So, orignally this was just supposed to be a what if oneshot where Zutara happens and Aang gets revenge, but as I kept on writing, I realised that this oneshot could develop into a full fledged story - in fact, it could be a re-write of my Heartbroken Avatar story. So, if enough people like the idea, I'll turn this oneshot into a proper book. If not, It'll remain here for yall to feast on. So, either way, enjoy.
Revenge
"Please… don't tease me…"
"Patience Princess."
It was excruciatingly annoying, yet she wouldn't have it… have him any other way. She knew that by softly kissing her inner thighs he was teasing her, forcing her to work at his agonizing and yet extremely pleasurable slow pace, and despite never being the type of person to ever back down, she couldn't deny that submitting to him and being dominated was the most pleasurable thing in the world. However, when all his actions halted, she was about to lift herself up to scold him to even have the audacity to call a stalemate – yet, she literally chocked on her unspoken protests when she felt his two heated fingers hastily slither inside her folds without warning.
She gasped and moaned his name at the sensation of his fingers slowly pumping in and out of her, and her cries of pleasure were only amplified when she felt his thumb rub around her sensitive bump, sending waves upon waves of pleasure through her heated body. Leaning down, he kissed and bit her earlobe while speaking in a husky low voice:
"You like that, Princess?"
Fearing that if she didn't immediately answer he'd halt his actions again, she instantly gasped and yelled breathlessly, "Yes! Please… don't stop."
Hearing her beg for more made him smirk; never in a 100-years did he think he'd be in this position, with this woman - yet he was loving every second of it. When he leaned further down and sucked on the sensitive skin on her pale neck, she moaned louder and gripped onto the back of his bald head. Deciding that this wasn't enough, he shuffled further down until he reached her perky breasts. Feeling the animal escape his cage, he growled as he leaned in to swirl his tongue around her sensitive pink nipple before he settled on sucking on biting the sensitive flesh.
With him admiring her breasts, as well as his hands continuing their work on her womanhood, she yelled out her desire for him as she was being pushed to the brink of her first ever climax, "Oh… Aang! Please… don't stop! Don't ever stop!".
Although he did want to give her all the pleasure he felt she deserved, his member was now fully erect and was pulsing to the point where it pained him as it begged for a release. So, knowing that both would gain more pleasure from this act, he removed his tattooed hand from the firebender's centre and stopped sucking on her nipples to hastily sit up to remove his pants and boxers. Azula grunted and whimpered at the loss of him inside her as she was afforded a few seconds to recuperate from the high, however, she wasn't at all prepared for the gigantic intrusion that enter her womanhood without warning.
Since he knew they'd have to adjust to each other, Aang slid in slowly as she was already tight enough and he too wanted to savour the moment. Feeling his member dig deeper and deeper, Azula moaned when he finally filled her up fully; due to her many years of rigorous training, the princess had in fact broken her hymn in battle, so she wasn't particularly concerned about the pain.
It took a while, but eventually Aang started thrusting inside her, slow and hard while he began sucking on and kneading her breasts. Meanwhile, Azula was biting Aang's shoulder and scratching his back in an attempt to not scream in pleasure. He. however, took notice and ordered her not to:
"Don't hold back. Say my name…"
"Aang…" she immediately moaned. Feeling further encouraged, the airbender travelled to her neck and began kissing and biting while also speeding up the pace. Thrusting harder and faster into her, the muffled sounds of the many politicians and party-goers outside were blocked from her ears as the only sounds she could comprehend were her own cries of pleasure, his heavy breathing, and the clapping sound of their skin bouncing against each other as he continued to pound into her.
"Aang! I- I'm so close… I –"
"Me too… Cum with me."
Using his airbending to quicken the pace even further, Azula let out a pleasurable yet blood curdling scream when Aang's thrusts reached inhuman level speeds – and this, along with his hot breath against the nape of her neck caused her to reach her end.
