicked the arm out of self-defense before another grabbed onto her and started to drag her in. But she managed to hold the deck to the reflection long enough to get her belt
"Hen… shin…" she managed to utter, quickly sliding the Advent Deck into the belt before she was fully pulled into the Mirror World.
Siren rolled out of the point she got yanked in from and panted a little before getting up to recover, seeing she was indeed in the mirror world.
"So… you're in this war too? Perfect…"
Siren looked up and took notice of a sky blue shark-themed Rider that looked ready for a fight.
"Welcome to the last day of your life, you lying little wench.
"Mizuoka? Since when were you in this?"
"It's Abyss… Kamen Rider Abyss…" he retorted, pulling out a card. Siren stood up and stood ready for battle. Abyss just scoffed as he scanned his card into his reader.
=ADVENT!=
Before Siren could move, the two shark monsters leaped in and tackled her to the ground before clawing at her. Abyss just evilly chuckled as he watched her get attacked by the two with difficulty and put her on the back foot.
=SWORD VENT!=
Siren quickly summoned her rapier, swinging it at her targets before trying to make a lunge towards Abyss.
=FANG VENT!=
The scanner that Abyss had suddenly gained various fangs like it was a live shark of some sort as he stepped forward, punching Siren with the reader and chomping down on her shoulder when he managed to swing her around and slam her into the ground.
"Ack~!" Siren shouted, rolling on the ground from the attack, "...why? Why are you fighting me? There's more than just me."
"I really don't care about the others in this war. All I care about is making you suffer!" Abyss shouted, pulling out a pair of swords, "Once you are done, I will ensure that you dead for good!"
Siren tried to hold up her rapier, but the two shark monsters managed to disarm her and grapple her in a way that kept her open for several slashes that caused her to spark and get sent sailing away..
'Out-conned… guess that's a fitting end…'
Siren let out an exhausted exhale as Abyss growled at her and quickly loaded a card into his scanner.
=FINAL VENT!=
"Time for you to sleep with the fishes," Abyss proclaimed, reeling his reader back as both sharks generated water energy around themselves as they flew up and merged into one larger shark before flying towards Siren...
=GUARD VENT!=
The two Mirror Monsters were both stopped and launched back, forced to split into their individual components. Abyss let out a frustrated gasp, as Siren quickly looked up to see Ryuki was there, holding up his shield.
"Eh?" Siren blinked.
"You ok?" Ryuki asked her, about to offer his hand before he kept the shield up with the other.
"...I'm fine… I do appreciate the help, Ryuki," Siren responded as she accepted the help up.
Abyss growled a little as he made his monsters attack again, but Ryuki effortlessly blocked them. He and Siren worked together to take on the sharks, managing to knock them back a fair bit.
"Out of my way!" Abyss yelled.
"No."
"You are not my target, so either step aside or die with that wench!"
Ryuki just held his ground, holding up his shield to further block Abyss' attacks as much as he could.
"What did she promise you? Money? Fame? Glory? A girlfriend? Marriage? News flash, baka! She's as much of a con artist as I am! She'll ultimately stab you in the back and throw you out like you're just a dirty rag!" Abyss yelled as he slashed against Ryuki's shield with his two swords.
Ryuki said nothing, simply standing tall, not even caring about what was said before shoving the cyan Rider off. Siren didn't know what to say in response as Abyss let out an angered growl as he charged forward, being blocked by Ryuki's shield. Ryuki quickly got out his card, but then also grabbed Blancwing's Advent Card from Siren's buckle. He quickly loaded them both in.
=DUO ADVENT!=
Dragreder and Blancwing both appeared alongside their respective Riders, roaring/screeching at Abyss before going on the attack against him. Abyss struggled to fight back as Ryuki and Siren took a moment to try to catch their breaths.
"You're a fool… an idiot… a moron who knows nothing better than a child... BAKA! If you stand in my way, then you are also my enemy! Heed my warning, dragon! You SHALL be slain by MY HANDS! If you don't leave this woman, you will lose everything you fought to gain!" Abyss shouted with great rage and fury.
Ryuki, again, said nothing in response to these claims. He just stood defiant to Abyss' claims before he looked to Siren
"I have faith in her…" Ryuki eventually spoke.
Siren was surprised by this choice of words, making her gently gasp. She wasn't sure what to say in that moment, but she smiled a little.
"I think we need to talk a little later, but… thanks for the trust," Siren replied.
Before Abyss could make another move, there was a shot fired. The three Riders turned around to see the green minotaur Rider had appeared, twirling his gun a bit before just standing still.
"What the…?" Abyss questioned.
The green Rider said nothing as he just kept shooting, making Ryuki and Siren make a break for it as Abyss summoned a shield to block the bullets.
"Chance…" Ryuki muttered as he saw that Abyss and the minotaur Rider were focused on each other. He quickly grabbed Siren, then made a run through an exit window.
"NO!" Abyss yelled in anger, only to get shot again, "...you… you made me lose my kill… so you're dying instead!"
Shinji and Miho got back to the apartment and took a moment to catch their breath again.
"Thanks for the save," Miho told him.
"No problem. I owe you a lot as it is…"
"How did you know I was in danger?" Miho asked.
"A little birdie told me," Shinji responded.
Shinji was walking around a little bit, trying to figure out what to do. Suddenly, instead of the mirror noise, he heard what sounded like a bird call. He looked to a nearby building that had tons of mirrors and could see Blancwing was floating around. The giant swan appeared to be in a panic, which he noticed.
"Eh?"
Blancwing called out to him, almost pointing in a direction as if conveying he needed to go somewhere
"Is… Miho in danger?" Shinji asked, earning a nod. He simply nodded back and got out his deck...
"Wow… I had no idea…"
"The Contract Monsters are loyal to the Riders as long as they are fed, so…"
Miho soon took out her Advent Deck and gently smiled, "Guess I owe her a lot. As well as you for the save. Plus… you said you have faith in me."
"Yeah. I do. Doesn't matter what Abyss said to me. You helped me out when I was in a bind, and with this Rider War crap, so… I have faith in you."
"...what if what Abyss said was true? If I really was a con-artist who saw people as nothing more than tools?" Miho asked him.
"I guess… I don't care," Shinji told her, "I don't really care about what you do. If you are a con woman, then I don't care at this point seeing how far in I am. I really have faith in you. Whether you turn on me or not, I trust you'll know I have your back."
Hearing this caused Miho to blush and then smile, making her sit and rethink some things. She then gently posed a little for Shinji, making the dragon rider blush a little, the two easily just relaxing a fair bit.
"While Kido-san did go down a path that is not nearly as optimistic as some when Miho took him under her wing, the swan did end up changed for the better in many ways because of this interaction. Things continue to change as a result, but if they're good or bad… you'll have to see."
Siren stood in the Mirror World the following day and watched as Blancwing quickly feasted upon about five or six cores of smaller grunt monsters. She smiled under her helmet as the swan soon flew nearby her
"Hey. I just wanted to say thanks," Siren spoke, making the swan turn towards her, giving an inquisitive look at first, "Y'know. For getting Ryuki to help… you really saved me."
Blancwing floated down to Siren's side and gently nuzzled her, making her giggle a little as the swan gently made some noises to her. Siren just gently patted her on the head before she came to smile a bit. Once the swan left, Siren just started to think a bit aloud.
"Still need to thank Shinji for his help…" Siren remarked, storing her rapier and thought a little about him. She soon unconsciously moved her hands along her legs as she thought, and then smiled when she realized what she was doing, "Yeah… that'll do."
Shinji got back to his apartment and sat down in the living room. He was clearly a little tired from a long day from trying to find a way to make money. He then just let out an exhale, before he just spoke, "I'm back."
"Welcome back, Shinji," Miho responded, "I'll be by you in a moment."
All Shinji did was nod a little. He set down his stuff and decided to lay on the couch, sighing a little to himself when Miho stepped out of the bedroom. If there was any way to describe Miho at the moment, it would be sensual and seductive. While her outfit was decently covering, if exposing most of her legs and feet, the way she moved around and almost danced in a manner that was clearly meant to entice Shinji. Shinji ended up being stunned silent by Miho as she approached him, the woman smiling as she ran her hands over her legs, making Shinji blush some more.
"Hi," she greeted.
"...hi…"
"Well… you saved me the other day, so… I owe you," Miho began to explain as she got closer, making sure Shinji was able to see her body, "So… I'm allowing you to do anything you want with me. You've done so much for me already, only fair that I let you have some fun.
Shinji got quiet as Miho sat next to him, clearly unsure of what to think before he spoke, "...anything?"
"Anything you want," Miho repeated as she started to unbutton part of her top, exposing part of her cleavage, Shinji's face almost going red from the amount she exposed, "Including me without any clothes at all if you so desire. Just tell me, and I'll do my best to make you happy. I have faith that you will enjoy our time together."
Shinji just kept blushing as his eyes wandered over Miho's body and how beautiful she was. He smiled as he embraced her finally, his right hand caressing one leg before he heard Miho giggle a little.
"Like my legs, huh? I made sure they were nice and smooth." Miho smiled as she adjusted her position to let Shinji get closer to them, "You're more than welcome to do what you want. I won't mind."
Shinji ended up smiling as he moved his hands along her legs in a calm and slow manner, savoring the moment. Miho smiled as he did so, both Riders blushing before they leaned in close to each other.
"You're… dazzling…" Shinji smiled, "...'Siren' is right. You really got me under your spell…"
"If you say so."
The two soon leaned in for a kiss as they just enjoyed and savored the closeness between each other. At this moment, there was nothing else around them. No Rider wars, no conflict, no monsters. Just Shinji and Miho, embracing each other in a moment of passion, joy, closeness… and of love.
Elsewhere, Ren stood at a hospital and was in a room with a woman in a coma. He could only sigh to himself as he held her hand, just sad and lonely.
'I will bring you back, Eri. I promise… no matter what, I will win this war and bring you home.'
"Love may blossom in one part of the world, and it can easily be a wonderful and happy feeling. But love is… complicated and can make you act without thinking things all the way through. With a single wrong move, even if it is out of love, then your actions will have consequences…"
Some weeks had passed. Shinji and Miho continued to grow closer to each other, started going out on dates, and even occasionally kissed out in public settings. Out of armor, they proved loving to each other and even began to get a little bolder with each other. In the mirror world, their teamwork had improved and their battle prowess increased, allowing them to beat back monsters and even pull off some occasional robberies and tricks to get money.
One morning, Miho woke up and let out a tired yawn as she walked into the living room, she was clearly a little drained from the night before as she walked in, soon seeing Shinji had started breakfast. She smiled and took a seat after getting herself some coffee and gave off another yawn.
"Ohaiyo…" she greeted.
"Ohaiyo, Miho-chan," Shinji smiled, setting the breakfast down, "You're looking radiant today."
"You're just saying that," Miho responded.
"I mean it. You are the most beautiful thing in my entire life and world."
Miho gave him a smile and soon started to enjoy breakfast, the two smiling as they conversed about various things. Shinji looked at her and she gently moved her bust, making sure he had the best view of them while keeping her top on. After they finished, Miho went into the shower first and Shinji started the dishes off.
A bit of time passed and Miho spent some time cleaning off the dishes while Shinji went into the shower. He exited as Miho was wrapping up the last of the dishes, setting them into the cabinets with a smile. Miho felt a hand pass by her leg, making her giggle a bit. She turned to Shinji with a coy smile, "Shinji…"
"Couldn't help it. It was right there ready and they look amazing," Shinji countered.
All Miho did was show off her legs a bit, moving her hand across her left leg before smacking herself. Shinji smiled at this sight, going back to kiss her and playfully pat her on the butt, making her giggle and turn to him.
"Such confidence…" Miho teased, "Going that far up?"
"You did say anything. I'm just seeing how far we can go with it."
They both laughed a little, just happy and loving each other as they kissed again.
Elsewhere, Ren met up with Keizo and they looked into a recent robbery that, once again, had nobody visibly enter or exit where the money was being stored.
"Took you long enough…" an employee told Keizo.
"I apologize!" Keizo said quickly, "There's been far too many robberies…"
"How many banks have been robbed in the past two months?" Ren ended up asking.
"...this is the eighth…" Keizo confirmed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he felt shame and disappointment in himself for letting that happen, "I've been so close to figuring this out, but everytime I think I found a lead… it's a dead end."
Ren sighed as he looked around to find any trace of any Riders that could point them to where they had gone, though he didn't find as much as a trace of any sort. He sighed, getting up and standing near Keizo.
"I can only imagine those thieves are about ready to plan out their next heist, taking their yen and spending it on all sorts of illegal activities…"
With those said thieves, they were not doing anything that Keizo had thought they were doing. In fact, all Shinji and Miho were doing at the moment was laying around and flirting a bit.
"You're really confident with your beauty…" Shinji remarked.
"Yeah. Put on the charm and show a little skin, and most men will line up for whatever you want," Miho explained as she leaned into Shinji's arm, "And so will some women."
"Really now?"
"There was this one time I was helping out this actress/salon owner and she had a massive thing for female feet…" Miho spoke, "So, I spent some time showing them off and she was like clay in my hands. She said they were beautiful and soft, and that they were some of the most wonderful she had ever seen. Once I was finished toying with her, I made it off with 8 million yen. Not kidding. She was that much of a sucker for my flirting. Never will forget that caper given how often she said I had beautiful feet."
"They are. Then again, everything about you is beautiful," Shinji told her.
Miho giggled a bit and kissed him on the cheek before holding her leg up for him to show off. Shinji looked at her bare feet, seeing that her nails were currently painted white, with hints of gold on them.
"Nice nails," Shinji observed.
"Thanks. Before I got away with the money, she said I can go to any of her salons and get my nails done for absolutely free. And it's been nearly two years since then, and I still get them done for free. I'm surprised she still lets me do that and even the employees don't question it," Miho elaborated, gently wiggling her toes, Shinji just smiling as Miho allowed him to move his hands along her leg, "Totally worth it to have done that."
Shinji just nodded, making sure Miho was treated like a goddess and making her happy.
"You're going to a salon?" Shinji asked.
"I just want to have time to myself. No offense or anything. But I promise I'll be right back in about an hour or so," Miho elaborated, quickly giving him a kiss.
"Ok. I'll trust you like I always do. Just don't get into trouble if you can avoid it," Shinji told her.
"When do I ever get into trouble?" Miho asked with an innocent tone in her voice, only for her and Shinji to laugh a little at the obvious joke.
"Of course. This is you we're talking about."
"So… before I forget, I had found a con that I want you to try your hand at. I'll give you all the info you need, and you just need to do your best to get the con off and get money. It won't be for a while, but I just wanted you to start prepping yourself," Miho informed as she handed him some papers.
Shinji inspected the papers, making sure to memorize everything as best he could. Miho smiled and headed out as Shinji took the time to study the info.
As Shinji read over some of what Miho had given him to prep for the con, he started to hear some mirror noise. He tucked away the info and quickly went searching, following the noise out of the apartment and into town. He soon spotted Abyss' reflection nearing the salon that Miho had gone to. He quickly transformed and headed into the mirror world, stopping Abyss just as he was about to exit.
"You again?" Abyss questioned.
"Same to you…" Ryuki retorted.
Abyss growled as he loaded in a card to his reader.
=ADVENT!=
The two shark monsters appeared near him, quickly trying to slash at the dragon Rider and both missing.
"You have one final chance. Get out of my way…" Abyss warned.
Ryuki just scowled as he used two cards in his reader.
=SWORD VENT!=
=SHIELD VENT!=
"You will leave her alone…" Ryuki proclaimed, brandishing the weapons, "I will do anything to keep her safe…"
Abyss just gave a disgusted groan at this, clenching his fists tightly as he charged forward and punched Ryuki, "She. Is. A. CON ARTIST! She will screw you over in the end until you are homeless and moneiless! She'll con you-"
"So are you. You were just as much trying to con her out of money and her life. You're a worse con than she is. If anything, I'd rather join her as a con artist with SOME nobility than just treat people like they're walking ATMs!"
This just made Abyss angrier as he smacked his two monsters out of the way and kicked at Ryuki, forcing the Rider to skid across the battlefield and go on the defensive as Abyss kept on the attack. Abyss soon managed to get past the shield and held Ryuki by his neck.
"You know, you're one of the worst kinds of people. A fool in love!" Abyss proclaimed, "She basically tells you to do something, and you're just SO in love with her that you'll do it without hesitation! And for what? Money or some sexual favor?! She's just going to break your heart in the end like you were yesterday's trash. For all I know, she could've brainwashed you with some card or something and it just doesn't go away! You really are pathetic and dumb if that's actually the case!"
