PUTTING ON THE BLACK GLOVES, Bella looked up to her reflection in the full-length mirror once again. She was wearing a champagne sequin flapper dress at the moment, a dazzling array of champagne sequins cascaded down to a tiered fringe scalloped hemline. It was a breathtaking vintage dress and one of her favorite from the twenties. Around her neck was a necklace made of long strands of pearls. Her blonde hair was in a curly updo, with a glitzy headband. A pair of gold dainty T-strap heels were on her feet. She looked perfect as usual. And she was ready to go to the decade dance.
While admiring her own appearance, another reflection suddenly appeared in the mirror. It was Jeremy. He wore a blue navy suit jacket paired with a white shirt, grey necktie, white vest, and dark blue pants. He was standing in her doorstep, staring at her in awe.
Turning halfway toward him, Bella playfully commented, "You clean up nice."
"And you..." Jeremy trailed off as he stepped closer, he looked speechless, "you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."
She couldn't say it was the first time she had heard that. "Well, considering the fact that you haven't lived long enough or gone to many places to see enough girls for comparison, I wouldn't take that as a huge compliment."
By now, Jeremy was already in front of her. His eyes widened slightly, and his lips parted, he was taken aback by her ungrateful and arrogant answer.
"I'm kidding, Jer!" Bella exclaimed, the corner of Jeremy's lips slowly curled up, and he chuckled sheepishly. "You know how much I like compliments, even though I don't really like giving them."
The Gilbert boy just shook his head. Bella and her sense of humorㅡhe should have seen that coming.
"I, uh," he cleared his throat, a trace of a smile was still on his face, one hand went inside his pocket and pulled out a bracelet. "I have something for you."
It was an infinity chain bracelet. The bracelet was in sterling silver, and it featured a round-shaped moissanite center stone. Gently taking her hand, he put the bracelet around her wrist.
A slight frown rolled over Bella's face as she stared down at the bracelet. "I thought I was supposed to be the one trying to get your forgiveness, not the other way around."
She had came clean to Jeremy about why she went missing for four days. She had told him about her trip with Kolㅡabout Kol deliberately throwing away her phone so she couldn't return any of his texts or calls, but she didn't tell him the reason why she agreed to help Kol or why Kol needed her help. And even though nothing had happened between her and Kol on that trip, it was still a miracle that Jeremy truly believed her. It was either her who was too convincing or Jeremy who was too naive. Either way she was glad she didn't need to deal with another trust issue.
"You were forgiven the moment you agreed to go to this dance with me," he replied, still smiling. His eyes were also fixed on the bracelet, he looked like he was waiting for something, and then his smile slowly faded.
"So you asked me to go to this dance to punish me?" She arched a brow at him, then tilted her head to the side. "You really know how to torture me, do you?"
Another chuckle escaped Jeremy's lips as he turned his attention away from the bracelet. "I don't think punish is the right word." Then he narrowed his eyes. "And don't girls usually like these kind of things?"
"Well, I'm not just an usual girl," Bella pointed out, shrugging. "And I've been through this like a hundred times. I'm surfeited with it." And she wasn't just talking about decade dances, she was talking about all kinds of school dances.
"But this is the first time you're going through this with me."
It was true. And then she remembered that they hadn't really spent any time together since they became official. A hint of guilt washed over her as she realized that it was mainly because she was too busy with all the chaotic situations around them that she never really had time for him. But it wasn't her fault that life never went easy on her.
Tilting his head to the side, he studied her expression as he asked, "Unless it doesn't mean anything to you...?"
"What's with the tone?" Bella's brows furrowed. It sounded an awful lot like a trick questionㅡlike he was actually knew what she was going to answer but he just wanted to see her say it so that he could tell if she was honest or notㅡwhich meant he was suspicious of her. But Bella hadn't done anything suspicious after her confession. And Jeremy looked like he really meant it when he said he trusted her.
"Um," he forced a chuckle and shook his head, "nothing." Then he glanced down at the bracelet once again.
Bella followed his gaze, and she finally realized that she hadn't thanked him properly. "It's beautiful." Looking up to him, she give him a sincere smile. "Thank you."
His smile reappeared, but there was a hint of bitterness in his eyes. "I'm glad you like it."
And then, the couple left the Salvatore Boarding House and made their way to 20's decade dance.
