Hey, how long? I bet you thought I died (:V)...Naa, my life got even more complicated, etc, etc...and now I have almost no time for anything, and less for the fic, but well, at least I haven't forgotten it. The updates will be even slower, or maybe not, I can't promise anything beyond the fact that I'm fond of this story, and I don't plan to leave it, even if it takes me years, so I guess you'll have to wait as long as with the publications and translations of the DXD or campione original novels to see the end of this story :V

Anyway, in the next chapter or in the next next one I'm going to finish this event.

best regards!

Secret Mission 01: Stop Son-Goku at any cost! (2)

*Boooooooooom*-A huge spear of light hit the giant monkey, coming from Raynare, who was levitating next to the beast...

*Slash*-...taking advantage of this blow that distracted the monster, the neck and head of the last giant monkey was severed when Dante channeled all his magical power through the blade of his sword, which ended up cutting with a giant wave of demonic power, the huge neck of the creature... Dante had to admit that Raynare's help had been too useful for him to be able to finish off these two divine beasts.

*Breathe* *Breathe**Breathe* *Breathe**Breathe* *Breathe* - A moment later, the boy sat on top of a building as he breathed deeply and rapidly. He looked quite tired, and even paler than when he was "medically treated", sweat was running down every part of his face, and body...and at the same time, some nasty looking purplish-bluish veins had appeared in some zones of his neck and hands.

Seeing the latter, Raynare said:

-You must stop using those demonic weapons at least for this day, your body is reaching its limit.

-I don't disagree with that, but at least we're done with these monkeys *Sigh*.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly, and things finally looked like they would settle down for a while...

...however...

-*Sate, sate, sate...you are definitely an interesting mortal! Very interesting! Surely, you are feeling proud of yourself, don't you? outdoing my two "little guys" is no a easy feat *Nishi, nishi, nishi* You've amused me quite a bit! But being helped by a divine ancestor is quite unfair! So I'll even things up a bit~, I wonder what you can do against a third party? Hahahahahahahhaha!*

*Boooom*-Seconds after hearing the Voice of the deity manifest in the surroundings, another giant monkey appeared not far from where they were standing.

-You've got to be kidding me...

-Oh come on you damn monkey, give me a break!

And so, the battle for their survival continued...

-This aura... Is she a priestess?

-It looks like she's carrying a wounded boy with her. He's soaked in blood!

"Priestess?"

-Yes, that aura looks like that of a priestess.

-What does she want?

-Quick children!, open this barrier! This boy needs magical medical attention as soon as possible!

"A priestess is helping me? Wasn't it Ray-Whatever-be-her-name?"

-...His face! What are those disgusting veins?! What happened to that boy?!

-By the demon kings! I think he's under the influence of demonic corruption...!

-That's obvious! Now stop admiring him and open up!

-I'm sorry, I don't know you. We have strict orders not to let in anyone but demons. The monkeys keep multiplying!

-And on top of that, you look very suspicious. Even if you are a priestess...

-Saji, Momo!

-Kaichou!

-Sona-Kaichou!

-She's not a priestess, she's a divine ancestor. And she looks like she belongs to the fallen angels, so stay away from her. What do you want in this academy, Witch? If you're looking for shelter, you're in the wrong place. Make do as best you can against the forces of Sun-Wukong, by yourself.

-I don't have time for this, bat children! Call the redhead! That stuck-up girl! Rias! Yeah, she's in this academy, isn't she?! This kid doesn't have much time!

"Priestess...divine ancestor...Why do those words sound so familiar now...?"

-What are you talking about? Do you know Rias? Wait a minute, that's...what are you doing together with Akira Kusanagi?! No, it's more like...What happened to him?!

-"Ah, that's right. Lady, her ancestor; her great-great-great...that thing...was a priestess...But, I have the fell I heard something similar before..."

-Open meeeeee!

-Sona, you ran too fast!...This aura, I was right! It's them!

-You know them?, what's going on!

-I haven't had time to explain everything! Open the barrier! Let them through!

-Let a divine ancestor of another faction through?! Rias, have you gone mad?

-Open up this barrier, retarded children!

-Raynare, what in hell happened to Dante?!

-I don't have time to tell you that, the cowboy needs a massive blood infusion and anti-corruption therapy! But now!

"Oh, w-w-w-w-whatever, looks l-l-l-l-ike it's t-t-t-time to sleep f-f-f-for a w-w-w-hile.."

The consciousness of the now Kusanagi finally collapsed after having heard and thought that last, after he admired with blurred sight everything that was going on around him as he was being carried by Raynare from her back like a backpack, his face resting on one of the black-haired-woman´s shoulders at all times as he barely had the strength to keep it upright. The sounds were practically the only thing that his senses could capture clearly, since to his eyes only came the blurred figures that corresponded to a school enclosed under a kind of semi-transparent dome, and humanoid figures, which by the aura that he managed to capture from them, were demons.

Apparently they reached this place after Raynare levitated, but not before examining his body with a kind of spell that he did not fully understand when they finally defeated the two giant apes, based on their powerful kicks full of demonic powers of ice, cuts with his sword evoking the strength of the magical power that still remained, plus the help of some "heavenly" punches and powers type "Giant Spears of Light" by Raynare; After that ...

...Everything became cloudy. He couldn't remember for sure what had happened to him, his consciousness went into chaos. For some reason, after having defeated with great difficulty the last of those two apes, as if it was a lousy joke of fate, a third Ozaru ended up appearing. In the end, it had been a bitter battle, a battle that became worse than it already was, no doubt thanks to a Sun-Wukong watching them from somewhere and amusing himself with their suffering, until he got bored or had enough.

And after that, everything became blurry and full of mental gaps for the Kusanagi...

...Who, after finally passing out, began to have a vivid memory as his mind wandered through the realm of Morpheus...

The chaos in the ex-sparda's mind, turned into a paste full of lights and colors, which soon converged into images of what appeared to be a beautiful morning.

-'Mom! Vergil won't put down that silly book!'-In the scene of what appeared to be a beautiful garden in the large, open-air front yard of an old but well-kept mansion, a small boy of about 8 years of age appeared. His hair was white, and he was dressed like a boy belonging to the nobility, with clothes that were somewhat reminiscent of the Victorian style, and in his hand was a wooden sword. He approached a blonde-haired woman dressed in an elegant black dress with a turtleneck and a red shawl over her arms.

-Dante, I've already told you not to disturb your brother when he's reading *Sigh*'-Saying that with a slightly scolding tone plus a light sigh, the blonde patted the boy's head playfully, then ruffled his hair. Afterwards, she lifted the basket she held in her other hand, and continued picking the apples from the tree to one side of her, which was providing them ample shade from the sun-'Your brother likes to read a lot. He can't always be playing with you, little boy. You ought to take up reading more willingly, too, you know. Lately, you've slacked off in your studies.'

