A/N: Here is the next chapter of my Megaforce rewrite, which I've dubbed "Starforce". I hope you enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own Power Rangers Megaforce/Starforce or Tensou Sentai Goseiger in any way. I just own most of the plot and the characters and things you don't recognize from the original version.
Note: Behold, one of my favorite Goseiger episodes. I really wish they adapted this episode in Megaforce. It's the perfect Gia focus.
Again, bring tissues. This chapter might be emotional.

Power Rangers: Megaforce REDO – dubbed Starforce
Season 1, Episode 10: Spark of Hope
Moran Household, Coin Lane, Harwood County, Oregon
October 8, 2015
Gia didn't need her parents to wake her up that morning. To be honest, she could barely sleep.
Today was the day that they were all looking forward to, but at the same time, also dreading.
"I don't want to go," Lily was saying, as the four sat down for breakfast (or three, rather, since Lily wasn't allowed to eat anything due to the anesthesia she would be put under).
"But sweetie," Mrs. Moran said, "you have to. If you don't, you'll never get better."
"But I'm scared," Lily quietly replied. "What if I never wake up? What if my new lungs don't like me? What if everything that can go wrong does?"
"Don't worry about anything," Mr. Moran gently told her. "Just trust the doctors, because they know what they're doing. They've done this before."
Gia, their dad, and their mom couldn't deny that Lily's fears were justified, since they were very real threats, but those concerns were never meant for a nine-year-old child. They were adult fears.
"I'll tell you what," Gia spoke up, after taking a drink of her orange juice, "I have a surprise for you, Lils. It's something I've been working really hard on for the past few months."
Lily immediately smiled, "Is it my favorite dance?"
Gia didn't admit that Lily had guessed right (but she did), only smiling, "We'll see. You have to get through your surgery to find out."
Lily was quiet, but her smile never faded. She nodded, "Okay. You promise?" The African-American little girl held out her pinkie, and Gia shook the girl's pinkie finger with her own.
"I promise."
Mr. and Mrs. Moran both smiled at this. At first, they only took Gia in because of the foster care system, but they soon noticed that Gia and Lily got along very well. When they told Lily about the foster care system, Lily started crying, not wanting Gia to move away to another family.
Granted, she was six at the time, but somehow, her thought about Gia not needing another family when she already had one with the Morans really stuck with the three older people Lily lived with.
So they offered to adopt Gia, and Gia could barely hold back her tears. She only nodded, her voice gone due to the sudden surge of emotions.
And now, they were one big happy family, and none of them wanted that to change.

The Land Below
Creepox walked into the main room to see a new face standing there. He walked up to Malkor, "Who's this?"
"Shockada, our new field commander," Malkor replied.
"Hello! It's nice to meet you!" Shockada bowed.
"Ouch, my ears," Creepox said.
"Indeed," Malkor replied, "but I can't stand those Rangers and their constant interference. This time, I will be guiding him directly, so he can finally put an end to them and their pathetic realm." He held his hand out, "Now, go, Shockada!"
"Roger that!" Shockada shouted before leaving.
Neither Creepox nor Vrak could deny that Admiral Malkor was thoroughly pissed now.
Yep. Those Rangers were toast now.

