Secret Mission 01: Stop Son-Goku at any cost! (4)

Dragons are truly incredible creatures...

...They exist in almost all the mythologies of the human world...

...They come in many shapes and colors...

...They possess powers too diverse to count...

...They represent very diverse symbolisms of humanity...

...And besides possessing the advantages of the "dragon" class as such, they can also have an "extra" attribute. For example: They can be gods, divine beasts, demons, or authorities in themselves.

However, they all have one thing in common...

...They represent mother earth.

These magical creatures were born from the imagination of human beings who conceptualize the ideas they have about the enormous power of the earth; both its fertility and its dangerousness, both its benevolence and its implacable character. And that connection is given through the snakes; because these animals of the mortal world, crawl on the ground, prey on it, hide in caves or holes, crawl through bushes and trees, consume carrion, etc ..., but although snakes seem threatening or harmful, snakes eliminate pests, and help restore the ecosystem, among other things.

Humanity realized this countless centuries ago, and then imagined dragons from the snakes...

...And that is why almost all mythologies have these creatures despite the fact that there were human civilizations that never had contact with each othe: that was because dragons were born from that primordial idea.

And approximately 1500 years ago from the present age...

...in a myth born in one of the islands once known as [Albion]...

...two mighty dragons were imagined.

One was a symbol of the Saxons, a symbol of division, a symbol of a land and a past that had to be taken for the sake of ending the chaos then reigning.

The other was born as the symbol of the union of peoples, symbol of protection, symbol of a conquest to be made for the sake of order.

One represented salvation, and the other represented evil.

One represented victory, and the other represented imminent defeat.

One represented the advent of King "Arthur," and the other the fall of the evil king "Vortigern."

They possessed an enormous strength that was granted through the stories that were told about them, and through their connection with the earth; And despite the fact that they were never imagined as gods, mankind on those islands worshipped them in such intensity, with such vehemence, and with such respect, that inevitably and unwittingly, they ended up turning them from simple dragons, to divine beasts that could well be considered gods in their own right:

"Red Dragon, protect our king. Grant him your mighty name, so that he may become invincible while awaiting the arrival of the blessed son. Now your name is no longer Uther son of Constantine, now you are Uther Pendragon (Dragon's Head)."

"Red dragon, sacred symbol of our king. Guardian of all Wales and Britain, invincible Guardian awaiting the coming to this land of the incarnation of god himself; Arthur."

"White Dragon, representative of the true land we tread, remove the invaders, and grant them your sacred judgment."

"White Dragon give your blood to the true King of this land, 'Vortigern', and turn him into one as strong as a god, so that he may destroy our enemies without mercy."

Things like that were told initially or added later in the [Arthurian myths] by some person (or "persons"). These stories made a vast number of human beings believe that this was the original story of the events that originated the myths of the Arthurian legend, while others interpreted them as symbolisms of a war between ancient peoples and kings of those islands: but whatever the case may have been, in time those dragons were idolized almost as much as King Arthur and his round table...

...They were idolized almost as if they were gods...

...And when a mythological character is idolized with so much faith, and vehemence at the same time that he/she is associated with a divine figure, even if he/she was not conceived as a god in the beginning, he/she will end up becoming one.

That is a principle of the supernatural "laws" that govern this, or other worlds.

That being understood...

...in time, those myths came to life; The mythological dimension of those dragons would later connect with the mortal plane, and for "some" reason would manage to develop its own history unlinked from the [Myths] that gave it life as is the case of the hell (and all the other mythological worlds in Earth, currently); and then that dimension would be known as the [Divine Camelot].

But before that happened...

...when that dimension was still separate from the mortal world...

...those dragons called [Ddraig] and [Albion], escaped in advance from a myth that did nothing but bore them...

...For no matter what they did, any creature in that mythological world other than themselves was destined to perish under their invincible fire or poison.

Once they became aware of themselves, and realized that they were trapped in a story that perpetually told the same events with no possibility of choosing another path, or of choosing other enemies...

...they got tired of living there, they got tired of that mythological world, and looked for their own paths in the world of mortals. Paths that led them to meet other mythological worlds, and other adversaries...

...But more importantly, paths that did not involve "divinity."

[Ddraig] tired of having an authority that gave him an [Infernal Fire] that incinerated everything very easily, and [Albion] tired of an authority that gave him a [Primordial Poison] that extinguished everything, very easily...

...including almost all them enemies...

...Except for themselves, of course...

...At some point, realizing that they could not have a real fight and rivalry among themselves with those powers, and that adrenaline in battle could not exist with those [Authorities], they somehow [Sealed] their divinities by sealing their ['Last Names'], and thus became "simple" dragons, without acquiring the classic appearance of a "divine Ancestor"...

...Most probably because they were never imagined with a human appearance, or because they could not imagine themselves in that form, or perhaps because they could not take any other form, or may be because their divinity was sealed and not lost...

...In any case, those dragons that lacked the attribute of "divinity" became weaker...

...But no less stubborn, persevering, brave, intelligent, or violent...

...Their "weakness" lasted only for a time, a time that was not very long, by magical "standards"...

...For sooner or later, after some kind of unheard-of training full of stubborn "draconic" desires...

...all the gods of the different mythologies would end up giving the title of [Celestial Dragons] to those lizards that managed to reach and even surpass the power of the gods, without being fully gods...

...They ascended to greatness with a simple idea in mind. To be stronger than their rival, at any cost...

[Draig] and [Albion] developed physical strength and forbidden draconic abilities that enemies who crossed their paths would never forget.

That path and powers they developed, allowed them to feel truly "self-realized" with themselves; they felt truly free, and at last were able to fully savor the field of war among themselves, and among those they used as "training bags".

Of course...

...Only very few in the world know this truth. A truth that led the two dragons to their inevitable death, and subsequent sealing of their souls in the sacred-gears that the entire magical world knows.

And it was all due to one thing: They never stopped being what they were; battle maniacs.

The plan was simple...

...in theory it seemed too simple...