-'Geez Mom, reading is boring! I want to be like daddy, a very strong swordsman! A magical knight like Queen Artoria or Lancelot!'-At the same time he was complaining as he knows how, the boy moved the sword between his hands and imitated the movements of a swordsman for a moment-'Rescuing citizens and maidens from danger, living adventures and facing dragons, that's much better than reading'-At the end of his sentence, he pouted his lips, which got a chuckle from his mother plus a loving smile in between.

'-Dante, you complain about reading, but you love the Queen Artoria stories I've told you. I've also seen you reading them from time to time, don't you think it's paradoxical?

-'Hmmm..I...this...It's not the same thing!...?'-The little boy complained again like a child, until something in his mother's sentence confused him, so he said with a puzzled expression in between-'What is "paradoxical"?'-Seeing him like that, the blonde again let out a giggle when she answered him.

-'If you read more, you'd know. It means that something has two or more things that are "contradictory" or opposite at the same time: You like Queen Artoria's adventures, but you don't like reading very much, that's an example of something paradoxical.

-Aaaaaaaaaah...?

-'Hehehehe, you don't have to fully understand today. Go on, let your brother finish his reading and better help me pick the apples. This year, the tree yielded many more than last year. How about if I make you an apple pie in the evening?'-She invited him to join her after being amused by his still confused expression. Naturally, when the boy heard that, he was filled with the typical joy and excitement of a child.

-Yeah, that sounds great! And I could have strawberry ice cream too?!

-Hmmmm, the tree hasn't ripened yet. But I'll see what I can do. Maybe I can make grow a few.

-Thanks Mommy!

With that said, mother and son set off to pick the fruit from the apple tree. The sun set even higher in no time. It was all a beautiful moment, until the boy inadvertently cut his hand on one of the large thorns of the roses next to the apple tree when he tried to reach an apple that had fallen a little way into the rose bushes. In his attempt to reach the apple, he also ended up crushing a few roses.

-Ouch! It hurts, it hurts!

-'Be careful Dante. Don't get into those bushes'-With concern in her tone, the woman spoke as she approached the little boy, and pulled his body away from the rose bushes. She then saw his hand, and removed the long thorn that had almost completely pierced his small hand. That done, the wound recovered as if by magic. The act did not seem to impress neither the son nor the mother, who only dedicated herself to clean the blood that had remained while rubbing that hand-'Roses are delicate Dante, but roses can also hurt you if you don't know how to treat it'-Once she made sure that the white-haired boy was safe, she extended her hands in front of her, towards those roses that the Sparda had crushed-'So be more careful when you find a rose, you don't have to get hurt by touching it, and roses don't have to die because of a carelessness'- Said that, from the woman's hands, a kind of pristine and white aura was expelled; When the aura reached the flattened and slightly wilted plants, they recovered in just a few seconds as if by magic; their stems rose, and the leaves of their flowers regained their lost vitality.

That didn't seem to particularly impress the boy either, who only nodded affirmatively after having listened to her and wiped a wet eye because of having experienced that pain.

After that they continued collecting the other fruits that remained on the ground until they finally decided that it was enough: having their hands and basket full, they began their journey to the mansion, but not before the woman gave it a last look with a complicated smile in between to that tree, an expression that was captured by the child, who asked with curiosity the next moment:

-You really like that tree, don't you mommy?

-I could say that. Although more than anything, it gives me a pleasant fell of homesickness. And the apples it gives, they taste really good, don't they?

-'Yes!...Hmmmmm, Mom, what is "homesickness"?'-Not recognizing another word in a vocabulary he didn't seem to know, the little boy asked again with a confusion that continued to seem amusing to the blonde for a moment, but in the next moment she put on a slightly more serious face, when she said:

-''"homesickness" is a sense of loss for something that has left you, that has passed or you have lost, Dante. Hmmmp, I think you've slacked even more than I thought you had slacked in your studies. I'm going to make sure you read more from now on, young man.

-Oh no!

The boy complained again as he knew how, and in doing so was scolded tenderly for a moment by his mother before they entered the mansion.

-'Hmmmm, Mommy, so, if that means "homesickness"...Have you lost something?'-Shortly after entering the mansion, the boy's curiosity got the better of him again, so looking aside at his mother, he asked the above while raising an eyebrow.

-'You could say that'- As she answered the white-haired boy, she put on a bitter smile for a moment, but after her eyes focused on the boy next to her who was looking at her tenderly confused, her expression brightened, and with immense joy she finished her sentence-'But I won something much more important!'

-?

Not knowing what his mother was referring to, the Sparda's face became even more confused, however before his childish curiosity could ask a new question, they reached the kitchen, where his attention was immediately attracted by the snacks in it.

The day progressed rapidly from that point on, and the sunlight was soon about to stop shining through the kitchen windows. Finally the little boy finished helping his mother with the preparation of the Apple Pie and the strawberry ice cream: he kept sticking his finger in them to taste them before the time, something for which he was scolded by his mother on multiple occasions.

*Toc* *Toc* *Toc* -That was until the beautiful moment of mother and son in the kitchen was interrupted by a loud knocking coming from the front door of the mansion. Someone was knocking on the door with great desperation.

Then, the voice of an old and distressed woman came from that place:

-Madame Eva! Madame Eva! Please, I need your help! My husband! My husband, he has collapsed! I think he's having a heart attack!

Hearing that, both mother and son rushed to the entrance of the mansion, and when Eva finally opened the door, she was met with the image of an old woman dressed as a rather humble country citizen. She seemed to know the old woman, so she hurriedly asked the following question...

-Mrs. Eleonor? What happened to your husband? What can I do for y-y-y-y-y...?!...No! No! No! No! No! How did you pass through my barrier without me noticing?! How did you all pass through my barrier?!'-...until she noticed that something was very wrong, so her expression and her tone of voice were filled with horror at the end of her sentence just when she began to retreat step by step backwards, holding tightly one of Dante's arms with one of her hands when she passed it behind her body at the next moment.

-'My husband is dying of a heart attack, provoked...'- As the sentence of the "old woman" was completed, her body began to distort into a mass of horrible flesh that ended up exploding in a sea of blood, and turning into a kind of Reptilian demon of about 10 meters high, he had to duck to avoid destroying the ceiling in the process. Then the voice, of the "old woman" was no longer heard, and instead was changed to a voice, literally out of hell-'...Provoked, by the impression of having finally found the disgusting divine ancestor and his progeny hiding in this land after so many years'

-Our emperor always wanted to send a "wedding gift" to the "Heroic" Sparda, and the "priestess" Eva.

-So consider it an honor. Hahahahahahahaa!

The next demonic voices came not from that devil, but from two of the shadows swirling in one of the corners near the entrance of the mansion. Then more and more shadows converged, and little by little they began to change into the form of demons of all shapes and colors.

-DANTE, RUN!