"Aang!" she cried out as her juices ran out her centre and down his massive shaft.
Feeling her walls contracting around him and her juices crash against his, Aang too reached his end as he moaned her name when he climaxed inside her, "Azula."
Falling back onto the bed, the Avatar waterbended his load out of her and was about to firebend it to nothingness but he halted when she asked if she could taste it. She ended up swallowing it all – declaring that it had a fruity aftertaste that she found addictive – and he felt that he should get dressed before he changed his mind and began pounding in her again as her recent actions had caused him to grow hard again. They're plan was too important and they were in too deep to lose focus now.
As they both left the room – adorning their royal robes; his golden monk robes and her sultry red, royal dress – they both were unaware of a pair of amber eyes watching them with anger from the corner of the hallway. When Aang and Azula returned to the party, they were met with questionable glances from many party members, especially a certain waterbender and earthbender. Sokka was currently too busy stuffing his face with meat to realise the Avatar and Fire Princess had finally returned after abruptly leaving a half an hour ago – and Suki was too busy hiding her face from embarrassment due to the actions of her husband to care.
Before Azula leaned into Aang's ear to whisper that she was going to look for Ty Lee and Mai, she caught the look a certain waterbender was giving her and she smirked. When Aang smiled and kissed the back of her palm, the firebender teasingly kissed his cheek in response. Feeling Katara's eyes still on her and her acquaintance, Azula locked eyes with the waterbender and winked at her, a smirk tugging her lips as she retreated to find her friends. The waterbender in return clenched her fists and seethed in anger at the retreating figure before she set her gaze back onto the same airbender who was now approaching her and Toph. As soon as her eyes met his, she felt herself relax and begin to drool a little as she took in the sight of his radically different and toned figure.
It had been several years since the two had seen each other; after the war, Katara moved to the Fire Nation with her boyfriend while Aang travelled the world alone – solving quarrels and ending disputes along the way. She knew that by disregarding Aang's love for her, she had hurt the boy deeply, but she didn't regret choosing to live with her boyfriend… she only regretted leaving him without an explanation or without saying goodbye,
After a year of Azula continuously escaping the Fire Nation prison, Aang was finally fed up with the Nation's incompetence and forced the Firelord to transfer Azula over to Ba Sing Se, where she would be kept as a prisoner in the Crystal Catacombs. What Katara didn't expect however, was to learn the while she was there, Azula began interacting with someone on a more intimate and personal level and was showing progress in rehabilitation. Furthermore, she was more dumbfounded to learn that the certain individual the firebender grew quite close to was non other than the Avatar… Aang.
The same Aang who she had killed not long ago was the same Aang who she was opening up to – and if their brief interaction today indicated anything, it was that they got along just fine – at little too fine for Katara's taste actually. Yet again, she had no right to complain; she herself didn't return Aang's love and she herself encouraged him to not lose hope and find someone else – but why did it have to be Azula, the waterbender thought.
Even though she knew it wasn't right, surely no one could fault her for eyeing the Avatar in that way – almost every girl at that party did. Spirits, even Mai and Suki admitted so themselves, so Katara felt no shame when her eyes traced his broad shoulders, glided across his wide biceps, skidded across his sharp jawline, followed along his-
"Hi Katara."
Her pleasurable investigation was suddenly brought to a halt by the same person whom she was interrogating, and she couldn't stop the lopsided smile that grew on her face when her eyes met his. Sure, back then she felt that Aang was not the one for her; Avatar or not, he was still a kid. And back then, he wasn't particularly handsome or well-built, and she knew this was shallow thinking, but she was a teenage girl after all. So, naturally her eyes darted towards the Firelord instead. However, Aang at 19 years old was a completely different story; he was tall – taller than both Sokka and Zuko – he was lean yet muscular, he was gentle yet also aggressive, he was passive yet also assertive and he was kind yet a natural charmer. The Aang she met and accompanied during the war was a completely different person compared to the teenager standing beside her now, and she - despite herself - couldn't help but let a cloud of doubt to hover above her. Did she make the right decision?
