Power Rangers: Samurai REDO
Season 1, Episode 13: Nobody in Particular

Jayden, Kevin, and Mike all woke up to the sounds of someone sparring. Choosing to skip over breakfast (after getting dressed), the three went to the source of the sounds (the indoor dojo) and were mildly surprised to see Antonio and Emily duking it out with hand-to-hand combat (Emily in her training outfit and Antonio in workout clothes).
Jayden opted to watch them (instead of interrupting them), and Mike and Kevin shrugged at each other before following Jayden's example.
Emily dodged a punch Antonio aimed at her. Antonio had asked her if he could train with her today (as he wanted to get strong enough to help the Rangers fight), and she accepted. So now the two were sparring.
Antonio flipped Emily over him, making her land on her back. But she just lay there, not making any movement to get up. Worried about her, he went over to her, kneeling next to her and placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Em, are you okay?"
Emily opened her eyes, shot a bubbly smile, and grabbed him by the shoulders and placed her foot on his stomach, flipping him over her and onto his back.
She sat up, "Point."
"Wow," was all Antonio said.
Emily giggled before offering him her hand. He took it, and she helped him back up on his feet.
"Nice job, both of you," Jayden praised them, alerting the two to his, Mike's, and Kevin's presence.
"Thank you," Emily said, taking her water bottle from Mike as he held it out.
"What did I do wrong?" Antonio asked. "Was it my stance? Or the force behind my blows?"
"No," Jayden shook his head. "You just underestimated Emily."
Antonio was confused by this, so Mike reiterated, "Tactics."
"Oh."
Kevin then changed the subject, "Where's Mia?"
"At the daycare," Antonio replied. "She's substituting for a friend that got sick."
"Jayden, Emily," Ji called as he entered the room. "It's your turn to get the groceries this week."
"Okay," Emily said, heading to her room, as Ji handed Jayden the grocery list. "Just let me get changed first."

Dayu played her Harmonium while a group of Furry Warts mimicked her tune.
"Quiet!" Master Xandred yelled, as he threw his medicine bowl at the Furry Warts.
"Careful, Master," Octoroo gently warned. "Being mad won't cure your headache."
"It's not the medicine! It's those Rangers," Xandred said, as he picked up his sword. "If only I could cross over into the human world like before. It's all their fault!" He slammed his sword into the ground, causing the entire ship to shake and tremble.
"We'll be fine," Dayu spoke up. "The Rangers haven't mastered their Sealing Symbol yet, nor do they have their Gold Ranger. Would we be still standing here if they did?"
"Exactly," Octoroo agreed. "All we have to do is overflow the Sanzu River first. Then those Rangers will be finished. But I wouldn't alert the other Nighlock about the Seal yet. There are certainly some strange ones out there."
"Are you saying there are traitors? Against me? Master Xandred?!"
"Not at all," Dayu quickly reassured him. "But you do have some menacing folks under your command." She went back to play her Harmonium again.
"And we can use them all, including Deker," Octoroo said. "Let's just take our time with the Rangers and continue raising the Sanzu River like before."
Master Xandred lay back down, as Dayu and Octoroo went back to their original spots.
"Master Xandred," came a voice not belonging to any of the three on the ship already. "Permission to come aboard?"
"Who in the–?!" Octoroo cut Xandred off.
"Action Commander Bubbler," Octoroo said. "I summoned him. Permission granted!"
A Nighlock with blue hands and bubble fingers lifted on the ship to get on board the ship.

The air was off today. As the Wind Samurai, Mia could feel a bad aura around them. She was expecting (and hoping) today would be a regular old day (though unlikely, seeing as how she was a Ranger now).
Mia was outside on the playground with the kids under her and Skyla's care. It was a beautiful day, so there was no sense in wasting it by staying inside.
Skyla's Alaskan Husky, named Balto, could tell something off too. Well, he was a dog, so that was a given. But Mia felt better knowing that she wasn't the only one who could tell that something was wrong (and it was probably why he demanded that Skyla take him with her to work today).
Skyla Barnes (hers and Kevin's best friend since third grade) went up to her, and in a low voice, said, "I think this place is haunted, Mia."
