A/N: Here is the next chapter of my Megaforce rewrite, which I've dubbed "Starforce". I hope you enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own Power Rangers Megaforce/Starforce or Tensou Sentai Goseiger in any way. I just own most of the plot and the characters and things you don't recognize from the original version.
This chapter is Troy-centric, as well as some on Jake and Gia, since the original Sentai episode started on Red, before making it so Black and Yellow got the Land Brothers for some reason. So, here, the focus is a little more balanced. And to the people who wanted to know how Noah and Jordan's project went in Chapter 2, this chapter's for you guys!
Also, I found it interesting that this episode is connected to Dino Charge in two ways. Jarred Blakiston (Prince Phillip) plays the guy who informs Jordan about the monster attack, while a similar plot is used later in "Besties 4Eva!".

"A classmate named Jordan claims that he's the Red Ranger, while the real Rangers struggle to defeat a speedster monster called Dragonflay, a defeat that Gia and Jake don't take very well."

The Land Beyond

"Mercredi," Veneris asked, "are you sure it was a good idea giving the Sea Brothers to the Rangers?"
"Yes," Mercredi calmly replied. "The one borrowing my powers showed great courage during that battle."
"I agree," Samedi added. "He deserved a reward of some kind."
Solis cut in, "Besides, the fight is getting tougher. The humans will need all the help they can get."
Mardi was quiet when he spoke, "I was wrong. It seems that humans to have the capabilities to learn from their mistakes."
"Yes," Solis agreed, before pointing out, "but these humans do have a long ways to go."
The rest all nodded. Mardi and Veneris were currently being swayed over to the other five's side of all this. They were beginning to agree that the test was indeed a good idea, although they too had a long way to go.
The Boss was quiet up until this point. They had just been sitting there, listening to this conversation, not because they were incompetent, but because this was their method of listening to all sides of the argument. This was what they always did, before making a decision that was best for the situation at hand.
"The test will continue," the Boss informed them.
"Right!" they all replied.
"Jovis, Lunae," the Boss continued, "wake up the Land Brothers. Solis, Samedi, wake up the Sky Brothers. The Rangers will soon need them as well."
"Right away!"

Troy stirred in his sleep, unable to keep the dark thoughts out of his mind.
"Why did we leave you?" his father asked, laughing. "You asking stupid questions like that is just another example."
Young Troy raised an eyebrow, confused as to why his own parents were laughing at him. Granted their faces were just covered in shadows, since he never met them, but his heart still beat with repeated twinges of betrayal.
His mother wasn't helping, with giggling that always annoyed him, "Oh, let's just give him an answer. That way, we won't have to hear that same question from him anymore."
Troy never got an answer, due to him instantly waking up in a cold sweat. He quickly checked his alarm clock, which read '4:32 AM'. Not quite time to wake up yet.
"Why do I always have that dream?" Troy asked himself.
He never knew who is parents were, and that always bothered him. But he was grateful that he had his uncle and aunt, who were always so supportive of him.
However, his biggest wish was to meet his parents, and despite being afraid of the answer, to ask them that one question:
"Why did you leave me?"
But he hated this recurring nightmare for one particular reason.
He continued to himself, "And why do I never get a clear answer?"

Creepox had been the one who was adamant on leading the mission today, "Admiral Malkor, sir, this time, I'll prove to you how easily these weak humans will fall. Trust me, I am just the guy to get it done."
Malkor sighed, "Very well, Creepox. But I expect success fitting of a demon invasion."
"Oh, it will happen. Just watch," Creepox said, before calling out, "Dragonflay!"
The said Field Commander zipped into the room and did a dramatic pose before facing the three higher-ups. "I'm so cool. Send me into battle and I'll make quick work of those humans!"
Malkr was impressed, "Yes, your magnificent speed may be just the thing we need to take those pesky brats down once and for all."
Creepox stood next to Dragonflay, "Forget Vrak's complicated schemes. This is the path to victory. Strike fast and strike hard."
Vrak only scoffed.

