A/N: Here is the next chapter of my Dino Charge rewrite. Again, don't be alarmed if some chapters are like the ones in canon (save for a few changes). They will be more and more different down the line. In fact, this is technically when they'll start to change drastically.

Disclaimer: I do not own Power Rangers Dino Charge or Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. I just own most of the plot and the characters and things you don't recognize from the original versions.

"With their numbers dwindling, the remaining Rangers can't make any more mistakes. Easier said than done, because the real Prince of Zandar appears with a bone to pick with them for stealing his identity."

Power Rangers: Dino Charge REDO

The trio watched Fury fly off in the Ptera Zord.

"Did we win?" Koda asked.

"No," Tyler replied.

"But we survive," Koda pointed out, confused.

"Surviving and winning are two completely different things," Tyler explained. "That cat has more lives. He'll be back before we know it."

"In the meantime," Chase cut in, "let's hope that we gave Riley and Shelby enough time to save Callie."

Season 1, Episode 10: Break Out

Seaside Quarry, Amber Beach, California

June 12, 2017

Riley and Shelby, both fully morphed, stopped running and Shelby called Kendall over the Dino Comm, "We're here at the coordinates, Miss Morgan. But we don't know where to go from here."

"Perhaps there's a secret passage," Kendall offered. "Whatever you do, just hurry."

"Right," both Rangers replied, before Shelby hung up.

Just then, out of nowhere, came an unfamiliar voice, "I can tell you where to go!"

The two looked up at a nearby cliff, where a clue-colored monster stood, a monster they did not recognize. The monster pointed its club at them, and three blue energy blobs flew towards them.

Three blobs that looked like faces: anger, joy, and sorrow.

The faces flew around, attacking them and firing at them with laser beams.

The two were immediately engulfed in an explosion.

~B~R~E~A~K~~T~H~E~~C~H~A~I~N~S~~T~H~A~T~~D~I~V~I~D~E~~D~I~N~O~~C~H~A~R~G~E~~R~E~D~O~

Callie was unable to ignore the ever increasing pain in her head until she heard Fury stomp towards her section of the cave system she was being held in. It was rather hard to ignore him whenever he did that; his footsteps were loud.

She glanced up, guessing that he was either here to try another tactic in order to get her to tell him how to build the E-Tracer or to give her news on his current battle with the Rangers.

It was the latter, but what Fury had to say wasn't what made her sick. It was the fact that he had something to show for it.

Fury stomped in, in a way that told Callie that he was happy. "This'll knock you down a peg or two, human!" She just looked at him confused, before she noticed that he was holding something. "Your friends came to save you, but I guess something went wrong with their plan." Fury revealed what he was holding.

Riley and Shelby's Energems...

A Spikeball walked past the opening of the section right then (perfect timing for Fury), and Callie saw that he was holding the unconscious bodies of Riley and Shelby, both unmorphed and obviously beaten up a little.

It was brief, as the Spikeball carried them away to another section, but that one image was all it took. In that moment, so many thoughts came rushing to her head. The primary one was a clear product of her anxiety.

If Riley and Shelby had been defeated, then what about Tyler, Chase, and Koda?

What about Kendall? And Keeper?

Fury laughed, a hint of pride sprinkled in, and said, "I love the fear in your eyes, human! It's palpable! But I'm not ready to get the necessary information out of you yet! I still have five more Energems to claim!" He knelt in front of her, placed a finger under her chin, and forced her to look at him. His voice was quieter now, but just as demeaning and threatening, "Don't bother with any useless prayers for mercy. Your friends are as good as dead and those Energems are essentially now in the hands of Sledge. And when I show you the proof, like I did just now, then you'll break down and tell me all I need to know."

Fury then got up and left, laughing along the way.

Why did she tell Fury that the Energem he had was fake?! Why didn't she just keep her mouth shut?! Maybe then, Riley and Shelby would've actually suceeded!

But Fury had told her that only Riley and Shelby had been defeated. Tyler, Chase, and Koda were still out there, which was good news. So they were her only hope.

But that wasn't the only good news that Fury had told her. It was subtle, but he had mentioned that he still had five Energems left to claim. Tyler, Chase, and Koda's accounted for three, Robert had the fourth, so what was the fifth?

Wait...did they actually find the real Gold Energem while she was in here?

Whether they did or not, she had a feeling that they, at least, knew where to look. And she trusted them to know what they were doing, as long as that plan didn't involve her in some way.

Because, her mind unfortunately kept going back to that moment, to her revealing that the Energem Fury had snagged was a fake that she herself had created. She was afraid she had ruined the entire plan just from that alone.

She didn't get the time to wallow in her guilty, however, since her headache quickly took over once again, forcing her to focus on the physical pain instead.

The next morning, Sledge stood in the theater with Wrench, Poisandra, and Curio (the latter two of whom were sitting down), with Curio holding the remote. The four watched Fury's Megazord fight from yesterday on the large screen in front of them.

Once they reached the end of the fight, Curio hit pause on the remote, and Poisandra commented, "So he does have control over the Ptera Zord and its battle mode, after all. That's good to know."

"But he didn't destroy the Rangers," Sledge ground out in slight anger.

"He needs the appropriate power source in order to unleash the Zord's full power," Wrench explained. "Yesterday, Fury admitted that he got a bit of information out of his prisoner. The human apparently revealed that the Charger Fury currently has only holds enough power to be used to power up the Rangers' Energem tracker, not enough to fully control a Zord."

"So he needs the Gold Energem," Curio summarized.

"Correct," Wrench replied.

"But we can't find the Energem," Poisandra reminded them, "because we don't have that tracker. And the Energem Fury snatched yesterday apparently was a fake."

All of that just led them back to where they were before.

Sledge sighed in frustration, before yelling, "Fury! Get in here!"

Fury immediately entered the room, obviously waiting right outside the door, "Yes, Master Sledge?"

"Your Megazord ran out of power! Again!" Sledge roared. "What do you suggest to fix it? Because if the Ptera Zord can't be used properly, it's worthless to me!"

"I need the Energem," Fury replied. The girl he had been interrogating indirectly told him that yesterday. "That's it."

"Tell me, human, why this Charger won't work right?!" Fury demanded yesterday morning.

"Because it's a weak Charger," Callie replied. "It was only meant ta power up the E-Tracer, not fully control a Zord." And that was all she said.

"I can do it," Fury continued, almost pleading. "I've managed to capture two Energems already, but I won't stop until I get the other five Energems too!"

"Very well," Sledge replied. "Wrench, Poisandra, and Curio will help you. Curio, you are in charge."

"Yes, sir!" All four agreed.

Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum, Amber Beach, California

In the meantime, Kendall had suggested to the three remaining Rangers that they keep their mind preoccupied, instead of wallowing in their worry and concern, instead of just sitting around and waiting for Riley and Shelby to return with Callie.

It was an hour before the museum opened, and Kendall, Chase, and Tyler were continuing their work with setting of the Zandar Treasures Exhibit. Koda was outside, sitting in a tree and eating an apple for breakfast, on the lookout for Fury or Sledge just in case.