"'Haunted' how?" Mia asked her mixed race friend.
"I just saw three kids vanish into thin air," Skyla replied. "And other kids are worried and upset that they're parents aren't here yet when they usually are here by now."
"They could just be busy," Mia said, trying to be logical, but she couldn't ignore the bad feeling she had. "That doesn't prove anything."
A flash of red appeared right in front of them. Skyla and Mia both watched a little girl named Starla that was on the swings just now suddenly disappear.
The two ladies looked over at each other, both of their faced struck with the exact same level of shock (high) at them seeing something unusual happen.
"Oh my god, I can't believe that just happened," Skyla muttered, as Mia shook off her surprise and looked around.
Her line of sight led her to the top of a building, where a Nighlock stood, laughing in glee.
"Skyla, take all the kids inside, and don't go anywhere, until I say so."
Skyla (thankfully) did not ask any questions, and as she ushered the kids inside, Mia picked up her Samuraizer and called the first person that came to mind: "Jayden, we have a problem."

Bubbler laughed in glee before being forced off his perch by a strong, pink-colored wind.
"That's far enough, Nighlock," there stood the Pink Ranger, fully morphed, her Sky Fan in hand.
"Hello, Pink Ranger," Bubbler said as he got to his feet. "Too bad there's nothing you can do to stop my plan!"
"Challenge accepted!" Mia said, getting into a fighting stance. "How dare you make kids cry!"
"How dare I?" Bubbler repeated. "Because tears of abandoned kids are the best way to make the Sanzu River rise!" Bubbler answered, doing a weird, little dance as he did.
Mia traded her Sky Fan for her Spin Sword before running towards Bubbler. Mia tried to hit him three times, but failed, and the fourth attempt resulted in him pushing her to make her lose her balance, before hitting her in the face, making her fall to the ground.
"You're finished, Ranger," Bubbler laughed, before shooting a blue beam from his mouth. Mia closed her eyes, waiting for the blast to hit her.
But it didn't.
The Red and Yellow Rangers stood in front of her, Fire Smasher and Earth Slicer in hand, having blocked the attack for her.
"Jayden! Emily!" Mia was happy that her teammates made it in time. (If they hadn't, she'd be a goner.)
"Hey, Mia," Emily said, turning to face the elder female. "Sorry we're late."
Mike and Kevin jumped down from the ledge above, landing behind Bubbler, but the Nighlock easily blocked their Spin Swords with his weapon. Kevin and Mike were thrown over Bubbler's head, allowing all five Rangers to be reunited. Mike and Kevin charged again.
"Annoying pests!" Bubbler exclaimed, hitting Kevin and Mike with his weapon, knocking the two to the ground.
"Time for you Rangers to bite the dust!" Bubbler reached down and retrieved two red bubble-like balls from his body. He dangled them for a bit, as he said, "In loving memory, here lie the forgotten Blue and Green Rangers."
He threw them at the two mentioned Rangers, and a red bubble stuck on each of their backs.
The Rangers got into a fighting stance, as Mike shouted, "What do you mean?!"
All of a sudden, the red bubbles on Mike and Kevin's backs erupted into red-colored portals, engulfing the two before shrinking until the portals were gone.
But as soon as the portals were gone, where Mike and Kevin once stood, there was no one.
"Huh?!"
"What did you do to them?!" Jayden asked.
"Do to who?" Bubbler asked, as if he was playing innocent.
"To Green and Blue!" Jayden answered.
"Oh, that's right!" Bubbler smacked his forehead. "I forgot. You Rangers are protected by the Power within you, and those around you are given some protection as well. That's how the Pink Ranger must've realized that something was wrong with her kids. Fine. I'll explain. Once someone is hit with one of my bubbles, they disappear. If you guys weren't Rangers, your memory of your two friends would've been completely erased from your mind. And now that you know the truth, Rangers, you are doomed to join them!"
Bubbler charged at Jayden, striking him down, before turning on Emily. Once the Yellow Ranger was down as well, Mia was next in line, and Bubbler used his weapon to hit Mia's side.
Overcome with pain, Mia tumbled to the ground, clutching her injured side in pain. Emily was immediately at her side, while Jayden went straight for the Nighlock.
