A/N: Enjoy the chapter! Sorry you guys had to wait so long.
Disclaimer: I do not own Power Rangers Samurai or Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. I just own most of the plot and the characters and things you don't recognize from the original versions.
Note: There's a time-skip between the previous chapter and this one. I'll say it again later in the chapter, and explain the possible reasons why, but I thought you'd all like to know that this chapter is canon within this story.
This is it. The last filler chapter before the grand finale. Enjoy the calm before things really start heating up.

"During a Halloween festival, Kevin and Emily are trapped inside a haunted house controlled by a Nighlock. Can they find a way out before they too are controlled?"
Better Together
Power Rangers: Samurai REDO
Season 2, Episode 15.5, Halloween Special: Truth and Consequences
Junk Ship, Sanzu River, Netherworld
October 31, 2015
Octoroo stared long and hard down into the red-tainted water below him, where his beloved Master rested within. Due to Xandred still being submerged after the entire summer (and part of autumn), Octoroo found himself a little less lonely whenever he talked to him.
Granted, the conversation was always one sided, but Octoroo was all alone now.
"Good morning, Master," Octooroo began.
Like always, there was no answer.
The squid continued, "Happy Halloween."
Halloween, a day that humans once thought was dangerous, because it was the day when the boundary between earth and hell got weaker. And it did, thanks to the Nighlock (after all, the Nighlock didn't say it was their day for no reason). Now, maybe some people still believed that, but most didn't. Now, they ran around from door-to-door, letting their kids collect candy from neighbors. Now, the only thing that scared humans on Halloween was scary movies.
"To be honest, I feel optimistic about this Halloween," Octoroo admitted. "Because my longest lasting Action Commander is still out there, causing misery as we speak. The Rangers don't even know he exists yet. And without Serrator, everything's been going smoothly."
He then turned back to stare solemnly at the place Dayu used to always sit in, strumming her Harmonium.
"Dayu hasn't returned yet," he finished, "but I'm hopeful that she will soon."

Rainbow's End, Panorama City, California
The Rangers' favorite amusement park was all decorated for its annual Halloween Festival. The Rangers themselves decided to go for a specific reason. At first, it was because Emily had brought it up.
But then the Gap Sensor had picked up a Nighlock presence here, and although it was unable to narrow it down, there was no doubt that a Nighlock was hiding somewhere in this amusement park. This meant that they had no choice but to go.
So all six of the Rangers were here, all dressed up in costumes of their own (because that was the only way they could get in today). Light Zord had tagged along, due to being connected with the Gap Sensor, and it being Halloween today was lucky, because it allowed him to easily blend in as a prop.
"I really think we should try to enjoy ourselves while here," Antonio suggested. He was dressed up as a candy 'rapper' (this guy sure loved his puns).
"Agreed," Mike added. He was wearing a skeleton costume with a Dia de los Muertos sugar skull painted on his face (Antonio was the one who helped him with it). "It is Halloween, after all."
"Fair enough," Jayden said. He was wearing a butler costume, with his hair slicked back. "Just stay on your guard. That Nighlock could be anywhere."
"Don't worry about us," Mia assured him. She was dressed up as a vampire-bitten cheerleader, her hair up in a ponytail, faux fangs in her mouth, and red makeup on her neck that was meant to be her 'bitemarks'. "We'll be fine."
"Let's just see what everyone's current interests are and split up into duos depending on what they are," Kevin said. He was dressed up as a Sherlock Holmes-esque detective.
"I'd like to play some of the games they've got," Mike admitted.
"I intend on finding a place for us to have lunch," Jayden said.
"I just want to explore," Emily added. She was dressed as a hippie, wearing a white sundress with sandals and a flower crown. She was also the one holding onto Light Zord.
"I'll stick with you, Mike," Mia smiled, and he smiled back.
"I'll go with you, Jayden," Antonio said.
"Alright," was Jayden's calm response.
That left Kevin, "I guess I'm with you, Em."
Emily faux-pouted, "You say that like it's a bad thing."
Kevin simply smiled, "It's not, Em. I promise."
"Be careful," Light Zord warned. "I promise you that Nighlock is around here somewhere."
"Can you pinpoint it now?" Antonio asked.
"Not yet," LZ answered. "It's really good at hiding its prescence. So be careful. I'll stick with Kevin and Emily. Their exploring will allow me to get a more accurate location along the way."
"Alright," Jayden said. "Stay on guard, everybody. Good luck."
"And have fun!" Antonio added, and Jayden shot him a look as the six split up and went their separate ways.