It was still at least ten minutes after school had ended, and Troy had discovered that the dojo was closed today, due to a family emergency Sensei Kenji had to attend to. So, Troy had just decided to spend his remaining time at Ernie's Brain Freeze.
Still out of it thanks to his nightmare, he was caught off-guard when he felt someone tap his shoulder. He turned around, only to see Emma's smiling face.
"Hey, Troy!" she greeted. He couldn't help but smile back.
"Hey," he softly replied, before noting the blue bin that she was carrying. "What are you up to?"
"Just helping Ernie with the recycling," she answered, as she took an empty plastic cup and placed it in the bin. "Everybody from school is going to be here soon." She was quick to notice that he wasn't really paying attention, and she immediately concerned. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Troy was quick to reply. "It's nothing, just a bad dream I had last night."
Emma was about to (gently) push for more information, but they were both suddenly distracted by the commotion at a nearby table, and they both turned around to look at what was going on.
A large group of people were surrounding a familiar look young man, either sitting or standing, while they listened the man excitedly talk to them.
"I'm not kidding!" the man said as more people started gathering around him. "150! 150 against one! But I hit him over the head with a toaster, and I'm like 'you're toast, man, you're toast'!"
"Isn't that...Jordan?" Emma asked.
Troy nodded, "Yeah, Noah's 'Getting to Know You' project partner."
"What's he talking about?" Emma asked, she and Troy both noting how the crowd hung onto Jordan's every word.
From behind the counter, Ernie was apparently listening to them, as he suddenly spoke from behind them, "You two really don't know who that is?" The two teens turned around to face him, both of them confused as they shook their heads. Ernie was putting drinks onto a tray, as he exictedly told them, "That's the Red Starforce Ranger!"
Ernie carried the tray of drinks over to Jordan's table as the teen continued to tell the crowd about his exciting 'adventures' as a Power Ranger.
Troy turned to Emma, both with amused smiles on their faces, and asked, "Really?"
Jordan continued, "I rebound off the wall, then I let loose with a flying roundhouse kick. And boom! Down goes the monster! You wanna know what I call that little move? A typical Tuesday."
"Wow," Emma softly said, before turning to Troy. "Can you believe that faker?" Her smile faded, "Are you going to do anything about it?"
She was surprised at how calm Troy was.
"If you're brave enough," Jordan was saying, "then monster fighting is a breeze."
Meanwhile, Troy didn't really think that Jordan's stories were harming anybody. Yet, at least. For now, they were just stories. He just found this amusing.
So, he stood up and took the bin from Emma's hands, "Yeah. I'm gonna help you by taking these to the recycling bin."
Emma watched him leave out the back, as Jordan cheesily announced to the various phones recording him, "As Earth's defender, I never surrender."
And she wondered why Troy was so calm about this.

Troy entered the recycling room deep in thought. After the door closed, he pondered to himself.
They needed to get stronger to stop these monsters. But how? What could give the Rangers an edge over them.
Troy walked over to the reycling bins in the room and dumped the bin's contents into them.
As he turned around to walk away, a bottle fell out and hit the floor.
This was what gave Troy an idea.

In his favorite forest to train, Troy had took the large bounty of bottles from the reycling bins and put them to use.
He had hung them up onto the tree branches, to act as obstacles he could practice dodging by pretending that they were monster attacks.
He then blinded folded himself, ready to begin.
He took a deep breathe, "Focus on your awareness, Troy Burrows. Sense the obstacles and the world around you."
He yanked on a cord, and heard the bottles all starting to swing in random directions.
He smiled as he began practicing his fighting skills among the swinging bottles.
His next step was to bring the other Rangers out here, so they could practice too.

An hour later, Emma was sitting at a table at Ernie's, by herself, working on her homework, when Gia, Jake, and Noah all walked into the shop and joined her.
Just like she knew they would, the three of them quickly noticed the commotion at Jordan's table, as Jake asked, "What's going on there?"
Emma put her homework away as she replied, "Jordan's been telling everyone that he's the Red Ranger."
"What?!" Noah almost yelled. Fortunately, he quickly caught himself and whispered back, "Gosei said that we were supposed to keep our Ranger identities secret."
"I know," was all Emma said.
"I think the point you should be concerned about, Noah," Gia said, "is the fact that he's telling everybody that he's the Red Ranger."
Emma nodded, before the four turned around to listen to Jordan's next words.
"You know, the other Rangers aren't bad," he was saying, "but I pretty much handle those monsters all by myself. They're basically useless."
"Excuse me?" Jake asked, justifiably disgusted. "You have got to kidding me."
"Don't let it get to you," Gia was quick to tell the others. "He's just some guy looking for attention." She turned to face Jake, "You can relate, right?"
Emma giggled as Jake sent her an amused glare.
But Noah's next line was a little surprising, "Don't be too hard on Jordan. That project told me a lot about him." When the others didn't speak up, Noah continued, "He's the youngest of three siblings, and the older two are highly successful. They're in college and already at the top of their class. Jordan told me that he constantly feels like he's the runt of the litter, so to speak, and that he needs to stand out in order to get attention from his parents, as well as others."
The other three were silent at this revelation.
After a beat, Gia turned to Emma, "Has Troy seen this yet?"
Emma nodded, "Yeah, but he wasn't really fazed. Amused, yes, but he didn't seem to be bothered."
She was relieved to see that she wasn't the only one confused by this.