*Booooooooom!*-The next thing that happened in the scene is unclear. After Eva extended a hand to the front after screaming in alarm at having seen the above, something exploded. And then the scene of this memory was cut...

...the next thing that the head of the now Kusanagi could recover, was the moment in which his house is on fire, and his mother is about to put him into a closet.

-'Come over here!'- She opened the closet, and introduced the white-haired boy inside. Before closing the closet, she would tell him the words he had always managed to remember from that day; words that had entered his heart in the first years of his first life'-You have to hide Dante! No matter what happens...Don't move! I have to find Vergil, I promise I'll be back. I know this is really hard, but you have to listen to me. Be an adult, be a man, okay?!...If I don't come back...you must run!...alone!...Change your name, forget your past and start a new life as someone different. A new beginning!'-Said that with great pain, the closet door closed...-'Vergil, where are you?! Vergil?!'...

...And Dante never saw his first mother, alive, ever again. The dream lived also ends there, because after that, the perpetual darkness would invade that memory...*1

*Shaky Breathing**Shaky Breathing**Shaky Breathing*-...The now Kusanagi woke up sweating profusely and breathing heavily. For a moment, he focused his attention on the dream he had just had, sad to have relived a past event, and confused after experiencing it; that day in his life had always been a blur. Was that what had happened before his old home burned down? He thought for a moment about what else he could remember from his childhood in that other life, his past before he turned 8 years old always appeared blurry and full of gaps when he tried to remember it, probably because of so many traumas he had repressed much of that period of his life, or at least that was what the psychology sections that sometimes appeared in the adult magazines he read when he went to the bathroom said. Why in hell did those magazines have informative sections? He never understood: who would care about such information when all you want from those magazines is to see tits and asses?

With that in mind, he focused his attention on the place where he was. He was lying on what looked like a bed. He was alone in the room, near him there were a few other empty beds with white sheets, they looked like those used in a hospital, although by the size of the place, it was probably an infirmary or a small clinic.

-What the hell? How did I get here?...Eh?! Is this blood?

The Kusanagi groaned as he lifted his trunk onto the bed. He quickly noticed that both of his arms had peripheral pathways channeling him to what looked like two red pouches hanging from metal tripods, found just to the side of his bed. He quickly realized their function: medical packets for blood transfusion, one of them was almost empty, and the other had only 1/3 of the blood it had contained. By the way, he was dressed only in his underpants, hidden by a hospital gown.

It didn't take him long to analyze what had probably happened. His whole body was already giving him a big clue after all. He was sore, he felt nauseous a couple of times, and he felt as tired as the time he hadn't slept for a week because he had gone to Vegas...

...Obviously because of an assignment, but he enjoyed the city more than enough after completing that job.

-If only I could use my Devil-Trigger, none of this would have happened. Fuck!

After scratching his head, he said those words to himself with great anger and frustration, later he punch the bed. He really wanted to go right now to rescue Issei and kick that monkey's ass, but the reality of his situation had once again struck him cruelly. With his injuries, and current strength range or enhanced with any of his magical weapons, there was probably no way he could make it on his own.

Nor did he possess any knowledge of any spell that could be strong enough to seal a God; in the past he accomplished that feat because he "Wish" strongly sealed "Mundus", and his demonic power simply created that miracle through his desire.

He didn't want to admit it openly, but he needed help...

...help from someone who knew the divine kind well enough. Or who possessed some kind of weapon, artifact or spell capable of dealing with a god.

And no one knows a god better, than another god.

The image of that person quickly came into his head.

He had to get to the "Black-Dog" as quickly as possible. He had already wasted too much time.

*Sigh*-Tony sighed again as he came to that conclusion. Just as he was removing one of the peripheral transfusion lines anchored to one of the veins in his forearm, the door to the entrance creaked open.

-Dan... Toni, are you awake?

-Rías?

-What are you doing? It's still too early for you to get up!

The future monarch of the Gremory family was the one who opened that door, carrying a tray full of food, which she placed on the small table at the entrance in a hurry when she saw how the Kusanagi nonchalantly removed the second peripheral line. No matter how fast she ran or complained, they were useless acts that failed to stop him, as Toni did not heed any warning.

After Rías calmed down (with great difficulty) when she saw that she could not convince Tony to rest like a good patient, the Kusanagi's obstinacy finally defeated her so she had no choice but to explain to him the current situation of the city after he asked her with great insistence...

...All the inhabitants of Kuoh city, and its surroundings had turned into primates, absolute chaos roaming all the houses, buildings and streets. The apes that had gone mad were slowly destroying the infrastructure of the city and attacking any magical creature that was not of their species, but there were still apes that seemed to behave in some strange way like human beings.

And the latter was the case of Toni´s family...

...When Rías heard his question about his loved ones, she invited him to put on a change of clothes she had prepared for him, since his previous clothes had been torn to shreds. Once he put on the black jeans and a simple blue T-shirt (despite feeling a great dislike for such color), she took him to where his relatives were while she explained in detail what had happened, which the Kusanagi thanked her; fortunately Rías had found them at home; Toni´s mother was doing the laundry, and his sister and father, eating in the kitchen like cavemen while they communicated through grunts and screams, like chimpanzees and gorillas. Perhaps that authority of Wukong, in some people provoked the belief that they had always been apes? Rias did not know for sure, she theorized that, after she put them to sleep with one of her basic spells shortly after entering that home, for once she and her servants were near them, they went berserk and tried to attack them.

Later with the help of her servants, she brought them to the academy, and locked them for their safety in a room of that old school building. She was showing that room at the time she told up to that moment. They were close to where she and her servants were taking refuge, in the Occult Research Club (ORC), as it was the place that made them feel most comfortable. More magic was used to keep them asleep, and to reinforce that room, which was being guarded by her servants, who took turns from time to time.

From a window, Tony watched the sleeping "apes" in the corner of the room as he listened to the explanation. Knowing that his parents and sister were safe was a huge breath of fresh air amidst all the crap he was currently living through, but that didn't stop him from making a bitter face at seeing them like that. However, he had to admit that this whole "Apocalyptic" situation, was honestly much better than any he had lived through in his past life, he didn't even want to think what would happen if a deity like "Argosax" had manifested in this city.

Past that, at the ORC he would find "Raynare" sitting one of the couches, being watched by some members of the ORC, plus Sona and Tsubaki. After they knew what she and Toni had been through, they agreed on a truce at least until this situation (hopefully) ended, but obviously they wouldn't let her roam around the academy, since most of the reincarnated demons and nobles devils that inhabited this city were taking refuge in the sports building. He quickly greeted the rest of the members of the ORC and Asia, and then he heard a lecture from the leader of the Gremory.

Rias would explain a bit to Tony about the barrier that was enveloping the academy, how useless it had been to try to break through the Wukong barrier placed in Hokkaido and/or the interference in communications, among other magical and political things that involved the history of the ancient war and the thin line that avoided another war with the angels and demons and why it was important that no one else knew of the help or presence of "Raynare"...