...Or at least that's what Rías thought only for a moment when she remembered how it had been conspired.

[Sona] would be in charge of distracting one of the 'Ozarus' located in the east of Mount Asashi, which would leave Dante, she and her servants against 2 'Ozarus' on their way before reaching the volcano, according to the estimates seen in that crystal sphere. Naturally any type of aircraft approaching those divine beasts would end up with a miserable outcome like any of the aerial vehicles that attempted to approach King-Kong in multiple movies, the similarity of what they were about to do, she had to admit, was wildly ironic.

Obviously the speed and durability of such mortal world airships are insufficient to move above the level of speed attainable by such beasts, which although they were huge, the speed attained by their huge steps and arms, their 'frontal' speed, could well exceed the speed attained by a generic transatlantic aircraft of this world; and on top of that, they could shoot 'magic lasers' that moved almost as fast or faster than a jet reaching the speed of sound.

That was what the Gremory deduced after hearing the information given by the Kusanagi, about the fight the latter had had with said beasts. So in terms of the mortal world they were fast...

...but in terms of the supernatural world, the 'Ozaru' still lacked much to be considered truly fast. Dante surpassed them in that attribute with ease, and no doubt his knight Kiba wouldn't be far behind...

...So using a mortal world airship altered with demonic power to improve it speed and durability didn't seem like such a far-fetched idea. After all, there were some airships, like this one, that in and of themselves could fly even faster than high-class demons like her.

Demonic power could be channeled more efficiently into the artifacts of the mortal world compared to the magical power of humans, thanks to possessing two special effects: The first of these, allows the devils magic to 'Corrupt' anything that was born of humanity, all thanks to the myths in which it is told how demons are able to possess, and curse almost anything. And the second, the 'Demonic Desire', could work miracles, such as changing the resistance and even all the other physical attributes of the 'material' being used. Obviously, the power of this 'demonic desire' depended very much on the amount of 'unholy mana' the devil possessed, and the strength with which he/she wished for 'something' to be fulfilled and/or happen.

So using this airship as a 'conduit' to get over 'the wall' of the divine beasts, was possible. And it wasn't such a bad idea either, to keep the 'Mirror' inside this vehicle, as it would allow them to hide it from Sun-Wukong until the last moment, or at least she hoped that the interference of the demonic power used in this helicopter would be strong enough to prevent the god from noticing the presence of this 'grimoire' with his [Sacred Eyes], an authority with which it is said he can 'see all evil'; she doesn´t know all the effects of that [Authority] for certain, but what was described in his myth about that power was disturbing.

So if all went well, they could get close enough to the Monkey King to almost immediately use the 'Unholy Mirror' against him, thereby freeing her newest family member.

So as you can see, the plan didn't seem so far-fetched...

...But there was a problem...

...Even though the Kusanagi knew so much about demonic power, it really left her speechless again...

Everything they were doing was an improvisation full of theories!

Neither she nor her servants had ever used their magical power like that! Never!

Raynare wasn't so wrong about them going on a suicide mission!

If she had agreed to this plan, it was because she was as desperate as Toni was to get Issei back and stop the Monkey King!

And to top it all off, that man desperate to end it all, was the one who was flying this airship, with an overly calm attitude!

As calm as if he had experienced something like this countless times!

'Please have a normal reaction for once! Will you!?'-Toni being so calm didn't help reassure her at all, and even made her a little afraid.

Gremory's fatalistic thoughts were interrupted when the man spoke again after they reached 15,000 meters, a distance that seemed to be the maximum this vehicle could reach. At that moment, the sun seemed to be 'moderately' descended from its highest point in the sky. It was only an hour or two before sunset.

-"Dear passengers of 'Dante' Airlines, we are approaching our inevitable destination. So get ready"-Leaving aside the strange sarcasm combined with that final seriousness, the ex-sparda's voice sounded altered as he was wearing a special military grade oxygen mask that consisted of a small transparent mask that covered the lower half of his face and then anchored to a small oxygen tank resting on his back. At an altitude of over 5000 thousand meters, it is impossible for a human being to breathe because the O2 pressure in the atmosphere drops. Toni was ashamed to admit it, but in his rebirth he had not 'inherited' the demonic characteristic of being invulnerable to lack of oxygen. An attribute 'inmortal' that any devil possesses, which he now did not, and in case you were wondering, they could hear each other thanks to a magical headset that Rias had provided them with-"As you can see down there, we can already see a few 'Kaijus' 'indigenous' to the vicinity of Mount Asashi. Awww, Japanese nature, as beautiful and deadly as ever~"

-Dante!

- "Calm down Rias, it was just a joke to lessen the tension~..."-The ex-sparda tried to avoid hearing another complaint from the redhead. When he saw through one of the windows the landscape of the land in the distance, he enunciated that sentence when he realized that at the end of that forest 'near' Mount Asashi (although it was still about 50 km away), right where the rocky terrain began to be predominant, 2 yellow figures scattered throughout the vast territory stood out among the trees and rocks in the distance. In his current state as a superhuman human being, he could not sense their auras from so far away, so he guessed that those small figures were the giant monkeys, seen from the height they had reached it seemed as if he was looking at golden-haired humans from a small skyscraper.

[Play in youtube: DMC5 - Devil Trigger(Shall Never Surrender+Devil's Never Cry Remix)]

-No, I didn't talk to you because I was annoyed by your attitude!...

-Toni-Kun...The closest of your 'native animals' is ascending very quickly!

-By the heavenly hell!, can they jump that high?! Is that part of their powers?!

-I don't know, they're monkeys! Monkeys usually jump really high, don't they?!

-Yeah, but this is ridiculous! -How did they notice us?!

- "Eeeeh?! Guys, you've got to be kidding me!"-When he heard Rias, Akeno, Kiba, and again Akeno and Rias respectively, Toni cursed his luck. It was obvious that their demonic eyes could see farther than his own, so they were most likely not joking, and he had also most likely underestimated the extent of the apes' powers of perception and strength too much. Why was it that nothing ever went his way? He had taken from the military airfield the aircraft that best suited his knowledge of navigation and targeting: He needed it to be versatile enough to move in multiple directions if necessary, he needed it to be able to reach a high altitude so that the 'Ozaru' could not approach (or notice them) before they reached the volcano, he needed it to have doors that could close to hide the 'Mirror'...