After a brief struggle, Jayden managed to wound him. But something didn't feel right. Jayden glanced down, and sure enough, his suspicions were right.
Right there, on his stomach, was a red bubble.
Emily and Mia watched in horror as Jayden disappeared into a red portal right in front of them.
"Sorry, ladies," Bubbler said. "We'll pick this up again later. I'm out of water."
Emily and Mia were the only ones still standing as Bubbler escaped through a gap.
"What do we do now?" Emily asked Mia.
"Antonio might have an idea," Mia suggested, and Emily nodded, agreeing but not saying a word out of sheer anxiety.

"He sent them to an alternate dimension," Antonio revealed, as he went over the Gap Sensor data on his tablet.
"What do you mean?" Mia asked, as Emily bandaged her side.
"According to the Gap Sensor data," Antonio began his explanation, "his bubbles technically represent him 'exiling' people he doesn't like or agree with, which is why the memories people have of them are erased. The Nighlock is right about the Power within you guys acting as a barrier for you and the people surrounding you, though. You're lucky."
"So, I protected those kids, and Skyla," Mia muttered, and Antonio nodded in confirmation.
Ji spoke up after hanging up his Samuraizer, "I've warned everyone that remains to stay inside until the Rangers defeat the Nighlock. Also, I must warn you, there's no guarantee that defeating Bubbler will allow the exiled to return."
"That's why," Antonio revealed, holding his tablet up to show them, "I've created the schematics for a device that will open a portal to Bubbler's dimension. It will take a while to build, but I can do it. But, according to the Gap Sensor, the portal can only be opened while Bubbler is alive and in the human world. If he leaves for the Sanzu River or is defeated before I'm done freeing everyone there, the portal will close, and the device will possibly be destroyed. So, Mia, Emily, if I tell you two to stall for time..."
"Don't worry about us," Emily said, seemingly taking charge like she always did whenever Jayden was unable to. "Just focus on the device, Antonio. Ji, help him any way you can. Give me status updates every hour on the hour." Ji and Antonio both nodded. Emily turned to Mia, "Mia, what do you say we head back and keep an eye on those kids you were watching?"
"I'd love to, Em. Thank you," Mia replied, with a grateful smile on her face.
"No problem," Emily replied, before reaching into her shorts pocket and pulling out her wallet, checking the amount of money she had in there. "Okay, I should have enough."
"Enough for what?" Antonio asked.
"To buy the kids some food," Emily revealed. "I'm going to the Cool Bean to try and pick up some snacks."
"Okay," Mia agreed. "I'll go over to the daycare and give Skyla a break. Meet me at Sunnybright in thirty minutes, Em."
Emily nodded and the two girls went their separate ways.

Skyla's dog Balto was a magnet for the kids, as his presence made them quickly forget their tears. Any stray kids who were crying (because no one forgot about their families for one second) were quickly cheered up by Skyla herself, and eventually Mia, who showed up ten minutes into the thirty minute schedule she and Emily had set up.
Three minutes before the deadline, Emily and Angela Cruz (the well-known, well-liked barista from the Cool Bean Cafe) had arrived with baked goods and milk (both regular and soy-based), and a lot of it. Mia asked where Emily got the money for all of this, and Angela replied that she and Emily had paid for it together.
It was late afternoon now, and they were having dinner with all these baked treats (it wasn't much, but it was what they had), and Emily noticed Mia's worry to the point of (what seemed like) depression. So the Yellow Ranger took the Pink to the side.
"You okay, Mia?"
"I'm worried," she replied, and before Emily could ask what she was worried about, Mia explained, "All of these kids come from low-income families. Most of these kids come from single parents, and the rest don't have their biological parents with them. I grew up with all of these kids. I'm essentially their nanny. If we don't free the exiled, most, if not all, of these kids will become orphans."
"We'll win," Emily replied with a gentle, calming smile. "I have faith in Antonio. He'll get the job done."
"You're right, Em," Mia agreed. "For now, just focus on protecting the kids." Emily nodded, before letting Mia sit back down with her kids.
Emily pulled out her Samuraizer when she felt a buzz come from it. Antonio was calling with his hourly update. "Hello?" She quickly answered.