Later, Sona-Sitri tried to get information from him about how he got those demonic weapons, and about his powers, as she found it incredibly hard to believe that a human being could face more than one divine beast of that level, and live to tell about it (just like all the other members of the ORC, who still looked at him with bewilderment when they remembered the speed he was able to reach and how he kicked the giant monkey with an absurd force). But despite her and the others' insistent questions, Toni refused to give them clues about where he got his demonic weapons, and to get them to stop bothering him, he vaguely said the following: "My sacred-Gear is what gives me my magical power. And I was trained by an ancient martial monk of whom I cannot speak, as I took a blood oath not to reveal his identity or teachings. He is a hermit, cut off from the world, and wants to keep it that way~"

Hearing that, some people said things like "Wooow, that monk must be an incredibly powerful and talented person!" while others like Rias, Tsubaki, Sona and Raynare, had many doubts regarding that information.

And after that, Toni decided that he was no longer interested in socializing, so after knowing the current situation in depth, and ignoring more Sona's questions about his real background...

...he spoke privately with Rias and managed to convince her (with much reluctance) to let the "gatekeepers" of the principal door let him out outside the barrier of the academy, because he had come up with an idea to get help, and if he was lucky, that could get them out of this situation, or at least help them to communicate with someone outside of Hokkaido.

Obviously he didn't explain in detail; she didn't need to know that he was going to look for the leader of an enemy faction, and his "temporary escape" from the school had to be stealthy, as Raynare might suspect something, and he still needed her to support him in this crisis, even if she did it only to keep him from dying, as he was her means to meet Azzazel, So the best thing to do was not to tell her or make her suspect anything.

-'Faulty magic, let me through!'-If only everything had been as simple as that. He just had to convince Rias to let him sneak out, reach the "Black-Dog" from two cities away starting from Kuoh, avoid the humans-turned in monkeys/run away from them and/or avoid being followed, and upon arrival, with any luck, hope that Azzazel had a means to deal with the Monkey King. Unfortunately he seemed to forget that things don't always go as one wishes, for when he reached the wall at the bottom of that alley that was supposed to lead him to that magical dive bar, the "holographic" wall was no longer so intangible, for when he tried to cross it multiple times, he ran into what was an ordinary brick wall (in the final of an alley)-'Oh, come on! Don't fuck with me! What's going on with the "door"?'-Born out of Tony's frustration and worries, multiple insults were hurled into the air after spending a little over 20 minutes trying to get through that "door", to no avail.

*Puuuuuuuuuum*-That's what happened, until he finally let the force born out of his frustrations do the work. He hit the wall with such force with one of his fists, that bricks and concrete flew off as a hole that seemed to have been made by a wrecking ball formed in the wall. The hole revealed the interior of a generic two-story house, with no people in it, which Tony entered to make a quick inspection that he knew would be fruitless, as he was already sensing that under some unknown method, the magic that "connected" this place with the "Black-Dog" had disappeared, or something like that.

*Sigh*-After a dozen minutes sitting on a sofa inside that empty home, and after a long and tired sigh plus a fist released on the couch, he decided to give up and return to the academy, but not before at least stealing a red t-shirt he found in a closet to change that horrible dark blue shirt he was wearing. Before leaving, he wanted his trip to have served some purpose, even if it was minimal.

Needless to say how annoyed, frustrated and worried he felt, both with himself and with the failure of this objective; he had no idea how to find Azzazel, and that left him with practically only one viable option to end all this, before the heretic deity decided to do something that would exterminate the lives of all his loved ones plus the inhabitants of Kuoh, and even all of Hokkaido. He knew that going back to the academy would probably do no good, Rias and Sona had already discussed for hours, without finding the vestige of any plan that could help defeat the deity, and he had at least come up with something, except for one "thing".

One "thing" he pondered just as he set foot out of that alleyway just as he turned his head to a corner where he observed for a short time a human turned in ape in the distance (identified by the fact that he was still wearing clothes that were now too tight); the primate was looking at his image in the reflection of a store window; He seemed confused at first, he was touching his face as if he recognized it, and shortly after that he hit the glass multiple times until he broke it, and then he began to pull his hair out of his face quite wildly until he scratched himself and ended up tearing his face, as if the remnant of his conscience could not accept what he had become. Or maybe he had just gone crazy like the rest of the other apes?

*Sigh*-Perhaps Tony was too used to the cruelty of disastrous supernatural events so his sense of sadness and bewilderment was greatly lessened or inhibited, seeming rather cold when confronted with such things, but even so he could not help but feel sorry for those affected or killed in these situations. It still pricked his conscience both for those affected by the supernatural beings directly, or indirectly because of the disasters brought about by the fights he had with the beasts. He knew it was not his fault, and that he did it for the good of the majority, with a monetary gain on many occasions, but the casualties and those affected were things that could not be avoided, so he tried to think as little as possible about them and at the same time tried to eliminate the threats as quickly as possible, so he learned to work in his first life.

And that is why when he meditated all that when he saw that primate, he felt even more guilty when he thought of that "thing" that could give him a chance of victory against the monkey king. He took with one hand the demonic sword that hung from the sheath on his hips and looked at the edge of the blade for a brief moment. He was not afraid of losing his life if it meant keeping the city and those close to him safe, but he was afraid of taking the life of an innocent who was very close to him under the pretext of saving the majority, all due to his incompetence of not being able to achieve that goal without expelling the deity that possessed him, for he knew at least from Azzazel, that this sword in his hands was not just any dragon slayer sword. If he used the true power of this sword that belonged to a King, maybe...

-Hey boy! Over here!

-!-Tony's fatalistic thoughts were cut off when he heard a voice coming from behind him. A voice that he seemed to recognize all too well, but that didn't match what he saw. -'What's with that guy eating the garbage? I could have sworn I heard Azzazel'- When he turned his head towards the entrance of that alley he had just left, he came across the image of a common black-haired goat, eating the garbage that was piled up in the corner of the alley, looking at him straight ahead with his head slightly cocked to one side as he chewed on a can.

-'Fantastic, you're still alive! I thought that monkey's armies had wiped you out, but inexplicably, here you are! Walking and all! You never cease to amaze me!'- To the Kusanagi's surprise, the goat soon spoke! And his voice was identical to Azzazel's! Strangely the voice was not cut off by the fact that the goat was consuming another piece of crap quickly. It was as if the goat was just carrying some speakers somewhere, as it seemed not to occupy the snout to talk. It also looked like Azzazel had done a bit of spying, Toni thought, given those words.

-'What's wrong with you and your goat costume? Couldn't you have chosen something more fitting, like a raven or something less absurd for a change? But more importantly... Why are you eating the garbage?! ~'-Toni soon realized that this goat possessed a fairly strong magical power, although not as strong as Azzazel's, so he thought it was some kind of disguise that hid his presence or something like that, because he even managed to surprise his sixth sense, but leaving aside his mockery, he was really glad to have met him, even if it was in such an absurd situation.