...and this helicopter was the best thing he had found (and still knew how to fly) at that base. Maybe if he had learned to fly a military jet, a new generation 'black hawk', or a 'air bomber', this would have been easier?...

-Evasive maneuvers! Do some evasive maneuvers right now!

- "I know, you don't have to tell me twice!"-At that moment Toni finally noticed how the figure of the giant ape did nothing but grow and grow from his point of view, focusing now on the large rear-view mirrors of the aircraft, finally the beast was to one side of them; it seemed as if it was 'floating' for a moment in the clouds to one side of the aircraft, when its momentum apparently stopped. The parallelism of that scene could be comparable to that of a scene where a superhero jumps from the street to the top of a skyscraper, in a single leap; only with the big difference, that this 'superhero' had a massive body. In less than a dozen seconds, he had already reached them from an angle behind and to the left of the helicopter's position in space. An instant later, The monkey extended his huge fist towards the aircraft, with every intention of destroying it-"Try not to vomit, this is not going to be a trip suitable for children!"-Fortunately, thanks to a maneuver that could render any ordinary human being unconscious due to the pressure exerted by the G-forces given the unnatural movement that the helicopter had just made, Toni managed to narrowly avoid that massive fist, by madly descending the aircraft in an inverted manner that could well have made agent "K" of "MIB" proud. His reaction speed, thanks to his [Mind's Eye] and agility, were also vital to react with enough "anticipation" to avoid being destroyed.

Past the above, the monkey's massive body began his rapid descent, however his snout was soon opened before descending more than a thousand meters with respect to the helicopter, wich was just getting into a position that was suitable for the flight of such an aircraft...

...And that meant only one thing.

-Laser!

-He's going to fire a laseeeeer!

-Rias Buchou, Akeno-San fly fair away!, there's still time!

-"Shut up, you'll make me deaf! Just let the best pilot in Japan work! If I escaped in a wrecked plane from a damn island that was about to explode, this is nothing!"-Saying that (which the others obviously didn't believe) with great pride and a bit of arrogance combined with haste, the ex-sparda turned the helicopter's steering wheel as fast as he could, almost ripping it off in the process given the slight superhuman force he placed on it. A second later, a massive wave of red magical power passed just to the side.

*Heavy Breathing**Heavy Breathing**Heavy Breathing*-Past that situation, the supernatural beings inside the ship were breathing heavily, sweat pouring from their cheeks and foreheads. They thought they had prepared for the worst since they had decided to participate with the ex-sparda in this mission, but they were still too young to understand what it was like to be about to experience such a horrible death, and without any ability to defend themselves.

-*Sigh*-On the other hand, unlike them, the semi-white-haired boy only let out a sigh of relief while a drop of nervous sweat ran down his forehead. He had to admit that this and what was to follow would be the most intense thing he had had to experience since he was accidentally reborn by itself. Moments later, seriousness flooded his expression...

-*[Rias, do you hear me?! Rias, do you hear me?!]

-Go ahead [Sona], I hear you loud and clear!

-*[Listen carefully! The 'Ozaru' that was following us has veered off in your direction! I repeat! the 'Ozaru' that was following us is now heading in your direction! Somehow all of you were detected! Success rate has dropped to 2%, abort the mission now!]

-What did you say?!

...for after listening (along with Rías) to [Sona] through the magic intercom placed in his ears, and seeing for himself how those other two yellow figures in the distance were moving through that forest with the intention of approaching them (immense channels of broken trees and trampled earth were opening up in their path), and most likely jumping or throwing magic 'shots' when they are in the right spot below the helicopter...

Having seen all that, Toni spoke to the redhead (and for the first time to the others) for the fourth time since he had known her, in a very serious manner. An incredible amount of ideas crossing his mind, trying to solve this situation without them dying before achieving they goal.

-"Rias, it's now or never! If you or the pretty girl can't manage to 'corrupt' this piece of crap, it's over! So I'm going to give you as much time as I can!"-Saying that (which really made the Gremory, and the others, feel feelings of respect for his courage, although they still didn't understand what he was planning to do) Toni got up from his seat as fast as he could, and almost forcibly put Kiba in it while saying-"I need you as a substitute pilot. You react and are almost as fast as me, right? So drive."

-w-w-w-w-what?! I don't know how to...!

-"Yes, yes, yes, yes, I know you don't know how to drive it. Just grab the steering wheel, and react by instinct. Steer it to the front, and keep it steady after what I'm going to do. That's for the front and vertical movement, and that's for the horizontal movement. It's not too complicated, it's a piece of cake!"- Said that, the ex-Sparda took the pistols from his hips, and then opened one of the large side doors of the airship, then turned his face one last time to look at Rias and Akeno, who like Yuuto were speechless because they had no idea what his plan was-"You know what to do. 'Wish' with all your force that this miserable metal 'hummingbird' would turn into a goddamn Phoenix!"

- "Dante at least explain to us what you have planned d...!"-When she tried to get the information out of him, it was too late as incomprehensibly Toni jumped onto the landing skids of the Helicopter, and the next instant, jumped onto the 'Nose' of it, onto the front fuselage that was outside the large central windows: He did it with such dexterity, that his head never came close to the large propellers that were only a meter above his head, on his feet were already materialized his demonic boots, which apparently he had used as an 'anchor', for it seemed that the claws of such things together with a small layer of frost 'glued' him to the fuselage.

A breath later a pristine white light and an unholy black one began to envelop like an aura [Luce] and [Ombra] respectively, the two being held by each of his hands. And then a timeless sound produced by what seemed to be a deep and somewhat 'robotic' voice seemed to be emitted from said weapons, which was so intense that it was even heard by the demons inside the airship.