Two kids cheered when Mia landed the final ring on the center bottle. Mia had won the ring toss.
Mike and Mia had run into a couple of young kids who wanted to win a prize for their parents, as a gift for their anniversary today. The two young adults volunteered to help the kids after Mike noticed that they were having trouble.
"Nice one, Mia!" Mike exclaimed. "You've got a good eye."
"Thanks," Mia replied, as she took the teddy bear from the worker. "You're not so bad yourself." She handed the bear to the kids, with a sweet, "Here you go."
"Thank you, ma'am," the little boy said.
His older sister added, "Yes, thank you so much. Both of you."
"You're welcome," Mike said, as the two kids walked away. Once they were out of sight, he turned to Mia, "Nice job."
"Likewise," she replied, as the two shared a fist-bump.

Antonio was verbally taking notes on where every food stall was located, and Jayden was doing the same thing, only in his head instead of out loud.
And then the duo came upon a food court.
"Wow! So many choices!" Antonio explained. "There's no way we'll all agree on the same thing!"
Jayden barely managed to nip is laugh in the bud, "Antonio, I think you're operating under the assumption that we all have the same appetite." Which was true.
Antonio immediately turned to his oldest friend, looking as if he was just insulted.
~B~E~T~T~E~R~~T~O~G~E~T~H~E~R~~P~O~W~E~R~~R~A~N~G~E~R~S~~S~A~M~U~R~A~I~~R~E~D~O~
"Anything yet?" Kevin asked the talking lantern Emily was holding.
"No. Maybe if you guys started going into buildings..." Light Zord suggested.
Although he trailed off, Emily quickly understood what he was trying to say, "Good idea." She turned to the building closest to them. "How about we start there?"
It was the Haunted House.
The air surrounding the House seemed very off for some reason. It was just a building that the staff had decorated for this Festival, so it normally wouldn't have seemed so scary. See, when someone is old enough, they can tell the difference between something scary being real or fake. The House here, under normal circumstances, was intended to be fake scary.
But right now, it seemed scary for real.
At least to Emily. She couldn't speak for Kevin, but she suspected that it could've been her clairvoyance telling her that something was wrong.
Kevin quickly noted her demeanor change, "Em? You okay?"
This question proved her assumption correct. Kevin didn't seem to notice anything off about the House here. Emily softly, slowly answered by repeated, "We need to start here."
He didn't have the same abilities Emily did, but he knew about her enough to trust her. So he agreed, "Right. Light Zord?"
"Let's go."
The fact that they seemed to be the first people to visit the Mansion seemed off to Kevin, because the Rangers had been here since Rainbow's End first opened at 9:00am, and they weren't the only ones in that opening group. It was almost lunchtime now, so the fact that the line was lacking told Kevin that there was more than meets the eye.
And the staff member that greeted them didn't seem to convey any emotion whatsoever. Normal workers would always put on a fake smile, at least, but this staff member's voice and face were both completely flat, and their movements almost seemed like a marionette's.
Kevin filed that strange note away in his brain before he and Emily entered the building, both on edge and ready for the worst. And as soon as they entered, Light Zord immediately stopped them.
"There's definitely something in here! I can detect a prescence originating from the Sanzu River, somewhere in this building!"
"You've managed to pinpoint the location?" Kevin asked.
"Almost," LZ explained. "I need to get closer to get it exactly."
"But there is a Nighlock here?" Emily said, sounding more like a statement than a question.
Light Zord was about to answer, when the front door suddenly slammed closed behind them. The two Rangers immediately turned around, and Kevin tried to open the door, but only succeeded in jiggling the lock.
He chose to give up and turned back to Emily, "It's locked. Looks like we're trapped here."
Emily responded by wordlessly turning her gaze from him to the doorframe, or rather, what was placed on it. Kevin followed her eyes and found what she was looking at.
Two sutras, which both of them recognized as the ones Octoroo often used, on either side.
"Secret Barriers," Kevin breathed. He turned back to Emily, "There is a Nighlock here."
Emily simply nodded, as Light Zord added, "And we're trapped in with it."
~B~E~T~T~E~R~~T~O~G~E~T~H~E~R~~P~O~W~E~R~~R~A~N~G~E~R~S~~S~A~M~U~R~A~I~~R~E~D~O~
It was about thirty minutes after they won the teddy bear for the two kids when Mike and Mia arrived at the coordinates Antonio texted them to meet up at. The Green and Pink Rangers were confused as they arrived in time to witness Antonio ranting about food in various, different cultures.