General Hospital, Harwood County, Oregon
Gia was at the hospital all day, and she had brought along her school books in order to help get her mind off of worrying about Lily all the time.
She had school today, because it was Thursday, but she had permission to be here. Her parents had called the school yesterday and said that it was a family emergency, so yesterday, Gia had received a note that excused her from all classes today. Gia herself had also called Noah and asked him to take notes for her, due to him being the only Ranger that she had every class with (as well as the only Ranger she could trust in that department).
She was grateful when he agreed and didn't ask any questions, only wishing her and her family luck with this stress-filled day.
She was in the waiting room now, since it was nearly time for the surgery. It was rather empty, save for a couple of random people that she didn't know, but it was also quiet, which meant Gia could try and focus on her school work.
Keyword: Try.
Because she instead found herself quickly becoming lost in her own thoughts, which she soon discovered were filled with doubt and self-depreciation.
"Hey, Gia," came a familiar voice that snapped her out of her reverie.
She turned to see Emma, Troy, Jake, and Noah having entered the room. They were walking towards her now, and she breathed a sigh of relief. She hated those dark thoughts she often had.
"Hey, guys," she quietly replied. "I didn't realize school was out already. I wasn't paying attention to the clock at all."
"Really?" Jake asked. "It was pretty long and boring for us."
Gia smiled, as the four sat down next to and around her. Noah pulled out a binder (all neat and clearly organized) and gave it to her, "Here you go. All of today's notes. They're classified by subject."
"Thanks, Noah," Gia told him. "This means a lot."
"You're welcome," Noah replied. "Now, we're even."
"How's Lily doing?" Troy asked her, as he and Emma sat on either side of her.
"They're prepping her right now," Gia explained, grateful for the reprieve the others and the notes gave her. She was tired of being worried. At least, now, she didn't have to suffer alone, in silence.
Noah could give her facts that supported the surgery going well.
Jake could give her jokes that she could laugh at.
Troy and Emma could both give her a shoulder to lean, or cry (though that seemed unlikely), on.
She was glad that they had shown up to give her their support.
And leave it to Emma to notice the emotions Gia was trying to hide, "How are you doing, Gia?"
At first, she was surprised that someone had noticed her trying to keep it together. But honestly, she should have expected it. Just as Noah had the strongest mind, Troy and Emma both had the strongest hearts, and thus were the smartest when it came to emotional stuff.
Like Jake, Gia was only strong physically. Emotional maturity was never her thing (and forcing yourself to be stoic was never smart), and she had to work extra hard to get those perfect grades.
But all three came together and established a trifecta that needed to stay together to work properly. And lately, this routine of hers had become less of an annoying chore and more of a regular part of her daily life.
Besides, Emma knew what it was like to have to wait for a loved one to come out of surgery. Sarah Goodall probably had to have lots of them while she was trying to work through her cancer.
She decided to be honest, "Trying to hold it together."
Troy wisely chose to change the subject, "Tell us more about your sister."
Gia immediately smiled. Lily never failed to bring a smile to her face. She decided to start at the end, "Lily's lung problems started occuring a few months ago. It seemed like nothing at first, but it got worse as time went on. Now, here she is, about to have a surgery to replace her lungs."
Emma leaned in, her head resting in her hands, and her elbows resting on the sidebar that seperated her seat from Gia's, "How did you two first meet?"
"About three years ago, when the foster system moved me to her parents' house," Gia replied. "I had decided to face this family like the ones before, with stoicism but good behavior. That was my system, but this time, it was immediately uprooted by Lily, when I noticed that she was having issues with her cheerleading routine. When I helped her perfect it, we quickly became friends."
"I can't get it right," Lily had said. "My feet aren't fast enough."
"I can show you," Gia had offered. "First, we'll do it slowly, before we eventually move up to the correct speed. Don't think of it as a routine. Think of it more as a dance."
"Is that what it is?" Lily asked.
"Yeah, that's what you're basically doing," Gia replied. "Is cheerleading what you like doing?"
"No," Lily confessed. "I like to dance."
Gia was quiet before she admitted, "So do I."
Gia continued, "This morning, I promised to perform it for her if she makes it through her surgery."
"Aww," Emma immediately said, as the guys simply smiled.
"I only told her that because she was scared," Gia confessed. "You know, to give her something to live for. But I always keep my promises."
Emma started to hug her, and she whispered, "Don't cry, Gia."
To be honest, she hadn't realize she had started to tear up until Emma pointed it out. Normally, she found herself hyper aware of who was around, so she could ensure she was only crying when by herself. Forgetting the other Rangers were there really surprised her.
Gia wiped those tears away, noting that hadn't fallen yet. They had only pooled up. "Don't worry. I'm not planning to."
Jake, of all people, gently offered, "I'd really like to see that dance."
"Me too," Emma quickly added.
"If you guys stick around long enough, we'll see," Gia replied.
As the others chuckled, a voice came from their Morphers, "I'd like to see it too!" It was Tensou. "I really wish my new body could cry..."
Gia smiled, "Keep it together, Tensou."
Just then, an explosion sounded in the distance, and Tensou was immediately frantic on the other end, "Warstar attack very near your position!"
The five Rangers stood up and raced out of the lobby.

