lost moonchild: Okay, I have absolutely no idea what I'm thinking on this one but I decided after watching a music video that I found on a website that I'd write something about Hiei telling Yukina the truth. I don't own YYH and if I did, I'd be famous and rich!

Truth Revealed

It wasn't supposed to be this hard.

All I had expected to do someday was walk up to her and say that I was her brother then I'd run off to the Makai never to be heard from again. But before I have a chance to tell her, Yukina's crying on my shoulder with a huge black eye that I knew would heal up quickly because of her demon blood. When I found out who did it, I told her not to worry and that he wouldn't bother her anymore.

Now I'm heading back to where Yukina said she'd wait for me and I feel proud of myself. One more monster that could harm her is gone and the toddler knows why. I smirk when I think about how he wouldn't risk the koorime going against the Reikai since ice demons are pretty much a majority besides fire demons. Come to think of it, one reason he hasn't had me executed yet is because of my blood. He tells the detective that I'm a valuable asset to the protection of Ningenkai but I'm only valuable because I'm of two races. For once being a Forbidden Child is good.

Yukina smiles when she sees me and stands up. The bruise on her eye is starting to go away so I guess by the end of the day it'll be gone completely. "Hiei-sama, what did you do?" Yukina asks me looking confused.

"Don't worry. He won't hurt you, that I promise." I answer realizing that my plans were changing. I had wanted to leave for the Makai the minute I told her but now I realize that I have to stay. To protect her.

I sigh softly as I grab Yukina's hand and give her one of my tear gems. "Hiei-sama?" Yukina questions looking even more confused.

"it's a birthday present."

"My birthday isn't for another seven months, Hiei-sama."

"No, for all the birthdays I missed." I answer calmly. "Yukina, I-I've wanted to tell you something for the longest time but I guess I've always been afraid of how you'd react."

"What?"

Oh God, if she rejects me I'm going to kill myself.

"I…"

Here it goes.

"I know who your brother is." I say quickly.

"Who?"

I look away for a minute before I force myself to look at her. "Me." I answer calmly showing her the necklace our mother had given me at our birth.

Oh, God, she's crying now. I'd better go. "I'm sorry, Yukina." I say before turning.

"Hiei?"

I stop at the tone of her voice, she sounds so frail right now. So… innocent and needy. "Yes?" I question. Oh God, I'm afraid to look in her eyes now."

Yukina hesitates and grabs my hand. "My I call you oni-san?" Yukina asks quietly.

"H-hai." I answer.

Yukina smiles happily and hugs me tightly. "Come on, oni-san, Kazuma-kun will be happy to know that I have found you." Yukina says happily.

But there is the matter of that ningen baka but that will be saved for another time. First I'll enjoy my sister's company then I'll deal with that ningen baka.