As they worked, Chase noticed that Tyler was starring off into space, as if he was in deep thought, "Tyler, you alright?"

Tyler turned to face him, before immediately putting on a smile, "Don't worry, I'm fine. It's just that...our Chargers usually last for so long, even a weak Charger that's only strong enough to power the E-Tracer. So why would Fury's run out of power so fast?"

"Maybe the thing that Fury gets his energy from is getting weak," Chase offered.

Kendall gave no such idea, only warning, "Whatever the case, don't forget that even a small amount of energy in the Ptera Charger can still do a lot of damage." Kendall

Outside, Koda noticed a large stretch limousine with an SUV closely behind it pull up the curb. He watched as several well dress men with cases exiting the vehicles. The leader, the only man not wearing sunglasses, was a young man in a black suit and an orange-colored tie, and he had a rather angry expression on his face.

Koda pulled out his Dino Comm and called Kendall, "Kendall, people are here, and they not look happy."

Inside, Kendall wondered who was arriving. She looked at Chase and Tyler, admitting, "But the museum isn't open yet."

The two Rangers shrugged, before all three turned to the entrance just in time for the group of men to enter.

"Collect the treasures!" The leader ordered, and all of the other men, who were clearly security, began packing up the exhibit into the cases they brought.

"What's going on?" Tyler asked, as the young man leading the security detail played with his cuff-links. At any angle, it was clear that being this well-dressed meant that you were at least rather rich. However, this close, it was evident that he was of high social status.

Kendall stepped forward, just as confused as Tyler and Chase, "Excuse me, I'm the museum director, and I was not informed about this. What do you think you're doing?"

"I'm taking what belongs to me," the man replied sternly, speaking in an British accent.

"Whoa, whoa, hey!" Tyler quickly said, assuming this guy was just arrogant and stuck up. "That's impossible because these belong to the royal family!" But then he paused, slowly realizing who it was that he was talking to. "Oh..."

"Starting to get the picture, are we?" the man snarked. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Phillip the Third, Prince of Zandar and twelfth in line for the throne. Unlike the imposters that have been masquerading around here..." The Prince angrily pulled out a magazine and showed the front cover to them.

It was a paparazzi photo of Tyler and Shelby dressed up in their royal best. To be honest, Tyler was rather surprised that the paparazzi were so quick, but he also understood why the prince was so upset.

"Wait a minute," Phillip took a double take towards Tyler, sounding rather offended. "This is you, isn't it?" Tyler looked back at Chase for help, but the Kiwi only shrugged, not knowing what to do. "It's a wonder why anyone mistook you as a prince..."

Tyler pouted at the insult, and Koda came through the front doors just in time to hear Phillip explain everything.

"Falsely posing as royalty is a serious crime in Zandar, especially posing as Zandarian royalty," the prince sternly explained. "It also risks bad international press."

Which, again, was understandable. Even if this prince was a snob, he did have a point.

"We very sorry," Koda finally spoke up, and Phillip turned to face him. Koda placed his hand on the prince's shoulder to calm him down, "We mean no disrespect."

"And what would you know about respect?" Phillip replied, before amusedly pulling a lead out of Koda's unruly hair. "Look at you..." He examined him with his nose in the air. "Filthy, shoeless, were you born in a cave?"

"No, born on mammoth hunt," Koda naively explained to him, as Tyler and Chase barely managed to hide a snicker, while the prince just looked at him confused. "Mother could not make it home to cave. Want some?" Koda offered his half-bitten apple out of kindness, but the young prince simply looked away in disgust.

He turned to the stand where the Gold Energem was. The real one, because no matter how much they told themselves that using a fake was the best option, ethically, it was a bad idea, and their morals won out.

"A knight's bravery is what makes this stone a legend," Phillip said, before snatching it away from its stand. "How dare you touch it?!" he snapped, seemingly insulted at how the Rangers were disrespecting the history of his country. "None of you are worthy!" he proclaimed as he left with all the treasures of Zandar. On the way out, he warned them, "My lawyers will be in touch!"

Kendall, Tyler, Chase, and Koda raced out after them, only arriving in time to see them drive off.

"There they go!" Kendall said.

"We're not really going to just let them take the Energem, are we?" Chase asked.

Kendall simply shrugged her shoulders, "The treasures of Zandar belong to the royal family. There's nothing we can do about that."

"But Prince Phillip doesn't realize the danger he just put himself in by taking the Energem," Tyler reminded them. "He doesn't know what it really is."

"But Sledge does," Koda added, before pointing to the nearby bushes. "Look."

Within the bushes were some Vivix, and they were moving from bush to bush, from tree to tree, as they moved along with the prince's caravan.

"This isn't good..." Kendall muttered.

"Let's go!" Tyler said before taking off. Chase and Koda quickly followed.

~B~R~E~A~K~~T~H~E~~C~H~A~I~N~S~~T~H~A~T~~D~I~V~I~D~E~~D~I~N~O~~C~H~A~R~G~E~~R~E~D~O~

Old Country Roads, Amber Beach, California

As Prince Phillip drove to the Zandarian embassy a couple towns away in Angel Grove, the Vivix continued to stalk him.

Eventually, they got tired of doing so and fired at the cars, causing them to swerve off the road before making them stop to a screeching halt.

The security detail got out of the car, and one of them exclaimed, "Come on! Protect the prince!"

Only for them to come face to face with Wrench, Fury, Poisandra, Curio, and a large amount of Vivix, as the mosnters stepped out of the smoke.

"Look, they're all dressed up!" Poisandra giggled.

"Dressed for their own funerals!" Fury growled mancingly.

Curio gave the order, "Attack!"

The Vivix charged into battle as the prince's security team did everything they could to ensure that Phillip didn't get into harm's way.

"There's too many!" one of the guards exclaimed as they tried their best to hold off the Vivix.

"Good heavens," Phillip muttered in pure terror as he got out of his limo. He turned around to run, only to come face to face with Fury. "What are you?!"

"Give me the Energem!" Fury demanded, grabbing the the lapel of the prince's blazer.

"Energem, I don't know-"

"DON'T PLAY STUPID WITH ME!" Fury roared before drawing his blade and holding it up to the prince's neck. "Hand it over!"

Phillip retreived the Stone of Zandar from his pocket, thinking that it was what Fury wanted. Just as he was about to hand the Energem over to the monster, a voice yelled "Stop!"

Phillip saw Koda come flying, tossing Fury aside. He then got to his feet and stood in front of Phillip protectively.

"You okay?" Koda asked.

"You?!" Phillip said, surprised at who his savior was, before Koda charged at Fury.

He managed to hit Fury with a strong hit to the chest. Fury tried to swipe at them but Koda managed to block the blows. When Koda caught one of Fury's fists, before hitting him with a strong roundhouse kick, knocking him back.

"Hang on, guys!" Phillip turned to see Tyler, as he and Chase ran into the fight to aid their friend.