Jayden gently cut him off by saying, "Again, Antonio, for the thousandth time, all of this is assuming we'll want to eat the same thing."
"I agree," Mike cut in, alerting the two to the prescence of him and Mia. "We don't have to order from the same place."
"Maybe you're confused about what you want to have," Mia offered, trying to be helpful.
Antonio tried shrugging it off, but after a few seconds, said, "Maybe you're right. What are you craving right now, Mike?"
"A burger and some fries sound good to me right now."
"Interesting," Antonio said, before turning to Mia, who was looking around, "What about you, Mia?"
She jumped slightly as if he caught her off-guard, "What about what?"
Antonio didn't elaborate or repeat himself. He instead chose to comment on her bewildered and worried expression, "Are you okay, amiga?"
"Oh, I'm fine," Mia explained. "I'm just worried about Kevin and Emily. Wouldn't they be here by now?"
Jayden checked his watch, "I said to meet up at 12:30pm. It's now 12:32."
"Exactly," Mia said. "Kevin is always on time. He would never be late."
All four of the minds flashed back to Christmas last year, when Kevin and Antonio had gone missing and were later revealed to be trapped in the forest by a Nighlock.
Jayden replied to this by pulling out his Samuraizer and dialing Emily's number. He waited, before hanging up, the solemn expression on his face not changing.
"Well?"
"No answer from Emily," Jayden said. "Call didn't even connect."
"Oh dear..." Antonio muttered.
Mia pulled out her own Samuraizer and dialed Kevin's number. After a few seconds, she too hung up, with no sign of joy anymore to be seen. "No answer from Kevin either."
"Then something definitely happened to them," Mike said.
Jayden pulled out the Lion Zord, who immediately went into animal mode as the Red Ranger started talking, "Lion, go find Kevin and Emily. When you do, take note of their location and come directly back to us."
Lion nodded, before leaping out of Jayden's hand.
~B~E~T~T~E~R~~T~O~G~E~T~H~E~R~~P~O~W~E~R~~R~A~N~G~E~R~S~~S~A~M~U~R~A~I~~R~E~D~O~
Kevin hung up his Samuraizer and placed it back into his pocket, "No connection. Looks like we're on our own, Em."
"It's alright," Emily said, as the duo went through the first room. "We've got this."
The first room was a living room, much like one found whenever they entered their house. There was a couch, stained with fake blood, sitting in front of a antique television set. On the ground in between the tv and the couch was an outline made of white tap. Taking into consideration how decorated this room was, it was obviously meant to be some sort of murder mystery.
However, the creepiest part of this room was the television set showing nothing but static, because the two Rangers didn't know whether that was supposed to be set up like that or whether it was the doing of the Nighlock.
They couldn't stay, however, and quickly moved onto the next room.
The second room was nursery, which already creeped the duo out. Especially since the room was decorated with baby dolls and creepy infant mannequins. Kevin deduced that it was the Uncanny Valley Effect that contributed to the scary factor of this room, and definitely not the red-colored runes, made of fake blood, on the walls.
It was the third room where things began to get interesting.
The third room was a kitchen, and it was decorated with a red liquid splattered everywhere, but it was rather interesting how you couldn't decide whether it was fake blood or meat juice. It was creepy, yes, but none of it was scary.
Until a living person actually jumped out at them from behind the counter, holding a very real knife and dressed as a chef.
"Run!" Light Zord yelled.
Kevin and Emily both did as the Zord said, and ran, not backwards, but forwards into the next room.
The fourth room was a classroom, where all the desks were stacked up in the middleand the outside walls were lined with chains. However, it was an open area, which was good news for the two Rangers.
The man chasing them suddenly lunged at them, and the two Rangers suddenly realized in this moment that he was trying to kill them for real.
Kevin caught the man's wrist, halting his attack, and Emily quickly hit the back of his neck, knocking the guy out. Once the man was on the ground, Kevin immediately kicked the knife out of his reach.
"He's just an ordinary human," Light Zord told them.
"I think he's one of the actors, judging by the costume," Emily quietly said.
"Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too," Kevin added. "There's no other guests here besides us."
"You two didn't let me finish," LZ suddenly spoke up. The two Rangers turned to him. "This man is a human, so he can't be the Nighlock, but I'm detecting the scent of Sanzu River water on him."
Kevin raised an eyebrow in confusion, "What? How is that possible?"
Emily looked closer at the man's wrist, around which she saw a white string. Sprouting from it, she could see a very faint outline of a whole system of strings.