Troy stopped his practicing and removed his blindfold when he heard his morpher go off in his backpack. He quickly crossed the space and picked up, "Yes?"
"Monster attack in the city!" Tensou told him, frantic. "I'm sending you the coordinates now!"
Troy picked up his backpack and replied with, "Contact the others. Tell them I'm on my way," before facing out of the forest.

"I could've chosen blue," Jordan was telling the crowd. "But Blue's too nerdy. Black's too egotistical. Pink's too girly, and Yellow? Eh, too dull."
Gia felt one of her eyebrows twitch in annoyance (she was far from dull; she was a delight!). Next to her, she could feel Emma's mutter of "Pink's a great color!", Noah's "Hey, I own my nerdiness!", and Jake's "Egotistical? You're one to talk!", and Gia immediately felt better upon knowing she wasn't the only one disgruntled by what Jordan was saying.
"Red's obviously the best choice!" Jordan continued, before taking a sip of his smoothie. "Next question!"
Their morphers suddenly went off in their pockets. The four cautiously looked around, before getting up and going to the back, where there was more cover around when morphing.
As they did, a young man raced into the plan, and told Jordan, "There's a monster attacking the city!"
Jordan was immediately stunned, and for a moment, finally stopped talking.
Jake paused upon hearing this and stopped the other three, and Emma asked him, "What's wrong?"
"This could be bad," Jake whispered back, nodding his head over at Jordan. "It depends on what he decides to do."
The man continued, "You're going to stop it, right?"
Jordan was obviously having a moment of panic.
Emma whispered to the other three, panicked herself, "He's not going to do something so foolish, is he? Just for a lie?"
She got her answer quickly, as, in that moment, Jordan stood up and proudly declared, "You bet! Can't leave it all to the other Rangers, now can I?"
The crowd cheered him on as he walked out of Ernie's.
Gia urged the others, "Come on! We're losing time!"
The four teens raced out of the back door and morphed behind a dumpster, as they ran towards the city.
"Shine Down!"
As they did, Jake said, "We have to get there before Jordan becomes monster food!"