An upbeat music blasted throughout the gymnasium, and the party was in full swing in with students dancing to the music. The place looked stunning, and for a second, Bella got reminded by her time in the twenties. Not all of it were good times, but it weren't bad times either.
The first thing Bella did was look for Rebekah. As far as she remembered, Rebekah was the one who organized this dance, and she had asked Bella to help with it, but Bella had to refuse. The girl was nowhere to be seen at the moment, and it worried her. Because Rebekah hadn't returned any of her texts and calls since yesterday, and there was no way the girl would just miss the dance she orginized on her own. And Bella had tried to check into Klaus' Mansion before, but Rebekah wasn't there either.
She had a bad feeling about Rebekah, but she didn't really know what to do at this point. Where should Bella start looking? Not even Klaus and Kol knew where Rebekah was. And she couldn't exactly bail on Jeremy again. She had bailed on him countless times, and he wasn't in a good place at the moment, with all Alaric's alter ego things. And for once, Bella wanted to be there for him.
Moving their bodies to the beat of the music, the couple tried hard to forget their worries for a moment. The two tried to just enjoy themselves as they danced the night away.
"So... tell me about your time in the twenties," Jeremy asked as the music changed into a slow-beat one and they started slow dancing.
It wasn't the first time she had been asked that kind of question. People seemed genuinely curious about how she had spent her time before all this. Not that she didn't want to tell them the truth, it was just that it would be a very long story that could be summed up by 'running away from Klaus and surviving'. But if he really wanted to know the details, fine then.
"I spent most of my time in Brazil after I heard about some brothers who developed a martial art called Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu," the Salvatore girl began after taking a deep breath, "It was the first combat sport I learned, and it took me about two years to fully master it, but it really helped me defend myself against stronger opponents." She had her head leaned against his shoulder as they continued to move in sync. "Then I continued with Krav Manga, Judo, andㅡ"
"Wait, you're a vampire," he suddenly cut in, "You have super strength." And a frown rolled over his face. "Why did you even need to learn that?"
"I was running from another vampire who was ten times stronger than me, remember?" she reminded him. Not that she thought she could beat Klaus with that, but at least it could give her a chance to escape in case she ever get caught by the hybrid again. "If I didn't try to protect myself in every possible ways, I would be dead by now."
Jeremy fell silence at once. He finally realized that Bella's life was truly in constant danger. His life had been in constant danger too lately, but at least he wasn't alone. But she was all alone at the time. He couldn't even imagine how she'd gone through all that.
"I really wish there was a way I could help protect you," he muttered sadly.
"Maybe it wasn't protection I needed," she responded, straightening her head up to look at him, and she gave him a reassuring look. "Maybe I just needed you to be here."
"Or maybe you just said that because you knew he could never protect you." They were startled by that voice, and as they broke away from each other, they found Kol standing right beside them. He was wearing a dark brown suit jacket paired with a light blue shirt, high V vest, darker brown pants, and a diagonal striped necktie in green, brown, and black stripesㅡshowing that he was actually dressed for the occasion. Looking over at Jeremy, he scornfully added, "No offense, mate."
Jeremy said nothing and just stared at him dryly. Bella took the initiative to step forward and put herself between them. They might be in the crowd at the moment, but she knew Kol never cared about exposing himself in front of people. He would really attack if he wanted to.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, staring at the original with narrowed eyes.
A mischievous smile briefly touched Kol's lips, and he playfully winked at her as he replied, "I'm here to break you two apart, of course."
Bella frowned. Just a few minutes ago her eyes accidentally spotted Klaus in the crowd ㅡtrying to come between Caroline and Tyler. And now here Kol was, trying to come between her and Jeremy. What was with them original brothers and trying to steal someone else's girlfriends?
"And how are you planning you to do that?" She raised an eyebrow at him, and folded her arms across her chest.
Kol put his face forward a little, and mysteriously whispered, "You'll see."
Bella blinked a few times, and then she frowned. Was Kol really up to something? Should she be worried about that? He just sounded really confident about that.
"Now darling, can I ask you to dance?" the brown-haired original spoke again, offering a hand to the blonde vampire, in which only made her frown deepen. "If you grant me the honor, I promise I will try not to do anything crazy." His gaze then turned to Jeremy. "You don't mind, do you, mate? I remember you once told me that you didn't want to be a possessive boyfriend."
Bella had no idea how much Jeremy had told Kol when he pretended to be his friend, but there was no way she would just let Kol manipulate Jeremy with that.
