Chapter Six: True Love Conquers All
At the wedding ship, everything was decorated in pleasing colours as many banners were hung up as there were vases of white roses placed across the board, and all royal members or noblemen were standing on one of the sides to make an aisle for Prince Thomas and Daisy while bowing to show respect. As they crossed down the aisle with a red velvet carpet led to the priest, Daisy was carrying a bouquet of red roses with a gentle fake smile when she heard a vicious growl below her. There, she spotted Max growling dangerously at her, but before he could attack, Daisy kicked the sheepdog's nose to quiet him down, which only made the poor canine whimper, as Daisy walked snootily away from him. Once she and Prince Thomas made it to the end of the aisle, a priest named Skarloey was standing on a stool while reading from the wedding bible as he commenced the wedding.
As this occurred, Rosie kept panting and struggling to pull the heavy barrel, which contained Ashima in it, as the fish assured her best friend that they would get there in time. While swimming towards the ship, Skarloey was about to read "The-I-Do" vows part as Daisy looked at the dying sun with a smirk and a raised eyebrow before she drew her attention to Prince Thomas, "Now, umm… do you, Prince Thomas, take Vanessa to be your lawfully wedded wife, for as long as you both shall live?", Skarloey read the bible.
"I do.", Prince Thomas replied dryly as Daisy was pleased that things were going her way.
However, before Skarloey could ask Daisy the question, she felt that something wasn't right and surely, she was right as Salty led a flock of bluebirds towards her as they darted towards her. There, she spotted the birds as she ducked down before she noticed they were heading back towards her, which made her scream. The start of the chaos made Max bark wildly as more birds began to swoop towards the guests, making them run to take cover. However, this was far from over as a few seals hopped into the deck while seagulls dropped seaweeds and water at Daisy to cause delay for the wedding. Not long after, a blue lobster climbed on her as he pinched her nose hardly. This made her scream in pain, but only for the cry to be cut short when a bunch of starfishes flew and attached to her, including her face to cover her mouth.
As this chaos pursued, both Ashima and Rosie arrived at the boat just in time as Ashima climbed on one of the poles hurryingly so she could get to Prince Thomas. Once she got on the deck, she witnessed the whole sea creatures attacking and delaying the wedding as Daisy was tossed by seals, which made her land on the wedding cake, but before she could let out her rage, three dolphins hopped up to "cool her down" by squirting water at her face. Not long after, Salty went towards her face to let out an awful squawk, which stunned her for a moment, before she grabbed him by the neck, strangling him in the process. When Max saw Salty needed help, the sheepdog, who was on leash from Edward to control him, managed to break loose as he headed to his aid.
Once Max got to Daisy and Salty, he bit her hard, making her scream as Salty pulled her necklace, which caused the string to break and the golden seashell to go flying in the air. The golden seashell landed on the ground, causing it to shatter into many pieces. With that, Ashima's voice escaped from the broken seashell as it began to sing. This caused Prince Thomas to be free from being under a spell as he groaned and rubbed his head before he, the crowd, and Daisy turned their attention to Ashima. As they watched the event, Ashima's voice finally returned to Ashima as she gained her voice and finished her singing. Prince Thomas' eyes were wide in amazement, "Ashima?"
"Thomas!", Ashima exclaimed as Max ran to her, and he barked happily.
"You… you can talk?", Prince Thomas exclaimed as he headed towards her with a beaming smile, "You're the one!"
Daisy growled as she spoke with her usual voice, "Thomas! Get away from her!"
However, when she realised she sounded like her usual self, she covered her mouth in disbelief. Prince Thomas held Ashima's hand there as she had something to tell him. During this, the sun was started to disappear as Ashima, and Prince Thomas leaned in to kiss each other while Daisy cried in horror. To Ashima's unfortunate timing, she felt pain on her legs as she began to slip away from Prince Thomas, revealing her pair of fins to Prince Thomas and the crowd, You're too late. You're too late!", Daisy cried in victory and crazily as she blasted lightning before changing herself to her true form.