City Square, Harwood County, Oregon
The innocent civilians began to run away when the monster, Shockada, managed to lift up a car and throw it several hundred feet away from him.
"I must absorb your power!" Shockada shouted, before proceeding to do just that. He soaked up all nearby electricity, including some from a nearby eletrical billboard. Once he was done, he yelled, "Absorption complete! Now for the destruction!"
He then used his newly amassed energy to throw an electricity ball at a nearby car, destroying it.
"Not so fast!" came the Red Ranger's voice, and Shockada turned to him (finding him fully morphed) as Troy kicked his chest, sending him to the ground.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Gia demanded.
"You won't get away with this!" Troy said, as Shockada got to his feet.
"Yes, I will!" Shockada yelled. "Spirits!"
Spirits immediately arrived on the field, and the Rangers placed their Headder Cards into their Morphers. They first used their Blasters to shoot down the Spirits charging at them before then summoning their gear, "Star Headders: Shine Down!"
"Summon Star Headders!"
The Rangers then placed the Headders on their Blasters, and the fight began, the Rangers dodging the Spirits before shooting them down.
Once the spirits were all gone, the Rangers gathered in front of Shockada.
"How dare you?!" Shockada demanded. "Shock Attack!" He then sent electricity through the ground, which immediately jumped up and shocked the five Rangers.
"I'm going numb!" Emma mumbled, as she clutched her head.
"Don't give in!" Noah warned the others. "He wants to overload our systems!"
"Out of energy!" Shockada said, as the lights on his chest went off.
Meanwhile, the Rangers hit the ground out of sheer exhaustion. The lightning was gone, but it had hurt. A lot.
But they looked up in time to see Shockada yell, "Repeat the process!" and eletricity absorb back into him.
"Did you guys see that?" Gia asked.
"Yeah," Troy answered. "Everyone, aim for his chest!"
They all got up as they fired their Blasters at Shockada, and it worked. The shots had completely destroyed the lights on his chest.
"Piece of cake!" Jake said.
But then, dark clouds formed above them, and out of them came gold lightning. It directly hit Shockada, but it healed him, since the lights were repaired, and he was able to get back to his feet like nothing had happened.
"I am revived!" Shockada yelled.
Emma gasped in shock, "No way! He's healed just like that?!"
"What was that?" Noah asked, looking at the sky where the dark clouds were moments ago.
"Shockada," came a disturbing voice, "I will pick you up no matter how many times you fall. The Rangers are a threat!"
Shockada bowed and said, "Thank you, Admiral!"
"'Admiral'?" Troy asked. "Could that be...the Warstar's leader?"
"Absorbing more energy!" Shockada yelled before doing just that, this time stealing electricity from the entire city, not just the current block he was in. Once he was done, he yelled, "Destruction time!"
The Rangers were unable to prepare themselves, as he used super speed to zip past them multiple times, hitting them every time he did.
By the time he was done, the Rangers were the ones on the ground.
"You Rangers are weak!" Shockada said, before forming energy balls in his hand and throwing them at the Rangers as they were starting to rise again.
The balls hit them dead on, sending them all flying.
"Victory!" the monster yelled. "My job is complete!" He then retreated, leaving behind a City Square in rubble and the Rangers un-morphed and injured.
"He's going to keep stealing electricity from us," Noah said, as they slowly got back to their feet. "We need to stop him before he throws the entire planet into darkness."
Gia suddenly gasped, "Oh no! Lily!"
The other four could only watch as she raced over to where the hospital was.

As Gia ran, Tensou informed them all, "The destruction has been spread to the entire city now. Gosei and I can't stop it. It's all up to you five."
"We're trying our best, Tensou," Troy replied over the Morphers. "Just focus on tracking him down."
"Right!"
And that was the end of that, at least as far as Gia knew. She arrived back in the lobby where her parents were waiting.
"Gia!" Mrs. Moran immediately wrapped her in a hug. "You're alright!"
"We heard about the attack downtown," Mr. Moran explained, "and were afraid you had gotten caught up in it while you were with your friends."
"Don't worry, I'm fine," Gia replied. "We're all fine. Are you guys okay? Apparently, that monster is knocking out the entire power grid."
"We're fine," Mr. Moran replied. "Lily's in surgery now, and if there was any bad news, they would have said so by now."
"The power was knocked out for a few seconds," Mrs. Moran revealed, "but fortunately, the backup generator kicked in."
Gia gave a heavy sigh of relief. As long as the power stayed on during the surgery, then there was no doubt that Lily would make it.
But they spoke too soon.
In that moment, all the lights in the hospital began to go out, including those in the operation room.
"No!" Mr. Moran cried, and he and his wife immediately ran as close as they could to the doors of the surgery room. Gia stayed behind, and it was a good thing she did.
"I found him!" Tensou suddenly called over her Morpher. "He never moved away from City Square!"
"I knew it," Gia replied. "Given the way he absorbs electricity, he had to still be in the city somewhere."
"We'll meet you there, Gia," Troy said.
"Right!" Gia put her Morpher and ran up to her parents. She gently told them, "I have to run an errand real quick, and yes, it's very important."
"Go, dear," Mrs. Moran replied with an encouraging smile. "We'll hold down the fort here."
Gia returned that smile with a determined one of her own. She nodded and turning around and running out of the lobby once again.