Phillip watched as Tyler backflipped to avoid some Vivix, before sending a kick to each of their chests. As Chase evading all attacks before swiftly shooting all of them without effort.

Phillip simply watched on in awe at what was haappening. He was so rude to them, but they were the ones who ran in to help them.

Koda hit Fury with a strong punch, before doing a half-twist to evade Fury's blade. He tried his best against Fury, but the General was too powerful. Fury knocked him back towards the prince, as he roared, "Nothing's going to stop me from getting that Energem!"

"You wrong!" Koda exclaimed, looking around. "We stop you!"

Fury charged up his blade, "Not a chance!"

"What are you doing?" Phillip asked, panicked, as Koda grabbed a nearby hubcap.

He reached Phillip just in time to deflect Fury's blast, but the force was so powerful that it sent the two flying into the nearby forest.

"You're not escaping me this time..." Fury cackled as he stalked towards Koda and Prince Phillip.

"Come!" Koda said, as he helped the prince to his feet. "Fury after you!"

The two trekked deeper into the forest for safety, which wouldn't be long, since Fury knew how to hunt down his prey.

After walking a couple miles, they stopped to rest. Phillip sat at the base of a tree, as Koda told him, "You safe here."

Phillip looked at him in awe, trying to figure out why he showed him such kindness when he clearly didn't deserve it. "Thank you," he finally said. "But I am at loss for words. After how I treated you, how I treated your friends, the insults...why would the three of you risk your lives for me?"

Koda crouched down to his level and explained, "Everyone has good on inside, even mean prince, like you."

Phillip smiled, "Well, I suppose I deserve that..."

The moment was ruined when the two of them heard Fury's loud roar in the distance, followed by sounds of destruction.

"Come on! We need to hurry!" Koda exclaimed as he helped the prince to his feet.

As they went towards the clearing, they noticed a large boulder rolling their way.

"Move!" Koda exclaimed as he pushed Phillip away to safety. The boulder hit Koda, sending him flying.

While Philip was struggling to get up, he noticed the Gold Energem on the ground in front of him. As he reached for it, a menacing voice cackled, "Surprise!" Phillip looked up to notice Fury was in front of him. "Finally, after 800 years, the Gold Energem is finally mine!" Fury roared as he picked up the Energem.

"800 years?" Phillip asked confused, but then he finally pieced it all together. Hundreds of years back, when Sir Ivan was protecting the crown prince of Zandar (at the time), the monster he was battling with was Fury. "You were there when Prince Colin and Sir Ivan found the Stone of Zandar?"

Deep in the heart of the forests of Zandar, the young Prince Colin on his royal horse, clad in his royal best and a golden crown on his head, with Sir Ivan following closely behind him, carrying the flag of Zandar.

"I'm thirsty, fetch me some water," the young prince demanded, and they stopped next to the river for a drink.

As the young prince was sipping water from his jeweled chalice, Sir Ivan drank a handful from the creek, he noticed something shimmering in the creek.

Astounded, Ivan gently picked it and held it up towards the sun, trying to figure out what it is. It appeared to be a stone of some kind.

"Give me that!" The young prince demanded with authority. Loyal to a fault, Ivan knew his duty, so he got on one knee and handed the stone to the young prince. "It's mine," he claimed as he swiped the stone out of the knight's hand.

"No, it's mine!" a voice roared. Seeing this large, hulking figure coming their way, Sir Ivan pushed the young prince out of the way, drew his sword and went toe-to-toe with this menacing figure. That figure was covered in a full-body fur coat as their blades pressed against each other.

Ivan managed to hold his own against his opponent as the young prince watched from a safe distance, scared at what was transpiring.

Ivan ducked under his opponent's blade as he quickly recovered and continued fighting. When Ivan's back hit a tree, he quickly ran around to safety and went back to defending the Prince of Zandar. This opponent, blasted a strong bolt of thunder at Sir Ivan and the young prince, to protect them, Ivan got in front of the Prince to protect him. The blast sent Ivan and the young prince flying.

The monster's blow knocked the stone from his hand and the prince tumbled away.

Prince Colin didn't know what happened next. He was out cold, but when he came to, Sir Ivan and the mysterious figure wer both gone.

As the young prince laid there, going in and out of consciousness, the gold gem floated down the creek and into his hand. The prince picked it up and held it in his hand, as it curiously shimmered a golden light.

"Yes. They found the Gold Energem, and I attacked them because it was mine! That prince survived, but you'll be destroyed," Fury growled as he raised his blade to Phillip.

But just as Fury was about to attack Prince Phillip, blasts came out of nowhere, stunning Fury. Off in the distance, Tyler and Chase came running in to help their friend.

"Nice try, Rangers, but this Energem is coming with me!" Fury exclaimed as he ran off to regroup with his allies.

"Don't worry, we got you," Tyler told Phillip, as he helped Phillip to his feet. Meanwhile, Chase helped Koda stand back up. "You okay?"

Starting to see the error of his ways, he reassured them, "I'm a fool, but I'm fine. I get the feeling that you three know what an Energem is. That's what the monster referred the Stone of Zandar as."

"Yeah, we do," Tyler admitted. "We will explain everything, but you have to go back to the museum and stay there until we come back."

Phillip nodded, starting to wonder if the monster being after the Stone of Zandar was the reason they impersonated royalty at all.

Chase called Kendall over the Dino Comm, informing her, "Fury as the Gold Energem. We need to get it back. Where is he?"

"He's headed for the same place as yesterday," Kendall told them. "Seaside Quarry. Better hurry. If he installs the Energem into the Ptera Zord, he will have infinite energy..."

Kendall trailed off, and Chase's next quesiton brought her back to reality, "Do you have a way we can even the playing field if Fury does summon the Ptera Zord?"

"Yes, actually," Kendall replied. "I do have an idea for a Charger, but I need some time to make it. Good luck."

"You too," Chase replied, before hanging up.

Koda turned back to Phillip, "We take care of this. You go back to museum. Kendall will explain everything."

Phillip nodded, and the three raced after Fury. However, feeling guilty that this was all his fault, he instead decided to follow them instead.

Maybe he could do something to help?

Seaside Quarry, Amber Beach, California

Poisandra, Wrench, and Curio were digging through the breifcases that contained all the Zandarian royal treasures. They rug through them all in search of the Energem.

"Where is it?" Poisandra asked.

But they continued to ruffle through it all.

Meanwhile, Fury was on his way towards the others, and on the way, he ran into a Spikeball, "Where are they?"

"Right up ahead!" the Spikeball replied. "Follow me!"

Just as they were about to run up the nearby hill, Fury was knocked down by three blasts that hit him from behind. Once on the ground, he turned back to see the three remaining Rangers running up to him and the Spikeball.

"Give us back the Energem!" Tyler demanded.

"Not on your life!" Fury roared back. "And I still have to pay you back for your fake Energem trick! It made me look like a fool!"

"Good," Koda growled back, before announcing, "It Morphin' Time! Dino Charger!"

"Ready!" Tyler and Chase joined him. "Energize, ha! Unleash the Power!"