Like a puppet.
"He's being controlled," Emily muttered.
"Exactly," Light Zord said. "Let's see if I can show you two what I can see." He then shone brightly. Kevin and Emily both covered their eyes, before their eyes adjusted to the suddenly brightness.
Once they did, Emily could now see clearly the strings she noticed not minutes before. And the strings were everywhere around the room.
"Great, we're dealing with a puppet master," Kevin commented, before connecting a few puzzle pieces. "The Secret Bariers were hiding its prescence from us and the Gap Sensor."
"Yeah. That's definitely why we never found it until now," Light Zord said. "Those Barriers are quite effective, aren't they?"
"Try to see if you can cut the strings," Emily suggested to Kevin. "That man may be able to give us some valuable information."
"Good idea," Kevin said, before producing his Spin Sword as Emily held LZ up to the strings invisible to the naked eye that were connected to the man they had knocked out.
Kevin sliced through the strings, or rather, tried to. The strings he was trying to cut immediately blocked him. They flexed, holding back Kevin's Sword, before the force he was mustered suddenly sent him stumbling back.
A beat of silence, before LZ said, "I guess we're gonna have to do this the old fashioned way."
"Stop it at the source," Kevin and Emily both said simultaneously.
~B~E~T~T~E~R~~T~O~G~E~T~H~E~R~~P~O~W~E~R~~R~A~N~G~E~R~S~~S~A~M~U~R~A~I~~R~E~D~O~
Puppeteer's right hand twitched when he felt one of the strings attached to it suddenly vibrate.
"Hmm," he muttered. "So the Rangers have found me after all this time." He scoffed, "Took them long enouogh."
Fortunately, he had preparing for this confrontation for at least three months.
~B~E~T~T~E~R~~T~O~G~E~T~H~E~R~~P~O~W~E~R~~R~A~N~G~E~R~S~~S~A~M~U~R~A~I~~R~E~D~O~
"A maze is the last thing we need right now!" Kevin groaned. The trio had left the classroom, just to find themselves in a corn-style maze.
"Don't worry, I can see the exit," Light Zord calmly told him. "Just follow my lead."
The two followed the lantern's directions. After turning right, then left, then right, and finally right for a third time, the trio was attacked by two workers, dressed as garden statues (of all things).
"Check out the white strings around their wrists!" Emily told Kevin as the two workers lunged at them.
Kevin ducked a punch from one before noting that she was right, "That must be how the Nighlock first catches people!" He then promptly knocked out the worker he was fighting.
As Emily knocked out the worker she was fighting, she apologized, "Sorry about this."
The two regrouped as LZ said, "I know where the Nighlock is now. They're in this building right now."
"Logically, that also must be where all the strings converge," Kevin pointed out. "So, we find the Nighlock, we free everybody being controlled by him."
"Let's go," Emily said, but before the trio could do anything, a tiny Lion Zord suddenly flew in through an open window. "Lion!"
Lion landed in Kevin's hand, as Dragon emerged from Kevin's pocket to translate Lion's words, which Kevin himself translated for himself, Light Zord, and Emily.
"The others are looking for us?" Kevin asked, and Lion nodded. The two Rangers shared a smile, before the Blue told Lion, "We're at the Haunted House, which is literally being haunted by a Nighlock."
Dragon translated for Lion, who then nodded and jumped back out the window to tell the others.
~B~E~T~T~E~R~~T~O~G~E~T~H~E~R~~P~O~W~E~R~~R~A~N~G~E~R~S~~S~A~M~U~R~A~I~~R~E~D~O~
Kevin, Emily, and LZ finally made it to hallway, where at the end was a set of double doors with an 'EXIT' sign above them. This was it. The three had a plan and this was the only chance to implement it. Light Zord had already turned off his light, as part of their plan.
The two Rangers shared a very subtle nod, before facing the front, and their plan begun.
Kevin sighed in relief, "Thank goodness that's over. What a boring experience!"
"Tell me about it," Emily added.
They knew the Nighlock was watching them. Otherwise, how else would it have known where and how to attack the two Rangers?
Just then a low, soft growl came from behind them, and Kevin blocked two shots with his Spin Sword that had come a statue behind them.
Emily saw the two shots turn into white string bands as soon as they hit a surface. Light Zord turned his light back on and Emily turned it towards the statue, which immediately closed its porcelain eyes to avoid going blind. However, to the Rangers, there were many, many strings sprouting from it.
Kevin scoffed, "You just gave yourself away, Nighlock!"