Meanwhile, Dragonflay continued to attack the city, destroying three buildings in one sprint.
When he stopped, he gleefully said, "Creepox is right! We're on the fast track to victory!"
He turned around when he heard a voice shouting at him, "Stop, monster!"
It was a civilian: Jordan. He was obviously very scared, but trying his best to be brave.
"Who are you, scaredy cat?" Dragonflay asked.
"You don't know who I am?" he asked, trying to use his lies to back himself up, to bring up his confidence.
"No, and I don't care!" Dragonflay said before lasers out of his eyes at him.
Jordan somehow miraculously found himself dodging them just in time, by falling backwards on his behind.
The monster was not happy about this, "Well, you won't dodge the next one!" Dragonflay found himself cut off by another voice, four actually.
"That's enough, monster!" he turned to see the Rangers, minus Red. Yellow continued speaking, "Why won't you deal with someone who can actually fight back?!"
Jordan smiled, thrilled to see the four Rangers, but he was immediately startled when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned to see the person he was portraying himself as.
The Red Ranger.
"Leave this to us," Troy calmly told him. "I need to get you to safety. Now. As you can see, it's about to get really dangerous." Troy then helped Jordan back on his feet and they raced to a place that was safer.
Meanwhile, Dragonflay used his Super Speed to attack the remaining four Rangers out of nowhere, knocking them off their feet. He gloated as they were writhing on the ground, "Ha! You Rangers are not up to speed. We demons are taking over the world, and there's nothing you can do to stop us!" Dragonflay merely laughed again as the four got back on their feet quickly, "None of your tricks can stop me! I will take you down, fast and furious!"
He then used his Super Speed to race around them.
"What?!" Gia asked, as the four looked around cautiously. "Where is he?!"
"He's so quick, we can't see him," Jake replied.
"You think he went after that kid?" Gia asked, referring to Jordan.
"Don't worry!" Troy replied, as he came running onto the scene. "I got him out of the way."
"Careful!" Noah shouted, and Troy stopped. "This guy is so fast, he's invisible!"
His voice coming from all around them, Dragonflay gloated, "You can't stop what you can't see!" before knocking Troy off his feet. "And I'm not even trying hard here!" He continued running around.
The other four gathered around Troy in the meantime and helped him back on his feet.
"You okay?" Emma asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Troy replied, before bringing out his Dragon Sword. He confessed to the others, "I could sense him right before he struck." He then told himself, as he raised the Dragon Sword up to his chest, "I know I can do this. I just need focus on my awareness like I did before."
Emma quickly noted this, "What are you doing? Pay attention!"
"I am paying attention," Troy calmly replied. "To the wind."
"The wind?" Emma asked, amused, as the other three turned to face him.
"Yes," Troy replied. "We can't see him, but we can feel the wind he creates when he moves and use it to discover where he is."
He then glided towards the right and struck Dragonflay dead on.
Now lying on the ground, Dragonflay demanded, "How did you do that?!"
The other four ran up to Troy, "Nice job!"
"Smart move!" Noah said. "Now, let's finish this!"
Dragonflay struggled back to his feet, "I won't let you stop me that easily."
Unseen, Creepox watched the battle from a distance and commented to himself, "The Red Ranger is a bigger problem than I thought."
Meanwhile, Jake was eager, "It's time to shut you down!"
The five Rangers charged towards Dragonflay, but Troy paused when he heard a cheer.
It was Jordan, "You guys rock!"
"What is he doing?" Emma asked. "It's not safe!"
Dragonflay used this chance to get back up. Seeing Jordan, he stated, "You again! Well, this time, I'll finish the job!"
"Watch out!" Troy called out as Dragonflay fired at all of the Rangers.
The five Rangers all ducked, and they, plus Jordan (by some miracle), managed to not get hit.
As Jordan ran away to hide in a safe place that he was able to clearly see the battle from, Creepox decided this was his chance to say hello.
The five Rangers were charging towards Dragonflay again, when they were knocked down by Creepox, who struck them several times, before moving to stand over Troy.
"Creepox," Troy grumbled.
"You're mine now!"
Troy got up, holding his Dragon Sword, "Think again, cockroach! You really don't understand a thing about us humans."
"I don't want to understand you," Creepox shot back.
"And that is your big mistake!" Troy replied.
Creepox responded with, "My biggest mistake is not crushing you before now!"
Troy charged towards Creepox with his Dragon Sword in hand, but the monster easily stopped the blow and struck Troy hard, sending him flying.
"Everything I need to know about humans, I already know!" Creepox said.
He was about to charge in again when the other four Rangers returned the favor by hitting him with their Star Blasters.
Creepox growled, before threatening them, "I'll be back, Rangers, when you least expect me."
In a snap, both Creepox and Dragonflay vanished.
The Rangers knew they couldn't de-morph now, because Jordan was still there. Gia immediately went up to Troy, Jake hot on her heels.
"Red," Troy turned to face her. "You need to teach me how you did that."
"Both of us," Jake pushed. "Please."
Troy reminded himself that as the two Rangers who ruled over the Land, Gia and Jake were both the strongest of the five in body. Noah was the strongest in mind, while he and Emma were the strongest in heart. Thus, it was only natural that Gia and Jake would be taking this loss hard.
"Don't worry," he tried his best to calm them down, by placing a gentle hand on each other their shoulders. "I'll teach all of you how I did it."
"Thanks," Gia muttered, Emma placed a calming hand on her shoulder, as Jake spotted Jordan racing up to them.
Jake marched up to him, obviously not happy to see him, "You! Do you realize what you've done? You almost made us lose!"
Troy quickly rushed in to calm him, "Take it easy, Black." He turned to Jordan, "What's your name?"
"Jordan," the young man replied.
"Listen, Jordan," Troy continued, "you shouldn't lie about being something you're not."
He was amused by it before, but when Jordan decided to follow them onto the battlefield right after Troy had personally escorted him somewhere far away, some place safer, that was the last straw. Despite disagreeing with his forceful methods, Troy knew Jake was right. This had gone too far.
"Yeah," Gia replied, obviously angry like Jake, but calmer about it like Troy. "You put yourself and the rest of us in big time danger."
"S-Sorry," Jordan stuttered. "I-I didn't think I would actually get into a real fight."
Troy replied, "We know you want to help, but it takes special powers and training to fight these monsters. The powers we have that allow us to morph? We didn't find them on our own. They were given to us." He turned to the other four, "Come on. We got to go."
The five then raced in the direction opposite of Jordan.
Jordan called out, "Hey! Where are you going?"
Jake stopped and said, exasperated, "Dude, just go home," before running faster to catch up with the others.