Phillip couldn't believe what he had just witnessed from his hiding spot behind a boulder, "What? They're...Power Rangers..." he breathed in amazement.

"Dino Steel: Armor On!"

"Watch out, Fury!" Tyler said. "'Cause it's about to get wild!"

Phillip watched as the three charged into battle, with Fury telling the Vivix to attack them.

"T-Rex Smash!" Tyler shouted as he took down the Vivix with some strong blows from his T-Rex Smasher.

Koda blocked all the Vivix's blows as he tossed one aside, before hitting the rest with his Stego Shield.

"Para Chopper Blast!" Chase explained as he lept into battle and took out all the Vivix with some accurate shots.

The three then flipped over to the Spikeball, which managed to block all of their attacks. It was clear that a Spikeball was a lot more power than a group of Vivix.

"Seriously?! You're supposed to be tough?!" the Spikeball taunted he hit the three with a strong blow that Tyler managed to block.

"T-Rex Smash!" Tyler called as he struck the Spikeball in the stomach, causing him to stumble.

This allowed Chase to get in a solid hit, "Para Chopper Blast!", which hit the Spikeball's chest dead on.

"What are you waiting for?" Fury demanded, forgetting briefly that he no longer had any authority. "Destroy them!"

"You want a go at them?!" the Spikeball shot back. "Be my guest!" The Rangers, even though he was only fighting three of them, were tougher than they looked.

As Tyler and Koda continued to fight, Chase's Dino Comm went off and he somersaulted off to the side to answer it, "Yes, Kendall?"

"It's Miss Mor-" she cut herself off. "Nevermind, there's no time. I've finished the Charger, but I need one of you to return to the base to get it."

"Sheesh, as if this battle wasn't already hard enough," Chase muttered.

"Sorry..."

"Don't worry," Chase reassured her. "We can still win. I'm on my way." When Kendall hung up, Chase called out to one of his teammates, "Tyler!"

Tyler managed to break free from the fight, and he jogged over to where Chase was, "What's up?"

"Kendall's finished that Charger," Chase explained. "But I need to go back to the base to get it. Here." He handed his Para Chopper over to Tyler, and Tyler quickly took it from him. "Use this to give yourself some extra edge."

"Alright," Tyler agreed. "Good luck!" He called after Chase, as the Kiwi raced back to the base. He turned back to face Fury, exclaiming, "This is it, Fury!" He then charged forward, "Para Chopper Blast!"

Tyler blasted at Fury, and it immediately engulfed him a cloud of smoke, but ultimately, the blasts had no affect on him.

"You'll never get the Ptera Charger!" Fury yelled, as the two fought. "The Ptera Zord is mine to control!"

Tyler struck at Fury but he managed to block the blow. As Fury struck at Tyler, he ducked and blasted at him.

"Don't count on it!" Tyler countered, before managing to catch Fury's sword in his T-Rex smasher, and then swiping at Fury with the Para Chopper.

But Fury quickly evaded it before sending Tyler flying with one kick.

To Fury's dismay, Tyler quickly got back to his feet, and held up his T-Rex Smasher, quipping, "You'll have to do much better than that!"

The lion monster growled, raising his sword to prepare for an attack, "You want me to do better? Fine, I'll do better!"

Sensing that he suddenly needed power than what he currently had, Tyler called, "T-Rex Smasher, Para Chopper: Combine!" The two weapons merged to create the top half of the Dino Spike, a weapon that Tyler called, "T-Rex Chopper!"

"Furious Roar!"

"Double Blast!"

The two blasts collided, but Tyler's attack prevailed, knocking Fury off his feet and further down into the quarry below.

He landed in front Poisandra, Wrench, and Curio, and Poisandra asked, "Fury?! What took you so long?! We can't find the Energem!"

They paused when they saw Tyler sling the T-Rex Chopper over his shoulder, silently cheering that something, for once, had gone right, and say, "You feel like giving up now, Fury? Because there's a lot more where that came from!"

"No!" Fury growled. "I will not give up until I destroy you Rangers! Even if it's the last I thing I-" He was cut off when his chest started glowing a bright yellow-orange light.

Tyler backed up, knowing that this was the strange figure from before, the one he, Callie, and Riley once saw. But he wasn't the only one watching, as Koda and the Spikeball both stopped their fight to see what was going on, and the other three Generals couldn't help but watch in confusion.

"No! It's happening again!" Fury cried out, as Tyler watched him fight this presence with everything he had.

Now would be a good time to snatch the Energem from Fury, but Tyler was completely frozen. There were a thousand thoughts going through his head at this moment.

"Tyler! Grab the Energem!" Koda called out.

But Tyler shook his head as the figure began to take on a human form, "Is it possible?"

It was clear now: Fury had a human trapped inside his body, and it was obviously fighting back.

"Dad?" Tyler whispered.

"You will not escape me!" Fury roared as he pushed the figure back into his body. Although he was clearly exhausted, he still got to his knees, "Nice try, Red Ranger. But I will not hold back anymore! Dino Charger, Ready! Summon Ptera Zord!"

A screech was heard in the distance, and it was clear to Tyler now that the Rangers had not won just yet.

In fact, the fight had only just begun.

The Red Ranger was forced back to reality when Chase suddenly called him over the Comm, saying, "Tyler, don't just stand there! Summon the T-Rex Zord!"

Tyler shook his head to clear it, before replying, "Right! We can still win!"

~B~R~E~A~K~~T~H~E~~C~H~A~I~N~S~~T~H~A~T~~D~I~V~I~D~E~~D~I~N~O~~C~H~A~R~G~E~~R~E~D~O~

Callie barely heard an explosion sound right outside the cave. Her headache was just too much.

But was she was getting sick and tired of sitting in silence, of being a simple hostage for Fury to exploit against her Ranger friends. She needed to do something. She needed to break free and then free Shelby and Riley.

But her mind was just too foggy due to the pain.

Wait! The last time she had a headache like this was when one or both of her hearings aids malfunctioned. It always produced a particularly nasty headache, almost a migraine, but it went away over time, and if it ever persisted, it was nothing a little one of Seán's friend Mark's aspirins couldn't fix.

But the point here was that the pain always went away (or started to) after she took out her malfunctioning hearing aids.

Maybe that would work here too...

Callie reached up and remembered that her wrists were cuffed. She had forgotten, but now the way she had moved and the position her hands were now in were causing the cuffs to dig painfully into her skin. But she managed to take out her hearing aids.

And as soon as she did, that awful high-pitching ringing sound was gone, and her metal cuffs fell off her wrists. In fact, they seemed to turn, not quite invisible, but see-through, and when she went to touch the cuffs lying on the ground, her finger went right through them.

"What?" As she spoke, she took careful note at how the cuffs and chains began to regain their color and shape.

Interesting...so everything here - the chains, the cuffs, and presumably any barriers as well - was all generated by sound.

Callie never felt fully secure about her disability, but now, she couldn't stop thanking it.

Because if she couldn't hear the sound that her hearing aids had picken up somehow, then there were no barriers holding her back now.