Once she changed her form, Daisy crawled with a dangerous growl of triumph towards Ashima as she grabbed her and covered her mouth one of her tentacles, "So long, lover boy!", Daisy taunted the prince as she hopped off the deck to swim back to sea with Ashima as her prisoner.
"Ashima!", Prince Thomas yelled out her name as he looked at the long-gone sea witch and her prisoner with pure dismay for Ashima and anger towards Daisy.
…
As Daisy dragged Ashima back to her domain, she began to fake pity her as she admitted that she didn't want just her, but someone more powerful and unbeatable. Just before they could enter Daisy's place, King Shankar showed up on time with Gordon right behind the King, giving the sea witch a glare, "Daisy, stop at once!", King Shankar commanded as he held his trident.
Daisy began to pretend that she was surprised to see him, "Oh! Why, King Shankar! Hahaha! How are you?" she teased while still holding Ashima's wrist tightly.
"Let her go!", King Shankar growled as he pointed his ready loaded trident at Daisy.
"Not a chance, Shankar!", Daisy sneered as she presented to contract to the King, "She's mine now! We made a deal."
Ashima felt a massive wave of remorse and shame as she began to apologise to her father, "Daddy, I'm sorry! I-I… I-I didn't mean to. I didn't know…"
King Shankar felt just as remorseful as his daughter for losing his temper and being prejudiced against humans in general as he wanted to protect and get his daughter back. So, he thought that to set his daughter, he must destroy the contract. With that, he blasted the contract with such fierce force, which made Daisy hit against the rock wall with the scroll in her hand and let go of his daughter. To King Shankar's horror, the contract was unbreakable, "Hah! You see? The contract's legal, binding and completely unbreakable, even from you!", she taunted as she used her dark magic on Ashima, which made her shrunk and slowly become one of the poor unfortunate soul as she looked at King Shankar evilly, "Of course, I always was a girl with an eye for a bargain. The daughter of the great sea king is a very precious commodity. But… I might be willing to make an exchange for someone even better."
…
Meanwhile, back at the ship, Prince Thomas was rowing his boat away as he was desperate to save Ashima as he didn't want to lose her again and tried to pay her back by saving her life in return. Edward was horrified by the prince's risky behaviour as he asked him what he was doing, to which Prince Thomas replied, "Edward, I lost her once, and I'm not going to lose her again!"
…
Ashima was getting much more unrecognisable as she began to look like dead kelp as Daisy asked King Shankar, "Now! Do we have a deal?"
King Shankar looked at his helpless daughter with great concern as he looked at the contract with hesitation. He knew that Daisy was up to no good, yet he always put his family first, no matter the circumstances. With that, he looked away from the contract as he blasted the contract to sign the scroll, which replaced Ashima's signature with King Shankar's. Once that was over, Daisy laughed uncontrollably as Ashima turned back to normal, but for the dark magic to hit King Shankar as he cried in horror as he had begun to shrink. Ashima watched her father helplessly as she called out for him, but once the dark magic was done, King Shankar became one of the poor unfortunate souls as his crown was much too big to fit his head, and he couldn't pick up his trident. Gordon was horrified to see his majesty like this, "Oh, your majesty.", he gasped.
"D-Daddy?", Ashima choked up her tears.
"At last. It's mine!", Daisy spoke to herself with such pride as she placed King Shankar's crown on her forehead before picking up the trident and began to go insane slowly.
Ashima crouched down to look at her defeated father with such pain before she looked at Daisy out of pure spite and rage, "Y-you…you… you monster!", she shouted as she swam to tackle the degrading sea witch as much force as she could.
However, Daisy was stronger as she pushed her aside and loaded the trident, preparing to blast her off, "Don't fool with me, you little brat! Contract or…"
But before she could finish her sentence, she felt a sharp pain scrape her left shoulder blade, which revealed her blood was black as the shadow. She winced in pain before she turned her direction to see Prince Thomas, who threw a spear at her. There, she growled like a vicious shark, "Why, you little troll!"