After letting his aunt and uncle know, he'd be late getting home today, due to a 'group project', Troy had brought the others to his secret training site, where the bottles still hung from the trees.
He also suggested that the others tell their parents or guardians the same 'group project' story. Also, it wasn't exactly a lie. Defeating Dragonflay sincerely would take teamwork to defeat. It was just not the full story.
He gave them all blindfolds, and Gia and Jake, being the two Land Rangers, immediately understood the concept. The two immediately took to dodging the bottles while practicing their martial arts moves and they were pretty good at it.
Meanwhile, Noah and Emma were a little confused, so Troy told the two, "Use your senses. Rely on more than your vision. Remember what I said before. Sense the wind and read the attack before it comes."
"Really?" Noah asked, as Emma placed her blindfold around her eyes, blocking her sight. "I-I don't know about this."
"It's okay, Noah," Troy calmly told him, with a kind smile. "You can do this."
The two watched Emma start the exercise and quickly get the hang on the concept, while Gia and Jake moved onto sparing with each other, and the fight was pretty even.
Troy smiled as Noah put his own blindfold on and charged in. After a couple of tries, Noah began to understand it as well and quickly adapted to it. When he did, Troy put his own blindfold on and joined them.
A couple of minutes in, the five all used their heightened senses to note that someone was walking towards them, someone that was not any of the five Rangers.
When Jordan finally found the Rangers, he found them (sans Red) fully morphed and walking towards him.
"You know, Jordan," Blue told him, "it's not cool to sneak up on people."
"I, uh..."
"What are you doing here?" Black asked him, as they gathered around him.
Jordan didn't have an answer. He was startled (again) when the Red Ranger seemingly came out of nowhere.
"You shouldn't have followed us," Red said.
"But...I-..." Jordan cut himself off. He didn't know what to say.
Red continued, "We know you want to be like us. It must be hard to compete with a successful family, but it takes a lot more than desire to be a Power Ranger. It takes dedication and an incredible amount of training."
He then led Jordan closer to their training area, the other four following.
"And that's what we were doing when you decided to sneak up on us," Red revealed. "You want to know what we do?" he asked Jordan, before turning to Black. "Show him."
And Black gave a demonstration of their training, dodging the swinging bottles and moving around and under the log set up like it was nothing to him.
Black turned around and shrugged, "Just like that. It looked easy, right?"
Red gently told Jordan, "Go ahead. Give it a try."
Jordan tried his best to do what the Black Ranger just did, and he failed miserably. He only ended up on the ground, feeling bad. He looked up to see the five Rangers walking towards him.
"I'm sorry," he honestly said, quietly. "I just wanted to see what it was like to be looked up to for once. Always being the youngest and at the bottom, it really gets to you sometimes. But I get it now. I'm no super hero."
"It's okay, we forgive you," Yellow calmly told him. "To be honest, there are some days where we don't always feel like super heroes ourselves. But that's why we're a team, to help and support each other, and to pick each other up when we feel down. Together, we know that we're never alone." He saw the other four nod at this.
Jordan remembered what he said earlier about the other four Rangers, 'You know, the other Rangers aren't bad, but I pretty much handle those monsters all by myself. They're basically useless.'
He was so naive and self-centered, too high on the attention the crowd was giving him when he said this. And now, he regretted it.
"She's right," Blue said. "We all have off days, but we always take our mission to protect the Earth very seriously."
Pink knelt beside him, "It's obvious that you're a good person, Jordan, and my mom always used to say that 'you don't waste good'. So start small. Start recycling. Start being nice to others. Maybe the best way to help protect the Earth is just being yourself."
The Rangers' morphers chose, in that moment, to go off, signaling the arrival of a monster, probably the same one.
Red turned back to Jordan, as Pink stood back up, and said, "We have to do. For everyone's safety, you need to stay here."
Jordan nodded, fully intending on staying this time, and the Rangers raced out of the forest.