~B~R~E~A~K~~T~H~E~~C~H~A~I~N~S~~T~H~A~T~~D~I~V~I~D~E~~D~I~N~O~~C~H~A~R~G~E~~R~E~D~O~

The fact that there were no guards in the cave, no Spikeballs or Vivix, really interested Callie. It made her realize that she wasn't their biggest concern.

It was the Rangers and their Energems.

Despite how angry this made her, as she despised being used as a weapon against her friends, Callie continued on, still choosing to be stealthy just in case Fury came back or something.

She chose to retreive the Energems first, because they were the most important, and as far as she knew, Riley nor Shelby were in any danger (yet, but she didn't want to think about that). It was a surprisingly easy task. They were just sitting on a pedestal in the middle of the room, and without the danger of hearing any barriers or chains, taking them was as easy as blinking.

Once she had the Energems, which she placed in her pocket, she continued to search the cave system for the owners of those Energems. Once she found them, after about ten minutes of being lost, she smiled.

They were alright. Uninjured, despite a couple bruises.

They saw her too, but before they could call out to her (which she would hear; remember, she wasn't completely deaf), she immediately put a finger to her lips. She needed them to stay quiet.

Fortunately, they did just as she wordlessly asked them to do, only curiously watching as she carefully reached a hand through the opening of the section. She became visibly relieved when she encountered no barriers. She then walked over and knelt in front of them, taking Shelby's hands and placing them over the older girl's ears.

Just like Callie knew they would, the cuffs and chains immediately intangible, and Shelby was freed.

Before either Ranger could ask how she did that, she promptly did the same to Riley, and his own chains seemed to disappear.

She immediately held a finger to her lips, mentally pleading with them to not make a noise, before motioning her hands up to her ears.

Luckily, they understood and covered their ears with their hands, neither of them making a peep.

She led them out of the section and, having memorized most of the cave system's layout by now, to the exit with very little issues.

Once the exit was in sight, complete with the quarry and some trees visible through the opening, Callie reached into her pocket and placed her hearing aids back into her ears, before breathing another sigh of relief, this one audible, and saying, "Thank goodness," their cue that they could talk now.

"Wow, thank you," Shelby smiled. "That was pretty amazing. You managed to save yourself and us without throwing a single punch...you didn't, did you?"

Callie shook her head with a grin. She had not punched anything, not even the wall.

"How did you that?" Riley asked. "We tried everything and couldn't break out, but you could."

"The barriers and chains, everything meant ta hold us back," Callie explained, "were generated by sound. Once I realized that they all disappeared if I could not hear anything, that's when I broke free." She remembered the Energems and reached into the pocket she placed them in, "Oh, before I forget." She held them out.

Riley and Shelby's faces immediately broke out into smiles before reaching to grab their respective Energems.

"You're a miracle worker, Cal," Shelby said.

"You really are," Riley agreed. "How long were we in there?"

"About a day," Callie told them, before realizing that she had been in this cave longer than that, at least three days.

How was Seán holding up? Was he even holding up at all?

"Yeesh," Riley winced. "Fury might have the Gold Energem by now."

"Then let's not waste anymore time," Shelby told them. "Let's go."

Riley and Callie both nodded, and all three ran towards the exit, only to be blasted right as they were about to leave.

Fortunately, neither of them were hurt, and all three looked up to see a Spikeball. "Now, now, you three are not allowed to leave," it said, holding its club up to attack. "Besides, I went through the trouble of capturing all three of you, so I refuse to let my hard work go to waste."

This was when Riley and Shelby understood. This Spikeball was not only the one they faced and were defeated by yesterday, but this was also the same enemy that had kidnapped Callie too.

"Sorry, but we're in a hurry," Shelby snarked. "Dino Charger!"

"Ready!" Riley swiftly joined her. "Energize, ha! Unleash the Power!"

Callie stepped back a few paces as she watched the two pull out their Dino Sabers.

"You really want to do this, Rangers?" the Spikeball asked, before sending out the same three faces to attack them.

This time, however, both Riley and Shelby easily blocked all of the shots, before destroying the energy faces themselves. Once that was done, the two turned back to the Spikeball.

"W-What?!" it stuttered. "But that's my signature move!"

"The same attack won't work on us twice!" Riley countered.

Shelby, meanwhile, addressed the person they were trying to protect, "Get ready to run, Cal."

Callie nodded, and after a brief moment of silence, Riley and Shelby ran towards the Spikeball, simultaneously striking him with their Dino Sabers. But they didn't stop running, and Callie was sure to be right on their heels as soon as the Spikeball collapsed on the ground.

~B~R~E~A~K~~T~H~E~~C~H~A~I~N~S~~T~H~A~T~~D~I~V~I~D~E~~D~I~N~O~~C~H~A~R~G~E~~R~E~D~O~

The three were outside the cave now, but Callie didn't have time to enjoy the sunshine, because they were immediately shot at.

Now on the ground, they looked up to see that the quarry was quite busy today. Poisandra, Wrench, and Curio were on the sidelines, calling ideas and orders out to Fury, who was very obviously controlling the Ptera Zord, which was fighting Tyler and the T-Rex Zord.

Then there was another Spikeball that Koda was currently fighting. It called out, "You three are not allowed to leave!"

"Guys!" Koda noticed them, and hit it with a strong via his Stego Shield, stunning it.

Suddenly Chase came in, taking the Spikeball's arm and twisting it behind its back, leaving an opening. "Now, Koda!"

"Stego Shield Punch!" The blow knocked it back. Once the enemy was gone, Koda ran towards the other three and immediately wrapped them in one giant bear hug. "You guys okay!"

"Yeah, we're fine, Koda," Riley managed to get. "You can let go now."

Chase chuckled, having followed the caveman, "Koda, seriously. I doubt they can breathe."

Koda let go, but he teasingly countered, "Please, you just want to hug Callie."

"And if I do?" Chase asked, before embracing the Irishgirl with all he had. The words he whispered next were for Callie's ears only, "I'm so glad you're okay." He pulled back before caressing a bruise on her cheek, "What happened here?"

"I'm fine, don't worry," Callie replied, a content smile now on her face.

Meanwhile, the Spikeball landed right next to the Generals, just as the second Spikeball, from inside the cave, joined them.

"What in the world?" Poisandra asked, before looking back at what caused the Spikeball to go flying, and saw four of the Rangers and their friend reunited. "Fury! I thought you said you took the Green and Pink Rangers' Energems!"

"I did! How did you escape?" Fury demanded.

"That's a secret," Callie said with an innocent smile on her face.

Fury growled in anger, loathing the mind games she tended to play on him, before proclaiming, "That doesn't matter, because the tide has turned, Rangers! I have the Gold Energem now, prepare the suffer my wrath! Ptera Zord, attack them!"

The Ptera Zord immediately proceeded to blast lightning bolts at the five, who all managed to duck out of the way.

"Shocking, isn't it?" Fury taunted. "You can't outrun the Ptera Zord forever!"