Shockada was stopped in his tracks once again by a Ranger's voice, "Stop right there!"
He turned around to see the Rangers, all un-morphed, "No way! You survived?!"
"There's no way you'll get away with this!" Gia said, before leading the morph. "It's Morphin' Time!"
"Starforce, Shine Down!"
Troy began the rollcall, "Fury of the Dragon, Starforce Red!"
"Flames of the Phoenix, Starforce Pink!"
"Venom of the Snake, Starforce Black!"
"Claw of the Tiger, Starforce Yellow!"
"Bite of the Shark, Starforce Blue!"
"Earth's Defenders, Never Surrender!" Gia said.
All five announced, "Power Rangers: Starforce!"
Once they were done, Gia told Shockada, "We're going to cut you off at the source!"
Shockada only replied with, "Spirits!" And Spirits then appeared in front of and around him. "Charge!"
The Spirits charged forward, as did the Rangers.
Gia had told them about the current situation with Lily. At least one life was a stake, so they could not mess this up. It was also due to this that they were all way more energized than usual, and this energy was something this monster could never absorb.
The need to save someone was one of humanity's greatest sources of power.
Gia was fine until the Spirits she was fighting caught her off-guard. She was blocking two, before a third hit her in the stomach, causing her to double over in pain.
As the two forced her back to her feet, Gia immediately saw Jake quickly coming to her aid, as he forced them all away from her.
Once the Spirits were all down, he turned to her and asked, "You okay?"
"Yep! Thanks!" Gia had her Blaster in her hand, but she turned Jake around and grabbed his Blaster as well. "Sorry, but I need this!"
"Hey, Gia!" Jake called out, only to be stopped by more Spirits blocking his path. But he was more than happy to take those down with just his fists.
As long as Gia survived for her sister.
Gia promptly used both Blasters to shoot down the rest of the Spirits, at various multiple angles, including one from the ground at one point.
Once the Spirits were all gone, she bumped the two Blasters together before tossing one back to the Ranger she took it from, "Thanks, Jake!"
He caught it before asking, "What's your plan?"
"I thought I told you already!" Gia said, breifly looking back at him before turning back to face Shockada, "I'm taking back our electricity and saving Lily! But to do that, I first need to pound his face into a sobbing mess!"
"I'd to see you try, Yellow Ranger!" Shockada said before throwing more energy balls at her.
But she dodged every single one, before jumping up and landing a solid kick to his chest.
When she landed, the others quickly joined her as she told the monster, "Earth belongs to the humans, Shockada! So the people you answer to is us!"
"How futile!" suddenly came the same voice from earlier.
"That voice!" Troy said. "It's the same one from before."
The dark clouds appeared again, this time showing the face of Admiral Malkor, "Hello, Ranger pests. I am the great Admiral Malkor, the leader of the Warstar faction."
"So you're our primary target?" Noah asked.
"Precisely," Malkor said. "Though I take note of your choice of words. You Rangers are the targets here, not me. So give up. There is no hope for you."
"What was that?" Jake asked.
Malkor ignored him, "Shockada, continue with your mission."
The Rangers could only watch as Malkor shot more gold lightning at Shockada, empowering him even more.
"You humans are naive," were Malkor's final words to the Rangers. "This realm and all life that resides within it belong to me."
The clouds disappeared, leaving clear skies, and the Rangers immediately turned back to Shockada, who was charging up.
"Now, you Rangers are toast!" Shockada said, and the Rangers couldn't avoid his bowling attack.

Tensou couldn't just stand by anymore. He had to help. He was currently on his way to the hospital.
He couldn't let Gia's sister's surgery fail, and at this rate, it was going too.
"What do we do?" he heard Gia ask after the Rangers took another hit. It wasn't to anyone in particular, but due to him being linked directly to the comm system, Tensou heard it.
"Everything will be okay, Gia!" he cried, as he continued running to the hospital. "I have an idea!"
He heard Gia gasp, "You do?"
"Yes!" He then told her, "Use your new Sparquake Card and generate your own electricity! Then, I'll use the energy he can't absorb and send a concentrated burst right to the operating room Lily's in!"
"But how?" Gia asked. "He's just going to absorb it all! There's no way I can generate enough energy by myself!"
"Yes, you can!" Tensou protested, before suddenly tumbling down a hill.
"Tensou! You okay?!" she asked, concerned.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" he said, before getting back on his feet. "Just think about who you're fighting for! Who you want to save! Let your sympathetic energy be your amplifier! Then, use that energy to overload his system! Generate so much electricity that there's no way he can absorb it all!"