Turning to Jeremy, she took his hand and said, "Let's just get out of here."
"No, it's okay," Jeremy quickly replied, stopping Bella from leaving, "You can dance with him if you want." Taking a quick glance at Kol, he then forced a smile at her and gently pulled his hand away. "I'm gonna go find Matt." And, he just left.
That was really weird, to say the least. Bella wouldn't even trust herself with Kol, but Jeremy would? Something was definitely up. Did Kol compel him before? Was that part of Kol's plan to break them apart? But Bella had seen Jeremy taking vervain this morning. There was no way the vervain had left his system.
Kol's lips twisted into a triumphant smile and his brown eyes twinkled as Bella finally turned to him. "Just one dance, love."
For a moment, Bella just stared at his outstretched hand and his face in turn. She was tempted to reject him, only to get a reaction from him, but she was also curious about his plan, and the best way to find out about it was by playing along.
His smile boardened as Bella put her hand on his, and he pulled her closer. His other hand was on her hips in an instant, and hers was on his shoulder. And together they moved to the music as one.
Staring at the beauty before him, Kol muttered, "You sounded like you were having a great time in the twenties."
Of course, Kol must have listened to her conversation with Jeremy earlier. For some reason that didn't surprise Bella at all.
"Yeah, thanks to your brother," the blonde vampire responded, with a sarcastic smile.
Tilting his head to the side, Kol raised an eyebrow suggestively. "Perhaps we should team up again to teach him a lesson?"
Bella knew that Kol had every right to want to get back at his brother, and it wasn't just because of her. Klaus had daggered him multiple times, forcibly taking away several times in Kol's life. If it were her, she would have wanted the same. But she always hated when someone or something came between her and her family, and she didn't want it to happen to Kol's either.
"No thanks," Bella answered after a moment of silence.
"Aw, that's too bad." The corners of his lips curled downward, and he sighed dramatically. "I really think we made a pretty good team."
Rolling her eyes, Bella could no longer hold back from asking, "Seriously, Kol, what are you doing here?"
"You don't believe my answer earlier?" He arched his brows, the smile returned to his lips at the question.
"If you were really planning on doing something like that, you wouldn't tell me until it worked," the Salvatore girl retorted, "because then I would try to do something to prevent it."
"What if there's nothing you can do to prevent it?"
The question made Bella stop moving, and he stopped as well. But neither of them took their hands off each other.
Bringing his face closer, he continued in a whisper voice, "Mark my words, darling. If love is real, it will never be over. It will find a way, right where it belongs." Their eyes locked, they were unable to turn away from each other. "And I think you know exactly whose love I'm talking about."
For a moment, she just blinked at him with lips parted. His every words had struck her, and Bella didn't know how to react.
And then her hazel eyes found Jeremy watching them from afar. The look on Jeremy's face was enough to make her realize what she should have done, and she hurriedly pulled herself away from Kol. Feeling like she couldn't deal with either of them at the moment, she turned on her heel and walked away.
Bella left the gym and made her way down the deserted corridor. And she couldn't help but wonder; since when had things gotten this complicated? She always hated complicated things. And why couldn't Kol just leave her alone?
"Darling, wait." She gritted her teeth when she heard that voice which was followed by approaching footsteps. And the next second, Kol was already in front of her and blocked her way. "You dropped this." He was holding up the bracelet Jeremy had given her next to his face, and as she reflexively looked over at her arm, she found out only her daylight bracelet was there. "May I?" he asked politely, motioning to the bracelet and her arm, in which she just nodded.
And something unexpected happened after Kol put the bracelet around her arm. The moissanite stones that were on the infinity emblem on the bracelet suddenly glowed, and she frowned at it. "That's weird."
And when she looked up at Kol, there was a triumphant smile on his lips and his eyes that were fixed on the glowing bracelet twinkled with happiness.

Earlier that day
Having finished his shift for the day, Jeremy hurriedly went back home. It was friday, and he had a date to the dacade dance at school. Things had been rough lately, but he tried hard to hang in there. And he was hoping that going to the dance and spending time with his pretty girlfriend would make it feel a little bit better.
However, when he finally got home, he immediately felt uneasy when he found Kol standing in the driveway. What the hell did he want? Was pretending to be his friend and taking his girlfriend away the past few days not enough for him?
"Jeremy," the original exclaimed as he got out of the car, a smirk was on his face, "Good to see you again, mate."