Abyss then smacked Ryuki to the ground, angrier than ever as he started stomping near the Rider.
"If she did do something to my head… I wouldn't mind…" Ryuki admitted as he got up.
"You're even worse than I thought! You're so in love that you blindly worship her like a goddess! You ignoramus with no-" Abyss shouted
Ryuki grabbed his sword and swung it at Abyss, soon following it up with a kick to the chest. Abyss growled in anger and charged forward, kicking Ryuki, but the dragon was able to dodge.
"I don't care what you think. She is the love of my life, my partner, and the one who made me rise from one of my darkest times. If you think I'm some brainwashed servant revering her like she's a goddess, then you can think that if you want. I don't care what you think as long as she's with me. And if scum like you want to come after her… then I'll stand by her side. If the world turns against her, I'll stay with her. She needs people to look out for her and I will be her partner!"
"I will stop at nothing… until I end that woman's life!" Abyss yelled out, pulling out another card as Ryuki did the same.
"And I will stop at nothing to protect her… because I love her!" Ryuki yelled as he scanned his first.
=STRIKE VENT!=
A dragon's head appeared on one of Ryuki's hands, the dragon Rider reeling it back as far as he could, generating fire from it as Abyss couldn't get his into the scanner for some reason, like it was jammed. The fires continued to flow from the head as Dragreder flew overhead and observed this happening before they both fired a blast of fire at Abyss together. However, the heat had started to damage Abyss' deck, causing the shark emblem to shatter as the Contract Monsters seemed to turn away. Finally, the deck shattered from the temperature change, making it all go flying as the armor fizzled off Abyss's body to reveal Mizuoka… then he started to fade.
"...eh?" Ryuki blinked.
Mizuoka looked at himself, shocked and confused as he started to fizzle like his suit, making him panic and run to try to get to a mirror, only for it to just be a solid surface. He then looked to Ryuki, clearly pissed and panting as he continued to fade.
"You may have won the battle… but mark my words, you will die during this war along with that woman. And if you go before she does… she won't save you. In fact, she'll use you to protect herself. You see a goddess? She's a demon. There is no way you will ever stay with her. Onore… Ryuki… and Kirishima Miho~~~!" Mizuoka yelled.
Ryuki just stared in silence and horror as he watched Mizuoka fade away completely, the dragon Rider looking stunned as Dragreder floated nearby. The young man took some steps back and then made a hurried run away from the area, trying to reach for an exit out of fear. The two shark monsters just looked on in shock about what happened, only for a dragon's roar to be near them...
"Much like Kanzaki, this Kido-san's actions were born from wanting to help someone he cared about… but it led to tragedy…" Ao Woz spoke, "From his actions, Kamen Rider Abyss met his end that day…"
Miho happily walked back into the apartment, only to see all of the lights were off. She walked in and soon spotted the door to the room was open, with Shinji just sitting there.
"Eh? Shinji? Are you ok?" Miho asked.
He was just staring into nowhere from the looks of it, almost like he was lost in thought. Miho eventually knocked to get his attention.
"I… killed him…" Shinji told her.
"Eh?"
"Mizuoka… he… tried to go after you… I fought him… and I accidentally killed him…" Shinji elaborated as tears dripped down from his eyes, devastated by his actions, and while Miho seemed upset about this, yet she almost seemed more scared about Shinji.
"Sh-Shinji-kun?"
"I KILLED HIM! I was just trying to protect you, and I killed a man! Don't you see?! I have someone's blood on my hands…" Shinji spoke, "I was hoping that we wouldn't do that… but I did…"
Shinji looked at his hands as they shook and he clearly looked scared. While no visible blood was on either hand, he was clearly not able to calm down.
"I'm… a monster…" Shinji spoke, grabbing his legs and pulling them to his chest as tears flowed down.
"...Shinji…"
He didn't react to her, the con-artist turned Rider starting to get more worried.
"Shinji."
Once again, he didn't react as Mizuoka's screams echoed in his mind and were haunting him like a ghost. He was clearly not going to move for the next day and didn't seem like he would move at all...
"Shinji. Please. Look at me," Miho spoke, sitting down next to him and turning his head so they could see each-other, his eyes clearly bloodshot and some tears still there, "Look at me. I promise you that it'll be ok."
"How…?"
"I don't know yet. But… we'll face it as a team. No matter what life or this crazy war throws our way, there is no way we are going to go it alone. We're a team."
Shinji looked at her for a bit, then exhaled, "...But what if it comes down to me vs. some rich guy who would give you what you want? You'd probably want to leave me alo-"
"No. I won't."
"B-"
"We're partners. And partners don't leave each-other. No matter what happens, no matter what anyone throws at us, we will never part ways."
Shinji was silent as he wasn't sure what to say before he got closer to Miho. Eventually, the two had a short, but sweet, kiss with each-other. This was a genuine moment for the two and they just looked at each-other for a bit.
"But… Mizuoka can't threaten me anymore. So… if anyone does come, we both will take them on and not need to worry about the guy after me."
"...he kept mocking you… and even said you could've brainwashed me with how loyal I am to you…" Shinji spoke, "I don't even know if something like that would be possible…"
"Who knows…"
"And… I'm happy to know you… my beautiful goddess…" Shinji spoke, starting to feel a bit better.
Miho was a little surprised, blushing a little, but she giggled a little with Shinji as a thought occurred to her, "If anything, I do find a kind strong dragon to be a worthy protector for a goddess. Maybe it would hang out by my leg? Caress my rear, or even tend to all of my body."
The two laughed a little bit, embracing each other after a bit. Shinji couldn't help but smile at Miho, who kissed him and just stayed close by.
"Thanks… I needed a laugh…" Shinji told her.
Miho just smiled as she finally felt a moment of relief from the tension.
"Is there anything I can do to help you?" Miho asked Shinji.
"...don't leave me…" Shinji requested, "...please. Don't leave me…"
"I'll stay with you all night. No cons, no trips, nothing. Just me and you."
Shinji smiled at her and they hugged a bit, both feeling much more at ease.
The next morning arrived and the two both slowly woke up and saw they were side by side. They smiled, taking a moment to kiss and just be close together.
"You feeling any better?" Miho asked.
"...a bit. You being here helps…" Shinji told her, holding one of her hands, trying to take in every single moment with her.
"Glad I'm helping…" Miho smiled as she got closer.
They took the moment to look each other in the eyes, not letting go until Shinji did so.
"Want me to do something for you?" Miho offered.
"...show off some of your body?" Shinji asked.
Miho smiled, removing the covers enough to let him see her cleavage and a bit of her legs, "Like?"
"Yea," Shinji nodded as he watched her.
"Want anything else? I'll oblige"
Shinji smiled as his hands wandered to her thighs, gently moving nearby them. Miho giggled at the touch before she moved a leg out from under the covers so Shinji could see it. Her leg got quickly caressed and cuddled by Shinji
"Yeah, you're in a better mood now…"
"Can't help it when I see this…"
"That's good to see now."
Elsewhere, within the mirror world, the minotaur Rider simply unleashed a finisher against two Riders. Both exploded and were left as nothing, with only a gazelle themed and a tiger themed Advent Deck left behind.
"...two down. Just wait a bit longer, sir, and I'll be able to bring you back…" the minotaur Rider proclaimed…
"Thus, Kamen Riders Imperer and Tiger both fall. There… wasn't anything to say about them in this world. Many of the Riders were easily wiped out. Though as Knight and Verde focused on the thefts and Ryuki and Siren were making love, there were a few others with other intentions, including one who was a killer, no matter the reality. But… to get to him, we must talk of a certain Rider who had karma coming his way…"
A month had passed before Shinji had recovered enough to finally be ready for the con Miho had assigned him.
'Just go to this party, talk to the host, and try to get him to give me money. Easy enough…' Shinji thought as he walked to the building and was greeted by the host.
"Ah, Shiki Ryuga! Great to meet you!" the host smiled.
"Just Ryuga is fine," Shinji told him.
"I'm sure you've heard of me, but just for the record, Shibuara Jun! Probably one of the greatest exclusive club owners in this area in Japan!" the man, Jun, proclaimed with a smile, Shinji just nodding as Jun decided to bring him up, "But forgive me. I'm delaying you. Come on up, handsome."
"Right…" Shinji nodded, 'Just play it cool. Like Miho said, this guy's gay and he'll be more than willing to flirt. Just play it cool and roll with it as best you can…'
"You must be the type of guy who is willing to flirt and mingle. Well, we got a lot of singles," Jun grinned as they arrived at the party floor.
As Shinji looked around, he grew a bit worried and nervous. The club was filled with men that were flirting with each-other and while on the surface Shinji kept it cool, inside he was feeling disgusted.
"And before we hear anything… keep in mind, this is 2002. If anyone is offended, I apologize for this person's actions. But Jun was clearly not in the right during this time, and he would easily be viewed as a disgusting individual who gets karma. Once again, I apologize if this part of the story is offensive to anyone. But even if this individual is offensive, what he did was ultimately not right, so what is coming to him... is deserved."
Shinji just tried to remain calm as more people flirted with him, but he was clearly getting a little worried about things. He just tried to get his mind to think about Miho, but he kept getting dragged out of his thoughts by Jun or someone else. He tried to keep his cool otherwise, when suddenly Jun got up to the front of the party.
"Okay, everyone! I want everyone to lose some clothes and feel free to show off!"
If Shinji didn't feel uncomfortable before, seeing strangers start to get undressed certainly made it worse. He was about to go along with it as he began to hesitantly take off his top… only to see some people weren't just stopped at certain levels
'...not worth it. I don't care what Miho says, for once, this isn't worth it!' Shinji thought, putting his top back on and starting to look for the exit. However, Jun quickly noticed him...
"You can't go… nobody goes until I say they can…" Jun threatened, slamming his fist into a wall.
'...yandere. Okay, I'm out!'
"GET BACK HERE OR YOU'RE DEAD!" Jun yelled at Shinji.
Shinji just started running as fast as he could, with Jun chasing after him in an angered rage with a knife in hand. The non-transformed Rider was clearly not in the mood to mess with the guy and just looked for a way out. Shinji smiled as he finally saw a mirror and quickly fled into it without an ounce of hesitation. He quickly transformed into Ryuki as he made the jump, and landed somewhere in the mirror world.
"Oh… I'm safe…" Ryuki exhaled, "Okay… I'm just going to go…"
Ryuki quickly made it out of the building in the mirror world, taking a moment to breathe before starting to run for safety…
"So, how'd it go?" Miho asked as Shinji walked into the apartment.
"Yea… it went south way too quick. Also... you didn't warn me… the target is a yandere…" Shinji stated.
"...a what?" Miho questioned.
"One of those people who expresses their love with violent tendencies and will kill someone if they do so much as even make them think they aren't interested..." Shinji explained.
Miho then exhaled a little bit, "...okay. Um… I'm sorry. I really should've given you something easier and not that hard. Not to mention, it was my fault for not knowing about that."
"I forgive you… but can I please go take a shower? I honestly feel gross and need to clean off…" Shinji requested.
"Sure thing. Sorry this was a bit of a mess," Miho apologized quickly.
"Don't worry about it now. I just want to be clean…"
Jun was in his office and smacking things off of desks in a fit of rage, clearly angered beyond belief. The cloaked figure that had appeared before Mizuoka just watched this and looked rather worried about his own safety. He then just made a small note and left it with a deck that had a rhino and just left.
"Eh?" Jun blinked upon seeing the deck and the note which simply read 'Person you lost will be able to be found with this. Be in front of mirror.'
He shrugged, looking to the mirror with the deck and soon gained a belt, leaving Jun confused, but he felt power from the deck and he smirked as he tightened his body.
"I will kill that guy… who betrayed my heart…" Jun proclaimed.
Some days passed since then. Ryuki watched as a mirror monster blew up and was absorbed by his dragon, letting out a happy cheer. He smiled under his helmet as Dragreder hovered over and soon heard something.
"I know that voice… it's you."
"...huh?" Ryuki blinked, soon seeing a rhino-themed Rider with bulky armor and a fairly bulky shoulder.
"It's you… Ryuga…" the Rider proclaimed.
"Oh… oh no…" Ryuki muttered.
"Come here… you need to be punished for leaving me…"
Ryuki then just started running in a panic, with the rhino chasing after him.
Knight and Verde both heard screaming, looking confused before seeing a red blur run past and heard booming steps.
"Get away from me already!" Ryuki yelled.
"You will never get away from me!" the other Rider yelled.
Ryuki ran past the two other Riders and they both saw the rhino Rider on his monster.
"Oh no…" Knight exhaled.
"Do we have to fight?" Verde inquired.
"If we don't… doubt we'll survive…" Knight responded.
"OUT OF MY WAY~~~!"
"The yandere is a Rider now?!" Miho yelled, "What next? A serial killer becomes a Kamen Rider?!"
"Please don't jinx it," Shinji exhaled as he plopped into their bed, "This… this is just bad…"
Miho looked at her exhausted partner and then sighed, "...I got you into this mess. I'll find a way to get you out of it. I promise."
"Please do… this turned into one heck of a disaster. I still can't believe this is happening..." Shinji shuddered as he laid out in bed and was partially under the covers.
She watched as Shinji just tried to relax a bit and got close to him and gently spoke, "I promise you… I'll make sure that guy won't hurt you. You protect me, I'll protect you."
"Thank you…" Shinji smiled.
Thus, Miho started to walk off to prepare for the confrontation, grabbing her deck and taking a moment to calm her nerves.
"If you want something to think about while I'm away…" Miho started, then walked in front of Shinji's line of sight to show off some bare skin, "You get to experience my lovely form. All night long. Is that enough to get your mind off of the problems I put you in?"
"Yeah… that's good…" Shinji smiled, nodding to his partner as he just soaked up the sneak peek he got.
Miho gave off a soft giggle before she walked out of the room, adjusting her skirt and top. She then looked to Shinji's deck and took out his Contract Card, then went over to a reflective surface to see Dragreder looking back, "I know that I'm not one to be in the place to ask you favors since… well… I almost killed you and stuff… but I need your strength for a little bit. For Shinji's sake, if nothing else."
Dragreder just stared back at her for a little bit, then gave a small nod. Miho smiled as Dragreder flew off and she took his card with her.
Elsewhere, within a high-security prison, someone sat in solitary confinement, hair covering his face as he simply smacked against the wall in anger. Soon, he looked over to the somewhat broken mirror that was in the cell, witnessing the same golden aura figure that had presented himself before some of the others.
"You wish to find yourself amusement? Prey to hunt?" the cloaked figure questioned
The prisoner simply nodded with a slight grin as the figure handed him a deck with the image of a snake on it.
The sirens to alert an escaped convict started blaring and flashing throughout the evening sky, a lone figure walking through the prison, with a staff in hand...
"That noise… it vexes me…"
Miho simply stood alone in the evening and nearby a reflective area that would let her get to the mirror world in a hurry. Her belt was currently being obscured by a large jacket around her body as she looked out and listened for anything.
"Ryuga-kun! I'm glad you reconsidered!" Jun shouted out in a joyful tone, soon hearing a ringing sound as he looked around at the park that was empty apart from one person, "...eh? Ryuga-kun?"
"Sorry. My boyfriend isn't interested…" Miho spoke, quickly pocketing Shinji's cellphone.
"Boyfriend…?" Jun questioned in confusion, unaware of what was going on before he heard the Mirror World ringing and blinked a bit.
"Yeah. He's nowhere near worth your time and doesn't even swing your way. And that's not even his name… not that I'll tell you what his name really is…" Miho countered.
"So you're the one… who stole his heart…" Jun growled as he looked at Miho, gripping his fists, "You disgusting woman…"
"Yeah, I am," Miho nodded as she held out her deck, "And you are by far one of the most idiotic people I've seen in this war so far. Not even because of that sexuality. Frankly, I'm both ways, so I don't care. But the fact you're a yandere and want to kill my boyfriend for not wanting to be with you… that is petty, pathetic, and downright sociopathic."
"Women are disgusting creatures…" Jun proclaimed, "And when you die, I'll make my beloved see-"
"Blah, blah, blah," Miho responded, rolling her eyes a bit, "You're a rhino, right? With how much noise you make, you're more like a squealing pig."
Jun just growled, pulling out his deck and clutching it.
"Let's settle this…" Jun growled as he held his deck up against a nearby water fountain, causing his belt to form, "Henshin…"
"Henshin!"