As the Ptera Zord came flying back around, Koda noticed something, "Wait, look!" Out of nowhere, blasts of fire were shot at the Ptera Zord, which dodged everyone.

"What's that?!" Fury asked.

"Over there!" Chase called out as everyone turned around to the see Rexy charging into battle with Tyler riding on top of him. "The blast came from the T-Rex Zord."

"It Tyler!" Koda said in glee.

"Hey guys!" Tyler cheerfully greeted, before jumping down from his Zord. As he ran over to his team, he turned back and called out, "Great job, Rexy!"

"Nice entrance!" Riley complimented, as Tyler immediately wrapped Callie in a relieved hug.

"It's good to see you three again," Tyler replied, before releasing the hug, "I'm glad you're all okay."

"Likewise," Callie countered, before warning, "but the Ptera Zord's goin' ta come back, isn't it?"

"Don't worry," Chase spoke up, holding up andrevealing what Kendall had him retrieve. "Kendall's new Dino Charger should solve that. Dino Charger, Ready! Rexy, catch!"

The T-Rex Zord caught the Charger in his mouth, and roared.

"Dino Stretch Charger, Engage!"

With this Charger, Rexy was able to stretch his neck as long as he needed to, before clamping his jaws down on the Ptera Zord and bringing it down to the ground. The Rangers cheered, thankful that things were finally going right for them after so long.

"No! They've taken out my Ptera Zord!" Fury cried out.

"Do you really think you can beat us Fury?" Tyler asked, as Riley and Shelby quickly ushered Callie to the sidelines. "With courage and might, we're ready to fight!"

"Power Rangers: Dino Charge!"

"Wipe them out!" Fury commanded.

"Ooohh, I can't wait!" Poisandra cackled as they all ran into battle.

"Dino Steel: Armor On!" Riley and Shelby called, as Tyler handed the Para Chopper back to Chase, before the Rangers charged into the battle as well.

The fight continued.

"I'll finish you this time, Red Ranger!" Fury roared as he and Tyler faced off, wanting to finish the battle they had started days before.

"Oh come, Fury! You'll have to try harder than that!" an amused Tyler teased as he jumped over Fury's blade before striking him with the T-Rex Smasher, and attack that Fury was, unfortunately, able to dodge it.

"How about this?!" Fury challenged Tyler as his blade and the T-Rex smasher came to blows. "Vivix!"

One of the Spikeballs knocked Shelby back. Knowing that they had to pull out all the stops, she ran up to Riley and handed him her weapon, "Riley, take the Tricera Drill for a spin. They'll never expect it from you!"

"You got it!"

Shelby ran into the group of Vivix that had appeared on Fury's command. "When it comes to you seaweed heads, I don't even need a weapon!" Shelby exclaimed confidently as she hit the Vivix with a strong front kick, before doing a swift side flip into another kick.

"Stand still!" Poisandra complained as she tried to swipe at Riley with her heart-shaped axe, but the Green Ranger was too quick for her. He managed to evade her axe before blocking Curio's hammer.

"Yeah, it's easier to hit you if you stop moving!" Curio added.

Riley dodged both axe and hammer with a backflip, before revving up Shelby's Tricera Drill.

"Tricera Drill!" Riley exclaimed as he drilled a hole in the ground, with a plan in mind.

"Yay! We did it! We scared him away!" Poisandra and Curio cheered, but the two were cut off when Riley came out through a hole he dug behind them.

"Think again!" Using both weapons in his hands, Riley slashed at his two opponents.

Meanwhile, Koda went toe-to-toe with both Spikeballs, "Hey, caveman! How do you like our clubs!"

Koda managed to catch both their weapons and pushed them back, "They very weak! And I caveman strong!" Koda struck both of them in chest before tossing them aside like ragdolls.

"We meet again, hotshot!" Wrench joked as he fought with Chase.

"Unlucky for you!" Chase quipped as he narrowly evaded Wrench's blade. He quickly used the side of the narrow cliff nearby as a launch pad, and back-flipped as he fired at Wrench, "Para Chopper Blast!" knocking him out.

Wrench landed in front of Poisandra, and she repeatedly bonked him on the head, saying, "Get up, you pile of scrap metal!"

Callie watched all of this from the sidelines, and she nearby jumped out of her skin when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She sighed in relief when she saw that it was just a regular human, a rather well-dressed young man.

"Oh, sorry, I thought ye were a monster," she apologized.

"No apologies are needed," the man replied. "I am Prince Phillip III, prince of Zandar."

"Oh, hello, I'm Callie," she offered a smile. "It's a pleasure ta meet ye. What are ye doing here, if I may ask?"

"Well," Phillip replied, having seen the Rangers hug this girl the moment they realized she was there, "I came here because yesterday, there was an incident in the news about the prince of Zandar making an appearance with his lucky bride, a prince that was neither me nor any of my brothers."

Phillip was impressed that she seemed to quickly understand what he was saying, "Don't tell me that those Rangers down there really did something that idiotic..."

He gently smiled, "They did, and I arrived today in order to hammer out the lawsuit. However, those monsters down there attacked me for...they called it the Gold Energem...and your friends were the ones who saved me." He turned back to face her, "Impersonating royalty is a serious crime in my country," Callie grimaced, "but I understand why they did so now." She looked at him, slightly afraid but also slightly curious. "To save you."

Phillip was not expecting Callie's face to turn red. "M-Me?"

"Yes," he calmly explained. "The moment I saw you exit that cave, everything suddenly made sense. They were trying to trick those monsters in order to create an opening to save you. Apparently, it took a while, but it worked."

Did she really mean that much to them? Chase, she understood. But the other four?

"And if you don't believe me," Phillip continued, "then let me assure you, before you showed up, they were not doing very well. But now, you cannot deny that they are much stronger than before now that they know you are safe."

Callie turned back to watch the fight, seeing the Generals, sans Fury, regroup. Seeing them now, she quickly noted how confident they were. "No...no, I can't," she admitted.

And she smiled, her heart filled with warmth.

Back down in the quarry, Koda and Chase regrouped with Riley, the latter of whom suggested, "I have an idea, Koda. Let's combine our weapons."

"Be careful, it heavy," Koda advised, as as he handed Riley his Stego Shield.

"Oh no, now what" Wrench shivered in fear.

"Tricera Drill, Raptor Claw, Stego Shield: Triple Spike!" Riley announced, as he held the new weapon in his hands. One of the Spikeballs charged at Riley, but he wasn't backing down. "Dino Pierce!" With one strike, the Spikeball was out for the count.

As that was going on, Tyler and Fury were still going at it.

"I have you now," Fury growled as he stalked towards Tyler.

"Not a chance!" Tyler exclaimed as he got to his feet.

Fury growled as he charged up his blade. Tyler stood his ground as Fury said, "Let's finish this!"

Suddenly, Fury's sword brightly flashed. It was very short, but it made something come to Tyler's mind, something that Callie had said.

"There's a split second when his blade reflects the sunlight. It's quick, but I think if ye can see that, then it might be easier ta dodge the attack the next time ye fight him."