"I've just finished building the device," came Antonio's voice. "I just need to put the finishing touches on it, and figure out how freeing all the exiled works, because–"
"–We don't know, since it's Bubbler's domain," Emily finished.
"Yeah."
"Well, keep on it," Emily replied. "I'd suggest having a flexible plan that can be stretched any way."
"That's what I was thinking too," Antonio answered. "I'm thinking about calling the other three for help once I get the portal open."
"Good," Emily said. "Hopefully, it's not that difficult to figure out, but I trust you will."
"I will," Antonio said, obviously about to hang up. "Listen, Ji's calling me to eat some food. I have to go. But, Em, you make a great leader."
"Thanks, Antonio," Emily smiled, before remembering why she was forced to step up in the first place, "but Jayden's the Red Ranger, not me."
"Em, I never said the leader had to be the Red Ranger," Antonio made a good point. "Remember that. I'll see you tomorrow. Sweet dreams."
"You too." Emily hung up, pausing to ponder over Antonio's last words to her, before smiling and opting to rejoin the group.
Emily paused, though, once she felt an emotion that was being felt collectively by the entire city in that moment. She smiled once she pinpointed what it was:
Hope.
People were probably scared at this situation, but they all had hope that the Rangers would fix everything.
And there was no way she, Mia, or Antonio would let them down.

"What's this?!" Octoroo exclaimed, measuring the water level with his measuring stick. "The water level was rising, but now it seems to be going back down!"
"WHAT?!" Bubbler demanded. All those people were crying when he left this morning! What happened after he left?!

Mia and Emily had taken turns with the nightwatch. Emily had gotten the first half (up until midnight), and Mia had taken the second half (from midnight until now).
Emily stirred when she felt her Samuraizer go off in her hand. Antonio was calling her. She had to pick up. Rather reluctantly, Emily answered, Mia watching her (having recognized Emily's ringtone), "Hello?"
"Morning, Em," it was Antonio, like she suspected. "I'd love to chat, but Bubbler is back and he's heading straight to your location."
Emily immediately sat up. "You sure?"
"The Gap Sensor doesn't lie."
"Okay, go ahead and fire up your device. Mia and I will go stall for time."
"Gotcha. Good luck."
"You too," Emily replied before hanging up. She turned to Mia, who was telling Skyla to put the building on lockdown once she and Emily left.
"Where are you going?" A little boy tugged on Mia's sleeve.
"To run an errand," Mia gently replied. "Don't worry. Emily and I will take care of everything. Just stay inside with Angela and Skyla. Okay?"
The boy nodded, letting Mia go.

Waterfront Warehouses, Pier 13, Panorama City, California
Mia and Emily found Bubbler by the Waterfront Warehouses. All the workers there had already evacuated, leaving the Rangers to do their job.
Bubbler spotted them right away. "So, you two are the ones who stopped all the tears I started!"
"We sure are!" Mia said. Both she and Emily were determined. They needed to buy Antonio enough time to get everyone out of the exiled world. It was time to dig in their heels and endure his attacks for as long as possible. "Emily!"
"Right here."
"Samuraizers! Go, Go, Samurai!" The duo morphed in a flash of pink and yellow.
"Samurai Wind, Power Ranger Pink!"
"Samurai Earth, Power Ranger Yellow!"
"Rangers Together, Samurai Forever!"
"My bubbles would be wasted on you, Rangers," Bubbler said, thoroughly pissed off at them for undoing all his hard work from yesterday, "so you two are dying right here, right now!"
Bubbler took out his weapon and charged at them. Mia and Emily did the same.
Mia easily dodged his first swing. Emily easily blocked the second. Mia joined Emily in blocking his third strike, and together, the duo easily knocked him back.
Quickly recovering from this sudden damage, Bubbler shot his blue beams at them, knocking them both down.
Emily easily stood back up, willing and able to take more punishment. Mia, on the other hand, was struggling to stand up straight. She immediately fell back to her knees.
"Mia!" Emily called, and was soon as her side. Mia was still obviously hurt from yesterday. She needed to be the one who stepped up and protected her. "Earth Slicer!" Emily threw her weapon at Bubbler, who merely hit it back with his own weapon, causing her own shuriken to hit her right in the throat.