Thus, both transformed and headed into the Mirror World. The bulky rhino turning towards the swan Rider, both ready to throw down as the swan Rider dodged the rhino one.
"Kamen Rider… Gai…" Jun announced, "My might shall crush you with-"
"You talk too much…" Siren retorted.
Gai then just growled and rushed forward like a crazed beast, with Siren gracefully dodging out of his way. He turned around and tried to tackle her again, but her rapier effortlessly managed to parry the attack. She pulled off a sweep-kick that knocked Gai to his feet before the rhino grunted, getting up and pulling out a card.
=CONFINE VENT!=
Siren was about to make a move… only for her rapier to disappear from her hands.
"No more swords for you. It's just an old-fashioned fist-fight or can the lady not fight without her dainty little weapons?" Gai questioned/taunted.
Siren just gave an annoyed huff as she quickly moved out of the way of the next attack from Gai, backed into a corner. She then quickly got out another card and held onto it as she evaded another attack.
"Koi!" Siren called out as she loaded in the Advent Card.
=ADVENT!=
However, instead of Blancwing, came Dragreder to tackle the rhino from the side and protect Siren. The dragon gave off a growl towards Gai, launching fireballs at him and keeping him away from her.
"This is his power that he leant to me…" Siren said as the dragon went on the attack, "He put his faith in me… so I put my faith in him. I promised him that I would stop you, and I will for his sake because… because... I… love him…"
These words echoed in Siren's mind for a moment as she thought over what she had said, making sure she didn't doubt herself, but she was genuinely surprised by her last three words.
'After all these years… I'm truly in love…' Siren thought, somewhat in disbelief, soon giggling mentally, 'He's too good for me, but I guess he rubbed off in all the right ways. It… feels good to be in love…'
"He's too good for you! You don't understand what it takes to love someone the way I do!" Gai roared, trying to get out of the way from the dragon's attack.
"Urusai, baka~," Siren countered.
This just made Gai even angrier as he quickly loaded in and activated another card.
=ADVENT!=
Thus, out charged a humanoid silver rhino with a giant horn that rushed in at both Siren and Dragreder. However, before the rhino could actually land an attack...
=ADVENT!=
Blancwing came soaring down to attack the charging rhino monster, quickly being joined by Dragreder in the assault. Both monsters kept on the attack and, while their shouts weren't something Siren could understand perfectly, she did hear them saying that their attacks were for Shinji. Siren smiled under her helmet before glaring at the confused Gai as he watched his monster be attacked.
"Two monsters?! How?!" Gai yelled.
"Sometimes… love can cross boundaries…" Siren ended up saying, 'It… feels nice to say 'love' and actually mean it…'
"What do you know about love?!" Gai shouted in anger.
Siren said nothing as her rapier reappeared in her hand, twirling it around and managing to rush in at the silver rider and slashing away at him without letting up an inch.
"I know way more than you seem to get…" Siren stated simply, before she quickly loaded in another card to end the battle.
=FINAL VENT!=
The two monsters quickly flew towards Siren, charging up her rapier with both ice and fire energy. She took a deep breath before exhaling, darting her way towards Gai as the Contract Monsters launched their respective attacks to boost her power, Siren thrusting her rapier forward and causing part of Gai's armor to explode, with the blast quickly sending him back. She then noticed something.
"Game, set, match. Adieu…" Siren stated.
Siren watched the injured Gai try to stand, but simply walked out through an exit to avoid any further fighting. As Gai managed to stand, though, he heard what sounded like some sort of cracking, then looked to his deck to see that Siren's finisher had caused it to start breaking.
"Kuso… curse that woman. I'll get my revenge on her yet…" Gai growled as he managed to stand, not noticing his armor starting to crack away, "I will kill her… and then get what is rightfully mine. Ryuga shall be mine and mine alone. I will love that man like nobody else!"
Jun was about to step away, still unaware of his Rider form now being totally gone, but a slithering sound got closer to him, making him confused as suddenly he was lifted up into the air.
"...this vexes me…"
Jun couldn't quite make out the details of the Rider before him, but he was able to see it was purple, and followed by a large cobra-like Snake monster that was the source of the sound he was hearing. The rhino monster just stared in disbelief as Jun looked towards his captor.
"Wait! Please! Have mercy!" Jun shouted out as the snake grabbed him via its tail, lifted up into the air and was stared at by the monster.
"'Mercy'? That's a word that doesn't exist to me…" the Rider chuckled, "Get rid of him. He's giving me a headache."
The snake hissed at the panicked Jun before it effortlessly swallowed the fading man whole without an ounce of hesitation. The last bit of screaming from Jun was drowned out by the Rider simply chuckling.
"Thus, Kamen Rider Gai falls not even two days into his career as a Rider in this world. Despicable in his own way, he meets his end without knowing what love really is. Thus, apart from the game master Rider… only seven Riders remain in this world's Rider War. Ryuki, Siren, Knight, Verde, Zolda, Raia… and Ouja."
The purple Rider just chuckled evilly as he was about to walk away, but then noticed the oncharging rhino monster that was left behind by the now-dead Rider. He simply picked up a black contract card left by the now-dead Gai and held it up towards the rhino…
"As I have said… Ouja is a constant that is unchanging throughout the many worlds. There is a strange case where he may have been a hero, but most of the time, he is at best chaotic neutral, or a straight-up killer, as shown here. At the very least, this isn't his most evil… as there was one version where he took out people's innards. ...that's a mental image I've tried to forget, believe me… so… let's get back to Kido-san and Miho, shall we? For the best..."
The evening continued on as Miho returned to the real world and put the dragon's card back into Shinji's deck. She could tell that Shinji was still around, but she didn't know what to say as she thought over the recent internal revelation.
'I love him… and I put him into that situation. I almost regret doing that… he deserves so much better than a thief and a con artist for a girlfriend… but… I can't stop my feelings…' Miho thought as she put her hand over her heart, clutching it a little before she ultimately realized something she could do…
"Shinji?" Miho spoke up.
Shinji looked at Miho, who was simply clad in a robe of sorts, confusing him a bit, but smiling as he knew she had something to say to him.
"I wanted to apologize to you for putting you into that situation, Shinji. ...and… I offer you my all…" Miho told Shinji as she started to pull off the robe a little to show she had nothing on under it, leaving him to blush in surprise as Miho got closer, "And… I came to realize something."
"What's that…?"
"I love you. I… truly and honestly love you. Being honest, I had other plans when we first met and didn't see you as much, but that's in the past. Right now, you're my partner, my best friend for life… and if you're willing to accept me… I'd like you to be my boyfriend."
Shinji just stared at Miho for a moment, simply taking in this offer, thinking a little bit before finally smiling with confidence, nodding, "I love you too. I would be honored to be your boyfriend… and lover."
Miho smiled as she got next to Shinji, starting to expose some of her pure self, the two smiling as they got undressed.
Once nothing remained on them, the passionately kissed and caressed each other. Their hands wandered all over each-other, touching regions neither dreamt they would get to, and just enjoying the warmth they felt from each-other.
"I love you, Miho…"
"I love you too, Shinji…"
The two smiled and kept up the passion and joy. Miho happily moaned a bit as Shinji kept his hands by her legs, Miho in turn keeping her hands around him. He soon started to plant kisses on her legs, much to Miho's joy and excitement. The two cemented this new romance by all sorts of actions and passion between each-other.
"Thus, a new couple has been formed in this timeline. Sure, there was a version where they did date, but they never made it this far because of the Rider War. This is uncharted territory for these two if they exist in the war together. But, right now, there's no war on their minds. No conflict, no Riders, not even the faintest whisper of monsters. Just each-other in a moment of passion and joy."
Elsewhere in town, the minotaur Rider, Zolda, stepped out of the mirror world and reverted back to normal. He was actually a young man with messy brown hair, wearing a black butler outfit. He then walked towards a graveyard and found a tombstone that had the name "Kitaoka Shuichi" written on it.
"Just wait a while longer, sir. Once I win this war… I shall bring you back…" the man promised, placing some flowers down by the grave.
"While Yura Goro was Zolda for a time in various iterations of the Rider War, he was never the primary user. He always came after his master, Kitaoka Shuichi. However, in this world, Kitaoka-san had lost his life before the Rider War. And in his devotion to his master, Goro took up the mantle to bring him back…"
With that, Goro simply walked away without another word. He simply sighed, adjusting the collar of his shirt before he held onto the Zolda Deck without any other thoughts. Nearby, a young man that had his hands in bandages looked over another grave, with this grave reading "Tezuka Miyuki" on it. This person just teared up a little bit before he exhaled a bit.
"I'm keeping people safe… just like you would've wanted…" the young man said.
"Tezuka Miyuki became Kamen Rider Raia after his best friend had refused the call. However, in this world, their positions were reversed. Tezuka-san was the first chosen, refused to act, and his friend Saito Yuichi is the Kamen Rider in his stead. ...although, funny story, there was another world where Yuichi became a Rider contracted to a different beast… and his name was Kamen Rider Blade. ...yes, seriously. Thankfully, he's never existed on a world with the Kamen Rider Blade that most people are aware of."
The now identified Yuichi wiped his eyes of tears before he walked off, trying his best to keep his hands from bleeding.
Shinji and Miho both awoke the next day and smiled at each-other, both much closer than before and even having their hands on each-other.
"That… was amazing…" Shinji smiled.
"Yeah…" Miho nodded, "It felt… perfect. Like we're meant to be."
The two smiled in response to that as Miho leaned into Shinji's chest and cuddled up to it like a cat, gently moving her hands along it.
"You have a magic touch…" Shinji smiled
"What can I say? It's nice…" Miho smiled back, continuing to cuddle him a bit.
"You're so sweet. I'm happy that we're a couple now…"
The two smiled a bit and then kissed each-other a bit, before parting for just a moment.
"We should get ready for our next big step, though," Shinji advised.
Miho nodded a bit, but then gently tapped his shoulder.
"I know we have things to do and all, but…" Miho spoke before she gently showed off her right leg, "...can I at least ask for one more kiss to my leg? Just a quick little kiss is all."
Shinji smiled with a shrug before doing so. Miho smiled at the feeling, then just smiled at him.
"Love you."
"Love you too."
Some weeks had passed and the happy couple had gone back to fighting monsters as need be, and pulling off some cons and robberies. They had easily managed to keep in the lead as both police and rich people fell for their tricks and just as easily lost them when they got away.
Miho happily slipped on a toe ring that she had bought with some stolen money and admired it with a smile. She gently wiggled her toes a bit as Shinji looked and observed her a bit.
"What do you think of the look?" Miho asked with a grin.
"Nice ring and nails," Shinji complimented.
"Thank you, I made sure to get a nice ring," Miho smiled, wiggling her toes again.
"Cool," Shinji nodded, "How has your latest con been going?"
"Hook and line are set, just gotta get the cash," Miho told him with a smile.
"That's cool. This whole thing has been invigorating to say the least and I'm glad we get to have fun," Shinji told her with a smile.
"Honestly, though, flirting with other people has gotten to be a bit of a drag," Miho admitted, "Just because… they're not you."
"Huh?"
"Everytime I flirt with someone… my mind goes back to you. I can't help but want to see you as the person I'm flirting with since you're my boyfriend," Miho explained, "But… if it's for a con, I can keep things up enough. I do miss you, though."
"Miho… that's sweet, but I can't help but feel you're going a little soft," Shinji told her.
"I know. Still, I have my new con I'm working on, and it's going very smoothly. Should be able to get the cash soon," Miho responded with a sly grin.
"There you go. Swindle him as much as you can. I'm sure you're going to make us even richer."
This made her smile a bit as she kept showing off her barefeet for a bit, Shinji smiling back as he noticed this.
"You enjoying showing those off?" Shinji eventually asked.
"I can't help it. I just like showing off for you…" Miho admitted with a smile, winking at her boyfriend and waving her feet a bit.
He ended up giving her a smile before going over and massaging her feet a bit, making Miho giggle as he did so.
"Yeah… that's good…" Miho beamed, "Who knew that actress was onto something with this foot thing…"
"They are pretty like you…" Shinji told her, kissing her toe and smiling as he kept at the massage.
"Love you…" Miho said as she relaxed.
"I love you, too," Shinji told her with a wink.
Elsewhere, Keizo exhaled as he took a bottle of water that had been offered by Ren and massaged his temple, going over dozens of notes to cover various things.
"It's gotta be Ryuki and Siren. We know fairly well they've been around as long as you and I, and both have been working as a team," Ren stated bluntly.
"I need evidence…" Keizo exhaled, "And I tried to mention the mirror world, and they had me go through a drug and alcohol test. You seriously think I can bring in people when no one will believe us? I need some, any, evidence it's them…"
Ren just rolled his eyes in response to this, very close to just slamming his fists onto the table when Keizo cleared his throat to get his attention.
"What?"
"Ren… is this Yui girl important? You've never really told me much about her…" Keizo questioned.
"It's not your place…" Ren countered.
"...really? Cause, with those Alternative guys having gone after her, she's probably important for something…" Keizo remarked, "And when I tried to look her up, I couldn't find much of anything. I need some info here."
Ren just gritted his teeth before he started to reach for his deck to go on the offensive, but Yui quickly walked over to them and slammed the table to make them stop, getting the attention of the two individuals.
"Ren, cool it!" Yui nearly yelled, Ren simply scoffing and turning away as she looked to the officer, "...what is it you want to know?"
"Just… who are you, I guess. Those Alternative guys were hounding you like dogs a week ago, so, I figured you must be important for… something."
"I'm the younger sister of Shiro… the person who's making this fight happen…" Yui hesitantly explained, leaving Keizo surprised as Ren just sat there without looking at them, "And… they thought if I died, then it would end. ...but it won't. My brother would just reset the world again and again until he wins."
"But… what does he want?" Keizo asked.
"I don't know…"
The three just sighed as they began to theorize what would happen next. Yui just exhaled and began to tear up a little bit, while Keizo handed her a tissue.
"It's ok. I don't know what good we'll be, but I promise we will keep you safe and happy. We will do our utmost. And that is something I will keep as long as I live..." Keizo promised with a smile, Yui giving a smile back in return.
"Thank you…" Yui smiled gently.
"It's safe to say that this man has taken what should've been Kido-san's place. An individual who is noble enough to help everyone and properly end the Rider War. However, destiny may not be in his favor, much like how it's never in Kido-san's…"
It was another calm day for Miho as she tapped her pockets that had stolen yen from her latest con as she smiled and went along her way. She walked along without a care in the world, thinking about Shinji and his face when he saw her next, but she suddenly heard footsteps behind her, turning to see someone in a gator-skin jacket with wild and messy hair. She quickly ducked into the alley nearby as the man walked by without noticing her.
"No… it can't be…"
He simply walked by as Miho clenched her fists, yet one of them started to shake a bit out of fear. Miho watched as the wild-haired man walked around. She took some steps back in a bizarre mixture of anger and fear, not sure how to feel before a sound echoed. Police sirens soon filled the area, which caused Miho to quickly transform into Siren and head into the Mirror World to avoid being seen. She watched as the wild-haired man was surrounded.
-Freeze, Asakura Takeshi! You are under arrest! Come quietly, or we will use force!-
Siren stumbled back upon hearing that name, realizing exactly what this meant. She ended up starting to walk away out of fear and concern.
Miho soon shut the door behind her and sat in the apartment, with Shinji looking at her cold and worried expression.
"...Miho? Are you alright?" Shinji questioned, "Did… did something happen?"
"...I know you've long moved on… but do you have anyone at your old job you can call? I need some info…" Miho requested, clearly in a panic that Shinji hasn't seen her in ever before, "Please. I need to make sure I heard something right."
"Okay," Shinji nodded.
"Yeah… they said some serial killer got out. Asakura Takeshi they said…" Shinji informed as he hung up the phone.
Hearing this made Miho start to get angry, clearly pissed off that he was out, "They let him walk. After all the h**l that he caused to SO many people... they let that ba***rd walk! WHY?!"
Shinji just watched as Miho was fuming and simply backed up to let her try to cool off without damaging anything. She just paced around and stomped while occasionally kicking at nothing, before the anger started to give way to sadness. She finally fell to her knees and cried in sadness.
"Miho? What happened?"
"Rina-onee-chan…" Miho spoke, trying her best not to cry, "...was killed by him."
"...killed?"