"Hi Aang. Having fun?" Katara decided to worry about all that later and just enjoy her recently rekindled friendship with Aang for now.
"Well, I'm not quite fond of parties but…" he trailed off as his eyes travelled across the room, scanning it until they met up with another sultry amber pair that winked back at him, "I can say that it has its upsides." He finished while flashing a smile towards the Fire Princess.
Katara, being witness to their little flirting game, scowled at the Avatar while Toph chuckled at her clear distaste.
"So, you're banging the Princess now?" Toph asked, knowing exactly how Aang's face would radiate a pink hue while Katara's would burst with anger.
"I - "
"I still can't believe that you're involved with her of all people." Aang wasn't allowed a chance to respond as Katara interrupted him, not even trying to hide her clear distaste towards his choices.
Aang was about to call her out on her bullshit; her asking him to let her go and move on after breaking his heart and now having the audacity to question his choice of a partner – not to say that Azula even was his partner. No, for now there were simply… having fun… and playing a little game – as they put it – with Katara and Zuko – and the whole world. Though, he still could see the possibility of a future with her, but it was too early to say. So, instead of starting a possible argument with a seething waterbender – one whose anger he could now match but chose not to – he opted to rather tease and play with her.
"Would rather have me involved with someone else, Sifu Katara?" He asked playfully, an eyebrow raised with a hint of mischief glistening within his stormy eyes.
"Anyone other than her," Katara deadpanned. She, however, was not aware for Aang's trap, and she fell for it.
"Anyone, huh. How about you?" He asked, staring into her eyes with a smirk plastered on his face and that same mischief all too present in his eyes.
"I – uh, I- I," She was caught off-guard and had no immediate response. Katara felt her entire face heat up in embarrassment as she thought for a single moment: What if? However, even though it felt like a hundred years, eventually Aang and Toph fell into a fit of laughter at her expense. Realising now that he was playing with her, Katara was once again reminded of the fact that Aang was not the same airbender she helped save the world all those years ago.
Yeh, this boy's up to no good, she thought with a smile as she took in the image of him laughing – something she hadn't witnessed for many agonisingly long years. Katara was about to scold and yell at the both of them, but her fiancé pulled in and gestured Aang away, claiming he had some unfinished business with the Avatar and would return him in a short while. While Aang took his leave, Katara glared at Toph who was still laughing at her friend's obvious flustered and embarrassed state, while also notice that a certain firebending prodigy was trailing towards the two friends.
Great, now I'll have to hear it from her too, she thought as amber eyes locked with her cerulean ones.
The Firelord was walking the Avatar down the hall to his office, informing him of some bullshit plan he had to stop the recent rebellions – only, he didn't know that the Avatar knew what the Firelord was really up to, and Aang was loving every second of it. Once they walked through the doors of the Firelord's office, Zuko waited till Aang turned around to club him right across the jaw, causing the Avatar to fall to one knee, laughing slightly while informing:
"Zuko, just a tip, never start with the head, the victim gets all… fuzzy. You can't feel the next- "
Aang was cut off when Zuko hoisted him up by his robes and slammed him harshly against the wall. Aang, after blinking several times to decrease the numbness, raised his arms towards Zuko to prove his point: "My case in point."
Seething, Zuko grunted in annoyance before he demanded, "What are you doing with my sister?"
