THE GOOD DOCTOR

Dawson, old bean...what would I be without you? My life would still be cold & empty if you hadn't shown up on my doorstep that fateful night in 1897...

Before you came, Dawson, I was a loner, with no room for anyone who could help me. I thought I could do it all alone. But I was wrong. The Flaversham Case was my biggest test ever--& I would not have passed it if you hadn't come to London.

I would be nothing without you, Dawson. It's that elementary that you are the greatest gift God has given me...apart from my wife & children, that is.

To me, Dawson, you are a close friend. The kind who would give the shirt off his back for you...yes, Dawson, you're that kind of friend to me. You make me happy when I'm feeling distressed, you tell me jokes that make me laugh & smile, you comfort me in my darkest hours...& for that, I'll always be grateful to you.

But you're not just a friend or sidekick to me. You are also my caretaker. You heal my wounds & soothe my pain as best you can...whenever I can't eat during a case, you're just that kind of mouse who will convince me to eat no matter what. And I appreciate you—no, admire you—for that.

Again, Dawson, you make my world complete. I am nothing without you...& that is why I always want you with me.

THE END