The goat spoke again after the Kusanagi went a bit into that alley along with him, it was obvious that the goat/Azzazel wanted to avoid being seen by any of the apes.

-'You're never completely happy with any of the skills I show you, are you?'-The voice emitted by the goat took on an annoyed tone for a moment, which got worse when Toni shrugged his shoulders-'Forget about the garbage. This guy never listens to me completely'

-Ooook?'-The black-haired man decided to focus on what's important, there were more important things to talk about-'Anyway, to get to the point, man, what the hell happened to the Black-Dog?! Damn, for a moment there I thought I'd never see you again'

A sigh full of complex emotions was heard coming from the black-haired animal before the voice of the Grigorian was heard again.

-The Black-Dog has moved to another dimension Dante, this area is not safe.

-'It's moved to another dimension?...Is it like Constantine's house of mystery or what the hell?~'-Not that he was too surprised by the act itself, as he had already experienced things like that in his first life, but Toni was still a bit surprised as he didn't expect that sleazy bar to have such advanced functions.

-You're not far wrong~. Anyway, as long as that heretic god is free, any place is no longer safe. That god with the screws loose knows almost any methods to travel to heaven and hell from almost any mythology. It's not hard to guess that I'm one of that monkey's main targets, so I've returned to "Grigori" to deploy our defenses. We're on high alert in case he attacks.

-Aaaah, I see. That explains quite a bit. Have you done any spying on the area or anything like that yet?

-Something here and there, I saw how you and one of my "subordinates" confronted those giant monkeys, you made a lot of noise, you know?, but I still don't understand how all this calamity happened! Do you have any idea how the heretic-god got free? Or why it appeared in Kuoh City?!

-You see...*sigh*...You should have told me in the first place that the divine artifact "Cheater" you tasked me with finding, was a freaking divine psycho locked in a statue! Old man, something like that, you don't omit it to the mercenary who does your dirty work best!...

And thus began the black-haired man's explanation. With a bit of annoyance, seriousness, and a bit of sarcasm, he soon explained to Azzazel the situation. And after hearing him out and emitting a "I'm sorry" and "Fuck" on at least one occasion along with a very tired sigh, the Grigori leader finally spoke again through his animal servant.

-Sorry again Dante, but that seal was not supposed to weaken so soon, I never expected a dragon to come closer than 72 meters from the statue, and those who knew that "artifact" knew to avoid such a presence at all costs in that distance radius. That the bearer of the Boosted-Gear would appear so unexpectedly, and in that specific location, was a situation that could hardly have occurred. Not to mention, SGs containing dragons or dragon parts inside are extremely rare. In short, I wanted to save you the "inconvenience" of knowing that you were dealing with something very dangerous, it was better if you just believed it was a "magical statue."

-'Hmmmmm. Geez, whatever, it doesn't matter at a time like this. The worst situation ended up happening'-After hearing that, the ex-sparda struck a thoughtful pose, until he scratched his hair in frustration. He didn't really want any apology from him, he just wanted to complain, withholding information from a mercenary is common, and he himself also didn't know that his friend possessed an SG with a dragon inside, so even if he had known that the divine artifact would react to a dragon, this disaster would still have happened.

-Sorry it happened *Sigh* And honestly, it pains me to admit that my organization had been robbed of something so valuable, and that it has been used somewhat... "dirty and impulsively" in the past and in the recent future despite my current objections. You know what I mean?.

-'You still sound like the classic employer with a dirty past he wants to hide or overcome, but I'm not one to judge you'-Toni shrugged at the end of his sentence, and then continued-'In any case, the reason I wanted to see you is not to hear your apologies or explanations, I just want to know if you have any idea or method to defeat that monkey before it ends up destroying this city...Or any method to free my friend from its possession...Eeeeh?...'

...And after asking his question the black-haired man let out a slight confused groan when he saw how the goat in front of him started to grow as if by magic, until it was a few meters tall and wide. And on top of that, the goat took on a "grotesque" appearance; multiple eyes appeared on its face, whiskers that seemed to twist like tentacles descended from its snout, and a pair of huge horns grew on top of its head, with more tentacles...Then Azzazel's voice was heard again as the huge animal opened its enormous snout.

-'I knew you would ask something like that. This "natural disaster", although I don't like to admit it, is the fault of the traitors in my organization, so I had already thought of taking responsibility and finding a way to correct it. For obvious reasons I can't warn the demon kings about this so that they go to defend the territory of their relatives, they would be useful but the chances of them discovering Grigori's guilt and the instability of our organization are huge...And after hearing you, I have finally come up with 3 "suitable" possibilities. I have already invoked one of them, and at this moment "it" is already here by my side. Take it with caution from this "throat"...'-When the giant goat opened its huge snout, it revealed a kind of transparent circular image, in the background of which appeared the image of Azzazel, dressed in a suit and sitting on a simple chair in what looked like an empty room; next to him was a kind of rectangular box covered by black bandages. All that could be seen deep in the dark background of that animal's throat, as if it had some kind of "circular TV" screen in its throat or a...

-What the hell?, this scum-eating goat has a portal in its throat?

...Yes, that was the only description the ex-sparda could come up with. Apparently the he had never seen the "Oslo" dog from the anime/manga Nanatzu-No-Taizai.

Despite toni slight bewilderment, the Grigori leader did not answer that question, and instead took that rectangle wrapped in bandages that could be seen to one side of him through the portal, and extended it to the front, so it passed through the portal to the throat of the animal, and then into the hands of the black-haired man, who quickly understood that he should grab it. That done, when Azzazel saw the confusion on the Kusanagi's face as he held that rectangle, the fallen angel said:

-'What you now hold in your hands is the "grimoire" of a strange deity who passed away some 500 years ago... It has a strange name, but you can call it as "Nitocris´s Mirror"'-Through the portal, Azzazel threw a kind of envelope for letters to the black-haired man, which he caught with his free hand once it came out of that throat- 'It has an evil spirit that will drag the target that is designated by the "master" of the mirror, into the mirror, as long as the target is reflected in the mirror. The mirror's crystal has a nightmarish dimension from which, in theory, there is no escape, for once inside, the creature consumes the prisoner's life until it is eventually extinguished. It has been occupied by my organization in the past, to deal with those we cannot defeat, or who are difficult to kill. Since you seem to know about one of my businesses on earth, DC Comics, think of it as an even more dangerous "Phantom Zone". Don't worry, at the moment the "mirror" is not active. The "creature" has been sealed with those black bandages, but once you release them and recite the incantation I provide in that letter, you can use it against Sun-Wukong'

-'I think...I understand'-Holding a sort of mirror-operated dimensional prison in his hands didn't puzzle or surprise him too much, and neither did the fact that it is an "object" that apparently belonged to a demonic or evil deity. What confused him the most was the comment about DC comics. He owned it?! And why did he need a business like that?! Other than that he had taken in almost all the information from the fallen angel, who usually didn't stop talking when he focused on science and magic, ignoring the fact that not everyone could keep up with him at the same speed. Once he shook his head to shake off the confusing ideas, Dante inquired what concerned him most about this plan-'Wait! Wouldn't that trap Issei in the mirror too? That means I'm going to have to...!'