Fury attacked, "Furious Roar!"

Fury struck at the ground, sending a strong surge of electrical energy towards Tyler, who, fortunately and using Callie's previous advice, narrowly evaded it.

Fury thought he had Tyler, but he was wrong.

Tyler came out through the smoke, "Nice try!" charging right at Fury.

"Impossible!" Fury cried out.

"T-Rex Smash!" Tyler exclaimed as he hit Fury with a strong blow with his T-Rex Smasher, sending him flying.

On the sidelines, Callie and Phillip both cheered in their own ways.

"It's over, Fury!" Tyler said, as the other four Rangers joined him. "Give us the Gold Energem!"

"Never!" Fury yelled, struggling to stand on his feet. "It's mine!"

But as Fury held the Gold Energem in his hand, a strong energy surged through him, feeding the life force that the feral beast had trapped inside of himself, causing it to appear again.

"No! Not now!" Fury cried out. The life force had found the strength to finally free itself from Fury.

"What's going on?" Phillip asked. Callie could shake her head, unable to give an answer.

Fury was trying his best to fight this strange life force, but it was starting to become too much for him.

Tyler walked towards Fury and the life force, "Could it be...? Dad, is that you?" He asked with hope, as the life force was starting to separate himself more from Fury, resembling a person.

"You will not escape!" Fury roared out, but the figure started to separate itself from Fury to the point where it was no longer attached to him.

Once it had separated himself from Fury, a strong surge of energy resonated throughout the area, causing the Rangers to fly back. The energy was strong enough to even disable their morphs.

Callie immediately raced out of her hiding spot and when she reached them, she asked, "Are ye lads okay?"

Shelby groaned before answering, "We're fine."

Meanwhile, the figure was starting to show it's true form. "Dad?!" Tyler asked as he ran straight towards the stranger, and his hope got ever higher when he saw that the figure was a human male.

This was the moment that Tyler had been waiting for his entire life.

"Dad!" Tyler said with joy as he turned the person over to see their face, only to reveal someone else, a young man the Rangers' age, maybe slightly older and around Kendall's age.

This wasn't James Navarro.

Confused, Tyler jumped back, "What?!"

The young man backed away, taking in his surroundings.

"You're not my dad..." Tyler muttered, as everyone else got back to their feet. "Who are you?"

"I am Sir Ivan, Knight of Zandar..." the stranger proclaimed.

What? This was the Sir Ivan from all the Zandarian folklore? This was the same Sir Ivan who mysteriously disappeared without a trace, gone for the last 800 years?

"The Knight of Zandar?!" Chase asked, confused.

Tyler didn't know what to think. He was so sure that his father was trapped inside of Fury. But if that wasn't the truth, then what was? Where was James Navarro?

"Sir Ivan? That's impossible..." Phillip breathed out in amazement.

Sir Ivan's gaze landed on Fury, and he walked up to the monster that taken the last 800 years away from him, "Finally, 'tis my turn to morph."

As he came face to face with Fury, he looked at the Gold Energem in his hand. It shone brightly as he felt its power coursing through him. Suddenly a strange object made of stone appeared on his left wrist.

"That Energem's mine!" Fury roared as he finally came to his feet.

Ivan stared at the strange object in confusion, until Shelby called out to him, "Ivan!" He looked up at her. She continued, motioning to her wrist, "Place it inside!"

He looked back at the Energem. Now there was a solid idea.

He threw the Energem into the air and let it land into the strange stone gauntlet on his left wrist. Immediately, the stone broke away to reveal a blue and gold colored Morpher. He activated it with a simple tug, exclaiming, "Unleash the Power!"

With a flash of gold, Sir Ivan had morphed for the first time.

"Still think the stone is yours?" he asked Fury. It was a rhetorical question, of course.

"Wow!" Callie breathed out in amazement.

"Gold Ranger?" Koda asked.

"Vivix, attack!" Fury order, and an army of Vivix charged at Ivan.

"Pterodactyl, Power Ranger Gold!" Ivan exclaimed, before using the gauntlet to fire some shots at his foes, "Gold Ptera Morpher: Ptera Bolt!" But the more Vivix he took, the more Vivix that rose up in their place. He breifly turned to the six behind him, "Leave these beasts to me! I have a score to settle!"

He then charged deeper into the fight. The other six could only watch as he took down all the Vivix, effortlessly and gracefully.

Ivan was obviously incredible on the battle field and it was like that 800 years trapped inside of Fury had no effect on him.

"Why, they practically leap onto my fists!" Ivan chuckled, before wings grew on his back. He leapt up to strike at the remaining Vivix with his Morpher. "Ptera Strike!"

"Whoa!" Riley breathed out.

"He can fly?" Chase asked, amazed at what Ivan was capable of.

"Sledge will be furious," Fury growled, before leaving the battlefield in shame.

Shelby turned to a still torn Tyler, and she gently nudged his shoulder, "Hey, you okay?"

Tyler instantly slapped on a fake smile, "Yeah, I...I'm fine."

Callie dug into her pocket and pulled out a black leather bracelet, "Will this cheer you up?"

And Tyler's smile grew into a real one. It was small, but it was real, "My dad's bracelet. You found it."

"Of course I did," Callie smiled back.

Shelby took it from Callie's hand and started wrapping it back around Tyler's left wrist, and he let her.

As she did so, Chase gently stated, "Today may not have been the day, Tyler, but one day, you will find your dad."

Tyler quietly answered with, "Thanks, guys."

Meanwhile, Ivan found himself face to face with Poisandra and Curio.

"Another Ranger?!" Poisandra groaned.

"Get him!" Curio exclaimed, and the two sisters charged into the fight.

"Get thee back, gargoyles!" Ivan protested.

Poisandra and Curio tried to take Ivan down, but he was just way too quick for them.

After leaping over Poisandra's blade, he jumped over them. "Summon Ptera Saber!" A storm cloud appeared and a bolt of lighting flew down into Ivan's hand, forming the mentioned Ptera Saber. Having an idea, Ivan opened up his saber and placed the Gold Energem inside one of the compartments.

"Gold Energem, Engage!"

"This doesn't look good, Curio," Poisandra warned. "We better run!"

"Lightning Bolt!" Ivan exclaimed as he blasted them both with a strong jolt of lightning.

"He fried my brain!" Poisandra cried out as the top of her head was crispy from the lightning

"How unlucky!" Curio quipped, smoking.

The two fell back onto the ground just as Wrench passed by. He saw what had happened to them and raised his axe before running into the fight, "Sorry, but you've worn out your welcome!" Wrench cried. He tried to strike at Ivan with his axe, but the Gold Ranger was able to block it with his Ptera Saber. His metal axe was easily conducting Ivan's lightning attack, electrocuting Wrench. "You're frying me!"

"Lightning Strike!" Ivan exclaimed as he struck at Wrench, sending him flying. "Who's next?"

"My turn!" the second, remaining, Spikeball exclaimed, coming face to face with the Gold Ranger.