Dumbfounded, Aang playfully remarked while chuckling, "You mean… you didn't hear her screaming my name over and over again while I was fucking her brains out?" Aang chuckled again before he continued, "And to think I thought you knowledgeable…"
With anger bursting out of him, Zuko slammed his fist beside Aang's head as a warning shot before he once again demanded an answer, "Stop fucking around Aang! I know your not the same person you used to be. You're not the same kind monk we knew, you're a monster who- "
"Don't talk like one of those politicians or generals, you're not!" the Avatar suddenly spoke, interrupting the Firelord with his statement. He continued as Zuko listened intently, "To them you're just a brainless figurehead – like me. They need you right now, but when they don't… they'll cast you out." Zuko knew what Aang was referring to, but he acted as if he was clueless to get Aang to unknowingly inform him of his plan. So, the Avatar continued, "You're forced to follow the path your generals set you on as – because of these new laws – they have the ability to out vote you on every major decision and… you may deny it all you want, but your own council has you by the balls." Calming down a little, Aang's words knocked some sense into Zuko as he loosened his grip on the Avatar and allowed him to stand back on his feet – he still gripped onto his robes, however, not ready to let him leave his clutches just yet.
"All these new laws Zuko – I thought that by ending the war, I'd bring peace and balance to the world. And for a while, we did. We saved everyone for a couple of years. But we grew complacent, and they blindsided us with these stupid laws that forbid us from taking action. Ask you self, Firelord…" Zuko glanced up to look into the airbender's eyes, noticing they were stern and focused, his usual playfulness and mischief had somehow evaporated into thin air. "Who are we now, other than a couple of celebrities on leashes." Zuko dipped his head in defeat for his once thought best friend was correct; the title of the Firelord was now used for nothing but publicity.
Noticing that the firebender was finally registering every bomb he was throwing at him, Aang thought he'd bombard him with some personal statements to regain their previous tension and playfulness, for his plan depended on Zuko's anger to grow to a new uncontrollable limit. "Well, I'm not their puppet anymore… but you. You Zuko, you're their bitch." Seething once again, the Firelord dipped his head further and tightened his grip on the Avatar's robes to contain his rage – Aang however, did not stop:
"They say fetch, you fetch. They say sit, you sit. They say bark, you bark. They say lick, you lick. They say play nice, you get up on stage and deliver speeches while kissing babies and hugging fat girls." Realising what he was about to say next, Aang smirked as he spoke just barely above a whisper, leaning into the Firelord's scarred ear, "They say fuck your fiancé, you fuck… albeit rather disappointingly."
Not knowing how to contain his anger anymore, Zuko pulled back only to slam Aang against the wall again, noticing the Avatar laughing when his bald head bounced off the wall. Zuko thought Aang had changed, he just never realised exactly how much, as Aang continued laughing while bombarding him with even more statements.
"You'll see Zuko… I'll show you. These people think they can control me… I'll show you. When the chips are down, these uhhh… these civilized people… they'll eat each other. They judge me for killing Ozai when they knew I had no other choice, I'll show them… when their life is on the line… I'll show them and I'll show her… you people are no better than me."
"Enough games Aang! What the fuck are you planning?!"
"You see I'm not a monster" Aang evaded, not wanting to answer his question just yet, "I'm just ahead of the curb."
His irritation and rage growing ever larger, the Firelord flipped over and slammed the Avatar onto his war table – his annoyance rising upon hearing the Avatar laugh at his use of violence to get him to reveal his secrets.
"What's your plan?!" Zuko yelled as he approached the Avatar once again, his laughter not subsiding.
"You have all these rules, and you think they'll save you…" Aang trailed off as he was harshly grabbed by his scalp and shoved into the table, causing him to laugh even louder upon being numb to the pain originating from the blood spilling out of his busted lip and broken nose.
"What are you planning?!" Zuko demanded again, while Aang twisted to lay on his back so he could laugh in Zuko's face.
"You know, while I was talking to her, I could tell your fiancé was imagining how I looked naked…" Aang continued through his hysterical laughter, "and you know what'd be really funny? What if I told you, I don't need to imagine what she'd look like naked at all?"
Aang's statement was cut short and his laughter continued when Zuko punched him again. While Zuko attempted to beat the Avatar into submission, he was shocked and distraught by the fact that the most powerful man in the world was allowing Zuko to beat him to a pulp instead of fighting back. And the fact that he was laughing at Zuko's futile attempts to threaten him, made the Firelord all the more uneasy and frightened.