"'Who I want to save'..." Gia muttered, feeling herself get choked up. "Of course!" She then got to her feet, "Thank you, Tensou, for reminding me." She then turned to Shockada, but didn't address him, "Watch me, Lily. Your dance is going to save the world." She then placed the needed Power Card into her morpher, "Sparquake: Shine Down!"
"SPARK!"
She then turned around and started dancing, her Tiger Claw in hand.
The others watched as she did so, all of them hearing the same music as she was due to their connection powers and spirits. Emma was jumping up and down with excitement; she was actually getting to see it.
Shockada watched her in utter confusion, "What are you doing?!"
Her feet generated electricity, and sure enough, he began to absorb it, but she didn't stop dancing.
He charged at her, but she used her dance moves to dodge him by twirling once and then striking him with her Tiger Claw.
"I won't lose to you," Gia told him. "And I won't lose Lily either!"
Troy and Jake charged in with their respective weapons, their primary mission to keep Shockada away from Gia until Tensou had succeeded in restoring power to Lily's surgery.
And it was thanks to them that Gia was able to keep dancing.
Back at the hospital, Tensou had arrived in the courtyard and used his enhanced vision to locate the room he needed to restore power to. He drove his fists into the walls and held his stance there, before telling Gia over the comms, "I'm ready, Gia!"
Back at the Square, Gia gave Shockada a back kick to his chest, "Roger that!", before moving away and letting Noah and Emma step in with their respective weapons.
The combined shots sent him stumbling back, and Gia kept the pressure up by performing multiple high kicks in quick succession.
She lightly kicked her Tiger Claw, as the others joined her.
"Take this!" Shockada sent another energy ball their way.
Gia immediately ducked, as did the others, though at the last minute. But Gia never let go of the momentum.
As she kept dancing, she mentally vowed, 'Keep fighting, Lily, and I won't give up either!'
She felt the electricity she was generating suddenly surge, a clear indication that Shockada had reached his limits.
Back at the hospital, Tensou used the sudden surge of energy and his new robot body to send a burst of it directly to the room Lily was. Thanks to his enhanced vision, he could directly see the lights turn back on and the doctors start operating again. "You did it, Gia!" he told her over the comm. "The power's back on!"
Back at the Square, Gia blocked a couple of Shockada's strikes before jumping high in the air, joy filling her soul.
She slashed at the monster with her Tiger Claw as she landed, before hitting him two more times, keeping the beat of the song her heart was singing.
"You're history now, Shockada!" Gia said, as Jake and Troy took a stance in front of her.
"Gia!" Troy called back at her.
Gia nodded before running, lightning before produced her feet every time she took a step. She used Jake and Noah as a launching board, and hit Shockada with her Tiger Claw one more time, before jumping back at landing on Jake and Troy's strong thighs.
The dance was over, and Shockada was sparkling with energy, a clear sign that he was on his last legs.
"Overload!" he cried.
Gia jumped down, "And now for the grand finale. Land Brothers: Shine Down!"
The three Headders flew out of the Morpher before each of them landed in the hands over Troy, Emma, and Noah.
"Beetle Star: Set!" Troy said.
"Rhino Star: Set!" Noah said.
"Tyranno Star: Set!" Emma said.
"Snake Star: Set!" Jake said.
"Tiger Star: Set!" Gia said.
The five then pointed their powered-up Blasters directly at Shockada. "Land Brothers: Final Strike!"
And with that, the combined blast finally destroyed Shockada.
Jake leaned an elbow on Gia's shoulder, "Nice one, Gia."
Immediately the Zombats flew in and brought Shockada back, but giant size.
"Time for another beatdown!" Gia said, the five taking out their Power Cards.
"Mechazords, Shine Down!"
"Summon Zords!"
After the Rangers all leapt into their mechazords, Troy told his team, "Let's do this!" before holding up his copy of a certain Power Card.
"Zords Combine!"
"Summon Megazord!"
Jake and Gia connected first, forming the legs. Troy followed up, forming the torso. Noah and Emma were last with the arms. The head was formed last.
"Gosei Great Megazord! Ready!"
Shockada immediately charged at the Megazord. The Rangers tried their best to fight him, but every movement he made was causing tiny explosions all around them.
"You Rangers are idiots!" Shockada said. "Because I can even absorb energy from your own Megazord!"
He then demonstrated his ability to do just that, taking all the energy from all five Zords.
Explosions occured in the cockpit as the Megazord shut down and fell to its knees.
"What?" Gia asked. "Just like that, he wins?!"
"No way!" Troy replied. "We need to find another way!"
Tensou could only watch as Shockada kick the Megazord in its face.
"Stop that!" Tensou called out from the ground below.
Shockada turned to him, "Pest!" and send a bolt of lightning at him, sending Tensou to the ground. He then turned back to the Megazord and continued pounding on it.
"No way!" Tensou cried to himself. "This can't be how it ends! Why don't I have any more power to help directly?!"
He punched the ground, but from under his fist, a light shone and produced a blank Power Card. He picked it up, and it breifly flashed what it was supposed to be.
"Of course!" Tensou then stood up and called out, "Gia! Place this in your Morpher!"
He threw the Card at the Megazord, and within the cockpit, Gia caught it perfectly, before looking at it. It flashed and revealed itself.
"'Hyper Change Headder'?" Gia read the Card.
Suddenly, Tensou began flashing, before he grew to the size of the Megazord.
"My wish has been granted!" Tensou realized. "I now have the power to help directly!" The Rangers watched as he continued, "End of the line, Shockada!"
"Tensou!" Gia said, before placing the Card into her Morpher. "Hyper Headder: Shine Down!"
"Summon Hyper Headder!"
The new Headder hit Shockada before landing in Tensou's hands. Tensou then announced, "Activate Hyper Data Megazord!"
He gained gloves and new boots, and the Headder became his new face.
Tensou moved the two buildings he was between, before standing up.
"I don't know what's going on!" Shockada cried out, before Tensou began punching him, repeatedly.
The Rangers could only watch as Tensou charged through the lightning shot at him. Out from the smoke ran Tensou, his normal form, and he said, "You won't win!"
He punched Shockada a few more times, letting the monster become disoriented, before he transformed back into the Hyper Data Megazord.
"Finish him off, Tensou!" Gia cheered.
"Right!" Tensou said, before activating his finisher. Power Cards swirled all around him. "Data Dynamic Crush!"
All the Cards hit Shockada dead on, and destroyed him.
The five Rangers cheered for him as he celebrated his first victory.