Ivan waved his Saber around, in a very similar manner as Fury, charging it up as he exclaimed, "Feel the power of the storm!"

"Feel the power of this!" the Spikeball roared before blasting his signature attack at Ivan.

But he fired back, "Lightning Final Strike!"

The attacks collided but in the end, Ivan's attack proved to be more stronger as it powered through, effectively destroying the Spikeball.

"Anyone else?" Ivan asked, as he stood tall.

"Wait a minute," Tyler quietly noted. "That was Fury's attack he just used."

"No, it wasn't," Callie noted. "Fury's the one who stole the move from Ivan. Ever heard of 'ye are what ye eat'?"

Still busted up, Curio jogged towards the fallen Spikeball. "Hopefully, this will give us enough luck to avoid Sledge's wrath," she commented as she sprayed it with her Liquid Luck.

As it grew to giant size, Poisandra enveloped her sister into a hug, "We're so lucky to have you, Sis! Now, get the second and let's go home!"

"Roger that!"

"Your problems just got a lot bigger!" the Spikeball roared.

The rangers regrouped with Ivan as Tyler suggested, "We'll call our Megazord!"

"No!" Ivan stopped them. "This quest is mine." He did tell them that he had a score to settle, and he was determined to see it through to the end.

"Wait, wait, wait, stop!" Riley rushed up to him to warm him. "The Ptera Charge Megazord is evil!" He had a point. Even though now Ivan possessed the Gold Energem, Fury still had a strong hold on the Ptera Zord and its battle mode.

"Not for long," Ivan reassured them, as he stepped forward and leapt inside the Ptera Zord. "Ptera Charge Megazord, Activate!" Ivan placed his Saber inside the control stand.

With that, whatever hold Fury had on the Ptera Zord was now gone and it was back under Ivan's rightful control. "Your evil spell is broken!" He proclaimed as the Ptera Charge Megazord ripped off its black cape. "Let our duel begin!"

"Ptera Charge Megazord, Ready!"

By this time, the other Spikeball had been sprayed with Curio's Liquid Luck. "Time to say nighty-night, knight!" one of them said as they both charged at the Megazord.

Ivan was able to keep them at bay with his Megazord's sabers.

"The knight of Zandar shan't run from a battle! En garde!" Ivan exclaimed, managing to hold his own against Sledge's minions.

The Spikeballs blasted Ivan from both ends but he leapt high in the air, avoiding the blasts. He came down and struck both of them with powerful strikes from his Ptera sabers, stunning them.

"Ptera Lightning Blitz!" Ivan announced, as he blasted the Spikeballs with a strong lightning blast. "Ptera Lightning Slash!" His megazord spun around and struck the Spikeballs with strong slashes from his sabers, destroying them once and for all.

"Monster Vanquished," Ivan proclaimed as he stood tall.

Once the battle was finished, Sir Ivan demorphed and was instantly greeted with a warm reception from Callie and the other five Rangers.

"Sir Ivan, hi! I'm Shelby, welcome to our, um...century," the girl in pink greeted, pausing because she wasn't quite sure what to say.

"You will like it here," Koda smiled, patting Ivan's shoulder. "I show you burgers." He held up his hands as if these 'burgers' were things to behold.

The Rangers were soon joined by the prince from earlier, who had watched everything transpire, wisely choosing to do so from the sidelines (unlike Callie, he amusedly noted).

"Prince Phillip..." Koda said surprised, as Sir Ivan got on one knee, as a sign of respect to the royal family.

"I thought we told you to go to the museum," Tyler reminded him.

"You did," Phillip replied. "And my apologies, but I was too curious."

"Sire, I am at your service..." Ivan bowed his head to Prince Phillip before offering the Gold Energem to him. "This belongs to the royal family."

Phillip reluctantly took the Gold Energem and asked Sir Ivan, "Do you know me?"

"I know the royal blood of Zandar when I see it. I've spent my entire life faithfully protecting your family."

"So you truly are Sir Ivan, the Knight of Zandar," Phillip replied, amazed. Ivan bowed his head in respect to the prince. Phillip motioned Sir Ivan to stand, asking him, "And the monster did not destroy you?"

"No, he captured me," Ivan explained, "for 800 long years. Only when aided by the power of that stone could I finally escape." Phillip stared at the Energem in his hands.

"It isn't just a stone..." Shelby spoke up, as she and the other Rangers pulled out their Energems from underneath their shirts for Sir Ivan and Prince Phillip to see. "It's an Energem..."

"They have more power than you can ever imagine..." Riley added.

"Millions of years ago, eleven energems were lost. We've only found six so far," Chase explained.

"The Stone of Zandar is the seventh," Tyler said.

"And it's clearly bonded ta ye, Sir Ivan," Callie finished, "most likely because of yer loyalty and honor."

"The Energem is yours," Phillip said, handing the Gold Energem back to Ivan. "Use it as you will."

"Trust that I will use it to make the kingdom proud," Sir Ivan smiled as he accepted the Energem back.

Phillip nodded back at him in a way that clearly stated 'Make sure you do', before turning to the other Rangers, "About that lawsuit..."

Callie's five Ranger friends visibly tensed up upon hearing this, but Phillip gently smiled.

"I won't press charges," he reassured them, and they all relaxed. "I will tell my family your reasons for doing so, that you were only trying to save a dear friend, and I will see if I can get permission for you all to keep open the exhibit after all. However, be warned that not everyone in my family will be as forgiving as I am. I will do my best to keep my family from pressing charges, but no promises."

"We understand," Tyler replied. "Thank you."

As Phillip's repaired limo pulled up, ready to take him back to the embassy, he turned to Koda, "I am humbled by your bravery and courage."

He patted him on the shoulder as a sign of respect, and Koda returned the gesture.

As Phillip was about to leave, he turned to them one final time, and said, "May you discover the remaining Energems safely. If one turns up on my end, I will let you know immediately."

And with that, Prince Phillip III was gone.

Shelby turned back to Ivan, "Welcome-" she trailed off when she saw him walking away from them, "-to the team..."

"Where are you going?" Riley asked, curiously.

"Where?" Ivan asked, before replying, "I have been captured for 800 years." Callie absentmindedly massaged her sore wrists, where red marks were from the cuffs Fury put her in. "It matters not what path I take, as long as it is the path I have chosen."

To be honest, even if they didn't know from experience, it did make sense. It made sense that Ivan would want to rediscover the world that had changed so much, to see what he had missed out on, and do so on his own terms.

Ivan walked away, and Shelby was about to follow him, but was stopped by Callie, "Give him some space. He's enjoying something he hasn't felt in a long time." She kept subconsciously massaging her sore wrists. "Freedom."

The subplot with Julian will be in the next chapter, as indicated by the preview below, and also, Callie is not entirely free from Fury just yet (you'll see in the next chapter).

If you're confused as to why Phillip wears black and orange instead of gray, just remember that the Graphite Energem is now the Orange Energem.

Curio's "How unlucky" is indeed taken from her Sentai counterpart. It's just a callback, nothing special.