"What's you're fucking plan Aang! What do my sister and fiancé have to do with this?!"
His laughter subsiding for the moment, Aang playfully frowned as he shrugged his shoulders while he replied, acting like it was no big deal, "You took the love of my life all those years ago, so I fucked your sister. Seems fair…" Aang trailed off, however, upon noticing that the Firelord's anger simply rose to uncharted levels, Aang opted to continue with his little game, "You know, you should learn to pleasure the waterbender properly. With the way she was drooling and swooning over me a couple minutes ago, you really shouldn't be too surprised if you hear your fiancé screaming my name in a couple days."
After three consecutive punches to the jaw, the Avatar continued to laugh his ass off as he continued to dance around the Firelord's might – a force which he simply disregarded as child's play as he was secretly overjoyed by the fact that Zuko was unknowingly falling into his trap – and he was loving every second of it.
"You have… nothing… nothing to threaten me with… nothing to do, with all your strength."
Seething in anger once again, Zuko fisted the Avatar's robes while holding up a makeshift-firebended dagger to his throat. Meanwhile, he did not notice the yelling that was originating from behind his office doors as all he was focused on was the menacing Avatar and his unknown plan.
"Don't worry Zuko… you'll find out soon enough. And that's the point… you'll have to choose. And so will she. You're either with me or against me… and speaking of waterbenders…" Aang turned his attention to the door that was now being slammed on by an irate waterbender. Knowing exactly what was going to happen in the next three seconds, he counted down…
3… 2… 1…
The door was water-whipped open and an angry Katara ran in only to be stunned seconds later. Horrified by the sight of a bloodied Aang being held by Zuko with a dagger against his throat, Katara didn't even allow her fiancé to explain as she water-whipped him in the face, causing the Firelord to be slung backwards into his study. While her fiancé groaned in pain, Katara ran towards the Avatar and held him in her arms, cupping his bloodied face; assessing the damages while allowing him to wipe the few tears trailing down her cheeks using his thumb. Eventually the groans of pain originating from her fiancé became too much and she turned her attention to him while allowing Aang to sit and rest behind her.
Azula really does know what she's doing, Aang thought to himself, noticing the hatred radiating from the waterbender beside him.
Seething at her fiancé, Katara exclaimed, "You promised Zuko! You promised that you would never hurt him! After everything we put him though, you promised me you wouldn't lay a finger on him!"
"Katara, listen to me. He's- "
"Shut up!" The irate master waterbender yelled, not finished with her warning, Katara continued, "You promised me we wouldn't hurt him!" Clutching the red betrothal necklace that hung from her neck, Katara spoke in a menacingly evil tone as another promise rushed her mind, "And I promised you long ago, that if you ever hurt Aang… I would end you… right then and there."
Recognising exactly which promise she was recalling, Zuko's eyes widened as he stared at Katara in disbelief – the woman that he loved, his fiancé, was threatening to kill him… for that Avatar!
"K-Katara – y-you wouldn't…?" Zuko asked in disbelief.
Huffing in defeat and annoyance, Katara was barely able to notice Azula walking into the room to help Aang leave. But once that was done, she understood she couldn't actually kill her betrothed, she loved him after all… right? Realising that now was not the time to confront him, Katara took a page out of Aang's book and chose to confront him later, when she'd be thinking clearly and wouldn't be seething in anger.
"I need time to think. Don't follow me and don't you even dare step within 5 metres of Aang – I'll freeze you on the spot and leave you like that for the night."