Ashima was horrified to see this as she warned him to swim away as it was too dangerous to confront the now tyrannical sea witch with King Shankar's trident. Prince Thomas didn't want to lose her again, but he listened to her as he went swimming back to the surface. However, Daisy commanded her minions, Arry and Bert, to go after him as Prince Thomas was about to hop on the boat. They obeyed and went to wrap their tails around him to prevent him from climbing on the boat. Both Gordon and Rosie watched in horror as they knew they must help him. With that, they swam to the rescue as Gordon pinched Arry's tail, which made him scream in agony while Rosie kept slapping Bert's face with her tail until he let go of the prince.
This fumed the sea witch as she gave a crazy as she smirked towards Ashima before aiming the loaded trident, "Say goodbye to your sweetheart."
Just before Daisy could blast Prince Thomas, Ashima swam to her as she pulled Daisy's hair, making her yell in agony. This resulted in her pointing the trident much higher than were her initial target, which made her blast Arry and Bert, causing them to be nothing but small pieces that couldn't be mended. Daisy was shocked as she swam to her now long-gone moray eels and began to sob, apologising to them for doing this. After her sorrow, it was quickly switched to pure rage with her eyes going red as blood as she watched Ashima catching up to Prince Thomas with the ocean looking purple as the midnight sky from the night sky.
With that, her sense of sanity was snapped as her anger built like her size as ink clouded the area like a cloud of soot dust. Her voice began to go deeper and deeper like a hungry whale but a temper that for a barracuda. Her teeth went sharper than ever as she loaded the trident, ready to take on her revenge and rule the seven seas. Gordon and Rosie witnessed the terrifying event with wide eyes as they shook in fear with the ink consuming them. Daisy has now gone completely mad.
…
The waves began to become unpredictable at the surface as the clouds started to cover the purple night sky. With the waves being unstable, it was a massive struggle for Ashima and Prince Thomas to swim to each other, but once they got close, they embraced each other as Ashima told Prince Thomas that he needed to get out of here, but he refused as he didn't want to lose her again. However, they still embracing, they felt a rumble beneath them with seafoam bubbles quickly produced with the water flowing around them like a spotlight. This startled them until they felt a barrier between their arms as they ended up gripping onto a now giant crown with Daisy arising from the sea below.
There, she became a monstrous, gigantic tyrannical sea witch as she began to cackle menacingly while looking at Ashima and Prince Thomas with a crazed fashion smile. As she began to get even bigger, Ashima and Prince Thomas dove back into the water for safety as they hugged each other, witnessing the power-driven sea witch, "You pitiful, insignificant, fool!", she spoke like a mighty lion as she lashed at the two enemies with her giant tentacle, only to miss them, "Now I am the ruler of all the ocean! The waves obey my every whim! The sea and all its spoil bow to my power!"
With that, she waved the trident as she manipulated the weather to cause a massive storm while she made huge waves, causing Prince Thomas to be carried away and splashed into the sea hard, making Ashima shriek in horror. However, Daisy was far from finished as she placed the trident into the water and began to stir like she was baking, causing the water the make a dangerous whirlpool as sunken and wrecked ships came back to the surface and began to swirl around the whirlpool.
Ashima was shocked as she navigated her way from the obstacle courses, and she hopped onto a rock for safety. However, she began to worry about where Prince Thomas was. Fortunately, Prince Thomas was alive and well as when he spotted one of the sunken ships, he thought it would be a great use in hand as he swam underneath the ship, grabbed onto the rope, and climbed on board, ready to take steer. Daisy thought Prince Thomas had perished as she then looked at Ashima with an evil smile as she blasted the rock, to which Ashima made a leap but fell into the whirlpool, causing her to be trapped.