*Luce and Ombra Balance Breaker!*-The aura on the guns became denser and more intense as they turned into particles of light that converged into a large figure in the shape of a cannon that for a moment seemed to be formed by a mixture of light and darkness -*Star Buster-Star Blaster: The Star Collapser!*1

And once that strange voice was heard again, the BxB of the Kusanagi's artificial sacred-gear had finally been activated; an overly-enlarged Bazooka was now in his hands, which had an appearance that mixed a classic design with a futuristic one, with a scope in the middle, plus a circular cannon in the front that could easily fit an anti-aircraft missile.

-ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR- Rías didn't even have time to think about how it was possible that the Kusanagi possessed another Sacred Gear, because about two seconds later another massive giant monkey appeared from the right of the helicopter, Kiba trying to divert as best he could the path to the left as the Kusanagi grinned wildly at that monkey...

... And while fixing his 'feet' tighter to the fuselage, the Ex-Sparda said with seriousness mixed with a playful tone the following as he pointed his huge Bazooka at said beast-"Say hello to my 'little' friend [Lady]!"-That said, he pulled the trigger of the huge gun hard...

*Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom*-....And the next thing that happened, was that a giant monkey seemed to lose an eye after receiving a huge blast from what appeared to be a projectile in the shape of a large missile that possessed a 'spectral' appearance, combining the colors black and white, intermingled. Incidentally, the explosion also pushed the giant beast 'down', not to mention that the strong wind caused, further diverted the aircraft from the path in which Kiba had placed it improvised; it almost looked like a sheet of paper swaying in the wind, all the warning alarms of the ship sounding like crazy.

The surprise and bewilderment of the helicopter crew only increased when they watched as Kusanagi jumped backwards directly into the aircraft's propellers, his body passing at a superhuman speed that managed to surpass for an instant the spin of the propeller, with which he passed unharmed through those 'deadly locks' to then turn in the air to fall standing on the rotor at the top of the propellers, as if standing on the top of a marine ship's flagpole. Although obviously, only Kiba was able to notice that...

-ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR-...Moments later, another giant monkey would appear on the scene just about 30 meters in front of the aircraft. His hand would try to grab the helicopter, but...

*Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom*-...Another missile with a power that seemed to be taken from the imagination of a mad genius would hit the creature directly in the throat. Choking it for a few moments as it pushed it down.

*Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom*...And about three breaths later, rest seemed like it wasn't going to come for the Ex-Sparda, as he had just thrown another missile down in the distance, when he saw a huge wave of reddish magical power approaching the airship; And as absurd as it may seem, for a moment, the Laser 'fought' for dominance against that missile, for it was not 'consumed' or 'disappeared' even when it touched that magic. The 'missile' stopped the momentum of the magic 'shot' about a thousand meters away as if suspended in mid-air, and then the two techniques ended up canceling each other out, as they exploded like a rain of hellfire.

It seemed that Toni was quite in control of the situation...

-Although it may seem like it, I'm not a tireless machine! Rias, Akeno... What are you waiting for?!

*Heavy Breath*...However, even though that seemed to be the case, the Kusanagi soon 'warned' the she-devils about his condition over the magic intercom. He wasn't going to be able to hold on forever, and the heavy breathing that had appeared (and was even audible through the headset) since he fired the first 'missile' was getting worse.

If they could see him, they would also widely notice all the sweat he was bathing in; Toni was not going to admit it but he was in his second worst moment in this new life (the first one had been yesterday, for obvious reasons); he was tired, as he had not given his mortal body enough time to recover after the wounds received yesterday, and also he had not fully received the blood he needed, and he was still 'weighed down' to his corporal, magical and spiritual resistance by the use of Mr. Zotz´s BxB, yesterday. Not to mention, despite all that, he had risked using the devil-arm-Boots [Kalulu], again. All those conditions, were pushing his soul and body to the limit in a very short time.

-"He's right! We must do our best. Akeno!..."-Hearing that heavy breathing, and those words, the redhead managed to get out of the transe she had been left in by the Kusanagi's courage and skills, so she shook her head as she thought to leave any questioning for later and then addressed the Himejima, who immediately responded with an affirmative nod of her head plus a: "I understand!", the forbidden mirror being held by Akeno tightly so it wouldn't fly away with those tremendous 'turbulences'.

Both of their eyes then took on great determination as they placed their hands on one of the metal walls of the airship, respectively. And then they raised their magical power as their demonic auras manifested, wishing with all their might that said deadly craft would acquire a resistance, and a speed far beyond its current capacity.

*Booooooooooooooooooooooooom!*

-move faster!

*Heavy breathing*

-Come on, move faster!

*Booooooooooooooooooooooooooom**Booooooooooooooooooooooooom*

-Obey me! move faster!

*Heavy breathing* *Heavy breathing* *Heavy breathing* *Heavy breathing* -Desperation would soon invade Rias, and Akeno as the vital seconds passed, in which they 'felt' and heard every now and then the terrifying explosions caused by the Kusanagi, who continued to be heard in worse conditions through the magic earpiece. The redhead released her frustration on multiple occasions through screams that were forcing her to put every part of herself into her demonic power and her 'desire'...

...There were not many results for a short time...

*Booooooooooooooooooooooooom**Booooooooooooooooooooooooom**Booooooooooooooooooooooooom*!

...until the she-devil's absolute desperation would end up working a miracle when she noticed that the 3 apes had appeared in her field of vision almost at the same time; To the right, to the left, and in front of the airship; the Kusanagui's 'missiles' being barely enough to repel them all, one of them opening its massive snout in which an incredibly intense red light was about to shoot out...

-Mooove Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasteeeeeeeeeeer!"-...In that moment, Rías roared with fervor one last time, just as she spoke with a guttural voice that trailed an echo as an explosion of demonic power enveloped her, and besides she was covered for an instant with a powerful red aura and what seemed like small flashes of dark-red electricity. Around her eyes was framed something that could look like a shadow, but in reality her skin turned a black color with red lines in betwen that seemed to be formed by pure energy, it almost seemed that part of her face was made of only energy, of pure power of destruction; her sclerae became like the color of her hair, and her pupils stopped being blue, now glowing in a yellowish and eerie tone, as much as the fangs her teeth had become. In her mind appeared the image she wished for; an airship out of the underworld...