-'Hahahaha! What do you take me for? For an amateur?'-With a smug smile in between, the black angel continued-'I said that the evil spirit only drags the target designated by its "master" and reflected in the mirror, that means that if you designate "Sun-Wukong" as the target, it will only drag Sun-Wukong into the mirror because even though at this moment "Sun-Wukong" and Issei are one, they are still two people, and The target of the "thing in the mirror" can also be directed into the soul of the one who is reflected in the mirror, for in essence his soul is also being reflected in the crystal. So it can also be used to extract the souls of enemies that are reflected in it, or to theoretically extract spirits that have possessed someone.'

-'Okay, that does sound like a good plan already'-Hearing that last, Toni nodded his head, and smiled broadly for the first time since this whole mess started. He finally had the beginnings of a plan that could become solid.

Ignoring Toni´s thoughts, the black angel said again with great seriousness, expressed both by his expression and tone:

-Dante, listen carefully. Although it sounds like a not so far-fetched plan, it is not. First of all, you are holding the materialized "Authority" of a god that was preserved even after his death, so unlike any other weapon I have given you, it is not "calibrated" for you to use. Those mortals who make use of its powers usually perish or are left in very bad shape; their organs usually "liquefy" after using the thing. You are an anomaly, so you have a chance of survival if you use it, but since you have struck a "deal" with Raynare, If you convince her to help you, she would be a better user. Secondly, the monkey king should not notice the mirror until the last moment, he is too perceptive and could escape if he realizes the function of that thing, you should come up with a plan that allows you to avoid his giant monkeys and get close to him as quickly as possible. And thirdly, the moment I detect that this "grimoire" has fallen out of your or Raynare's hands, I will summon it back to Grigori. I can't let that fall into enemy hands, so you'll only have one chance to try to lock up the Monkey-King, or you'll have no choice but to use the sword option, got it?

-'Seems fair enough. It's already more than I had a while ago'-A grimace of displeasure appeared on the Kusanagi's face as he recognized all the implications that the Grigorian had informed him of, but this was definitely a better path than he had thought of before he encountered the goat.

-Now, also keep in mind that if you fail to stop him, I will use the last option I came up with to resolve that conflict. I will send my "Best Warrior" to that place to finish off the great sage, and that...I'd rather not do that. Too many cities, islands or even a country could disappear from the map, if he intervenes in a fight involving the red dragon. So don't lose. *sigh*

-Your best warrior? Has he already destroyed a country? O.o

-I'd rather not talk about him...He's conflicted, to say the least...

-Okay, whatever. Anyway, thanks for this, man. I finally have a chance to reverse the score.

-I wish you the best of success...And if this is the last time we talk, I want to tell you that even though you're the most annoying brat I've ever met, you were my best guinea pig ever.

-Hey, don't leave me for dead so quickly!

-Hahahahaha!, Goodbye, and good luck!

-See you next time decrepit old man!

And in that peculiar way those two said goodbye as if they were old friends who can't show friendship in a normal way.

-'Eeh!'-And in case you were wondering, Azzazel disappeared the next moment, just as strangely as he appeared. The giant goat ended up eating itself after it gobbled up its hind legs, and then gobbled up its trunk, until it disappeared as if by magic or as if it were a shameless copy of "Oslo"-'What in the hell is wrong with that goat?'

Having said the above, the ex-sparda ran as fast as he could towards the Kuoh academy, carrying with him everything the black angel had given him. A serious look on his face was expressed when he ran in the way as he thought of a way to find Sun-Wukong, and to come up with a good enough strategy to use the mysterious mirror.

Mount Asahi is a mountain located near the city of Kuoh in Hokkaido, just 70 km away from that city, and 50 km away from the city Higashikawa. It is the highest mountain of this Japanese island and is located in the northern part of Daisetsuzan National Park. Its native Ainu name is "Kamui-mintara", meaning "the playground of the gods", and it has an altitude of 2291 meters above sea level.

Sugatami Pond, directly below the peak, is famous for its reflection of the peaks, snow and steam escaping from the volcanic vents.

The mountain is popular with hikers in the summer and can be easily reached from "Asahidake-Onsen" via the Asahidake cable car. This place is part of the Daisetsuzan Volcanic Group of the Ishikari Mountains, and is actually a relatively "quiet" volcano. It has had only some slight volcanic activity over the last few decades.

Due to the high concentration of iron, the soil and rocks in the surrounding area have a reddish hue. This mountain and its surroundings are both a volcano and a treasure cave, as it is full of minerals, as well as volcanic vents and hot springs.

So for a god of war, and of steel (among other things) like Sun-Wukong, volcanoes and minerals were like a hot water area for bathing newborn children. It also provided a secluded place in which he could concentrate uninterrupted on his primary and secondary objective, fully restore his divine power, and unlock the magic of [Boosted-Gear]. Though just in case, he had left a few 'Ozaru' in the vicinity of this territory, as sentries to prevent anyone from disturbing him.

-'For the purpose of increasing my power, there is no better place than this...'-The great sage who equals the sky, Sun Wukong muttered to himself on the mountain top where he was sitting, in a meditative position. He sat on the reddish rock, murmuring to himself.

The body and voice still belonged to Hyodou-Issei, but the personality and divine power belonged to the heretical monkey god. Perched on the giant rock at this high altitude was a glass bottle that had a white, milk-like liquid inside. The bottle containing the liquid was not very large, but not very small either, mystical inscriptions were scrawled all along its glass.

-'...But this brat's body is so weak it's pitiful. If I use the [Juggernaut-Drive], his body will explode. Don't you think so Draig?'-Saying that, the monkey king looked out of the corner of his eye at the extensive red gauntlet covering the left hand of the body he had stolen. The green jewel in the center of the gauntlet soon glowed after he asked his question.

Then, a voice with a deep tone and that seemed quite annoying, seemed to be emitted from that jewel.

-*[Wukong, stop playing games and release my bearer! If you want to fight me, wait patiently for this child to become stronger! I will no longer tolerate your interference in my fated battle with the white dragon!]

-Uuuh? What's with the attitude? You should be grateful that I will quickly fix this flimsy "Vessel"~ I assure you that the [Amrita] I stole from the gods of Mount Meru, will "refine" this body and improve other wonders~

-*[I'm not interested! I refuse to be used by you any longer! Get out!]