"I was the one who managed to get that man arrested and tried… because my onee-chan died…" Miho responded, starting to cry, "I lost everything after I lost her. After that, I couldn't do anything. I had to turn to cons and crime because that man stole everything I ever had after he killed her…"
The tears just kept flowing from Miho's eyes no matter her attempts to make them stop, including covering her face with her hands to make them end, but the tears just wouldn't stop. Shinji then tenderly hugged her, letting Miho cry into his shoulder, the girl just lost in her emotions as the tears flowed for a bit longer. Once she finally stopped, she looked at Shinji and just exhaled.
"I'm sorry you had to see me like that… seeing that man… just made the emotions flood back…" Miho apologized, trying to make herself stop crying.
"It's okay. I'm here to help you now. And from here on out, we'll do what we can to make sure he goes back to jail," Shinji assured her, looking into her eyes with a genuine affection that made her feel happy.
Miho soon gently kissed Shinji, feeling much more at ease and just happy with him by her side.
"What did I do to deserve someone like you?" Miho ended up asking.
"Let's not dwell on that and take this moment for each other…" Shinji told her, simply continuing to hug her.
A day or so had passed before the police had managed to track where Asakura had disappeared to, with Keizo on the case as well. He had held a restaurant captive, but then when it was reported there were no alive bodies in, the police moved in… and saw, to their horror, that Asakura had killed the hundreds of people in the building, their bodies laid out on a floor as if to spell something out. An aerial sweep of the area simply revealed the bodies were set out to read "vex"...
The attack soon made the news, leaving many onlookers in shock and horror as the depravity of this man was on display.
"...oh… that is just…" Shinji spoke, at a loss for words
"We need to stop him…" Miho declared, clutching her deck, "I don't care if he's not in this war. If we can finish him, then make sure he won't hurt anyone again…"
Asakura chuckled as he walked around, only to hear some sort of noise. He started to scowl as he looked around and tried to locate the source. He then noticed Siren and Ryuki standing nearby in the Mirror World, monitoring the serial killer as if looking for a moment to strike. He then chuckled and walked towards the window he could see them by and took out a deck...
"Eh?" Ryuki blinked.
"Henshin…" Asakura proclaimed as he inserted the deck into his buckle, which they could see was clearly purple with a gold cobra emblem on it, before he gained a clear purple snake-themed armor, the newly revealed snake Rider hissing.
"...no…" Siren muttered as the Rider entered the path into the Mirror World, "...you killer… you actually are a Rider?"
"Indeed I am…" he grinned, stepping into the Mirror World with them, "And you… are targets…"
Siren growled as she readied herself, then went on the attack.
"You shall rue the day you attacked Kamen Rider Ouja…" he declared as he swung his staff at her, making Siren dodge before she and Ryuki quickly inserted cards.
=SWORD VENT!=
They both brought out their respective blades to clash with Ouja as he managed to block their attacks. They both kept pushing forward as they attacked, the snake Rider cooly blocking the strikes and soon managing to strike Ryuki back a bit.
"You won't take anyone away from me! NEVER AGAIN!" Siren yelled as she slashed Ouja away from Ryuki, struggling to get strikes in on his armor.
"So, swanie… who did I take from you?" Ouja ended up asking.
"My sister…" Siren growled, "You don't remember?!"
"Swanie… for you, that day when I killed your sister could easily be the most important day of your life. But for me? It was just a Tuesday, or maybe a Wednesday."
Siren yelled in anger as she charged forward, slashing through his defenses as wildly and angrily as she could. However…
=ADVENT!=
Out of the blue, a purple and gold cobra Mirror Monster appeared, wrapping its tail around Siren and soon smacking her around like she was a rag doll.
"Get away from her!" Ryuki yelled, charging forward… only to get smacked by the rhino monster as well, "What?! TWO Contract Monsters?! How?!"
"I have my ways…" Ouja grinned.
Ryuki tried to endure the hits from the two monsters, but he got knocked back as well. The dragon and swan Riders struggled to their feet, easily having trouble with the snake Rider who just laughed.
"Stay away from them!"
Ouja turned to see Verde had appeared, swinging his Bio-Winder at the snake to distract it.
"I am an officer of the law… and I will make sure you go back where you belong, criminal scum!" Verde shouted, standing between Ouja and the downed Riders.
Ouja just chuckled a bit in response as he approached Verde, twirling his staff and charging forward. Verde managed to stand his ground as Ouja attacked him, the two Riders going all out as Verde used his Bio-Winder to knock Ouja back a fair bit.
"You two shall be allowed to flee on this day! I have a bigger problem to deal with!" Verde told Ryuki and Siren, the dragon and swan looking surprised by this, but agreeing to get away while they still could.
"This is such a pain…" Siren muttered.
"Don't worry. We will stop him… but we can't do it while we're weakened… we need to be able to be at our best…" Ryuki told her, "For now, consider this a tactical retreat so we can make our next move."
Siren hesitantly exhaled, but could feel her arm was in a massive amount of pain, Ryuki deciding to pick her up bridal style and run out for the nearest exit.
Weeks had passed, but the Rider number hadn't changed as nobody had died in any recent encounters in spite of Asakura's and Goro's differing efforts. At most, Raia had attempted to fight Ouja on his own, but managed to walk away in spite of that mess of a battle. It had become relatively peaceful, but all of the Riders remained on alert as the winter season settled in. Despite that, many seemed to have settled down, willing to bask in the snow that had started to fall.
"Have you ever had a white Christmas before?" Shinji asked Miho.
"Without forcing myself on the run, I don't think so. This might be my first," Miho smiled.
"Well, hopefully it'll be a peaceful one. ...and I will stop talking now before I jinx it…" Shinji spoke, making sure to close his mouth and just walk.
Miho gave a nod and soon had an idea for a topic change.
"Hey, Shinji," Miho spoke up, soon walking in front of him and showing off her legs that were in black leggings at the moment, "Which do you prefer? With or without them?"
Shinji smiled and took a moment to think a little, "Both are great, but… I think without them is better. Just so I can be closer to their beauty."
Miho gently giggled at him, taking a moment to move her leg against one of his before they continued walking through the town.
"This really is pretty this time of year, though," Miho admitted as she took the area in, "I hope we can keep having beautiful days like this in the future."
"You and me both," Shinji smiled as the two held each other close for some warmth.
Christmas Eve had begun to approach as Shinji was walking around and looking for something for Miho that would be interesting and unique.
'I just hope… even if a little… I can get her mind off of this…' Shinji thought before he arrived by a jewelry store that they hadn't robbed and he ended up looking around a little bit...
The evening of Christmas Eve had arrived and the couple were in Shinji's apartment together. Miho ended up dressing in an outfit that was red and white, but the skirt stopped just above her knees and she had her legs and feet totally exposed, and Shinji soon saw her nails were painted red, green, and yellow.
"Well, isn't that festive?" Shinji noted, making his girlfriend giggle a bit.
"Thank you. I wanted to dress in a fun way, and this combined with the nails just felt in the spirit of the season. Merry Christmas, Shinji," Miho told him, going over to kiss him before handing him a present, "I spared no expense on this. Only the best for you, my love."
Shinji opened his gift up to reveal a brand new camera, which impressed him, especially seeing it had a custom design on the outside that was red and white, with gold accents, complete with a dragon and a swan.
"I hope it's to your liking," Miho told him.
"Thank you so much, it's amazing!" Shinji beamed, leaving Miho to smile.
The two smiled, hugging and kissing each other before Shinji looked at his camera.
"Do you mind if I test it out…?" Shinji asked.
Miho happily posed for a bit, allowing Shinji to take several pictures of her. She grinned as she knew part of what Shinji would focus on, and happily did some that showed off her legs and feet, to which Shinji gladly snapped pictures of.
"And here's the best part," she spoke, showing the backside of the camera and soon pulling up a file select, "You don't even need to print them. You can preview the images here at any time, and even save them to a card to put onto your computer."
"This is easily the best gift I've ever received. Thanks, Miho. You're the best," Shinji told her, quickly giving her a kiss to the cheek, "Alright… here's my gift."
Miho opened the gift to see a necklace that had a beautiful red and white gem in it that had a mixture of their Rider symbols, leaving her stunned and amazed.
"Shinji…" she gawked, "Wh-Where did you get this?"
"Custom shop. They were taking orders, and the amount of money I spent let me get it done in two days. I wanted to make sure it was done before today so I could get it for you."
Miho continued to look amazed at the gift, blushing with a smile as she put on the necklace and gently let it sway for a moment before it rested against her.
"I know this war hasn't been the greatest thing… but… because of it… we met and got together. So… if there's anything about this mess I can say was a positive, it's that I got to meet you."
"I love it. And I love you. I don't care what happens, or what comes in the future. You're… the greatest thing in my life, Shinji. And I don't ever want to lose you."
"I love you too, and… you're the greatest thing in my life, too…"
Shinji and Miho happily kissed, embracing each other tightly to show how happy they were with each-other and how happy they were. The two soon opened up some other presents and sat by a fireplace for a little while, just happily cuddling each-other. Shinji's gaze fell to his girlfriend's partially exposed body, but she didn't mind him doing so as she let her hands be by his body.
"Shinji-kun? I'm good, right?" Miho asked.
"Of course."
"And this good girl wants something from you…" Miho told him, starting to tug at her outfit and then tugging at Shinji's.
"Want this bad boy that badly, huh? Well, who am I to deny you your wish?" Shinji grinned.
The two happily started to make out and get rid of their clothes, making out in more ways than one...
Ren had arrived in the hospital with a soft exhale as he put a present nearby Eri. He quietly took a seat nearby her, setting the gift on the nightstand beside her and sighing a bit.
Keizo handed a gift to Yui before he headed off for the evening, the young woman simply opening it to find a little pocket watch. She smiled at it and soon gave Keizo a gentle hug to thank him.
Both Goro and Yuichi were visiting their deceased friends, simply placing flowers at their tombstones with their heads lowered out of respect...
Asakura, though, was fast asleep outside of a mining area, not caring about anything but warmth. Soon, some coal dropped onto him in his sleep, and he mumbled something about vexing others…
"The remainder of 2002, this war had no losses. No Rider had died before the year's end…"
"I've always wanted to see fireworks before the New Year…" Miho admitted as she looked outside an opened up window.
"You've not seen them before?"
"No. My family thought it was a waste of time and the time my onee-chan said she would… well… you know…"
Shinji simply nodded a bit, holding Miho close before he decided to do something about that…
"We get to see the fireworks tonight?" Miho asked with a happy smiled.
"Best seats in the show," Shinji told her as he handed her tickets, his girlfriend looking almost giddy with excitement as she took the ticket, "I had to spend a lot of money, but no expense is too much for you."
"Aw, Shinji. That's so sweet. You're the best boyfriend a girl could ever ask for," Miho smiled, quickly kissing his cheek, "I'm so glad I got a kimono recently. I actually get to wear it tonight. This is going to be amazing!"
"Can't wait to see it," Shinji smiled.
It was now close to sunset, the two dressed in kimonos for the evening as they walked along. Shinji's was fairly normal with some red and gold highlights, while Miho's was somewhat customized white kimono with golden accents that had a feather design, and while Shinji had some regular dress shoes on, he could hear the sandals that Miho had on gently clacking against the ground as they walked.
"You look beautiful," Shinji told her.
"Thank you. You look handsome," Miho told him.
The two happily walked along, making their way to the event space.
Shinji and Miho took a seat and awaited the fireworks to start up, both taking a moment to enjoy the evening sky.
"What is your resolution?" Shinji asked her.
"Now that I have you, I just want to stay by your side and… hopefully find some way to survive. You?"
"Mine… I want to stay by your side. Doesn't matter what we end up doing, as long as we're together and can keep going forward."
Miho giggled a bit, then gently moved part of her kimono to show off her legs to him so Shinji could see them.
"One thing I know I'll never say for a resolution, ignoring your beauty…" Shinji gently flirted, playfully touching her legs and making her smile.
This made Miho giggle a bit more and kissed him before they looked up to the sky and waited to see the fireworks.
Unbeknownst to them, the other Riders were in the middle of a battle against each other, the bout currently between Ouja, Raia, Verde, Zolda, and Knight as they tried to get an edge on each other, only for nobody to be able to get an upperhand...
The two happily kissed as the fireworks went off, taking the time to zone out the rest of the conflict and just enjoy their time together as the fireworks went off. After the split, Miho watched the fireworks go off in amazement and Shinji looked up with her.
"They're beautiful…" Miho gawked, leaning into Shinji's chest.
Shinji smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder and watching the fireworks go off. He snapped a handful of pictures, catching the beautiful moment...
"Such a joyous time for a joyous couple. It was unclear if Kido-san was able to find love in his timeline normally, but here, it is uplifting to know he was able to find some joy amidst the chaos that was the Rider War. ...however… Ryuki is known as a tragedy. This means this happiness is naught to last, and in the end, tragedy strikes..."
It was now the middle of January of 2003, and all of the remaining Riders had been gathered into an abandoned cathedral awaiting why they were called there. The golden cloaked figure stepped up to the front, making sure they were front and center for this event.
"Why are we here?" Shuichi asked.
"It is important info. So pay attention."
Shuichi went silent as the figure turned towards them and they could sort of see his face.
"My name is Kanzaki Shiro. I am the reason you are in this Rider War. Without me, none of you would be here for this fight."
"How vexing," Asakura muttered before Kanzaki continued...
"On February 22nd… the Rider War will end. If there's not one remaining Rider, then the wish shall no longer be able to be granted. As it stands, there are only seven Riders left, and only one of you can face the final opponent to get the wish."
The room went silent, everyone clearly shocked by the revelation as the idea settled in
"What?!" Ren yelled.
"The 22nd of next month?" Keizo questioned.
"Why the limit?" Shuichi added.
"It is as it is. Do not question the restrictions of the Rider War, or else you shall be disqualified…"
The entire room went silent, leaving everyone to look at each other before the figure motioned to them.
"Tell me… why do you fight?" the golden figure questioned the remaining Riders.
There was silence amidst the Riders, but the silence didn't last long as Ren stood up and spoke first.
"I fight to bring my fianceé back…" Ren stated.
"I fight to protect the innocents!" Keizo proclaimed.
"I fight to bring back my master…" Goro stated simply.
"I just fight to help those who can't help themselves…" Yuichi admitted.
"I fight to make others suffer…" Asakura grinned, cracking his own knuckles.
The group gathered up their decks and headed into the Mirror World to start duking it out, leaving only Shinji, Miho, and the golden figure. They realized Kanzaki wanted an answer from them, and they likely were not going to leave until they gave their responses. Shinji then decided to speak.
"I guess… I fight for what Miho wants…" Shinji said with some uncertainty, "Because… I love her. I want to ensure she is happy. I really don't know why else I fight."
"I… Sh-Shinji… *sighs* I thought I knew what I fought for, but now? I guess… my sister? Maybe?" Miho spoke.
The figure simply gave a nod, before the body went totally limp. Shinji and Miho both stared at it a little, both surprised by
"You go on ahead. I'm gonna see if i can find anything out…"
"Are you sure?" Shinji asked.
"I… I need to gather my thoughts after that question…" Miho admitted.
With a nod, Shinji grabbed his deck, transformed, and headed off. As such, the swan Rider was left along with the body of Shiro. Miho let out a sigh as she thought over the question that was asked of her, wondering if she really meant what she said. Miho soon took her deck, only to see the figure that Kanzaki had been using went completely limp and void. She looked it over a bit, only to see cards that were left in a pocket...
Verde and Ouja did battle against each-other, the officer wasting no time in trying to take down the serial killer.
"Come on, was that supposed to hurt?" Ouja questioned.
The chameleon Rider growled, trying to strike down Ouja as best he could, but Ouja didn't even flinch at his moves.
"I will stop at nothing until I make sure you're behind bars and can't hurt anyone any longer!" Verde shouted.
=FINAL VENT!=
Green energy gathered at his legs, his Contract monster, BioGreeza leaping in to lasso its tongue around his leg before launching him high enough to reach near the top of the cathedral that existed in the Mirror World. However...
=CONFINE VENT!=
Suddenly, all of the energy from Verde's finisher completely vanished. This made him collide against the ground with a sickening thud, somewhat limp.
"Cops are useless. You are no better than dirt…" Ouja proclaimed as he scanned a card.
=FINAL VENT!=
Ouja then chuckled a bit as his Contract Monster zipped over as Ouja jumped and flipped, the snake spitting some acid to launch the kicking Ouja into Verde as hard as possible.. Verde's body came crashing down and shot right out of a mirror, landing on the ground with a thud. Raia and Zolda both opened fire on Ouja as Knight headed out to check on the bleeding Keizo, not seeing that Keizo's deck had its contents scattered.
