Goodbye, Jack
By Sirius Darkpen
"I'm going out, Honey. I'll see you later." Said Jack Twist "Bye, be home for dinner." Said Lureen who was on the phone. Jack walked out and headed for the car. He started to wonder if he would see Ennis Del Mar again. To feel his skin pressed against his, to see that perfect smile when he laughed, he would kill and sell his soul to see him again. He hoped he would forgive him. He started the engine and started to drive out to the country. He wondered what life would be like if it was just Ennis and him at a remote house or farm on Brokeback.
He arrived at the post-office in town, found a proper postcard and wrote a nice message to the address of Ennis Del Mar with a nice lovely smile as he thought about him. It got to a point when he could not stop fantasizing about him. After he paid for the postcard and mailed it, he walked to the local bar and ordered a beer. Until, a stranger started to make conversation and for an hour he talked with him then he invited jack to come with him to the farm he has. Now, jack thought is this guys just a friend or was he looking for more. So they headed up to the farm until they stopped in the middle of nowhere. Then, another stranger hurled him out of the car and starts whacking him with a tire iron. The stranger who picked him up at the bar stepped out of the car and walked with another guy towards him and they join in. Jack was of two minds at this point, one was thinking "do they know?" and the other said "will I die?" They were beating him everywhere from his skull to his leg. Moments of his life were flashing in front of him. He was coughing blood. Until, they stopped and spitted on him. They jumped into the truck and drove away. As he lay there dying, bleeding to death, looking into the nice blue sky. He thought even though he was going to die, his love for Ennis was a chain that can't and would never be broken. Everything was going black but all he could think about was Ennis and his skin pressing against his, his smile………..