"I wonder what I get to destroy next!"
Dragonflay was stopped in his fun, once again, by the Power Rangers. "This realm is not your playground!" Troy said.
"Oh, yes it is!"
"You better be careful," Troy replied. "You will get a lot more than you bargained for. Earth's Defenders-"
"-Never Surrender! Power Rangers: Starforce!"
Dragonflay laughed at them, "You Rangers are the ones who should be careful. You got lucky last time!"
He charged at them with his Super Speed.
Troy immediately told the others, "Remember what I taught you. Concentrate."
He suddenly leapt through the air, his Dragon Sword in hand, only for Creepox to stop his attack.
"Nice," Creepox told Troy. "Too bad I'm not Dragonflay."
"It's a good thing, actually," Troy replied. "You're the one I was really after."
He immediately sensed Dragonflay speed towards him, but right before the monster could strike, the other four fired their Star Blasters and knocked him to the ground.
"Nailed ya!" Jake said. "Speed means nothing now that we can sense where you are."
Noah turned to Troy, "You take on Creepox. Leave Dragonflay to us."
"Right!" Troy nodded and let his team charged at the monster. Meanwhile, his fight with Creepox eventually led the two somewhere farther away.
Dragonflay got back on his feet, "I'm not done yet!" He then used his Super Speed and seemingly vanished.
"We lost him!" Emma said.
"Remember our training," Gia urged, her urge to lead taking over now that Troy was doing something else. "Group up."
And the four formed a circle with their backs towards each other, their Star Blasters at the ready.

Meanwhile, Troy fought Creepox, the fight taking them away from the rest of the Rangers. Creepox got in a powerful blow that had Troy flying and crashing into a car.
Troy quickly got up and blocked the monster's next attack with his Sword.
As they fought, Creepox said, "We demons were here, in the Land Between, long before you humans ever stepped foot here." Troy was struck again and crashed into some barrels. "You have no right to be here!"
But Troy quickly got back on his feet, silently pushing himself to continue on. The fight continued, Troy stopping some of Creepox's blows with his Sword.
"Give up!" Creepox told him. "Humanity's time in this realm is over."
Troy grunted before replying, "No! You think getting rid of us humans will be a piece of cake, but it won't! You've come here, just to be disappointed." He then fired at Creepox with his Star Blaster (still in its holster), and continued fighting, "We Rangers will never stop fighting for our fellow humans! No matter how hard you strike, we'll strike back even harder!"
"You'll still lose!" Creepox taunted. "You're a useless species that will soon be wiped out!"
The next blow sent Troy flying through the air, crashing through a wall, and hitting the pavement hard. Creepox then menacing walked towards him as Troy struggled to stand.
As he struggled, he replied, "You don't understand us at all. We have the ability to learn and get better all the time. That's why we train. Most of all, even if we fall a hundred times, we never stay down."
Creepox responded with, "Then, I'll make sure you stay down."
He charged towards Troy, who suddenly tossed his Dragon Sword into the air, jumped onto a bar and then flipped around him. Creepox missed his target, who then leapt back down, catching his Sword as he went, before striking Creepox with several powerful blows with his Sword.
Creepox backed away as soon as he got the chance, laughing, "Not bad, Red Ranger. But this is far from over."
The moment the demon left, Troy leaned against the nearest column, exhausted. That took most of his strength.
He'd be useless to the others now, but he had faith that they'd get the job done without him.