"Officer!" Knight yelled.
"...it hurts…" Keizo said weakly, struggling to reach out and grasp something.
"Hey, don't die!" Knight yelled.
"I guess… this is my end…" Keizo weakly spoke as he started to bleed.
Knight reverted back into Ren, as he held onto Keizo's dying body.
"Ren-san… please… tell me teammates… I didn't make it… and say I'm sorry for it…" Keizo requested, "...please. As my last… request…"
Ren just looked almost horrified before nodding as Keizo fell lifeless in his arms.
The chameleon wandered around in confusion, only for Ouja to quickly grab the contract card for it. The chameleon looked over to Ouja with initial disgust, only to bow a little. Raia and Zolda both walked over to see this, looking stunned at the sight before Raia growled, rushing towards Ouja...
"Sick 'em," Ouja proclaimed.
Ryuki stepped up, only to see what was happening and quickly ducked out of the mirror world, barely avoiding a beatdown from the lizard.
"The killer got to Verde…" Shinji informed when he met up with Miho.
"The cop that was after us? I… feel a little sorry…" Miho admitted.
"I should be more traumatized for seeing that, but I think this war numbed me to that. ...we're gonna need something new soon. That guy has three beasts now…"
"That may be… But~ it looks like I got us an edge…" Miho grinned as she walked over with two cards in hand, the two showing off golden wings with different colored backgrounds. The one she gave to Shinji had a red background, while hers had a white background.
"Where did you…?" Shinji began to question, only for his eyes to widen, "You didn't…?"
"Steal them from the guy running this game? I did," Miho said with a big grin on her face, "Got to get every advantage we can get, right?"
She kept on grinning, giving Shinji the card with the red background while taking the other for herself.
"What he doesn't know won't hurt us," Miho stated as they started to head away in a hurry.
"You're amazing as always," Shinji told her.
"Go on. Praise me a little more. I think I earned it," Miho gently requested.
"You're the true goddess, and you already won this war in my heart," Shinji told her.
"Okay, that's good," Miho smiled, quickly kissing his cheek.
The limp host soon sparked again and reached for the cards… only to see some were missing. The figure growled and then seemingly transformed into a golden Rider…
Shinji and Miho soon returned to town and stopped somewhere to get something to eat. The two managed to relax, grabbing some sandwiches from a small cart. They took their meal outside and sat down, each taking a moment to relax and enjoy the meal
"So… were those the only cards you got?" Shinji asked.
"And I got this as well…" Miho informed as she showed off a card that depicted a clock and read 'Time Vent' atop of it, but otherwise had no info, "I… don't know what it's supposed to do. Most seem pretty simple to understand, but this feels a bit vague. Even those other two I snagged at least have this air of a power up of some sort."
Shinji just nodded as they carefully tucked away the cards and focused on eating.
Soon, the two were noticed by Yui, who saw the card that they had. Memories of past attempts of this war came flooding back to her, and she was clearly panicked internally as she walked outside to the two.
"Oh. Hi. Uh… we paid for the food, so… we're good, right?" Shinji spoke.
"That card… give it…" Yui told the two.
"Eh?" Shinji blinked.
"Please… give me that card…" Yui begged,
"Why should I?" Miho questioned.
"Because without that card, this war will finally end…" Yui informed.
"Eh? You… know about…?"
"I know all about that world and those monsters. I know because I have seen it again and again…"
Miho just stared at Yui for a little bit, not sure what to think.
"Please…"
Miho looked at the girl and then saw an approaching figure. She quickly handed the Time Vent card over to Yui, making sure she was able to get away as both Miho and Shinji stood up.
"Cheaters… do not last in my game…" the figure declared, taking off his cloak to reveal a bronze and gold figure with a phoenix motif hovering over the two with an air of both grace and anger.
"Wh… what are you? Wraith or something?"
"No. I am… Kamen Rider… Odin…"
"That's not ominous in the slightest," Miho uttered a little sarcastically as both she and Shinji summoned their belts.
"Henshin!"
The two quickly transformed, ready to fight Odin as best they could. They both went in to try to punch him… but he simply teleported in a puff of feathers and reappeared behind them. The Riders continued the exchange back and forth, Ryuki even summoning his Strike Vent to try a ranged attack, but Odin simply held up his hand and the attack just… stopped when it hit him.
"This isn't fair!" Siren yelled.
Odin appeared behind and chopped Siren in the neck, sending her to the ground and then kicking her with golden energy. Siren was knocked back and reverted back. She was able to still stand, though, but she was clearly injured.
"Miho!" Ryuki yelled before he felt a power start to come forth, pulling out the card Miho gave him as his reader shifted from a wrist-mounted form, to being engulfed in flames before turning into more of a handheld mode, "For her… I'll keep fighting… and I'll survive to the end!"
He opened the mouth of the reader and slammed the new card in place.
=SURVIVE!=
Ryuki's armor was engulfed in fire before his bodysuit turned black and he gained red armor that bulked on the chest and looked more dragon-like. Ryuki stepped forward and right between Odin and Miho, managing to block the gold Rider's attack and then punched him back.
"Yosha!" he proclaimed.
Ryuki then rushed in, Miho stunned to see the boy she considered a sucker a long time ago now looking like a knight in shining armor. She simply watched in amazement and awe, blushing as she just took this sight in.
Odin did manage to parry some attacks, but Ryuki was able to get more strikes in thanks to this power-up and managed to make Odin stumble back a little bit.
"You are both pathetic cheaters that shouldn't have been in my war…"
"Takes a cheater to know a cheater!" Yui suddenly yelled.
Odin stood up in shock, looking to Yui as she had the Time Vent card in her hands and started to rip it a little bit. This left Odin in shock and panic as he tried to get to her...
"Yui, don't!"
With a yell, Yui tore the Time Vent card in half, then kept ripping it apart as much as she possibly could, leaving the card in small pieces on the ground and then stomping on them to make sure it wouldn't have a chance to come back.
"No… more… do-overs!" Yui yelled as the remains of the Time Vent card faded into nothingness.
Ryuki just stepped back as Odin gathered himself a little bit. Odin just stared at the event before him, then simply took a step back. He then teleported away without another word, leaving Ryuki to sigh with relief and the girls to just stare.
"Well… that… was something. Thank you," Ryuki quickly thanked Yui before he reverted back and went over to Miho, "You ok?"
"Yea… I think so. I'm not so happy about having had to be the damsel in distress, but… if it means I get to be near a knight in shining armor like you, I'll happily take it," Miho told Shinji, quickly kissing him again and again.
The two laughed and smiled as they kissed a bit.
"You're my handsome and dashing dragon knight," Miho flirted.
"Well, you're my lovely, radiant swan princess if that's the case," Shinji counter-flirted.
The two kept at this a bit more, when...
"Oh, gross!" Yui yelled.
Odin returned to the church and simply stared a bit, clearly not able to process having lost his ace in the hole.
"The Time Vent… is gone. There's no way I can rewind time if I don't win… and my foresight is gone too. This war… it has to end. I must win no matter what."
He then growled and took out another card, "If they think they can cheat… time to cheat back…"
A few days went by before another Rider battle. Ouja was now against Raia, the stingray Rider seeming to hold his own for a good while. However, Ouja clearly had something in mind as he just tanked the attacks. He slipped out a card and just stared at it a little.
"I can't wait to beat you… then… I get to try out something new…" Ouja stated, before he was joined by his three Contract Monsters, "Sick him."
BioGreeza, the cobra Venosnaker, and the rhino Metalgelas rushed in and beat on Raia without end, causing him to get knocked back and part of his suit to begin to fade. He was panicking as he summoned Evildiver and tried to defend, but Ouja ran up and stabbed him right through the chest...
Raia fell to the ground and reverted back into his human form, struggling to get up and soon fading away...
"Now… let's try this…" Ouja grinned as he took out a card labeled 'Unite Vent' as it soon depicted an image of the four monsters fusing...
Out in the real world, there was a sudden and loud explosion. People turned outside and saw a giant monster that was part snake, part rhino, part chameleon, and part stingray that were forcibly merged into one. It went on a rampage with a loud roar, slamming its horn into cars and striking at buildings with its tail.
"Well… uh… didn't expect it to be strong enough to appear in the real world…" Odin admitted as he watched the monster roar like a kaiju, making him almost grin under his helmet, "This may work to my advantage. Let's see how it all goes down…"
Ouja rode on the shoulder of his monster, laughing like a madman, watching the kaijin rampage across the streets of the city and seeing people flee in terror.
Suddenly, the black and bluish bat Darkwing, the green and silver minotaur Magnugiga, Dragreder and Blancwing rushed over, managing to strike at the combined abomination and knock Ouja down from it. This allowed the remaining Riders to leap in and take action against the kaiju
Ryuki looked at the downed Ouja and then just stared at his reader.
'Do I dare attack him now?' Ryuki thought before he heard someone hurry over.
Ryuki looked a little unsure, but soon saw Siren hurry to his side.
"Miho… it's all you…"
"Gladly…" Siren smirked as she walked forward and held out her Survive Card.
The icy winds surrounded her rapier of a reader before she held it up, the reader soon transforming into a shield of some sort that still had the swan motif, with the insertion point being by the wings. Siren then pulled a lever on the back to open the wings and insert the card before slamming it shut.
=SURVIVE!=
Siren was then surrounded by icy winds as she gained more golden accents, larger shoulder pads, losing her cape, her body suit turning golden and the swan aspects became more pronounced with wings by her shoulderpads, some feathers atop her helmet, and she stood with a grace that seemed divine. White highlights came across the legs of her suit and her heels got a little bit taller, showcasing her beauty and grace.
Ryuki couldn't help but clap in amazement at the sight before him, his girlfriend standing with a radiance glistening off her suit.
"You look… divine…" Ryuki told her, "Truly, like a goddess."
Siren giggled a little in response, kicking her heel up playfully, before she turned back to Ouja and stood ready for action.
"You two vex me…" Ouja growled.
"You keep your mouth shut. You're not going to survive this battle…" Siren announced, quickly sending out an ice beam that formed into a small wall of ice. She then charged right into it with Ouja in tow, sending them back into the Mirror World.
"I love her…" Ryuki said. He then heard a warbling sound, and saw the kaiju of a Mirror Monster starting to fade. It was clear it was struggling to stay intact in the physical realm for much longer without Ouja. The other Mirror Monsters quickly headed back into the Mirror World, giving the other Riders a chance to watch as the kaiju faded away completely, "YOSHA!"
Now, with the battle back in the Mirror World, Siren held nothing back as she went on the attack. She quickly inserted a new card into her weapon.
=SHOOT VENT!=
Icy energy gathered around her free hand, revealing a shotgun in the shape of a swan, which she twirled in her hand and aimed at Ouja, firing out icicles in his direction. He actually yelled in pain as the shots landed, the female Rider managing to knock him to the ground.
"Dumb… swan…" Ouja growled as he managed to stand.
"I am not just a swan… I am an elegant lord of ice and wind, a proud queen of tricks and mischief as well as beauty. Some even call me a goddess for my looks. I am no mere swan. I am Kamen Rider Siren! And you shall fall before my hands!" Siren boastfully declared.
"You vex me… you vex me so much…" Ouja growled.
Siren just fired her swan shotgun, Swanshot, again at Ouja.
"You took the words right out of my mouth, you ba****d," Siren responded.
Ouja managed to stand again, yet was starting to pant a bit. Before Ouja could act… the colors in his suit began to fade and his staff lost the snake motif. He was starting to realize what was happening as he looked to see his fusion beast, Genocider, was fading away into nothingness.
"No… not now…" Ouja weakly spoke, trying to get to the exit.
"Oh, yes now. Your reign of terror ends now!" Siren declared, slamming one more card into her weapon.
=FINAL VENT!=
Ice energy gathered at Siren's feet as Blancwing quickly flew over, transforming into a larger bird that moved Ouja into position for Siren as she slowly walked over. With Ouja now underneath her, she stomped onto his belt, shattering it in the process.
"That's for my sister," Siren uttered as Ouja lost his armor, leaving Asakura to start fading. With that, Siren gracefully walked to her exit point, leaving the Mirror World with no further words.
At this point, there was nothing left for Asakura as he just screamed in anguish, turning into nothingness...
"Thus, Kamen Rider Ouja falls. The killer has been slain with Kirishima-san having avenged her sister. But with only four Riders remaining apart from Odin, things can only progress further to the ending…"
Siren stood in her Survive Mode in the apartment for just a bit, allowing Shinji to snap some photos really quick before she reverted back, taking a huge breath of relief as she stretched a bit.
"Like I said earlier… you look divine…" Shinji told her, showing her some photos, Miho looking impressed at her outfit.
"Oh wow. I looked THAT good? You really know how to highlight my best areas," Miho admitted, smiling at her boyfriend before hugging him tightly, "I feel… on top of the world."
"Huh? You beat him?"
"Yeah. It was pretty cathartic and amazing to do."
"Well, I'm glad you were able to avenge your sister at last."
"It's because of you I could finally avenge my sister…" Miho smiled, "You gave me the opening I needed to make it one-on-one. I doubt I could've ever managed to get him alone without a bit of a distraction."
Shinji smiled as he embraced Miho and just remained like that for a little while.
Miho gave Shinji a kiss, then sat down with him, "I know I'm asking a lot, but… can you just… tend to me? I know you like to joke I'm a goddess, but could you actually… I don't know… treat me like one for a bit?"
Shinji just gave her a smile, "As you wish, my divine goddess."
He then bowed to her, kissing Miho's hand and just keeping his head low to indicate respect.
Miho gave off a giggle and presented her feet and legs to him, wiggling her toes and moving a hand along her leg to make him look at them. He slowly peppered her feet and legs with some kisses, making her smile wider and giggle a bit.
"This is nice…" Miho relaxed, sighing as she leaned into the seat, "I've earned this…"
A few days passed and the media were trying to figure out what had been rampaging in the city without success. It was clear that no one could see the monster attacking or what made it vanish.
"What a mess…" Ren exhaled, looking to his deck.
"There remain three others in my way of reviving my master… and nobody will stop me…" Goro said as walked over, then he glared at Ren.
"I know…"
"Have you ever had any blood on your hands, Batboy? Ever actually slain a single target with those hands? I've spilled a lot of blood. I'm not proud of it, but I know I must in order to get what I want."
Ren growled a bit as he clenched his fist and got out his deck. Goro gave off a scoff and did the same, both holding them out and summoning their belts.
"Henshin!" they both shouted.
They quickly transformed and dove right into the Mirror World to fight...
Shinji and Miho happily walked along for a bit, before the sounds from the mirror world echoed.
"Well… no choice…" Shinji sighed.
"What a pain…" Miho added.
The duo arrived outside where Knight and Zolda were fighting, but chose to remain in the real world and watch. They couldn't help but grin as they saw the battle unfolding.
Knight and Zolda both charged towards each-other as their finishers both went off. They both collided and were sent careening over to opposite sides of the battlefield and the area was blanketed with dust. As the dust settled, both Riders were fading away. Their decks had shattered in the resulting attack, leaving the two humans to glare at each other, clearly cursing before they started to vanish. Both Ren and Goro disappeared with no trace, leaving Miho and Shinji in silence, both soon coming to the same thought...
"They're… both gone…" Shinji realized.
"Which means the finalists… are us and Kanzaki…" Miho added.
A few weeks went by… but nothing had happened as Ryuki and Siren both battled some mirror monsters and kept feeding their Contract Monsters as they made sure to stay alive while trying to avoid the situation they were now in.
The two happily walked along, hand-in-hand, before they took notice of someone in their way. They looked at the cloaked figure, but both could see Odin was underneath it.
"Oh. Hi…" Miho spoke.
"What is it?" Shinji questioned.
"Are you both really this stupid?"
The two just looked confused, clearly not sure what he meant.
"You both forget one thing… that only one of you can face me…" Odin reminded the two as their eyes widened in horror at the new revelation, "Are you both that stupid, or were you just running away from the truth?"
Neither Shinji nor Miho spoke as they kept their hands together, realizing they didn't want to.
"You should've realized that truth sooner before you were the last ones."
Shinji and Miho remained silent at Odin's statement as he stepped towards them.
"You have three days to decide which of you two dies and who faces me… otherwise, the wish can no longer be granted."
"But what if-" Shinji started to speak.
"You cannot cheat your way out of this. Only one of you must remain…"
With that, Odin vanished with no trace. The lovebirds sighing as they looked at each-other. They dreaded this moment occurring and walked away.