An angry Malkor struck down a panel with his sword.

"Thanks for your help, Tensou," Gia said over the Morpher, as she and the other Rangers were sitting in the waiting room, waiting for more news on Lily. Tensou had to head back to the base to avoid any unwanted suspicion or attention.
"Yeah, you were great," Emma added, with a smile.
"No problem," Tensou said, and if he didn't have a robotic body, he'd been trying not to blush right now. "I just hope Lily's surgery went well."
"They should be done by now," Gia commented. "They let Mom and Dad in ten minutes ago."
Jake turned to Gia, "That was a pretty cool dance, by the way."
"Thanks," Gia smiled.
"Yeah, it was awesome!" Emma said. "I really like the song."
Gia giggled, "It's Lily's favorite song, actually."
Just then, Mrs. Moran came through the doors, and said, "Gia?" The five turned to her. The woman was smiling and she beckoned her adopted daughter over with her finger, "Come on in." Gia got up, and Mrs. Moran addressed the other four, "You guys can come too."
Together, the five followed Mrs. Moran to Lily's room, where the girl was sitting up in her bed, smiling.
As soon as she laid eyes on the girl, Gia immediately wrapped her sister in a bear hug, carefully minding the I.V.
The others heard the doctor say, "The road to recovery will be a little long, but it's completely open. The surgery was a success, and Lily's new lungs seem to be enjoying their new home just fine."
Lily broke the hug and said, "Gia, you said you'd show me something if I made it through the surgery. Well, I made it, and now it's your turn to uphold your end of the pinkie promise."
Gia giggled, before pulling her phone out of her pocket and handing it over to Emma, "You know which song to play."
Emma promptly found the said song and pressed the play button.
And once again, Gia started dancing to the music.

Note: When Noah tells Gia "now we're even", remember the previous chapter when Gia took notes for Noah, because he was distracted all day.
As for the song that plays during the dance, just think of something really empowering, yet kid friendly. Maybe even an English version of the song that plays in Goseiger's episode.