Meanwhile, the other four had just been knocked down by Dragonflay.
"You may be fast learners," Dragonflay taunted, "but I don't need to learn anything!"
"Regroup, now!" Gia called again, and the four reformed their cycle, their backs to each other. "Stay alert!" she wanted. "Remember. Don't sense him, but the air around him."
After a beat of silence, they all turned in the same direction and fired the Star Blasters at him together.
And they hit him.
With Dragonflay on the ground, Gia exclaimed, "Nice one, guys! We got him! Now, let's finish this. Noah, call the Sea Brothers."
Noah nodded and followed her order, "Sea Brothers: Shine Down!"
"Summon Star Headders!"
The mentioned Zords were now tiny and they flew around like self-aware fireflies.
"We're going to use these to power up our Star Blasters," Gia said.
"Right!" Noah said, before hooking up the Shark Headder up to his Morpher, and the others did the same with the three Brothers.
"Manta Star, Set!" Emma said.
"Sawshark Star, Set!" Jake said.
"Hammerhead Star, Set!" Gia said.
"Shark Star, Set!" Noah finished, as Dragonflay got back to his feet.
"All together now," Gia said, as their Blasters fired up.
"Sea Brothers: Final Strike!"
And with that, the combined blast finally destroyed Dragonflay.

The Land Below
Vrak scoffed at this turn of events. He was expecting this. He smugly, sarcastically remarked, "Yes, Creepox. That definitely worked so much better than my 'complicated schemes'. Zombats!"
He snapped his fingers, deciding to give Dragonflay another shot.

Highway 20 Overpass, City Square, Harwood County, Oregon
Troy stumbled over to the other four Rangers, "Guys!"
"Troy!" They all called as they met him halfway.
"You okay?" Emma asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Troy replied. "But fighting Creepox took a lot out of me. Sorry he got away." Suddenly, the Zombats flew in and revived Dragonflay. "But this guy's not going anywhere."
Now that he was giant size, the Rangers pulled out their Morphers.
"Mechazords, Shine Down!"
"Summon Zords!"
After the Rangers all leapt into their mechazords, Troy told his team, "Let's do this!" before holding up his copy of a certain Power Card.
"Zords Combine!"
"Summon Megazord!"
Jake and Gia connected first, forming the legs. Troy followed up, forming the torso. Noah and Emma were last with the arms. The head was formed last.
"Gosei Great Megazord! Ready!"
Dragonflay bragged, "I'm bigger and stronger. You'll never catch me now!" He then took off at high speed.
"Where'd he go?" Emma asked.
The monster raced around the Megazord, managing to land several strikes. Then then stopped to laugh at them, "Might as well give up. It's hopeless." He then took off again.
"How are we supposed to sense where he is now?" Noah asked.
"We're moving way too slow," Troy said. "To beat him, we're going to need to be quicker. Gia, Jake, you two take over from here."
Him slumping over his console told them everything. Troy was too exhausted to lend his power this time. Emma immediately got out of her seat and rushed over to him, tending to him while the other three got to work.
"Don't worry, Troy," Gia gently told him. "We got this."
"Thanks," Troy tiredly replied.
Gia turned to her elemental partner, "He's right, Jake. Our Zords control the Megazord's feet, so this is our show now. Let's see what we can do together. You ready?" She sat back down.
Like her, it was obvious that he was itching to kick some speedster butt, "Oh yeah. We'll show him that when the going gets tough, we just get tougher."
"Go!" Together, the two stepped on their gas pedals.
And the Megazord immediately took off, chasing after Dragonflay with great speed.
"You'll never catch-" the monster cut himself off when he noticed what was going on behind him. The Megazord was gaining speed on him. "What?! That's bad news! And it's traveling fast!"
"Now, Jake!" Gia ordered.
"Snake Zord: Launch!"
The Snake Headder flew at Dragonflay's left head and immediately bit down on it. Dragonflay was forced to stop to remove it. "Trying to get a leg up on me, huh? Well, forget it!" He tossed the Snake Headder aside.
He then took off again.
"Man, he's so fast!" Jake exclaimed, before he and Gia got the Megazord's legs moving again.
"See ya, slowpokes!" the monster laughed as he sped away.
"It'll be tough without Troy's power," Gia commented, before promising the others, "but don't worry. I'll find the speed we need somehow!"
"Trying to give me a run for my money, huh?" Dragonflay asked.
The Megazord was currently the closest it had ever been. Jake reached out, "Just a little more..."
"No one's faster than me! Take this!" the monster cried, before firing his eye lasers at them, making the Megazord stumble.
But Gia and Jake remained undeterred, "You'll never shake us!"
"Now, both of us together, Jake," Gia said. "Take it the next level!"
"Right!" Jake said, before warning Dragonflay, "When the Earth needs to be protected-"
The two Land Rangers finished together, "-We'll always be the fastest!"
Suddenly, their belt buckles glowed and out floated two identical Power Cards. They then flashed, revealing what they were.
The Land Brothers.
"Jake, Gia, you two have shown great determination in the face of a strong adversary," Gosei told them. "The Land Brothers will great increase the propulsion power of your Megazord."
Jake summed it up, "So these will really speed us up." He asked Gia, "Wanna test 'em out?"
"I thought you'd never ask," Gia smiled, though it was hidden by her helmet.
"Land Brothers, Shine Down!"
"Summon Zords!"
From the land, out came the Tyranno, Beetle, and Rhino Zords, ready for battle.
"Activate Land Star Megazord!"
The three Zords attached themselves to the Megazord, created the said Megazord.
"Now!" This time, when pressing down the gas pedals, Gia and Jake were able to press them farther than before, with less effort, and the Megazord went even faster (like Gosei said it would). However, it was no longer running, but rather skating.
Dragonflay was immediately panicked when he looked behind him. The Megazord was getting faster and faster, and soon, he was no longer able to stay ahead of it.
"He's mine!" Jake said. "Beetle Head Slam!"
The headbutt knocked Dragonflay off his feet, and he struggled to stand back up.
"Nice one!" Noah commented.
"Impossible! They caught me?!" the monster asked.
"And we're just getting started!" Gia said, the Tyranno Headder roaring alongside her. "Tyranno Kick!"
The kick knocked him back further.
"Nowhere to run now," Jake said, as he and Gia held up two identical Victory Charge Power Card.
"Victory Charge: Shine Down! On behalf of The Land Beyond, your sentence is destruction! Land Strike!"
"Victory Charge!"
Dragonflay was finally destroyed for the last time, and the Rangers cheered.