Turning around, Katara walked out of the room to check up on Aang, not even giving Zuko the chance to explain himself once again. As he laid there in pain and heartbreak, Zuko wondered if this was Aang's plan all along, or at least part of it; to separate the two people who had broken his heart all those years ago. However, from what he was talking about before, it couldn't just be a personal vendetta designed to make Zuko suffer. Surely it had to be much more – not even Aang is that petty – however, Zuko no longer knew if even that was true. This new Aang seemed to have no limit, no moral compass – and the only thing more threatening than a broken man who is looking to bring the world to its knees, was a broken man who thought he was in the right in doing so.
"How did you know I'd be able to get her to arrive at exactly the perfect moment?"
"I didn't…" Aang answered, staring into her amber eyes as she cleaned the blood off his face with a wet rag, "I guess I just trusted your instincts."
Azula smirked and leaned in to kiss him passionately. He didn't allow his busted lip to hinder his performance or ruin the moment, so he ignored the pain and swirled his tongue against hers as she moaned in delight. They would've continued their little activity if Aang hadn't noticed Katara approaching through his seismic sense. So, he abruptly ended the kiss and whispered, "She's coming."
Nodding in response, Azula got off his lap and continued cleaning his face. It wasn't long after Katara approached that the pair turned around to meet her eyes, staring back at them with shame and guilt once she spoke up.
"A-Aang. I'm sorry about what happened. He will not do that ever again. I'll make sure of it."
"Its okay, Katara…" Aang replied, easing her concern for the time being. Meeting her ocean eyes – the same ones he once dearly loved and still did to an extent– the airbender added while offering her a sad smile, "I'm sorry you had to see that."
Upon hearing his reassuring words, Katara sadly smiled back, however, it dropped back into a frown when she noticed his broken nose, busted lip, and bruised jaw. "Looks like you need a healer…" Katara trailed off, not wanting to intrude on him and Azula but not wanting him to remain in his injured state either.
Aang gave her a genuine smile as he answered while chuckling, "Yeah, if you don't mind."
"Not at all," Katara admitted while shaking her head in reassurance, stepping closer to the airbender while Azula remained.
Realising the next step of the plan, Azula gave Aang a knowing look to which he responded by nodding – so, she set the wet rag down next to the bucket of water and walked out of the garden.
Finally being able to have a moment alone with him – albeit not in the best of circumstances – Katara sighed in relief as she stepped closer and bended the water from the bucket to her hands. Once they began glowing, she began healing his broken nose, their faces only a couple inches apart as he stared up into her cerulean eyes – something he hadn't done in several years and longed to do ever since they'd been separated.
"You wanna tell me what all that was about, back there?"
"Later… right now, I wanna focus on you…" Aang trailed off as he placed his tattooed hand over her tanned one, the one that was holding onto the side of his jaw, "… just you." Aang added lovingly.
Katara blushed at the gesture and the heated yet loving gaze she was receiving from her patient. "I'm serious, Aang. What were you two-"
"Later, Katara… I promise." Aang cut her off, caressing the knuckles of her hand soothingly, he reassured her through his words, "We both need to cool off. We'll talk about it later, but right now, I want to know about you." She raised her eyebrows as to question what he was referring to when she finished healing his nose and began to work on his jaw, "What have you been up to lately?"
Sighing in defeat once she saw those pleadingly sad puppy dog eyes – Spirits I could never say no to that look – Katara responded, seemingly uninterested in her own life, "Oh you know nothing much. Just settling disputes in the Fire Nation, helping Sokka maintain relationships with the Southern Water Tribe, stopping rebellions… just doing my duty as future Fire Lady."
"And how's that going so far?" He asked gently, noticing that she was now caressing his jaw subconsciously.
"It's going great…" she deadpanned, "or – it was…" Not wanting the conversation to return to the previous fight as she was now talking with her best friend again – something she didn't think she'd ever be able to do again – Katara opted to ask him the same question. "What about you? What's the Avatar been up to these days?"
"Same as you," Aang replied, smiling that sweet smile she grew fond of while she continued to heal his jaw, "Stopping disputes, disrupting rebellions, keeping the peace… just on a much larger scale."