"Emily!" Mia called. "I guess we can't do this alone, after all," she muttered. She gently grabbed Emily's arm, and began pulling her up.
Bubbler shot another blue beam at them, causing the already weakened Rangers to fall right back down.
"I knew you Rangers were too weak to take me on yourself!" Bubbler exclaimed in glee. He had gotten his payback.
"They're not alone!"c a voice familiar to Mia and Emily. The two glanced over at the source of the voice and found that it was Antonio's.
And behind him stood the three male Rangers. Healthy and ready to morph.
"Everyone you exiled, Bubbler," Antonio continued, "has been freed. Your solitary dimension is completely empty."
That's all Mia and Emily needed to hear. "Thanks, Antonio," Emily called. "Now, we can do our job."
All heads turned back to the two female Rangers, and Bubbler was surprised to see them standing back on their feet, with no evidence that they were suffering in pain (if they were, they had suddenly gotten very good at hiding it).
Which could only mean...
"Wait!" Bubbler cried out in sudden desperation, "you mean that you two were being willfully weak?!"
"Correct!" Mia confirmed, her voice filled with joy, the same kind she used when talking to kids. "All to buy Antonio enough time to get everyone out safely."
Antonio didn't know that (he thought they genuinely needed help). He let slip a little smile (their gesture was very comforting, and it reminded him of yesterday morning, when Emily faked being down to catch him off guard), as Mia and Emily raised their swords once more, ready to finally kick some Nighlock butt.
"You Rangers are going to pay!" Bubbler cried, sending out another blue fire ball at them, but Mia and Emily easily dodged the attack and somersaulting out of the way, "Havoc Mode: Engage!", morphing into Havoc Mode on the way.
With both Rangers on different sides of the battlefield, the two flip out their Samuraizers.
"Symbol Power: Wind!"
"Symbol Power: Mountain!"
"Put 'em together and you get..." The two combined their symbols into one, "Symbol Power: Whirlwind!"
Their combined power made a powerful tornado that Bubbler got swept up into, lifting him the air, him helpless to stop it or do anything. He was in the perfect position for the finishing blow.
"Say your prayers, Nighlock," Mia said, before jumping up into the air. Once above Bubbler, she spun her Pink Turtle Disk, "Turtle Disk!"
Emily did the same with her Yellow Ape Disk on the ground below, "Ape Disk!"
Emily jumped up while Mia let herself be lowered to the ground, the two girls' Spin Swords meeting halfway at the mid-point that was Bubbler himself, "Spin Swords: Girl Power Strike!"
Bubbler exploded in a fireball as Mia landed, turning away from the blaze and sheathing her Sword, Emily doing the same not too long after.
The two girls could hear the cheer of all the kids under Skyla and Angela's care, the sweet sound of happy kids that had been reunited with their parents or guardians.
The duo turned around to watch the blaze that had once been Bubbler, and Emily immediately cheered, "Yes! We did it!"
"We did," Mia agreed, the two bumping fists before Mia pulled Emily in for a hug. "Thanks, Em."
"You girls did great," came Jayden's calming voice, he and the other two guys now morphed.
Antonio had ushered everyone else off the field, knowing what was about to come (the Mega Battle).
"Thank you, Jay," Emily replied. "We couldn't have done it without Antonio, though."
"We know," Mike said. "That's why we're planning a secret 'thank you' dinner tonight for him."
"Good," Mia agreed. "He deserves it."
"Why couldn't you just leave me in peace?!" Bubbler's booming voice sounded as he grew giant thanks to his second life.
Mia and Emily unhooked their Zords from their belts. "Samuraizers!"
"Lion Folding Zord!"
"Dragon Folding Zord!"
"Turtle Folding Zord!"
"Bear Folding Zord!"
"Ape Folding Zord!"
"Ready! Zords Combine! Samurai Megazord, We Are United!"
The Rangers didn't get the chance to unsheath their Swords (Mia and Emily still in Havoc Mode), because as soon as the Megazord was ready, Bubbler shot some fireballs at them, leaving their shield to be only thing that could protect them. The force made them stumble back.