"What do you want?" Jeremy retorted matter-of-factly, his eyes staring lazily at the vampire.
"Are you sure you want to know what I want?" Kol replied playfully, "Because the list can go on forever." Then his face turned serious. "But it can be summed up with a name."
Jeremy didn't even need to be told who Kol meant. By now, he was fully aware of the original's obsession with Bella. "Yeah, too bad she doesn't want you."
"I wouldn't be too sure about that."
"You can believe what you want, but that's what she told me." Then before walking into the house, he deliberately stopped next to Kol and emphasized, "And I believe her."
"Well, she's always been a good liar," the original stated, in a loud voice. He had his body half-turn towards Jeremy. "If you don't know about that, then you don't know anything about her."
The last sentence got him, and Jeremy stopped walking. He actually realized that Bella was never completely honest with him. There was always something she kept from him. But Jeremy chose to believe her anyway because it felt like the right thing to do.
"Not so sure anymore, are you?" Kol went on, his smirk boardened, and he flashed himself in front of the Gilbert boy. "Tell you what, why don't we just seek for the truth? And if it turns out she wasn't lying, I give you my word I won't bother you two anymore."
Jeremy would be damned if he believed on Kol's words after all the things the original had done to him. But the truth sounded really tempting right now. And he didn't think he could resist.
.
.
.
.
"And that proves what I said before," Kol exclaimed, his smile boardened. Confusion crossed Bella's features at the reaction, and he finally turned his attention back to the blonde. "Do you remember the magic necklace I gave you on your sixteenth birthday? The one that glowed as soon as I put it on your neck?"
Bella nodded doubtfully. Not that she didn't remember, it was just that she had a weird feeling about it now that she noticed the resemblances between this bracelet and that necklace.
And then Kol revealed, "The truth is, it would only glow if you're in love with the person who put it on you. And the same goes with this bracelet. I have had a witch to put the same magic on it."
Bella's eyes widened as she realized what had just happened. And then another approaching footsteps was heard, and as she turned around, she found Jeremy walking towards them. The hurt look on Jeremy's face as he stared down at the glowing bracelet showed that he knew everything.
So this was why Jeremy had acted weird all night. He teamed up with Kol to put the bracelet on her arm in turn so they could see who she really loved. But how? How could Kol even get him to agree to do this?
"You know," Kol spoke again, the smile hadn't left his face, "at first, I couldn't understand why you chose him. And I was having a hard time to understand it. I mean, no matter how much I don't like it, I realized we've been separated for too long and you have every right to try to move on. The question wasㅡwhy him? Of all people. And then I realized why."
Unlike Kol, the air was tight to Jeremy. And Bella couldn't even bring herself to look at the Gilbert boy with all the guilt she felt for him.
Taking a step closer to her, Kol put on a serious face. "You saw the old-you in him, and you saw me in this new-you. You were trying to recreate what we had back then." His lips then twisted into a lopsided smile. "But guess what, darling? You can never recreate what we had with anyone but me."
Seeing that Bella couldn't even deny it, Kol glanced up at Jeremy. He knew he had done a good jobㅡhe had broke the two of them apart. "I'll let you two talk it out." With that, the original left.
After Kol was gone, Bella forced herself to look at Jeremy. "Jer..."
"Just don't," Jeremy hastily cut in, his eyes filled with disappointment, and then he just walked away from her.
Guilt and frustration washed over her and she let out a heavy sigh. Little did she knew she deserved this.
IT WAS UNBELIEVEABLE how things changed so quickly. It started out as a beautiful night, which escalated into a dramatic and emotional one, and now turned into a life-and-death situation. At this point, Bella would give anything to be able to turn the clock so she could choose to stay in her room and spend the night watching her favorite shows while eating pizza.
Apparently, Kol was right about Esther. The witch somehow was still alive and had made a plan to kill them all, again. She trapped all of them supernatural beings in school and took Elena with her. Not that Bella actually cared about the doppelganger, but she knew for a fact that Elena's blood were sources of great magical power. It would be a great help to whatever Esther was planning and that was the last thing they all wanted.
Everyone was in the cafetaria at the moment, patiently waiting for Bonnie to break the boundary spells that was casted around the school so that they could leave. By everyone, it was Klaus, Kol, Damon, Stefan, Bella, Jeremy. The Mikaelson brothers were standing in front of the table Bonnie used to put the candles she was channeling. The Salvatores siblings were on the next table, sitting side by side on it with Damon in the middle and only Stefan facing Bonnie. Jeremy stood not far from them, looking extra worried.