He then threw his Sword at the statue, breaking it. When the dust cleared and porcelain shards all fell to the ground, sure enough, a Nighlock was standing where the statue was moments before.
"Found you, Nighlock!" Kevin said, as he and Emily both smiled.
The Nighlock scoffed, "And it only took you three months." He then bowed, "I am Action Commander Puppeteer, and your ultimate doom. I will use my powers to control all the humans on this planet. Then there's no way that you Rangers will be able to stop me!"
"Not if we defeat you first!" Emily said.
The two Rangers then lunged at the Nighlock, pushing him through a nearby window and breaking it.
Now outside, the Nighlock rolled along the ground before catching himself and standing, as the two Rangers easily caught themselves before they went too far.
They were outside now, outside of the influence and power of Octoroo's Secret Barriers, and the space around was completely open. Now, the fight could begin.
Emily led the morph, "Samuraizers!"
"Go, Go, Samurai!" With this, the two morphed, as Emily continued to hold onto the Light Zord.
Kevin drew his Spin Sword, "Samurai Water, Power Ranger Blue!"
Emily, however, produced LZ's baton, "Samurai Earth, Power Ranger Yellow!"
Seeing this, Puppeteer tried to run away, only for the Yellow Ranger to land right in front of him, blocking his escape.
"You're not running now!" LZ, in Emily's grasp, said.
"Not when we spent all this time tracking you down!" Emily added.
Kevin ran up behind him, his Sword raised, "Get ready!"
Emily charged first and Kevin was quick to join her. The two attacked Puppeteer in unison, sometimes landing hits and somethings their attacks being blocked or dodged.
Until the two Rangers slahsed upwards, and dual blue and yellow energy strikes sent the Nighlock stumbling backwards.
Because in that moment, the two Rangers were no longer fighting him alone, as the other four (completely morphed) leapt into the courtyard and landed beside their friends.
"Kevin! Emily! You guys alright?" Mia asked them, as they gathered around the two.
"We're fine," Kevin said, before addressing Puppeteer. "It's over, Nighlock! There's no way you can win against all six of us!"
"No, it's not over," Puppeteer said. "Not as long as I have this!"
He then used his powers to summon all the workers of the Haunted House attraction to his side.
Just as he knew they would, the Rangers immediately backed off. There was no physical change, as their Swords were still raised, ready to strike, but he could see the emotional and mental change, even if they were all wearing helmets.
"What?" Emily asked.
"He plans to use them all as a shield!" Kevin realized.
Puppeteer laughed, "Let's see if you Rangers can defeat me while avoiding the people you protect. If you can do that, then I will consider you Rangers worthy opponents."
Mike was first, "We have no choice!" He charged, but immediately stopped when a group of workers walked towards him, essentially blocking him. Mike was quick to break off his attack. "Hey! Hands off!" he cried, as some of them tried touching him.
Fortunately, Mia was quick to pull him out in time.
Once the two regrouped with the others, Mike asked, "What now?"
Jayden turned to the Gold Ranger, "Antonio, from above!"
"Right!" Antonio said. Puppeteer made the chef (from earlier) charge towards him. Antonio leapt back to avoid the attack, before allowing Jayden to use him as a jumping board.
Now in the air, Jayden had a clear birds' eye view of the area. This meant that he knew how to attack the Nighlock and where.
But Puppeteer controlling two workers to leapt in front of the Nighlock, to protect him, made Jayden break off the attack.
Antonio ran to his oldest friend as he dropped to the ground, "You okay, Jayden?" He grabbed Jayden's arm and led him to his feet. "Man, this is a nightmare!"
"What are we supposed to do if we can't attack from above either!?" Kevin asked, as the workers began walking towards him and Emily. "He's surrounded no matter where we aim our attacks!"
"No, he's not!" Emily suddenly realized, as she got an idea. "Symbol Power: Hole!" Using her Symbol Power, she created a hole within in the ground. "Go, Kevin!"
Kevin then realized what she was doing, "Of course!" He clutched the Black Box tightly in his hand as he leapt into the hole Emily had just created.
Puppeteer laughed, "Ha! So you choose to dig yourselves a deeper hole! That secures my victory, Rangers! Admit defeat!"
But from behind the Nighlock, another hole was created in the ground.
"Super Samurai Mode!" Kevin called, morphing into Super Mode from within the hole.
Puppeteer was caught off-guard by Kevin suddenly attacking him from behind. Kevin landed two great hits on him, sending the Nighlock into the air.