-You refuse? Hohoho! Oh, my dear friend, there's really nothing you can do to stop me!

-*[Friends? We're not friends you fucking monkey!*]

-Draig don't be so hard, you'll break my heart~ Nihahaha!

It had been almost a day since he managed to escape from that marble "statue". And all this time he had focused on recovering the rest of his divine power that had still been sealed, which he achieved after a few hours, after using for a long time a forbidden spell that ended up completely breaking the seal placed by the merciless [Sparda] eons ago; the help of the extra magical power that the [Boosted-Gear] gave him was of great help too, so in reality he no longer needed to continue using his "container", so the fact that he continued possessing the gremory´s servant was just a whim that greatly annoyed the dragon sealed inside the sacro-apparatus.

It was a whim born of the heretic nature of the monkey king; he among many other things, was a plunderer, a thief, a liar; if he could obtain more power or become even more immortal thanks to an artifact-object-fruit-pill-weapon-etc. he would use it, and if it was not his he would obtain it or make it his own. That was his heretic nature engraved in his myth.

So why should he let the boy go free when he could stay forever with the [Boosted-Gear], and have an everlasting "friendship" with an old rival? By completely mastering the sacro-apparatus, no one could ever seal it again, no one could ever stop it again. He would become absolutely immortal and invincible!

He could visualize himself defeating any god or demon, and fighting with [Albion] eternally. Cycles and cycles of [Divine-Dividing] wielders would easily rise and fall before him! And that sounded too much fun to let go! Could it be considered cheating to use Draig? Well, he was also a dragon-dominating god, so he was just following his other nature openly. Of course, he would only use it in necessary cases where his enormous and (almost insurmountable) own strength would not suffice, and besides, it would be the fault of his future rivals for being so weak. He had earned this new toy, and no one had the right to take it away from him!...

...And he had almost made the Sacred-gear his own, despite the complaints of his now new draconic traveling companion. He only had a few last steps to go. He had already mastered the second release, and had even forced the Balance-Breaker by using his abysmal divine power as a conduit. All that remained was to increase the resistance of the reincarnated devil's body so that it could withstand the magic of his sacral-apparatus without self-destructing. If he could use his divine power it was because he did not directly "imbue" his divine power into the boy's magical "channels", but with the "Sacred-Gear" that the boy possessed, that obviously could not be done, the power had to flow directly from the soul and body of its container, so using it to its maximum capacity was impossible if it did not possess adequate resistance...

...and besides, the other problem to use this weapon at full power was the seals that the biblical god placed inside it. Seals that he was able to identify after a thorough magical inspection of the core of this sacred-gear. Seals that seemed to hide, and stop the true power of Draig...

...When he realized that, the monkey king was furious. How dare that idiot try to come between him and his new toy!?How dare he come between him and his new red-scaled pet!?...

...He was going to prove to that "divine corpse", that any kind of magic trap or "lock" was useless against him!

With the above in mind, his eyes focused on the strange bottle filled with that white liquid. The [Amrita] is an elixir born from a place known as "the ocean of milk" that first of all, grants eternal life to the one who drinks at least one glass; it also strengthens the body, and the soul "absurdly". But besides that, if the one who drinks it is worthy, the [Amrita] will create a miracle; it can fulfill a wish of its consumer...

...Countless gods, demigods, demons and beasts fought over this divine substance in the Indu "heaven", until the main gods of that myth sealed the "ocean of milk" forever.

Nowadays if one is not a god possessing an authority related to the ocean of milk or to the myth of the [Amrita] itself, it is impossible to obtain it even if one travels to the mythological world that gave rise to it.

Ah, but he had managed to steal this "magic object" from [Garuda] hundreds of years ago. [Garuda] a huge bird-man who had once stolen some of [Amrita] for various reasons from the gods of India. He obtained this authority from that deity, and now this bottle belongs to him.

-'Thief who steals from another thief, has a thousand years of forgiveness~' *Nishi, nishi, nishi'*-Once that was said and the strange laughter was evoked. The deity took the flask with one hand, while with the other he performed a mudra. And then, he performed an incantation. He needed to direct the magic of the "miracle" effect of the [Amrita] if he wanted to unblock the forbidden seal placed by the biblical god...

...Otherwise, an absurd wish of its "container" might be fulfilled, and that would not be useful at all...

-'O wisdom of steel originating in the far west, and the divine power of iron! Using the lineage of this divine elixir as a base. I, the great sage equal to heaven, Sun Wukong enacted the spell to lift the lock!'-After shouting loudly, The inscriptions on the bottle released a mystical light, just as the monkey king drank all of its contents with a large gulp. Absorbing the immense divine power of the [Amrita], the body of the "container" of the great sage, Hyodou-Issei's body was engulfed in flames. Like the intense blazing fire of the iron forge, the pillars of flames emanated scorching heat-'Namah samanta vajranam canda maharasona sphotaya hum trat ham mam namah samanta vajranam canda maharosana sphotaya hum trat ham' *2

As the great sage recited the spell words, his mind "split" so that a part of his consciousness traveled to the small inner world that lay deep within the nucleus of the Boosted-Gear.

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

Within that small inner world, Wukong would visualize the seal slowly breaking. The place was quite similar to what one might find in the inner world of a certain Manga/Anime character inside, with a red dragon in place of a fox behind what appeared to be a cell of bars that seemed to be made of white metal or marble...

...Said bars possessed an almost infinite amount of angelic magic symbols throughout, plus layers and layers of small forbidden magic circles that prevented Wukong's "spiritual" body from crossing or getting very close to that "cell".

Needless to say that once the deity appeared in this place, he was severely and continuously insulted by the red dragon behind the bars, who did not take long to throw a giant flame of fire at him, which was repelled and annulled when it touched those magic circles.

Near where "the deity" had appeared in this "world", there was a "statue" that had the figure of the teenager we all know. That was probably Hyodou-Issei's consciousness, "asleep and controlled" thanks to the influence of the monkey king.

*Shake* *Shake*- Shortly after this portion of Wukong's consciousness arrived, this small world began to tremble as the angelic inscriptions along with the magic circles that covered and/or "walled" the cell began to explode and/or disappear, layer by layer.

When the last of those seals was finally destroyed, the monkey king approached the cell, stopping just a step away from one of the bars. Then he focused on that huge dragon, and with an arrogant smile in between he enunciated:

-'Draig, aren't you excited?~ I don't even know what's going to happen when this cell colapsed!...Hey, stop trying to burn me lizard! I'm not really here, you know that right?~'-The flames that the dragon threw at him when he approached, only went through his body as if he were some kind of specter, so the deity invited his "partner" to stop, without much success because Draig only seemed even more enraged by that attitude of him.

-The only thing that's going to happen is that I'm going to crush you when I get out of here! Are you such a dumb monkey, that you didn't realize the true purpose of all those seals?