*Metallic sounds* *Metallic sounds*...And through that 'desire' strongly condensed through the demonic magic channeled into the helicopter, it became completely enveloped in its reddish aura and then began to change. Little by little the metal of the aircraft was reforming, re-building, expanding, altering; the metal being replaced in some areas by what appeared to be living flesh. And what appeared to be an eye was now 'sprouting' from the 'belly' of the craft; it was something truly grotesque, but...

*Swoooooosh!* *Boooooooom!*...from the moment that change occurred, the 'helicopter' advanced forward at a dizzying speed that could not belong to a vehicle of this type at all. Immediately the sound itself was overcome, the aircraft exceeding the speed of sound by who knows how many times, producing at that moment the classic atmospheric explosion that a jet produces when it overcomes that barrier. And if it seemed to be heading in the right direction towards the volcano, it was because Yuuto possessed enough reaction capacity to be able to see the 'scene' outside the ship at speeds above the speed of sound.

As the giant monkeys were left behind in no time, despite being overly surprised and happy with herself, and relieved to have escaped them, she did not lose her concentration. She tried with all her 'force' to continue to maintain that unknown state of her demonic body and mind. On the other hand, after the initial Relief passed, Akeno seemed quite disappointed with herself; she wanted to help her 'Mistress' in the 'maintenance' of the vehicle's state, or improve it even more, but it seemed that something was blocking her 'desires'; probably a rejection of herself, hidden deep inside for some reason.

*Sigh*-Outside, another sigh of relief was heard after that happened; Toni watched with a smile as they left those giant beasts behind like turtles; one of them still managed to launch a massive magic shot, but Kiba was more than able to avoid it.

Now standing and 'anchored' again from the 'nose' of the ship, Toni gave a thumbs up to Rias who was watching him from the cockpit with a smile full of horrifying fangs: He thought it was a risky idea to have relied so much on inexperienced she-devils, but when you're desperate, you don't have many options. Apparently, from what he could observe in her bodily changes, this life or death situation had awakened a bit of the inner 'true devil' in Rias or something like that, but the investigation about that state of her for now 'comrade', would have to wait as they had a 'mountain' to get to...

*Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom*

-!

-!

-!

-!

*Earth trembling*...A mountain that would not take long to leave them bewildered again, when a huge red dragon appeared suddenly in the distance, from10 km away from the huge volcanic vent. Its massive aura, and its fiery breath enveloped in a maelstrom of destruction that mountain, whose side rocks of said relief were falling madly like an avalanche.

-"Holy shit"- was the only thing the Kusanagi could vocalize (with a bitter expression in between) when he saw that scene, and most probably that was also the thought of everyone inside the helicopter. Why couldn't things ever go according to the plan? ; was the last thought of the semi-white-haired man 'born' when he watched as the small figure of a man began to fly around the red dragon as he 'drove' a golden cloud he was stepping on; His golden ''Bō'', extending enormously to cause such strong blows to the dragon, that they produced massive shockwaves.

There is a word that every connoisseur of the supernatural world, has in mind...

...The 'reverse scale'

The 'reverse scale' is a term used to refer to a sensitive point of both a person...

...or that of a dragon...

...Oh, but there is a big difference between the one and the other...

...For the reverse scale of a dragon, is something that will generally cause the death of the one who has 'touched' it...

...For it will unleash its full fury.

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

The legendary Welsh dragon, Ddraig Goch faced a powerful heretic god with his 'reverse scale' freshly touched after having 'self-revived', which ironically caused Sun-Wukong to burst into ecstasy, and bloodlust. However, despite being described in his myth as a 'dragon-taming god', the monkey king would soon understand why a [Heavenly Dragon] was very different from any other type of dragon.

*Booooooooooooooooom!*-After the top of 'Mount Asahi' was destroyed thanks to an abysmal flare from the huge red dragon, torrents of lava and rocks were hurled everywhere, which for an instant remembered a 'small' volcanic eruption. One would think that it had vaporized the monkey king (who still possessed Issei's body) but thanks to the speed granted by his flying cloud, he managed to fly fast enough to avoid that inferno by flying around the massive dragon at a speed that the normal human eye could not keep up with.

*Booooooooooooooooooooooooooom!* Hyodou/Wukong then slammed his golden staff into the lizard's head, after it extended hundreds of meters in an instant: The blow unleashed a shockwave with a wind so strong that it could have been the product of a category 5 hurricane. The next moment Ddraig grabbed the staff with one of his huge 'hands', and pulled it so hard that he forced the Chinese deity to approach him. An instant later, as ridiculous as it seemed due to the difference in size, both would collide their heads...

*Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!*...The loud impact spread across the sky and the surrounding area. The mountainous area under their feet collapsed madly; avalanches of giant, incandescent rocks fell towards the large lake that was in the immediate vicinity of the volcano. Soon all the water in the lake began to evaporate after receiving the magma from that terrestrial 'vent'.

*Boooooooooom!* *Boooooooooom!**Boooooooooom!**Boooooooooooooom!*-The continuous clashes between these two deities were causing destruction on a grand scale. In a very short time, the area became an apocalyptic image. And probably that volcano would have a real eruption, if those two were still so close to it...

...But obviously they didn't care about that.

-PREPARE TO BE CRUSHED!

- All right! All right! Come on, show me that terrible strength of yours again! I'll still put you on the leash! Hahahaha!

The battle that they started with the utmost of them power, continued without stopping and without diminishing they great aura. It continued with blows here and there, plus the occasional powerful flare from Ddraig that made the very sky turn the color of his scales. And despite everything, unsurprisingly, both 'monsters' remained calm, neither of them being sent flying by the force of the other.

*Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash!*-At a certain point in the fight, Sun-Wukong received Ddraig's punch head-on and only moved slightly backwards in the air (still stepping on his golden cloud) when he used his staff as a shield. He put on a big smile and a maniacal expression; which remained even when he hit the dragon back; even though his fist was as small as a human's, its strength and power were so enormous that it caused a huge explosion in the Sekiryuutei's face.

-ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!

Ddraig responded with another powerful dragon flare whose strength was increased with [Boost]: The fire in moments 'swallowed' the monkey king, but he would soon come out through the fire; there were parts of Hyodou's body flesh turned into 'charcoal' with muscles and bones being visible to the naked eye, however at the next blink of an eye, those very serious wounds disappeared after being replaced by intact skin.

The monkey king was definitely channeling the authority that made him 'immortal' into the body he was possessing!

-'Killing my user, it's not going to be as easy as I thought' -Ddraig thought with irritation as he remembered that annoying ability of the enemy. If there was a reason why he couldn't destroy Sun-Wukong in the past, it was due to his absurd ability to restore himself, even after the annihilation of his entire body. That deity had achieved '7 levels' of immortality in his myth, so in addition to [Ophis], [Albion], and [Big Red], that monkey had once managed to survive the 'true flames' that he sealed some time ago and still refused to use.

But in any case, that was something that irritated him even more. That such a clown would dare to challenge him, and interrupt his fated battle with [Albion]. On this occasion, he would incinerate even his soul so that he could not return from the dead!

*Boooooooooom!* *Boooooooooom!**Boooooooooom!*-The shockwave of the exchange of blows between these two powerful supernatural beings caused the heavens to tremble and everything around them to be destroyed. Mountains and hills collapsed upon themselves in the mountain range below them, for thanks to their absurd speeds they were covering a large amount of ground on which they were continuously moving as they fought.

For a moment a kick from the monkey king penetrated deep into Ddraig's abdomen. In midair, Ddraig placed a pained expression and his whole body arched, and then Wukong flew towards him and with a headbutt shattered his jaw.

*Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash!*- Ddraig's head was sent back with force! For a moment, the dragon almost lost consciousness, however, after clenching his fist tightly, the Welsh dragon hit the evil god, who placed his staff in a position to defend himself from that blow, however...At that moment, Issei/wukong did not receive the direct hit on his magical 'Bo', but on his 'real' body...

- "Uagh!"-The blow was so powerful, that Wukong spat blood and had a hard time breathing-"I almost forgot! Your [Penetrate] skill is really annoying! But don't even think that you can get me out of this body with that!"-"Along with that powerful punch, Ddraig had used a skill called 'Penetrate', which he was now able to use thanks to the monkey king's unscrupulous release of the biblical god's seal. In the past that had been one of the Red Dragon's best abilities, which can penetrate any defense: for that reason, the impact was not on Wukong's staff but was transmitted to his arms and subsequently to his 'body', both the one he possessed and his real body.

*Laser Sound* *Laser Sound* *Laser Sound*-At that moment, three giant golden-haired apes appeared not far from there, who were the ones that had chased our protagonist some time ago. Focusing now on protecting their 'master', they unleashed all their power towards the enemy red dragon...

-"INSECTS AREN´T ALLOWED TO BOTHER ME!"-However, those 'rays' of red energy never touched him, because the next moment Ddraig increased the size of his abdomen and inhaled a large amount of air, and then launched a giant flare at those massive primates, which were destroyed by being incinerated in just a blink, their 'lasers' were extinguished without pain or glory by the power of the dragon.

*Booooooom!*-Taking advantage of that distraction, the heretic god who did not simply stand by and watch without doing anything; He quickly regained his battle stance after the damage received by [penetrate] and while his body was enveloped in a large amount of golden aura he used his magic staff to strike Ddraig's abdomen again. However, thanks to a speed that should not correspond to its massive size, the lizard disappeared from its original position to then appear behind the monkey king, who barely managed to dodge another of its massive punches as it was carried by its flying cloud to the side. Meanwhile, Wukong´s staff ended up hitting a large mountain in the distance, which broke in two.

Moments later, Ddraig used [Boost] multiple times and threw another massive flare at Issei/Wukong; it seemed that this one was going to 'consume' him again, but before it 'hit' him, the oriental deity made some mudra-like movements with his hands while enunciating some kind of spell, and a moment later, he also inflated his chest and blew in the direction of that celestial flare...

*Burning fire!**Burning fire!*...But what came out of Wukong/Issei was not air, but also a flame that could have put to shame those produced by Uchiha Madara or Natzu Dragneel. The two techniques soon met in the air, and turned into a hellish fireball, which would look like a comet when it ended up exploding with absurd force. The flames covered the landscape with fire, and melted the rock, and the surrounding landscape so easily, that they seemed to be plastic being incinerated in a bonfire.

*Craaaaaaaaaaaaash!*-At once, a golden staff pierced through the smoke left by those flares and struck the celestial dragon in the chest, an incredible amount of aura gathered in the divine weaponry. Ddraig retreated a few 'steps', withstanding the destructive blow. He would later escape from that staff by flying swiftly while continuing to hurl flames in the form of gigantic fireballs...

*Boooooooom*-The fireballs would land on the ground and create massive explosions that Wukong barely managed to avoid by pushing the speed of his flying cloud to the maximum.

*freezing!*-After escaping the last flare, the monkey king would once again use a spell that would turn his breath into a kind of absolute winter, for as he released his exhalation in the direction of the red dragon, it seemed as if a freezing bolt of 'laser' had been fired.

*Crystals shattering!* That wintry breath would manage to freeze one of the lizard's 'legs', but it wouldn't take long for Ddraig to break free as the intensity of its aura increased. The giant icicles fell to the ground like a winter rain...

...After that, both titans would manage to hit each other once again with their best techniques...

...And their fight would continue repeating these fighting patterns for a few more minutes in which they would devastate the earth and the sky.

o-o-o-o-o-o-o

A little more than a dozen minutes after that fight between existences that cannot be understood by mere mortals started...