Shinji and Miho sat in the bedroom of the apartment, both at a loss of what to say about the circumstances in front of them. They were clearly not ready to lose the other.
"...just one…" Miho whispered.
"Yeah…"
"Why didn't I see that coming?" Miho questioned.
"And now… we need to do something…" Shinji exhaled.
They sat in silence for a little bit longer, before Shinji turned towards Miho.
"Do… do you have a wish?"
"Yeah… I wanted to bring my sister back to life. But… I don't know if that's what I'm sticking with. I may change that depending on what happens. What's your wish?"
Shinji went completely silent as he tried to think of a response. Silence soon regained a tight grip over the two of them, leaving them unsure of what to say or think for a while, before they then looked at each-other with a bit of passion in their eyes.
"If this is our last night together… then just give it our all…" Miho said.
"Yeah, I agree. Let's make this the best night of our lives and make it special," Shinji agreed.
"Give me everything you've got…" Miho told Shinji as she pulled off her top.
"Same to you," Shinji nodded as he did the same.
They were soon completely without clothes and got close together. The two passionately kissed and got closer and closer together. At that point, there was nothing left between them and their love. They continued this throughout the night as all they focused on was each-other.
"I don't want to think about anything other than you…" Shinji told Miho.
"Same here. We've come so far, and we can have tonight. You're my whole world…" Miho told Shinji.
The two then kissed once more, making sure they were genuine and unrestricted in how they cared for each-other. They kept having their fun for a while, making a blast of their time together. After a bit, Shinji looked at Miho and thought about something.
"I saw this image online… where a woman gave someone a hug with their legs…" Shinji spoke, blushing a little as Miho listened to him, "...would we be able to try that?"
Miho complied as she let her legs go by Shinji into a sort of hug, with her thighs right on Shinji's shoulders, and her feet somewhat swaying by his chest, making him blush and grin at the sight. Miho soon ended up with a small thought, "Was I the one who made you like seeing female legs?"
"Yeah. You were, and… I'm glad that you did. Before, I didn't really… have anything or anyone to make me excited or happy. Then I met you and you brought excitement into my life. Then… you showed them off to me and it just… got something turning in my head. Without you, I just can't bear to think about what my life would be like…"
Miho smiled, then gracefully leaned down to give him a kiss on the lips, Shinji returning it with a now-familiar warmth that he was all too happy to return. The two enjoyed the kiss for a bit before Miho went back to giving Shinji the leg hug, with him gently moving his hands along her legs a bit.
"I love you…" they ended up saying at the same time.
Miho woke up the next day, but saw Shinji wasn't there. She looked around the apartment a bit, but saw nothing. She was starting to get worried as there was nobody around.
"Shinji?" she called out, only for a small echo to sound back.
She sighed, quickly took a shower, got dressed, and started looking for him. She felt even more concerned now as she looked around her apartment and found out that none of their few neighbors had seen him.
"Where are you…?" she muttered.
As she walked, she soon heard something land against the ground and then hurried to the rails to see what it was… and to her horror, it was Shinji. She made a mad dash down the stairs, trying to get to his side to see what happened. Other people in the building were either staring, in just total disbelief, or trying to contact a hospital to get help. In her haste, Miho didn't pay them mind as she got down the stairs as fast as she possibly could.
"SHINJI!" she yelled, managing to reach Shinji's side and kneel down next to him.
"Mi… ho…" he spoke, "I was… hoping you… wouldn't see this."
"What… were you thinking?!"
"I don't… have a wish. You do…" Shinji informed her, leaving her stunned as she looked at him, "...beat Kanzaki… and get it."
"No, you idiot! You didn't have to do this. Why?! Why did you do this?! WHY!?"
"I did this… so you wouldn't… have to hurt me…" Shinji spoke, "I knew… you wouldn't. So… I had to… take matters… into my own hands."
Tears started to form in Miho's eyes, making her start to cry before she noticed Shinji slipped two cards in her hand, revealing his Dragreder card and his Survive card.
"Take these… and battle Kanzaki… and win. I'll… be with you… in spirit."
"Shinji, no… don't… don't leave me…" Miho weeped as she desperately grabbed his hands and held them, "You… you can't leave me… I love you… please… don't…"
"I… love you… too…" Shinji spoke, coughing a little as his eyes started to close a bit, "...I'm glad… I could see you… before I die. Be that light of hope… for your future. You… really are… my goddess in human form…"
"Don't die on me… please…"
Shinji gave her a weak smile, struggling to give her encouragement, before he closed his eyes and laid limp.
"No… Shinji! Shinji, please! Shinji!" Miho yelled, trying to shake him, not wanting to let go of him as she started to feel his pulse fade and his warmth start to fade to the chilly touch of death, "SHINJI!"
Shinji… was gone. Miho looked at his now still body, before she took out his Advent Deck, which started to grey out to indicate he was deceased. All Miho could do was cry at this point, face into the lifeless body beside her as sirens started to fill the area from hospital transport.
From the other side of the mirror, Blancwing and Dragreder both watched this. Dragreder started to tear up at the loss of his partner, roaring in sorrow as Blancwing did her best to comfort the dragon.
"In all of the iterations of this war… Kido-san… never met his end like this… He either fought his way to victory, stalled out to the bitter end, or died a noble death. But here, his love was far too great for Kirishima-san that he gave his own life so she could have her wish granted. ...an old saying exists that love makes you blind and stupid. Despite that, he still made an impact on someone enough to allow this world's war to draw to an end."
Miho soon stood in the waiting room of a hospital, tapping her foot out of anxiousness as she waited for any sign. A medical worker soon walked over to her and guided her in, showing they couldn't save Shinji. Miho just teared up seeing her boyfriend's corpse before her, falling to her knees and just crying. Time then seemed to slow to a crawl around her, the mirror world ring echoing throughout the entire room as Miho looked around to find the source. She kept looking around, and then saw a reflection on a metal cabinet that started to ripple with a golden light before Odin appeared before her, hovering into view.
"Congratulations, Kirishima Miho. You are the last Rider of the ones besides myself. You have a chance to get your wish granted if you are able to beat me…"
Miho glared at the reflection with murderous intent, clearly set on ending the war for Shinji's sake as she clenched her fist.
"I don't care if it's for my wish or not. I am ready to defeat you once and for all! You are going to suffer by my hands! Let's do it right here, right now, unless you're too scared, you overgrown chicken!" Miho declared, Odin tilting his head as if impressed by her boldness before he glanced to notice Shinji's deceased corpse.
"We shall fight in your world. Meet me at the cathedral when you are ready. We shall have our grand climax there, and end the war. ...don't worry. When I win, you'll get to be with your boyfriend once again."
With that, Odin's image disappeared. In spite of that, the world remained frozen around Miho. She was given a moment to gather her bearings, looking to her deck, along with the Survive and Advent cards Shinji left her. She quickly slotted them in and started walking...
Miho walked towards Odin's location and just stood ready for the final battle. Around her neck was the necklace that Shinji had given her, the red and white jewel glimmering in the light of the stained glass window. She looked as Odin stepped forward and summoned up a staff while looking ready.
"Welcome, Kamen Rider Femme. Oh, I'm sorry. Kamen Rider Siren, as you self-proclaimed…" Odin spoke, correcting himself in an almost mocking tone before looking at her, "Since you've come this far, I figured respecting your title would be at least worth the time."
Miho simply glared at him, pulling out her deck as Odin just watched her. She said nothing as she quickly summoned both her belt and the Survive mode device, revealing her Survive card once again, setting it in place.
"...henshin…"
=SURVIVE!=
The icy winds of her previous transformation into the form appeared, whipping up around her, the reflections looking rather frozen as they shattered over her body and Miho now stood in her Survive form, holding her shield, ready to fight the last battle.
"I suppose you may want some answers about why I decided to host this little war…" Odin spoke.
"I don't care about your backstory!" Siren yelled as she charged forward to punch him, only for Odin to teleport away from the attack, "You were responsible for so many deaths, so why should I care?!"
"You've met my younger sister. The truth of the matter is… had no victor between you and Ryuki had been decided, she would've died. I intend to beat you, and use the wish to make sure she doesn't die. Whatever feeble wish you have pales in comparison to-" Odin continued, only to get smacked upside the head by Siren, who was clearly in no mood to speak in any capacity.
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH! I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY!" Siren shouted, inserting another card.
=SHOOT VENT!=
Swanshot in hand, Siren blasted ice at Odin, who just endured her attacks.
"You knew you were in a war. It's not my fault you fell in love. Let alone with a Rider who was your very competition. You're probably better off without that idiot anyway…" Odin remarked as he teleported away, then reappeared behind her, "Oh, and now I remember. It's your fault he was even in this war in the first place. My original plan for the dragon deck died before he could get it, and you passed it off to Shinji in the first place. Were it not for you, he would never have gotten into this war..."
"URUSAI!" Siren yelled, pulling out a brand new card and slammed it into her shield-reader.
=RAPIER VENT!=
With a new, stronger looking rapier, Siren turned the blade towards Odin as she wildly and angrily swung it at him. Odin ended up starting to get knocked back at least a little bit as she swung, the swan's power beginning to grow as she kept up the assault. Odin did manage to grab the rapier and toss it away, only for Siren to just punch him again. The phoenix Rider was clearly starting to struggle as Siren kept up the attacks. She soon charged up some ice into one of her fists and smacked him right down to the ground.
Siren just kept punching at Odin's down body without relenting, tears flowing from behind her mask.
"GIVE HIM BACK! GIVE ME SHINJI BACK! I WANT HIM BACK!" Siren yelled angrily as she kept up the attacks, her blows actually starting to get some ice in them as she continued to wail on him, easily starting to leave some ice on his suit. Odin could clearly tell she was crying behind her mask, then just gave off a scoff sound as he teleported away from her.
"Honestly… you're like a child that lost their favorite toy…" Odin taunted as he reappeared behind her, swatting her in the head as the swan Rider rolled along the ground. She was able to stand and did see that some of the ice was still on Odin's suit, "You grow too attached to something that inevitably has to die eventually. It's so childish to want someone who's dead back."
"Oh yeah?! You did all this because you lost someone!" Siren countered as she charged forward, managing to punch him again, "You're nothing but a hypocrite!"
Odin growled a little in response as he summoned his staff to prepare something, only for Siren to quickly scan another card.
=SCREECH VENT!=
The evolved Blancwing flew forward, unleashing a screech so loud that Odin had to cover his ears a bit. Siren took this chance, grabbed her rapier again, and started swinging at him. This actually chipped Odin's armor a little bit as he was knocked back from the force of the attack.
"Had enough yet?!" Siren shouted.
Odin said nothing more as he took out a card and, to Siren's shock, it was another Survive Card. This version of the card looking like the central body of the golden bird whose wings formed the other cards.
=SURVIVE!=
A golden light shined from Odin's body, repairing any damage he had on before. His form gained a regal cloak and cape that resembled wings before talons formed on his hands, his head gained something that resembled a cloak, and his reader morphed into what seemed to be a naginata.
"It is time for me to win this war…" Odin declared as he charged forward.
Siren held up her shield-reader only for Odin to effortlessly swat it away and start beating on her like there was no tomorrow. His staff knocked some of her weapons aside, leaving her with just her Swanshot for a bit before it was shattered by the naginata that Odin now had. She was blasted back, multiple times as Odin began to teleport a few times over as he kicked her to the ground.
"Just surrender, Femme. You stand little chance against me, a god among Riders! The game master of this war! The definitive champion of the Mirror World! THE ONE WHO WILL GET THE WISH!"
"My name… is Siren…"
"It doesn't matter who you are. You shall fall before me. Nothing shall stop me!"
Siren managed to grab her reader and get out the other Survive Card, with visions of her time with Shinji replaying in her mind as she looked at it. She teared up for one moment in her helmet before managing to open her shield-reader and get the card closer to it.
"Shinji… lend me your strength…" Siren spoke, quickly loading in Ryuki's Survive Card. When she did, it caused her reader to partially look like Ryuki's and a warmth to flow over her body. Flames started to appear along her form, yet there was no pain from the heat. In fact, the heat was actually comforting to her.
=SURVIVE PLUS!=
This caused her armor to gain aspects of a dragon and turn red in some spots. Her armor seemed to get even stronger as this happened, with some fire and ice highlights appearing on a new cape, and some red appearing on her legs as well. Her helmet in particular seemed to gain some dragon horns along with swan wings, and the mixture of their two symbols on the jewel that Shinji had given her appeared on this Rider's forehead. Odin could only watch this in horror as this mixture of flames and frost permeated the cathedral around them.
"What?! NO! This is impossible! Nobody besides myself should be able to use more than one Survive Card!"
"Never underestimate the power of love…" Siren spoke, standing ready and re-energized, "Shinji… this one's for you."
She twirled her blade, summoning up fire and ice all at once before she slammed it to the ground, causing both elements to flow through the area. Siren then ran forward and started to attack Odin, going right for a punch when a fiery, spectral image of Ryuki in Survive armor appeared alongside her, attacking Odin as well. She glanced to the vision of Ryuki, giving off a soft giggle, then resumed her confrontation with the phoenix Rider, attacking him with punches, kicks, and slashes that were joined by the spectral image of Ryuki.
"How?! He's supposed to be dead! This negates the entire point of the final confrontation-"
Siren kicked Odin, the ghostly Ryuki joining in as the golden Rider was sent flying off, separating Odin from the naginata that had evolved from his staff. She gave off a confident 'heh' as she quickly got over to it. Siren's heels gathered ice energy and she quickly stomped down on Odin's naginata, shattering it into pieces. With that, Odin reverted back into his base form, but the third Survive Card was quickly picked up by Siren and slotted into her deck for safe keeping. She smirked as the phoenix Rider struggled to get back up.
"This… this isn't happening!"
"Oh, but it is…" Siren responded, pulling out her Final Vent card, but now it appeared with both hers and Ryuki's symbols on it before she scanned it.
=FINAL VENT!=
"My name… is Kirishima Miho… I am Kamen Rider Siren… the true champion of this war! You say you're the god? Sorry… but I'm the goddess! And you are but an ant to crush beneath my heels!" she yelled out, then she jumped up into the air with fire and ice trailing her.
Odin was about to get an attack ready, when he felt something stop him. He looked to see both Ryuki's and Siren's monsters had latched onto him, seeming to form chains with their bodies to keep him suspended long enough for the last attack. As he looked up, not only was Siren Survive Plus coming down towards him… but so was Ryuki Survive. A fiery projection trailed after the female Rider, screaming with rage as she flew towards him. He could hear them both yelling as they sailed down towards him as their feet collided with his chest and then both sailed right THROUGH the Rider.
Ice seemed to form along with flames around the area as Siren landed and turned around. Energy sparked off of Odin's armor, the golden Rider grunting in pain as he started to turn towards Siren.
"The last Rider… is you…" Odin spoke before he blew up, falling back in defeat before nothing remained of the golden Rider.
"YOSHA~!" she cheered. Her Rider form then disappeared, alongside the projection of Ryuki. She then looked to the cathedral to see it was disappearing, revealing she was now in a forest near a river, "...thank you… Shinji. Just wait a bit longer. I promise I will bring you back.
At this point, she was approached by the cloaked figure, who was starting to distort a little bit.
"You have won, Kamen Rider Siren. As the winner, you have your wish. Tell me what you desire the most and I shall grant it, even if it's as dumb as beginning a new war."
Miho walked over to the figure and grabbed it by the neck, slamming him into the rock wall nearby the waterfall. Her hand seemed to sort of partially phase through the figure's neck, but she was still able to grasp it, with rage.
"This war… can burn in heck for all I care. You will give me back Shinji. I have gone through the depths of Hades and back to play in this little game, and I am tired of it! You will give Shinji back to me, or else I will find whatever realm your ghost is in and kill you until you do give him back! GOT IT?!" Miho shouted in pure anger, clearly not in the mood for any talking
"What about your sister? Wasn't she what you wanted to wish for?"
"I can cope with her death now, it doesn't matter as long as Kido Shinji is alive and back by my side!" Miho yelled, the figure seeming to look a little scared of her
The figure soon let out a small sigh, "Very well. ...take the three Survive Cards and focus on your wish. Revival will require you to be near the body. So I will send you back to where his form is laying so this may occur. Once the wish is granted, time will resume. The Mirror World and your Rider powers will most likely disappear as well. Say your farewells to your Contract Monster."