"What's taking so long?" Klaus spoke up, causing Bonnie to stop chanting and narrow her eyes sharply at him. "All boundary spells have a loophole."
The cafetaria door suddenly opened, Matt stepped in and informed, "People are walking right out of the dance, past the barrier."
"If Matt and I can leave, we could stop Esther ourselves," Jeremy suggested, taking a step forward and glancing at everyone in the room, "We just gotta find out where she is."
A short mocking laugh escaped Kol's lips, and he sneered, "Quite the hero, aren't you, mate?"
It seemed that even after successfully getting them to break up, Kol still had a personal dislikement for him. But it wasn't really the time for it, not when their lives were at stakes.
Stefan stood up, and he walked over to Jeremy. "It's suicide, Jer."
"You know, this is all your and your siblings' fault," Klaus replied, stepping closer to Stefan with eyes glancing over at the other two Salvatores who also turned to him for his words. "You set us on this path when you released my mother."
"Real mature, Klaus," Bella remarked through her gritted teeth, "Passing all the blame on others in a situation like this." Her tone dripped with sarcasm, she threw her hands in the air while shaking her blonde head in disbelief. "As expected from a thousand year old man."
Damon nudged his sister in the arm as Klaus shot a glare at her. It wasn't the right time to piss off Klaus, especially when they were trapped in there with him. But Bella didn't seem to take the hintㅡshe wasn't in the right mind at the moment, her rational mind was clouded by her unstable emotions.
Standing up, the Salvatore girl looked over at the hybrid. And while ignoring everyone's eyes on her, she continued, "Or maybe you're right, it was all our fault. Maybe it was our fault that you killed your mother and made her hold a grugde against the entire species of vampires. Maybe it was our fault that you liked tormenting people and gave them every reason to want to destroy you. Maybe it was your fault that even after everything you've done to make yourself feel less pathetic, none of that worked and you still can't even face the fact that you're actually the most pathetic person in this world."
Klaus' jaw tightened, and anger flashed through his eyes at her words. But just when he took a step closer to her, Kol stepped in front of him and blocked his way. "Don't even think about it, brother," said the younger boy, his brown eyes flashed a warning.
Everyone tensed up in an instant. Stefan and Jeremy moved to cover Bella from Klaus's sight while Damon nudged the blonde's arm once again as he mouthed, "Go!" With Kol's help, he and Stefan most likely could take down Klaus if Klaus tried anything to harm Bella, but he didn't want to take a risk.
Bella rolled her eyes at everyone's overreaction, but she left eventually. After all, she couldn't stand being in that room for any longer.
She didn't have much choice of places, so she chose to wait at the library. She thought she might find something to read there so she could take her mind off everything, but nothing caught her eyes. Sighing, Bella plopped down on one of the chairs. She could no longer resist the urge to look at the glowing bracelet in her arm, which she hadn't removed since Kol had put it on earlier. Her feelings was all over the place and her mind blank. She didn't know what to think or how to feel.
Suddenly, the library door opened and Caroline's head appeared between the gaps on it. "There you are!" the Forbes girl exclaimed, "I've been looking for you everywhere." Bella looked up at her, and she stepped in. "Please don't freak out," she bit her lips, looking a bit nervous as she went closer, "but Jeremy just left to the old cemetery with Matt to try to stop Esther."
Once again, Bella didn't know how to react at the news. In the end, she just shrugged and muttered, "Can't say I'm surprised."
"That's it?" Caroline choke in disbelief. "Your boyfriend's putting his life in line for us and that's all you have to say?"
"Ex-boyfriend, actually," the youngest Salvatore corrected without interest, "And what else could I say, Caroline? We're useless right now." She might not love Jeremy, but that didn't mean she didn't care about him at all. She was worried about him, but there was nothing she could do at this point.
"Wait, what?" Caroline's eyes widened in an instant, "You two broke up?" She sat herself down on the chair opposite her, "What happened?" And then she remembered someone who shouldn't be there other than Klaus. "It must be Kol's doing, wasn't it?"
Bella bit her lips, and shook her head. "Actually, it was me," she claimed. All Kol did was reveal the truth. It was her own fault that she was still in love with him instead of Jeremy.