...Ddraig finally managed to catch Issei/Wukong's body with his gigantic hand, restraining it after having thrown it to the ground with great force, where a huge crater was born at the same time. Part of Ddraig´s hand, covering half of the body of the oriental deity: he was trying to crush mercilessly while his head was approaching the enemy, probably with the intention of 'eating' him. Maybe if his 'digestive juices' digested him, it would annul that 'immortality' of Wukong, or at least his user would die: That's what Ddraig thought for a moment, before letting out a roar that reverberated everywhere.

-ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!

-"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!"-With the increase of his strength as he let out a battle cry, Wukong/Issei raised his aura enormously, and little by little began to lift the huge leg of the dragon, who was a little surprised to notice that overwhelming strength that seemed like a joke, coming from someone so small...

...At that moment, Ddraig would try to bite the monkey king, but an annoying metallic sound would soon appear on the scene. Confused for an instant, both titans turned their heads towards the source of the sound, and what would come next they would never have expected...

*Taka* *Taka* *Taka**Taka* *Taka* *Taka* *Taka* *Taka* *Taka*

-Sorry to interrupt your dance damsels! But I really like this island without volcanoes exploding or erupting! So listen!: He is the way to the key and the keeper of the gate, He knows where they broke through in the old days, and where they will break through again...!

*Auge* *Auge* *Auge* *Auge* *Auge*- Just then, they could hear the voice of a certain person. It sounded like a small insect whose voice barely echoed through the place, but thanks to their supernatural ears, they were able to hear him, and that annoying mechanical sound that sounded like the flapping of a bee's wings made of steel. And after that, when they turned their heads towards the source of the 'insect's' voice, they saw and felt the growth of a terribly dark aura growing as a kind of incantation was recited. When they focused their eyes on the 'bug' that had interrupted them, they realized that the dark aura was being emitted from what appeared to be some sort of mirror, being held by a young man standing inside a helicopter that was apparently made of flesh and steel, at a distance of approximately 200 meters from their position.

- ... By the power of 'Umr At-Tawil', I become master of this 'key', and I command you 'O guardian' to lock in one of the 'gates' those who are reflected on your 'sacred' surface!. And to make it clear to you, only lock up the one named Sun-Wukong, and that huge dragon. Forget about the perverted Kid!

-!?

-!?

-¡GUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!-Having finished that somewhat sarcastic sentence at the end, Ddraig and Wukong/Hyodou could not help but be surprised for a moment by the 'thing' that came out a moment later from that mirror, with a scream in between that could 'envelop' the bravest man in the deepest fear, and the most intelligent woman, in the worst madness. The 'thing' that seemed to be made of semi-liquid mercury, grew and grew, and stretched and stretched to them in less than a second as it took on an aberrant form; it seemed to be only a head with multiple strange eyes plus a large mouth full of huge fangs, whose hair was formed by 'strange tentacles', and whose neck kept elongating from the mirror's glass; as if the rest of its body, was still 'inside' that mirror.

- "EEEEEEEEHH!?" -Ddraig was speechless when practically 80% of his body was covered and enveloped in just an instant by an incredible amount of 'semi-solid' mercury tentacles, coming from the 'hair' of that 'thing'. He tried to free himself, but even with his abysmal strength, it was practically impossible to free himself from the grip of the protrusions, and on the other hand...

- "WHAT!? What is this thing?! ...It's...!...It's pulling me out of the Sekyriutei's body!...You! You are that mortal from yesterday! Let go of me, I command you! Let go of my sacred figure right now or you will suffer the worst of deaths!"-...Wukong was doing worse than him. One of the tentacles of the 'thing' had entered the inside of Ddraig´s user body, without even touching his skin, as if it had become intangible for an instant. And the next blink of an eye, that 'tentacle' retracted from inside Issei's body, bringing with it 'wrapped in tendrils' the figure of what was a humanoid monkey whearing a oriental armor, who looked furiously at that boy in the helicopter in the distance, who seemed not to have heard him or perhaps could not answer him as he seemed to be suffering a lot for some reason as he kept holding that mirror, extending it to the front...

...and For some reason, there was also another tendril wrapping itself around the red gauntlet on the left arm present on the body of Hyodou, Although Ddraig didn't have much time to think about the implications of that, as...

-¡GUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!-...Then, the 'thing' that had come out of the mirror roared again in that guttural tone out of the worst nightmares, and then the tentacles wrapping around its 'prey' increased in number just when that 'thing' began to retract in the direction of the mirror. The monkey and the dragon put up great resistance, so they were not immediately dragged along with the creature, who seemed to be struggling to drag them away. The auras of the gods and their movements were greatly elevated, trying to avoid whatever the 'intentions' of the horrible creature were; They could never have imagined that that barely perceptible 'metallic bee' (full of auras that could only belong to 'insects') that had been flying around their battle, would provoke such a desperate situation. A bee that was able to avoid the incandescent rocks spewing from the volcano, or the impact waves, thanks to its 'decent speed and durability' as a 'demonic metal bee'; After all, why should two predators that are fighting for dominance, worry about a bee...?

...Of course, they forgot the fact that a bee sting will always hurt like hell...

... And sometimes, very rarely, it can cause an 'allergic' reaction that can kill you.

The one who had once been named as 'Dante' is definitely many things. He isn´t an idiot, but many call him like that on many occasions...

...For he can become so persistent, it borders on the ridiculous. Just like that nephew he had in that other life.

So, after overcoming the impression of having witnessed the 'rebirth' of the legendary Welsh dragon, he went back inside the 'demonic' helicopter the same way he had come out, and tried to think together with Rías and the others about two things; first, about how it was possible that Ddraig was alive, and second, about how they were going to solve this unexpected situation.

Obviously, there was no possible explanation or plan for a while, in which Kiba kept the aircraft far enough away from those two 'beasts' not to be destroyed in an instant. If the vehicle was withstanding those strong winds, it was because its materials had been improved by his 'mistress'.

