Anyways, onto the chapter!

Jay POV

All of the ninja, plus Clarissa and I, sat in the room with the biggest TV, awaiting Dolion's communication. I fidgeted with his hands nervously, not sure what Dolion was going to say.

There was much debate about what they should do, he was a bad guy, but perhaps he wanted to make peace? Kai and Cole were completely against the idea of talking with him, to be honest, so was I, but I didn't say anything. We were overruled, Zane thought that we better know what he wanted. Apparently communication with villains was normal? Everyone else agreed with Zane.

Thus, we were all waiting for Dolion to pick up the communication he sent him in anticipation. (wait, since when did I consider myself as one of them? Strange.).

Zane pressed a couple of buttons on the computer, and the screen came to life, revealing Dolion's cold, evil face. I felt myself flinch, and Nya wrapped her arm around me. I glanced at Clarissa, whose eyes stared at Dolion with hatred.

"Dolion, we were surprised you wanted to chat." Sensei Wu stated, and Dolion smirked.

"To be honest, so was I. Until, I realized, that some of my former students may have spread lies about me and my intentions."

"They weren't lies!" Nya said, springing up from her chair, but Dolion didn't falter.

"Crystal and Lightning are...mentally unstable, clearly. In their right mind they wouldn't have come to you."

"You're the mentally unstable one, Dolion!" Kai said, but he only laughed.

"Oh, Kai. I've always wanted your fire. It's a shame you decided to join Wu, you would have been a valuable asset to my team.

"Your team of criminals? Trying to take over Ninjago? No thanks." He spat back, "We know everything, Jay and Clarissa told us. They also told us how you treated them like crap, especially Jay.

"Lightning needed to be punished, no questions asked." Dolion said, and Nya's face went a shade darker.

"Why, you littleー"

"Surely there is another reason for your call." Sensei Wu interrupted, giving Nya a calm down sort of look. She huffed, but sat down beside me, which I was very thankful for. Just seeing his face again...I was scared.

I blinked, and saw myself in the dark, felt the chains on my limbs, the soreness in my throat from the lack of water. It hurt so bad please help let me go don't leave me here...

"Jay?" Nya whispered, and I jumped back to reality, giving a shaky smile. She looked at me in concern, but focused once again at the evil mastermind we were talking to.

"I have an offer. Return Lightning to me, and I will spare all of your lives when I take over Ninjago."

It felt as if my heart stopped. He wanted me back. I couldn't go back there! He wouldn't kill me, he would torture me, and that was so muh worse.

But, did I really have a choice? It's my life for all of theirs, it's not a question that needed to be thought about. Even if I weren't a weak, pathetic ninja, it was one life gone versus seven others.

Yup, I was as good as dead.

"Are you kidding? Absolutely not!" Cole said, and I looked at him in shock. Maybe the decision wasn't as clear as night and day…?

"He's one of us now, you can't take him like that, no matter what offer you throw at us!" Lloyd chimed in, and Dolion frowned. I felt a smile tug at my lips. I was wrong, they do seem to care about me.

"Besides, Doion, we will beat you." Zane said, confidence written on his face. Dolion stared each and every one of us in the eye through the screen, but to me it felt like a knife in the heart.

"You'll regret this decision, trust me, you will." Dolion glanced back to me, his eyes filled with hatred. He gave me a creepy, knowing smile, and shut off the feed abruptly.

The pressure in the room lifted, and I looked to my shoes, trying to get his smile out of my head. It was as if he knew something, something I didn't. Did...did he have a plan?

" Jay, he's not going to get to you. Ever. You're one of us now." Cole said, seeing my worry. All I could do was nod. But it still didn't feel right.

Dolion was up to something. If only I knew what.
