I don't own Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I only own my Oc.

'Is the stress getting to me?' I thought as I looked at the floating screen.
[You've rested in a comfortable bed! Health, Stamina, and Mana were restored by 75%. Status alignments restored!]
I reached out to touch it, only for my hand to go through it, causing it to fizzle out. 'Yeah, it's the stress,' I thought before getting up for school.
Once I was ready I walked out of my dorm room, only for two new screens not unlike before to appear.
[Quest Alert! New Quest!]
[Quest: You know what they say, on time is late!
Objective: Get to class 5 minutes before it starts.
Rewards: 5 XP
Y/N]
'Quests? I don't think stress makes my life a game, the heck.' I thought, slowly realizing I might be insane.
'I-I don't have time for this, class first. I'd rather not get in trouble.' I thought, brushing off my possible insanity. I took a step forward, expecting the screens to dissipate upon touching me, only for them to stay the exact distance away from me.
'The heck? Whatever, I was going to be there early anyway.' I thought pressing Y, causing the screen to fade. I continued my way down the halls to a necessary, but hated class.
'Math.' I thought as my annoyance spiked. 'My second favorite subject getting ruined by a bad teacher.' I thought sullenly. I entered the class to see the teacher at her desk, with a few students sitting at their desks.
I walked to my desk and sat down before another screen appeared in my vision. I looked around, and as I thought, they didn't notice the screen. 'This confirms that I'm hallucinating.'
[Quest Alert! Quest Completed!]
[Quest: You know what they say, on time is late!
Objective: Get to class 5 minutes before it starts.
Rewards: 5 XP]
'What next, a status screen?' I thought before another screen replaced the quest alert, causing me to pale slightly. 'No way.'

"Dear god…" I whispered out loud. 'Did the screen just react to my thoughts? Uh, main menu?' I thought as my apparent status screen changed into the main menu.
[Main menu:
Status
Skills
Perks
Inventory
Quests
Options]
'Well, I have five minutes… Options.' I thought, deciding I should give it a shot.
[Options:
Sound effects
Controls
Hud]
'This is too detailed, from when I woke up to here, what am I? The chosen one?' Before deciding that, if by any chance, no matter how small, this was real, I should take it seriously.
I decided that if this were real, then options should give me some sort of indicator.
[Options:
Sound effects
Controls
Hud]
'Hud should do something visual, right?' I thought before the screen changed again.
[Hud:
Health Bar: On/Off
Stamina Bar: On/Off
Mana Bar: On/Off
XP Bar: On/Off
Mini-map: On/Off]
'I was right. They're all off too huh, what will it look like if it's on?' I thought as I turned them all on.
When I did, four bars popped on the top left of my vision stacked on each other, one red with the numbers 100/100 on top, one green with the same numbers as the red one right under it, one dark blue with the numbers 50/50 following the green bar, and finally a thin light blue bar with the number 5/100 in it at the bottom.
I turned my head side to side and noticed that the hud matched my movement perfectly. I leaned back in my chair in disbelief, 'This is real, isn't it? How the hell did my life turn into a game?' I thought before the options screen moved to the side, and a quest alert popped up, along with it the actual quest.
[Quest Alert! New Quest!]
[Quest: You were Chosen One, Anakin!
Objective: Find out why you were chosen to play the game!
Reward: Knowledge of the Game's origins, REDACTED.
Y/N]
'Is there a reason to pick no? Why couldn't it tell me the consequences if I fail?' I thought, before deciding that I might as well. As if knowing my answer, it highlighted yes and I continue through the Options only to see the Controls and Sound effects locked in Realistic.
Right before I could move onto another tab in the main menu, a student came running into the class, another student on crutches right behind him.
"Now Honey," My math teacher said to the first kid. He paled and turned to the clock, seeing that he came in a few seconds too late. Turning back to the teacher then he tried to shoot some excuse for being late only for the other kid to step in.
"It's my fault, Mrs. Dodds, I slowed him down." The teacher looked mildly annoyed for some reason as if losing a good opportunity. Excusing them, the class began.
[Quest Alert! New Quest!]
[Quest: Math Wiz.
Objective: Pay attention and learn math!
Reward: 5 XP.

