Me: says I'm going to update soon. Also me: publishes the next chapter a month later.

I am SO sorry….I think I have a bit of explaining to do….

So, I've recently lost the passion and excitement for writing Ninjago fanfiction, and I've been writing more of my other fandom The Flash.

For those of you who follow me, you know this, as you likely receive emails for my other fandom more than Ninjago now.

So, I'm going to say that once this story is complete, I will likely not be posting anymore Ninjago stories.

But, with that said, I WILL FINISH THIS STORY! It will be a bit harder, and the updates may not be frequent, but I am dead set on finishing this story; my goal when I started Fanfiction was to leave no story incomplete, and that includes this one.

Now, let's get onto the chapter!

Jay POV

I woke up on my bed, the bright sunlight coming from the window seemingly blinding my eyes. I groaned and swung my feet out of the bed, rubbing my eyes.

That was undoubtedly the best sleep that I'd ever had, I wondered why I was so tired…

Then the memories hit me. Lloyd getting hurt. Kai missing. My freak out.

Anger boiled up inside of me. They sedated me? Sure, it was for the right reasons, but it still hurt…

I got up from my bed, and tried the door. Locked. Going over to the window, I found that it had been locked as well.

Surly they could've put me in a cell, why wouldn't they? Being locked in my room was essentially the same thing…

But, then I started thinking. Maybe they wanted to make me feel comfortable, so that they could bend me to their will. That made sense.

I was about to shoulder-check the door when Nya walked through, a plate of food in hand.

"Hey, Jay." she said, giving a bright smile. "Are you hungry?"

"Oh, really, you're trying to be nice to me now?" I responded, venom in my tone. Her smile dropped off of her face.

"Jay, I'm sorry, I really am, but you can't exchange your life for Kai's. We're going to keep you here until we know that you won't."

"You know, Dolion was right.' I said, approaching Nya. "You guys are liars. You told me I could be the hero, that I could be a good guy, but as soon as I have that opportunity you lock me up!" I could feel the tears burn behind my eyes, but I willed them to go away.

"Jay, look, it's what's best一"

"I trusted you, Nya! I trusted you and look where it got me!" I exclaimed, pushing her out of the way.

I bolted for the door, the door which Nya luckily left open, and burst into the living room, where Zane was waiting, forming ice in his palm.

"Jay, please calm down!" He said, his robotic voice sounding distressed. I ignored it.

"And you! You sacrificed your life for Ninjago! How is this any different!"

"Because it is not the only way we can get Kai back." Zane responded, holding his other hand out in peace. "When I fought the Overlord, we had no other option. We have other options now."

"Jay, listen to us." Cole said, coming up beside me. "We are a team of trained Ninja. Saving people is what we do. We will save Kai, and we'll do it our way. There's no need to jump to the most dangerous option before trying safer ones."

I could feel the tears fall down my cheeks, and I wiped them away, shaking. I knew that they were right.

"I just want to be useful." I said softly, and Nya wrapped me in a hug.

"You are, Jay. more useful than you know."

I took a deep breath in, composing myself.

"So, do we have a plan?"

Cole led them to the computer.

"Yes and no. Clarissa, Lloyd, and Wu are trying to find Kai by looking in all of Dolion's hideouts and buildings. When they find Kai, they're going to notify us and we'll meet them there. Hopefully Dolion and his team won't notice them."

"Hopefully." I said, sitting down. Suddenly, I remembered something.

"Wait, wasn't Lloyd hurt? What's he doing in the mission field?"

Zane gave me a smile. "He got a minor concussion, nothing serious. And, we need everyone on board if we want to take down Dolion and his team. Lloyd was more than willing to help."

A loud blaring noise filled the room, and Cole read the notification that popped up on the screen.

"They found them, but only Light and Kai are there. They're going in themselves, I guess."

"That seems risky." Nya said, but Zane placed a hand on her shoulder.

"It does, but we must trust Wu. If he thinks this is the right course of action, it likely is."

"What should I tell them?" Cole asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.

"Tell them that we will await further instructions." Zane responded, and Cole typed it in, clicking send.

"Now we wait, I guess?" I asked, nervous. Nya nodded.

"One of the first rules you must learn as a Ninja, Jay, is that patience is key."

I nodded, a small smile forming on my lips.

"Lesson learned."

Clarissa POV

I confidently walked through the house where I had trained and learned how to use my abilities, awaiting Light to make an appearance. But to me it was only a house, it was never my true home.