"Are you saying my position as Fire Lady doesn't measure up to yours, young Avatar?" She smirked playfully, raising her eyebrow to play along.
"Katara," Aang now took hold of the hand that was healing his jaw as well as the other and spoke softly, "you could be the same sheltered, 14-year-old, novice waterbender who I woke up in the arms of and you'd still be worth more to me than my own Avatar State."
Katara stared wide-eyed at the handsome teenager beside her; her eyes tearing up and face heating up with a pink tint from his loving words, sweet delivery, and soothing gesture. She always knew that Aang was a natural charmer, she had seen and heard as much from travellers and Azula herself was proof of that – but she never knew exactly how much of a sweet talker he was until she took notice of how he was able to freeze all her senses in a couple of seconds with a few loving words. All she could feel was his and her own breathing, slowing getting heavier and heavier as they stared into each other's eyes.
Trying to shake her blush off, Katara dipped her head in embarrassment as she stated, "You're going to need to let go of my hand if you want to be healed."
Aang simply let go of her hand without another word, his eyes still not leaving hers as she continued to work her magic; healing his wounds as she continued to blush due to being unable to shake of his loving gaze from the corner of her eyes.
Once she finished healing his lips, Aang sighed in relief while she waterbended the water back into the bucket. With his face now as good as new, Katara was about to leave but was unable to when she noticed Aang was still holding onto her hand. Turning around to state the obvious, she halted when Aang spoke up instead:
"Thank you, Katara."
Smiling at him, she moved closer and caressed his now healed cheek lovingly. "Don't mention it."
Still not averting his eyes from hers, Aang asked, "Have I mentioned I missed you?" When Katara shook her head, Aang opted to reassure her, "I missed you, Katara."
Slightly growing teary eyed again, the waterbender leaned in and embraced the airbender beside her, her hands wrapping around his neck and chin resting on his head while his strong arms wrapped around waist and his head rested on her chest. They both let out a breath that neither knew they were holding as they held each other for what felt like a few short seconds but was instead many long minutes. Exiting their embrace, Katara leaned down slightly and seated herself on his lap as she took his face in her hands, caressing his jawline and cheekbones soothingly.
"I missed you too, did I mention that?" Aang shook his head slowly, to which she leaned in further, her hot breath touching his lips slightly when she responded, "Well I missed you, more than you know… more than I deserve…" She trailed off, dipping her head in shame.
However, Aang lifted her chin so she would look him in the eyes and when she did, his hand travelled to caress her tanned cheek while he reassured her – his words speaking a truth he fully believed yet did not want to accept at the time, "You deserve everything Katara…" Aang trailed off when he noticed Katara's already half-lidded eyes shutting as she slowly closed the remaining distance between them. Recognising that his charm was working and that his plan was now completely set-in motion, Aang smiled slightly, whispering the last bit before he captured her soft lips with his own, "… everything."
And just like that, the once two lovers reunited; with Katara's arms wrapping around his neck and Aang's hands running up and down her hips, Katara moaned at the sensation of her tongue doing battle with his. Although this may have seemed romantic to an outsider looking in – or rather they would've considered it cheating – one outsider in particular knew better. As Azula watched from afar, the Avatar and her soon-to-be-though-maybe-not-now-sister-in-law making out under the full moon, she couldn't help but feel a surge of jealousy run through her cold heart. She knew this was a crucial component of Aang's plan, and although she was fine with the prospect of sharing him with another in the past, seeing him wrapped around Katara now felt like a stab at the heart.
However, she would not interfere, for the Avatar may kill her as a consequence – and she was quite fond of remaining alive. Azula knew she'd just have to wait and watch as Aang's plan was finally set-in-motion, and other than the fact that she could devour the Avatar's body as a perk, the fact that her brother was now distraught and heartbroken brought her much amusement and satisfaction.
Azula recalled, it was like Aang told Zuko moments ago, when the chips are down, they'll all see… they're no better than him.