"If it gives me my boyfriend back… then I don't care what else I lose…"
The two monsters simply floated nearby before Miho disappeared. The two monsters teleported back into the Mirror World, which was starting to crumble a little. They quickly exchanged a nod and flew towards where Miho and Shinji would be...
She was now back at the hospital, which was still suspended in time. The woman stepped forward the lifeless form of her boyfriend before she exhaled a bit. Miho looked to the trio of Survive Cards, then gently placed them on Shinji's body. She closed her eyes and kept her focus on her wish. The text on the cards changed to read 'Wish', leaving her to sigh, still thinking as her mind seemingly ended up in a void with her thoughts, trying to center them.
Within her thoughts, she could briefly see her sister standing there and observing her. The girl, Rina, walked over as Miho couldn't help but sigh a little.
"I know it was meant for you, Onee-chan, but… I'm in love. And… I need him. I hope you're at least able to rest in peace knowing that your killer will never hurt anyone ever again…" Miho spoke.
Rina simply gave an understanding nod and smile, simply giving Miho a hug before her form began to float up into the heavens.
"Sayonara…" Miho told her as the vision of her sister disappeared from her mind and, in her place, were the memories and times she spent with Shinji. She just focused on those as much as she possibly could, smiling warmly at everything they did, illegal, legal, chaotic, calm, sad, happy, and as either themselves or as Kamen Rider. She even moved her hands by her legs gently to keep her focus on the memories of Shinji, "This entire conflict has been more than what I bargained for, but I know without a doubt in my mind, my heart, and my soul what I'm wishing for. I wish… for Kido Shinji to come back to life and to not die again until it's our time to pass on. Whether or not we remember the events that transpired over the last year with the Rider War, I don't know, but I hope we do. As long as we can grow old together, maybe start a family and be married. Just… bring him back to me. I need him above all else in this world…"
The vision soon gained the trio of Survive Cards, which seemed to combine into one golden bird that gave a soft caw at her, then flew away.
Once Miho opened her eyes again, the cards had disappeared from her hands and time was flowing. She looked to Shinji, who slowly started to wake up, feeling his warmth return to him as the young man started to open his eyes.
"Mi… Miho? I… huh…?" he spoke.
"I did it…" Miho whispered as tears of joy came to her eyes. She simply embraced Shinji, no matter how much pain he was in, and just smiled happily.
The doctors and other medical staff all stared in disbelief at the now alive again Shinji. They quickly got to work with tests and scans to see what they missed.
A few hours passed before Miho was finally allowed to see her boyfriend in his hospital room, the young man bandaged a little as she stepped in and stood next to him.
"You did it…" Shinji spoke.
"...we did. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to win."
"...was I… there? I… remember helping you…" Shinji admitted, clutching his head a little as he thought a bit.
"I don't know how, but the Survive Card allowed me to power up more and… I guess… it summoned your spirit to help me…" Miho speculated, "That's the best way I can explain it, anyway."
"Well… glad I could help you…" Shinji smiled.
She soon sat down next to him and then exhaled a little, trying her best to remain calm. It was clear to Shinji that she was very upset
"You ok…?"
"I have half a mind to slap you…" Miho told him, "Why did you do that?! You basically threw yourself off the building and you died! Do you know how traumatized I was by seeing your dying body?! Never do that again! Got it?!"
She got a nod in response, simply sighing as the two looked at each-other.
"Just… WHY?!"
"...like I said… I didn't have a wish. You did. I didn't see the need to fight you, and I couldn't even bring myself to do that. So… getting myself out of the way seemed smart at the time. And… I thought I was expendable. You could love someone else, it didn't matter as long as you were happy…" Shinji explained.
"...it is… taking all of my will right now… to not slap you senseless. You really didn't get how much you mean to me."
Shinji exhaled a bit, realizing what his actions did.
"I love you. You are the first person I've ever truly fallen in love with and not had it been an act. I may have not been the best person, but you changed me for the better, and I meant it. I don't want to be without you as long as it's possible. So… guess what? My wish now… is to remain by your side. You're my world… my heart… my… everything…"
Shinji stared in disbelief at this, not sure how to process this as she got closer to him, the two starting to hug it out and cuddled a bit.
"Never leave me again… got it?"
"Got it."
They smiled and kissed in response before they just held each other closely.
Once the two were alone that evening, they could see Dragreder and Blancwing, and in place of their reflections were their Rider forms. The two were just as confused and soon saw the images fading a bit.
"Eh?"
"Oh… uh… Kanzaki said that our time as Riders is over and our buddies here are going to go away for good…" Miho summarized as the Contract monsters nodded, "I guess they're giving us a final chance to say goodbye."
Blancwing gave off a soft coo towards Miho, simply nodding in confirmation, but it was clearly sad that they had to part.
"Goodbye, Blancwing. I'll miss you just as much as my family. ...if you end up in heaven and see my sister and my parents… can you tell them I said 'hi'?"
Blancwing just nodded and cooed once more to her.
Dragreder just looked at Shinji, the two having formed a mutual respect and bond with each-other.
"Hey… I know I wasn't the greatest partner in the world, but… you were an amazing partner and friend to me. I hope that we can at least part well."
The dragon stared at Shinji for a bit, then let out a small roar to indicate a farewell.
The two beasts soon poked out of the reflection, but instead of their natural sizes, they were more like minifigure statues. The two beasts chirps in high-pitched ways that seemed to indicate affection or love. Shinji and Miho both hugged them gently, the beasts giving their final noises. Soon, they faded into lights that matched their Rider suits, then gently floated into their decks. Then, the decks actually turned into lights that faded away. Shinji and Miho turned to their reflections and, instead of Kamen Rider Ryuki and Kamen Rider Siren, were simply their own reflections. Miho walked forward and gently put her hand in the window… only for it to stay solid.
"It's over…" she said.
"Finally… hopefully we'll get some peace…" Shinji exhaled.
"Thus, the Rider War has concluded with Kirishima-san as the winner, and her wish granted. This may seem like the ending, but… there's more time with these two that I wish to share. While Ryuki and Siren are not going to exist as Riders in this timeline, preventing potential future Rider interactions unless plucked from earlier in their histories, Kirishima and Kido have more life to live that I just find sweet."
Shinji smiled as he and Miho stepped back into their apartment together, a few weeks having passed before he was discharged from the hospital, and the two were soon able to settle back in.
"It's good to be home…" Shinji said aloud, finally taking a moment to sit and exhale.
"I pulled off some cons and one little heist while you were in the hospital, so we can keep this place," Miho told him, "Hopefully, we can use this to either plan some more cons that won't require the crazy Mirror World stuff, or perhaps, crazy as it sounds, find a real stable job that's actually legal."
"...who are you, and what have you done with my girlfriend?" Shinji asked.
Miho couldn't help but snicker a little at that, "Well, I think she was able to meet someone that told her that maybe an honest life will work out. It wasn't easy convincing her, but the person who did change my life. He's cute, kind, compassionate, loves photography, has this wonderful leg fetish…"
Shinji was about to speak, only to realize she was describing him. He chuckled a bit as he looked at her, "Well… I owe it to the lovely, radiant, goddess-like woman in front of me for giving me that fetish. Plus, she gave me the mental fortitude to be myself and made me realize I'm lucky to have gotten someone like her…"
Miho just gave him a kiss really quickly, Shinji blushing as he returned it to her. They parted after a bit, and he just smiled at her.
"Wanna get a little comfy?" Miho asked.
"Yeah."
Miho motioned for him to sit down next to her, which he complied with, then she gently moved him so that his head was against her lap. He smiled as he laid down, allowing her to gently stroke his head.
"Best pillow ever…" Shinji smiled.
"Even better than this?" Miho asked before she gently moved Shinji's head to rest at her bust, making him blush and smile as he felt it.
"Far better. This is still comfy, but nowhere near the tier that was…"
Miho just moved Shinji's head back to her lap, letting him smile and sigh happily.
"Thank you…" Shinji told her.
"No problem."
A couple of hours passed and the two remained like that, simply enjoying each other's company in peace and quiet.
"Miho? What's something you've always wanted to do? Just… completely honestly… something you want for the fun of it."
She blinked a bit at the question, leaving her surprised, especially seeing Shinji didn't seem to drop it easily.
"Humor me, at least."
"I guess… travel to Hawaii. As much as I liked the snow, I do prefer the warmth of beaches. Plus, I'd get to show off in a bikini for you if we could go to a beach," Miho admitted, "But, honestly, I just want to have a nice time in Hawaii. It just… sounds like fun, y'know?"
Shinji nodded, making a note of that as he rested alongside Miho.
It was now April 14th, and Miho's birthday had come up. Shinji had been hard at work to make sure it would be a special day.
"Still don't know why you didn't tell me your birthday last year…" Shinji spoke.
"I didn't think we'd still be together as a team, so I didn't think it would've mattered," Miho admitted, giggling a little nervously, "But… since we're a couple… when's your birthday?"
"May 28th."
"Good to know. I'll have a little over a month to plan yours," Miho noted.
The two arrived at a fancy dinner place and enjoyed some time together, then headed out to go window-shopping while enjoying time together.
They returned to the apartment and Miho smiled at the cake that Shinji had gotten her, as well as all of the presents he had managed to get.
"You're the best boyfriend ever," Miho told him with a smile, "How can I ever repay you?"
"Not sure…" Shinji admitted as he walked over with something.
"Shinji… you've already showered me with enough presents. I think you need to save your own yen and let me pay for things."
"I've got one last surprise for you…" Shinji informed as he got out tickets, "You said you wanted a trip to Hawaii? You're getting a trip to Hawaii."
Miho's jaw dropped, unable to believe that he pulled that off. She just gawked in amazement as Shinji handed her the ticket.
"Happy birthday."
"I have a lot of ground to cover for your birthday," Miho stated.
"Well hopefully you will make it special," Shinji responded with a bit of a shrug.
A week had passed before they were now in Hawaii and they settled into the rental home they would be staying in for the duration of their visit.
"It's so beautiful…" Miho smiled.
"Does it meet your expectations?" Shinji checked.
"It does. I really want to get a bikini and soak up some sun," Miho admitted, clinging to Shinji's arm as she looked at the clear sky.
"Then… go on and get one."
"I don't know… would you be able to handle that?" Miho asked in a teasing tone, rubbing her hand along her leg as she smiled.
"I've seen you without any clothes on. Multiple times. I'm pretty sure I can see you in whatever bikini you get."
"O~kay~."
After a while, the couple took a moment to head off to the beach. Shinji took a little bit to grab some photos of the area while Miho went to get into her bikini and find somewhere to set up her little beach day. Shinji smiled at the images he ended up taking before he looked around for her a bit. Once he found the beach, he just waited outside and then finally saw her. Shinji looked to see Miho in a bikini and just gawked at how beautiful she looked, his girlfriend posing by laying flat on the ground with her legs raised up. It was a two-piece that was black and had some gold highlights. His eyes quickly glued to her legs and how nice and toned they were. He even noticed her nails were painted white and silver. Miho gave off a sly smile as she waved her legs and feet in the air, knowing he'd be drawn to them like a moth to a flame. She gave off a quick wiggle of her toes, knowing he wouldn't be able to resist.
"Hi~," Miho said with a teasing grin, "Do you like what you see, Shinji?"
"Uh-huh…" he nodded, almost in a hypnotized tone, as he just kept staring.
Miho just happily giggled, using her foot to guide his eyes back to her face, "So… you were saying about being able to handle seeing me like this?"
"I… uh… admit… I was wrong…" Shinji eventually told her, "Very wrong… and frankly… I'm happy to be wrong."
"You're a perv… but you're my perv, so it's okay," Miho said with a smile, kissing him on the cheek, "Also, feel free to take as many pictures of me as you want. I'm more than willing to pose for you. Least I can do for you funding this trip for us."
"Fair point. Now why don't we relax a bit?"
Miho smiled and motioned for Shinji to sit next to her, which he was quick to comply with and just soaked in the atmosphere from the beautiful beach. It was a crystal clear and beautiful day, with both of them admiring the waves and clouds. While Shinji's eyes wandered towards his girlfriend, and specifically her legs as time went on, but she got his attention back to the environment.
Some hours had passed and Shinji was soon snapping some photos of Miho and allowing her to get a tan. She just smiled as he snapped some photos, the two then taking a look at some of what he got. While there were some shots that were of Hawaii's landscape and of some tourist destinations, there were more than half of the photos taken that day that were just of Miho in some way or another.
Still, Miho had a moment or two where she took pictures of Shinji as he was relaxing, and they took a moment to look the photos over as the sun was setting.
"Very nice stuff. The landscape ones are amazing," Miho told her boyfriend, "And the ones of me are also nice, but I noticed you zoomed in very close in on some of my features."
Shinji meekly laughed, nervously scratching the back of his head before a thought occurred to him.
"Has anyone ever told you that you have a kind of mesmerizing quality to you?" Shinji ended up asking.
"Why do you think I went with 'Siren'?" Miho responded, making Shinji blink a bit, "The idiot in charge said my name was 'Kamen Rider Femme', but I went with 'Siren' instead. I mean, come on. Femme is way too on the nose."
"It's French, right?"
"Yes. I mean, it's nice and all, but 'Siren' worked better."
Shinji gave a small nod simply agreeing with her before something came to mind, "...I once had this dream… this dark version of myself came from another world and tried to hurt you… even tried to kill you. Think he called himself Onyx or something…"
Miho soon gave Shinji a hug, comforting him as best as she could, "Let's… try not to think about that war anymore. It's over. We can finally be just us, regardless of where we are. We can be happy. No more fighting. We can just… do what makes us happy."
Shinji just smiled, nodded and returned the hug for a bit. They both smiled, then exhaled as they watched the sun set a bit. Shinji then put his camera on a timer and the two quickly got into position for one more shot and posed side by side, then had a nice kiss on the lips.
Some days passed and the two had ended up finding a secluded beach that was also at the base of a waterfall, the two of them smiling as they had a few photos and then did some high dives from near the top of the waterfall.
"I love Hawaii…" Miho smiled, "Part of me really wants to just… stay here… y'know?"
"Yea. It feels amazing and I would love to be here a while longer," Shinji admitted.
"Just a thought…" Miho responded as they got out of the water, "...nobody else here, huh?"
"Yeah. Just the two of us. We can do… anything we want…" Shinji spoked as his eyes quickly fell on his girlfriend's body, blushing brightly before he patted her on her thighs.
"Perv," Miho teasingly spoke, but she just smiled happily at him, "I love you."
"Love you too. Couldn't help it since we're all alone," Shinji explained, Miho just giggling as she ended up getting closer to him, her legs brushing up against his hands, "You're just… the queen or goddess of my heart. I would follow you to the ends of the Earth and beyond it and whatever else lies out there."
"You're such a sweet talker. I can't believe I managed to get someone like you to stay around me. You're the kindest, strongest, and handsomest man I ever met, and I'm glad we're a couple."
The two just stared at each-other, then happily laughed a little together. They took a moment to soak up the sun's rays again as they just relaxed a little together. Miho eventually looked over to a bag she had brought with her, deciding to get up and walked over to it, reaching in to pull something out. She kept it hidden behind her, stepping back towards her boyfriend.
"Hey… Shinji? I wanted to ask you something…" Miho eventually spoke up, getting his attention again as he looked at her, "...I'm… really happy and grateful you're in my life. I wouldn't trade you for anything out there. And… I want to make sure that we can stay together, no matter what."
Shinji looked happy, but was a bit confused on what she was starting to get it.
"You… make me happy. You've made me a better person, and without you, I… don't know where I would be. I don't know what I've done to get you in my life, but I won't let you go no matter what happens. I won't even let death keep you if I can help it. With that being said, I also don't want anyone else taking you from me, so just as a precaution… I'm going to ask you something."
"Okay…?"
"I know, ordinarily, this position would be the other way around…" Miho continued, revealing a small black box that she opened to reveal a golden ring that had a red and white jewel, and the inside of the ring said 'R+S', "...before you ask why I went with our Rider names… our first names in English as letters is something that I don't want to think about, and our last names start with the same letter. This was the best I could think of."
Shinji was silent for a bit, stunned at what Miho did before she cleared her throat a bit.
"Would you marry me?" Miho soon asked.
Shinji stared a little bit in shock and surprise, simply nodding when he got his bearings and smiling at his girlfriend, "I'd love to marry you. It would be an honor."
Miho smiled and took the ring out to place onto Shinji's ring finger, which made him look a bit surprised at how it fit well.
"May I ask how you got the ring the right size?"