-"Heck, I'm already sick of watching those idiots fight! I didn't come all this way just to leave with my tail between my legs!"-When everyone's frustration reached a climax (having realized that if those two kept fighting near that mountain range [which they had already stripped of a large amount of mountains] if they went near that volcano again, they would most likely cause a cataclysmic eruption), and when Toni would swear that Rias was about to let out an 'It's over'. He spoke in his own way in that distorted tone thanks to the oxygen mask he had still been forced to wear: he exposed the only idea that came to his mind: keep persisting-"Skinny legs, keep flying around those two! We'll take any chance we get!"

-A-A-Are you sure Toni-Kun?...I don't think we'll be able to catch up with them...

- "But...How are we going to get close enough for them to be reflected in...?"-With discouragement Rias exposed the doubt that Akeno and she plus Yuuto had. Obviously her voice still had that guttural tone caused by the 'changed' state of her body, but even though she looked like a creature she should escape from if you ever saw her, she had too many negative emotions flooding her heart that didn't match her fearsome appearance.

- I don't know! But we'll take any 'opening' there may become in the fight! Anyway if we leave here, sooner or later we're going to die from a volcanic 'apocalypse', right?

Hearing this, they couldn't help but nod their heads slightly. The situation was now even more critical than before, so there was no point in retreating. Either they managed to accomplish their goal, or they would inevitably die sooner or later; the magical barrier of the academy could save them from something like that, but if Hokkaido, if the entire island exploded, Rias knew that the barrier would be completely useless in something of that level. And besides, just like Toni, she still refused to give up hope of being able to get Issei back.

Shortly after reaching that conclusion, however unlikely it was, a possibility finally opened up. Ddraig restricted Wukong/Issei's movement on the ground with his huge arm, a huge crater opened up in the ground due to that absurd force, which kept him 'incapacitated' for a few seconds...

...seconds that were enough for Kiba to drive the demonic airship at full speed towards the deities.

-"This ends now!"...And then, when they were close enough for those two 'beasts' to be reflected in the mirror (as the demonic Helicopter was positioned 'sideways' to them from about 200 m. away, with the side doors open) Toni exclaimed the above, before beginning to speak to those deities in his classic manner as he extended the unholy mirror to the front with his two hands: the images of a huge red dragon, and a small brown-haired youth, reflected in the glass.

To be continue...

In the next chapter, you will finally see the conclusion. I hope you like it :)

Author's messages:

Quick clarifications: The action scenes in the helicopter are obviously inspired by the 'Van' scenes from DMCV, plus a bit from other series like Resident Evil, mass effect 3, or the Kong movie itself. Needless to say, I got the idea of the 'demon helicopter' from the dmc2 mini-bosses called 'infestant' that have the ability to 'possess' vehicles from the human world.

don´t forget to check the clarifications and the library, for any questions you have, or if you want to know a little more about the sobrenatural skills revealed in the chapter

Best Regards!

Chapter Clarifications:

*1 That's the name of a new longinus that appears after vol. 21 in the HSDXD novel. I used that name because I like it, and it's also a reference to that longinus. However, in this fic I will never show that longino, because I don't plan to cover the plot of dxd where it comes out.

Library:

Luce and Ombra-[Rank E~C]: An artificial sacred gear in the shape of a pair of pistols. One with a design painted with light hues and the other with a design painted with dark hues. They can fire bullets of darkness and light respectively, whose strength can be modified by their user by imbuing their magic power into them, varying from E~D range without using the BxB. When the latter is used, the weapons merge and become a 'super-bazooka', with the ability to fire 'missiles' with the light and dark attribute mixed, powerful enough to hurt supreme class demons, or lower-middle level divine beasts, however it has a high stamina consumption and magic power. Azzazel called this BxB as [Star Buster-Star Blaster: The star collapser], but 'Toni' gave it a more appropriate name, [Lady].

Ddraig's Authority Revealed:

Blazing Inferno of Scorching Flames [Rank EX]

This is a power born from the 'crystallization' of the Arthurian myth story, where the red dragon is told to be an invincible beast, with a blazing fire capable of overcoming any enemy that dares to try to harm Wales or Britain.

This flames can incinerate anything including the souls of others until nothing remains, as well as being almost impossible to extinguish. The flames have anti-magic, anti-divinity and anti-life effects. However, Ddraig sealed this ability by the reasons previusly exposed. The undying flames can cause massive collateral damage if they don´t use with caution. There are very few supernatural existences that can resist these flames, but surviving it is still possible if the enemie have an ability/durability that provides him a absurd fire resistance and/or some other kind of defensive 'broken' power.

Sun Wukong´s Autoritys Revealed:

Ru Yi Bang [Rank A+]

A magical 'Bo', with a great capacity to do damage. It possesses immense durability, can elongate and shrink at the will of its user to take on any size, can mutiply itself, can channel the magic of its master, and is 'indestructible'.

72 transformations [Rank A~?]:

72 spells / abilities that allow Wukong to cheat death in one way or another. These spells include: shapeshifting, control over air, water, and fire, hair clones, etc ... It is an authority that represents the monkey king as a 'god of magic'

Flying Cloud [Rank B]

Self-explanatory authority. It's pretty fast ...

Unbreakeable body [Rank EX]

Being born from a primordial chaos stone, Sun-Wukong possesses an extremely resilient constitution, but more importantly, throughout his 'mythological life', he acquired 7 different types of immortalities, making him one of the most difficult existences to kill. The great sage possesses an authority that gives him a "body that knows no death"...Granted through the following methods recounted in his myth: 1) Learning the 72 transformations, 2) Removing his name from the book of the dead, 3,4,5) Eating the peaches, wine, and immortality pills, 6) Eating the Gingseng Fruit, 7) Becoming a Buddha.

Each level of immortality of the Monkey King, is reflected in a spiritual resistance that makes his soul practically 'invulnerable' to external damage plus an incredibly absurd regeneration capacity, as much or more than Dante possessed in that other life. The Monkey King can survive 'almost' any kind of attack that destroys his body, regenerating it even if only his soul exists.

The only possible ways to kill him, are to damage he´s spiritual core (soul) with some equally absurd power and/or to use a conceptual damage and/or to use a power that annuls this authority...
