Chapter 5

Life Unexpected/ Gilmore Girls

11:40 p.m

Lux

When we got back to Hartford I went by Jones house to see him for a little bit and give him he gift I had gotten for him, while we were in his bed he turned and looked at me "Lux I love you and I know that we are still young but will you marry me?" my jaw dropped "Yes!" we kissed and then I had to leave to visit Baze.

When I got to Baze's bar I saw Jamie and he told me that Baze had just left but I was welcome to cut the Limes for him so I did, that was until a guy walked in asking for a sheep dog ale so I gave it to him.

An hour later he was drinking his beer and we were playing darts and I was telling him that I had never seen the ocean and then he saw my engagement ring and I told him that I wasn't sure about getting married, "I can take you to the ocean if you like so I said yes and we took off.

Half way to the ocean his truck broke down and we were stranded and waiting for someone to bring us gas, after a while I was convinced that they weren't coming back and then he pointed out an ocean billboard and we climbed it, and then he kissed me, after we pulled apart the car brought the gas to us so we went back to Hartford.

Eric had dropped me off at Cate's so I took a shower and when I got out I had a bunch of missed calls from Cate and Baze so I tried calling them but they didn't answer so I called Math and he told me that the bar had burned down and Baze thought that I was in the apartment so he ran into the burning bar.

I put my jacket on a took off to the hospital, when I got there everyone was in the waiting room "how is he?" Math walked up to me "he is okay he burned his arm," Cate looked at me "where were you?" I was at Baze's then I woke up early and went to see Jones but he wasn't there so I went back home and then I got the calls."

A week Later

Rory

My mom and I got in late last night and then we tried to get back to our regular sleep schedule back and it was going okay, Lux and I had plans to meet up for lunch so I drove to Hartford and met Lux at a little bistro, when I got there we hugged and she asked me about Europe.

While I was talking I looked down and I saw a ring on her finger "um Lux what is on your finger?" she looked down and saw the ring "oh yeah Jones asked me to marry him after high school but I'm not sure if I want to get married and last week I was at the bar and a guy walked in and we went to see the ocean and then we kissed."

I was surprised "so you got in a vehicle with a guy you don't really no and then you and him kiss what about Jones?" I looked down "I need to tell him that we are too young to get engaged."

We finished our food and Rory had to go and get things that she would need for Yale, after Rory left Cate came by and we went back to school shopping and I got some new clothes.

Rory

when I got home from getting things I would need for Yale when I opened my mail and saw that it was from Yale "MOM I got the date wrong!" I walked into the living room with the letter from Yale "I have to be there on Saturday!" so the next day the rushed and got the rest of the things Rory would need.

Lux

On Saturday I had asked Jones to meet me so that we could talked about the question that had asked me a couple of weeks ago, when he walked into the Cafe he smiled at me "so you said you wanted to talk?" I looked at Jones "well I was thinking about the question that you asked me the other day!" he smiled at me "I think that we are to young to be talking about marriage!"

His smile vanished "what do you mean?" I took the ring off " we are still young to be thinking about marriage," Jones looked at me " so what you are saying is you don't want to marry me?" I looked at him "I'm not saying that," Jones looked offended " we should take a break from each other."

I was shocked and I got up and went home, I had wanted to call Rory and talk to her but she was moving to Yale today so I went to hang out with Baze and Math.

On Monday morning I was walking to my first class of the day when I saw Eric standing near a classroom door "I knew that fake ID was a fake," he looked at me "so I see that you met Mr. Daniels your new English teacher," both of our faces were shocked.

I had Mr. Daniels 8th period when I walked in we looked at each other and then I went to sit down and then Jones walked in, the only seat available was right behind me, at one point Mr. Daniels was walking around the room and he stopped at my desk and looked at my finger and he must have noticed that I wasn't wearing my engagement ring.

Rory

My first couple of days at Yale were interesting I ended up getting Paris Geller for a roommate, it was comforting to know at least one person at Yale, one day when I got home from class I had noticed that my grand mother decorated my dorm room.
