Little Momenta- Brad Paisley

Well, I'll never forget the first time that I heard

That pretty mouth say that dirty word

And I can't even remember now what she backed my truck into

But she covered her mouth and her face got red

And she just looked so darn cute

That I couldn't' even act like I was mad

Yeah, I live for little moments like that

Three Weeks

They'd only been seeing each other for a few weeks, but he already knew. Alina was it for him. Aleksander had never really considered himself a romantic, but he was quite certain it was love at first sight, at least for him. She was so sweet, so full of light. So very lovely. So innocent.

She'd practically begged him to let her drive for once, and they hadn't even made it out of the parking lot. She backed into a light pole almost immediately.

"Oh Fuck!" He'd never heard her swear before, and he had to admit, it was a little hot. She groaned and dropped her head in her hands, pretty face heating up in embarrassment.

And he wanted to be mad. But when she peaked up at him through her fingers, the only thing he could do was smile. She was precious.

He loved her.

"I think I'll drive from now on Milaya." She couldn't help the laugh that bubbles out, reaching over and pushing his shoulder lightly.

"Shut up Aleksander."

Well, that's just like last year on my birthday

She lost all track of time and burnt the cake

And every smoke detector in the house was goin' off

And she was just about to cry until I took her in my arms

And I tried not to let her see me laugh

Yeah, I live for little moments like that

A Year

He entered their apartment, quicker than he intended. He'd rushed as soon as he heard the smoke alarm, and smelt something burning.

"Fuck! Oh no no!" She was pulling out what was once a cake of some sort. Though now it resembled charcoal more than anything. She turned toward him as he closed the door behind him. Her pretty brown eyes were blinking back tears, her hands coming up quickly to hide them.

"Oh Milaya…" He pulled her into his arms, letting her bury her head in his shoulder.

"I was trying to surprise you Sasha."

"We'll I'd certainly count this as a surprise." He hid his grin in her hair, leaning down further to kiss her neck. She responded by elbowing him firmly in the ribs.

"Ouch."

"Don't be mean!"

I know she's not perfect but she tries so hard for me

And I thank God that she isn't 'cause how boring would that be

It's the little imperfections, it's the sudden change in plans

When she misreads the directions and we're lost but holding hands

Yeah, I live for little moments like that

A Year And A Half

"Alina, love, you do know where we're going, don't you?"

"…Yes?" She bit her lip and willed her phone to get service, if only for a moment. Long enough to tell her where the hell they were. But whatever corner of backwood they were in had absolutely no cell service. She had thought they'd taken the right turns, but now, nothing looked familiar.

"Sasha?" He glanced over at her from the drivers side, giving her a lazy grin when he caught her fidgeting.

"Yes my love?"

"I have no idea where we are." He chuckled and shook his head, reaching for her hand. He pulled her knuckles up to kiss and kept their clasped hands between them.

"It's alright. There's no where I'd rather be, than lost with you."

Oh she loved him.

When she's layin' on my shoulder on the sofa in the dark

And about the time she falls asleep so does my right arm

And I want so bad to move it 'cause it's tinglin' and it's numb

But she looks so much like an angel that I don't wanna wake her up

Yeah, I live for little moments

When she steals my heart again and doesn't even know it

Yeah, I live for little moments like that

Two Years

The credits rolled and he glanced down at the woman wrapped in his arms. She'd drifted off to sleep somewhere near the end of the movie. Linked her fingers with his and wrapped his arm firmly around herself, burrowing closer into his chest, resting her head on their clasped hands. Looking down at her now made his heart swell. She looked like an angel. God he loved her so much. She was everything.

For the hundredth time, his mind wandered to the little black box hidden in his sock drawer. He'd gotten it from his mother embarrassingly early in their relationship, he'd known from the beginning the she was the one. Now, nearly two years later, he still hadn't worked up the courage to ask her.

Alina, will you marry me?

Alina, marry me.

I've never loved anyone the way I love you Alina, please marry me.

He was almost certain her answer would be yes. Almost. In the past, his nerves kept getting the best of him, and he chickened out a few times. But he was determined to actually do it this time, on their anniversary next week. If he didn't ask her soon it was going to drive him crazy. He wanted his ring on her finger. He wanted her to be his wife. His. Forever.

He sighed and dropped a kiss on her forehead, "I love you Alina."

"Love you too Sasha." She mumbled and burrowed deeper into his chest, her lips tilting up into a sleepy smile. She was breathtaking.

His shoulder was beginning to go numb, but he didn't have the heart, or the want, to pull away from her.

There was no where else he'd rather be. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her wrapped in his arms.

And soon, he'd make it a reality…