"I get it!" Mike realized. "The only place he doesn't have puppets is through the ground!" Antonio nodded, realizing the same thing.
"Dragon Disk!" Kevin placed his blue colored Power Disk inside the Box before closing it. "Super Spin Sword: Super Dragon Splash!"
Kevin sent a blue slash into the air, which hit Puppeteer dead on, destroying his first life.
With Puppeteer's first defeat, the white bands around the workers' wrists all disappeared, successfully freeing them from the Nighlock's spell.
"What?" a worker asked. "What happened?" It was clear that their co-workers were wondering the same thing.
Jayden was quick to step in, "You guys were being controlled by a Nighlock. But don't worry. You're free now."
The chef workers took note of the broken window, "Do you mind fixing that?"
Jayden took note of it, "Of course." He turned to the other Rangers, "I'll leave the second life to you guys."
The five nodded, and as Jayden escorted the staff all back inside the building, Puppeteer grew into his second life.
"Nicely played, Rangers," he said. "But it's not over yet."
"Emily!" LZ said, still in her grasp. "Please let me fight alongside you."
"Of course!" Emily said. "I was thinking the same thing." She then took charge, "Activate Samurai Light Megazord!"
The Light Zord enlargened before letting the Dragon and Bear Zords become his legs, while the Turtle and Ape Zords became his arms.
Meanwhile, Antonio combined the Claw and Octo Zords, "Claw Battlezord: North! Ready!"
"Shogun Mode: Power of the Ancestors!" Kevin activated said Disk, and now the five Rangers all gained gold armor over their spandex, ready to fight the enlargened Puppeteer.
Samurai Light charged in first, punching the Nighlock multiple times before folding itself to duck as Claw behind it used its Octo Spear to strike.
Puppeteer was sent to the ground, but he was quick when getting back up. "I'm not going to make it that easy, Rangers!"
He then used his strings to grab ahold of the Octo Spear and pull it out of Claw's grasp. The Nighlock then swung it around. Samurai ducked as the Spear then hit Claw, sending it to the ground.
"Boss!" LZ cried out.
"We got this, Light Zord," Emily calmly told him, her peaceful demeanor and unconventional trust giving everyone the strength to keep fighting.
"She's right," Kevin added, following her example. "Dragon Leap!" He spun the Power Disk on his Sword, making the Megazord leap up into the air, due to Dragon pushing them up.
Samurai Light then landed, with Bear kicking Puppeteer right in the face.
"Now for the finisher!" Light Zord said.
The four controlling him all spun their Power Disks, "Katana Power: Light Javelin Strike!"
LZ spun his baton rapidly to build up momentum before throwing it towards Puppeteer like a javelin, destroying him.
As the Nighlock exploded and burst into flames, Kevin announced, "Samurai Rangers, Victory is Ours!"

"Now can we focus on having fun?!" Antonio practically begged Jayden.
The Haunted House was fixed and the staff there were all okay. They also had a line waiting outside now, so everything was back to normal.
The Rangers themselves were back at the food court, unmorphed and hungry.
Jayden chuckled, before answering, "I guess."
"You know," Mia brought up, "it concerns me that it took us three months just to find a Nighlock. Could we be getting rusty?"
"This one wasn't our fault," Kevin was quick to reply. "Octoroo placed up his Secret Barriers within the Haunted House attraction, thus allowing Puppeteer to remain there for days, weeks, months...heck, even years, before we would find him. We just happened to be in the right place at the right time."
"Yeah, remember last Christmas?" Antonio reminded them. "Octoroo and Antberry were in the forest, working on that well for who knows how long until they made the mistake of stealing from Santa Claus."
The others let out a laugh.
"I think Mia's point still stands, though," Emily spoke up. "We need to be ready for anything. Octoroo may be the only General left at this point, but he's rather crafty."
"Agreed," Jayden said. "But like Antonio said, we deserve a break every now and then. Now, can we please get some lunch? I'm hungry."
The others laughed before first securing a table.

Note: Emily's clairvoyance is what tells her that something is wrong with the Haunted House attraction, while Kevin uses logic to decipher the same thing.
Don't question me on Antonio's costume in this one, since in the first Halloween special, he also wore a pun costume. Why? Because that's who he is. Jayden's butler costume is a callback to (and from) "Heart of Yellow", and Mike's costume is a reference to his ethnicity. Emily, Mia, and Kevin's costumes are all just for fun.
And yes, I know this episode has similarities to Season 1's Christmas Special. That's on purpose.