Four-Leaf Clover Mall, Harwood Country, Oregon
Jordan slowly entered Ernie's Brain Freeze an hour after the Rangers left him in the forest. The fight had just ended, so the crowd that cheered for him as he entered the shop, as well as the mall, were assuming that he had just come from there.
After what the Rangers told him in the forest, he felt uncomfortable with all of this now. He didn't want to let them down after they so graciously gave him a second chance. No, he would not lie anymore. This time, he would get to the top the right way.
"Guys, listen," he spoke up, "this is very hard for me, but, um...I'm not actually a Power Ranger." The crowd laughed, obviously thinking that he was joking around. But he forced himself to continue, "No, seriously. The Power Rangers are the true heroes. They're great people too. I mean, they were super nice to me even after I...lied and everything. I just wanted the attention, so I'm sorry. Really sorry and I hope you all can forgive me."
He kinda hoped they would. He really hoped they would all understand his trouble.
But instead, he just watched as they all collectively gave him looks of disgust and walked away, out of the building.
Sulking, Jordan walked over to the counter and sat next to the new kid.
The new kid surprised him by saying, "That took a lot of courage to do that. The real Rangers would be proud of you."
Jordan turned to face him, "Thanks. That means a lot. I learned a lot from them today." He then paused. Something about this guy seemed very familiar to him. "Um, have we met before?"
The guy shrugged, "I don't think so. I'm Troy Burrows, the new kid."
"It's nice to meet you," Jordan replied, as the two shook hands. "I'm Jordan Burke. Actually, I'm a brand new Jordan, because I learned a big lesson about myself today, thanks to the Power Rangers."
Troy simply smiled.
In this moment, Ernie finished making Jordan's milkshake and turned around to give it to him, when he slipped. The drink went flying, but Jordan caught it before it hit the floor.
Impressed, Ernie said, "Nice catch. Where did you learn that?"
Jordan was being honest when he replied with, "Just a friend."
Troy's smile never faded. He was never bothered with Jordan's stories, until he decided to disobey Troy's orders to stay somewhere safe, because deep down, he could tell that Jordan was a good person deep down. He just needed to learn from his mistakes.
Because only you have the capacity to change yourself, no one else.

Note: I never understood why Troy called Jake by name in front of a civilian while morphed. That, sir, is dangerous. Also, Troy's parents are not actually like that. It's called a nightmare for a reason. And I changed the "Dino Zord" to the "Tyranno Zord", because "Dino" is an umbrella term, while "Tyranno" is more specific.