- What do you mean? You're just a soul trapped in a Divine artifact, you can't do anything to stop me from doing whatever I please with you lizard. You know, I'm going to have to correct that attitude of yours, You need to start respecting your new master more~ Be a good dog and let me put you on a leash! *shriek* *shriek* *shriek* *shriek* Hahahaha!

Hearing those mocking whistles that tried to denigrate him as if he were a dog, Draig no longer launched another flare, but instead grinned maniacally, as he occupied his two large clawed front paws to effortlessly pry open the bars of the cage. Then, he brought its massive head close to the spectral body of the monkey king, and focused its large eyes full of killer instinct on the piece of the deity's consciousness.

-There is something very special I have prepared for you! By releasing all my power, you have also released my true name, along with all the abilities I developed in life, you stupid monkey. And because of what this sacred-gear you so irresponsibly altered is "telling" me right now, now in addition to [Boost] and [Transfer], I can use the powers that made the divine class tremble.

- You mean [Penetrate], or your [Burning Hell]?, don't make me laugh, I've already survived those things if I remember correctly. And in any case, it´s my powers now, not yours. I'm going to be the one who's going to be able to use them! Hahahaha!

-There's one you never got a chance to see, because you were never skilled enough to kill me at least once. And it's the reason why I, Draig Goch was locked and "anchored" in this artifact! I'm still bound to this place, but I can definitely use it to crush you now...!

*Shake* *Shake* *Shake* *Shake* *Shake* *Shake**Shake*-That said with great pride and a bit of anger, Draig's entire spiritual body was filled with a powerful green aura as the Boosted-Gear's inner world seemed to crumble with shaking and trembling, almost on the verge of collapse. And that done, the last word of the dragon's next statement would leave the monkey king quite confused.

-Appreciate for the first time my [Resurrection]!

-Uh?!

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

Almost immediately after that happened, that portion of monkey king's consciousness was expelled from that little inner world after Draig expelled that amount of magic...

-ham mam namah samanta...Ehhh?!

...And then the chant that had continued for several hours, stopped being uttered from the mouth of his "container" just as he cried out in surprise as a huge figure began to manifest on the horizon, after particles of light were expelled from the red gauntlet on the left arm of his "vessel", the green jewel of it glowing madly and displaying a symbol that could well mean [Error] in some kind of ancient language plus a kind of simbols that seemed to mark an extensive countdown

-'It can't be...'-The particles of light soon reconstituted themselves into a huge red dragon that from the monkey king's perspective was almost covering the sun! The deity looked rather puzzled for a moment, until a strange smile appeared on his stolen face-'Draig I'm a genius! I brought you back to life! Hahahahahaha!

-*ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR*-Actually, the huge red dragon let out a roar full of fury that set all the surroundings trembling. Rocks falling madly into the crater of the volcano. He didn't plan to respond to its taunts and maniacal laughter with more words, its fangs and claws would take care of exterminating him and his user it had possessed, even if it meant he would have to wait for another "cycle" to be able to face the white dragon.

The flames that the dragon released after emitting that roar were about to envelop the great sage...

...However, before the fire consumed the body he was possessing, he summoned a kind of staff that seemed to be made of gold, and then jumped directly into the flames at the same time that a smile full of madness was drawn at the corner of his lips.

To be continued...

Author's message: You're probably saying something like: "Hey, that thing you did with draig is still too sudden to happen!"...I have my own plans for the dragon very different from the original story, and if you read the advance at the end of the prologue-chapter 1, this gives you an explanation of what's going to happen. I'm sorry (but he wont die, so calm dowm)

I can't think of anything else to say, I hope you liked the chapter. Read the clarifications in case you have more doubts or if you want more clues, best regards!

Chapter Clarifications:

*1 I don't want to be told, "Hey, that's too sudden. There wasn't even a sign!" when "It" happens in this story, so I've left this in this chapter to avoid being told the above. What is "It" ?: In chapter 1 I left you a clue, and in this little unlocked memory I left you another clue. Make your own guesses until "it" happens. I remind you, the DMC Lore was altered in this fic so that the DXD, Campione and DMC franchises can coexist, and besides, I also included my changes in [Campione]'s characters, as "it" that i will do, as I thought it was a good idea, to give a sense of identity to the fic with [Campione] and a sense of identity of Dante with the race he will become after killing his first god; and I will also explain in a better way why a certain character in that other world ruled by Mundus had so much influence. ...you can no longer say that you not have many clues.

*2 It is a sentence-incantation in Sanskrit language that appears in the original work of Campione. No idea what it means.

Library:

Azzazel's Authority Revealed:

Scapegoat: Born from one of the most representative myths of this fallen angel, this divine ability allows Azzazel to perform magical feats related to the concept of a "Scapegoat". So far it seems that the first ability of this authority, allows him to summon a Goat/Goat-like divine beast that possesses powers related to dimensional travel and communication. It probably functions both as a form of escape and as an "Avatar" that allows Azzazel to send messages from a distance, among other things. It appears that the goat cannot be fully controlled by its master, since it still behaves like an animal despite functioning as a messenger. It is unknown if his transportation functions were added by Azzazel by some other method that does not involve his original authority.

David Alejandro Gmez Fernandez:

hehehe, I know, for the original [campione] novel, dante could already face one of them just with the strength he showed in the previous chapter XD, but I'm using the destructive power levels of the DXD novel as a "base", so it will look crazy when he becomes a campione in this story hehe,

best regards!

sloksingh45:

Hi, thank you for leaving your message :) I'm glad you liked this history :D. I hope you liked this chapter.

Best regards!

Slycerr:

thanks for the constructive criticism :), when I have the time I will improve that part. I hope you liked this chapter.

best regards, and have a great day.

DevilsNeverCry:

Hi, thank you for leaving your message :). I have already solved that situation involving Nero and the Qlippoth; there will be chapters in which I show the DMC world where I will explain that. There will also be some development of Nero, among other characters as the family he formed with Kyrie, so with time, you will know what happened after Dante and vergil died and revived in such a strange way hehe

best regards!

Red Dusk:

Hi, thanks for leaving your message :). As you already read, this chapter was mainly focused on something calmer, as well as most of the next one will be. I understand your point, I think sometimes I get too excited about the action and leave out the quiet moments. There will be more character development, and plots that don't involve fights like the ones you mentioned before.

Best regards, and have a great day.

Trueopulence:

hey, thanks for leaving your message :). I'm glad you liked the previous chapter :D...Thanks for the praise hehe, I've read quite a lot of DXD and campione novels, and I'm also a "decent" connoisseur of dmc lore, so I had to think for quite a while on how to integrate it all, although I did "block" in many occasions. Don't worry, I never thought you were being sarcastic...(and besides sarcasm doesn't bother me if it's used to make the other person better or as a joke or to show reality hehe- I'm a fan of characters like dr house, and similar, so I love sarcasm :V )

I hope you like this chapter too!

Best regards and have a great week!