Bubbler dangled two more red bubbles in front of them, "It may take a while, but all five of you are going to exile together!" He threw them at the building behind them, which caused the bubbles to ricochete, making the two bubbles latching onto the Megazord.
And the Rangers immediately realized that the Megazord could not move. They were stuck.
Jayden immediately picked up his Samuraizer, "Antonio! How long do we have?"
"Five minutes at the least. The bigger the object, the more time it will take to ompletely disappear," Antonio answered. "Use the Samurai Battlewing to give you the edge here. Its super speed should let you dodge any of his bubbles."
"Roger that," Jayden said, hanging up.
"In that case, I have an idea," Kevin said.
"Go for it," Jayden said, he, Mike, and Kevin unsheathing their swords.
"Thanks!" Kevin said, before calling out, "Summon Swordfish Zord!"
"Summon Tiger Zord!" Jayden called
"Summon Beetle Zord!" Mike called.
"Zords Combine! Samurai Battlewing! We Are United!"
The Battlewing sent out a large burst of energy that forced Robtish back as it flew forward, before flying up.
"Time for us to get our payback!" Kevin said. "Samurai Artillery!"
"Huh?!" Jayden and Mike both look at him in sudden shock, but were helpless as the Battlewing latched itself and rested on Bubbler's back.
"What's this?! It's so heavy!" Bubbler complained.
"YES! We did it!" Kevin exclaimed, happy that his plan worked.
"Did what?" Jayden asked, not amused.
"We incapacitated him," Kevin answered, as if it was that simple. "That way, even if we're gone, he can't do any damage to the city!"
"You're thinking too far ahead!" Mike shouted in agitation. "Just attack from the sky!"
"Wha...?" Kevin was confused, until it hit him. "OH!" He gave himself a slap to the forehead, as down below, Antonio did the same, as did Mia in the Megazord cockpit.
"Kevin, you dumbass," Mia muttered.
"But he's vulnerable now!" Emily pointed out. Both girls looked at Bubbler, who was struggling to stay on his own two feet with the weight of the Battlewing bearing down on him.
"You're right," Mia said. "Good job, Em, for always seeing the best in every scenario."
"Thank you! Let's do it!" Emily said.
"You gotcha!" Mia said, as the two girls unsheathed their Swords, the Megazord doing the same, and held them out in front of them.
"Katana Power: Samurai Strike!" The duo announced, before spinning their Power Disks.
The two Rangers then brought their swords down in a downwards slash. The Megazord did the same, striking down Bubbler (the Battlewing got out of the way in time).
The portals that were starting to form around the Megazord disappeared as Bubbler finally met his end.
"Samurai Rangers, Victory is Ours!" Mia and Emily said, simultaneously.
Over the intercom, they heard Kevin start apologizing profusely for his screw-up. "I'm really, really sorry!"
"You're lucky the girls caught on, Kevin," they heard Antonio say.
"Yeah," they heard Mike agree. "And you call me the idiot?"
"Mike, seriously–!"
Jayden addressed the girls, his voice cutting over whatever Mike and Kevin were now arguing about. "Good job, ladies."
"Thanks, Jayden," Mia said.
"Does this mean we get ice cream?" Emily asked.
Jayden chuckled, before answering, "Of course, Em."
Mia turned to Emily, "Ice cream? Really?"
"What? Ice cream makes everything better!"
Mia laughed at Emily's response, as Kevin continued to apologize.

The four girls stayed at the daycare to make sure every kid was reunited with their parents or guardians.
With the victory on their minds (and especially the one who helped make it possible), Mia and Emily put their cooking talents to good use and made Antonio a barbeque buffet party.
"Seriously, you guys didn't have to do this for me," Antonio said, as all seven occupants of the Shiba House sat at the outdoor dining area that night.
"Don't sell yourself short, buddy," Mike replied, "you saved us. Not the other way around."
"Yeah, we wouldn't have won without you," Emily added.
Antonio smiled, especially when Jayden said, "You'd make a great Ranger, Antonio. Can you at least accept that?"
He paused, before replying, "Yeah. Thank you. Now, let's enjoy this fiesta!"
Laughter sounded all around them as the Rangers celebrated their victory.