"One of the last cons I pulled before we left Japan got me a ring maker to owe me a favor. I know it's not typical for the man to wear the ring with the gem on it, but I felt that our relationship is kind of unique. So with that said, hope you don't mind a slight role reversal with this."
"I'm fine with it. As long as we get to be married and be happy."
The two smiled a bit and then happily kissed, Miho lifting her right leg up to Shinji's waist so he could move his hands along it. Shinji happily did so, caressing it while they kissed.
After returning to their hotel room and having a bit of an intimate encounter to celebrate their engagement, the two were staring up at the ceiling. They smiled, a little exhausted from the bit of fun they had and the day outside they had. Shinji just glanced at Miho, seeing she just wrapped herself up in the covers to at least be somewhat decent, taking a deep breath for herself as the reality of their engagement settled in a bit
"I'm so happy we're gonna be married…" Miho admitted.
"Honestly… I never thought I would ever be married. People all around me said I would be a loser who'd never amount to anything and I'd die sad and alone. I didn't want to think that at the time, but people were saying that to me. Now, I got one of the most beautiful women in the world to be my wife and I got her to ask me. This is completely a dream come true."
"Maybe send the people from your hometown some photos of us at the wedding party just to mock them for saying that," Miho suggested with a bit of an evil smile on her face.
"That might be the biggest slap in the face for them!"
The two laughed a bit, clearly amused by the idea for a bit. They soon just looked at each-other with happy smiles as they embraced a little. They parted after a bit, then some quiet came over the two. They just thought a little as various things about their wedding came to mind...
"I know it's untraditional, but… I kind of want you to take my last name," Miho told him.
"Really?"
"Yeah. 'Kirishima Shinji' has a nice ring to it."
"So does 'Kido Miho'."
The two stared at each-other a little bit, both thinking a little before Miho soon got a sly smile as she slipped out her legs and lowered the covers to show off her legs and feet to Shinji. He stared a little before she got her legs on his bare chest and her feet near his face, her toes wiggling as if to tickle him a bit. He blushed wildly as his now-fianceé did this to him, tickling his fetish and leaving him with no room to possibly ignore.
"I can do this a lot more…" she spoke in a seductive tone, "Whether or not you do pick my last name… but I can take it a step beyond if you choose mine…"
"...okay, I'll go with your last name," Shinji responded.
"I knew you'd see it my way," she grinned, giving off an almost evil giggle at her handiwork, "Hope you enjoy being Kirishima Shinji in the future. As for what I can do beyond this…?"
She lowered her legs and feet, then whispered stuff into Shinji's ears that got him blushing. The two just smiled a bit, kissing together and just being happy.
It was now June of 2003, and Shinji was already standing by the altar, waiting a bit. His outfit was fairly traditional for a wedding, with a few specks of red and a small image of a dragon as a lapel among other things, but his tie was a nice shade of red with a few silver highlights. He simply waited a bit, starting to tap his foot and exhale a bit. He then heard the organ start being played, looking down as Miho walked down the aisle with a smile. Her wedding dress was a beautiful shade of white that had many fake swan feathers along it, yet it was also a revealing dress as a bit of her cleavage was exposed and her legs were completely visible. While unconventional, it was clear that that both she and Shinji were happy with it.
"Hi," she said with a smiled.
"Hey," he spoke, returning the smile.
"You look outstanding. Tux looks great."
"You look divine. A true goddess on Earth."
Miho giggled just a little before the two turned their focus to the wedding. They went through the steps in calmness, simply eyeing each other with smiles as the 'priest' spoke the typical message, and the two soon reached the point with the vows.
"Kirishima Miho, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband from this day forward, for as long as you both shall live?" the speaker inquired of her.
"I do, with all of my heart," Miho wholeheartedly confirmed.
"Kido Shinji, do you in turn take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife from this day forward to love and cherish, through thick and thin, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do, and I will never doubt it for as long as I live," Shinji nodded.
With this, rings were exchanged, and they locked eyes happily.
"I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride," the speaker announced.
The two happily kissed each-other, filled with as much passion and heart as they could muster. They didn't care if people thought they were different or odd for their marriage and they didn't care what anyone else thought. All that mattered to them was each-other.
"I now present, Mrs. and Mr. Kirishima!"
With that, Miho and Shinji smiled as they parted, the bride smiling as they walked to the front of the area with her husband, Miho tossing the bouquet as some girls tried to grab it in a rabbid frenzy.
"...never thought I'd ever be the one tossing it…" Miho admitted.
"Well… now you have. Come on, we're going to be late for our own reception," Shinji reminded.
As they walked along, they looked at a stain-glassed window in the area, and could almost see their Contract Monsters watching as if they were ghosts...
A few months passed and the two ended up settling in Hawaii. It was a fairly small, yet beautiful beach house, overlooking the shoreline with some nice palm trees and a small lush garden near the front with some lovely plants.
Miho was simply relaxing on the inside, brushing her hair for a bit before looking out to the sea with a smile, barefoot, and happy, "Best choice we've ever made…"
She soon heard someone walking up, looking over to the door as Shinji walked in.
"Tadaima~!" Shinji declared.
"Okaeri," Miho told her husband as he walked over to her, "How was your photography work?"
"Pretty good. I managed to get quite the big pay from some of my latest photos. Plus, that issue of that swimwear magazine I got hired to do the photos for netted me some nice cash. Not as much as when we did before, but an honest living is an honest living. I may miss those days, but at least I still get to do stuff that makes me happy..." Shinji told her before his eyes wandered a little, looking down to her legs and her feet, simply blushing and smiling a bit.
"I figured you were having a good day," Miho remarked, having a bit of a coy smile on her face, "See something you like?"
"You're beautiful…"
Miho softly giggled as she showed off her bare feet for him, wiggling her toes and ensuring he would stare a bit, "So… what do you think was the best choice since we moved here? Was it being able to start with no cons or robberies to our names, being able to go swimming whenever we wanted with our own private beach to ourselves, being able to work on your own schedule so you can do what you want when you want, or me deciding to go barefoot all the time and keep wearing short things to show off my legs?"
"I'm not sure, but if I had to pick, I guess that last one…" Shinji said with a blush, his eyes not being able to turn away from her, to which Miho just giggled again and kept showing off, "So beautiful."
"Care to tend to them a bit?" Miho offered, lifting her feet up and wiggling her toes before Shinji nodded, walking over to her and starting to massage her legs and feet, his wife smiling as he did so and relaxing happily.
"I wouldn't trade my life with you for anything…" Shinji told her, making sure that he gave her an honest and sincere smile.
"Wouldn't trade my life with you for anything either," Miho told him.
The duo stood side by side, just watching the setting sun, cuddling next to each other and enjoying the evening together. They soon kissed each other, smiling as they looked into each other's eyes. They split their kiss apart and stayed close together.
"I love you so much," Shinji told her.
"I love you too…" Miho smiled happily.
The scene, finally, returned to Ao Woz as he closed the book, the narrator simply smiling as he closed the book. He turned towards it for a bit, "This wasn't the happiest of endings as many people who died in the war stayed dead but... I view it as a bittersweet story with love being a key component. Not every Rider story requires that component, but this alternate possibility allows Kido-san a happy ending that no other version ever got."
He held the book in his hands for a little while, smiling before showing the book in question was arguably the thickest compared to the other Ryuki books he had, which made him nervously chuckle.
"I am aware this story was… long…" Ao Woz admitted, "But frankly, this was one of the more… comprehensive stories I have found details for, with many things deviating from the original events you may know. And while each of these Riders have many tales, the alternate takes for Ryuki are unique. They actually have some form of finality to it, with each take having a definitive conclusion to them. But the main story of the Rider War from the mirrors?"
He soon set the thicker book down before he plucked the main Ryuki book off of the shelf and opened it up to reveal… it had no ending. There were pages that implied there should be one, yet the pages were completely and utterly devoid of anything. It did have some pages fall out, revealing the alternate endings and even some of the events of the war in the era of Zi-O.
"The tale of this dragon Rider is one with many endings you can choose to fill however you like. The beauty of the original Ryuki depicts these tales as possibilities that may or may not have happened. Though some people may prefer having some solace knowing of the final reset. It's just what happens when you have such an open-ended tale, and are given the chance to give it… another possibility," he smiled, setting the book back as he walked around the area a little, "Yet… there begs that constant question. ...how the heck does Kido-san keep reappearing in the future if his story was wiped out? Maybe he was plucked from earlier in the timeline? Maybe it was from a future where Riders kept their powers regardless of the war? Or maybe a Kido-san from another possibility that somehow slips into the main world. We may never know…"
With that, Ao Woz sat down and poured himself a cup of tea to relax a bit. He smiled as the camera seemed to zoom out to the mirrors as he just enjoyed a moment of peace and quiet.
*KKD let out an exhale as he saw how long the chapter was, then just fell over backwards as he realized how much he had to work on.*
Pikatwig: Sorry…
KKD: It's ok. I should've known this would happen somehow.
Pikatwig: This chapter was as long as it was, and we basically made three of the Riders in the war basically not characters with how minimally they were there.
KKD: No joke. *sits up*
Pikatwig: So… a lotta behind the scenes ground to cover. I guess let's start with Mizuoka. This was the guy who we saw Miho conning in Episode Final. He actually never had a name in canon, but a paper that was shown in an establishing shot mentioned the names "Kazuo Mizuoka" and "Takuma Saeki". Considering he was a con guy in the movie, we never find out what it actually is, so we just mashed them together. I thought of having him be Abyss in place of Ryuga so that we could just avoid figuring out what the heck we were going to make Ryuga be in this reality. Plus, having a reversal of how she wants revenge on Asakura, someone wants revenge against her. …kind of ended up working out with the name "Mizuoka" since… aquatic theme and 'mizu' is water.
KKD: It works for all intents and purposes, plus while he was a Decade-Original Rider, I found it cool to work him into the narrative of the Ryuki story.
Pikatwig: Yeah. So… onto Jun and how he acted. It was pretty much taken from how he acted in the Rider Time Ryuki special, and was sort of another dose of karma for that version of the character. If it in any way was upsetting, then we do apologize for that.
KKD: Again, this was taking things from the perspective of 2002-2003, when LGBTQ+ communities were not seen in such high regards as they are now. Plus, while we respect views, we personally don't like writing certain relationship styles.
Hinata: Let's move on before you two end up in hot water.
KKD: Right.
Pikatwig: As for Goro and Yuichi being here instead of Kitaoka and Miyuki… former was for a twist, and the latter was just because I thought it would be cool.
KKD: We didn't focus on them as much, but it was a clever idea regardless. Plus, this is an alternate reality. We can get away with stuff like this.
Pikatwig: And that fact Ao Woz mentioned about Yuichi being a "Kamen Rider Blade" is true. It was in a concept art book or something along those lines, but we saw the Rider he was intended to be.
KKD: Huh. Ok.
Pikatwig: As for Verde? Him getting to work alongside Ren was KKD's idea, and I thought it would work out. And his name was partially derived from the Japanese word for "police" since he is a cop and stuff. Thought it was clever.
KKD: It's amazing what you can do with a little inspiration with names, and twisting canon for a good story.
Pikatwig: Even if, in the long run, basically the only important ones were Shinji, Miho, and Kanzaki to a lesser extent. And, in case you're wondering, I was sort of pulling how we don't actually know if it was Kanzaki in Rider Time Ryuki. We only have the implication it's him because of the VA having voiced Odin in other projects, and him saying "Yui" before disappearing.
KKD: Eh. It works for what we've got.
Pikatwig: And, as Miho mentioned in the chapter, "Kamen Rider Femme" is a bit on the nose. "Siren" works a lot better for her and how she generally acted.
KKD: True, and yes, we did take inspirations from the American adaptation, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, for that.
Pikatwig: There were some small nods here and there that I hope fans of both will enjoy.
KKD: Hope you liked that stuff.
Pikatwig: Though, I will say, the story flowed in a fair bit more of an optimistic direction than I was thinking it would. In my head, the What If…? episode that was the sort of inspiration was the one where Tony was rescued from the explosive by… uh… what was his name again?
KKD: Eric Killmonger?
Pikatwig: Right. Him. Part of me was thinking we'd lean a bit more into the "siren" aspect and have Miho be a little more manipulative and stuff, maybe even have some kind of like a "Trance Vent" card or something to that effect, yet that ended up not panning out.
KKD: First I'm hearing of this bit.
Pikatwig: I honestly think how things worked out better for that since, at least to me, it makes the ending with her fighting for Shinji to be brought back a bit more earnest and happy. Does that make sense?
KKD: I think so.
Pikatwig: I will say… I had fun writing their relationship and how it blossomed. I did watch a bit of Episode Final for a little bit of reference about Miho, and the relationship sort of just… happened… in the movie, and Shinji sort of netted a date with her because Miho mistook Ryuga for him for some reason…
KKD: Oops.
Pikatwig: Still, they had cute moments in the movie… which… may or may not be canon since stuff in the main timeline have referenced that, such as Asakura referencing Miho when he returned in Ex-Aid and how they got Mirror Shinji back as Kaijin Ryuga in Zi-O…
KKD: It's still confusing to know which ending is canon, but… yea.
Pikatwig: Back to the point… I just like that we saw their relationship evolve and grow with time. It was honestly fun to write.
KKD: It's funny how things changed the way they did. Cute, but funny.
Pikatwig: Also, the bit with Shinji ending up getting a fetish… that wasn't really planned. It just sort of… happened. …like a lot of this chapter did, in all honesty. I forget which one of us wrote that, being honest.
KKD: *shrugs* I think that may have been you, but whatever.
Pikatwig: I think it was you actually… but, whatever. Not important.
KKD: Moving on.
Hinata: Any other behind the scenes elements?
Pikatwig: A scene I was debating including, but got the axe because of length, was a scene with Shinji walking through Hawaii, bumping into this guy, apologizing, and seeing his name was Kit Taylor. Just a little nod to Dragon Knight, but the length proved to be a bit of an issue.
KKD: Yea, I mean, we're about 100+ pages as is, so it is appropriate to change things like that.
Pikatwig: More of something funny to me… but… there was a point as we were writing this where I honestly forgot Yui even existed. Just, totally honestly, I blanked on her for a bit. It's funny given she's the entire reason the Rider War occurs.
KKD: Oops.
Pikatwig: And I also forgot about the Alternatives, hence why they only got a passing mention. Fun fact about the counterpart in Dragon Knight, his counterpart was played by the host of Iron Chef America. When I saw that for the first time, I just broke out laughing.
KKD: That is funny to think about, but again, whoops. Still, Alternatives were a minor filler plot more than anything, so I get why we forgot.
Pikatwig: And a funny side note… as we were working on this, an actor from Dragon Knight went and posted an image of him and Dragon Knight's actor to Twitter. Just something funny that timed out well.
KKD: Wow.
Pikatwig: You know… Dragon Knight's actor said he'd love to be in an anniversary special. Wonder if they'll ever do something with that. Even if just have him cameo somewhere.
KKD: I highly doubt that with how Toei seems adamant that the show won't do well in America. Ironic given how many Americans actually love the series.
Pikatwig: So… length aside… what did you think of this chapter?
KKD: I thought it was a nice take. I do know where you were planning to go with the story at first, but I never was a fan of the more somber endings of What If…? I can understand when they are needed, but it just didn't fit this one.
Pikatwig: Same, and I think how it worked out in the end was overall better.
KKD: Very much so. As for my favorite part? That's a tough one, but I think the debuts of Siren Survive and her battling Odin to get her wish granted, and the lead up to Shinji's revival was all very nicely done in my eyes.
Pikatwig: Personally, I like the banter that ended up playing out between Shinji and Miho. Something about it was really cute and fun to work on. And, I'll say, the scene with their wedding was also nice. As was Miho's Survive form. That was fun to work on.
KKD: True. And it's good that there's a bit of a happy ending for Shinji. He really deserves it after all the crap he went through.
Hinata: It is nice to see Shinji "Get in the dang Rider War" Kido get his happy ending, even if it's another world completely.
KKD: ...was that meant as a nod to "Get in the EVA, Shinji"?
Hinata: Yeah.
KKD: Alright then…
Pikatwig: I would like to point out… the first chapter was 16 pages on Google Docs. ...this one is at least 100.
KKD: *sighs* Well, we got so invested and we had way more understanding of what to work with in terms of Heisei over any of the Showa content which were more cliffnotes.
Hinata: True.
KKD: Anyway, that's all for now, and I hope you enjoyed this one. *salutes* Jaa ne.
Pikatwig: Just Live More.