Recently, Bella had learned that just telling other people about what was on her mind sometimes could make her feel better. And Bella knew that she could trust Caroline, so she ended up telling her everything.
Dry chuckle escaped Bella's mouth as she ended the story. "You know what's funny?" she murmured, in a flat tone, "I was so mad at Kol for breaking my heart." She swallowed hard, a shadow of guilt darkened her hazel eyes. "But then I did the exact same thing as him to other people." She closed her eyes, shaking her blonde head as image of the people she had hurt appeared. "I can't even think of how many hearts I've broken."
"Hey, don't say that." Caroline leaned forward, and then she moved to the chair next to Bella so she could rub her shoulders soothingly. "You were just confused with your own feelings. It happens all the time."
Another dry chuckle escaped Bella's lips, and she smiled bitterly. "That's just the thing, Care. I may look like a sixteen year old, but I really am not." Taking a deep breath, the Salvatore girl confessed, "I wasn't confused with my own feelings. I knew I didn't love Jeremy, at least not in the way I love Kol, and I probably never will, but that's why I chose him. Because he didn't have the power to break me. But Kol did, he always does. And he broke me once. He can always do it again."
Caroline fell silent at once. She was trying to process what Bella had just told her. Many people out there would do anything just to be with their loved ones, but there Bella was, choosing to be with someone she didn't love. She really couldn't understand her.
The female Salvatore sucked in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "You once asked me what I fear the most in this world, and I lied. It wasn't Klaus. It was love." Her hazel eyes stared blankly at the table before her as she muttered, "Love is a dangerous thing. For over a century I've watched it destroy people, I even let it destroy myself, but I won't let that happen again."
Caroline had heard of philophobiaㅡthe fear of loveㅡ but this was the first time she had met someone who had it. And she didn't really expect it from someone like Bellaㅡin her eyes, Bella was a fearless and strong figure. After everything Bella had been through, it was so impressive to see her standing still. But of all the terrors of life that the girl had endured, it was love that traumatized her the most. She didn't know what Kol had done to Bella, but this could only mean one thingㅡ"You must be really love him."
With great love, came great pain. And even after experiencing the great pain, the love was still there. It just proved how strong Bella's love for Kol really was.
Caroline cleared her throat. "Bella, I'm just gonna be blunt; I don't like him at all." She straightened herself up as she looked at the other blonde in the eye. "I really don't think he's good enough for you, and I also hate seeing you get hurt, but you've always been a better judge of character than me, so let me ask you something."
Bella just stared blankly at Caroline as she waited for her question. Her gaze was stormy, but there was more there, a profound sadness that made the girl more human.
"Do you think he still loves you as much as you love him?"
Her lips parted at the question, and she blinked. She knew exactly the answerㅡshe did. He had shown her that he still loved her, that he would never give up on her, that he would do anything for her. And it was more than enough to prove his love for her.
"Do you really think he will hurt you again?"
Bella glanced down when she thought it over. To be honest, she didn't know the answer herself. Her paranoid side said he would most likely hurt her again, but her naive side said he wouldn't. And she had no idea who to listen.
"Do you think the joys and happiness you will have with him will be worth the risk of pain if he hurts you again?"
When Kol accused her of trying to recreate what they had back then, Bella couldn't bring herself to deny it because deep down she knew it was true. She did trying to recreate that. It was the happiest time in her life, and she wanted to feel it again. But Kol was right, she could never have it with other people. But she also wasn't sure she was prepared for the risk of coming back to him.
"Bella, you're the strongest person I've ever met. I believe that if anyone can get back up after falling, it will be you. Don't let your fear of falling keep you from getting your true happiness."
Caroline's words struck hard. Should she really take the risk and come back to Kol?
A/n: Did anyone see the parallels between Kol, Bella, Jeremy before Kol brought it up? I remember someone leaving a comment on one of Jeremy and Bella's interactions and saying that it reminded her of Kol and Bella. Well, I actually did it on purpose. And yes, I got the idea of the magic necklace (and now also the bracelet) from Wizards of Waverly Place. But I couldn't say the reference before because I planned on revealing it in this very chapter.
And I have a question; should I write a smutt scene in this book and change the rating into Mature? I've been planning to write Kol and Bella's smutt scene for a while, but I'm not sure if you guys will agree or not, and I also can't promise that the scene will be good since I'm not really experienced writing it, but I'll try it if you guys agree xD