There, Daisy attempted to blast Ashima as she kept moving away from it, knowing that she couldn't keep up with it, yet she didn't give up. While this occurred, Prince Thomas managed to steer the sunken ship with lightning and became more violent with waves still crashing so roughly. There he began to turn his direction to Daisy to stop this madness. As this happened, Daisy raised the trident as she spoke to Ashima with her final words, "So much for true love!"
However, before she could destroy Ashima, Prince Thomas headed towards Daisy as, by the time she turned her attention to him, the sunken ship impaled Daisy right at her stomach as he let out her final roar of pain and defeat with lightning struck her three times. There, Daisy began to sink as she dropped the trident and lost the crown with the weather slowly becoming more stable and calmer. Gordon and Rosie watched the whole event in awe and shock as Prince Thomas made it to shore, collapsing in exhaustion.
With Daisy being no more, the spell she inflicted upon the trapped victims were finally set free as they turned back into their mermaid or merman form as they swam away from Daisy's lair. King Shankar also turned back to normal as he grabbed his rightful trident and crown, and he cleaned up the mess and got everything back to normal. Ashima was also free from being trapped as when she swam up, dawn had come as she spotted the exhausted prince onshore. There, she swam to a close rock and watched him, hoping that nothing serious was wrong with him.
As she watched him, King Shankar and Gordon came to the surface as they watched how the love was real and raw from Ashima. There, King Shankar asked Gordon if she loved him and felt the same, and Gordon nodded as he gave an excellent lesson to the King that it's always good to allow children to be free and make choices. King Shankar was surprised about this as he thought about those wise words before he admitted that he would miss his daughter. There, he made his decision for his daughter's happiness as he blasted his magic from his trident to Ashima as she began to glow like the sun.
Ashima was confused until she realised she was gaining her pair of legs again, but this time, it was permanent. She smiled widely and earned a beautiful sparkly white dress that looked like purified water as she headed towards Prince Thomas. Prince Thomas saw something glowing, which hurt his eyes until he saw his true love as a human again. This made his mouth wide in awe before he sprinted towards her, picking her up in the air and doing a twirl. They both laughed and giggled before he put her down as they leaned towards each other's face without hesitation. They shared their first true love's kiss there, and their kiss was passionate and true. Their love was so strong and so powerful that they conquered all the obstacles.
…
Months went by, and Ashima and Prince Thomas got married on a wedding ship as they became husband and wife officially. Ashima wore a delicate white gown that had some sea them into it to honour her old home as she wore a beautiful golden crown and a sparkly silver veil. Max was delighted for the two as he licked at them before Ashima bid farewell to her family and friends. She hugged Rosie, Salty, and Gordon as they went back to the ocean. Not long after, her father rose from the water as he went to give her a big hug. There, she whispered to him that she loved him. King Shankar felt happy to see his daughter smile, and when he spotted Prince Thomas, he gave him a nod and a smile as he accepted him as his son-in-law. With that, he blessed the newlywed couple with a rainbow across the sea as Ashima, Prince Thomas, Rosie, Gordon, Salty, King Shankar, and every merfolk and humans lived happily ever after. The end.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I made this fanfiction as I held yet another competition on Twitter. The prize was a free Disney/TTTE request, and the winner's name is… RhapsodyBlueVA. He wanted me to do the movie "The Little Mermaid", and I'll admit, I have to rewatch it as I haven't seen it for so long, and I enjoyed it at every moment, and I wish I could live Under the Sea.
Also, this is in a different universe as I still forever ship Thomas with James as they are my OTP, and Shankar isn't related to Ashima. However, I'll admit, Thomas x Ashima is a pretty decent shipping not going to lie there, but I'm glad that I can do this for him, and I always enjoy writing.
By the way, do expect a TTTE Christmas Fanfiction, and… I got something quite BIG that will be heartwarming, and let's just say it's a friendship story that is so wholesome and adorable. It will be started somewhere in January next year or February, so be patient, and I highly appreciate those who were patient and understanding. Thank you all, and bless you all.
Anyways… I hope you guys enjoyed it, and I hope you love it, RhapsodyBlueVA!