'Will this happen for every class?' I thought clicking yes, before starting listening to the teacher.
As the class finished I decided to use my recess to look more into my new 'power'.
'Inventory.' I thought, noticing the screens listened to my thoughts.
[Inventory:
Empty slot x999]
'Holy shit!' I thought. 999 slots? 'I'll have to look into what I can do with that.' I thought before moving on to Perks.
[Perks:
Owned
Shop]
'I already have perks?' I thought before choosing Owned.
[Perks:Owned:
Gamer's Body (Passive): This allows you to live your life as a game. Sleep, water, food, and air are no longer needed. Your body will stay in its state regardless of consumption. All status conditions are healed when you sleep in a bed, such as poison or exhaustion.
Gamer's Mind (Passive): This allows you to remain calm when under stress. This also removes others' ability to see the game from your memory, and anything related to it.
Clear Sighted (Passive): This allows you to see through the veil called "The Mist", allowing you to see the supernatural world as it is. It also allows you to see magic.
Fateless (Passive): Fate has no hold over you. Prophecies cannot affect you directly. You make your path.]
'So my life is now a game? And there's supernatural too? What kinda situation did I wake up to?' I thought before focusing on the final perk.
'So Fate is real? Damn, thank God I don't have to deal with that.' I thought before realizing the bell rang.
[Quest Alert! New Quest!]
[Quest: You can't be late!
Objective: Get to ELA on Time!
Reward: 5 XP.
Y/N]
'Will this happen for every class?' I thought clicking yes, before dashing towards my ELA class.
'It actually did it for every class, the 'get there early' and 'participate quest' are gonna give me 70 XP a day.' I thought excitedly, as the school will help me rake up XP.
'It also helps the Library gives a bonus.' I thought while looking at the screen in front.
[Scholar's Library: By being in this area, you gain a +15% XP and stat gain to Intelligence and mental skills.]
It was a shock, and I knew the second I received the notice I'd be spending a lot of time here.
I had also gone deeper into the system in between classes, trying to grasp my situation better.
Since I didn't have Pp, or Perk points, I thought to explore everything else first.
Quests just showcase where my next objective is, the exception being the Gamer origins so far, and its details. I also figured out that once I accept a quest, I can't get rid of it.
Next was the Skills tab, and it was filled. There were tabs for Magic, Mental and Physical skills, and when a skill had things under it, instead of adding another skill it made a subcategory.
Most weren't noteworthy, but surprisingly I had a locked skill in Magic.
[Skills: Magic:
Observe(Lvl MAX) (Active) (Locked): This skill allows the user to see the status of anything he looks at. Note, Intent is used for clarity. (Locked until stat Mag is 5)
Cost: 5Mp]
I had immediately put 5 of my 10 stat points to test it out, and it didn't disappoint. I had essentially spammed it to get a feel on it and It was then I realized that I was closer to the supernatural than I thought.

A DemiGod, in the same classes as me. Now any smart person would move immediately, far far away. Unfortunately, I was not and way too curious.
I wasn't sure if Percy knew what he was, as observe only told me the status but I was pretty sure he didn't. I mean what kind of DemiGod would let themselves get pushed around by a bunch of rich kids?
It also opened my eyes, I was level one while he was 12. I also realized I can cheat with Sp and Pp because everyone else status had N/A on both.
'So everything is BS and I need to train to live comfortably.' I concluded, as there's no way I'm going to live among Gods and Godlings and be average.
Now I know I'm a kid, but come on! My life's a game, I live among divine beings, there's just no way I'd live if I didn't!
Which lead me here, as I know absolutely nothing about Mythology or working out. This brings me back to another problem, I don't know anything about Percy, like which mythology he's from or who his parent is.
I don't want to accidentally get roped in either, at least until I have a legit reason, such as cool powers or magic.
'Magic.' I mused, I have magic, magic. The thing is I have no clue on how it works aside from Observe.
'Something to add to the list.' I thought before walking down a different aisle, this one holding mythology.
I picked up a book on Roman mythology and walked towards a secluded table and sat down.
'I swear if I read a bunch of this and it doesn't exist I'm gonna be mad.' I thought as a screen popped up.
[New Quest!]
[Quest: Peer into the past!
Objectives: Read books on every single Pantheon's history and get your skill for each to 25!
Rewards: 10,000 XP, New Title.

'So much to do, might as well start strong.' I thought, clicking yes before diving into my new goals.
A/N: Hey guys, this is my first fanfic here! I haven't much experience with writing and tend to stop when I feel I could have done better, in fact, this is a redo of my first one, so if you have any tips and have things to say about my book then please do so, so long as it's backed up with a reason. For example, I don't want someone to say "This sucks." or "I hate this." Without a reason behind it. If I can fix it, I will, but if not then I'm sorry.