Wu had told me that we would take down Light, my own brother, and force him to talk. Once Kai was free, we would use the information given to us and find the rest of Dolion's team, calling our own Ninja for backup.

I didn't mind fighting my brother, after all, he had stabbed me in the shoulder.

I was hoping that Kai and I would have a bit of time to bring this house to the ground. I would love to see this place with crystal piercing through its walls, with hot fire licking at the furniture….

"Hey, sister. You joined the enemy I see." A venomous voice said behind me, and I turned around.

"Hey, Colton. Good to see you again." I said with a smile, and he frowned.

"My name is Light." He responded, his voice portraying his anger.

"Well, I guess your name doesn't reflect your personality too well, does it? You're filled with darkness." I gave a sharp laugh. 'I would offer you a chance to be good, but I know you won't accept it."

"Why would I join your band of 'heroes'? They're going to betray you eventually."

I could see Lloyd and Sensei Wu quietly come up behind Light, and I continued to talk.

"And you think Dolion won't? As soon as Lightning disobeyed he was locked up!"

"Lightning is weak and cowardly. He doesn't deserve the prizes that Dolion promises us. Now, you don't deserve them either!" Light shouted, and he shot a ball of light at my head.

Quickly, I made a wall of clear crystal between me and the light, making the blast reflect back to my brother, who dodged effortlessly away.

"Nice trick."

"I thought it would be cool to see the Master of Light be defeated by the true light." I said, surrounding his feet with crystal shards. Light jumped up and out, only to be hit back to the ground by a green ball of energy.

"Or, be defeated by a green light." Lloyd said with a confident laugh, grabbing Light's pale grey suit, lifting him up.

"You're going to answer some of our questions, got that?" Lloyd said, and Light gave a laugh.

"Like I'll ever tell you anything."

"We don't need him." Kai said, walking up beside me.

His face was pale, as if he hadn't seen the sun in a while, and if he was in the cellar, that was probably the case. He had a small bruise on his cheek, but his expression was nothing short of determined.

"I found Kai in the cellar." Wu said, and I nodded, expecting nothing else from Dolion.

"The rest of Dolion's team is at the Sea of Sands, near the Ed and Edna's Scrap N' Junk. I think they want to end this in an all out battle." Kai said, his fist turning to flame.

"How do you know this?" Lloyd asked, and Kai shrugged.

"You know, the villain speech they all give. He just told me."

Light laughed, but it sounded strained. "It could be a trap. Dolion is always one step ahead."

I shook my head, finding that it was so silly that my own brother thought that I couldn't see through his lies.

"Dolion has always wanted to take Ninjago, and it sounds like he wants to do it quicker than before. It makes sense to finish it in one battle, he has both me and Jay as his enemy's now; I think he's desperate."

Lloyd took out a piece of chain, wrapping it around Light,

"We should contact the team and tell them to meet us at the Sea of Sands." Lloyd said. "And Light, you're staying here until this fight is over."

Light groaned, and I gave a giggle.

"Whose on the winning side now, Colton?"

"Patience, Clarissa." Wu said, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Do not be overconfident, it is dangerous. We must be wary."

I sighed, but tried to give a smile. "Okay, Sensei Wu."

I still found it hard to understand Wu's teaching...it was so much different than what I was used to. But, Wu was teaching me to be good, while Dolion was teaching me how to be evil, so I tried not to complain.

Lloyd dumped Light in the corner and we all walked out of the house to our vehicles.

"I want to burn this place down." Kai muttered, and I nodded.

"Let's do it after. I want to give it a bit of property damage, too."

Lloyd hopped on his bike, and began to contact the team, while Kai and I made our way to Sensei Wu.

"Wu, what are we going to do about the people at the Junkyard? Are we going to try and evacuate them?"

Wu sighed, running his hands through his beard.

"I'm afraid that Ed and Edna are likely Dolion's hostages."

Now I was confused. Dolion was an evil supervillain, sure, but he never used civilians. So why now?

I was about to ask when Kai beat me to it. "But why? Why use a random couple who owns a junkyard as hostages?"

"They are no random couple, they are Jay's parents. And I'm afraid that Dolion will use them against the Master of Lightning."

My eyes widened. That was not good.

Not good at all.

So, I'm thinking that there are only two chapters left….I'm trying to get this done and off my chest as soon as I can, but still having a good, complete story.

Reviews really get me motivated, so if you want to tell me your thoughts I'd love to hear them!
